Thoughts on the trailer:

I’ve been in shock so I haven’t actually said my thoughts on the trailer. So let me speak my truth now:

Ok, Joyce and Will, that opening man - that really got me screaming quietly because it was 3am. It was so healing to see them finally talk about it, we haven’t see that yet and I better see more conversations like that in s5 - them being able to talk about their trauma and start healing from it hopefully.. I’m happy to get that Joyce being a mother dynamic again with honestly, everyone not just will. Since, no shade to Joyce she was going through a lot but, I feel as though that mother dynamic was neglected due to her other story lines so I’m very happy to return to MOTHER JOYCE. Her with that axe? OH….LORD. Powerful. She’s gonna be so mother this season I know it.

THE WILL VOICE OVER, OH ITS SO HIS SEASON. SO HAPPY. LOVED THAT.

OK,,,, now wasn’t the biggest fan of half of the trailer being flashback scenes - BUT, we have already worked out a lot from leaks and stuff, so it’s just to not spoil the plot. So, sad but meh it’s fine - we got content, that’s all I need.

BARN SCENE - OK,,, what’s banging down the damn door? Joyce w axe!! From left to right in the background we have : Will, Erica, Derek, and Robin. Will and Robin interaction officially confirmed !! I’m aware we all knew already but I’m happy asf with Will and Robin interacting. Derek is either on the second floor, or floating to which HUH?? Hella confused.

HOLLY AND KAREN: Been knew that this was gonna happen, but still confused of what they are shocked at - ted isn’t in the shot so…. Maybe something is happening to him? I’m excited too see where they’ll go with this new storyline and exploring these characters more.

LUMAX, the only ship *cough cough* Byler was technically shown together *cough cough* that was shown in the teaser! We’ve seen this shot in bts before twice now, so easy shot to include. I’m happy that max is out of that full body cast but, how they are gonna wake her up and she plays a part in this season is a question mark for me right now.

DUSTIN & STEVE SHOT: Them looking up at something, we’ve seen this in leaks before - not sure what they’re doing but you can’t really tell much of anything from this shot. Other than a beaten up Dustin to which, been knew. The bullies obviously beat him up, confused on the timeline of these events though…hmmmmm.

HOPPER & EL: Ok, first off the duos are so clear by this teaser trailer! And I’m so happy for the hopper and el dynamic to come back full swing. We see alarms blasting as El screams and hopper comforts her, I’m not to sure where they are? Maybe the lab? Definitely somewhere that’s high security. And then, the edge of the wall - and hopper and el standing there looking at it, I’m very interested as to what this is and what the hell that brain like stuff is on the wall. The edge of the upside down because it only exists in Hawkins?? Are they in someone’s mind?? Hmmm interesting!

LEADER MIKE LEADER MIKE: OH, I LOVE THIS SHOT. OK LOADS TO UNPACK,,,

Mike is wet in this shot??? what?? And don’t think I forgot about that will byers wet bts pic too, byler is see you.

Mike protecting kids + Will & Joyce, I knew Derek was being added but I didn’t know about the other kids - I saw multiple people say that, they are Holly’s friends and … Mike sees himself in one of them and realises his feelings for Will were romantic. ABSOLUTE CINEMA. While I love Mike being a protector to those kids, I really hope they aren’t paired up with those kids for the entire season. I need Byler to have some solo moments.

Will in Joyce’s arms in the background,,, oh I feel ILL. Why is my poor boy exhausted / nearly unconscious?? From powers usage or injury…? I just want him to be happy guys.

MILITARY SHOT: NOW WHAT THE HELLY. Ok, the upsidedown ,saw someone say dragon from the painting and I do need that now, breaking the concrete.. SICK AS HELL.

WILL ONCE AGAIN PASSED OUT IN THE BACKGROUND WITH JOYCE BY HIM (?), NOT AS SICK AS HELL. IM SCARED FOR HIM, DESPITE ME KNOWING HES GONNA LIVE. STILL WANT HIM TO BE OK.

WILL SCREAMING - SO, we have our answers it was will screaming at Mike to run!! VERY TERRIFYING. AMAZING SHOT / SCENE. HORRIFYING SCREAM. EXCITED BUT SCARED. Not sure, why he’s screaming duh, But two main running theories are Will and something to do with possession or powers or both?.. I’m sat you guys.

I’M HAPPY THE TEASER TRAILER IS OUT, NOT SO HAPPY ABOUT THE GA BUT SIGHS GUESS ILL PUT UP WITH IT.

Hey lovelies. It's almost 2025! Holy moly! I can't even believe it honestly, where has this year gone? I have been so blessed to be able to spent a lot of it with so many of you, and getting to share in your laughter and your tears, and I am so very grateful for that. Tonight I just wanted to send you a quick reminder that if you need to get something off your chest -- please ,oh please, do. I know a lot of us worry about whether or not there are "worse things" going on for other people, and you know what, something is going bonkers for every person everywhere, and if we all just didn't talk to one another every time someone else was struggling with their own issues, no one would ever talk. Of course, be sure to ask if people have spoons, or find a group you know is cool with chatting (and obviously if they're laying in a hospital bed, maybe dont bug that person unless they say its okay)-- but please find someone to talk to. It's easy to fall into the pattern of "I don't want to bother people" or "My problems seem like so much less". You'd be surprised how much of your crew really cares and wants to help. I myself, when things get really tough, feel better when I get to talk to other people about their own issues, because I can put some love out into the world that I'm not feeling as strongly at the moment from elsewhere.

You never know until you ask, so please ask <3 Love you crew, take care of yourselves, ya hear?

So Fake Love by BTS was about love that was destined but ended up being fake. I think WHO is a similar concept.

Jimin is singing about Who is the Love has his heart, but has yet to find her. However, with all the hints, clues and symbolism of the LGTBQ community, I believe he is saying society, fans etc,. expect him to find a woman, but he has already found the love of his life in JK. He gives a subtle nod with the billboard screen that fell that showed his eyes. Also the phrase Keep Going on the screen coupled with the led screen for JK’s Coming Soon for Cinema has similarities. Is there a correlation?

OT7 and vmin say the eyes are Tae. But there is no mole. I think they are JK and Jimin has subtly done what he and JK wanted to do; show they are in love, they are partners, they are each other’s ride and die!

They enlisted together and they vacation together. They mentioned GCFT and they talk about we will see the real JM and JK. Will it be bro-code? Yes, but their chemistry and togetherness will come through!

Love these two and Jimin has a brilliant album that talks about being in love.

After watching the video multiple times and reading analysis with others, I have come up with more clues. I left this comment on a post on some site.

If you go back and watch the video, it appears most of it is in a dream state or parallel world. At the very beginning you actually hear all the sounds the ambient sounds such as the car driving by, car horns, people walking. Then he starts singing and all the ambient sounds go away. There are mechanics working in the background and you don’t hear any of that. They are ignoring all the dancers. Then the next sound you hear is the billboard dropping with JK’s eye (Tae has a mole under his eye). Then back to this alternate/parallel world with no ambient noise. There are glitches in the video, you have fake tornado’s and fireworks that you don’t hear. Cars turning over. No sound. Then after his last verse, who is my heart waiting for, he is walking and you hear all the ambient noise again. His footsteps, the cars, sirens. Back to reality. He is walking that red line that JK walked in Standing Next to You. I believe he is singing about what society expects of him regarding a relationship. Being with a girl. However, the whole promo and album is lgbtq coded. All the other songs are love songs as if he is already in love with someone. Jimin through his music, paintings, photo books has been telling us he supports and/or is part of the community. Many believe JM and JK have been in a relationship for years. There are plenty of clues from the promo as well. Muse is about what inspired Jimin to find love. He clearly sings about it. He co-wrote all the songs except WHO. He told the writer what he wanted to convey. Jimin and JK are doing as much as they can get away with confirming who they are and what they mean to each other. In the song Who, he never identifies a women who has his heart. He walks away. This song is so coded, but for those who don’t want to see or can’t see, the song fits his pop persona where people of all genders love his songs and can relate. No different than Ricky Martin, George Micheal singing to and about women. But we all know they eventually came out. Yet, they would still sing love songs between men and women. Sam Smith and Troy Sivoan went the route of singing about gay love  As we know, both JK and JM love them both, especially Troy.

Choi Haneul (최한얼), better known by the mononym Hana (하나), is a South Korean rapper-songwriter and record producer under Big Hit Music. She is a member in the co-ed group BTS, and has the positions of rapper alongside Suga, RM, and j-hope.

As a solo artist, she has released three self-produced digital singles, "NOBODY" in 2016 "Rain" in 2022 and two mini albums "ON/E" in 2016, "Killing Me Softly" in 2020 and "h" in 2022. She then made her official solo debut with her first studio album "HANA" on October 23, 2023.

Being the only female member in the group, Hana was not enlisted in the military and has since focused on solo career until further detail on BTS coming back.

Hana is set to make her first solo tour on November 2024 titled Choi Haneul | Hana.

Early Life

Choi Haneul was born on September 6, 1997, in Dunedin, New Zealand. Her family consists of her parents and a younger sister. She initially wanted to become an owner of a cafe in Seoul, but was later influenced to become a singer by watching Hyuna perform "Roll Deep" and "RED" on television, aspiring to be like her as well as BOA.

In 2011, Hana auditioned for the South Korean talent show Superstar K during its auditions in Dunedin. Though she was not selected, he received casting offers from three companies. She eventually chose to become a trainee under Big Hit Entertainment, however it is unknown as to why she that company to train under. She was well-liked amongst the company due to her dancing and rapping skills.

2015-present: BTS

On April 29, 2015, Hana made her debut as a member of BTS with the release of the mini album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life part 1 Under BTS, she released two solo tracks; the first was a pop track entitled "Never" on the 2016 album Wings and the second, an alt and rap track entitled "Zemblanity" on Love Yourself: Answer, follows Hana as she defines the ability to make expected, unlucky, and unhappy discoveries by design.

Hana (together with the rest of the BTS members) was ordained with the fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit by the President of South Korea. members of the group.

2016-present: Solo Activities

In June 2016, Hana released the song "NOBODY", for free on platforms such as YouTube.

On November 29, 2022,

Hana released the single "Rain" ahead of her first award show performance at the opening ceremony for the 2022 Mnet Asian Music Awards in Japan.

I haven't published anything BTS-related lately, and this may or may not be your cup of tea, but since it has been a year since I published my work I pasted below, I thought it would be nice to share it to this community as well. And for the fun of it, I might pull an excerpt as a plot for a BTS fic. Hehe.

I. CATHARSIS

If I could go back to a certain memory that we shared, it would be the quiet afternoon in your room. You had your eyes closed, and I was staring at you. Softly, I trailed my index finger on your nose and whispered, “I’m so in love with you,” and then you opened your eyes.

It wasn’t that I was trying to mimic a scene from a movie or emulate a page from a book, or perhaps I was, but also, in that very moment, it was when I meant it the most. I loved you the most, then.

Rainy days remind me of you.

Before you, rainy days remind me of my black boots and purposely jumping on puddles—I liked that my feet are safe from getting wet and cold. Rainy days make me relive the memory of rushing home, trying to outrun the rain, only to arrive with cold beaded sweats on my back.

I used to love rainy days during dry season. My mornings would start with blue skies and, come afternoon, they turn to grey clouds.

But now, I’m reminded of you. Altering my carefree memories in the rain with uncomfortable damp sneakers trudging on carpeted cinema floors. My joyful runs in the rain are now shared hesitant steps with you on slippery sidewalks.

It was rainy when I took you to this tiny coffee house I liked. You had too much coffee and I had too little words. To me, it was comfortable, warm, and we were sheltered from the storm.

Though I thought you put too much sugar in your coffee, I went home thinking that having you around wouldn’t be so bad. But while I had no doubt in my mind, you admitted yours were distraught. You didn’t like the silence, so you spent minutes thinking of something to say.

For some reason, it always rained when we shared good days. But it was the sunniest on the bad days.

I just wanted you to know that I loved you then and meant it. But I know now that I was in love with the idea of the relationship with you.

Yet I still don’t know why I spent days and nights crying over you. And that it was you who I missed and resented for leaving.

—

There’s a running slideshow of you in my mind. They’re strings of muted clips and images of who I thought you were — the person I met and saw throughout the relationship. Most days, the memories are blurred, even unrecognizable, that it slips past my consciousness. On rare days, it consumes me. It turns to a montage of a lost loved; a friend. The pieces run on fast-paced slides, but each frame remains as vivid and clear as the day it happened as if I were in that moment all over again.

Some days I really really miss you, but I remember how it felt being with you. I remember the desperation of wanting you to do things, the agony of waiting for words to come out of your insanely fucking thin lips.

I remember my patience running thin as I tell myself to wait a little bit more. To hold on to this love because it’s real. It may be real. Isn’t he real? So, I hold it out and allow myself to make room for you.

But you never even took me in.

Earnestly, fuck you.

I’m unearthing every single thing you told me. Lie or not. I don’t want to keep them anymore.

II. AFTER THE STORM

When confronted by the things, even the little things, that used to mean something to you, it’s like being dragged back to feel the pain of losing it again. That’s not even fair, isn’t it? Shouldn’t we be reminded of how good it felt to be in that moment instead of feeling the weight of losing it?

Why can’t we remember the great times and feel all the butterflies again? Why am I tormented by the heartache and bittersweet tears? Why does it feel this way? How can something that was once so great turn into the worst moment of my life that causes me discomfort?

Grasping at every ounce of genuine happiness I was allowed to feel; convincing myself that whatever weight that drags my heart has nothing to do with you. This is not a heartache. I have cried all there was. This longing has nothing to do with your hands no longer mine to reach. I am now fine, healed, and have moved on.

—

Hoping this surge of happiness will last and stay even on days I might remember a memory of you.

—

The only lingering fear I have is to no longer having the ability to feel the way I felt about you to anyone. And that scares me. So, I force myself to feel anything just to know.

I need to prove that I can learn how to adore the little things about someone again. And to re-learn is to want to make memories happen, allow myself to feel, and regain what I had lost. So, that is what I do now.

This is the girl I lost.

The girl who constantly wondered about everything — curious of everything and everyone around her, smiled at the tiniest gestures of love and kindness. The girl who always had overflowing affection from her heart — free to give to anyone. The girl who found love in everything she did and found contentment and expressed her gratitude in even the most mundane things.

I lost her when I tried so hard to fill the empty parts of you that were once taken, never requited; forgetting that I am capable of running out too.

When we’ve been hurt, we feel like we’ve been wronged. We start to spite those who hurt us, but more often than not, we forget that maybe, they are in pain too.

This. I want to keep this. For so many nights, I have prayed to the gods for a lighter heart before I sleep. I have been desperately grasping at false happiness and temporary pleasures to forget how pained I am.

For many days and nights now, my heart feels light, even at the reminder of you.

It’s somewhat strange to know all these little facts about you and your family, and yet, when I see you, I assume I’ll be greeting you no more than an acquaintance — a shallow familiarity shared.

Grad Film Experience - Tim, Sean, Mira & Mars

Yet another grad film after coming back from St Catherines! I am head over heels with this cast, crew, and production! Spending four really cold days at the Filmhouse working as a 1st AD was definitely a highlight over all the grad films! Despite the cold we were able to work our way through the schedule and I got the experience of working under time pressure, as we had to leave the Filmhouse by 5:30PM every day. It was also really nice to see how the camera team faked a working cinema through lights and perspectives, I was always in awe of the gaffing done!

Both cast and crew fought through the cold and were able to bring out smiles and laugh for all of the shooting days, it was a lovely experience and I would work with this team anytime again! (In much better temperature conditions, however...)
