my essential stationery as a uni student
happy 2025 my loves ! with my winter quarter starting soon, i know a lot of you are going back to school. here is a list of my essential stationery that i love. keep in mind that spending money on expensive stationery or buying new notebooks all the time is not necessary at all to succeed academically. but if you guys do need to buy new pens, pencils, or notebooks, here are my favorites.
Tumblr media
i. bag i use the longchamp le pliage medium tote. the medium imo is the perfect size, but some more affordable options are: - trader joes tote bag (available in store. i used this senior year of hs!) - thrifted leather bag i prefer shoulder bags, but again, you can wear whatever bag/backpack you prefer or already have!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ii. notebooks here are my favorite notebooks i use for school. when i look for a notebook, i try to get one that isn't too thick or big because it is less weight to carry in my bag and more functional. for wide ruled notebooks, i prefer college ruled as i get to write more on one page and it is aesthetically more pleasing for me to look at.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
muji, college ruled (economics, language, science): i use this for note-taking, both in class and out of class. i prefer writing notes on paper to taking them digitally, as it is easier for me to retain the information. maruman, graphing (math): i discovered this brand last year at a local stationery store and it's become my favorite stationery item discover! i prefer spiral notebooks for mathematic courses, as it's easier to write on and use a full page! there's only 80 sheets on this, but it almost lasted me almost my whole ap calculus ab class last year! i only needed a new notebook on the last 2 months of hs. midori, graphing (math): i haven't used this one yet! but i'm planning to buy it for my first college calc course next quarter. i'm going to use this one as a formal math notebook where i keep notes on different formulas & theorems, whereas i use maruman for homework and note-taking during class!
iii. pencils & pens
Tumblr media Tumblr media
mitsubishi alpha gel - my favorite mechanical pencil ever! the gel is so squishy and it helps make note-taking easier/faster. i have a pink & silver ver of this! sakura sumo grip - i like the mitsubishi gel one more, but this one is really good too! it also makes note-taking smoother/faster.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pilot - you can find this pen in any store (target or stationery) and easily online. the ink can get messy, it does take a while to dry (wait before flipping the page!), and it is pretty disliked, but this is my all time favorite ink pen. i love the way it feels when you write with this and how it turns out. muji dupe - i think i ordered this my second year of hs, and as a college first-year, i still have half the pack left. the muji ones might be better quality (i don't know, i've never tried them), but these work fine and i quite like them! they're 0.35mm, so the letters come out very smalll.
i wish you all the best in 2024. may happiness, love, health, and success find & keep you. bisous!

"Weird is Lovely"
*this is my first ever school au fic so if it doesn't look like a school au then I'm sorry i tried anyways I got inspiration from @maineventshinku "adult school au" drawings so hope yall enjoy!*
*the ships involved are BrYuta, HangMox and my little rarepair I created of Claudio Castagnoli and Harley Cameron! Hardio? Harlio? Clarley? SwissKitty? Idk...*
Doughnut Team: @afterdarkprincess @thlayli-ra
“Why he does this every Friday I have no idea” Claudio says as he walks down the hallway to the principal's office. He has to leave class early so he can pick his best friend Mox up from detention. He might not like having to bail Mox out every Friday but they've been friends for nearly twenty years and he'd go to war with that guy if Mox asked. “Hey Claudio, wait up!” someone says from far away. Claudio hears the familiar tapping of boots on linoleum and sees it's Mox's boyfriend, “Hangman” Adam Page.
Claudio waits until Adam is right beside him. “Jesus, you're hard to catch! Gimme a minute” Adam says as he tries to catch his breath. “I assume you're coming with me to pick up Mox again?” Claudio asks, causing Adam to laugh. “Don't I always? Wouldn't be a good boyfriend if I didn't bail that dumbass out every week! Plus getting out early guarantees us the best spots in the library during free period!” Adam says excitedly as they start walking down the halls.
Free period is one of Claudio's favorite classes other than Home Economics cause he gets to catch up with friends, work on some homework and most importantly hang out with his girlfriend, Harley Cameron. Him and Harley have been together for five years and she's made his life exciting every time he's with her. She's the splash of color he needed in his boring life and he's loved her ever since. “Umm hello? Earth to Claudio!” Adam says, snapping Claudio out of his thoughts.
“Oh my apologies! I spaced out! What were you saying?” Claudio asks embarrassingly, causing Adam to laugh. “I was asking if you think Mox would like my outfit today?” Adam asks as he shows off what he's wearing. He's currently wearing his steel tipped cowboy boots, denim bell bottoms with a rose design on the side and a white tank top with flames on the bottom. “I'm sure he'll love it Adam. Is the shirt a homage to when you “accidentally” set a trash can on fire?” Claudio says with a laugh, causing Adam to blush.
“It was an accident! I thought I stubbed the blunt out! I still feel bad about it!” Adam says embarrassingly, causing Claudio to pat him on the back to comfort him. “I'm sure it was Adam anyways we're here” Claudio says as they make it to the principal's office. Claudio knocks on the door and pops out vice principal Christopher Daniels. “Lemme guess, you came to pick up Moxley?” Mr.Daniels asks tiredly, Adam and Claudio nodding in response.
“Of course you are… Moxley! Castagnoli and Page are here! For the billionth time this year” Mr. Daniels says under his breath as Mox walks out the door. “See you next Friday Mr. Daniels!” Mox says with a smirk, causing Mr.Daniels to let out a groan and shut the door. “Thanks for bailing me out like always man” Mox says as he fist bumps Claudio. “My pleasure Mox but you're forgetting someone else came with me to help” Claudio says sweetly as he mentions to Adam.
“Cowgirl!” Mox says happily as he picks up Adam and swings him around. “Babe put me down! You're gonna ruin my outfit!” Adam says with a laugh as Mox kisses him then puts him down. “Sorry princess but I haven't seen you since lunch and now that I'm looking at you… you look pretty darn cute right now” Mox says affectionately, causing Adam to blush. “Stop looking at me like ya wanna eat me!” Adam says as Mox smirks at him. “With the way you're dressed it makes me wanna get a second detention” Mox says seductively but before he does anything he gets stopped by Claudio.
“As much as I would love to third wheel this sexual act I believe we should start walking to our lockers so we can meet up with the others” Claudio offers so he doesn't get severely traumatized. “Oh fuck you're right! We gotta get our seats in the library before those Elite snobs do!” Mox says as he fixes his leather jacket and they all start walking down the hallway. “Care to explain why you got detention this week?” Claudio asks, curious on what bizarre thing Mox did to get sent there this week.
“I may or may not have slashed Mr.Callis’ tires on his new car” Mox says with an innocent look as he holds Adam's hand. “That new blue Lamborghini he just bought?!? You fucking didn't!” Adam says excitedly, Mox nodding in response. “You're gonna ruin that man's life until we graduate aren't you?” Claudio asks, receiving a devilish smile from Mox in return. “He deserves it for trying to fail me in woodshop because making wooden nunchucks isn't safe on school premises or some shit” Mox explains, causing both guys to laugh.
They hear the bell ring signaling that class is over and walk a bit faster as students are filing out. “Hey guys! Over here!” Wheeler yells from the lockers as he waves his hand to get the three's attention. They make it to the lockers where Wheeler and Bryan are standing. When they make it to the lockers, Wheeler hugs all three guys with excitement like he does everyday. They would protect Wheeler at all costs if needed.
“You guys excited for free period? I got a new pack of baseball cards I've been waiting to open to show you guys!” Wheeler says excitedly as he shakes the pack in his hand. “You know I'm excited for anything that doesn't involve homework! Also put those away before someone tries to steal them!” Mox warns, causing Wheeler to put the pack of cards back into his bag. “Ok! Geez! You're such a big brother but anyways you guys like my outfit?” Wheeler asks as he twirls in place.
He's currently wearing a pink sweater with cherries on it, a pink and white checkered skirt, white see-through leggings with white bows and pink converse. “You look absolutely adorable like always Wheeler” Claudio says, causing Wheeler to blush. “Yeah, did your sugar daddy buy it for ya?” Mox asks, making Wheeler laugh. “Yeah he did but don't tell Bryan though because he'll get mad” Wheeler says jokingly, receiving a gentle slap on the ass by Bryan in return.
“I love how I buy you cute things yet you still act like a little shit” Bryan says as Wheeler giggles and gives him a kiss on the cheek. “Think you can find me a sugar daddy Wheeler? I think I milked mine dry a while ago” Adam says teasingly, causing Mox to growl at him. “Keep talking like that and I'll make your ass sore for the rest of the year” Mox says seductively, making Adam tremble a bit. “Maybe I should join the cycling team considering I've been third wheeling almost the whole day” Claudio says jokingly, causing everyone to laugh.
“Speaking of that… where's Harley?” Wheeler asks curiously. “Yeah, she's usually with us and ranting about what weird thing her hamster did the night before” Mox says as he looks around the hallway. “She was in the art room with me before I left to pick you up Mox. I wonder what's taking her so long?” Claudio asks worryingly, but he didn't have to worry long before worry turned to annoyance when he heard two familiar voices of people he didn't like.
“Helloooo Claudio!” Mariah says in a sing-song tone that sounds like nails to a chalkboard. “What are you guys doing? Having a jerking session with your pathetic packages?” Mina asks teasingly with a laugh. “Shouldn't you two be on a post scaring away the crows?” Adam asks, which causes Mariah and Mina to glare at him. “Shouldn't you be shoveling pig shit somewhere you filthy hick?” Mariah asks with a sneer. “I don't think he understood you Mariah! You probably need to say it slower so his tiny brain can understand!” Mina says, causing both women to laugh.
Adam felt himself start to cry as Mox pulled him to his chest and growled at the girls. “You two came over here to bother us for a reason so might as well spit it out now before you waste any more of mother earth's precious oxygen” Bryan says with his arms crossed. “Ugh fine you weird little goat man! Claudio, your freaky little girlfriend was in the art room right?” Mariah asks with a devilish smile. “You better go check on her! I heard she had an accident!” Mina says with faux worry.
“Accident? What kind of accident?” Claudio asks, worry setting back in. “That's for you to find out! Anyways ta-ta weirdos!” Mariah says as she pulls out her lighter. “Later losers!” Mina says harshly as both girls walk away, setting their sights on an unsuspecting Kris Statlander to set aflame nearby. “God, they're the worst!” Adam says through sniffles as Mox kisses his forehead.
“Hey Claudio, I got some balloons filled with cow's blood that I got from work in the trunk of my car. Just give me the word and we'll get on the school roof after-school and ruin their whole day” Mox says seriously as Wheeler and Bryan nod in agreement. “No, not yet Mox first I gotta go find Harley and see what happened” Claudio says as he grabs his backpack. “She's probably in the library! We can go with you if you want!” Wheeler offers, but Claudio refuses.
“She likes to be by herself when things happen to her so I'll go talk to her but you guys can stay close by in the projector room next door” Claudio says, with the others nodding in agreement. “Sounds like a plan dude! Now go get your girl or I'm kicking your ass all the way there myself!” Mox jokingly threatens, causing Claudio to let off a little salute as he runs down the hallway. He makes it down the stairway but stops when he sees hall monitor Marina Shafir on patrol. He sees her with a kendo stick in hand and shudders at the thought of being beaten with it.
He's heard the screams of his fellow classmates being beaten senseless by her when they got caught running. He sneakily gets past Marina and when the close is clear he runs to the library. He goes to the little coffee corner in the library and makes him and Harley's usuals. He searches around and hears his girlfriend crying behind a bookshelf which breaks his heart. “Marco” Claudio says quietly on the other side of the bookshelf. “P-Polo…” Harley says quietly as Claudio comes around and sits next to her.
“I got you your usual Kitty” Claudio says sweetly as he hands Harley her cup. “Regular coffee with extra sugar and caramel creamer?” Harley asks through sniffles. “Just the way you like it meine liebe” Claudio says with a small smile. Harley lays her head on Claudio's shoulder as he wraps his arm around her to pull her closer. They drink their drinks in silence for a few minutes until Claudio speaks up. “Are you ready to talk about it?” Claudio asks, causing Harley to sigh.
“I was working on our art project and you know everything was going great! Then you left and Mr.Nana went to get something from the back room and that's when bad things happened! Mariah cornered me in the classroom while Mina got the class fan and turned it on. Then they dumped wet paint on the blade and it splattered all over me and ruined my outfit!” Harley explains rapidly while moving her hands around.
Claudio looks over his girlfriend's outfit so he can see the damage. She was wearing a green turtleneck shirt with a denim overall romper with embroidered mushrooms on the sides and middle with pink and blue knee-high socks and pink converse. She looked absolutely beautiful in it when he saw her this morning but now he sees her clothes are covered with splotches of dried paint. “Oh kitty, I'm so sorry that I wasn't there to protect you” Claudio apologizes quietly as he wipes away Harley's tears.
“That's not even the worst part they did” Harley says quietly as she shoves her face into Claudio's chest. “What else did they do?” Claudio asks as he gently scratches Harley's scalp. “They said a weirdo like me doesn't deserve to be with a perfect person like you” Harley says truthfully, which makes Claudio a bit angry. “abscheuliche Dämonen” he says under his breath but the time for revenge on them is later, right now he needs to comfort his girlfriend.
“Harley, let me tell you now that what those two did to you was vile and they'll get their comeuppance. Secondly, do you remember what happened on our first date?” Claudio asks, causing Harley to blush. “Yeah, I invited you to my house! I tried to make crepes to impress you but it just ended up with you helping me air the smoke out the house and us ordering pizza” Harley says with a laugh. “That was also when I realized that dessert pizza is very delicious! But do you remember what you said to me after that?” Claudio asks with a smile.
“I apologized and asked you why you even accepted to go on a date with a weirdo like me” Harley says as she looks into Claudio's eyes. “What did I say after you said that?” Claudio asks, causing Harley to blush even more. “That you didn't mind being with me and that weird was lovely” Harley says happily. “That's right, you being weird has changed my life for the better. You were the splash of color I needed in my boring life and I never wanna change that. Love, you being weird is one of the reasons why I fell in love with you among other things” Claudio says truthfully.
Without hesitation, Harley wrapped her arms around him and squeezed. “You are the best boyfriend ever!!!” Harley says through happy tears. “I wouldn't say the best considering I'm weird myself” Claudio says which causes Harley to spring up and look at him. “You? Weird? Impossible!” Harley says enthusiastically, causing Claudio to blush. “Harley, I'm a nerd who loves to play video games, make my own clothes from scratch, bake pastries and knit outfits for my cat… I'm not exactly perfect like everyone thinks I am” Claudio explains sweetly.
“Well, maybe that's why I fell in love with you! Your weirdness is lovely to me too” Harley says affectionately. Claudio leans in and kisses Harley deeply. “I love you so much Harley” Claudio says affectionately. “I love you too Claudio” Harley says back. “The others are waiting in the projector room and Mox said he has balloons full of cow's blood in the trunk of his car… how about we go get the others and throw them at Mariah and Mina on the roof of the school?” Claudio offers with a smirk, making Harley instantly stand up.
“Yes! Let's do it but what about my outfit?” Harley asks as Claudio gets up as well. Claudio then proceeds to take off his turtleneck jacket and puts it on Harley, covering up her paint covered outfit. “Now everyone will know that your the girlfriend of someone people shouldn't fuck with” Claudio says proudly.
“Always a gentleman aren't you? Now come on my Swiss sweetheart! Revenge awaits!” Harley says with a huge grin as she grabs Claudio's hand and runs to the projector room. Claudio just laughs as he gets whisked away by the most weirdest and amazing girl he's ever loved.

tl;dr i lost my phone and need a new one, cheap commissions open for that
so, i shouldve made this post like a month ago but i didnt realize then how important this was gonna end up being and how much impact it would have on things.
but yes, i lost my phone one day a bit ago, and have had nothing to replace it with - it both impacts the fact i have no alarm to wake up at the hours i should, and it also impacts my ability to communicate with my class to know where there's class and when there isn't, along with any homework that may be sent through the class group chat.
my main teacher is very frail healthwise so she ends up in the hospital quite often, so theres been already two times where she had probably told the class in the group chat that she wouldnt be able to go but since i no longer have access to it i went anyway, wasting two whole hour-long travel bus tickets of money in one day becuase i go, realize there isnt any class, and have to return immediately which is both a waste of time AND money (money being something that is already pretty tight in my family rn, we arent going through the best economic situation)
so yeah, i didnt think not having a phone would impact my study life AND travel to school money as much as it ended up doing, so i am now making this post to remind people i am selling cheap (10 dollars) sketch commissions; hopefully this will help at least get SOME money to buy a new phone

getting war flashbacks to the bobs burgers fanfic where louise is doing math homework in the restaurant when nobody else is around and then bob has a heart attack </3 that shit was TRAUMATIZING
love linda shouting four whenever there's a math problem or anything related to numbers. best recurring joke. FOUR!!!!
you can do it gene :D also im so bad at math I 100% would not be able to help either. dumbass rep family
bob trying to help gene with his homework is cute. even if he is Not very good at it. he wants to be an involved dad :(
gene im not gonna lie that math question has gotta be fucking with you. rhat is not a real question. i could NEVER do that not if i was given 100 hours that shit is fake
see this is where when I was in math class i would just write a random number and move on bcuz im never gonna figure it out anyway im not gonna waste time. so that's my advice gene. just Give Up
he says "maybe your mom or tina could get you started" because they're older but I genuinely think louise has a better chance of helping bcuz she is so smart. if she'd WANT to help is another question entirely
because I'm stuck in a safe 😐
AND THEN HE BLINDFOLDED ME ON THE WAY HERE??? HE BLINDFOLDED YOU??????
teddy I think his guy is gonna murder you im gonna be so real right now
unfortunately im kinda following teddy's logic now like. it isnt like fischoeder isn't doing this type of shit everyday just for fun. rich guys are just like that BUT getting their money is nice
"gene was doing homework?? that's new"
WE'RE NOT ALL ECONOMICALLY COMFORTABLE LIKE YOU ARE
"Why did you tell me the whole long story about the sandwich in the drawer if you're running out of battery LOCKED IN A SAFE??" "Context!!!!"
also bob and teddy have such great comedic chemistry lmao they bounce off each other so naturally
louise isn't lying she Does have a certain set of skills 😭 if anyone could find him it WOULD be her the lockpicking genius nine year old supervillain
miss you. see you soon. gotta go!!
has he gotten a new cellphone since that MIDDLE OF THE DAY AND YOUR PHONE IS AT 23% argument or is it that same shitty 2008 blackberry phone that dies almost immediately lmfao
bob is a real one for doing this bullshit for teddy he did NOT have to. they're ride or die fr
I'm not entirely unconvinced that gerald isnt a serial killer but thats okay <3 men can have hobbies
also I'm choosing to believe this gerald is the same one from the taxes/weed cookie episode even though it ABSOLUTELY is not bcuz i think that would be funny. by day he's a regular tax agent by night he is a creepy rich kidnapper who pulls mind games on all his handymen
OH I FORGOT THE SUBPLOT FOR THIS EPISODE IS ABOUT SPORTS PEOPLE why did they do the whole thing with gene's homework then.... are they connected. what is the gameplan
WE PICK A NEW LOVER FOR MOM
i love how bob is apparently the only thing keeping his family from going completely off the fucking rails like. he's the only thing standing between his family and their restaurant burning down with everyone inside fr
your dad never loved that dream :/ because he's a hater :/ AND SO JEALOUS :/
you're not gonna break the world record. another hater. STOP THAT
I might be having a panic attack 💔 I CANT TELL BECAUSE IVE NEVER HAD ONE BEFORE OR IM ALWAYS HAVING ONE soo real teddy
WE LOST HIM 😭😭💔
aww I love them all wearing their lil aprons <3 (crappy photo of my tablet bcuz the app im using to watch this episode doesn't allow screenshots)
Tumblr media
SAY SOMETHING SMART LIKE UHH HOW WOULD YOU FLIP A GIANT BURGER. OH GOD THEY DIDNT MAKE THE GIANT BURGER DID THEY. WHO WOULD EVEN AGREE TO EAT THAT. AN OVER FOURTY CO-ED BASKETBALL TEAM. REALLY 😯
sorry this episode has so many good ooc quotes FJDMDJSKSKKM
gene STOP calling him father
bob is being like a whole ass detective meanwhile linda and the kids are currently making The Worst Decisions Ever
h jon benjiman is doing such a good job voicing bob in this episode idk it has so much personality and sounds natural. or it's always like this and im just now appreciating it but either way A+ work
cute bob and teddy moment ❤️❤️
(ignore the awful camera quality. nothing I can do there) also love the fact that teddy can easily lift up and manhandle bob. Good to know
there's so much going on w/ this gerald guy I dont even know WHERE to begin. what a guy. wow
this is so cute and sweet im so happy!!! YOU DOUBLE FAKE WALLED HIM :D YOU SMART SMARTIE. YOURE A GENIUS BOB
"I knew I asked the right person to come help me. Yeah. Mort wouldn't answer."
"What? You called Mort first?"
"No..."
HE ASKED MORT???? LMFAO big win for tedmort shippers. I fucking guess
MORT NEVER DOUBLE FAKE WALLED ANYONE why is bob like genuinely jealous of mort and teddy right now 😭 chill out man you've got a wife at home
"let's just say it's twelve" FINALLY bob follows my very smart advice when it comes to math homework smh
ALSO THIS IS TECHNICALLY THE FIRST TIME WE'VE SEEN THEM EATING BOBS BURGERS FOR DINNER OR IN GENERAL!!! I mean it's a giant hamburger loaf but it technically was served at bob's burgers so it counts
GIANT FRENCH FRIES
aww this episode was so fun and cute!! I love the more adventure-y type episodes where they explore a new location so this episode was great and very stressful lmao. also very funny. I love bob and teddy's dynamic/back and forth throughout the episode and the weird mort mention at the end felt like they were soft launching his and teddy's relationship even though I KNOW they aren't actually. mort could replace kathleen if we believe. very solid 8/10 episode :)

Dangerous Romance Episode 1
The newest GMMTV Thai BL has dropped and starring Perth X Chimon, this enemies to lovers trope is set in high school. And so far, I’m liking it.
The first episode highlights the societal, economic and class differences between our 2 main characters (and their group of friends).
Tumblr media
We open with Sailom, played by the ever talented Chimon working hard in his part time job, while still maintaining his scholarship attending what appears to be quite a prestigious school (with a lot of the children being sent in expensive looking cars!) - and despite the financial hardship, you can see the cheeky side of Sailom (the way he answered the customer from the car wash shop 😂😂😂). I also love the small details (like how worn out his school shirt is compared to his schoolmates), again highlighting his financial situation. He has 2 loyal friends - both also on scholarships - Auto (Euro Thanaset) who is obsessed with an idol girl group, his mother working in the school canteen means he is always ready to feed Sailom when the latter is short of money. Then we have Guy (Marc Pahun!! So glad you are back on screen!), likely on a football scholarship? - alway ready to back up his friends.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Contrast with Kanghan, rich and unfortunately a bully. Clearly used to getting his own way, and being the top dog in school (anyone reminded of the F4 series?). He has the teachers wrapped around his fingers and nobody in school dares to go against him. But you can also see he has a soft spot for his grandma and Pimfah (beautiful View!!!! So glad to see her again!). And while his cronies (Max played by JJ, Nawa played by Pawin) shipped them together - Kanghan and Pimfah appears more to be close childhood friends who understand each other (I may of course be proven wrong as the series progress!)
Conflict arises when Auto got tangled up with Kanghan gang by agreeing to help them do a group project for money, but the plan went pear-shaped with Auto ultimately being beaten up. And that’s when the tug and war start between Sailom and Kanghan.
While Sailom tried to do the right thing by reporting the bullying, their homeschool teacher is not buying it (also Kanghan definitely has the teachers wrapped around his fingers) - “it’s just boys playing around. Now apologise and make up with Kanghan.”
It’s start a petty war from Kanghan’s side - throwing water/a shoe to Sailom, cutting up his bag/homeworks and harassing him at his side job
But, Sailom gives back just as good - he has some of the best line in this episode 😂😂😂
Tumblr media
“Do you want to be a hero?” Kanghan
“Why, do you want to be my heroine?” Sailom
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“There’s 2 type of people, the car owner and the car washers.” Kanghan (while slyly putting a credit card in Sailom’s pocket to get him in trouble) before Sailom slyly putting it back in the former pocket “There’s 2 type of people, a smart one and the person thinking he is smart.” Sailom
The episode ended with Auto being used to lure Sailom for essentially a beat up session in front of everyone (While Guy being locked up to stop him from interfering).
And again, despite Kanghan trying to humiliate Sailom by declaring he will forgive everything if Sailom kisses Auto - Sailom flipped the narrative and kissed Kanghan in front of the crowd (🤌👏👏👏) - now that’s a genius move by Sailom (or it could idiotic but we’ll see in next week episode 🫣)
Tumblr media
The first round of Sailom vs Kanghan goes to Sailom. He is smart, sassy and not phased by Kanghan and his groupies. Yes, it’s frustrating and troublesome, but Sailom knows the value of patience. He is also aware of his lower socioeconomic status - and how to circumvent around it. Whether or not he will remain patience as Kanghan intensify his attacks (or if the trailer is to believed when loan sharks comes knocking and his brother get into trouble) will be interesting to see.
Kanghan despite being a bully clearly has a soft spot for his family and close friends. And there seems to be a barrier with his father - on the surface his father seems encouraging but also not?- “I want you to concentrate in school, have fun and hang out with your friends. Don’t need to do run for school president, it’s not fun etc etc.”
You can see his face fell when he heard his dad say the above (also, this is the first time I heard an Asian parent not wanting their children to strive for the best 😂😅) - so, I’m not that surprised why Kanghan just go on with his days cruising, as there is no expectations from his dad..and he seems at loss what to do with his future.
Will be interesting to see how their relationship unfolds as the series progresses!!!

Meg Fanfic
Chapter: 6 Cold rainy school days and friendship?
Things were calm as the kids returned to school the days were still rainy and cold in the autumn weather Meg helped Roberta with her campaign that was going well she hadn't seen Connie nor one of her 'friends' lately she guessed since Donna became vice principal of the school she'd a stern eye on the students on their good behavior and not causing trouble at school.
Meg now knew Connie was on thin ice with her parents not wanting to risk her return to school so thankfully it was with no suffering from bullying in the halls or class.
"Now, she is going to put on a good girl act to get everyone to forget," Robert said.
"Doubt that it won't last long with Connie's bad habits I guess we'll just have to wait and see," Meg replied taking notes they were having a free period and with being senior year the students having the best top grades in class got the opportunity to only have a few classes for senior year Megan Alina Rose Griffin and Roberta Coretta Tubbs being one of them with the two only three classes this year. “Hopefully, she doesn’t do anything that could ruin our chances.” Roberta pondered. She has a feeling that Connie might try something. Meg felt the same way it would be better to keep an eye out on Connie in case she does.
Sometime later, Roberta is talking to Meg about what is the best slogan for the campaign. "Hmmm how about Bring out a better mind, bring out a better school?" She suggested, "What do you think Roberta?" She suggested writing down any ideas on a little notepad and pencil "I think that sounds cool, Meg." Roberta responded.
The two continued until it was time for their third periods Meg heading to Home Economics and Roberta off to Environmental Science then met up in 4th period Algebra with Roberta helping Meg out with the subject better as she struggled with math at times bringing them closer to their new friendship until their final bell of the class ended for the day at noon and the seniors were off to head home early. As they were heading out towards the entrance Roberta was curious why Meg wears her glasses "Hey Meg out of curiosity why do you wear your glasses if you could see just fine without them?" Since she saw Meg this weekend she mostly saw her without her glasses most of the time revealing big blue eyes that were so blue that were similar to lavender that if Roberta admits we're really pretty, but why hide them behind glasses?
Meg was surprised by that question as she fiddled with her glasses from habit.
“Uhhh Well, it’s a long story…” Meg murmured.
"you see my glasses have always been a target for me for half of my life but I realize they can become a shield when I need it especially now that I had laser eye surgery and can see clear now they keep me from drawing attention," this part she explained from the incident at the Honeycomb Cafe "so I wear them to keep quiet and not cause any trouble until a day comes where I won't need him anymore better to draw attention away from you then attract it I guess,"
"Woah that's a pretty resourceful girl using something that made you different as your shield," Roberta complimented it was clever.
Making their way out their faces were hit with the cold Autumn wind and rain again it seems like every day it's gone a bit colder and wetter this October. The girls rushed to Donna's car waiting for them given the time to take the girls home before returning to the school as the clouds darkened and thunder could be heard in the distance "Sweet molasses, it seems this weather going to continue to be a cold one come winter," Donna muttered making sure the heat is on and the car to warm the girls and herself.
Meg quickly rubs her arms to warm up as much as possible while Roberta warps her jacket around herself more.
When they got back to the house girls quickly waved goodbye to Donna before making their way inside and settling down in the living room to work on what little homework and projects they had.
After they were done they relaxed in the house doing their favorite activities painting toenails and reading a new book the sound of the rain heading outside against the windows as a sudden clap of thunder startled the girls a bit "Woah! That was loud must be getting wild out there," Meg shuddered as lightning flashed outside and another clap came in this time not startling them too hard "I know right I just hope Mom and the others get home soon like another storm coming in," replied Roberta hugging a pillow for comfort she wanted to grab a blanket but didn't want to ruin her toenails and she just painted with a new smoky violet color.
Meg starts to get herself comfortable, knowing that it will take a while for the nail polish to dry up.
She's gotta admit Roberta is really good her nails even had a bit of sparkle in them.
After a few hours, Donna and the rest of the family had made it home safely from the rain as another clap of thunder clashed outside "Whew it's raining cats and dogs out there!" Cleveland remarked shaking his umbrella free from the rain as did the others "Yeah Daddy I checked the weather report it seems we're not going to stop having rain until next week I hope stops soon in time for Halloween and the party?" He was looking forward to a cool costume he's been working on since September!
"I hear you Junior I don't want it to rain for too long either I got a really big plan for getting extra candy this year!" Rallo added rubbing his hands excitedly he had been planning to come up with a scheme with his costume to get extra goodies this year, especially at the hose areas where they give out big candy bars and other fancy treats made his sweet tooth excited!
“Ohh, I will definitely get more this year!” Junior replied with determination.
Halloween was drawing nearer every day being only a week and a half away things continued to be peaceful at the Brown house and school getting work done with good grades and the campaign going extremely well for Roberta getting everybody's votes for her with Meg's support and help.
"Excellent work Miss Griffin your hard work paid off keep up the good work," Mrs.Fitzgerald her class algebra teacher exclaimed proudly handing Meg's paper from yesterday's test on Thursday as Meg looked at her grade a happy smile on her lips rose seeing 100% on a good job in red in! Roberta's tutoring really helped her out who was receiving her grade at the moment "Miss Tubbs excellent job as always," showing she scored a 100% Meg whispered a thank you for the help to Roberta who returned it with a wink as Mrs.Fitzgerald continued handing out the grades "Jessie keep working on those numbers," replying encouraging to do better next realizing he got 70% the teen groaned realizing he should've been listening more "ah man this sucks," along with Doug who had a lower "ah crap my Ma's gonna be mad at me for," he had 50%
Clemont who was sitting next to him elbowed him pointing near the back "Hey at least you're not like Connie and Tina over there talk about ouch on their grades!" He whispered with a wince carefully looking back without the teacher noticing Doug couldn't help but when Connie and Tina's grades showed both the girls got a near 0% with Tina barely getting 20% on her paper.
"oh man that sucks dude, that's the third time she got a zero this month! Connie's parents I sure not going to let her get to have her Halloween party if she keeps this up," Doug winced again noticing how distressed Connie looked over her paper.
"Yeah man," Clemont whispered back "just look at Roberta hots over there and Griffin both got a perfect score!" Noticing the girls' perfect grades.
"Crazy how they managed to get the best scores," Doug replied.
"Brrrrrrrrriiiiiinnnggggg!!!!"
Went the Bell signaling class was over Meg who overheard them simply rolled her eyes and mumbled under her breath "At least we actually studied not focusing on popularity and tried to be better," in a slightly sarcastic tone causing her and Roberta to giggle a bit.
While in the hall getting their stuff from there Meg sees her friends Ruth, Esther, and Patty it's been awhile since she saw them in some time since they hadn't been hanging out much since mid-September due to the 4 of them doing their own thing in school with senior year and not having much to talk as they all seem to be slowly drifting apart with Patty and Esther focusing on college plans and stuff for graduation despite it being months away they simply wanted to be prepared for it wanting to get into the best schools on their applications and Ruth has been talking about studying abroad again this time to possibly study in Japan and it's rumored she might be leaving after Christmas much to Meg's sadness as she would miss Ruth but it is what it is she guessed when it comes to senior year.
But looking at it now she realized it wasn't so bad as good things happened to her from her friendship/found family with Auntie Donna and her blooming one with Roberta her life has gotten better with love support and compassion raising her self-esteem that made her feel good. Meg is not perfect and has her flaws but can learn from her mistakes and become a better person.
As they were heading near the school ready to head home Meg's eyes widened when she spotted coming in. Chris was back so that meant Peter and Lois, little Stewie and Brian had returned and they were out of trouble (for now) walking closer she noticed her brother had a sullen look on his face curious "Hey Chris welcome back," she greeted him. Her brother is still looking down sad "Hey bro why so blue did anything happen?" Asking gently even if they had their sibling quarrels and fights she still cared for her sibling even after the huge argument/fight she had standing up to her family for their bullying and never apologizing for it. Well, it turned out Chris had thought about what Meg said that night and later while everyone slept Chris came to secretly apologize to her for being a bad brother coming with a peace offering of cookies and milk as the two talked about their behavior to each other due to parents negligence and bad especially their 'Father' mostly as Chris was picking up bad habits from Peter that were not good that resulted in him getting into trouble the 15-year-old knowing right and wrong. Looking up at his sister Chris replied "Hey Meg this weekend was awful we were there barely half a day and Dad ruined it for all of us," he said very upset.
"Oh I'm sorry about that bro," she said trying to comfort Chris as he continued what else happened "Not also that but it led to Mom and Dad's biggest fight ever! It was so loud and intense at the jail that everyone was staring making it even more embarrassing plus Mom told Dad she didn't want to see them for the rest of the trip and we had to go apologize to the owner and pay for damages while staying at a crappy motel for the rest of the trip and we hardly got to do anything fun or go out,"
"Ohh. That is bad." Though Meg sounded concerned, she was not too surprised that it happened.
"yeah Mom is making Dad sleep at a motel for a while until she's not made at him anymore," Chris signed
(dang she must be really mad at him) Meg thought (well at least Peter won't be around the house for now) at least the house would be peaceful with Pete's shenanigans.
"I think it might take a while considering what he did," Meg responded.
"oh that reminds me sis I got you something..." Reaching into his backpack he searched around until he pulled out a little keychain with a cute little green alligator "I saw it at one of the truck stops on the way home and thought you might like it since you didn't go,"
Showing her the cutest little alligator she had ever "Awe Chris I love it thank you," she thanked taking the little gift and looking at the little gator "It's adorable I'll close with me..Oh that also reminds me was given the homework you accidentally missed this week," mentioning said folder she also reached into her backpack to pull it out revealing 5 papers of homework Chris couldn't help but let a moan in annoyance he hated doing schoolwork especially when he had tough times understanding it.
Meg put her hand on his shoulder "Hey don't worry Chris I'll help you catch up," giving him a reassuring smile. Chris's eyes lighten up in surprise at his sister's offer "WOW really..? Jeez, thanks, Meg!" Chris said excitedly surprising his sister with a small hug making her laugh a bit "Haha you're welcome Chris haha anyway me and Roberta are going to head out now, I'll see you later okay," returning the hug the two siblings parted ways Chris heading to his next class as Meg and Roberta headed out of school.
It was then she realized she'd have to go back to that house again. She knows she is going to have to go back sooner or later yet she feels she has a home at the Browns, but on the other hand Auntie Donna reassured her, she does know that she'll always have a place to stay so if things ever did go wrong or get stressful she has a little place to escape the chaos and trouble if needed.
"Meg you look deep in thought, something on your mind?" Roberta commented interrupting her thoughts. They decided to walk home today as the weather eased up a bit with a little break with the rain though still a bit chilly they decided to stop for a hot drink at the coffee shops for hot apple cider and a little snack of pumpkin muffins.
"oh sorry Roberta I'm just well I'm just a little nervous about going home later," she admitted And she couldn't be more right for even passing by the house on their way she caught a glimpse of Lois sitting in the living having a glass of wine and a frustrated look on her face. Probably wondering why she's still married to that man and why she stays with him. That is a question Meg would ask yourself sometimes why her mother does so anyway whenever they had a fight and were taking a break she always seemed a bit more relieved and happy at times yet they always came back together when they were (love sparks again or the other days sorry she doesn't know why?)
"You know you could stay a little longer if you want I'm sure Mom and Cleveland wouldn't mind," Roberta mentioned noticing Meg's look towards her mother as the two headed inside.
"yeah Roberta maybe you're right just until the tension is gone for now," she packs a lot more clothes than she should while staying with Donna and still had some of her new ones when they went shopping so she should be good for now and probably should just go to the house just bring her most important items there as she does feel that they should be safer at The Brown's than at home. Plus she did promise Chris that she'll help him catch up on his homework.
And so Meg did just that after talking to Auntie Donna and Cleveland about it they said it was fine as long as she needed a place security until after Chris got home Meg took the chance while their mom was away to go pick up Stewie from preschool she made a quick trip to the house together her most important things with her hidden money and special things kept safely hidden in her 'new room'. When Chris got home she kept her promise to help him catch up on homework his missed over the week before leaving the house when her mother's car pulled up.
It was if she was invisible in the Griffin house would she like to keep it that way for now?
In the meantime, Cleveland was in a bit of a stump about how to confront Peter on his goddaughter's treatment cuz it was going to be a big risk in their friendship.
Over the last few days since the Griffin's return home Cleveland has been going back and forth on how to approach it but every time he tried to speak it out he could never find the words or put on the topic of the issue.
He tried to but it was hard with him and the guys being at the bar and he just remained quiet and much to his surprise avoided his old friend most of the time unless asked about something that he would respond normally without showing something was troubling him as Cleveland tried to figure out many alternate ways he even thought about writing it out as he tried to find the words writing them on a small notepad. He was alone at The Clam right now with his friends off on their own which he found good at the moment as he was trying to write out the sentences but then scribbling out what he thought of but didn't sound good. It was so difficult it was beginning to give him a headache. Jerome owner of the Clam/good friend seemed to notice his friend's frustration "Hey Cleveland what's going on man you look stressed everything alright," asking in a cool manner as he prepared a drink for a customer.
Cleveland looked up a bit alert when he heard Jerome call out "Oh.. what..ohh hey Jerome, yeah I guess you can say that, I've been having a rough time lately with something," rubbing his forehead a bit trying to ease his aching mind "I got some head relief if you need it and by the looks of it it looks like you do," Jerome offered reaching into his pocket he took out a small bottle of pain medicine for headaches giving two to Cleveland and a glass of water that Cleveland appreciated giving a quick "thanks," before taking the medicine and gulping the down the water in gulps as Jerome noticed the writing on Cleveland's little notepad writing 'hey Peter there's something I've been needing to talk to you about and it's about your daughter..' with the certain sentence is scribbled out "sorry if I'm prying Cleveland is this something to do with Peter's oldest child Meg?"
Admittedly Cleveland nodded his answer "Yeah it is Jerome, I'm afraid it is and I don't know what to do about it, to be honest," a bit of sadness showed on his face as he let the medicine kick in to help ease his mind. sensing he needed someone to talk to Jerome even smiled "Hey man no worries I'm here to listen if you need an ear to talk, I think this conversation could go for some wings and fries," after a couple of minutes Jerome with a small plate of honey hot wings and fries they men began to talk "so what's up man?" Taking a deep breath with his head now calm Cleveland explained his situation with his goddaughter.
Chapter: 7 Cleveland's resolution and hidden secrets?
Cleveland truly questions his friendship with and is he ready to break it for his goddaughter? Meg tries to keep a low profile at the Griffins while helping Chris with a big school project that results them exploring the attic.

Genre: Reunion of former best friends, attempt at comedy, angst, drama & more.
Chapter Warnings: Nothing too serious, just Jk being something... Stupid with the protagonist who in fact, has a name! I can't get used to putting Y/N, sorry, it's wattpad's fault. Flashbacks at the beginning. Jungkook ptd era, a few months before, I don't know, it looks like it did at the end of 2020.
Note!: Sorry if this has grammatical errors of any kind, English is not my first language but I try, take the liberty of (without the need to be cruel, please) correct or point out anything that doesn't make sense. It's not my first time writing a fanfic (surprise, this is part of one of those) but it's my first time publishing some of what I commonly write on wattpad by this app. Let me know what you think!

I've never been the kind of positive person who sees the glass half full or the rainbow after the storm. You could say it was quite the opposite.
I saw the empty glass and had no expectations that there would be water nearby that could fill it, nor did I expect calm after the storm, for all my life I lived in the midst of an eternal one. A frightening, never-ending downpour of bad times and dealings, one after another, another and another.
Naturally, having grown up in the midst of so much disaster, I became one. At the young age of fifteen, adults labeled me a lost cause.
At school the teachers called my attention every time I opened my mouth to give my humble and irreverent opinion on any subject they exposed, they punished me for not doing my homework, for falling asleep in class, for punching some idiot who wanted to be too clever with me and they ended up scolding me for wearing the untidy uniform or sometimes, incomplete.
At home, my parents' attitude toward me was not very different from that of the teachers at school; Yelling, punishment and a few blows for being me… A lost cause that didn't want to be found. I had them fed up.
And I was also tired of having to fight everyone who stood in front of me. Or well, with almost anyone who dared to cross eyes with me, because there was one exception. The only person on the face of the Earth with whom I dared not even jokingly argue was my paternal cousin, Min Yoongi.
The twenty-year-old (back then obviously, duh) was one of the few, or the only person I still had a shred of respect for. But he had earned it in large part by the way he ignored the words of his parents, my uncles, and left home to try to make a living doing what he loved most: music. The other part of my respect came from the fact that when I talked to him like everyone else, like he was stupid and his IQ was -20, he gave me damn devilish looks that sent shivers down my spine.
Min Yoongi was the only living being on the face of the Earth that I listened to and obeyed. Most of the time.
And when my parents realized that, they took advantage. They took advantage of the fact that when he spoke, I seemed to be listening to a prophet of the apocalypse willing to make me survive a few more days, and they also took advantage of Yoongi's economic shortages.
The cards my parents decided to play were simple but advantageous to both parties, supposedly. From my point of view, they put on my cousin's shoulders a responsibility that did not belong to him and that would end up leaving him bald before he was forty: They made him my official babysitter.
Every afternoon, Yoongi had to pick me up when my school day ended and then, since my parents didn't trust my judgment one bit, the pale man had to take care of me for the rest of the day until nightfall; The first few days were boring, if I'm completely honest.
Since I didn't have the trust of adults, I didn't have the privilege of staying home alone, doing nothing and procrastinating. Yoongi would pick me up from high school and then we would walk back to my house, where we would eat whatever mom had prepared before going to work, he would help me do some chores (which initially I didn't even plan to do but that I ended up doing because he got as stubborn as a mule), we would watch TV and when the clock struck ten minutes past eight, he was leaving.
That was our routine the first week, in his second week as a nanny, Min Yoongi finally deigned to introduce me to the boys he had hung out with to try to fulfill her dream.
"She's Hanami”. He said simply, by way of introduction.
“Tell me Hannah, not Hanami. If they do, they're going to get by…” His disapproving look was what made me shut up and smile sweetly not like me. “Just kidding. But I really prefer to be called the first thing”.
Five of the six boys standing in front of me nodded their heads unconvinced. I even think I heard one of them, the tallest and lankiest, whisper something similar to another that he feared for his life.
I stifled the urge to snort and began to explore the room I was in with my eyes. Yoongi had taken me to the small apartment where he said he was living. It wasn't very big or small, it was the perfect size for two people to live comfortably.
The problem is that it was inhabited by seven and that's why it looked tiny. There were things cluttering every space and the neatness, well, it left a lot to be desired. It was a never-ending mess, underwear everywhere, a huge pile of dirty dishes in the kitchen sink, the cushions in the living room were lying on the wooden floor, and the bedrooms…
I felt a chill as I looked at everything in detail. And an immense curiosity overshadowed that spasm when in my field of vision appeared the sixth boy who had been left out of the dry presentation that was given to me.
He beat me by a few centimeters in height, his hair was as black as the… What do I know, the blackest black hole in the galaxy? And equally dark, round eyes that watched me with a certain fear. I was amused to see the feeling heightened when he saw me move in his direction.
“Am I scary?” That was the first thing that came out of my mouth when I was a measly thirty centimeters away from the boy.
I didn't need a verbal response because his body gave him away. He took a few steps back from me, and his voice trembled as he uselessly shook his head:
“No, you're not scary”. Yes, credible.
I chuckled and took the steps he had taken back. This time he stayed in place and when he scanned my face, I could see something else in his half-slaughtered lamb eyes. He wasn't afraid of me for being me, unlike the other lanky guy, he was afraid of me just for being a girl.
And I confirmed it when I extended my hand to him in a friendly way to introduce ourselves properly.
“You heard that my name is Hanna, tell me your name” He looked at me full of insecurity, nervous “Go on, tell me”.
His lips cocked into a grimace, but he ended up going along with me.
"My name is Jungkook," he muttered, clasping our limbs loosely.
“Ah, do you see? It wasn't that hard,” I squeezed his hand tightly before letting go. “You don't have to fear, I don't bite and when I do, it's usually in a fight”.
He was petrified and I began to wonder if Bambi's little eyes lacked humor, because he didn't laugh at the joke that moments later, I had to clarify. That seemed to relieve him.
I was relieved that after that awkward exchange, and as the days went by that I shared with the group of boys, Jungkook became my person; We were the same age, had an intense taste in common for banana milk, and had the same revulsion for the subject of English. We were both similar teenagers living completely opposite lives.
But it was part of what brought us closer together.
When I was in high school, so did Jungkook. In the evenings, when we were supposed to be doing our homework, he was rehearsing some new choreography, a new song, recording something in the studio or composing. And I went with him.
Seen from the outside point of view, the situation could be understood to mean that I was the one who did not leave the boy alone. But seen from my perspective, he was the one who wouldn't let me leave his side. And I wasn't complaining.
He would call me on the phone every morning while we were on our way to school, ask me to stop by the agency (with which he and the other six boys, including my cousin, had signed to start their artistic career) in the afternoons, on weekends he would invite me to his dorm room to do absolutely nothing together or on the contrary, help you clean up all the clutter accumulated in the place. I agreed to everything without hesitation or thinking too much, because I liked it.
Jungkook seemed to enjoy my company and I enjoyed his. I enjoyed and rejoiced in the feeling of feeling indispensable to someone. To even be pleasing in the eyes of another human being.
While I was with him, the problematic Hanami, the one with the worst grades, the useless one with no future, and any negative qualifying adjective with which I had been described before, disappeared. And in contrast, I turned into a bunch of other brilliant, beautiful adjectives.
Being with Jungkook, it was Hanami who was wise, Hanami who - proudly - could eat more than three servings of gimbap, it was Hanami who was the expert in movies and in making the wittiest jokes.
It made me feel like the sun when it was, indeed, the moon. Jeon was the planet earth around which I revolved.
“If she asks you out again, say no,” I raised my hand in the air when the jet-haired man meant to speak. “She threw you lunch a few days ago, it's all clear”.
Nothing was clear to the one-eyed Bambi and he let me know.
“It was an accident, she apologized to me and then offered to share her own. I don't see the problem”. He crossed his arms while dumbfounded.
“Realize, Jungkook! She did it on purpose to make what you just told me happen. She likes you!” I covered my mouth with both hands after I shouted the undeniable truth.
Jeon only raised both eyebrows, but he didn't even flinch, unlike me.
We had been talking for at least forty minutes about a girl in his class who had spent the previous weeks harassing my friend, who, being excessively kind and typical of him, had not dared to send her to… far, far away. He didn't stop and that day, as I remember, she asked him out.
I objected to his acquiescence, and Jungkook would not budge or be willing to follow my advice.
“She likes me, isn't that reason enough to go out together?"
I snorted, stressed. Another way Jeon and I were similar was how stubborn we occasionally were. We stood firm with our decisions until the end.
I was about to roll my eyes one last time when the most timely and juicy idea crossed my mind.
“Okay. If you agree to go out with your partner, I'll ask Taehyung to go on a date.” The roles of who was the most indignant and in disagreement were reversed, it was I who was now watching with disbelief and despair.
“And why Taehyung, Hanami?!” In short, I got him out of his boxes, there were few times when he called me by my full name. “Think again, you fool!”
I let go of the grip on my shoulders, just as I had grabbed him seconds before, and pretended to think, as if weighing his request.
“Nope. If I'm going to date anyone, I want it to be with Tae. Have you seen it? He's funny and he has good taste in music,” Jungkook pretended to vomit at my feet after hearing the way I described his friend and partner.
Just as I refused to let my best friend go out with that bullie, Jeon refused to visualize a reality in which I had anything to do with the younger Kim's. As he once explained to me, one of the many in which I joked that I liked Tae, said that it would be strange and that if things went wrong between me and the square-smiled boy, I wouldn't be able to take sides.
“Go out with anyone else but not Taehyung, please” he complained in a chant, shaking my arms.
I don't know if it was the work of the wise universe or a coincidence, but while Jungkook threw his tantrum begging him to find another candidate to go out, my first supposed choice appeared in the practice room we were in.
He was wearing black sweatpants and a white sleeveless shirt that was noticeably larger and made him look smaller than he actually was.
He stood behind Jungkook, who, in his temper tantrum, did not notice the grimaces of displeasure that Kim directed at him. It was inevitable to let out a laugh when Taehyung made a face that I thought was funny.
“Do you still dare to laugh…?”
“Leave Hannini alone, Jungkook,” Tae interrupted, pushing aside the man and passing an arm around my shoulders in a friendly manner. “I told you you should be my best friend, but you refused”.
It was common for Taehyung to spontaneously show up and start talking about anything, joking and jumping from topic to topic every five seconds. It could be stunning at first. And it annoyed Jungkook that he hinted that he could be a better friend to me than he was.
“I just don't want to be your best friend, Taehyung,” he frowned. “I want us to go for a walk and hold hands”. I pulled his arm out of my arm and clasped our hands quickly.
I took him by surprise and saw that he was about to make a disgusted face, but I gave him a squeeze and surreptitiously looked at the round-eyed man who was looking at us without believing my audacity.
He picked up on my true intentions, relaxed, and played along.
“Oh my dear Hanna, you don't know the joy that fills my heart when I hear you say these beautiful words.” Drama was Taehyung's middle name, though I attributed that drama to a behavior learned from the eldest within his group.
The hand we were holding became on his chest for a few seconds before Jungkook slapped it away. He was outraged, furious and… He looked too cute like that.
“Yah, you're not going out anywhere together!” The youngest of the three of us tugged at my hand and pulled me quickly away from Tae, who could barely contain his mocking laughter. “Stop bothering me, both of you”.
As expected, we did the opposite. Taehyung looked at me and I looked at him, then we looked at Jungkook and our fit of laughter erupted. At that age we used to laugh a lot at the expense of Bambi's little eyes, probably because he was funny without even trying and he wasn't aware of it.
What I'm well aware of is that this fifteen-year-old Jeon Jungkook doesn't share the same feelings for me that the current Jungkook harbors.
“I don't like it, change it or something.”
I refrain from literally pulling the strands of my hair or shouting a whole string of insults at him and contrary to everything above that someone in my situation and with a sane mind would do, I offer him my most false but pleasant smile before in a calm tone, ask:
“What's not to your liking this time, huh? Because we've changed the track five times, your part of the lyrics three times and the name twice.”
Most of the time I love my job, it makes me feel fulfilled and with a reason to live, spending my time locked in the studio making musical arrangements, composing side by side with other people and helping in the recording of new songs satisfies me. And I never thought I would become one of those people who hates to work because that's precisely why I had chosen to dedicate myself to this, because no one can be unhappy if they earn money doing something they love.
But I was wrong, I've been hating with every inch of my body and heart, working. The last three months have been horrible and all I want is to be fired, to be fired without a chance to come back even if I beg, because I wouldn't. If I do beg, it will be for them to change the group from which they put me as the main producer.
“And I'm still not convinced one bit, despite all the changes you mentioned,” Jungkook says cynically. I want to punch him “It doesn't matter, I think we'll have to do everything from scratch.”
I'm going to punch him, I'm going to take his head in my hands, and I'm going to smash it against the computer keyboard until he thinks about the great stupidity he just spouted so lightly.
I'm about to open my mouth and probably ruin my short but flawless career as a producer when the studio door is suddenly opened and a certain twenty-something saves me from being unemployed.
“Hanni, the food has arrived, let's eat because I feel like I'm out of my mind- Oh, sorry for interrupting!” When Yeonjun realizes who I'm with, he doesn't take long to bow several times to apologize “You can also come and eat with us, hyung”.
I give the turquoise-haired man a disapproving look and he gives it back to me. Yeonjun doesn't understand why I claim that Jungkook doesn't like me and I don't understand why he just invited him to eat with us when these last few months I've repeated to him ad nauseam that I feel some discomfort around him.
Both are half-truths, of course. But I also can't tell Choi that one of his idols and I have known each other since we were stupid teenagers - more him than me - and that the reason he knows and claims that he doesn't like me is because that's exactly what happens.
Jeon Jungkook hates me, he's not happy that we've met again after years of not hearing anything from me and I completely understand.

Menachem Ernest Amos is a former teacher who is about to enter the tech world. In this interview, he talks about his Careerist training from a teacher's perspective, including his highlights and reasons for choosing the Manual Quality Assurance training program
✨ Intrigued and ready to land your dream job in tech? Then go on and enroll in one of our training programs by following the link
➡️ Read more in our blog
❓ Why did you start searching for career-shifting opportunities? 🗣 Actually, I didn't. My sister was looking into it for her son, and I saw some of what she found. I took a look at it, and I said, "Hey, this looks cool. I could handle this." My sister found a number of options, and Careerist looked like the best one
❓ Did you intend to build your career in tech before you saw Careerist? 🗣 Not really, because I thought it was unreachable. I thought I would need to go back to college and get a computer science degree. I didn't realize that a different path could get me there
❓ And why did you think that Careerist was what you needed? 🗣 I liked the nature of the training and the option to get job-search help. Some online training is free, and you only pay once you get a job. But I worry about things like that. They're not good or have some hidden fee to hit you with. But Careerist is straightforward — you pay upfront. I liked that. I checked it out on the internet, and it seemed good. I didn't know much about anything at the time, but it was a good choice, and I stand by it. Careerist was one of the more economical options as well
❓ Have you described this training to family or friends? What did you say? 🗣 I said it's pretty cool. Careerist helps you get a job, but you have to put in the work. The training gives you the tools you need. And I like that the JAS will apply for you—the program meets you if you do the work. The classes are collaborative, and the homework is useful, but the internship is really the highlight

When I was high school freshman age or so, there was some Batman comic arc dealing with Arkham Asylum that I vaguely remember where Batman was taking a tour to see how Arkham had helped and was still helping all the people he had sent there.
And they got to Harvey Dent. They had helped Harvey move on from the coin to a deck of cards so instead of a binary yes or no, he could work out a huge range of issues and answers by dealing the deck. Unfortunately this meant all his decisions took much longer so he went to the bathroom in his pants before he could decide if he should go to the actual bathroom or not. So there was still work to be done.
I feel like there’s some lesson or other that can be pulled from that to teach the coin boys.
Like, do you really want only two choices? I got a fudge die, that means I can have three choices. How about a d20? Can you think of 20 different possibilities for your choices? What could we do with percentile dice? What about multiple choices at a time like chocolate vs vanilla and cake vs ice cream, and look I got a d4 but you can use percentile dice for the same odds.
Ok, now that you’ve got all that, let’s keep the idea that you have to live or die by a mechanism. Which of these mechanisms are better for which decisions? Which method do you want to use for homework? Eating? Going to the bathroom? Solving disputes? Why that one? What might be an advantage of a different mechanism even if on the whole your first choice is best?
I think this is really the whole problem of having specified subjects and standardized measures in schools. Yes, we all need to learn specific things and at a somewhat uniform rate, but I feel like this is kids handing a teacher a subject. Yes, a stupid pain in the ass subject. But that’s useful, too. Because it is a perfect opportunity to talk about that. WHY is it a pain in the ass? Why will it make life harder for the teacher? Why will it make life harder for the students? How might we evaluate whether it’s worth the difficulty or not? How could we extend this line of thought into other areas? Are there other things you “live and die by” that you’re not sure is worth the trouble? Are there things we need to live and die by or should we always analyze? How might we decide which is best at which time? Will we always be able to decide? Is there an advantage to taking those abilities - to decide and to analyze - away from people? Away from yourself? Should the answer always be the same for everybody? Why?
And you can get out of that lessons in: math, critical thinking, ethics, philosophy, social studies, history, literature, you name it. Like it can just be a framework for education. All you have to do is skip around a bit to the applicable reading and exercises. I’m not saying it’s easy but I feel like it’s a gift just waiting to be taken.
There can be benefits to annoying and uncomfortable things. Which is a great lesson on its own.
I dunno, I can just picture different teachers I’ve had and how differently they would respond to this. I definitely picture my friend Jane (whom I met when she taught at my high school - literature, drama, and music - and she went from teacher to mentor to friend over the decades) improvising off of this. Like, ok, you wanna do this, let’s do it.
Admittedly, Mrs. Harper, my favorite English and Economics teacher, would have slugged back her spiked coffee and told the kids to shut it before she smacked them with a wet noodle. Do not forget this is a benevolent dictatorship, not a democracy. When I want your opinion, I will assign you an essay. She would have also made fun of them the rest of the year but they wouldn’t get it. You always knew Mrs. Harper’s favorites. They were the ones laughing in her class. She was funny mean. So… takes all kinds. :)

Medical School Personal Statement I looked at this teenage boy -- slouching, defiant, tense and trying his best to ignore me -- and I saw myself, 15 years ago. I used to be such an adolescent, a first-generation English speaker with little future before him. Unlike the young man I was seeing now, however, I was able to master English relatively early on and excel in academics. Looking back at the resolution in the young man's face who I was supposed to be tutoring, all of my own resolve solidified and I renewed my commitment to help him -- despite his best efforts to the contrary. Jonier was the teenager I had the pleasure of working with for three years during my tenure at Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America. Like me, he suffered from the fact that English was not his native language, and was deemed one of the worst adolescents in the program. I realized that his language barrier was largely the cause for all of his behavioral, social and scholastic issues, and realized that it would take someone with a firm commitment to helping others to keep him from becoming another casualty of poor socio-economic conditions without a father and a single mother who worked long hours. During the duration of my tenure in the program I resolved to become that positive male role model for him, and to help him to help himself. Working with Jonier for three years helped me to realize my purpose in life -- to assist others and to give them the sort of chance that circumstances in life had taken away from them. As I spent time with him each week, taking him out to eat, poring over his homework and school assignments, teaching him how to drive, I found myself wanting to help others as well. I believe that the principle way I can do so is by laboring through medical school and becoming a doctor, and gaining the requisite knowledge to hone my talents to become a successful practitioner in the medical field. Still, working with Jonier was far from easy. The language barrier he had and which helped to render him an outcast was still existent with me. Many times, he would appear disinterested and disengaged at our activities. However, I was able to see through his facade on several occasions, and discerned the knack for realizing when he was enjoying himself and when my efforts were paying off. I believe I was able to help him reach an epiphany at one point when I told him that I, too, had learned English as a second language, and was now working my way through college. From that point on he looked at me differently. I was no longer just another person on the outside who spoke and communicated in a language that he had difficulty understanding. I was an example of the fact that he and his own were a work in progress, and my desire to remain an exemplary role model for this young man intensified. In the final months and weeks of my time working with Jonier, I was able to see a tangible difference in his interactions with others and his zest for life in general. He now had a better understanding of the fact that hard work and focus could help him to overcome his circumstances, much as it enabled me to overcome similar circumstances. I truly believe that my acceptance into your medical school program will enable me to gain the necessary skills and talents required to continue impacting the lives of people like Jonier and others, by not only providing them with proper medical care but also a proper perspective on life's vicissitudes and the way to triumph throughout them. https://www.paperdue.com/customer/paper/medical-school-personal-statement-i-looked-192976#:~:text=Logout-,MedicalSchoolPersonalStatementIlookedat,-Length2pages   Read the full article
