alot of these are classified as "indie" or "rock," but there are a few in here that sound a bit like the Guys solo albums (eugh). there are ALOT ive put in here btw

paramore - been around alot longer than lvjy, and has a feel like lvjy + a woman lead band! sorry - also has a similar feel, created by two best friends! destroy boys - going on tour soon, and has a very grunge-y feel that some ex-fans could enjoy! los campesinos - also an older band, openly supports palestine, and really just good people + still making music arctic monkeys - i don't know much about AM, but i know lots of ex-fans have enjoyed them in the past, and they make good music the killers - ive been a fan of the killers for a extremely long time, and like all the others, they sound the same as lvjy, somewhat. they ARE better, though. the strokes - i also dont know Alot about the strokes, but from what ive heard, pretty good, silmiar to most bands ive put franz ferdinand - has a more 2000s rock feel, much like the killers or arctic monkeys cage the elephant - kindof folk punk? older band peach pit - HUGE fan of peach pit. genuinely, all their shit goes hard as fuck. good kid - same feel as lovejoy, but the members arent complete dickheads, and their songs sound different foster the people - ya remember that one band that made the song about a gun? yea, this is them

Young John Dory x GN Reader

Wanna go on a date?

JD paced around his grandmas house nervously. They were about to go on stage for the first time ever and he just couldn't help but freak out a little. What if he messes up a move? What if I one of his brothers mess up a line? WHAT IF HE MESSES UP A LINE?! He runs his hands through his hair and takes a deep breath. The producer announces that they are due on stage in 5 minutes. JD fixes his jacket and rounds up his brothers giving them a quick pep talk.

"Alright bros this is our first show and I know it's scary but just follow my lead and everything should be fine. You got this!" The brothers nod and before they know it they're on stage performing like it's no problem. It was actually quite fun! JD sings his solo while looking out at the crowd putting his hand out. He makes eye contact with a certain troll in the middle of the crowd and he feels as if his mind went blank for a second. There you were cheering for him so enthusiastically with a band shirt on and all. He doesn't think he's ever seen a troll as beautiful before. Pulling himself together John Dory continues to sing and finish the show with the others, however after getting back into his grandmas pod his mind can't help but wander back to you. Would he see you at the next show? Is he really thinking about someone this much after only just looking at them?! He didn't know why he was freaking out about you, but what he did know is that he really wants to meet you. Maybe you'll bump into each other around the tree or after a show?

Time passes by and the band becomes a hit among all the other trolls, to say John Dory was happy would be an understatement he was ecstatic! Finally his brothers and him were living a stable life. One thing still felt off to him tho, and that was the fact he hasn't seen that troll he saw during the first show. Everyday he'd take a stroll around the troll hoping praying he'd bump into but it just never happened. He hasn't even seen you at any of the shows after. Did you not like their music anymore? He'd think to himself. John's prayers would be answered soon tho after one of there biggest shows.

It was dark out as JD went out the back door of the stadium to take a quick breather. That was by far the biggest show they've had yet and he was exhausted. He takes a deep breath and looks around to see a small cart near by, and what would you know! They were selling burgers! John dory's favorite! John walks up to the stand and orders. While walking away tho he feels himself collide with someone and both fall on their butts. The person freaks out.

"OH MY GOSH! I'm so sorry. I should've looked where I was going!" A hand enters John's view as he gets his bearings. He accepts without too much thought and brushes himself off. "Hey it's alright! Just a little stumble nothing too bad." He finally looks up and gets a proper look at the person who he collided with and pauses. It's you! The one troll he's been hoping to bump into for months now! "Gosh they look gorgeous up close" JD thought to himself. Smiling awkwardly John Dory laughs and quickly introduces myself. "I'm uh John btw" he puts out his hand for a shake. The troll looks at him smiling and accepts "I'm Y/N! Sorry again for the whole bumping into you. Are you sure you're ok?" JD smiles and nods "yup I'm fine!."

"Well I'm glad. I uh know this is probably weird but aren't you part of Brozone?" Y/N says while fidgeting with their hands. JD smirks smugly "Heh yeah. You a fan?". Y/N grins widely and proceeds to nod enthusiastically. "Uh yeah! I'm a huge fan! Would it be ok if I got your autograph?". Y/N stares at him in hope with their hands together in a plea. JD shakes his head smiling. Not only were you the one he's been wanting to bump into, you were also a huge fan! Maybe he just never saw you in the crowd cause of how big it gets. It doesn't matter really cause JD is getting his shot now and you bet he's gonna take it!

“Of course anything for a fan! Although uh would it be fine if I get something in return?". Y/N looks at him a bit confused but nods after all what the worst he could ask for? "Sure! Seems fair to me!" Y/N says as they pull out a photo card of JD and his brothers on it and hands it to JD. He takes it and writes his autograph as nicely as possible he wants it to look good for you! After handing back the card you look at him. "Soooo what would you like in return?". JD smiles shyly and puts his hand behind his neck. "It's uh a little weird but I was hoping in return I could ask you on a date?....". Y/N flushes up while looking at him in shock. "Oh... oh! I-i would love too!" Y/N looks at him with the biggest grin jumping up and down a little. JD looks shocked as well but quickly starts smiling too. "Awesome! How about tomorrow? We can meet here again.". Y/N nods "Sounds like a plan!". They stand there for a second in silence soaking in their conversation. " I should probably get back before my brothers start to worry. I'll see you tomorrow?" JD asks while holding his arm. Y/N nods "Yup tomorrow. I'll definitely be there! Thanks again for the autograph...". JD grins "Anything for a fan. See ya Beautiful!" He quickly runs off to back to the stadium slightly skipping. Y/N watches him run off with a huge blush. Beautiful? He called you beautiful! Smiling widely you turn around and head back home.

JD makes it back to the showroom where they got ready and sees all his brothers. They look at him as he barges through the door ecstatic. "GUESS WHO JUST GOT A DATE BROS!". JD fist bumps the air grinning. "THIS GUY!". Bruce and clay giggle while Floyd just shakes his head with a smile. It's nice to see their brother so happy. Hopefully this date goes well.

not weird at all!! my personal favorite songs are confidant, cut corners on short walks, sun machine, and barts bike. i think a good place to start though is, and everbody else smiled back, it’s my favorite of their albums. and my favorite ep by them is, i want to feel chaotic, hope this helps :)

I’ve been itching to talk about my [Orange Cat] even though I’ve posted little and less about her, so bear with me.

Tangy loves a good Bard Performance. It makes the blood sing (on the battlefield) and a good song meets the stamp of boots and rattles in the bones and distracts from the bruises and aches and blood. Bare your teeth and roar to the time of a bards rising voice yk. Her favorite performances include flute or panpipes and bird whistles tho. She’ll space out thinking about clear streams and sunlight filtering through the trees and- oh, she fell asleep during the performance, it’s been over for a number of hours 🫣.

As a bonus tidbit in a modern au her go to would be Garage Bands btw. Unrefined and energized and crowded up in someone’s basement at 10 pm and there’s a chance the police show up for the noise complaint or w/e

sour how do you feel about fob’s music post-hiatus vs pre-hiatus? also how do you feel about the shift in their public image as well as the shift in their fan base between these time periods? i find the way they seemed to be perceived as a band and as people pre-haitus vs post-hiatus really intriguing and would love to hear your thoughts on it

interestingly i think i used to absolutely adore folie and tttyg when i was younger like i think a lot of teens do, but i feel like my taste has changed now and those albums are probably some of my least favorites (though i love all of it, lol). i will say headfirst slide is one of the greatest songs theyve ever put out and is definitely in my top 5, i think tttyg is charming and very solid but it feels a bit more repetitive now that im older. im gonna get shot for this but i think some of the musical styles on folie have become less appealing to me as i have aged

ioh and cork tree are obviously amazing, i think everyone agrees on that and i have a tough time picking between the two

personally right now i think save rock and roll is their best album, i think its one of the strongest lyrically if not the strongest. save rock and roll was also what introduced me to fall out boy so maybe im biased but at this point in my life i really think its their best album, the lyrics are absolutely incredible and i feel like the way the artist features meld with the record thematically is really impressive and the ybc thing they did was really amazing in my opinion, i feel like people dont appreciate it as much anymore because i believe its age restricted on youtube now

i think abap is one of their weaker albums in terms of lyrics to be honest, i feel like the two biggest songs were reliant on a sample and something another girl wrote/sang and the album was also short. its still very solid and very catchy but it felt a bit underwhelming because of that. it was also extremely, extremely overplayed when i was in high school, so that might be part of why i dislike it, and it is their worst album art by far.

mania i think is interesting, i didnt like it at first and i do think it has its shortcomings (its short, they did scrap and rewrite it on a short timeframe) and is definitely experimental but it has some really amazing songs-- i think last of the real ones is one of the best theyve ever put out. its by no means their worst album. i do not think young and menace should have been the lead single, i think that turned basically everyone off to the album and i remember i actually cried in the bathroom at school when it came out. i think if last of the real ones had been the lead the reception would have been very different. however, the visuals for the album on their tour as well as the cover and the merch/promo they did is some of the best ive ever seen. i also loved loved loved dear future self

i do think their public image shift is interesting--andy used to widely be considered to sleep around a lot but my generation kind of views him as a wholesome teddy bear, lol, and pete has been very successful at rehabbing his image haha. patrick and joe i think are more or less the same but when i was a teenager literally everyone acted like patrick did not know what sex was, which was a bit weird, and i think that was exclusive to like 2013-2016 bandom

BTW i think my top 5 songs ever in no particular order is just one yesterday, last of the real ones, headfirst slide, hum hallelujah, and then.... im not sure

1 - Favorite is definitely my boy Onycraft..... the fucking guy ever I stopped using him for a hot minute but ngl I couldn't be happier to have brought him back, probably corny to pick my oldest oc ever but call me ohio because im corn as fuck

2 - Ok this is almost definitely cheating but i think, safest bet would be my guy Alendren solely because hes from some race of space giants who literally create planets and goku would be like a tiny bug in his hand

In terms of a relatively fair-er fight though (not immortal and not unfathomably massive) I'd probably go with my other guy Yoholeio, due to both him being a very skilled marksman who collects guns and me currently having no reason to beleive that you cannot just shoot goku if you tried hard enough even though I know you said "beat up" but the idea of some middle aged monster guy shooting goku is too funny to me to not mention (I have not watched dbz in, probably a solid decade btw but its ok)

3 - My god I could never possibly choose, my cats do both....... mrep mrow dual weilders when I get out their food or when I exist anywhere ever

4 - Unless a palm tree counts as a fursona I dont, but I think if I had one it'd probably be... star nosed mole, I love those thangs also because i cant fuckig see and my legs are weird and I yearn for the soil

5 - Green Beans, worst thing I have ever eaten in my entire life and bear in mind I have literally eaten dry dog food before, I would genuinely eat shitty cheap brand dog food kibble before ever eating green beans again, I WILL die on this hill
