Droughts are just opportunities for God to do miraculous things in our lives. Let it be a friendly reminder to self that He is the God who makes rivers in the dessert— the same God who brings in the abundance of rain.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, and against the worldly governors, the princes of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness, which are in the high places.

Living in a town where Christianity isn’t prevalent at all, I’m finding it so difficult to find a faith-based community :(

i think the most beautiful thing in christianity is that every one of us can say to themself: "i'm the one whom God loves the most" and every one of us would be totally right.

Safety Announcement:
Hello mutuals, followers, and strangers! Since the last month of March, of the two recent school shootings (one attempted and one fully carried out), they were by two trans shooters. Because of this it makes everyone have their eyes on the trans community in suspicion of more copycat shooters and there is likely going to be people of different communities most likely the religious community will start targeting (mainly the rogue and vigilante types) trans people.
So anybody who is trans (trans men, trans women, or trans enby) should make sure that when they go out, they hide their pronoun pins, any flags, or any sort of indicator of their gender identity. Even if you have to use your dead name and old pronouns, make sure to be careful at all times, as times are getting tricky.
Anybody from the religious community should be careful in their churches and religious schools, and should mainly stay at home if they want to do any religious study. Do it by Zoom, Skype, or anything else you do to communicate virtually. You have to be careful of any rogue member of other communities targeting you for any personal reasons.
I wish all of you safety.
- Al

Hello! My friend @holyfishsticksironman and I have been working on a sort of next-gen story of The Breakfast Club. The series mainly follows Demi Bender, John Bender's daughter. It's coming of age/slice of life, and explores a life of John being saved, and what that looks like for mainly his daughter, but also the people around them.
Demi is a lot like her father, and her story mirrors his as she struggles at Shermer High. Then, she transfers to Lyncoya High in Tennessee, and discovers a whole new set of problems: the most prominent one being Robby Taylor.
My story within her universe follows four kids that make up the Char Squad: Harlow, Lotte, CJ, and Charlie, who are absolutely Going Through It. My story plays on the line from TBC, "When you grow up...your heart dies," and the question: "Are we gonna be like our parents?"
If you'd like to check either of our stories out, here are the links!! Or if not, please share if you don't mind.

When Jesus, God Himself, was on Earth, He chose twelve men to do life with Him. They camped with Him, ate with Him, and saw what He looked like first thing in the morning when He got up. They saw the look in His eyes when He looked at the hurting, and they heard the inflection in His voice when He spoke. They saw the laugh lines around His eyes, knew what His smile looked like, and heard what His laugh sounded like. They knew what foods He liked to eat and how He cooked. When God Himself walked on Earth, He chose closeness. He chose community. Jesus could have gone around all alone. If there was any man who could have been an island, it was Jesus. But He wasn’t. Of all the ways God could have chosen to live on earth, this is what He chose: community. There’s something about closeness and community that’s beautiful and important. Life isn’t fully life without it. So, ask God for your community. Ask God for the group of people who you can be close and do life with. Closeness with people is the way God designed life and the way He chose to live it.

I remember going to bible study (about 12 or 13 years ago) our plan was to save people from salvation and they wouldn't burn in a holy fire. So we made these notes that had scriptures of the bible and little reminders how jesus will be resurrected and we will save us blah blah blah. We decorated them and the next day, was going into book stores in our local city and put these notes in the science, other religions, atheists books and so on.
At the last minute, I threw mine away without anyone noticing. I got my notepad and I wrote "you matter" or "someone out there loves you" or "I love your outfit today" or "you look cute today" or "if no one loves you, then a complete stranger loves you" or "I'm happy you are alive". Or something like that, with a lot of love hearts and smiley faces.
We all watched as people went to look at the books and of course, everyone got mad. Especially the Muslim people, but they got kicked out for being a terrorist 🙄.
While other people found my notes and some of them cried, some of them took photos and smiled and some of them kept the notes. My bible study found out and said "it's blasphemous for what you're doing! You are going to hell. How dare you not preach the word of god". I kept arguing that no one asked to see Christianity, not everyone wants to be a Christian. They nearly kicked me out, but after that, I wasn't allowed to go to the city with them.
Years later, I went to the book stores we went in and I saw their pictures on the wall of banned people. They were banned, I'm like, no way!!! But the women said there were a bunch of these notes, saying how I saved someone's life and one girl had a breakup and it cheered her day. I never said It was me, inside it made me happy.

¹⁷ “You can throw us into the blazing furnace. The God we serve is able to save us from the furnace and your power. If He does this, it is good. ¹⁸ But even if God does not save us, we want you, our king, to know this: We will not serve your gods. We will not worship the gold statue you have set up.”

What are we doing? Really, church. What are we doing? We are the salt of the earth, but what good is salt if it's lost its savor? Why have we gone back to the snares that God once delivered us from? Why have we turned back to the sin that Jesus already freed us from? We've placed our candles underneath bushels in hopes of avoiding persecution. Our spirit has grown deprived while our flesh is yet to still be satisfied. We've been filled with everything but the Spirit and lulled to sleep in the comfort of our own sin. We are the light of the world, saints. It's time that we start walking in this truth.

Wherefore, let us also, seeing that we are compassed with so great a cloud of witnesses, cast away everything that presseth down, and the sin that hangeth so fast on: let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Impacting Lives for Christ: Serving for His Glory and the Edification of Others
Christian service and ministry should glorify God and edify others. Glorifying God means our words and actions reflect positively on Him (1 Cor 10:31). Edifying others means we help and encourage them in their growth and development as Christian disciples (1 Th 5:11). Because we cannot live what we do not know, it’s imperative that we study the Bible for ourselves (2 Tim 2:15), and also benefit…
