Warning: very VERY long read. I got a bit more extensive than I thought I would.

Ships that have a chokehold on me:

Keqing x Heizou: would hate each other at first, but with enough time and maybe one night of forced deep conversation realize that they have a lot in common? Both are very dedicated to their work, almost to a fault, but have very different working styles

Barbara x Bennett : I'm a sucker for character A chastising character B for getting hurt while they patch them up

Amber x Razor: hc Amber to be 18-20 and Razor to be 17-18 in case anyone's alarmed. It's the bunny x wolf and "outgoing girl helps awkward and closed off boy get out of his comfort zone" for me

Jean x Diluc: fully convinced they're exes and Diluc still has feelings for Jean at least. You can't tell me that one of the reasons he went to the summer islands wasn't to see Jean in her summer fit

Kazuha x Xiangling: mostly QPR, Xiangling canonically sails with the Crux Fleet sometimes so I'm pretty sure they have an established friendship of sorts already

Ayaka x Thoma: am a sucker for royalty x servant type dynamics, they'd be really sweet together, and I totally bought the pre-Inazuma rumors that they were gonna be fiances...

Xiangling x Xiao: all it took was one(1) fic which is now lost forever :( but either way I'm sold now

Mona x Scaramouche/Wanderer: look aesthetically pleasing together, plus I like the bickering between the two of them in the fics I read

Ships I can enjoy:

Bennett x Fischl: mainly for the ship name puns, but also I like their friendship a lot it's very cute

Ayaka x Kazuha: angst edition in which they try to maintain a long distance but after a while Ayaka can't take it anymore and breaks it off. Other than that I think they look really pretty together and they think really highly of each other

Beidou x Ningguang: Lantern Rite 2021 sold me on this ship. Like sure you guys, you just play chess and nothing more. Sure sure sure-

Xinyan x Yun Jin: Lantern Rite 2021 also sold me on it

Katheryne x Wanderer: @probably-impossible has me hook line and sinker it's such a silly ship but also makes so much sense for some reason?? Content for it has died down but I look back on that time fondly

Dehya x Dunyuzard: look me dead in the eye and tell me they aren't dating. You can't

Cyno x Nilou: the fanarts get me every time in a way I can't explain I feel so much feeling whenever I see them that it borders on having a chokehold on me. It's only here because I only feel the feelings when I remember they exist which isn't very often

I'll be honest I didn't know much about her before 2.8

But I am in love with their Older/younger sister relationship and will mention it a lot

Fischl beat down her door to get her to come because of course she did

So Mona's first games were with Fischl, Bennett, and Razor

Despite her water-cloak speed, Mona would make a better Hunter than Rebel

As a Hunter, its kind of like she doesn't take it very seriously at first

She does what she needs to do, finds who she wants to find, and just puts minimal effort in it sometimes

It's no big deal if she loses

Unless

Said rebels are being little shits

Because Mona gets provoked easily

And when she does she gets 100x more serious

She will find and wreck your ass

Honestly though sometimes it's so hard not to mess with her when she's a hunter

Her reactions to bait traps are so fricken funny

Kaeya and Fischl use them so often and Mona is fuming

"AAH! WHICH ONE OF YOU DID THAT?? I SWEAR, I WILL FIND YOU AND I WILL HAVE YOU TAKEN DOWN, MARK MY WORDS"

But it happens so often

And honestly she usually does get said asshole rebel for it

She actually only uses her water cloak in emergencies, like when the Rebel is riiight there and she needs a boost

Games with people like Noelle, Sucrose, and Barbara she likes a lot because they aren't so bent on teasing her

Games with people like Fischl, Kaeya, and Lisa, she will go apeshit

That's basically how she is

She'd use teasing only sometimes, and usually as a close-to-last resort

And only on people she'd know well/ knows they'll react

So only really Fischl, Bennett, Razor, Noelle, Klee, and Aether

But she's good at it

Because even if she's never tickled you before she can just see your spots

Hunter Mona

Now for Rebel Mona

She's quite decent

Chooses decent spots

Uses her skills to her best advantage

She's your average Rebel

Although very weak to teasing

She'll tease as a hunter

But she's one of those people who are the epitome of "cant take what you dish out"

Like she'll be idk a fucking lantern and then hunter starts teasing and she goes bright red

Also v ticklish so that's just an excellent plus

And and and it's fun to scare her when she doesn't see you coming

Like as a hunter, she'd only use her water cloak in emergencies, like when being pursued and having to make a quick getaway

She's tall

She can be outrun though, if you're someone like Beidou or Keqing

Rarely ever uses her vision

She'd only use it a little if she's running out of time and determined to win

She is also good!

She's one of the taller people, so of course she'd have to be fast

pls I'm gonna be mentioning Beidou so much here (so what if I ship beigguang)

But yea if it's Beidou or someone who's usually more confident then she often uses bait trap

And especially often whenever it's just them two

It'll pop and Beidou's just "Ohhhh you-" but playfully

And Ningguang can't say that she doesn't feel a little giddy from hearing that

I feel like she isn't very ticklish, and people like Ganyu, Hu tao, Traveler, and Kazuha know

Ningguang doesn't find them knowing very embarrassing

But nobody really tries to tickle her if they find her bc they think shes not gonna react much and just get them back (esp Kazuha and Ganyu)

But when it's just her and Beidou

Beidou knows her spots very well so it leads to very fun endings to the game

She can pick out decent hiding spots

She would prefer to be somewhere that's more hidden rather than trying to blend in, because she most likely wouldn't be able handle it if the hunter were to be right in front of her

Teasing gets her too fricken bad

She'd be blushing a lot and noticeably shifting around lmao

Way more likely to stumble or smth and accidentally get herself caught

Usually when teasing starts she'd make a few attempts to move her spot as well

The only times she really pushes herself to win are times when she's the last rebel standing (somehow) and someone from the captured rebels says "win for us!"

And then she just. Gets her head in the game

Gets so much faster

So much better at taking teases

So if she's gonna win as a Rebel it's most likely gonna be like this

For Hunter

A little better because she doesn't have to worry about anyone finding her

Rather, it's her finding them

She does her best in looking around, and tends to make note of certain spots to check for any differences later

Does her best to be thorough in checking the area

And she does a pretty good job

If the hunter's an asshole (Kaeya, Lumine) they'd be much more likely to use the bait trick on her

Gets her every time

And then after it pops whoever did her in gets hit on the arm by Albedo/Amber or anyone else with sympathy who's on the Rebel team

Prone to getting scared once she finds someone

If they jump out like "BAH" then she's done

Cannot tease well to save her life

She's made attempts before though

They'd only really work on Chongyun and maybe Bennett, possibly Aether

But only possibly, cause while he's insanely ticklish and prone to teasing he may also be giggling at her poor attempts cause he's a shit like that

Her favorite people to play with would be Jean, Aether & Lumine, Barbara, Klee, Bennett, Sucrose (most of the knights), and Yanfei

It's obvious who wins but he's still be so nice but so mischievous and he'd scare her and everything but go easy on her at the same time

Maybe better Rebel because for her, the task of "hiding" is easier than "finding", where she would most likely be alone

No strategy

It rarely genuinely fools people, but they let her be anyway

Teasing doesn't work on her

I feel like she wouldn't be as ticklish anymore and forgets the feeling often so it doesn't bug her

Also half the time she can't understand what they mean

I mean that's a plus she has on most of the Genshin cast lmao

Anticipation box doesn't do much either, she's just "oh no I'm in trap"

And most of the time the hunter would let her win anyway bc they soft

Even when the hunter is Xiao

If there's a few people in the game then he's gotta do Qiqi in bc he has a reputation to uphold as an undefeated hunter

But if it's just him and Qiqi he'll let her win

Because come on

How can he if he doesn't have to

As a hunter

Also no strategy

Just tries her best tapping random things

If someone's being obvious about being there then she's probably gonna notice however

Not very good at chases

Short legs = disadvantage (minus Sayu)

The rebels often let her catch them still

They want her to have fun and if they make it too hard for her it would be sad 😞

I mean she's not gonna get upset but still

Sometimes she gets distracted too

She'd just start climbing random trees or walking around

Because she forgets what she's doing

And sometimes a Rebel would have to make themselves obvious for Qiqi to get her head back in the game

Thoma has willingly sacrificed himself many times for this cause

Not a teaser, it just doesn't affect her much

Also not a tickler, unless another Rebel tells her to when she's got someone

Upcoming Genshin Impact Characters (2.1)

Ok, I didn't post in a while but it was because I was finishing my first semester

Saw this on genshin's Twitter account and I have to give my guesses

Also, this concidering the weapons that they carried (Kokomi a catalyst (?), Sara a bow, Aloy has been confirmed to be a bow, Raiden sword and Thoma a spear (?))

So, who are the new characters?

And probably Thoma (he appears in a video of @yoimiya (Twitter) in which he's in the serenitea pot) But Paimon didn't post anything about Thoma so....

To be honest, I want Sara to come home, I like her appearance, she looks like a Tengu

What is their rarity (4 or 5*)

My guess is that Raiden is a 5* while Aloy is a 4*, just saying this because of the two previous archon being 5*, but this could not be true, plus her weapon is now in game

Aloy's case I'm almost sure (like 99%) that she's a 4* because of a rumor that she's going to be send through the in-game mail, once again, I don't know how true this is

Sara and Kokomi are quite difficult to say

It could be possible that Sara is the other 5* because of this pattern

Almost every 4* has a 5* counterpart (and vise versa in Diluc and Xinyan and Klee with Yanfei case)

Xiangling has Hutao, Barbara and Mona, Diona and Ganyu, Kaeya and Qiqi (or Ayaka concidering she was in prior to Qiqi), Amber and Yomiya and Chongyun with Eula

The only exception that has both the element, weapon and rarity is Razor and Beidou

Looking at this history of characters, the chances of Sara being a 5* are quite big, but there is a chance she's a 4*

Plus, concidering that Sara is coming out with another electro character, it could be possible that one of them is a 4*

But then again, Electro has like two 5* if we concider the traveler

I'm going to do a jump of faith and say that Sara could be the other 4*

Same story with Kokomi, (this could also apply to Raiden)

4* (or traveler), 5*, 5*

Kaeya, Qiqi, Ayaka

Anemo traveler, Jean, Kazuha

If you look this, you'll notice the first character is technically easy to get, the second is a permanent one while the third comes from a time limited banner

If we concider that Kokomi is indeed a catalyst user, then it is probably that she's a 5*

Using this logic could also say that Sara is going to be a 5* and a permanent one, but I don't think so

Thoma might be coming too, and Hutao was limited so he might also be a 5*, but there were leaks about him being a 4*, those same leak told us some characters, like Saiyu and Rosalia were 4* and Kazuha as a 5*, but Hutao was also leaked as a 4*, later changed to a 5*, and about Mimi, who is probably the character we know as Kokomi or could be part of her family and possibly Barbara and Jean's case

TLDR

Raiden and Aloy have bigger chances of being a 5* and 4* respectebly

Sara's chances of being a 5* are quite big but she also has a chance of being a 4*

Kokomi is probably a 5*

Thoma could be the next Hutao (previously a 4*, now a 5*) or not, but miHoYo hasn't confirmed anything about him

BNHA characters and their genshin experiences

I've been way into genshin for the past couple months, if anyone wants to play with me message me (I'm lvl 45 rn) but be warned I have shitty internet and am a partial razor main

but this is mainly characters I can see actually putting time into genshin

Bakugou

Mains: Yanfei

his main has probably been most every pyro character at some point

he wants diluc so bad, whenever someone else complains that diluc ruined their pity he wants to ruin their existence

before yanfei his main was probably hu Tao

hed definitely play klee if he had her lmao but he doesnt and is patiently waiting for her rerun

he has a lot of 5 star characters and is f2p, he can always get banner characters within at least the first pity, but for standard 5 stars hes gotten keqing and qiqi way too many times and hes livid

especially as a previous hu tao main, he was begging for Jean, still has yet to come home

hes probably a very high level, not fully maxed out considering he hasnt been playing all that long, he was probably forced to start when the rest of the bakusquad started playing it and he just took off

has really shitty artifact luck though, like his characters arent bad or anything but they could be so, so much better

and ugh hes livid

explores everything, has 100% exploration everywhere, but hes not bored hes still got artifact farming to do and he enjoys terrorizing enemies

in co op he will set you and everything around you on fire. cope.

probably only started playing because Izuku asked him to

kaeya has also been on his team since day 1 and he is never leaving doesnt matter his friendship has been level 10 for weeks now who cares

was f2p until xiao, who didnt want to come home at all, and he finally got him on his 180th pull

now he doesnt care and will buy primogems whenever hes bored

he has a lot of constellations on kaeya and hes so proud of that, probably c4, is considering buying way too many primogems just so that he can hopefully get his c6

now his artifact luck is godly, you'll go into a domain with him and be like ugh I got nothing and hes like I got a 4 piece set with all attack or crit rate/damage main stats like haha I hate you

but yeah his characters are very strong cause of this, but he doesnt put effort into building a lot of them, he only levels up and gives good artifacts to his team and a couple other characters he likes but everyone else just sits there for a while

hes not super obsessed with the game, but he does think its funny seeing bakugou get so upset whenever they do domains together

doesnt even bother doing daily tasks really unless hes trying to save primogems

Midoriya

hes so good at building characters, like he looks up builds online and watches those "do INSANE damage with these tips" videos - and he sets out to get them done and he does

bakugou is once again livid whenever they play together, because Izuku barely has to try and can do so much more damage than him

he does have to put in a lot of work for his artifacts though because he doesnt settle for the okay ones he needs the absolute best

he builds his favorite characters the most ofc, but he evenly distributes things to other characters he knows can be useful- those characters might not have insane stats but they're still good

will not kill timmies pigeons, hell hunt birds in the wild for fun though

definitely a food hoarder

also does a lot of exploring and probably has at least 90% for each area

he is 1000% in love with Lisa, he took her quest very seriously

and so many people say shes horrible, he hates it, hes made her crazy strong out of spite

for a long time beidou was his second but then rosaria came along and hes like ugh big tiddy goth gf, but lisa still remains queen

he doesnt care too much about most 5 stars but will sometimes get them just to say he has them, but they end up just sitting there rotting away because he never puts work into them

he does have hu tao though and would get ganyu if she ever had a rerun

Kirishima

Mains: Diluc Razor or Beidou

they're all on his team, the last person switches out but it's most likely zhongli or childe

hes all about dps, support who, he just wants to hit hard and do insane damage , so yes he made dps zhongli

except his builds arent that great, with some help his builds are decent, but on his own hell be like ugh that's some sexy 300 damage

probably didnt know what 90% of the stats even meant and just put random attack ones on people and went yeah that looks good

doesnt really care though and is just having fun so hell play how he wants (as he should) but he does have to ask for help when farming bosses

loves exploring but misses so much, hell get distracted easily and end up just messing around

honestly probably hasnt bothered to ascend his world since he got to level 35, if he did the quest hed probably go straight to 45 and even then hed still have extra exp because hes been there for so long oml

but eventually he would have to and hed be trying to do it like :,) this is fine and it takes him a lot of tries but he gets there eventually,,, only to immediately have another one waiting for him poor baby

Mina

Mains: Klee or Xiangling

thinks baizhu is hot (and is correct) so shes desperately waiting for him

was a I must play 24/7 player until after the last story quest, then she got kinda bored but still plays frequently so she can save primogems and likes playing co op

goes into random peoples worlds a lot

shes got some pretty strong characters and is proud of her account

definitely makes tiktoks of her playing with the bakusquad cause it's always v chaotic (it's probably only denki and kirishima most of the time, but sometimes either bakugou or sero will join in)

does all the genshin tiktok trends

shes a pretty high level since shes probably been playing for a while and has most everything done

she loves helping lower level people though she thinks it's so cute and loves the power she feels when she one shots things

Sero

Mains: Xingqui

hes a pretty casual player, kinda only plays when hes bored or the others make him play with them

but his stats arent too bad, they're fairly average but he gets by

has so many primogems because he doesnt bother to wish on anyone, probably wants kazuha though

he does get super invested into the story though, hes so curious about the world and where the story is gonna lead

probably watches a lot of genshin theory videos and now he over thinks everything in the game

he explores a lot, not so much to find every single thing but more so just because he likes looking at everything, hes very excited for all the new places

Shinsou

Mains: Childe

hes a very thorough player, he explores a lot and puts a lot of work into building his characters

most of them arent all that great but he has plans to fix them

his main team is very well built, not the best, but still good

he struggles when he has to switch someone out for a domain or something because his other characters are so painfully mediocre right now and he feels so bad

shinsou, playing a character that can do like max 200 physical damage and biggest damage is like 2 thousand, repeatedly saying I'm sorry, I'm sorry, you deserve so much better, I'm so sorry

even if it's not the worst damage by far, he feels bad about anything under his main team's stats because they're just so much higher

broke. has no primogems. spent them all on childe and his constellations. does he regret it? well he sure does appreciate his c6 so- hell manage

yes he spent real money on his stupid mass murderer who he loves very much

fights childe every day even though he already collected the treasure, he is but a humble simp

probably decently lucky with wishing like he can beat the 50/50 almost every time

Tamaki

Mains: Chongyun and Sucrose

he only started playing recently, probably kirishima got him into it, but he immediately fell in love

kirishima was like tell me when you're level 16 so we can play together !!! and 2 days later tamaki was level 16 and kiri was shook because how the hell did he do it so fast

hates domains, the dread he feels when he realizes the lower level isnt going to give him anything anymore, and he has to move up to the next, and the next,,

asks kirishima to help him only to realize he isnt much help, is too nice to say that so he let's kiri keep trying- one day kiri gets deku to play with the two of them and tamaki almost cries because finally he can get through the level 90 domain and actually get things ugh

cannot get xingqui to save his life he refuses to come home and poor tamaki is so sad he wants him a lot hes even got all his materials saved up

Monoma

Mains: Ningguang

honestly doesnt play all that much but takes pride in making his account seem v good, is a whale

but hes very good at the game, didnt know what the artifacts were for at first and gave people ones based on how they looked but once he figured it out hes fixed them

is a very standard player, logs in every day to do his commissions and use his resin then logs out, he doesnt put too much time into the game and doesnt worry if he misses a day or two

worships ningguang, also really likes xinyan, his other team members are probably venti and albedo

has every single banner 5 star that has come out since he started playing, probably doesnt have klee though and is v upset about it, and is thanking the heavens for all the reruns lately

also doesnt have keqing and wants her a lot cause he likes her

accepts every single co op request he gets, and despite what a lot may think hes actually a very nice person to play with, not toxic at all - unless you're someone he knows then he might be mean to you shshshsh

Shigaraki

Mains: Razor

haha isnt it so odd that they sound so similar haha (if you dont know they have the same japanese va and I'm guessing hed play it in Japanese)

obviously he can be kinda busy ya know being a criminal and all that but when hes not he puts a lot of time into genshin

sadly doesnt have very good luck when it comes to characters or artifacts, but hes doing his best even with 0 primogems and his 50% crit rate

doesnt explore all that much, most of the exploring hes done came from him trying to get all the oculus

his razor is so good though, except that's the only character hes put tons of effort into

except for now zhongli, hes not replacing razor but ugh does he love zhongli

but his other characters are pretty mediocre at best, he could build them if he wanted to, hes good enough at gaming to figure it out, he just doesnt have the time to spend to do it so he focuses on his main team

also (spoiler alert kinda) when we had to go to the wolf spirit to fight the abyss herald and razor was there, afterwards how razor was saying how he was too weak and stuff and was super sad, at that very moment shiggy decided the entire abyss order had to be destroyed - sorry aether (he chose lumine) but razor is more important than you

The Traveler (f)

I’m that basic bitch who never removes my first character from my party, always uses my starter Pokémon, etc. I’m also the basic bitch that uses the traveler with anemo and only anemo.

Barbara!

She’s super useful against things like rock and fire slimes! and she heals!

Ningguang!

One of the first characters I actually pulled and I just?? love her so much?? she’s so damn useful against the robots and the flying sky orbs! and she has a shield!!

Kaeya!

This basic bitch loves themselves an ice daddy.

Do I use him with Barbara to freeze enemies? yes. do I also use him so I don’t have to swim anymore? also yes.

Diona!

I was today years old when I noticed Diona has squish bean toes on her gloves...

And that Diona special actually pretty much slaps.

Beidou!

My heavy hitter! one of my only heavy hitters, and my main electro user (I don’t care to use Lisa tbh) she’s super useful against rock, and nearly took down the geo hypostasis on her own! (mainly because hardly anyone else could do any damage.)

Xinyan!

And my fire gorl! she doesn’t really do much damage compared to Beidou as a great sword user, but she’s fire! and really that’s pretty much as good as you need to be to be hekka useful, gimme some redundant characters, game!

Group #3 for Windtrace Headcanons!

In this group: Chongyun, Diluc, Diona, and Eula

Chongyun

Lord have mercy

He heard of it from Xiangling, who was talking non-stop about how fun it was after a trip to Mondstadt with Beidou

Eventually, He, Xingqiu, and Xinyan got a chance to go see Mondstadt, and Xiangling got to come with

Windtrace was still being held, so travelers urged them to play a few games together!

At the start they were all pretty shit lmao (besides Xiangling, she played a few times with Beidou)

After a couple more rounds, they got the hang of it!

Chongyun is not the best player, I'll say that

He's not the worst either, though

He makes a much better Hunter than a Rebel

As a Hunter, he makes sure he stays alert at all times for any movement or sounds someone could make

He's pretty fast too, so it's gonna be a challenge to outrun him when trying to get away

He usually giggles a bit whenever he catches someone because I find that so cute

Then he sets off for the next person

He's not the type to tease, because, like Bennett, would only fluster himself. Unlike Bennett, he wouldn't dare try. His best friend (or bf who knows) is Xingqiu, who would never let him hear the end of it

As a rebel however

He's not too great but he's not awful

Like Barbara, picks a hiding spot and sticks with it unless he has to move

Usually gets found rather quickly, but has survived through entire games before

Just not as the only one left

He is w e a k to teasing

It could literally be Noelle fumbling over her words and he'd still go bright red in the face

He blushes so much it's so cute

And he gets really giggly

One time he was playing 1v1 with Xingqiu, With Xingqiu as the Hunter (can never end good)

Xingqiu brought out the "I'm gonna catch you! And when I do, I'll tickle-tickle you~"

My poor boy died on the spot

Chongyun started giggling and it got a little loud

At that point he just took off running (while still giggling) with Xingqiu close on his tail

It wasn't long before Xingqiu took victory and Chongyun was on the floor a laughing mess

His favorite people to play with are Xingqiu of course, Xiangling, Xinyan, Travelers, Yun Jin, and Shenhe

He loves playing with his Auntie Shenhe even though he gets wrecked almost everytime, even for a little bit

He also likes playing with Yun Jin, since she's a little new in their circle of friends, so he'd love to get to know her better!

She's been able to wreck him a whole lot too but we'll get into that more on her post

Holy shit these will be fun

You can't tell me he didn't play windtrace all the time with Kaeya and Jean when they were younger

It's been a really long time, but Kaeya's invited him to play once again when it's back in season with Jean

"Just like when we were younger." Kaeya said with a smile, that seemed almost sad but hopeful

Who can say no to that

And besides, he did secretly want to play again, just one more time

Out of the three of them, Diluc had always been the best Rebel, Jean being the best Hunter

Doesn't mean Diluc isn't a good Hunter though

As a Hunter, He can lowkey be kind of scary

One of the more popular locations to play windtrace is his own winery, and that's literally his turf, he knows that place

His skills haven't rusted from when he was a kid, despite it being so long ago

He's got a really good eye for movement

Like a deadly bird

Forgot what they call them

He probably won't try teasing or tickling you unless he knows you well enough and trusts you, Like travelers, Jean esp, Kaeya if he's being an ass(which he usually is), Bennett, and Razor. Venti too, sometimes!

Those probably aren't the only people, but I cant think of others rn

Oh and Amber

I like to think he's gotten closer to Amber too

Mainly because I love both of them and think they would be friends

She might be better at windtrace than him though lmao her ideas and strategies are kinda scary to him

As a rebel, he's really good too

Especially on his winery

He knows all the best spots and definitely hasn't forgotten how to hide good from his younger days

Kaeya used to never be able to catch him when they were little little

He def can now though lmao

Honestly

I think teasing would affect him to some degree

He's awfully ticklish, we all know that

So even if he doesn't make any noises to give away his hiding spot, his face is probably gonna glow pink lmao

When they were younger, regardless of whether the Hunter was Kaeya or Jean, the other was always found before Diluc and helped the Hunter wreck him if Diluc got caught

Not even for just Diluc they did that for everyone

Because I'm soft rn and I love them

So they get together in adulthood, Diluc's the Hunter, Kaeya and Jean are the Rebels.

At first he treats this all very seriously, searching like any civilized gentleman playing hide and seek would. He caught Jean after a minute, and was actively looking for Kaeya

The favor descended, and Diluc was planning to grab it to get a victory on Kaeya and Jean for their first round playing after a while

But Kaeya being the bitch he is grabbed it before Diluc could and took off with its power-up

And that's when Diluc decided

Fuck being civilized

And proceeded to book it after Kaeya with Jean standing there like 🧍‍♀️

And Kaeya giggling like a madman out of slight fear but also joy because Diluc's being just like the old Diluc

Even if he caught him after 30 seconds and wrecked the ever loving shit out of him, Kaeya was glad Diluc was slowly getting back to his old self, at least with the people he trusts

After the game ends, Diluc wins and all that, as they're going back he says "...Do not speak of how...unprofessional I had acted in this game..."

"Right..."

Kaeya and Jean say "right" in unison because I said so

But ofc they have many more games like this again because I want my people to be happy

He probably won't act like a kid again in front of Rosaria or Lisa, he'll try not to with Venti, Bennett, Razor, or Amber, but he doesn't give a shit around Kaeya, Jean, Aether, and Lumine

She's actually pretty decent at windtrace for her age! And despite it being only her second time getting to play in a season

She's gone hunting with her Dad several times, so she's naturally good at that

And I feel like she'd just be a good player of hide and seek you know

Probably a better Hunter than a Rebel though

As a Hunter she's honestly really good

Some people (Lumine, Aether, Amber, Albedo, Kaeya) think hiding in the trees is enough to evade her sight for the game

They were wrong

If there's trees, that's the first place she'll go too look for people

If no one's up there, she'll use it as an advantage to get a clearer view of the area

She's lowkey a good strategist

She's learned to be really quiet when sneaking up on prey from real hunting, so sneaking up on some Rebels out of disguise and scaring them is definitely a Diona thing to do

May or may not be because I played as Diona as a Hunter today and caught everyone pretty damn quick

Don't mess with this child

As a rebel, she's also pretty good

Tries to choose which place would be best to evade the Hunter

Not always successful at that, but she's still good

When one of the travelers or Amber or Barbara or some other elder sibling person to her tries baby talking or teasing her, she holds herself still and quiet really well despite being pretty ticklish herself

Probably less than most of the people she plays with

Her favorite people to play with are the Travelers, Klee, Noelle, Barbara, Bennett, Razor, Jean, Sucrose, and Amber

Honestly I really like the idea of Diona and Klee hanging out

She's real iffy on that one

Kaeya and Diluc don't really mind her though

After playing with them for a little bit with Klee, she dosen't actually mind Kaeya much

As in she can tell he's an okay person

She just dosen't like him drunk

And Diluc's pretty okay too

That was an experience for her

Another time was when she and Klee met Sayu who was visiting with Thoma and Ayaka (and probably Ayato but we know nearly nothing about him) from Inazuma

She didn't know if she'd like Sayu much, due to her being always tired, but playing windtrace with people always helps break the ice right?

They're friends now, even though Diona could absolutely not catch Sayu ever

Sometimes (all the time) when she gets caught as a Rebel, she'd wreck the Hunter like "You've caused me a painstaking loss! This warrants vengeance!"

Especially likes playing with the dragonspine gang though

She finds Albedo really entertaining, because this usually calm guy is now being the littlest shit she has ever come across

He gets wrecked for it

haha anyways genshin must be on some wild fucking shit if they think theyre gonna try and drag out their main story for like 2 years. on god having like half a year between main chapters of its already weak spindly little story is like mindboggling decision i do not trust your storytelling skills at all to make any of the hype worth it but i also think thanks to the general playerbases inability to read they will continually feel disappointment at how poor genshins main story content is and how it is purveyed to the reader especially in comparison to the lore which is completely jarring in quality of delivery.

in the archon quest at the end of liyue chapter you get a lore dump from zhongli where he just stands there and gives you like 3 quest prompts about shit that exists for no reason other than idk “they needed to put the plot threads in there asap and they forgot they had an entire world to do it in” and then that mf disappears. forever. literally exiled from the overworld unless you pay like ninety quid to summon him on his banner. not to mention every single other npc you meet will never appear again outside of their instanced quests. it’s such a weird jarring end point that you’re left stranded in and its not only a frustratingly awkward delivery, it honestly just seems pointless. why couldn’t there have been an extended epilogue that involves talking to the npc character FROM inazuma, talking to beidou who is a pirate with an electro vision about idk ... travel and her ELECTRO vision being granted which is a feat she in known for in the lore of liyue folk. it could even be someone from the qixing like ningguang who surely would know about the status of foreign nations or keqing who has an electro vision and would absolutely have something to say about baal’s stance on things and her condescension towards humans. god it could still even be zhongli just space it out, let him invite us to dinner and chat over liyue cuisine and let inazuma come up naturally thgouh paimons huge appetite to eat new things. not only would the pacing be better, the plot threads be put in a way where you dont immediately forget them because they’re being rapidfire talked at you, but it would be a great way to make the character seem like theyre people with lives and not just trying to move the plot along and be on their way.

conversely, the story of arundolyn and rostam, the legends of mondstadt and the ordo favonius, the lion and the wolf, the building hints towards the cataclysm of khaenri’ah and what kind of nation earned the scorn of the gods -- its all slowly fed to you piece by piece linked through artifacts, world lore, in-game books, weapons and sometimes the world itself. you uncover things as you explore and the more thoroughly you explore - the more you discover! it’s rewarding, it feels natural and its some of the most fun you have piecing together stories and building out this strange world like some kinda anime historian and it encourages theorycrafting rather than a concrete set of events and characters being straightforward. its genuinely interesting that theres a whole society and cast of characters from the days of yore who are intimately connected with our current cast and the world we live in but also very much their own interesting characters who hold their own legacies and wills, carving them into the stars for ill or good.

its almost as if the main quest writers and the lore writers are completely separate, work on different floors and they dont ever meet because why ... why on earth would you deliver critical parts of the main story in such a blatantly poor way and make it have none of the nuance and intrigue as the worldbuilding? in a game that is designed for the express purpose of making people sympathetic and invested with characters to spend silly money on them? you think your paper thin story is going to let you do that? no gacha game is allowed to have storytelling subpar to the most average middle of the pack lightnovel and get away with being a gacha game. your story has to have at least a few moments where i am dazzled, daresay fucking delighted, at least a second where i have to stop and say ‘this is cool as hell’ or ‘FUCK ITS HAPPENING’ or else it is well and truly expendably worthless non-product! you have to be a little more ambitious than making some normie shit and try and make the story have a little heart! i dont doubt that they can do it, im sure there are talented writers there since i like a lot of the characterisations but man, let em free you need them no more than ever

the only thing i can think of that explains how watered down the story feels in comparison to lore, is a fear of making people ‘read too much’ in the main quests which honestly doesnt seem to be much of an issue to them. lanternrite wasnt that long but the sheer amount of npc dialogue feels staggering because its all ultimately ... inconsequential. we have no investment into these npcs and theres like 15 odd quests of it, it goes from cool world flavour text to genuinely feels like its taking up space all because they are trying to endear you to the lives of these generic npcs when you’d rather know like even one thing about chongyuns life and daily routine or xinyans performances. being able to see kaeya for one second even was the most fun and even then i was still disappointed cause its like bro? you didnt even let him do anything and it was JUST him? in the world there are so many characters explicitly referenced but never utilised and it makes their complete absence even more noticeable and frankly fucking baffling? not even fate episodes for all of our 12 SRs? actually nevermind, even the character stories are somehow unforgivably generic!

honestly i feel like the best event so far was the unreconciled stars event but by my standards it definitely felt like ‘solid gacha game event story’ with a touch of something more interesting with the inclusion of scaramouche’s lore insight. i was hoping this his how events would be in genshin, i really thought that this was the ‘standard’ but for some reason, its beginning to seem like that event was a bit of an outlier? i would gladly take less events and have them be more like the unreconciled stars event, with character interactions and slowly improving and hashing out who these characters are over never-ending carousel of random events that are mostly fetch-quests or fluff.

idk man its just a strange mess of me enjoying genshins world and theorycrafting, loving playing the game and exploring but feeling like the ball is not bein dropped but violently slammed into the ground by the sheer lack of character content whilst being praised by everyone under the sun for ‘story’ and ‘characters’. m*hoyo do better bitch! you already made such a good roster of characters now fuckin do something with them! stop releasing new characters without bothering with any of the existing ones! i beg of you!

honestly, around late october of 2020 I heard about this game through ads and youtube. I loved the graphics and the way it resembled botw which is a favorite of mine, so I was instantly interested. originally I thought the game was exclusive for mobile, and since my phone is hella old, I doubted I would be able to play - so I never bothered to check it out until a friend of mine asked me if I was playing. I said no (for the reason I just stated) and she told me GI could be played on desktop so I downloaded the game IMMEDIATELY. best decision of my life.

traveller: if you were given a vision, what element would it be?

electro since it’s my favorite aesthetically wise, and because it’s an underrated element power-wise as well. electro supremacy! I also like anemo.

venti: do you like music? what genre is your favourite?

I’m extremely passionate about music. my favorite genre is heavy metal, but I’m pretty open to new genres and new music overall.

I’m legal of age but I don’t drink alcohol and I couldn’t care less about it, personally. I don’t have a favorite drink but I like water, herbal tea and sweet drinks.

I’m the type of person that’s constantly looking for ways to keep myself busy. I am a procrastinator when it comes to chores and obligations, but I tend to finish them quickly so I can chill for the rest of the day.

I love animals and I feel the most connected to cats and foxes.

I’m not a reckless person lol the most reckless thing I probably did was to jump in a pool fully clothed to make my friend laugh.

I’m a saver. but I sometimes spend with futilities.

not really, I don’t suffer from insomnia. uhhhh. I’m also the type of person that tends to forget bad things, my mind does that to protect me but I remember a creepy dream where I was in a strange house and there was no source of light available, only the moon creeping through the window. I remember entering a room and seeing a man staring at me by the window for the longest time, so that freaked me out and I woke up pretty startled.

Disclaimer! Every character is amazing in their own way! Anyone can be a main dps or any play style is great!! This is just my opinion, which isn’t worth much lmao

Everyone shown will be written about from left to right!!!

Archers:

Fischl: annoying. I can’t stand her voice lines and she’ll stay at level 20 until everyone else is level 90 and I take pity on her and level her up like everyone else. Her charged attack confuses me and she’s just. Annoying. She’s been on my team ONE time! Her first and last time

Venti: This bitch...I’m blessed to have him. His ult attack is epic!! Once I get him artifacts to increase Anemo damage it’s all over for you assholes :) I typically don’t enjoy archers or catalysts because I like being up close and personal with whatever I’m fighting so I can SEE my sword hit it y’know? But Venti makes domains and fighting camps of enemies so easy!! Treasure hoarder camps? Obliterated. Though keep in mind, I really only have him on my team for his ult and charged attacks, everyone else deals the rest of the damage

Amber: She used to have a permanent spot on my team before I found out Venti was actually really good...Didn’t fully understand the game yet :) she’s good! Basic and easy to understand play style! Once I got Bennet though...She is no longer my go-to Pyro :’) sorry girlie...

Diona: I’m sorry but no ❤️ I personally can’t stand playing as the tiny characters. Her voice lines are cute and from what I’ve seen, she’s a great healer!! But I won’t use her, it’s just too much of a hassle since she’s so small. She can’t climb or run as fast as taller characters and it’s just annoying to be so much shorter than whatever I’m fighting :/

Childe: I don’t have him but I got to play as him in his story quest as his play style was??? Confusing??? The whole switching from bow to swords was confusing and hard to keep up with cause I’m just mashing buttons babey!!! If I’m being honest, if I had him I wouldn’t use him much. He’s cool and I love him as a character but he just wouldn’t fit in my team anywhere! That pains me to say...;-;

Ganyu: Regretting skipping her banner :/ I didn’t do her character trial either but I finished her story quest and uh...I missed out! That’s what I get for giving into the ‘cryo Amber’ mindset! Her play style is very fun! I love her ult attack...Damn...I missed out man she would have been awesome on my team for sure.

Claymores:

Beidou: 100/10, she is SO useful!! She’s on my secondary team and even though she’s only a level 40, she’s a C6!! She’s my ONLY C6 character so I’ve been dumping all of my electro materials into her lately, she is SUCH a hard hitter I love her! I love electro and ice or fire reactions!! She’s the queen of them babe. Shes fast and strong...Pirate woman...

Razor: I’m conflicted cause he’s fun to play as but I have a lot of beef with him. The first problem is a problem I cause myself because one hit and he’s dead. If I don’t have a shield up, he’s a goner two seconds into any fight. My other gripe is that his ult doesn’t carry over to other characters. An example of that is Kaeya’s ice ring or Noelle’s shield! Those carry over between character switches but Razor’s does not. Annoyingggggg!!!

Chongyun: Admittedly, I kinda gave up on building him. There’s only room for one cryo character on my team and that’s Kaeya. His fighting style isn’t all that special but I feel like the game is trying to get me to level him up cause the last 4 domains I’ve done, I’ve been paired with level 80 Chongyun players and they were pretty awesome so...When I have the materials to spare, I might have to invest in this guy lmao

Xinyan: I JUST got her like last week or something so she isn’t leveled up a whole lot but oh man...Her ult is sick. I LOVE the rock and roll theme for her, she’s just awesome! I don’t see her becoming part of either of my main teams but I will definitely use her for domains once I can spare materials to level her up ;-;

Noelle: I used her alllllll the time until I got Zhongli. Her shield is fantastic, you really can’t go wrong with a shield! Other than that...I can’t really say anything else about her :’) her play style is similar to the other claymores which doesn’t really allow her to stand out much

Diluc: he’s an honorable mention. I don’t have him...But I want him so bad. My pity is at 50/50 so I’ll either get Hu Tao or him!! (Or Qiqi, Mona, Keqing or Jean but I don’t wanna talk about that). People make him so strong, even when he’s lower leveled he still hits hard! I’d love love love to have him on my team

Catalysts:

Lisa: the og catalyst...I like her as a character but man oh man...She just doesn’t fit on any team! Her play style is fun! Her voice lines are flirty, she’s just a fun character uggghhh I’d love to actually play with her more! Beidou is just the better electro for my team so Lisa will sit on the sidelines for awhile :’)

Ningguang: I poured all of my geo resources I to Zhongli so she literally never got the chance to even be on a team. I leveled her up enough to get that free wish but...Yeah...I have only played as her during a character trial even though I have her! Idk, she just wouldn’t fit on my team. Some people make her super strong which I admire!!

Barbara: fantastic I love everything about her! She and Bennet swap places on my main team every hour or so but when she’s paired with Kaeya, she’s just awesome!! She just works well with others! And she sings :’) other than that her play style isn’t exactly anything special! She’s just a character I can swap out a lot and she just FITS in my main team?? Amazing

Mona: Still in the process of leveling her up, I really enjoy her play style! Not a fan of catalysts but... I did something the other day when I switched artifacts around and now she does pretty good damage?? Idk what I did but she’s more fun to play as now! My only gripe is when she sprints, she turns into a puddle! So when I want to dodge or do short bursts of sprinting she leaps in and out of the floor like STOP IT HAJSLSSK the splashing is SO LOUD for WHAT lmao I love her though! Solid spot on the secondary team

Sucrose: she is so underleveled but I made an all Anemo team just for giggles...And now I want to actually buff her up. It’ll take a lot of time and material farming but she has a lot of potential to work well with Pyro and hydro characters with her swirl effect!! :)

Klee: Again, not a fan of the kiddos. I don’t even remember when I played as her, it might have been her trial or in a story quest somewhere but I just didn’t enjoy her play style. She throws bombs which don’t always go off immediately so I’m sitting there like ???? Blow up??? And then they don’t? Confusing!!!

Swords:

Kaeya: Oh yes my big sexy man hello sir 👀 he is never leaving my team!! Never! I’ve formed an emotional attachment to him and uh well he’s level 74 now and overpowers all of my 5 stars except Zhongli. When he’s paired up with Barbara and they both activate their water/ice swirls?? That’s my favorite thing in the whole world I LOVE freeze reactions! Ugh absolutely flawless! My only gripe about his play style is that sometimes he turns away when firing his ice and I’m like NO THE OTHER WAY it’s called auto aim or something idk, most characters do it at some point...It’s just ten times more annoying when he does it :)

Jean: I got Jean very recently so she isn’t at her best yet but WOW she is an amazing healer!! Like wow, she’s giving Bennet a run for his money. I have no complaints about her! Her play style is kinda basic. I do love how she can just blow enemies away though, that’s fun!! Especially in co op when I can blow my teammates off cliffs :) I don’t really use her though...She isn’t on my main or secondary team...rip

Bennet: Benny’s adventure team!!! He and Barbara swap spots on my main team a lot! He’s a great healer! Not as good as Barb but I’m still working on him!! He’s kinda just there for moral support, he’s too under leveled to really do any damage :’) he’s just...a cute lil guy :’) I like having him on my team :’) his play style is very basic which makes it easy to swap him in and out for other characters

Xingqiu: his ult and charged attacks take FOREVER to load!! I love him as a character but I have no patience for load times. Off to the sidelines he goes! He’s cool and fun but man!!! In the heat of battle I don’t have time to wait!! I need that hydro burst so I can get an elemental reaction!! I don’t have 30 seconds to wait, my liege!!

Aether: there’s a difference between Anemo traveler and Geo traveler!! Geo traveler is better BUT when he produces thise rock balls?? That’s beyond obnoxious especially in domains. STOP MAKING BALLS IN DOMAINS!!! You’re just raising enemies into the air and now your teammates can’t reach!! The geo ult is good though :) Anemo traveler is alright, I cant complain but geo is just superior :)

Albedo: I don’t have him but I tried him out during his character trial...He’s hot but I’m just not a huge fan of his play style. He summons an elevator...Eh. If I had him he would kinda just...sit on the sidelines

Keqing: oh wow she is just SO AWESOME!! If I got her instead of Diluc I honestly wouldn’t be mad. I’d have to frantically rearrange my teams for he to fit somewhere but it would be worth it. Her character trial showed me how fast she is and how fast her ult/charged attacks charge up! Her ult looks AMAZING and if I activated a shield around her and Kaeya’s ice thing I think she’d obliterated domains! I’d love to have her on my team golly jeez

Qiqi: Again, not a fan of the small characters :( people use her in domains all the time and she’s an awesome healer! But if I had her I probably would not use her :/ anti child

Polearms:

Zhongli: I can’t imagine NOT using him on my team. Having a shield is a must because I’m a huge wimp!! And I’ve finally built him enough that he will occasionally do 10k damage...Only when he feels like it I guess. It’s happened like 4 times and I just scream every time it’s awesome!! His burst attack is awesome and I know I’ve said it already but I enjoy being up close when fighting, not standing and shooting from the side. When his shield is up, this man takes zero damage and just deals hits left and right!! He’s a staple for my team for sure

Xiao: I really loved his story quest and his fighting style is fun HOWEVER he is just....Annoying to fight with. He takes damage with his own ult attack???? That’s obnoxious! And then I have to make room on my team for a support when I play with him :/ it isn’t a huge deal, I enjoy playing with Barbara and Bennet but my dream team (Zhongli, Venti, Kaeya and Xiao) just can’t work out cause Xiao’s constantly on life support. Other than that, I like his dash attacks and even though his ult kills him, it deals a lot of damage! Still building him up to add him to the main team :)

Xiangling: I love her, she’s adorable and I love Gouba but I just poured all of my materials into Bennet and everyone else so I never got the chance to properly build her. She’s kinda just stuck at level 31....Waiting for her chance to be on a team. I used to use her often when I was like ar20! I’ve kinda grown away from her, I’m not even sure why I guess :’) her play style is fine! I just like...Other characters more ;-; I feel mean saying that lmao she’s very fun!! Just not what I’m looking for

Honorable polearm mentions:

Hu Tao: She literally comes out tomorrow but I’m not gonna wait to try her out before posting this. Her play style looks very fun! The way she phases through enemies is strange but very cool!!! I’m a bit confused about the way she moves but hey! I’ll get to do her character trial and see for myself! Very excited about her being introduced to the game

Rosaria: we haven’t gotten a preview of her fighting style but I feel bad about leaving her out! She’s close to being released! She deserves recognition!

My thumbs are cramping....remember that every character is awesome and they all have back stories and cool voice lines! This is all my opinion and my team builds! Nothing against these guys and gals! :)
