Welcome fellow kids, to my blog where I am 100% a perfectly normal human and will do/say whatever I please because I am in charge here.

Other than reblogging things I like, I will also most likely complain about problems that happen in my life as therapy is expensive. I know that diaries are a thing and exist for this kind of stuff. However I need at least one other person to hear me out as no one in my life ever really does, so I am giving this a shot.

Besides what better way to vent than to the strangers of the internet.

okay guys. after a *checks the time* 10 hour school day, i was finally able to watch harumasa’s character demo and all i can say is that i have a few thoughts.

the bird we see in the beginning is a sign of an ethereal. it also symbolizes him in a sense, white feathers, very bright yellow eyes. the young boy we hear in the beginning is most definitely younger harumasa. the bird kept watch of him before flying away, making him wake up.

we find out that he has two scars? holes? on the side of his neck and his choker is used a cover. he fears he’d turn into an ethereal and relies on medication to keep himself in check.

it seems that he was heavily tested on as a child, as the only time the testing failed was when he was younger. this caused him to be shot in the neck to regain control over himself. this is also the only time we ever see him have heterochromia eye color (maybe his eyes turn a different color if he becomes an ethereal)

he wakes up again after having another nightmare of his past. it’s clear that he can’t just easily ignore the fact that he can become an ethereal, hence why his story states that it is a secret he holds within him that he cannot get over or leave behind. the mirror shatters and a flock of white birds with yellow eyes come flying right towards him but you can see that they carry the same green color as ethereals.

remember the bird in the beginning? maybe instead of flying away, it was flying towards the young boy. just like how harumasa was slowly walking towards the boy at the end and in his eyes, was slowly turning into an ethereal.

yeah thats it. i think i just stated like supremely obvious things but i look forward to finding out more about him. also his birthday is july 18th i think YIPEE HIM AND I ARE BOTH JULY BABIES

why no asking for patterns??

It's irritating. Before I put the "Stop asking me about my patterns" note on my description, 80 percent of my asks/messages were just asking 1) where did you get the pattern 2) can i have the pattern 3) pattern? even though I'd already stated multiple times (and tagged accordingly) that I freehand everything and don't share any of my patterns. Even now I'm still getting a few people asking for patterns. A lot of them don't even follow me and have never interacted with me in any capacity; they act like I'm some AI bot they can demand things from. I love asks, but literally one week I had at least 8 different people asking me for patterns out of nowhere and that was so frustrating I finally put STOP ASKING ME ABOUT MY PATTERNS.

I don't even care if people dress it up with Hi Hello Love what You're Doing and smilies and offers to pay. You know what people will offer to pay for a pattern? $5 if it's good, maaaaybe $10 but then it should have pictures for pretty much every step or ooh a video tutorial too, and they should be able to ask questions and get personalized one-on-one help since they're paying So Much for just this one single pattern.

I'm spending around 7 hours and upwards of 16 hours on some of these crochets which is the "fun" part for me and I don't want to spend even another hour transcribing my notes for public consumption. Do you know how annoying it is for people to repeatedly ask you the same question that you've answered countless times? Random strangers who don't know anything about you just messaging you out of nowhere "Where's the pattern for this?" because they don't care enough to do a cursory search of my blog and find the answer. I'm not going out of my way to do something that I don't like to do for a pitiful amount of money for someone who, in all likelihood, will not even make the damn thing. That's the thing that would make a difference to me is if they actually showed that they would appreciate the time I put in, by putting in the time themselves to make something from a pattern I've already publicly shared here (go find it yourself though). There is exactly one person I know for sure I would share any pattern with, and maybe another 3 I would consider.

Honestly, it should be enough for me to say I DON'T WANT TO and that would be it! But no! People even now still message me saying "I read your description but please can you make an exception for me?" and the little thing in the conversation window reads "Not following each other" and I don't recall ever seeing them in my notes before that point and searching on their blog doesn't show that they'd ever reblogged or interacted with me before. Bonafide random fucker knows fuckall about me and yet they want me to do them a favor? There's so much casual entitlement in crocheting and crafts and I hate it.

In short, too many people asking when I already said no. People are impersonal and rude about it. it's not fun or worth it to me.

as much as i dont like to be a constant negative voice here but man, it really is apparent that i have never actually and fully hated a piece of media before in the way i hate totk

i know know i talked about it alot but it feels almost weird to really have such a visceral hatred for something like this (and hopefully proof that i am not a guy that just hates everything or something, i dont love many things either (as in really really interested, thinking about it, writing things or drawing, possibly hyperfixation way, i do like things but thats more neutrally? idk how my brain works) but towards the vast majority of media and games i just feel neutral or a personal dislike for that just means im not gonna engage with it and nothing more)

and im now saying this bc i didnt expect that id react this strongly to seeing those weird new ... notes? or text stuff from totk (and even botw???) since the switch 2 released- maybe its a bit bc i was kinda surprised by it but boi i do NOT want to read anything of it, even if it gave me more stuff to be annoying about, its like scrolling past extremely smelly dog poo to me- and what may be the strangest thing is that .. that also goes for botw (which i used to love so so deeply)

i guess i myself missjudged just how much totk has really soured everything zelda for me, even if those notes say 'interesting' things i just .. cant take it seriously anymore, they were glued on afterwards, maybe its gonna try and fill any of the massive, continent wide gaps between the two games to try and artificially connect them after the fact, perhaps just some guys trying to think of what a character could say about a place with no real meaning to it, i dont know and i dont want to ................. everything feels insincere now, corporate.

(it feels like zelda too is turning from my beloved hyperfixation into something i dont want to engage with ever again, like its happend before, with other media, and i hated it happend, and now its happening again, i would lie if i said this isnt very distressing to me bc it is, even if it may look stupid, im feeling the best and happiest when i have something to latch onto like this, with this passion and care to work with the media- but it happens by chance, i dont control it, and losing it is really reminding me i am in fact very depressed with nothing to distract me anymore now. ... plus, this zelda hyperfixation felt like the longest running, most passionate, i ever had.)

First of all, fantastic username.

Second, Zhuang Yan being a paid actress is the only thing that makes sense. What I think the book was trying to tell me is that some intelligence agent said to her "hey, the wallfacer is gonna fall in love with you, and we need to use that to get him to help with the alien invasion thing, so if you care about humanity at all you know what you must do" and she's fresh out of art school in the middle of a global crisis, being offered to live in a mansion in Switzerland for free and do as much art as she wants.... I understand her. But that entire arc was honestly the only thing I'd describe as far-fetched and unrealistic in the whole saga.

I'm halfway through book 3 tho so I may not have all the information about their divorce yet

I realized shes probably an actor a long while after I finished the book tbh 😭 there's no way in hell they found someone who would say the exact same sentences as his imaginary girlfriend—imagine having to script that though; I would be so confused.... in hindsight I just feel kind of bad for her. I can totally see the offer you described, and you really can't say no can you? Both as a normal person just thrown into this mess, and as a civilian with less authority than a literal Wallfacer.. sigh. I wonder if she knew what she was getting into when she got brought to live with Luo Ji.. It's a generous offer, but having a child within 5 years is such a commitment for someone just graduated who used to have a completely separate life before this 😭 I can imagine her real personality was essentially what Luo Ji saw, but I don't quite believe Zhuang Yan loved him as much as he thought, especially considering her background-music-like sadness and the later divorce lol.

ALL RIGHT ONTARIANS LISTEN UP. FORD HAS CALLED AN EARLY ELECTION ONE MONTH FROM NOW.

The premier of Ontario has called an election fifteen months early that will be held on February 27th, 2025. Things are going to be moving very quickly for the next month. This decision does not give parties a lot of time to campaign and this is by design. Here’s a crash course on Ontario government and a very quick breakdown of what you need to know.

Ontario’s parliament has 124 seats. Each represents a riding, which elects an MPP. The names on your ballot are the people running to be that MPP for your region.

Each MPP represents a party. Each party has a leader. The leader of the party with the largest number of the 124 seats will become the next premier. This means that your vote counts towards two things: the MPP who will represent your region, and the party of the premier you are voting for. These two things may not naturally line up, in which case you have to decide which one matters more to you.

Once all votes have been counted, if the leading party has the majority of seats (63 or more), they form a majority government, meaning that they do not need as much support from other parties to pass legislation. If the leading party does not have the majority, they get a minority government, where they need more agreement from other parties. Either way, the runner-up becomes the official opposition, whose main task is to be critical of the leading party and what they propose. Coalition governments, which are minority governments where one or more parties band together to combine their seats to get the highest proportion of legislature, are also possible, but this is very unlikely as none of the three biggest parties get along with one another. We currently have a PC (blue) majority government with an NDP (orange) opposition.

I’ll reblog this post with my argument as to what you should consider doing with your vote, but for now, regardless of how you’ll vote, you should confirm your voter registration at the elections ontario voter registration website. You input your name and address and if you’re on the list, it’ll confirm it for you and tell you which riding you’re in. Ridings were redrawn recently and your riding may have changed, so I recommend checking your status even if you’ve been registered for years. If you don’t come up on the list (or this will be your first time voting), you can register on the same site.

Why did Ford call an election fifteen months early? The short answer is that he’s pretty sure he can win it with another majority, securing another four years of majority power for the PCs. This decision is heavily impacted by the threat of increased tariffs from the United States under their current president. I’ll link some articles under the cut for further reading on why this is happening.

Keep an eye out for campaign advertisements and be aware of what agendas they’re trying to push on you over the next four weeks. Figure out a plan for election day, or if you’re making alternate arrangements. Make sure you’re registered to vote, and make sure you know what (and who) you’re voting for.
