i don't think i've said much about it other than 'she almost died' aksdhsh but everything went very wrong when the first one was born and she got sepsis, which can really fuck you up long term and she developed chronic fatigue.

something i think about so often is the way house's confidence/pain is represented by his outfits in the ketamine arc

at the beginning of the arc, in meaning, he's pain-free, confident, and wearing fully coordinated outfits with matching jackets and pants.

but in cane and able, after he thinks he failed his last case, as he starts to lose confidence in himself and his pain comes back, his outfits become less neat, so to speak — they aren't as monochrome, he starts wearing t-shirts under his button-ups, and he doesn't button as many buttons. (the same happens in meaning, when he worries that the pain is coming back and goes to tell wilson about it.)

it might be unintentional, considering there's a house-fit about midway through meaning that matches but isn't totally color-coded like the others, but i think it's very interesting nonetheless! :)

does anyone have tips/advice for someone who's like. Neutral on dogs but needs a service dog? I don't dislike them, I'm definitely more of a cat or fish person, but I've never had a dog that weighed more than 15lbs and he was more my parents dog than anything else and so I'm. A bit out of my depth when it comes to evaluating breeders and puppies and trainers and what to get and what to not get etc etc etc

(I'm specifically looking for a mobility and cardiac alert dog, so a Bernese Mountain Dog, Newfoundland (the ideal tbh), saint bernard etc)
