Okay, here's something @greenyvertekins and I should've done a long time ago. This post is to point out the various tags we use for specific things on here. Most of these tags are also pertinent areas of the main C:M site, some are exclusive to this site (for now).

So, if there's a particular post you're looking for, check out these tags. I'll also be linking to the main site throughout.

Chip's Photo Album: Interesting Sonic-related pictures.

Element of COOL - *character/gameplay/tone/etc.*: Starting in 2025, this tag will be used for posts containing pictures or videos that demonstrate a level of coolness I believe the Sonic franchise should emulate or borrow from. This'll be subjective, of course, as coolness is in the eye of the beholder.

If there's anything in particular you want to see, you'll have to either submit something or, preferably, join the team.

Shout out to autistic Barclay. Yeah yeah I love Data as much as the next guy but come on. The only reason we aren't calling him autistic more often in fandom I've seen is just 'cause he isn't the kind of autistic people can easily infantilize. He's weird and annoying sometimes and he stammers like a motherfucker. But he's respected by everyone around him because y'know what he's a person and a lot of the time he's right.

my ideal job would be standing in a writers room of a sitcom/tv show and making sure there are no inconsistencies or continuity issues both with the show's timeline and also with character details/already established backstories. i would be SO good at it

also, before i go to bed, i love how the liberation database just fucking lies to you. i wish that had been a mechanic that stuck around as the series leaned more into the abstergo-as-game-company angle. if templars are writing the database entries, then they should be unreliable! biased! liberation makes such good use of the concept of abstergo as an evil video game publisher between the doctored database entries and the cutscenes spliced up to hide critical information from you that everything that comes after feels kind of disappointing!

One unexpected but funny result of how my romance novel spreadsheet is set up is that I just included "Princess" as one of the descriptors in the MMC column for a book.

Aro book review: On a Summer Night by Gabriel B. Vidrine

Mixed feelings about this one.

Trans teen Casey goes to summer camp with his best friend Ella, wanting to fit in and hopefully find some romance.

While the main plot is definitely the romance, the aroace character Ella is actually quite prominent and her aroace identity is often referenced and discussed (although she is usually just referred to as ace). She has her own sub-plot about gaining confidence in her identity and dealing with aphobia.

However, there were a couple of writing choices here that bothered me. At one point in Casey's internal narration he wishes she would just go get her own boyfriend, which was an unnecessary addition. A larger and more ongoing issue was that Ella was weirdly (maybe even creepily) obsessed with Casey's romantic prospects and constantly shipping him with people.

Born in 1830, the very year of the July Monarchy and the incredibly political tension in her country and her family. Aimée, despite being descendent of an Absolutist Monarchy Family, had her father and mother being much more alliegned with a Constitutional Monarchy, which made them eventually become allies to the French and Austrian Brotherhoods of Assassins.

Born and raised in Eu, Normandy. She was kept away from the chaos of the court most of her life. Receiving the best education her father could provide, she grew up to be a refined, eloquent and clever young woman. A lover of the arts and it's many forms.

Although her family's political connections to the Brotherhood, Aimée never showed interest in taking part in such business. Fearing what the connection between this other secret society could bring to her loved ones (Her family already have once being alliegned to the French Rite of the Templar Order), her worries would triple as her older sister, Félicité, married a Master Assassin of the Dutch Brotherhood and becamed an active ally to their cause.

She herself would dwell more into this world after being married to Carlos Rafael Cotoner y Moncada, Conde de Tortosa. Despite being arranged, love bloomed among the couple, that would go on and have five children, even if only two were born.

As the wife and mother of Spanish Master Assassins, her role in the Creed would fortify. The years spent among the Tenents would make her shape her world views to one closer to the Assassins, however, she never truly accepted or approved her husband and daughter's role in this. For she always lived afraid of loosing them in this secret war.

A loving mother, a caring wife, a noblewoman of the House of Bourbon, descendent of the very Capetian Dynasty, proud of her family and legacy... A woman who left her mark on history for her donations to charities and her work in the development of arts and music.
