You ever look back on something you wrote several years ago and think, "damn this is actually really good?"

That's me. A few years back, when I was writing on Wattpad, I was obsessed with this one anime called Fairy Tail. I wrote fanfiction for it, I made fan art for my fanfiction, I would literally stay up all night reading about my favorite ships... but like all other hyper-fixations, it eventually faded and I found My Hero Academia and other anime to watch.

Anyways, I was looking back through my Wattpad account and I realized there's this one's particular story I did not finish. A story I spent the last few days rereading and thinking, "holy shit, why did I not finish this?"

That fanfiction is called Walk Through The Fire, the result of me being so utterly pissed off at how Fairy Tail ended that I literally just rewrote the entire ending. I had two books planned out, and according to some of my old drafts, both of them were intended to be over 60 chapters long.

I think that story has a lot of good potential.

So I'm thinking about finishing it.

It's probably been over 2 years since I last uploaded a chapter, and in that same amount of time, I abandoned my account. Wattpad was my writing platform for about 5 years at the time (13-18); I felt like I needed a fresh start, and Ao3 looked like the best choice. I didn't really mean to abandon my Wattpad account completely, but this new update came and I couldn't recover the email that was associated with that account. I decided to cut my losses and write other things, and for a while, I forgot about it. Then I started rewatching Fairy Tail.

Fairy Tail faded in popularity over the years, and since the anime ended back in 2020, I'm not even sure if there are any people still reading about it. The fandom might be dead- even though the Hundred Year Quest is still ongoing- and part of me feels really bad for just abandoning that story all because I was lazy and uninspired.

Right now I'm so busy with work and school and stuff, I'm not too sure if adding yet another project onto my plate is a good idea. But honestly at this rate I really don't care. I like the stories I'm writing, even the old shitty ones with poor grammar and even worse punctuation.

I feel like the story has a lot of potential and when I feel the time is right I think I'll finish it. It's all a matter of if and when.

Fox spirits, also known as kitsune, are some of the most infamous yokai across the archipelago. Feared for their near-real illusions and the ability to transform their bodies at whim, it is no wonder why their reputation shapes them into dangerous, conniving beasts. Kayama Nemuri is one such kitsune, and as a nogitsune with seven tails, she has more than enough power to take the things she wants in life. That is until, one day, she herself gets tricked and loses her hoshi no tama-- her soul-- to a rotten oni who calls himself All For One. In a desperate attempt to reclaim what is rightfully hers, Nemuri must go to the Tasomiya Mountains to seduce the resident air dragon into giving her his Pearl and bring it to All For One.
