As far as Toga could remember she never had a family to call her own, sure she was created by her mother and father and had a sibling or two but they always felt distant. It was like they were living in a different world than she was. Whenever they would spend time together they would often send weary disgusted glances her way, grimace when she smiled showing off her sharp fangs, and try to separate her from her "normal” siblings. Later on once her quirk came in harsh beatings from her father became a common occurrence over her hunting small animals and cravings for blood. It was like she was a viper born into a family of cowardly bunnies. They were always on edge, constantly afraid of when she would snap and eat them too.
When she inevitably did crack, stabbing one of her classmates in a hunger induced haze due starvation and malnutrition. Her parents were quick to disown her and claim she had simply been born incorrectly and that the incident had nothing to do with their parenting. They even tried to turn her into the police station stating she was too dangerous for the general public but luckily she was able to run away. The fresh blood giving her just enough energy to react quickly and escape capture. For the first time in what seemed like forever she had a clear mind. There wasn't a heavy cloud of hunger hanging over her head. But she was all alone with no one to turn to with nothing but her dirty school uniform and an empty backpack.
She spent weeks wandering learning how to live on the streets and trying to get out of her hometown as quickly as possible. Since she was a minor they couldn’t plaster her face on wanted posters but the detailed description the police released of her was enough to get her suspicious glances and frantic calls to the police whenever she entered a store. She hadn't thought she would be so easily recognizable. I mean how many small blonde girls with golden eyes and blood sucking fangs can there be in Japan? Apparently not enough because she was getting chased down by heroes practically every time she went into a public space. She couldn't afford any hair dye or eye contacts but a dirty face mask she found littered on the street helped conceal her identity a bit. It was better than nothing.
Eventually after several weeks the news of her school stabbing died down and people began to forget her wanted description. Now the looks she received were mostly out of pity or disgust, most people just thinking of her as a homeless teen or a runaway. She didn't have any money and most nights she didn't even have a place to go to sleep but she was free. At the moment she was living off any birds and small animals she could catch, mostly rats she couldn't bring herself to eat any stray pets, and sleeping in cardboard boxes and small hidey holes she could fit herself into. It wasn't much but she felt better than she has in years.
On the streets she heard rumors of a man who offered housing and decent pay for less than legal acts. It was a month before she found him or more like he found her. Apparently the man, Giran, had spread the word to plenty of his people that if they were to find her to bring her to him. Apparently word of her quirk got around in the underworld and many people had requests for it.
The one who ended up catching her was her dad. She had been terrified at the time, confusing his gray and black outfit for a hero costume and lashed out at him with her tiny pocket knife. But she was quickly unarmed and pinned to the wall of the alleyway by a pair of clones. She thrashed and screamed, panicking trying to get out of his hold until Twice explained that he wasn't a hero and was here to offer her a job. He was employed by Giran, the man she was looking for and he just wanted to talk to her. She had been wary at first. Many people have wanted to hire her for her body or use her quirk for disgusting things before but she could see sincerity shining in the man's eyes so she reluctantly decided to hear him out.
He explained how his life had spiraled out of control because of his mental health and an incident regarding quirk. He had lost everything and had been on the streets too until he met Giran. The man had taken him in and gave him a safe place to sleep, practice his quirk, and a steady income. He told her that she would have a safe place to live where no one would judge her and Giran told him about a new group that will start recruiting people like them in a couple of months to help change the world. And that even if she doesn’t want to stay with them to at least consider accepting their help just long enough to get on her own feet and off the streets. The man had a soft spot for kids and wanted to help her in a way he had wished someone had helped him when he was younger.
She ended up reluctantly agreeing to go with him to see Giran and from there on the rest is history. She met the broker and agreed to work for him so long as she didn't have to sell her body. The man had sputtered coughing out lungfuls of smoke when she had said that and vehemently assured her that that was never what he wanted to employ her for. It wasn't much but the slightly offended look on the broker's face and the shocked look on Twice had reassured her that these guys aren't like the disgusting people that have tried to employ her in the past.
She was then brought to a small shoddy apartment complex Giran owned and told she would be rooming with Twice for the time being since all the other complexes were full. She had been weary at first staying in an apartment with a strange man apparently named Jin Bubaigawara but after a few weeks of living together the two became very close. Jin was the first person ever to treat her kindly. He never looked at her in disgust when she drank blood or smiled. He guided her when she needed help and scolded her when she misbehaved. He was everything she wished her original family had been. Slowly but surely the slightly unstable man filled the aching hole in her heart. When meeting with a client for a job they were mistaken for a father daughter duo and they didn't bother to correct them. The title felt right, from then on she started to call him dad.
After a couple of months of taking odd jobs here and there from Giran they met up with a pair of young men and their sensei and officially joined the league. They spent most of their time training, planning, and helping lay down the groundwork for the war. Slowly the others were recruited first Mr.Compress then Magne and Spinner and lastly Hawks. Though they recruited many more grunts and even merged with other organizations they remained Tomura’s most trusted confidants. During their time together they had also become a family. They spent most days together managing to find time to goof off and bond with the other members while working to complete their goal. They were tasked with bringing down an entire society centered around heroics afterall. Then when they were ready; they started the war and swiftly ended it managing to bring heroes to their knees.
The beginning of the war had been pretty chaotic, at one point she had gotten separated from the others and cornered by a group of heroes. That was when she met her, her little hero. The reason she was cornered was due to a hero spotting her form melting from a elderly man to a young boy. Ochaco had spotted the heroes charging towards her and screamed at them for daring to hurt a child. The heroes yelled back, that she wasn't actually a kid and was really Himiko Toga but Ochaco just screamed “It doesn’t matter if she's a villain she doesn't deserve lethal force! She’s still a kid, she just needs help!” She had fought against her own side to save her. Ochaco was the first hero to ever try to help her; she was her very own hero. From then on she became obsessed; she wanted to know anything and everything relating to the girl.
After they won the war all hero schools were shut down effective immediately. While raiding the abandoned UA campus for clues into the whereabouts of the missing class she stumbled upon files on Ochaco including details on the girls homelife and past assignments. What she found had shocked her; there were many notes from her teachers detailing Ochaco having trouble staying awake in class, not having anything to eat for lunch, and passing out during training. Her records showed that she attended UA on a financial aid scholarship, the girl most likely didn't have enough money to feed herself due to her family's poor financial situation. The heroes knew all this and they did nothing to help.
Then she found it, in a stack of assignments labeled class 1-A, a worksheet with the prompt: why do you want to become a hero? All the girl wrote about was her parents and wanting to make money for them. And how she was already helping them as much as she could but it wasn't enough so she decided to become a hero to help ease their burdens. This is why she was doing so poorly in class, the brunette was training daily on a near empty stomach and working with her parents failing business afterschool with little to no time to rest. It was no wonder she was having trouble in class. Her little hero didn't even want to be one other than to help her selfish greedy parents.
That was when Toga knew Ochaco was just like her. She too was being exploited by awful parents while the heroes turned a blind eye and did nothing to help. Ochako needs someone to help her like the league helped her. At that moment she decided that person would be her. When they eventually find class 1-A she and her dad will be taking Ochaco with them because she deserves to be saved too. She needs someone to tell her that what happened to her wasn't okay and learn how to be cared for instead of always caring for others. She probably won't understand at first but it’s for her own good. Her baby sister will be the most spoiled pampered little girl in the world. She won’t have to overwork herself ever again when they get their hands on her. Now all they had to do was find the girl…
===
Ochaco awoke slowly groggily blinking her sleepy eyes. She was so comfortable she didn't even want to wake up but something felt strange. The blankets were incredibly soft unlike the old scratchy ones she had at home, the pajamas she was wearing felt far nicer than anything she's ever had, and she could hear soft lulling music that made her want to go back to sleep. As her vision cleared she noticed what looked like white bars on the ceiling and something slowly spinning?  She shot up in a panic, adrenaline hitting her system when she realized she could recognize where she was. As she looked around she realized the bars were not attached to the ceiling; they were surrounding her entirely. She was in some sort of enclosed crib.
As she looked around the room she could only feel dread. The room itself was beautiful; it was huge and looked like it was made for a princess. The walls were a soft pastel pink, the floors covered in soft fluffy pink carpet, the room had what looked like a million plushies and toys decorating the space. Her name was written above the bed in white cursive lettering, a circular canopy hanging above the crib with a mobile spinning softly in the center that must have been where the lullaby from earlier was coming from. There were huge windows with pretty pink curtains and a large balcony with what looked to be a white patio table with matching chairs. It looked like something a princess would use for a tea party.
It was really pretty but… it looked like a room made in wait for the arrival of a baby girl. The last memories she had was being forcefully taken by the league from their hideout. So why was she here? Maybe they were saved, someone must have intercepted the league kidnapping them. But why would her name be on the wall? Heroes on the run usually don’t have much money let alone time to customize rooms for people they rescue. Her stomach dropped as she realized she was most likely still with the league. Her eyes filled with tears and she wondered what was going to happen to her and began to weep. Her lungs could hardly keep up with how heavily she was sobbing. She could barely breathe thinking of all the possibilities for why the league kidnapped her.
Suddenly a voice speaking from a baby monitor she hadn't noticed rang out. “Calm down princess, Daddy will be there soon it's all right. Chin up buttercup!” The girl could only sob harder when she recognized the voice belonging to the masked villain who abducted her. She trembled as she waited for the arrival of her captor. The music from the mobile started up again, soothing her in an almost unnatural way. As the doors opened she could no longer feel the rising panic she was feeling a moment ago. She just watched as an unremarkable blonde man and Himiko Toga entered the room while the last of her tears rolled down her face. As they strolled forward marching toward the bed she inched backwards until her back was hitting the bars of the crib looking up at two sets of eyes watching her adoringly.
“Hey baby we heard you're not feeling too well. ‘Course not she just got here! What can daddy do to make it better? Hold her?” Jin cooed down at the girl. His little angel was finally safe at home. When Himiko told him about her past he just knew he had to take her in. He’s always had a soft spot for children especially those mistreated by the ones who are supposed to love them most. Her story reminded him of too much of his Himiko; there was no way he was sending her back to live with her parents. His baby went through too much too soon in her short life. She deserved to be loved and cherished like she was always meant to be.
“Yeah Ochaco, just say the word and we’ll make it better. We’ll get you anything you want!” Toga exclaimed with a wide smile. She was so happy that her baby sister was finally home.
“Wait! What's going on? Who are you and why are you calling yourself my dad? I already have parents of my own.” She asked calmly. She knew she should be upset but she couldn’t feel anything wrong, just confusion. It was like any of her negative emotions were being blocked by something.
“What am I doing here and what is all this?” She gestured to the room around her as a fresh set of tears rolled down her face, it seemed her body was still physically reacting to her emotions; she just couldn't feel them.
“Oh baby you must be so confused. It's okay sweetie! All this must be so different from what you're used to huh? My poor little girl. Let me break it down into simple terms for you. Poor baby doesn't understand.” Twice answers with a bit of sadness creeping into his eyes. The girl clearly has never been doted on before and can’t understand why they were doing this.
“My name is Jin Bubaigawara. I’m going to be your new daddy and this is your big sister Himiko. You’re here because we found out the way you were being treated at home and by the heroes around you and could not stand to send you back to your parents in good conscience. You deserve to be treasured and loved, not overworked and exploited. This is all for you princess.” The man said with full sincerity. He did not want her to end up like he did, a child slipping through the cracks with no one to lean on.
“Ochaco I know what it's like to have terrible parents and have everyone around me know they're bad but turn a blind eye to the abuse. I wanted to save you like dad helped save me.” Toga said, hoping the girl would understand.
“What are you talking about? I didn't need to be saved from anyone! My parents love me! They've never been abusive!” Ochaco spoke gently. She could feel her face heating up like it usually did when she gets mad but felt no actual anger. She knows that if they weren't blocking her emotions right now she would be very angry. Because even though her parents were poor they still loved her and cared for her the best they could. There was no “abuse” in their home; these are a bunch of lies.
“I know it's hard to accept that what happened to you was wrong but it was. Being cared for will feel weird in the beginning. I know it can be hard to not feel guilty for just existing but we really do love you and just want what is best for you, Even if you can't see that at the moment.” Toga said grimacing slightly at the red flush indicating anger on the girl's bewildered face.
“Don't worry angel, you'll understand soon. You won't have a choice.” Twice added ominously.
===
Then began her new hellish existence. The duo seem to think that since she was previously so “exhausted and overworked” that she shouldn't be doing anything for herself. They don't let her feed herself, dress herself, bathe herself, or even walk on her own. She is carried everywhere and if she isn't being carried she has to hold one of their hands for “safety”. They essentially took away all of her bodily autonomy and ignore any protests she has regarding the treatment. Every time she tries to fight against them they give her a dose of muscle relaxer and do whatever they want anyway. They don’t even have the decency to put her to sleep, she's conscious the whole time while they coo and shower her in praise.
She can’t tell which one is worse: Twice's constant smothering or Toga’s loud playful disposition. The man is the most overprotective father she has ever bared witness to. This extends to Himiko as well but for some unknown reason he is ten times worse when it comes to her. For example once while she was trying to escape her crib she had gotten a splinter and accidentally cried out in pain when it had happened. The man immediately rushed to her, saw the splinter and took her to the doctor to get her splinter disinfected and removed. Then promptly had the crib removed and ordered a new one and observed the hired crew assembling it making sure that each piece of wood was sanded down perfectly. All while Ochaco was in his arms being cooed at and praised for being brave as if she had broken a leg.
While Toga treats her like a plaything, dressing her in the prettiest clothes she can find and making elaborate games for them to play together. Depending on the day it can help distract her from the heavy thoughts in her mind or make them worse. She can’t even find it in herself to hate them, not really anyway. Clearly they have both been hurt in the past and think they are doing a good thing by keeping her but her mind is beginning to crack.
Ochaco thought that they would eventually get bored and stop but this has been going on for months. They have never once let up on the constant babying except to have serious conversations where they try to gaslight her into thinking her childhood was terrible and send her pitying looks when she tries to refute their claims. They never fail to remind her that her parents were greedy and exploitative and that she is “safe” now. As if she wasn’t kidnapped and being forcibly imprisoned.
The punishments were even worse; they just took more basic privileges away from her. She wasn't always carried twenty-four-seven but after too many failed escape attempts they decided it would be in her “best interest” to stop walking altogether. If she needs something she either has to ask her captors or suffer the humiliation of crawling. If she refuses to call them by their preferred names, Daddy and Himi-nii, she isn't allowed to speak at all. They have this pacifier contraption that physically cannot be removed from her mouth except by one of them. It's probably enchanted by some sort of quirk. Same goes for the mobile that stops any so-called “tantrums” before they start. Which in reality is just her being rightfully upset at her situation and being forced to lock away those feelings. Worst of all she can’t even fight against the punishments because each time she tries they dutifully remind her that the only reason her parents are still alive is because they allow it and how that can always be changed if she does not behave.
She can't handle it anymore. Every day that passed she could feel her mind fracturing more and more. If she stays here any longer she’ll lose herself completely. But where can she go? The league will hunt her down anywhere she tries to run. She can’t go back to her parents, that's where they would look first. She doubts she could even get them out of Japan considering how locked down the country is and if they caught them with her they would surely be killed. She is one those specifically chosen by the league to become part of their “family”, she will most likely never lead a normal life ever again. She will never be able to escape them so long as she lives.
===
One beautiful sunny spring day Ochaco and Twice were having a tea party in her room, while Toga was out shopping, probably getting her more clothes and toys she doesn't want. The curtains were drawn letting in sunshine and a warm breeze, the doors to the balcony were wide open showing a gorgeous lush garden that surrounded the mansion. She was reluctantly playing on the floor with a pretty floral tea set, wearing matching princess tiaras with her “Daddy’s” when Twice suddenly got a phone call. It seemed to be very important considering he did not restrain her before rushing out the door. Well she has been doing “better” recently, in reality she’s been too numb to resist much of anything.
Slowly she gathered herself up off the floor, her legs wobbling from not being utilized very often and walked out onto the balcony. She looked over the stone border to see a several mile high drop. As she stared she contemplated if this was really the only way. She tried to find other solutions but couldn't come up with anything. She had been thinking of escape for months and what she would if she ever got the chance to leave but nothing seemed feasible. The league will never let her go. She will never be able to see her parents again or have never have a normal life. This is the only way she thought as she stepped up onto the ledge. She hesitated for a moment before hearing the door to her room click open and made up her mind. She turned around and gently pushed her feet off the edge letting herself fall. She heard the man scream coming from above but ignored it. He’d be too slow to catch her anyways.
“I'm so sorry mom and dad. I hope we can meet again in another life.” She thought as her body sailed through the air. “I'm finally going to be free!”
When suddenly a flurry of red feathers flew toward her stopping her rapid descent towards the ground.
“NO!” The girl screamed as she hung from the feathers embedded in her clothing. She thrashed trying to dislodged them before their winged owner arrived but was unsuccessful. The blond man was there before she could blink, lifting her into his strong muscular arms.
“Oh chicklet, what have you done?” Keigo spoke gravely, golden eyes filled with sorrow. When he had gotten the alert that one of the other’s fledgling had fallen off the west side of the building he had assumed it was a fluke. That maybe she and Himiko were playing a bit too recklessly and had a little accident but this…this was intentional. His stomach filled with dread, he would have never imagined any of their children attempting something like this. She was actually trying to die.
“Let me go! I want to go! Just let me go!” The girl's screams dissolved into sobs as yet another escape attempt ended in failure. This was her last chance to be free. She won’t ever get a chance like this ever again after this stunt. Ochaco is going to die, maybe not physically but they are going to kill her. They are going to take away everything that makes her her and mold her into whatever they want. At this point she might just let them. She’s tired. She doesn't want to fight anymore. She’s done.
As they flew back up to the balcony the girl grew limp. He wonders if she knows how badly she is going to be punished for this. While Jin is one of the sweetest most generous guys Keigo knows, he could also be unbearably possessive if you try to take something away from him that is his, a trait from his childhood growing up in the slums. He doesn't even know where to begin when it comes to Himiko. The girl is also both extremely possessive and obsessive of anyone she considers family, due to her lack of a healthy loving family for most of her childhood. Ochaco tried to take herself away from them permanently. This won't be handled lightly.
“I think I caught something of yours?” Hawks spoke lightheartedly as he handed Ochaco back to her father trying to ease the man's panic. If Fumikage or Shouto ever did something like this they would never see the light of day again.
“Oh thank god! Baby are you alright? Of course not, she tried to kill herself!” Twice hugged the girl tightly.
“I'm sorry Daddy! I didn't mean to- I didn't want- I…I just didn't know what to do.” Ochaco said the soft words tapering off into broken sobs.
“It's alright sweetheart we’ll get you the help you need. Just go to sleep when you wake up you'll be all better.” The man responded gently, shushing and rocking the girl to sleep. The sedative worked quickly and she was out in seconds.
“Thank you for saving my babygirl Keigo.” Twice thanked the winged man sincerely for once not splitting or contradicting himself.
“It's no problem! I hope the chicklet can safely recover from this.” Hawks answered solemnly. He was going to hug his fledglings so hard when he got home. They won't be leaving the nest for a while. He could feel his instincts beginning to go wild from seeing a nestling in so much danger.
“Oh she will. We’ll make her.”
===
When Ochaco awoke she found herself in a white padded room. There was no furniture, no bed, no color, nothing. Even she had been changed into a sterile white hospital gown. She couldn’t hear a sound aside from her own breathing.
“Oh…oh no.” She thought, this is her fault, this is what happens when you try to cross someone from the League. She tried to leave them and now they are going to destroy her.
At first she thought she could wait it out. Yes she did something…bad but surely they couldn’t be so cruel as to leave her on her own like this.
They are.
Nothing she did could get someone to come interact with her. She tried screaming, crying, pleading but no action received a response. Her meals arrived in the form of cold slop and water served randomly throughout the day when she was asleep. The tasteless mush does nothing quell the hunger in her stomach.
It hurts.
Soon she lost track of the days. There was no way to track it, meals came sporadically and the white lights never turned off. With nothing to focus on but the hunger in her stomach and the sound of her own breathing. Soon her mind began to blank; she would lose hours of the day doing nothing and thinking of nothing.
It was getting harder to think straight…her mind felt fuzzy.
Then came the doctor. Their face was a black void and their voice sounded staticy and unnatural; their body was vaguely humanoid and draped in white but if she stared too long her head would start to ache.
It didn't help. It didn't feel human.
Then the sessions began. It started simple enough: What was her name, her birthday, how she was feeling etc ect. But slowly it became more sinister for each question answered wrong and electric shock was sent through her collar.
“How many parents did you grow up with Ochaco?”
“Two.”
Shock
“Do you have any siblings my dear?”
“No.”
Shock
“What is your family name?”
“Uraraka.”
Shock
Eventually as the weeks began to blur together and the pain the shocks were starting to get stronger , the hunger, the burning white light became too much. She started to say the things they wanted to hear. She was starting to believe it too.
“Can you describe your family for me?”
“It’s just me, Daddy, and Himiko.”
“Good very good.”
“Can you describe the home you grew up in?”
“I have a big bedroom filled with a lot of toys, pink walls, and a crib. I have a big tv to watch cartoons and a lot of pretty decorations. And um…um… I can’t remember anywhere else.”
“That’s alright. I'm sure you’ll remember once you go back home. You're doing very well.”
“Do you go to school?”
“Daddy homeschools me.”
“That’s right.”
“Why are you here?”
“Why am I here? I can’t remember.”
“Oh sweetie, your family brought you here because of your memory problems. You were in a terrible accident and you've been having trouble remembering things ever since. I'm here to fix that and set your mind straight.”
It was harder for her to remember what's true and what's not. It was like whole chunks of her memories were being deleted and replaced. A fantasy carefully curated by her captors was taking over her mind.
The lapses of reality that break through the delusion hurt more than anything.
“What do you do when you see your family?”
“Smile!”
“How do you feel when you spend time with your daddy and big sister?”
“Happy!”
“Who do you want to see most when you finish treatment?”
“My mama!”
Shock
“I thought we discussed this Ochaco you don't have a mother.”
“I-i d-don't?”
“No, only a father and a sister.”
“Oh right… I guess I forgot. I’m sorry!”
“It’s alright sweet girl, you'll be back with them soon. You’re doing so well.”
===
Months… she thinks it's been months since she woke up in the white room. The doctor said it's time to go now. She's all better and it's time to go home. Her family will be picking her up soon. She’s trembling in anticipation waiting for their arrival. For some reason feels sick when she thinks of seeing her family. No that can’t be it, it must be excitement. She probably just forgot how happy she used to get to see them.
“Hi Daddy! Hi Himi-nii! I missed you!” Ochaco shouted as they walked through the door, wearing one of the bright happy smiles she practiced with the doctor.
“Oh baby I missed you so much. How are you doing? You're not having any more problems are you? We're so glad you're back!” Twice shouted as he scooped the girl into his arms and spun her around.
“No Daddy! I’m all better!” She said, letting out well rehearsed giggles as her dad spun her around.
“She took exceptionally well to the treatment. Ochaco, go ahead and show them what you learned.” The doctor ordered.
“Hi my name is Ochaco Bubaigawara! I live with my daddy and big sister Himiko. My favorite things in the whole wide world are my family and mochi! I like to spend my days playing with Himi-nii and waiting for daddy to come home. Speaking of home, I want to go back now please. This place wasn’t very fun.” Ochaco finished off her speech with puppy dog eyes.
“Of course Ochaco! We're going to have so much fun once we get home!” Toga responded joyfully, taking the girl from her dads arms.
“May I speak to you for a moment?” The doctor asked Jin.
“Of course! Whadaya want?”
“You’ll need to continue practicing the conditioning at home at least once a day for the next six months but other than that she should be good to go. The girl still has chances for relapse since she was only with me for a short amount of time. Usually the patients I take for permanent changes are with me for a year or more.”
“What! She can still go back to how she was before! What are we paying you for then?!”
“Sir my quirk is good but I'm not a miracle worker. You wanted her back as fast as possible so I did what I could within the six month period you gave me. I can’t remove huge portions of memory too quickly without ruining a person's individual personality. Unless you want me to keep her for another six months this is as good as it's going to get.”
“No, you're right, sorry. Fuck you! What do we need to do to make sure the changes stay permanent?”
“She still has some blanks in her memory that you’ll have to fill. Past events such as birthdays, friends, and general childhood I left blank for you to come up with. As long as you don’t trigger any major memories of her past within the next couple of months all changes should remain permanent. In the event of any past memories resurfacing so long as you bring her back to me quickly I can reverse the damage.”
“Alright, we can do that. We don’t want her to try to kill herself again! Thank you Doctor. Yeah thanks Doc!”
“No need to be so formal, call me V̸̠̌͗͒͂̑̅͌̕ö̷̥̮̥͓́̉̈́̿̅î̶̡̢̡̖͔͙̿d̸̛͇̗̰͙̋͗̃́. It was a pleasure doing business with you. ”
And with that they left the isolation ward. Ochaco in his arms reaching out to hold Himiko’s hand and smiling like she’s always been a part of the family. Their baby was back safe, sane, and happy as she should be. It took a while but their baby is finally all theirs.
===
Life has been so much fun ever since she got to come back home! She can’t believe she had forgotten all of it. It was a little bit hard at first to get back into the routine she used to have since she had forgotten all of it but her Daddy and big sister were a big help. Her day starts with daddy or Himi-nii waking her up, unlocking her crib and carrying her down to have breakfast either one feeding her or sometimes taking turns. She always has the yummiest treats for breakfast. Her daddy is a really good cook, her sister… not so much. Sometimes her Uncle Giri even teleports gourmet foods from all around the world just for her.
After breakfast Daddy runs a bath for her and nii-san, he always puts a little too much soap and they end up with a mountain of bubbles overflowing the tub. She gets to play with rubber bath toys while Himi-nii scrubs her clean and Daddy washes their hair. After that she is dressed in something cute and taken to school. After school she is allowed to do whatever she wants as long as someone is watching her. She’s not allowed to be alone but that doesn't matter; she loves spending time with all of her family.
She has eight aunts and uncles who love her very much, especially her uncle Keigo; he never lets her out of his sight when she comes over to play with the boys or lets her go near the windows. Whenever she tries to ask him about it he gets this sad look in his eyes and tells her it’s better if she doesn't know. She gets to visit them as much as she wants and is always allowed to come over to play with their kids.
She loves her cousins Shouto, Fumikage, and Nieto too, they are so much fun to play with and go to school with. Her daddy even said soon there will be more she will meet that they were just in treatment so she’ll meet them later. Tomu-chan said that his little brother should be out soon and he’ll be very excited to see her. Apparently they used to be close. She can’t really remember that though.
Though that doesn't matter much because today Himi-nii said that she and daddy have a surprise for her after dinner! She could hardly contain her excitement at dinner. She kept whining at Daddy to hurry up but of course that only made him chuckle and feed her slower. “Now don’t pout at me sweetpea, I wouldn't want my baby to get a tummy ache.” The man cooed teasingly. Soon enough dinner was finally over after what felt like hours, it was thirty minutes, and she was being carried back to her room. She was placed on her playmate and told to wait with Himiko while daddy went and got her present.
As Twice walked down the halls to the elevator he thought about how much progress his youngest daughter had made. Since coming home the girl hasn't fought or resisted even once she was their perfect little girl. While the treatment had been a bit harsh it was a necessary evil to get his princess to be happy and obedient.
She was so docile they even removed her collar though it had revealed a terrible accident. Sometime in the duration of her stay in the isolation ward her collar had malfunctioned. The electro shock mechanisms had failed and were discharging exorbitant amounts of voltage instead of what was only supposed to be a mild shock. It had left a line of lichtenberg scarring around her neck. They were devastated when they found out what had happened. They had basically tortured the poor girl without meaning to. They had to replace all of the kids' collars in case theirs failed too not to mention what Shigaraki did to the inventor of the faulty item… The wasn't much to clean up after he was done with him. They had to scrap the gift he and Himiko were planning on giving Ochaco for her good behavior. It had been a delicate gold chain with a gold heart shaped tracking pendant. It didn't cover the scars. They hurt too much to look at as it was their mistake that put them there. So they replaced it with a soft pink choker with a lace border and the same heart pendant from the original gift.
His daughter has been through a lot in her recovery. He hopes meeting with her new guard won't cause any regression to her progress. Meeting the rest of the league and the kids hadn’t had any affect on her memory. So as long Tenya keeps his mouth shut it should be fine. When the doors to the elevator opened there stood the boy. Huh at five o'clock on the dot well he couldn't say the brat wasn't punctual.
“You ready kid? Fuck up and your out!” The man spoke sternly as the boy walked into the elevator.
“Yes sir.” The boy dutifully.
“Alright. Now I don’t have to remind you what will happen if you mess with any of my little girls training do I? You won't ever see her again!”
“No sir, I will do my best to guard Ochaco and remain completely processional. Any personal feeling with no interfere with my duties.” Tenya responded stoically. He could do this. He has to. This was the only way to see his friends.
“Good. Fucking great!”
As the door opened he could feel his heart pounding in his chest. This is it Tenya was going to be reunited with one of his best friends after almost a year of being separated. He didn’t expect to be quite so horrified.
“You got me a new friend!” Ochaco squealed, eyes glittering as she looked at the new boy. He was tall with dark blue hair and glasses. He was wearing a cute collar similar to hers that said his name was Tenya. Something about that name felt familiar.
“He’s your new guard honey. Hehe or guard dog like Shiggy said! He’s going to be watching over you now. All day everyday! When you want to wander the mansion or go play with your cousins he will be by your side protecting you. More like watching you like a hawk! Do you want to say hi?”
“Yes! Yes! Yes!” Ochaco responded, jumping up and down giggling before running over to Iida.
“Hi my name is Ochaco Bubaigawara! But you can call me Ochaco since my last name is soooo long! It's so nice to meet you! We don’t get many new people here. I hope we can become best friends!” The girl spoke cheerfully, eyes focused on him but not recognizing the boy.
“Hello my name is Tenya Iida. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.” Tenya lowered himself into a bow. He had to fight his emotions to keep his voice steady and the horrified expression off his face.
She didn't remember him?!
Why didn't she remember?
What did they do?
He let this happen. While he was off training with these monsters they did this to his friend. Where is the headstrong girl who fought Bakugo until she couldn't stand. Why was she acting like a meek docile pet looking up at its master for affection?
“I am at your service, your wish is my command.” He said bowing and extending his hand out to hers.
“I order you to be my friend!” Ochaco giggled as she put his hand in hers.
“As you wish, my princess” Tenya answered, face stoic despite the internal battle going through his head.
I won’t stand for this. I’ll get you out of here and I’ll fix what they have done. I promise I'll save you. I won't leave you here alone, not ever again. I'm so sorry I couldn't have been there for you sooner.

I do pride myself in finding interesting ways to give Himiko a better life in each of my AUs, mostly by pairing her up with a responsible adult(s) who actually like her for who she is. Just thought of the funniest one yet:
Aiba Manami leaves her apartment for the first time in months to do some shopping, and accidentally brings him an entire preteen/teenager.

Strawhats with Himiko Toga!reader.
-You remember being an outcast as a child, not only by your peers, but your parents, the ones that were supposed to love you no matter what, because you liked to see the blood of others, thinking it was beautiful.
-When you ate a Devil Fruit, not knowing what it was because it looked like a blood red apple, and your ability came into light, you were ostracized even more, chased from your home, called and treated as a monster.
-You cried as the sky poured down upon your village, the rain washing away the blood of your parents after they attacked you, telling you to be normal, and your powers lashed out, killing not only them but everyone else in your village.
-You hadn’t meant to kill them, you just wanted them to stop hurting you, you wanted them to be proud of you and love you, like how you saw other parents treating their own kids. You were such a pitiful child, just wanting someone to love you.
-Years passed and you honed your skills, discovering you could take on the form of those whose blood you ingested, for a short while, and if those people had Devil Fruit abilities and you had the basic idea of how they worked, you could mimic those as well.
-This made you very dangerous, as you had become a pirate, as you were constantly treated like a villain, so you became one, and if any were to accuse you of being a monster, you would just smile brightly, showing off your fangs, “But you’re the ones who made me like this!”
-Everything changed when you met the strangest person, a young man wearing a straw hat, who had seen you fighting against the marines on the same island he and his crew had been on and you were thrown off when he caught you after you were thrown off a building and he beamed brightly at you, “So cool! You have fangs!!”
-You had never had someone tell you that your fangs, the results of your Devil Fruit, looked anything other than evil or monstrous before and when he asked you to join his crew, you immediately agreed.
-Other members of his crew were very comically afraid of you, like Usopp and Chopped, showing you their crosses and holding garlic up to you, as you were known as Devil Vampire Y/N, but you just laughed at them before taking the garlic and handed it to Sanji, who was fawning over you, and you asked for something made with garlic.
-Robin felt a kinship with you, as you had both been called monsters and were raised as such, but you were bright and bubbly, trying not to let anything get you down but there was something about you, telling her that you weren’t to be underestimated.
-You adored Brook, your eyes bright and sparkly when you first met him, as you loved creepy things like skeletons, but when he talked, sang, and played the violin as well as cracking jokes, you immediately glued yourself to him, adoring him.
-Nami had to rescue you, leaving a lump on Brook’s head when he asked to see your panties, and she warned you about the perverts on the crew. Nami was friendly to you, being almost like the big sister you never had but always wanted and she loved to drag you out shopping, something you always hated doing because you were never welcome anywhere.
-Franky was so nice to you, saying that your fangs and abilities, once he had seen them, were SUPER!!! He had never met anyone like you before and he appreciate you hanging around him because you were curious about his work, asking him all sorts of questions about the machines he was making.
-Luffy was self-explanatory, wanting to know more about your skills and while some were against it, you bit Luffy, taking just a tiny bit of blood and you transformed into him, being able to mimic him exactly including being able to stretch your body. This had led to some shenanigans with the rest of the crew, pulling pranks.
-These pranks are what got Usopp and Chopper into trusting you, as you were easily able to make them laugh after you and Luffy, using your own ability, went and asked Sanji for meat, acting identical. Sanji was furious because he couldn’t give either of you lumps because he didn’t want to risk hurting you.
-Sanji was so sweet with you, not at all bothered by your blood related ability, saying that it was just another part of you that made you the beautiful Y/N he knows and loves. His words meant more to you than anything as they made you truly happy.
-Jinbei was a bit thrown off by your enthusiasm, as not many humans were all that willing to meet with a fishman, let alone sit in his lap and ask him a ton of questions about the ocean, since you were one of the many ‘hammers’ in the world, due to your Devil Fruit.
-Zoro was the only holdout, like normal, not trusting you, thinking you were dangerous and he didn’t even hesitate to threaten you if you were to hurt any of the others on the crew, right before Sanji and Nami left lumps on his head for threatening you.
-You proved yourself to Zoro after using your abilities, creating a whip made out of blood, to catch Chopper and Nami after they were thrown from the ship in rough waters before taking a hit for them after you pulled them back onto the ship. That night, after your crew’s victory and after everyone was patched up, Zoro was the one who handed you the first mug of ale.
-You loved your crew, your family, calling them as such, calling them all by either big bro or big sis, as they were your solstice, your safe space, they treated you like Y/N- like a person, rather than a monster and they all fiercely defended you if anyone was to call you by such cruel titles.
-By joining the Straw Hat Crew your bounty went up, something you enjoyed as your crew insisted on a celebration for it, which made you laugh, but you never said no, especially since you were finally over one hundred million!

The perfect big sister! <3
Ft. my "Toga Himiko is a Bonesaw" take under the cut:
I'm not very familiar with the superhero genre beyond Worm and MHA, so I might be missing a pre-existing trope - but I think these two share an archetype: Little Girl Villain who juxtaposes extremely gory, visceral acts with a happy and innocent demeanour. Their villain personas epitomise idealised archetypes of girlhood; frilly-dress-and-tea-party '50s little-girl for Bonesaw, and lovesick tween schoolgirl for Toga. These archetypes are anchored to a specific age - the age they were when they lost the chance at a civilian life.
On that note, neither of them got much choice in life, with Toga branded a villain for her Quirk and Bonesaw groomed into villainy by Jack. They both lost their families, and seek a surrogate family in their villain group, whose goal is (ostensibly) mindless destruction.
Is it any wonder that they're frozen in stasis at the age when they were traumatized? I find it interesting that they're both older than their archetypes (Bonesaw, at 12, is pretty much the age of Toga's archetype!) but are unable to move past these personas.

todoroki twin swap au where twins Touya and Fuyumi were seperated right from birth after Enji and Rei got a divorce. Years later, Dabi is still an established villain where the whole LoV sees Rei as their Mother FigureTM. Fuyumi is the only daughter of pro hero Endeavor and is very annoyed about all the media running after her all in an attempt to get info about her father.
The twins meet again behind a walmart. Dabi is very pissed because their resident bird spy has been extra annoying pretty that week and his poor heart needs a break. Hence, the big bad villain is hiding in the parking lot of a walmart. There, he sees a random lady who's car has broken down, cursing so hard that even sailors would blush. He was about to look away and pretend he didn't see anything when eyes exactly like his mother is suddenly gazing at him. Oh fuck. Is the psychotic lady his female doppelganger or something? Dabi can now proudly say that even as a woman, he looks hot.
Fuyumi smacked the random creep that kinda looks like a version of his dad if he didn't eat for 2 weeks straight. And also the eyes. No one has those turquoise eyes anywhere. The two officially meet each other when they're sitting side by side eating a mcdonads sundae scone, covered in cuts and bruises. Unofficially, they met each other by fist fighting in a parking lot after Dabi insulted Fuyumi's hair color.
Anyways, random shenanigans where they switch places because it seems like fun. Fuyumi is trying to desperately get Enji and Rei back together while Dabi is doing everything in his power to make Enji forget about his mom. By matchmaking him with Hawks. (the bird says he has a thing for blue eyes. maybe they the old man and hawks can work out after all? - said dabi, the most oblivious man to exist). Fuyumi spents her entire time with the League like an extended vacation where she finally gets a break from life and absolutely crushing the most dangerous villain at mario cart. Satisfaction has never tasted sweeter.
idk how its gonna end but here's a random list of their shenanigans:
Dabi using enji's credit card to buy all the things he ever wanted in life. The old man is missing years of child support anyways. Enji is just confused why Fuyumi would need the perfume to attract birds that is being credited to his account. Maybe she's into birdwatching these days?
Fuyumi meets Rumi in the street and completely forgot about the fact that she's currently dressed as her A rank villain twin, leading to her being pinned by the rabbit hero to the wall - muscled arms choking her. Strangely, all it manages to do is make Fuyumi discover a new kink.
Hawks meets Dabi while he's dressed as Fuyumi and is immediately confused why his bird instincts are going haywire. Yes, she kinda looks like that one villain he's been simping for for months but he's a loyal bird. Why is he suddenly crushing on Endeavor's daughter? He doesn't even like girls?!?!
Fuyumi adopting Toga as her new little sister. She never had a younger sibling before, and the image of Toga with her blood splattered adorably on one side of her cheek as she recounts her new crush on the brown haired hero student is just adorable. This is hers now. Touya can go die in a ditch somewhere as long as Fuyumi gets to keep Himiko.

Agere List
To me Carer/Regressor dynamics are different than your typical Romantic/Platonic/Familial type of realationships, so I've decided to make a separate list for F/Os who are my Caregivers, or who I Caregive for.
This is very different from a headcanon list of characters who I think are Caregivers/Regressors, this is characters I personally have this relationship with. I am also only a Caregiver in a Fictional space, and cannot CG a real regressor in the real world.

Amnesia!Dabi: Twice
Ok, so. This entered my head and will not leave, so. Tell me how likely this seems, I guess.
One of the things I genuinely love about canon MHA is Himiko and Twice’s relationship. How supportive they are of each other, and how they stick together. They are just … weirdly wholesome? Very big brother, little sister? In CC, they won’t have this relationship of course (and I mourn quietly), but seeing it potentially die in Amnesia!Dabi made me sad, so. Anyway.
The Touya Is Alive Thing is public. The Toga’s interview has gone live. U.A. is suing them in court. Magne took off. Things are going … poorly, for the League of Villains. Shig is doing REAL bad right now. Spinner and Kurogiri are doing their best to help him, but they know the only thing that will really help … well. It’s not exactly an OPTION right now (though it doesn’t stop Spinner from imagining shooting AfO in the head, or Kurogiri from wishing he would). And Twice. Twice is doing REAL BAD.
He’s conflicted. Uncertain. All the regular shit. But worse than that … So, Twice’s Quirk. That’s the big gun that the LoV has right now. Or it would be, if Jin could use it properly. And, like, none of the LoV are blaming him, they know this shit is hard for him. They’re cool helping him work his shit out.
AfO is not.
He might be in prison, but, well, we all know that isn’t actually that effective. He manages a contact. A quick one. It’s all it takes.
A week later, Himiko is walking back to the Todoroki house with Fuyumi. They were having a “girls day”, trying to distract from the legal shit show that Himiko is stuck in. They met up with some of Shoto’s classmates, and it wasn’t even as awkward as it could have been. Himiko is feeling … not great, but not bad. She’s optimistic. Maybe we’ll get through this-
There’s commotion. Noise. Natsuo sounds panicked, and his boyfriend doesn’t sound much better. The girls exchange glances, and hurry up to the house … and Himiko can’t breathe.
There’s so much blood.
She’s moving before she really thinks about it. Knife out, poking holes in a new shirt (which one, doesn’t matter), making a makeshift mask. She’s shaking, but her hands are steady as she puts it over Jin’s head. As always, it calms him. Let’s Yosuke and Natsuo get to work on the frankly staggering number of injuries he has (how did he get here? how did he even know where to go? how is he not dead??). Himiko can only sit there, holding his hand, while Fuyumi frantically calls Endeavour, emergency services, Dabi/Toya, SOMEONE. Then she realizes Jin is talking. Mumbling.
“-real, I’m the real one, real one, the real one, I’m real, I’m real-”
He’s scratching at his arms. Twitching. It’s takes Himiko a minute to realize what he’s trying - and failing - to do.
Twice can’t use his Quirk anymore.
It was stolen.
(In a hideout, Spinner stomps out of Jin’s room, angry and hurt. Left without even saying GOODBYE, even Magne told them to their FACES she was going.
Shig’s face crumples when he’s told. Compress tenses. Kurogiri is quiet.
He keeps silent, about The blank spot in his memory. About the fact he made a portal recently, but doesn’t remember how or where.
He can only hope he’s wrong.)
(A certain doctor wonders if their security really IS that bad, because this KEEPS HAPPENING-)
-
OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHHOHOHOHOOHHO
YES! YES!!!!!!!
Like on one hand I’m kinda sad that Chaos Children doesn’t have the ‘Himiko sees the LoV as family’ bit. On the other hand, bold of you to assume I won’t work her bonding with the LoV into the plot!
BUT ALSO OOF OUCH MY HEART

My Hero Academia playlist (and why the songs are there)
(pls reblog with further suggestions i wanna add stuff to my playlist because I made this playlist 2 years ago)
Tumblr media
Dirty Little Secret (all american rejects) : idk it originally went with my main oc ship because it was with shouto and they needed to hide it from his dad
Bakugo! (KVMIL) : I mean, duh.
Me and My Broken Heart (Rixton) : I gave this to todoroki. I'm not sure why. for some reason I thought it matched the angsty vibe
Hey, Soul Sister (Train) : Dekuchaco. That's all.
Rude (MAGIC!) : This gave me really big Kirishima vibes when I made it and it still does.
All Star (Smash Mouth) : This is my All Might song. thats it.
Starships (nicki Minaj) : Minaaaa <3
Pound The Alarm (nicki minaj) : This gives me so many... Present mic dj vibes
Bang Bang (K'naan) : This is just so cute and I like using it for any ship I'm thinking of.
Boss Bitch (doja cat) : another Mina song. It's probably in here because it used to wake me up.
Hot 'n Cold (Katy Perry) : purely JUST for the icyhot memes.
Va Va Voom (Nicki minaj) : I think i thought this went with mina when i put it in here? i don't know but i like this song. Could go better with midnight though.
Peach Sign (Kenshi Yonezu) : this is one of the theme songs.
You make me feel... (good) (Cobra Starship) : This song is just such a bop?? soOO GOOD? and it was one of my dance team songs at the time. It's just a good, sfw kind of ship song? but can really be used for found family too? I think?
Uraraka (GameboyJones) : OBVIOUSLY I HAVE TASTE
The Red Means I love you (Madds Buckley) : this song was made about Himiko Toga, and i love it
Class 1-A (Rustage) : This seems obvious
A World Alone (Lorde) : i put it in here for my oc, honestly <3
Get Him Back! (olivia Rodrigo) : I have no idea whY, but it reminded me of hitoshi?
Sora ni Utaeba (amazarashi) : it's one of the theme songs
Here with me (d4vd) : made me sad and reminded me a little of the empty oboro-shaped hole in Mic and Aizawa's friend group
Everybody Talks (Neon Trees) : Gives me denki vibes honestly
Good old fashioned loverboy (queen) : ERASERMIC!!!! gay.
Dear Future husband (meghan Trainor) : no idea why it's in here, take your best guess.
Still into you (paramore) : ERASERMIC!
Moves Like Jagger (maroon 5) : Present mic. thats it.
Don't Threaten me with a good time (Panic!) : I think this is in here because of Mic, but I'm not sure.
Sweater Weather (The Neighborhood) : bisexual anthem... it's just the vibe
Airplanes (B.o.B) : the memes, but also because I just like this song. and it fits with the rest of the playlist vibes
The Record player Song (Daisy the Great) : This song was more attributable to one of my ocs, Sairento
Prom Queen (Beach Bunny) : I related this to Sairento but also to Ochako

AU in which Himiko Toga is found and adopted into the Bakugo household, a seven year old Katsuki gets a younger six year old sister and his latent protective instincts awaken as he has a little sister to protect. Inko is a quirk therapist and analyst, so she is brought in as a favor to help the newly adopted Bakugo Himiko deal with her Quirk.
Katsuki is a year older than in canon whereas Izuku and Himiko are the same age, when Izuku and Himiko take the exam Katsuki is already a second year student.
This is such a cute idea.
- most would be forgiven for thinking that Mitsuki Bakugou was only a hard ass, but that was frankly untrue.
- but all that speculation went to the wind whenever kids were thrown into the equation.
- her heart practically broke when she found a little girl who was cast out because of her quirk.
- so of course she takes her in, she had always wanted a daughter.
- Katsuki fills the big brother role perfectly.
- and Mitsuki's best friend Inko is able to help Himiko with her quirk and introduces her to the woman's son Izuku.
- and the two become best friends instantly, they are practically attached to the hip.
- over the years the two kids wish to become heroes and supports each other.
- Himiko and Katsuki both model their parents clothing lines over the years, and on occasion Himiko can convince Izuku to join in as well.
- and when Izuku's quirk finally comes in the two are happy that they'll at least have one friend when starting UA.
- Izuku and Katsuki have a better relationship since they weren't childhood friends, and Katsuki see's him as a honorary lil brother since he's besties with his sister.

Ochako is pretty hardcore actually???? Like, i love that she is bubbly and kind but any moment she just goes head first into something are even better imo. I think that's why Toga set her sights on her, bc they also both kinda unhinged
Tsuyu goes so well with her too bc she is so grounded, which is what took her understanding Ochako's change of how she views Toga sooner, i think
(Okay, I knew for a fact I talked about Tsuyu before. Here & here!)
Other than the whole "this girl is cute and she just laid me out on my ass like a badass", initially, I do remember Himiko being interested in Ochako because she "has the same scent", that she likes someone.
And with Tsuyu, I feel like she shouldn't be so overlooked by the fandom when it comes to Himiko and Ochaco.
Tsuyu is the voice of reason at times, she's blunt, level-headed. Hell, if it wasn't for her, Izuku's ass would have taken even longer to get back to UA.
I find she's a lot more important to the whole Ochaco and Himiko issue because SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE. The one time she wasn't around Ochaco and Himiko is when Himiko was disguised as Camie. Other than that, when those two come together, TSUYU IS THERE.
She was there in the beginning, there during the Paranormal Liberation War Arc, and even now in the current arc, she is there. I find her just as important as Ochaco is here. Of course, the story is going to focus more on Ochaco because she is the main girl. But I doubt Horikoshi just adds Tsuyu's presence there just because.
Here's a trait of Tsuyu I just thought of that mirrors Himiko.
One thing Tsuyu has that Himiko doesn't?
A good relationship with her siblings.
That's a trait I don't see a lot of people mention about Himiko. She has siblings. Now granted, Himiko doesn't mention them nearly at all. But it makes sense given her history.
Tsuyu, on the other hand, brings up hers and you know they have a good relationship because how she brings them up. Complimented Eri, saying "you remind me of my little sister". Something I relate to since I am a big sister.
Now it's a small detail and I'm just rambling, but I find it interesting that now one, but two characters that are involved in Himiko's story have something she doesn't when it comes to family.
Ochako has a good relationship with her parents and Tsuyu has a good relationship with her siblings. Both girls would know what actual love, in general, feels like because of this.
Again, just rambling, wanted to throw that in there.

Full text of the piece below the cut!
Chisaki Kai examines Toga Himiko’s prone, sleeping form in the rearview mirror. Her hair is undone, falling over her face and the folded towel she’s using in lieu of a pillow in messy, choppy strands, the color only somewhat visible in the darkness of the backseat. Her normal clothing is in a basket in the trunk of the ‘limo’ (not really a limousine, just a van that Hari rearranged the insides of), and instead she wears a black t-shirt two sizes too big for her and gray sweatpants that pool around her folded legs and bare feet, spare clothes that Kai keeps for himself and his men in the back of the trunk when their usual ones get too dirty for the inside of the car. Kai will have to wash out the numerous bloodstains out of her uniform later tonight. The small glimpses of her face that he can catch when the streetlights shine in at just the right angle are peaceful.
He brings his eyes back to the road. It’s nighttime now. Dark and quiet, his favorite time of the day, when the only lights are the streetlights and the only sounds the hum of the car. He wonders if anybody’s found the carnage he and Toga left at that rival gang’s base. He wonders if the ensuing investigation will turn up evidence that there’s not as much blood as there should be. That some of it was vomited up behind the house in the bushes.
Probably not, to any of those questions. He’d chosen that base specifically because it was out of the way, and those people specifically because they wouldn’t be missed.
He pulls into the base’s garage quietly and slowly. Hari’s waiting for them inside, in a hoodie and t-shirt that Kai is eighty percent sure came from his own closet, and ducks his head into the driver’s window as Kai rolls it down.
“How’s the kid?” he asks.
“Asleep right now. She overate during the raid, had to throw up. I imagine this is the first time she’s gotten to eat enough in a long, long time.”
“I can see it,” Hari murmurs, and then opens the door and picks up Toga’s sleeping form. “We’ve got a spare room prepared with blankets, so no one should bother her. Except for Twice. He’s been asking where she is for the past hour.”
Toga shifts in his arms, but doesn’t wake.
“Twice will be difficult to deal with,” Kai agrees. “I’ll go ahead and deal with him while you carry her to her room?”
“Sounds good to me.”
Once they reenter the base, the peaceful moment will end, and Kai will find himself subjected to all the inconsistencies and irrationalities and injustices of the world once again, and so will Toga once she wakes up. Once they reenter the base, Kai will return to being Overhaul, yet again trying to bury the wounded child that screamed so strongly as it heard the tales of Toga’s hunger and pain. Once they reenter the base, Toga may well return to hating him again for the death of her “big sister” Magne.
“Let’s go, then,” Kai murmurs. “We shouldn’t keep the other Expendables waiting too long.”

Au where toga and izuku are siblings
Himiko is a year older than Izuku. At first they're as close as can be to each other, and to Bakugo. Izuku was a Hero buff while she always liked spooky stuff.
Then her quirk came in while Izuku's didn't. She was filled with urges she couldn't fully control, despite Inko's best efforts. Inko tried to get their doctor's advice, but for some reason Doctor Tsubasa's suggestions weren't helping as well as she'd hoped. However, I should stress that she genuinely loves Himiko, and vice versa. Himiko faced discrimination at Aldera for having a "Villain's Quirk" since Aldera really sucks.
Izuku meanwhile faced discrimination like in canon. Both supported each other, at first. However, soon a bit of a rift developed. Himiko envied Izuku for not having a quirk like hers, he envied her for having a quirk at all, one that he could think of twenty different ways to be a Hero with it. No arguments, just an uncomfortable silence develops.
When Himiko's about to graduate, she stabs Bakugo. 1. He'd gotten bloody in a fight, 2. She did think he was attractive, minus the personality. 3. He bullied her brother. All perfectly good reasons to stab him. She then went on the run. Izuku ditched school to follow her, but she was more athletic than him and escaped.
Bakugo is healed soon enough, and his treatment of Izuku seems even harsher. When Izuku is offered OFA, he tells AM of his sister and feels unworthy since he believes he failed her. AM though convinces him to channel his guilt into saving her as a Pro Hero.
Himiko is not a full-on serial killer. She wants to be, but every time she flashes to Izuku's horrified face and just can't do it. She'll attack people, but not kill them. She initially joins the LoV in order to make sure their next attack doesn't hurt Izuku.
After Kamino, she feels forced to stay with them. She's planning on sticking with them, unless they try and kill Izuku that is. Then she meets Eri, and her big sister instinct instantly awakens.

Unknown: God damnit, Shitty Hair! You left my fucking window open and Queenie got out!
Todoroki Touya stares down at his phone with a confused frown in place, brows pinched together and his fingers hesitating over the screen.
He looks around the back of the dressing room at the rest of his band.
Himiko Toga, their bassist, has her headphones on as she scrolls through her phone, blonde hair already up in her usual spiky side buns, cat-like eyeliner in place around her golden eyes; all ready for the performance coming up.
Hikiishi Magne, their drummer, sits next to Himiko, her large, muscular frame swarming the petite blonde next to her. Magne’s red hair is loose around her face, falling to her chin as she reads something on her phone, pushing up the triangular sunglasses on over her dark brown eyes.
One of their guitarists, Sako Atsuhiro, is quietly sitting on the floor while his soft brown eyes diligently scan over the setlist for the umpteenth time; his cropped brown hair already adorned with his usual top hat, which matches his three piece vest suit.
Shimura Tenko, their pianist, is holding his phone up for a selfie; pierced tongue out, peace-sign up with his free hand, head tilted to show off the scars over his right eye and across both lips, one wine red eye closed in a wink, his wavy pale blue hair falling loosely around his shoulders.
Touya sighs and looks down at his phone again. He has the set list memorized—it’s been the same for the past three weeks of their headliner tour and he doesn’t feel the need to go over it again.
With nothing else to do, he shrugs to himself and leans further back against the velvety armchair he’s been lazily sprawled across for the past half hour.
Touya: Who is this?
Unknown: It’s Bakugou, you fucking idiot. I lost my goddamned phone, I fucking told you this earlier. Had to get a new number, it was fucking bullshit.
Touya: Wrong number.
Unknown: Fucking… seriously? Damn it. Any chance you have the number of a guy with shitty red hair?
Touya: Uh, no?
Unknown: Worth a shot. Whatever. I’ve got a cat to find.
Touya: Alright, then. Good luck.
Unknown: Whatever.
The door slides open, and the entire band looks up expectantly. Their manager, Aizawa Shouta, stands there, his curly black hair tied back in a messy bun, eyebags on full display as he steps inside with a coffee in hand that clearly isn’t going to cut it.
“LOV, you’re on in ten,” Aizawa says before chugging half of the drink and sighing. “Get your asses out there, problem children.”
“Will do, sensei!” Tenko says with a shit-eating grin.
“Don’t call me that,” Aizawa says as he rubs his temples with his free hand.
“Right, let’s do this, guys!” Himiko says as she jumps to her feet.
They all move quickly and smoothly, with the practice of a band that has been playing together since they were in high school; nearly twelve years now.
Tenko, as their self-proclaimed ‘social media manager’ keeps his phone in his back pocket while the rest of them set theirs down on the vanity counter.
Himiko grabs her beloved, blood red bass guitar, Atsuhiro carefully lifts his sleek black and burnt orange guitar, and Touya swipes up his black guitar, painted with iridescent blue flames.
They all walk together out of the dressing room and head down the wide hallway toward the closed stage doors.
Magne turns to give them all her warmest, most encouraging big sister-esque smile.
“Let’s do our best,” Magne says, eyes sparkling behind her sunglasses.
“We always do, Mags!” Himiko says cheerfully.
Atsuhiro nods sagely. “We will ensure that tonight is—”
Everyone else joins in to finish his phrase, “—Magic for the masses.”
Atsuhiro smiles and Touya snorts, while Toga pushes one of the doors open just enough for the screams of the crowd to flow in. A massive, somewhat maniacal grin breaks out across Touya’s face as the lights dim.
They make their way onto the stage, nothing but silhouettes to the audience. Magne goes to the raised drum platform behind the rest of the band, Himiko and Tenko go to the left, the blue-haired man takes his place at the piano, Atsuhiro stays toward the left and Touya steps up to center stage.
Touya looks around at his friends, getting nods from everyone to confirm they’re all ready to go.
Touya sucks in a breath as he wraps his hand around the microphone, and he feels his bandmate’s energies go up before he even starts shouting.
“I hope you’re fired up, Osaka, because we’re the LOV!”
The stage erupts with music and he starts belting out one of their most popular songs, his smooth baritone coming out with a hint of a growl as he plays his guitar, fingers dancing across the strings.
The light above shines down on him, almost blinding against his snow white hair, reflecting off of the silver piercings lining his ears, his left eyebrow, his lower lip, nose, and dimples.
The v-neck black t-shirt he’s wearing clings to his muscular frame as he plays. It leaves much of his chest and arms on display, letting the audience take in his heavily tattooed form.
Intricate, lace-like mandalas run up both arms, across his chest, up his throat and jaw, covering his lower lip and cheeks; all done in black and a deep plum-purple.
His eyes, lidded and almond shaped, hold vibrant turquoise irises that are practically on fire as he sings; the color nearly glowing in its intensity.
Touya makes his way back to the dressing room with the rest of LOV; all panting, sweating, and high on the adrenaline of another sold out show.
They quickly shower and pull on clean clothes before heading out with a row of security guards, walking past a line of fans screaming for their autographs.
Each member has their metallic permanent markers ready to scribble hasty signatures—Touya’s purple, Himiko’s red, Magne’s silver, Tenko’s gold, and Atsuhiro’s orange.
Touya, as the son of a rather famous CEO, doesn’t use his real name on anything related to the LOV, he simply goes by Dabi, which is fortunately easy to quickly scrawl out as he typically uses the English letters.
As much as he enjoys people knowing how amazing he is, he still doesn’t like crowds. Or people, really. So, he’s relieved when they make it to their tour bus.
“I’m fuckin’ tired,” Touya grouses as he heads straight for his bunk. “Don’t stay up stupid fucking late, you morons.”
He climbs into his claimed cubby bed and pulls the curtain shut. He can’t sleep just yet, he needs to calm his mind, so he tugs out his phone with the intention of reading an e-book, but finds several unread text messages.
Unknown: Fucking found her. I know this ain’t Shitty Hair, but Queenie deserves the recognition. [Image attached].
Touya opens the picture and blinks in shock at the absolutely massive black Maine Coon cat, looking more like a goddamn panther than a housecat. It’s sitting regally on a faded green sofa, it’s red collar shining proudly on its neck, complimenting its orange eyes.
Touya: Holy shit, she’s fucking majestic.
Unknown: I know. Not sure why the fuck you think you need to text me that at fucking midnight. You performing a fucking séance?
Touya: Not a bad idea. But no, I work late.
Unknown: Gross. What the fuck job keeps you up this late?
Touya: I’m in a band.
Unknown: Uh-huh. Cool.
Touya: Yup.
Unknown: Well, I’m gonna block you now. Ain’t interested in texting some brat in a garage band.
Touya: What the fuck? I’m 28, asshole.
Unknown: Good. Felt like a fucking creep for a second there.
Touya: I have no evidence to deny that.
Unknown: Oi, fuck you.
Touya: Hey, you texted me first.
Unknown: Whatever. I kinda like texting someone who doesn’t fucking know me.
Touya: But for all I know, you’re a fucking stalker.
Unknown: Oh no. You caught me. I’m a stalker. Because I love you, Kenji.
Touya has to smack his hand over his mouth to smother his laughter, and he can’t even function enough to text back for several minutes.
Unknown: Oh, shit, is that your actual fucking name?
Touya: No, I just had to take a moment to learn to fucking breathe again.
Unknown: You’re an asshole.
Touya: Takes one to know one.
Unknown: You know what? Fair.
Touya: At least you’re not one of those major assholes who pretends they’re really a nice guy.
Unknown: Those are the absolute fucking worst.
Touya: 100% with you there. Well, I need sleep now. Goodnight, stalker.
Unknown: I hope you suffocate on your own pillow.
Touya snorts softly, shaking his head and scrolling back up to the top of the list for the name the person had given earlier.
Bakugou.
Doesn’t mean anything to him, but he updates the contact name and plugs his phone in for the night.
Touya wakes up the next morning to his alarm, and quickly silences it so it doesn’t wake the whole damn bus. He groans and climbs out of his bunk, finding Aizawa seated in the long sofa that takes up half the living space, sipping a coffee and looking dead on his feet like always.
Aizawa taps one finger on the hotel key cards on the long table. “Take whatever one you want. We’ve been parked for a few hours. They’ve got a good gym, open 24-hours, and you have permission to use the kitchen after hours.”
“Thanks,” Touya says with a grunt as he swipes a random card.
He goes to his bunk and opens the cabinet underneath to withdraw his duffel bag, slinging it over his shoulder. He swipes his phone charger from the little outlet in his bunk shelf, and rushes off the bus.
Tour buses are the worst fucking part of touring.
His phone buzzes in his pocket shortly after he reaches his room and he tugs it out after scanning his key card, checking his messages as he shoulders the room door open.
Bakugou: I need an objective third-person perspective on something for an article I’m writing. So, I figured, why not ask that random unknown asshole.
Touya: Just get on with it.
Bakugou: Do you personally believe people who take the time to focus on their physical health tend to overall have better mental health?
Touya: What the fuck? The brain literally releases hormones that help with emotional stability during exercise. It is literal science.
Bakugou: I write articles online. Science means nothing to these people.
Touya: Sounds like you need a better site to post on.
Bakugou: Shut up. I fucking will eventually. But bills are a fucking thing, and I have to sleep and eat and all that bullshit.
Touya: Sleep is for the dead. Stay up late and use that time to get that shit started.
Bakugou: But sleep…
Touya: You using that as an excuse ‘cause you know you’re shit at writing?
Bakugou: Fuck you, I’m awesome! [Link shared.] Asshole.
Touya follows the link, flopping down onto his bed as he reads the article. The one he’d sent has a lot of shares on social media and it’s well written and factual, but it lacks feeling.
Touya frowns and goes up to the author, Bakugou Katsuki. He pauses briefly at the author photo—a handsome man with wild, spiky pale blonde hair, a fierce scowl on his lips, and red eyes largely obscured by black, thick-rimmed glasses.
He’s cute, and young, maybe twenty years old. Touya shrugs and goes through Bakugou’s other works listed on the Chiba News site.
He loses track of time reading through the posts. Some topics are muted while others are full of passion and clearly show the man’s desire to help others, even if those ones are worded harshly—Touya is actually pretty impressed by them.
He grabs the link to his favorite, one about the healing qualities of rock climbing, and sends it to Bakugou.
Touya: [Link shared.] When you write about shit you actually care about, it’s fucking good, doll. If you want to get that fucking blog going, go for it. If it’s good, I’ll share the fuck out of it.
Bakugou: Doll? Don’t fucking call me that!
Touya: Why not? You’re cute.
Bakugou: Shut the fuck up. If you’re gonna start making fun of me, I’ll fucking block you.
Touya: I suppose ‘cute’ is an objective term, doll. And, objectively speaking, from my third-person gay perspective, you’re cute. Now shut the fuck up and get started on your blog.
Bakugou:…Fuck. That was kinda hot.
Touya: Text me when the blog is up and running.
Bakugou: Ugh, whatever, asshole.
“You’ve been smiling a lot more lately,” Himiko says, nudging Touya’s shoulder with her own.
Touya looks up from where he’d been smiling at his phone screen and scowls at her out of spite.
Tenko and Atsuhiro are still getting dressed for their show and Magne is seated at the vanity nearby, putting on her makeup.
“It’s been nice,” Magne says, giving Touya’s reflection a soft smile.
“Shut the fuck up,” Touya grumbles.
“Who is it?” Himiko questions. “We’re not gonna judge. It’s just you and your friendly neighborhood lesbians here to support you.”
Touya snorts and shakes his head. “It’s just this guy who texted the wrong number.”
“And you didn’t immediately block the guy?” Himiko asks curiously.
“He has no fucking idea who I am,” Touya says. “He just sends me pictures of his cat and tells me random shit about this blog he’s trying to start.”
“What kind of blog?” Magne asks.
“Personal care or some shit,” Touya says with a shrug. “He works for some news company in Chiba, but he’s fucking wasted there. I told him to start up his own blog.”
Himiko and Magne exchange surprised looks and Touya eyes them before groaning loudly. He runs one hand through his hair and drops his phone on his lap.
“Fucking spit it out,” he snaps.
“Nothing!” Himiko says, waving her hands and grinning at him. “Is his blog up yet? Can we read it?”
“He’s still building it, says it’ll be done and his first one posted tonight,” Touya says, sighing.
“Please send it to us when it’s up,” Magne says, eyes sparkling. “I love reading blogs. If this man’s writing has your interest, he must be phenomenal.”
Touya opens his mouth to respond, and then the doors slam open and Tenko walks in, strutting cheerfully with Atsuhiro trailing behind him, looking absolutely done with Tenko’s shit.
“What’s up, my beautiful LOV family?” Tenko chirps. “My beautiful, wonderful, gor—”
“Spit it out, Tenko,” Touya growls.
Tenko laughs excitedly and bounces on the balls of his feet. “So, there’s this cat café downtown that has a Corgi on site…”
Touya is trying his fucking best to ignore the cameras as he and his bandmates leave the cat café, cat-eared headbands on all of their heads—Atsuhiro’s poised atop his hat.
It had admittedly been strangely therapeutic to sit and pet cats while sipping on a hot chocolate, but someone obviously ratted them out, because as soon as they’d stepped outside, the paparazzi swarmed them.
“Please, we just want to get back to our hotel,” Magne says placatingly.
“Yeah, come on, we’ve gotta get ready for our second set here in beautiful Nagoya,” Himiko says, turning the charm level up to eleven.
One of the paparazzi steps forward and grabs Himiko’s arm. She yelps, Tenko squawks furiously, and Touya darts over and grips the man’s wrist in an iron vice as he glares daggers at him.
“Get your filthy fucking hands off,” Touya snarls.
“Oh—oh, I was just…” the man trails off as he releases her, the man’s eyes are wide and panicked, as they should be.
“Go back to whatever fucking sewer you crawled out of,” Touya spits out as he shoves the man’s hand away.
He puts himself between his friends and the rest of the paparazzi as they make their way past, scowling and glaring at anyone who gets too close.
Himiko quickly grasps Magne’s hand and the large woman rubs the blonde’s back soothingly as they speed-walk away from the crowd. Touya flips the leeches off over his shoulder.
“Thank you,” Himiko says quietly as soon as they’re free of the cameras.
Touya grunts angrily. “Fucking assholes should know better than to just grab someone like that.”
“I have alerted Aizawa to the situation,” Atsuhiro says as he continues typing on his phone. “He will likely be unimpressed by the physical force used, but I personally believe it was handled well.”
“You should’ve twisted his arm and left him with a sprain,” Magne says, voice low and furious as she continues holding Himiko close. “That was so messed up, honey.”
“No one has the right to grab you like that,” Tenko says, scowling angrily. “Handsy bastard.”
Himiko sighs and smiles softly. “Thanks, guys.”
“Hey, no one messes with our family,” Tenko says seriously. Touya snorts and Tenko narrows his eyes at the white-haired man. “Hey, you’re our mother, Dabi, you should take this more seriously.”
“The fuck!?” Touya shouts as the rest of their group laughs.
“You make sure we eat our vegetables and tell us to go to sleep on time,” Tenko says, scowl replaced by a shit-eating grin.
“You do yell at us when we get behind on our laundry,” Atsuhiro adds thoughtfully.
“You’re the best mom,” Himiko says with a grin.
Touya wants to shout and curse at them, but he knows that they need this distraction to get past the little incident, so he settles for kicking Tenko in the shin and pulling his phone out of his pocket.
He has a few new messages from his group chat with his younger siblings, which he ignores in favor of opening up his chat with Bakugou.
Bakugou: It’s up and running, asshole! [Link Shared.] Fuck off with that ‘can’t do it’ bullshit.
Touya grins to himself, opening the link and blinking in surprise at the mountaintop photos. They aren’t the greatest shots, but the view is gorgeous.
The article is Bakugou’s introduction, with a little backstory about learning to become a better person, and the contemplative powers of exercise, especially when done outdoors. The blog is well written, full of passion, and Touya doesn’t even realize his expression has gone soft until he feels someone poke his cheek.
He looks up and realizes the band are all staring at him.
“What?” He says, narrowing his eyes.
“Is it the guy?” Himiko asks curiously.
Touya grunts. “First post is up.”
“Oh, send it to me, please!” Magne says.
“I feel like I’m missing something,” Tenko says, eyes bouncing between Touya, Himiko, and Magne.
“What’s new?” Himiko drawls, and Tenko squawks indignantly.
“I would also like to read it,” Atsuhiro says, staring thoughtfully at Touya.
Touya growls lowly and quickly sends the link off to their band group chat. “Fucking fine. I sent it to you assholes.” He goes back to his chat with Bakugou. “Now fuck off, we’re here. Go to your rooms and get ready to fucking go.”
“Yes, mom,” Tenko and Himiko say in unison.
Touya flips them off and veers away from the hotel elevator toward the stairs so he can avoid their stupid, smug faces.
Touya: That’s some good fucking shit there, doll.
Bakugou: Obviously.
Touya: I mean it, it’s really fucking good.
Bakugou:…Thanks. Or whatever.
Touya: Make sure your friend shut your windows so Queenie doesn’t get out again.
Bakugou: Fuck.
Touya: Well?
Bakugou: I may need help hiding a body.
“Thank you, Nagoya!” Touya yells at the end of their third and final set in the city, his voice echoing throughout the stadium. “You’ve been fucking awesome! We’ll see you on our next tour!”
Magne waves before linking arms with Himiko, Tenko turns around to take a selfie with the crowd, Atsuhiro bows, and Touya flashes a killer smirk and flips the crowd off.
It was a good night.
They all shower and change again, gather up the gear that they don’t trust the crew with, and head out to sign some autographs from across the fences, taking selfies with some people.
They all keep close to Himiko as an extra defense, and she is positively glowing with happiness when they finally reach the bus.
“All right, go the fuck to sleep,” Touya says as he makes his way to his bunk. “If I hear you assholes out here talking for the next hour, I’m going to punch Tenko.”
“Hey!” Tenko yells.
“I thought you wanted us to sleep, why’re you motivating us to be loud?” Himiko questions, winking teasingly at the blue-haired man.
“I hate all of you,” Tenko grumbles.
Touya snorts as he climbs into his bed. He tugs his ‘privacy’ curtain shut and retrieves his phone.
Bakugou: Fuck, my blog is going fucking crazy! It’s only been two days and I have thousands of subscribers! What the fuck!
Touya: It’s good fucking writing.
Bakugou: Fucking LOV shared it. What the actual fuck!
Touya: Yeah, I told them to read it.
Bakugou: Hold on a fucking minute You know the fucking LOV?
Touya snorts out loud, and then tells Tenko to fuck off when he asks what’s wrong.
Touya: Yup.
Bakugou: Fuck… That’s actually fucking cool.
Touya: You a fan?
Bakugou: One of my favorite bands. Shitty Hair and I go to their Tokyo concert every year.
A weird, bubbling feeling makes its way through Touya’s innards and it takes a moment for him to respond.
Touya: So, you’ll be at one of them this year?
Bakugou: Saturday night show, the tour-ending one. Dabi does this thing where he throws his shirt out into the crowd at the end and I fucking caught it two years ago. He’s hot as fuck.
Touya can feel heat rising in his cheeks and he sets his phone down so he can scrub over his face to attempt to force away the weird feelings that message brought up. His phone buzzes a couple more times and he takes a moment to compose himself before picking it back up.
Bakugou: It’s a little tight on me now, but it’s fucking soft. [Image attached.]
Touya opens the attachment and his jaw drops as he takes in the man in the picture.
It’s definitely the same blonde-haired, red-eyed man from the Chiba News website, but he’s smirking at the camera and there are no lenses obscuring his high cheekbones or dimming the color of his irises, which are nearly flaming in their intensity.
The image is angled to show his black v-neck—Touya’s shirt—which is so tight on the man it’s practically painted on over his plush pecs, molding to the dips and curves of a defined six pack, and pulled tight over the swell of his shoulders and biceps.
Touya drops his phone on his face.
“Himiko!” He yells as he rips his privacy screen open, tearing the already abused fabric further.
“Whoa, what’s up, Touy?” Himiko asks as he half-falls to the floor.
“I fucking… I can’t…” he shakes his head and rushes over to the sofa, shoving his phone into her hands before falling onto his ass. He covers his face with his hands and groans loudly.
“Holy shit,” Himiko says.
“Lemme see!” Tenko yells as he scoots closer. “Holy fuck! He’s hot! Wait, Touya, you good, man?”
“I believe he’s gay panicking,” Atsuhiro says.
Magne moves from the couch and crouches at his side, wrapping one arm around him and gently rubbing his arm.
“You’ll get through this, honey,” Magne says softly.
“Oh! He’ll be at our concert on Saturday!” Tenko says.
“We could give him VIP passes,” Himiko says with a shrug. “Then you could meet him in person after the show.”
“Fuck no,” Touya says, looking up abruptly and nearly smacking Magne in the chin. “He doesn’t even fucking know it’s me he’s been talking to.”
“But you know he has a crush on you,” Tenko points out.
Touya pushes off the floor and swipes his phone from the blue-haired man. He frowns down at the text chat, which Tenko and Himiko had been casually scrolling through.
“No, he’s got a crush on a fucking rockstar, not me,” Touya grumbles.
Another message comes through and the chat auto-adjusts so he can see the latest message.
Bakugou: I know I’m intimidating, but I ain’t gonna bite.
Touya: Shut up, I was just wondering how you have time to write when you must live in a fucking gym.
Bakugou: It’s called being dedicated.
Touya: Just not to your blog.
Bakugou: Fuck off. It’s up now, isn’t it?
Touya: Sure is, doll.
Bakugou: Stop fucking calling me that.
Touya: Pfft, not gonna happen. Well, it’s past your bedtime.
Bakugou: Ugh, I hate you.
Touya: Night, doll.
Bakugou: Whatever. Night, mystery asshole.
Touya is awake and dressed shortly before the bus pulls into their hotel in downtown Tokyo; not the fanciest place as that would draw too much attention, but one with a decent gym.
He has on black jeans, a plain black t-shirt, black sunglasses, and a black cap when he hops off the bus with his duffel slung over his shoulder. He spots Aizawa’s car pulling in and walks over to wait for the man.
Aizawa steps out and blinks at him. “Something wrong, kid?”
“Just really need the gym,” Touya says.
“Alright,” the older man says with a sigh. “Come on.”
Touya nods and follows the man in. The front desk attendant is an average sized man with hulking muscles and bright red hair spiked up tall. He has wide, almond shaped eyes and crimson irises. When he spots them, he flashes them a grin that shows off filed teeth.
“Reservations?” He asks, voice deep, but somehow bubbly and light.
“Yes, under Aizawa,” the man says, giving the redhead a critical look.
His eyes widen slightly, and he nods and starts typing on his phone. “Right.” His eyes flick up to Touya for a moment and he purses his lips. “LOV, huh?”
Touya crosses his arms. “What of it?”
“I assume there won’t be an issue with the press showing up, correct?” Aizawa asks, leveling the man with an intense stare.
“Nah, don’t worry about that, man,” the redhead says, waving nonchalantly.
He grabs a few key cards and scans them into the computer, and then holds one out to Touya and the rest in a stack to Aizawa.
“Thank you,” Aizawa says tersely as he walks off toward the doors to head back to the bus.
Touya turns toward  the elevator, but the chatty redhead apparently has other plans. “You’re Dabi, right? The singer?”
Touya tenses and slowly turns back around. “You want a fucking autograph or something?”
“Oh, definitely,” the man says with a smirk. “Especially after that incident outside the cat café, your autograph is worth a ton right now. Girls and guys swooning over the knight rescuing the damsel.”
Himiko isn’t a fucking damsel,” Touya snaps. “Those assholes are all trained in self-defense. I made damn sure of that.”
The guy blinks in surprise and cocks his head. “Wow, that’s really manly. Anyway, can I get an autograph to sell online?”
“Whatever,” Touya grouses as he walks back to the desk.
“I’m Kirishima Eijirou, by the way,” he says as he pushes a blank piece of paper and a pen toward him.
Touya hesitates for a moment and then grabs it, signing Dabi, as well as the kanji underneath.
“Worth more with both,” Touya says.
“Hang on,” Kirishima says. “Could you sign… one more thing?”
Touya frowns. “Why?”
“My friend and I are going to your show on Saturday,” Kirishima says, and Touya nods. “He’s a huge fan, but we can’t afford VIP tickets, but an autograph would really make his day.”
Touya’s contemplative silence must’ve come off as hostility, because the guy’s nervousness quickly turns into irritation. “Look, you don’t have to be a jerk about it. Bakugou’s a good guy, he shouldn’t be pining after some asshole celeb anyway.”
Touya’s eyes widen, and he is very thankful for his sunglasses. He grunts and pulls out his phone, bringing up his very short text conversation with Aizawa.
“The fuck did you say your name was?” Touya questions.
“Um, Kirishima Eijirou,” he says, a little uncertainly. “Don’t tell me you’re gonna try to get me fired, man?”
“I’m giving you and your fucking friend VIP passes,” Touya says. “The fuck is the guy’s name?”
“Bakugou Katsuki,” he says, face lighting up. “Sorry for calling you an asshole and stuff.”
“It’s fucking accurate,” Touya says with a shrug. “You got an email for me to send this shit to?”
It takes forever for Saturday to come, and it simultaneously comes too quickly.
Touya’s bandmates had congratulated him on giving out the VIP tickets. He’s never given tickets to anyone before, not even his siblings. Aizawa seemed weirdly pleased by the gesture, and had given Touya an approving nod after he’d requested them.
Bakugou had freaked out and blown Touya’s phone up when Kirishima told him the news. They’d been texting as usual over the past few days, with Bakugou sending his latest blog posts as soon as they’re up, sending him pictures of Queenie multiple times a day, and both of them talking about random shit.
They’d gotten into an hour-long debate about the best mountain ranges to climb, Touya insisted Mount Nantai has the best view, and Bakugou couldn’t refute it because he hasn’t climbed there before, and that had the blonde raging while Touya felt smug.
But, on Saturday, Touya is all nerves, and Bakugou texting him pictures of himself in various outfits is not helping his anxiety any.
Kirishima is there, helping to take the photos, wearing a horrifically bright blue and white top, khaki shorts, and bright red Crocs.
Touya informed him he thought as much, and the redhead had abruptly stolen Bakugou’s phone.
Bakugou: Excuse you, I look amazing.
Touya: Your fashion sense is fucking atrocious.
Bakugou: Yeah, I’m sure you always look amazing, ‘Mystery Man.’ Have you guys seriously been talking for almost a month without him knowing your name?
Touya: I’ll tell him later.
Bakugou: Fucking Shitty Hair waited until I was fucking laughing over his shitty outfit to take my phone. I don’t know why I go places with him. Are you seriously gonna tell me your name?
Touya: Soon.
Bakugou: Ominous.
Touya: Just call me Kenji.
Bakugou: Fucking hell, I forgot about that.
A knock on Touya’s door pulls his attention away, and he quickly shoves his phone into his pocket and crosses his room, swiping his duffel up off his bed as he goes. He pulls it open, not surprised at all to find Tenko.
“C’mon, man, time to go!” Tenko says, his own gear over his shoulder. Touya huffs and steps out, tugging the door shut behind himself. “Man, I miss my bed.”
Touya groans. “Yes, the fucking bus always fucks up my back.”
“Seriously,” Tenko says as he stretches his shoulders out. “And I miss Keigo. He’s gonna stay up until I get home tonight. Er, well, tomorrow morning, I guess.”
“No wonder he always needs makeup to cover his eyebags,” Touya says with a snort.
“Hey, his eyebags are beautiful and I love them, even when they’re not hidden behind his eyeliner art,” Tenko says with a chuckle.
“Gross,” Touya says as they get onto the elevator.
Tenko just shrugs. “Hey, you get to meet your texting friend after the concert, right?”
“Yup,” Touya says plainly.
“You nervous?” Tenko asks; half-teasing, half-seriously curious.
“Oi, fuck off, I’m never nervous,” Touya bites out.
“I’m sure it’ll be fine,” Tenko says.
Touya grumbles to himself, and tunes Tenko out as they make their way through the lobby and out the doors to the awaiting bus. The short ride to the venue will be the last time they see the damn thing until their next tour.
The ride to the arena is quieter than usual as all of the LOV spend the time sending out texts to friends and family members, making plans to meet up over the coming weeks of freedom before they have to get to work on more songs.
The bus pulls up to the back doors of the venue, and the band climbs out, heading straight for their dressing room with their pre-picked outfits in tow.
They have zero shame in changing around each other, so none of them give a single fuck as Tenko locks the door and they strip their clothes off.
Touya pulls on a pair of tight black jeans, held up by a white studded belt, and one of his black v-neck shirts. He grabs his guitar, setting it against the wall and leaning next to it as he scrolls through his phone.
He finally responds to the multiple texts from his sister, agreeing to go stop by for a family dinner in a couple weeks while their dad will be on a business trip.
Then he goes back to his favorite text chat.
Bakugou: Shitty Hair and I are at the concert. Probably won’t hear my phone if you text.
Touya: Go have some fucking fun.
Bakugou: Yeah, yeah.
Touya sighs as he pockets his phone, bored as there really isn’t anything else to do.
He looks around the room, everyone else is done pulling on their clothes and Magne has moved on to doing her makeup. She’s the only one of them who spends time on a full face, but nights like tonight when they have extra time, Himiko will likely let Magne paint her up.
Touya walks up to the long mirror and grabs his eyeliner pen—marked as his with a little strip of blue washi tape—and he lines his eyes in a thin outline of black, just to make the turquoise of his irises pop more. He’s always liked the look.
Tenko and Atsuhiro follow suit, putting on their own little bits of makeup. Atsuhiro is a basic bitch, simply powdering his face so he doesn’t look greasy.
Tenko keeps it pretty simple, lining his eyes and spritzing his hair with something that Touya thinks smells like decaying flowers; but Tenko likes it, so whatever.
Touya plops down on the far sofa and decides to kill the time with an e-book on his phone.
“Magic for the masses,” LOV says in unison, grins firmly in place on all their faces.
The lights inside the stadium are dimmed and Himiko pushes the stage door open.
They walk to their places, confident and energized. They want to go out with a bang so they have to make sure this concert doesn’t lull in any way.
Touya takes his spot, fingers clasped around the neck of his guitar as he waits for his friends to nod their readiness to him. The auditorium is mostly silent as the crowd waits for the usual start.
He sucks in a sharp breath, which reverberates around the auditorium through the microphone, and he roars out their opening.
“I hope you’re fired up, Tokyo, because we’re the LOV!”
Touya is soaked in sweat and panting heavily as their last song fades out. The crowd is going nuts, and Himiko lets out a loud whoop as she jumps in the air and pumps her fist.
“Thank you so much, Tokyo!” Himiko half-sings into the microphone, leaning up against Touya’s side.
“Come on, let’s celebrate the end of this tour with a selfie!” Tenko yells. Touya groans and Atsuhiro turns to give him an unimpressed look. Tenko laughs and looks back at the tattooed man, waving him closer. “Come on, Mister Cat Café hero!”
“Oh, shut up!” Touya yells as he steps over to where they’ve gathered on the left side of the stage, backs to the crowd.
“Dabi! Shirt! Dabi! Shirt!” The audience chants, and Touya runs a hand through his hair; it comes out soaked in sweat and he grimaces slightly.
“Dude, you started it,” Tenko says, barking out a laugh.
“For fucks’ sake,” Touya grouses, but a smirk twitches his lips up in the corners.
He tugs his shirt up over his head and the crowd goes nuts as his tattoo-coated torso and back are put on display, shining brightly across the multiple screens. Touya balls the shirt up, coils back, and throws it as hard as he can. Someone catches it and screams loudly.
“Thank you, and good night!” Magne says, waving at the crowd.
“Wash that fucking shirt, you sicko!” Touya yells, flashing the crowd a vicious grin as he flips them off.
“Never!” The person screams out.
Touya, Tenko, and Himiko crack up laughing as they make their way to the exit. It’s impossible to completely fight back the smiles.
While they all love touring, it’s always an exhausting few weeks. It makes Touya incredibly thankful to live in a country as small as Japan—he knows that places like America have tours that last months, and that sounds like a fucking nightmare.
The group splits up in the locker room, quickly showering and changing.
Touya pulls on a pair of black jeans and a loose white t-shirt before meeting the rest of LOV in the dressing room.
Then the nerves start really setting in.
He’s about to meet Bakugou.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” Touya says, groaning and running his hands through his hair.
“Whoa, calm down, Touy,” Himiko soothes. “You’ll be fine.”
Tenko nods his agreement. “Just pretend he’s an NPC and act casual.”
“We’ll be there the whole time, honey,” Magne says with a soft smile.
“Magic for the masses,” Atsuhiro says, and everyone turns to look at him. Atsuhiro shrugs. “I’m asexual and have no helpful input. But know that I support you.”
Touya snorts loudly and Tenko cackles, while Himiko and Magne just shake their heads.
“Come on, mom, go get us a new dad,” Tenko chirps.
“Stop fucking calling me that!” Touya yells as he storms toward the door, face red with embarrassment and anger. Tenko pops up alongside him and opens his mouth to say something else that would undoubtedly be stupid, and Touya wraps his arms around him in a headlock. “No, you’re a fucking idiot. Shut the fuck up.”
“You gonna give me a timeout?” Tenko wheezes.
“I fucking might!” Touya snaps before releasing his best friend.
They reach the doors and Aizawa hands out their markers. Touya takes a deep breath and tries to force down his simmering panic, attempting to hide it behind a smirk.
Tenko and Himiko go up front and shove the doors open, letting security keep them open for the rest of the band, and the fans outside start screaming excitedly.
Touya forces himself to keep his eyes only on the things he’s signing as he goes so he can keep an air of ‘cool rock star’ going instead of ‘anxious man with crush on someone he’s never met in person.’
“Oh, you! Thank you for the VIP tickets!” A familiar voice yells out and Touya looks up at the owner of the folded, brand new LOV t-shirt in his hands; Kirishima.
“Ah, what’s up?” He says as he signs it. “Selling this, too?”
Kirishima grins. “It’ll get me way more than the paper!”
Touya cocks a curious brow. “How much did the paper get you?”
“50,000¥,” he says proudly.
“Damn,” Touya says.
Kirishima grins and starts turning to the side, eyes still locked on Touya’s. “Oh, by the way, this is—hey, stop hiding behind me, that’s not manly.”
“Shitty Hair, I will fucking kill you,” a deep, gruff voice snarls out.
Touya peers around the redhead at the blonde man attempting to hide behind his larger friend, a pink blush across his cheeks. Touya smirks and cocks a brow at Bakugou.
“Oh, scared to say hi?” Touya taunts.
“Oh, damn,” Kirishima says lowly.
“Fuck you, I ain’t scared!” Bakugou shouts.
“Come on, it’s your birthday, live a little,” Kirishima says.
“It’s your birthday?” Touya asks curiously.
“21 today,” Bakugou confirms as he finally rises to his full height, just a little shorter than Touya.
He’s wearing the shirt he’d gotten from the concert last year, and holy fuck, does it ever look amazing on him. Bakugou follows Touya’s gaze down, and flushes dark red as he crosses his arms.
“Fuck off,” he growls out.
“Cute,” Touya drawls, and ignores the growled retort from the blonde as he turns to one of the security guards. “Hey, I’m letting only these two across. Blondie and Red. No one else.”
“Got it, Mr. Dabi,” the guard says.
“Come on,” Touya says, motioning for them to hop the small guard rail.
“Fucking… seriously?” Bakugou says uncertainly.
“Don’t question him, Baku-bro!” Kirishima says as he hops over. “Come on!”
Bakugou grunts, but climbs over the rail, gracefully like a damn cat; the movement showing off the flexing muscles in his arms. Touya tears his eyes away and looks to his band, further down the line.
“Okay, you two, fucking follow me while I finish signing shit,” Touya grouses.
“Thanks, man!” Kirishima chirps.
Bakugou just grunts, but follows when Touya starts walking, making his way down the line. When he finally reaches the smaller, more private space at the end and meets up with the band, they all give him curious looks.
“Not a fucking word,” he warns them, and they all nod. He turns and gestures to the two newcomers behind him. “This is Bakugou and Kirishima.”
“We know,” Tenko says and Touya shoots him a warning look. The blue-haired man just grins and steps closer to shake their hands. “Ah, you both have good hands.”
“What the fuck,” Bakugou mutters.
“Your guys’ music is awesome,” Kirishima says with a huge grin.
“Thanks!” Tenko says cheerfully as he steps back. “Well, I must go and make my way back to my dear, beloved husband.”
“Shut up,” Touya says, waving him off.
“Okay, mom,” Tenko says, smacking Touya on the arm and pouting when he hurts his own fingers.
“I will be riding back with him,” Atsuhiro says. He nods to Bakugou and Kirishima. “It’s a pleasure. I hope to see more of you.” He turns back to Touya. “Goodbye, mother.”
“Stop fucking calling me that!” Touya yells as he flings his marker at the man. Atsuhiro chuckles lowly as he walks off behind Tenko.
“Mom?” Bakugou echoes, amused and confused.
Touya rounds on him and drags one hand down his face. “Don’t. It’s a long fucking story.”
“He’s our band mother,” Magne adds unhelpfully. Touya glares at her, and she ignores it. “It’s lovely to meet you both, but Himiko and I are also heading home.”
“Good luck, Touy!” Himiko says with a wink.
“Crash and die,” Touya deadpans.
“We’ll text you when we get home safely!” Himiko calls over her shoulder.
“I hope your smoke detectors fail!” Touya yells.
“Have fun, mom!” Himiko shouts, turning to walk backwards so she can flip him off.
“I’m quitting!” Touya hollers. “Fuck all of you!”
Himiko’s manic laughter echoes across the night air and Touya turns back to a very confused and amused Bakugou and Kirishima. Touya scowls as he tries to figure out what to say.
“So,” Kirishima drawls. “Are we gonna do something cool, man?”
Touya tilts his head as he considers that. “I guess. I’ve still got some food on the bus.”
“You’ll let us see the tour bus?” Bakugou asks incredulously.
Touya stares blankly at him, noting the way the lights behind him illuminate the edges of his pale hair like a halo, and then he nods and turns, heading toward the bus.
The two follow close behind him, and when they get to the large vehicle, Touya waves the driver off, telling him to just leave it for the night. None of their equipment is on it anymore, anyway.
Touya leads the way up into the bus, going straight to the fridge and pulling three covered bowls of white stew from his special mini-fridge before popping them one at a time in the microwave.
While he heats the food up, he watches as Bakugou and Kirishima take in the bus curiously,
“What’s it like living in this?” Kirishima asks.
“Fucking horrible,” Touya grouses. “We stay in hotels whenever we can.”
“I was surprised to see you at my hotel,” Kirishima says. “I kinda figured a band famous like yours would stay in the ritzy places.”
Touya shrugs. “Just need a gym, a kitchen, and beds.”
The microwave beeps for the third and final bowl, and he pulls it out, drops spoons into them, and holds two out for the other men. Kirishima thanks him and Bakugou grunts out something that could potentially be considered a ‘thanks.’
Touya grabs his own bowl and makes his way to the sofa, plopping down and crossing his legs up as he starts eating. Bakugou and Kirishima follow suit, sitting at the opposite end from him.
“Not terrible,” Bakugou says after swallowing his first spoonful.
“Seriously, I would love to eat like this every day,” Kirishima says with a sigh.
Touya snorts. “Then learn to cook.”
“Wait,” Kirishima says, eyeing him with amazement. “You cooked this?”
“That’s why I like hotels with a decent kitchen,” Touya says with a shrug.
“I can see why they call you the band mom,” Kirishima says, giving Touya a smirk.
“Oh, fuck you,” Touya snaps.
“Shitty Hair’s got a point,” Bakugou says, eyes glittering with mirth.
“Not sure why you call him that when your hair looks like a damn dandelion puff,” Touya grouses.
“I will fucking kill you,” Bakugou growls and Touya laughs.
“I’d like to see you try,” he says, smirking.
Touya and Bakugou quip back and forth through the entire meal, and it feels so natural, like they just fit together perfectly. Touya doesn’t often feel comfortable around anyone but his bandmates.
When they finish eating, Touya grabs their bowls and takes them across the small space, dropping them in the sink.
He turns to face the other two, crossing his arms, and steels himself. “So… how’s Queenie?”
“How’s…” Bakugou trails off and turns to Kirishima, brows knitted in confusion.
“I didn’t mention your cat,” Kirishima says, shrugging.
Touya scrunches up his nose and rubs the back of his neck. “I have no fucking idea how to do this.”
“Do what?” Bakugou says, narrowing his eyes suspiciously.
“Wait, didn’t Mystery Man say he was sending your stuff to LOV?” Kirishima says.
“Oh,” Bakugou says, blushing lightly. “Um, fuck—yeah. You probably had to read some of my shit.”
Touya frowns, not liking the weird, unexpected tone of self doubt. “The fuck?”
“I’m a writer,” Bakugou says, scowling in a way that’s distinctly anxious. “I write blogs and stuff, and this guy I’ve been texting—”
“Shut up,” Touya snaps. “I’m Kenji. Or what-the-fuck-ever name it was.”
Bakugou blanches and Kirishima throttles the blonde as he screams. “You’re the mystery man!?”
Touya winces at the obscene volume. “Jesus, calm the fuck down.”
“I’ve been texting you?” Bakugou says weakly. “I’ve… holy shit… I’m wearing… fuck.” He covers his face with his hands and groans loudly. “Are you going to put a restraining order on me or something?”
Touya blinks and cocks his head. “The fuck would I do that for?”
“I wrong numbered you and we’ve been texting for almost a fucking month,” Bakugou says, moving his hands to run them through his hair.
Kirishima narrows his eyes at Touya. “If you’re doing this to mess with my best bro…”
“I’m not,” Touya says, rolling his eyes. “The fucking assholes who call themselves my friends have been mocking me for my fucking crush on the phone guy.”
Bakugou’s hand stills and he blinks, eyes sliding up to meet Touya’s. “What?”
Touya huffs and sighs. “That’s why I gave your friend the fucking tickets. He said your name, made it a lot fucking easier to meet you.”
“Wait, wait,” Kirishima says, face morphing into a grin. “You’ve both had crushes on the guy you’ve been texting.”
Touya blinks. “Both?”
“Eijirou,” Bakugou hisses.
“Oh, he’s being going on nonstop about the mystery man,” Kirishima says, grin growing impossibly wider.
“You like me?” Touya asks uncertainly as he eyes the blonde.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” Bakugo says, squinting at Touya. “You managed to kick my ass into actually start up my own blog, and you shared it and it’s barely even up yet and I’ve got a fuckton of followers and ad requests and other companies asking me to write pieces for them.”
Touya nods. “Yeah, you’re fucking talented.”
“Well, I just ordered myself a taxi,” Kirishima says cheerfully as he hops to his feet. “Baku-bro, please text me details later.”
Touya watches him leave before looking back at Bakugou, who is openly staring at him now. Touya sighs and walks over to sit on the sofa again, leaving only a half meter between them.
“I’m gonna go climbing up Mount Nantai next weekend,” Touya says. “Wanna come with me?”
“Fucking… seriously?” Bakugou says, frowning.
“Obviously,” Touya says. “I wouldn’t have gone through this trouble if I didn’t want to get to know you.”
Bakugou huffs, but nods. “Fine.”
Touya grins. “It’s a date.”
