Everytime I remember that Eddie motherfucking Diaz decided to make this guy who he’s known for less than two years the LEGAL GUARDIAN TO HIS CHILD, and THEN doesn’t say a word to him about it for another year, and only does when said guy says it should’ve been him who was shot in Eddie’s place, and has been entirely reckless ever since Eddie was shot repeatedly risking his life so he doesn’t lose the people he cares about, JUST SO THAT HE MAKES SURE THE GUY DOESNT DO SOMETHING STUPID AND RECKLESS AGAIN … well I’m entirely normal about that.

i know we've gotten eddie's side of things by virtue of him being a main character and shannon being a character in his story, but please for a second can we remember that before shannon's frontal lobe was finished developing she got pregnant, got married, lost her partner to the army without warning, went through a traumatizing birth, had her son diagnosed with cp, and had to deal with all of this in an in-law environment that was Less Than Ideal without a support system of her own separate from her husband

and then her mother got CANCER and was dying alone in another state and when shannon told her husband she wanted to move closer to her to take care of her he had the audacity to ask for TIME when her mother was DYING

and THEN after she made a horribly painful choice to leave her son so she could spend her mother's last months with her she finds out her husband moved to the very city she begged for them to move to bc of a job he could literally have Anywhere

shannon made some questionable choices i'm not saying she didn't but bestie no WONDER she wanted a divorce. the man she married was a stranger and the few concrete things she knew about him by s2 were not conducive to love. eddie was and is a great father but he was genuinely a horrible husband, and the fact that shannon could recognize that and choose herself is incredible to me.

Happy father’s day to the scene where Eddie says that Chris wants to spend the day with his Buck. And to the scene where Eddie says there’s no one he trusts more with Chris than Buck. Buck is fucking tired of living with his parents.

He’s nearly thirty years old for Christ’s sake, and he is sick to death of being at their beck and call, of having to bend to their every whim, of being constantly scrutinized while also being constantly ignored. For his entire life he has been buried beneath their thumbs, his weak, aching, fragile body pushed further and further into the ground until dry soil and broken twigs flood his mouth, left to rot with the mark of their fingerprints burned so deeply into him that there’s no way of removing them.

Buck is the son of the president of the United States and is finally moving out of the White House. His new home comes with new neighbors, Eddie and Christopher Diaz, who quickly become the center of Buck's world.

But despite being out from under his parent's thumb, Buck's life is messy and complicated and ruled by the fact that he is the First Son which means he is always under the watchful eyes of his bodyguards. None of that stops him from pursuing a life with the Diaz boys, but there are many complications, some of which he isn't even aware of. Yet

Do you ever think about how in 2x02 there's an earthquake and Eddie is so worried about Christopher, keeps trying to call him and desperate to pick him up and hug him and just get home and then exactly one year later a tsunami hits and Eddie is the calmest we've ever seen him and it never even occurs to him that Chris might be in danger because he knows Chris is with Buck so even if he hasn't talked to him that means he's safe and Eddie doesn't have to worry not even for one second.

THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!! WOOO! So that means, NFL Buck will not be going on a break lol. Also that Taylor and Travis post game PDA. OMG. Anywho, here is a short snippet from NFL Buck in Christopher's POV once again, post lash out. (All previous NFL Buck posts can be found here)

Christopher barely hears the three light taps to his door and the panic that had been a subtle thrum since being sent to his room, sky rockets. The consequences of his earlier outburst we're finally here and he is scared of what is to come. "Hey buddy, can I come in?" Buck's gentle voice takes Christopher completely by surprise. "Buck?" Chris asks for confirmation because he was expecting his dad and Buck is supposed to be at a dinner with some team mates for bonding. Being home early meant Chris's dad called him, which Eddie only did when he is truly upset.

Well, now Christopher felt like an even bigger jerk. "Yea kid its just me." Buck answers. He doesn't sound angry, but then again, he's never gotten angry with Chris. "Safe for me to enter?" Chris hesitates for a moment, trying to figure out if Buck was sent by his dad or if this is the quarterback's own doing. Either way, he would much rather face an over concerned Buck first than his upset father. "Its okay." he finally answers, sitting up on his bed. Buck pushes open the door then shuts it behind him once he's inside the younger Diaz's room. Dressed in jeans, a nice green button up, and the baby yoda socks Chris gifted him for his birthday, Buck makes his way over to the queen sized bed and plops down next to Christopher. Wrapping a muscled arm around his shoulder, Buck pulls Chris to his side in a tight hug. "You up for talking?" the older man asks. Christopher can't help but lean into his warm embrace, but is scared to meet his gaze, "Did dad send you?" Buck squeezes him tighter, "Yes and no. He called me and I'm not telling you this to make you feel bad or anything, but he was upset and asked for back up. Gave me the gist of what went down and I told him I would talk to you. Thought you could use a sounding board and a little more time and space from your dad."

Don't worry. Eddie and Chris will be talking too. Hope you all enjoyed!
