Theories of Equality
Equality has been a cornerstone of societal discussions for centuries, encompassing a range of philosophical, ethical, and social perspectives. Let's delve into some prominent theories on equality, each offering a unique lens through which to view this complex and vital concept.
1. Egalitarianism: Egalitarianism asserts that all individuals should have equal access to resources, opportunities, and rights, regardless of their background or circumstances. It emphasizes the importance of minimizing inequalities in wealth, education, and social status. Egalitarian thinkers advocate for redistributive policies to bridge the gap between the privileged and the marginalized, striving for a more just and equitable society.
2. Utilitarianism: Derived from the philosophy of Jeremy Bentham and John Stuart Mill, utilitarianism posits that the goal of society should be to maximize overall happiness or utility. In the context of equality, utilitarianism emphasizes the importance of distributing resources and benefits in a way that maximizes the well-being of the greatest number of people. This perspective might lead to policies that address the needs of the most vulnerable members of society.
3. Libertarianism: Libertarianism emphasizes individual rights, autonomy, and minimal government intervention. While not explicitly focused on equality, libertarians argue that a just society arises from protecting individual liberties. In this view, people should be free to pursue their interests without undue interference, which might lead to economic disparities but is considered just as long as it doesn't infringe on others' rights.
4. Communitarianism: Communitarians emphasize the importance of community values and shared responsibilities. While endorsing a level of individual autonomy, communitarians also stress the significance of cooperation and mutual support. Equality is viewed as essential for fostering social cohesion, where individuals contribute to and benefit from a harmonious communal life.
5. Rawlsian Theory of Justice: John Rawls proposed the "veil of ignorance," suggesting that societal structures should be designed as if we don't know our own social position. This thought experiment aims to create a just society by minimizing inequalities and ensuring that advantages are distributed to benefit the least advantaged members. Rawls' theory focuses on ensuring equal basic liberties and addressing inequalities through policies that benefit those in need.
6. Feminist Theories of Equality: Feminist perspectives challenge traditional notions of equality, highlighting the intersectionality of gender, race, class, and other identities. Feminists argue that true equality requires dismantling systemic biases and acknowledging the unique challenges faced by different groups. The emphasis is on achieving equity through policies and social change that empower marginalized individuals.
7. Capability Approach: Developed by Amartya Sen and Martha Nussbaum, the capability approach centers on individuals' ability to achieve valuable functions and capabilities. Equality, in this context, is not merely about equal distribution of resources but about providing people with the opportunities and capabilities to lead fulfilling lives according to their own choices.
8. Equality of Opportunity: This theory focuses on ensuring that all individuals have equal access to opportunities and resources to succeed. It aims to level the playing field by addressing systemic barriers that hinder individuals from different backgrounds from realizing their potential. By providing equal starting points, proponents of this theory believe that merit can truly shine through.
Theories of equality offer diverse frameworks for understanding and addressing societal disparities. While some emphasize equal access to resources, others focus on individual rights, community values, or specific aspects of justice. Exploring these theories enables us to engage in meaningful discussions about how best to create a more just and equitable world.

you know what i think Mirabelle deserves to get a little fucked up freaky in how she processes learning about Siffrin’s loops post-canon. for fun. as a treat
thinking about this line in particular and stretching out the implications like taffy

this is a more romanticized, cutesy facet of her interests but she’s still framing Siffrin’s situation through storytelling. so like. What If.
i mean. this woman loves horror and gore and monsters and horrible things happening to innocent people. IN FICTION. in fiction!!! obviously!!!! and it’s beyond terrible that something even remotely close to any of that happened to her real friend in real life!!
BUT.
maybe. maybe sometimes, if the conditions are right, she gets a little too wrapped up in her imagination about the bloody, awful poetry of it all. maybe Siffrin tells a joke that's a little too dark and gory for anyone else, borderline or full-on Concerning, but she latches onto it without thinking about the Implications and plays along with increasing gruesomeness because FINALLYYYYY someone will play with her in the Horror Space (like Isabeau does in the romance space!!) and then. OOPS. the implications!!!! and she has to recalibrate out of Fun With Fiction mode into Oh No, My Friend Underwent A Horrifying Ordeal mode.
but being able to joke about things, even the awful things, is...kind of comforting, to Siffrin. makes them feel less like they're being babied and pitied and more like what happened was something...normal, almost? something that doesn't have to feel like the end of the world all over again every time it's mentioned, at least. so he tries to reassure her, and Odile and Isabeau have to go “actually can you PLEASE not joke about dying horribly it’s freaking us out and also might not be the Best for you? mentally???”
maybe Mirabelle will get a little Too Into trying to weave meaning and symbolism into the scant details that Siffrin gradually reveals, like she’s trying to finish the orange poem all over again, or eagerly meddling with the romantic reunion of the two actual people in the House with undelivered bonding earrings, writing their story for them without their input.
it’s easier to justify the tragedy of it all when it has a purpose, isn’t it? finding the beauty in the darkness, the love powerful enough to end the world. romanticizing the horrors until her friend can talk about them without shutting down.
and she feels guilty about hearing something and immediately thinking “ohhhhhhh this is JUST like Blorbo From My Novels,” because she should treat Siffrin’s situation with the gravity and care he deserves!! they’re a real person, not a character who exists for entertainment, to represent the ~themes~ of some story.
but if she admits as much…maybe Siffrin is safe to admit that he had started seeing the rest of them as actors, endlessly reciting their lines. maybe that’s just how people process things sometimes, grasping for metaphors when unfiltered reality gets to be too much. maybe it’s okay to talk about that part of it all, too.
#mypost#isat spoilers#is this. is this anything.#much more nervous about this mira post because the basis for it is. tenuous maybe. have not seen something approaching this take Anywhere#thinking about the healer stereotype of being soft and warm and loving#but in reality 'healers' being exposed to the brutal bloody truth of human fragility and anatomy#she's a fighter. she's a healer. she reads the most fucked up gore you can imagine#she's anxious to the point of trembling like a chiuahua sometimes but dammit she WILL stand her ground when it counts#and MAYBE her first avenue of processing the horrors of reality is to revel in the horrors of fiction!#is this a good/healthy approach for her OR siffrin? mmmmmmmaybe not!#but like. idk. i feel like people write Mirabelle as less capable of handling the messiest parts of Siffrin’s recovery#on account of her anxiety. and i get that liking gore in fiction is VERY MUCH not the same as being chill & level headed about it#when faced with the real thing in the context of someone you care about#odile is logical and level headed. isabeau is a pillar of comfort and has defender training. i get why they’re the go-to’s#so! fair enough! but she IS also a fighter and a healer#who is absolutely resolute when something matters to her#i wanna give her more credit for her ability to step up in messy situations#and also. for fun. make her a little Weird about it too.#isat#isat thoughts#mirasif qpr#isat mirabelle#isat siffrin#in stars and time#in stars and time spoilers#bonnie not mentioned in the gory joke scenario bc i believe siffrin would have the restraint to not do that when they’re around#but not be QUITE as conscious about what’s gonna fly with the adults

I know that Luigi’s emotional nature is mostly played for laughs, but the fact that he cries and sobs and screams for help, but is also extremely capable and able to fight with the best of them and has repeatedly battled armies of malicious ghosts to protect the ones he loves… that is so cool man. That’s really important to me.
#Meek emotional men who are also super responsible and capable 🔥 🔥 💯 can’t get enough of that#best flavor of underdog to me#Luigi#Luigi’s Mansion#Super Mario Bros#Also very glad that Nintendo is kinda moving away from the ha ha point and laugh at the pathetic emotional guy’ angle#it’s still a comedy beat but it’s approached with way more warmth and compassion compared to the early 2000s

Some Ratio x Reader x Anaxa idea
Listening to Dr Ratio and Prof Anaxa's voicelines is interesting since it shows they interact with ppl differently, even though both are knowledge-seekers and experienced with academics.
Dr Ratio is serious, and doesn’t suffer fools gladly. If you're wasting his time, he's not going to bother with you. If you persist on annoying him with matters and concerns he doesn't want to deal with, Ratio will unleash his sharp tongue on you, attacking any weak points in your arguments and presentation. He is not a man to entertain any of your questionably dumb shenanigans.
Anaxa, in contrast, is perhaps more open to hearing you out. Don't assume that it's because he's nicer than Ratio lol. Anaxa has a sharp tongue of his own. It's just that he holds it and entertains conversations with idiots because he isn't as picky as Ratio on how he chooses to spend his time. I would even say he's a bit of a troll, finding amusement in hearing what others have to say first, letting them think that he is listening or supporting their arguments. That is, until they are done speaking, and Anaxa proceeds to open his mouth and starts criticising.
This gives me some idea for a Ratio x reader x Anaxa fic, where reader is a scholar or student who has interacted with both of them, either due to research projects or studying similar fields. (This can take place after Amphoreus gets freed from whatever cyclical bs is going on and is able to interact with the rest of the interstellar system or u can set this in a modern au)
It would be kinda funny if reader is distant from Ratio, but friendly towards Anaxa. Ratio, having a no-nonsense attitude and very high standards of academic conduct, makes any interactions with him feel daunting. Dealing with his criticisms can be exhausting, esp since he is so sure of his own stance on various matters and he might not necessarily listen to your opinions if he finds them lacking. Competent scholar yes, but constant debates can get tiring. It's less emotionally stressful to maintain a strictly professional relationship with Ratio.
For some reason, you still end up having to talk to him occasionally, even though you are not seeking him out at all. He keeps saying that he needs your opinion on some stuff, but most of the time it's not related to your field whatsoever?? Surely, there's plenty of other competent scholars in the Intelligencia Guild with more expertise he can consult from instead. You do admire Dr Ratio, but you would prefer to do so from a distance where his blunt manners don't directly agitate you...
Anaxa (or Anaxagoras, as he so prefers to be called), is a recent arrival to the guild, hailing from an isolated system. It's a lot more easier to talk to him, compared to ahem some other ppl, because at least Anaxa is more willing to hear you out? Granted, he acts strikingly similar to Ratio when responding to dumb shit, but Anaxa is not as stubborn. He seems eager to hear about what you do, which makes sense as he is curious to learn abt topics beyond what his homeworld had to offer. You are also interested in hearing abt how different schools of thought develop in his homeworld, mentally comparing them to the Intelligencia Guild and Genius Society.
Discussing all kinds of topics with him is quite fun. It’s a treat to see the glint of curiosity in Anaxa's eye whenever you share your own thoughts and experiences based on your travels to other worlds. Even better when he internalises them and asks questions of his own, to quench his own thirst of knowledge that lies beyond what he is familiar with. A thirst that you fully understand and reciprocate. (if only you knew how thirsty he is for you in a different way cough cough)
Hmm how odd it is that your interactions with Anaxa is a lot different from that with Dr Ratio, given how similar they both are.
Speaking of the two, it is inevitable that these two scholars will bump into each other sooner or later. With close proximity to you, one will definitely hear of the other at some point.
Ok I will be honest in saying that I'm not too sure how their interactions would be like if they ever meet. I like to think that their first meeting would be like...ok-ish? As in they both won't hate each other cus neither of them are idiots and they have similar ideals. But they don’t necessarily like each other, being the critical assholes they are.
The moment it registers to one of them that the other likes you, however? Oh boyyyy
Ratio, once he notices how much time you spend with Anaxa and how much you enjoy chatting with him, finds himself seething with jealousy in the background. Not that he realises it at first. He thinks that this ugly emotion churning in his heart is frustration at being unable to consult your opinions on the various research topics he's looking into. At least, not with Anaxa monopolising most of your attention.
Anaxa, who is definitely a bit more socially aware, picks up on the hostility from the doctor. It’s not long before he connects the dots between Ratio's persistence in seeking you out, and his obvious dislike of Anaxa. The professor is not even threatened by a potential rival, when he knows how much you vastly prefer him over the caustic doctor. If anything, he's visibly amused and smug about it, which of course ticks off Ratio even more.
Even you can sense the simmering tension whenever the three of you are standing in the same space. You can tell that Ratio and Anaxa don't quite like each other, but you can't exactly grasp the reason why. Asking Anaxa doesn't help. He merely mentions how he dislikes the way Ratio is bothering you despite your clear discomfort around him. Which. You suppose that makes sense yet why do you get the feeling it's a lot more than that? And Aeons forbid you ask Dr Ratio about this.
From an outsiders pov, it is very clear to everyone else what's going on. Not that anyone is willing to involve themselves, with those two hovering around. No one with a decent IQ and sense of self-preservation, wants to subject themselves to the scathing remarks of dr Ratio or callous responses from Prof Anaxa, or bother with the drama of it all.
Note: Man i would add a lot more thoughts esp with different possible dynamics with this two plus reader, like one where reader favours Ratio over Anaxa instead or reader who's aware enough to know what's going on. But this post is getting long enough lol so I'll just leave it as this for now.
Also, i'm not sure if I have characterise Ratio and Anaxa well enough, cus they are still very different people even with strong similarities. Would be happy to hear other ideas or interpretations of how an Anaxa and Ratio romantic rivalry (or potential threesome???) would turn out. Feel free to add on your own ideas, if u got any!
#honkai star rail x reader#hsr x reader#dr ratio x reader#anaxa x reader#veritas ratio x reader#anaxagoras x reader#kinda inspired from myself lol#cus i know i would be intimidated by dr ratio and avoid him#even though i think hes cool af and smart wow#but im self conscious and have low confidence in my own capabilities lol so hence avoidance wheee#anaxa is a lot of approachable to me#and slightly unhinged which to me is like ooooh a bit of spice hehe#i will def be all too eager to ask him stuff on various things

this exchange goes crazy...dana "i worship the sea he sailed on" "i did it because i knew if he found out he would kill me" "part of me likes it, needs it, wants the approval" " along the way there are other fathers" "i thought you'd be pleased" "he was my instructor at the academy" "he must have been a wonderful teacher...yes, he's remarkable man" "your fear of failing him?" scully would know a thing or two about THAT...
#trying to gather my Thoughts on the different ways mulder and scully approach authority...#scully essentially lays out her entire deal in never again between craving the approval and attention of an authority figure#only to eventually chafe under the weight of their expectation; the constraints of cooperation and submission#she likes being 'chosen' so to speak - by jack; by daniel - it means she's special. she glows under their approval; it means something to#have their favor#it validates her - she is smart she is capable she is exceptional#(something something sainthood something something being chosen by god for great works something something if you genuflect and pray and do#all the rituals just right something something catholicism)#mulder on the other hand i have a harder time getting into his head re: authority#people like phoebe and diana hold a level of control over him but this isn't an exact superior/subordinate relationship#does he ever really express a real desire to please skinner? he seems to have always been disdainful of patterson#i will have to think on it more.......#the x files

They waited until they had sprouted too! They didn’t eat them when they were just plain ol acorns. They’re also digging holes under my house so sadly I had to get the pellet gun out to deal with them. Luckily, squirrel is yummy.
#I don’t like killing wild animals because they’re causing me problems#I don’t shoot the coyote that eyeballs my chickens#but squirrels are tenacious and the only animal capable of spite#they would chew my unripe figs off the tree while making full eye contact#realize the sap was disgusting#drop the fig on the ground#and go for another one#I’ve tried all the non lethal approaches but they lose fear so fast#also beginning to think it’s not rats in my shed…

Would you say theyre attractive? Like I think theyre mighty fine specimens, but like if they existed irl what where would they landdd
Oh this question tickles me “where would they land” 😝
Hmm. Well, I will say that it’s easy to draw characters that you enjoy looking at :3c ehehehee but really there could be a great number of reasons why I enjoy looking at someone, in art OR in real life tbh. I struggle to differentiate between regular old attraction and being drawn to someone’s features for aesthetic reasons. Not to mention how emotional attachment might affect things.
Hence why I doubt I’d be a great judge of where someone would land on some sorta semi-objective attractiveness scale. I’ve often been told that I have strange tastes. But I can say that I like bold features! And androgyny, and mixtures of traditionally fem and masc aesthetics. And expressiveness! I think this all shows up in the slashies and most of my characters.
To be clear, I’m sure if I saw the slashies irl, i almost certainly would find them attractive 😝. If only because they would be such unique-looking people. Would feel like someone made them just for me! Pfft
#one of these days maybe ill try painting them as photorealistically as im capable of#but i don’t necessarily strive for realism in my own art#i think i have more of an impressionistic approach#i just… like to look at people lol#the human creature endlessly facinates me#ask#dca slasher au

stg, being an enjoyer of jane twdg is like being forced into an expert-level course on the way misogyny manifests in video game spaces.
god forbid a woman be complex or difficult or provably mischaracterized (see tags) at the end of her arc to service the culmination of a man’s storyline.
#“kenny was harrowed by loss in his family” so was jane. that is part of them literally being foils.#“kenny teaches clem more!” literally untrue a lot of clem’s combat style is rooted in what jane taught her (targeting the knees & basically#everything clem knows about knife combat- jane is also mirrored with lee in this sense as like was previously stated knife combat later goe#on to become a major element of how clem fights only outweighed by her use of firearms)#she teaches clem the gut trick & we see the innovative thinking that comes with being more independent & proactive influence the way clem#handles sticky situations & deals with feeling disempowered. like this is going to sound odd but the fact that her behaviour mirrors jane#at her best (even though her relationship with aj is more maternal the way she approaches him much more as an equal & capable of holding#agency over his own life is much more reminiscent of the way she was treated by jane & luke positively + the rest of the adults negatively#than how kenny or even lee treated clem [though lee did start to view her this way after the train] + her people reading skill.) & at her#worst (isolating herself + becoming cold + the fact she is [based on player choice] willing to leave aj behind for both their survival +#struggling with her need for community vs her sense of distrust in their lasting stability + her tendency to be unfeelingly pragmatic to a#fault except when it comes to aj + the fact that clem- at her worst is self-serving & somewhat uncaring in comparison to kenny’s possessive#hot-headedness etc) indicates that on some level- regardless of a player’s second season ending- clem considered jane to be a better#behavioural role model- this isn’t to say kenny was unimpactful but rather that his impact was different- where behaviourally we see elemen#of lee luke jane & even carver in clem’s later behaviour kenny’s impact is more so that of a cautionary tale- somebody clem cared for who#she witnessed lose himself entirely to his worst character flaws due to an inability to cope with the world she now lives in- something he#even admits to her in multiple endings iirc. kenny becomes the fate clem must strive against at all costs.#similar can be said of the ending where you go with jane regarding how it analogies clem’s fears & low self worth as a result of being#unable to maintain what she had with aj (in a manner that mirrors jane’s story in that she’s choosing to leave behind a living relative due#to no longer being able to be what they need- again depending on player choice*)#*my exact memory of the third season is hazier tbh. iirc it is dependent on player choice whether she is complacent with the decision to#make her leave the new frontier.#like the way the ending was handled was sloppy & jane was mischaracterized as a result of being shoved into a conflict that we know for#certain was not intended to go to her. calm down & just enjoy your man without being weird & misogynistic dear god.)#(also if you like clem & jane you will like holly robinson & selina kyle dc)#twdg jane#jane twdg#twdg

honestly at this point as silly as it might sound (not to me but that's a #clarifier) I do recognize that a good chunk of the people who might not really get the nuances or ford's story or behave in Annoying behavior are probably also abuse/trauma survivors themselves so it's less maddening because I think people are Willfully Stupid(tm) and more that I wish people recognized these things for what they are, even in fiction, and realized how interconnected fiction is with the rest of our society and perceived values, and such. like part of the whole Thing is that abuse is overwhelmingly prevalent in our society and we should probably be able to talk about it more, represent it in fiction more, and stop treating it like it's the most dire topic on earth to have any discussion about. idk. <- normal cartoon post
#lab notes#like the people who say shit like 'it's JUST fiction' or 'I don't really care if it's abusive' don't wig me out just because it's annoying#it wigs me out on a deeper level in terms of our approach to abuse as a whole#like are you capable of recognizing when this happens in your real life? do you see the throughline of /why/ something is represented#a certain way in fiction or is it all meaningless mush to you? just for funsies?#gfposting

"There is two of you."
Logos leaned back in his seat, resting his head against his fist as he stared at a screen displaying Pathos, currently being buried beneath a mass of different ghostly animals. "That there is."
Distain crossed Damian's face. "Who in their right mind would ever clone the likes of you, brother?" He waved a hand at the screen, a small flash of envy that crossed his heart over seeing the clone buried beneath a mass of fluff, before blinking, and jerking his head and Daniel's direction. "Full offense."
"None taken." Logos's voice was cold and emotionless, containing a more mechanical edge due to the voice changer installed in his gas mask. "Pathos is not my clone, he is half of me." Logos raised his other hand before Damian could speak. "We were torn apart, in case you were wondering."
Damian hummed, moving his eyes away from the screen and around the lab. Giving a begrudging nod at the extreme cleanliness, and eyeing a few of the tech left around, before turning back to his twin with a raised eyebrow. "I can't imagine the reason you called me here was for a mere chat."
Logos nodded. "Pathos wishes to become a hero, yet I have a different goal." Logos stood up from his chair, walking over to Danny until he was relatively close and held out a hand. "Such that I am unable to watch over him at every turn, so, dear brother. Will you look over him in my stead?"
Damian stared at the outstretched hand, before back at Daniel's gas mask covered face. His face was calm as he stared back at his twin, before clicking his tongue. "Tt. As pathetic as always. Such incompetence that you need others to clean up whatever mess your other half will surely bring." Damian crossed his arms, glaring at his twin.
"I will not be that person, Daniel."
Logos hummed. "The probability of you saying no was quite high, so I am not surprised." He walked past Damian, beckoning his twin with a hand to follow as he stopped at a nearby table, quickly gathering a few items he sought after. "These are the objects that will 'sweeten the deal' as some would say."
Said objects looked to be a few buttons, a ball, a laser pointer, and an arm bracer.
"And you expect me to accept to watch over your other half, for mere trinkets?" Damian wrinkled his nose, as he stared at Daniel as if he were an idiot, which he very surely believes he is. "I expected you to be smarter than that, but I am not surprised by your usual incompetence."
Logos shook his head. "These are not mere trinkets, brother, and I know you recognize that as well. These," Danny picked up the few small buttons, tossing them at Damian, who easily caught them. "Will are capable of expanding into ectoplasmic nets, that will also deliver a shock to those who try to get out of them, nothing lethal, so worry not about your father having an issue with them."
Damian hummed, holding one of the buttons up to his eye. Logos waved to a nearby target that he set up for this exact circumstance. "Go ahead, try it."
Damian glanced at his twin, before throwing the button at the target. It expanded into a large net that shouldn't have been able to be held in such a small object, wrapping around the target.
"Unfortunately, you will be unable to test the shock function at this moment, so you will have to test it later on a live subject."
"Tt."
Logos tilted his head. "You seem displeased."
"That you are capable? Yes. I am."
Logos hummed, before taking up the ball. "That is a mechanical eye, you be able to see through it, which would certainly make it easier for you who stalks the night, yes?" Damian clicked his tongue, and Logos took that as enough to continue. "You will be able to look through it with these," He picked up the arm bracer in his other hand and handed both items to Damian. "The bracer connects to the eye, which will show you a live recording of what is happening on the other side." Logos turned to pick up the laser pointer, before blinking. "Ah, just will it to move, and it will. So long as you have the bracer on."
Damian stared at the bracer for a moment, before swiftly putting it on, and the mechanical eye sprang to life as soon as he finished. A screen appeared over his arm, giving him a direct look through the eye's position. He tested the movement and found it true.
"Being torn apart may have been the best thing that has happened to you, brother."
"Perhaps." Logos threw the laser pointer at Damian, which he caught. "That is a small, portable laser, while also acting as a regular laser pointer. Just twist the knob at the bottom and you'll be able to adjust it." Logos' eyes narrowed. "Do not test it in here, or anywhere near here, for that matter."
Damian pocketed it silently, before recrossing his arms. He grunted.
"Pathos will be happy to receive your cooperation, though he is quite emotional, I expect you to work around that." Logos held out a hand, and Damian stared at it for a good few moments, before begrudgingly putting his hand in his twin's for a handshake.
Damian had a foreboding feeling that he would regret ever accepting this deal, and not even a minute after meeting him he already did.
[Based off of this post, and thank you @ashfly for the name suggestions! :3]

also the notes on the last post are so bad LMAO like fundamentally mouthwashing is about the systems in place that enable abuse in the workplace. like to say any of the men "did nothing wrong" is simply incorrect and ignores the point. every man on that ship was benefitting from the system that allowed anya to be abused. jimmy's actions, while obviously made of his own free will, were informed by the environment he was in and the fact that he FELT COMFORTABLE abusing anya. he had zero regret for assaulting her, only that there was evidence (her pregnancy). this is because he fundamentally did not see abusing her as being wrong. he only expresses guilt that he tried to crash the ship, hurting curly.
#the fact that daisuke never found out was because anya didnt want him to know/be involved#but daisuke was privileged. he could be ignorant to jimmy's actions because he was being protected by swansea and because he was not#targeted. his ignorance was a privilege.#and we believe swansea didnt take any action until after anya and daisuke passed because he was trying to keep the situation#defused similar to what anya was doing#but swansea was in a position where he COULD do something. after anya told him he could have made the decision to incapacitate jimmy#swansea had to have known from anya that jimmy was capable of violence#he would have been justified in detaining him in some way#he had the chance to but instead chose to take a similar approach as anya#which she was doing for the sake of her safety.#idk just like mouthwashing is about the different roles men take to systematically oppress and abuse women#and the way capitalism enables this#confluence.txt

I hate to say this because it sounds a little sexist but I think if gym women were actually training close to failure there’s no way leg day would be so many women’s favorite day of the split. And WAY fewer would be hitting twice per week. I feel like women treat leg day like cardio.
#which is fine it’s just not an optimal growth method#they’re your largest muscle group and slowest to recover like.#also I almost never see other women at th gym grimace or grunt. are you approaching the top of your capabilities or not
