Soooo, i’ve been following u for a while (adore ur microfics btw ❤️) and now I require advice… thankfully you’re good at that. 

So i’m straight. And i’ve fallen in love with this guy. He’s adorable and sweet and brave and honestly the best person I know. I met him about a month and a half ago at a work thing (he doesn’t work where I work tho, not that it matters) and we’ve been dating ever since. 

We haven’t done anything sex related yet (don’t worry this isn’t abt that). But the other day I decided we should talk about it, because he seemed super bothered by the idea (i had a hunch he might’ve been ace, which I was fine with) but it turns out it’s not that, he’s trans. 

He told me he transitioned pretty young, and that he’s had top surgery but not bottom. I reassured him this doesn’t change anything, cause it doesn’t, but to be honest, i’ve never really been around trans people? I know queer people but i’ve never had a trans friend or anything. So i’m worried about how to do this right. 

I assume it’s best to just be normal? Sex has never really mattered to me that much, so I guess in that regard i’ll just go with the flow of whatever. But I just thought, is there anything I should know or think about? 

I think this could be a really great relationship, we want the same things and get on so well. 

Maybe i’m being panicky, trying to make sure I don’t do anything that could hurt him. He asked me if it was okay that he’s trans because i’m straight. I told him that I love him and I don’t doubt that. And that I still feel straight. I still love a man. I wouldn’t really aline my sexuality with genitals anyway? 

I don’t know. I’m nervous I guess. I’ve been in plenty of different types of relationships. Good and bad. And I just don’t want to mess up or make him uncomfortable or not notice a hint he’s trying to give me?

AHHHH I think this is so cute. The fact that you're being thoughtful enough to ask is UGH. SO sweet.

So, you're ABSOLUTELY right. Sexuality has to do with gender, not body parts. So you're a girl (I'm assuming) and you're straight. Meaning you're attracted to boys. And this person, trans or not, is a boy. Simple! The fact that he is worried about your reaction is probably because he's experienced transphobia in the past. For this, just remind him that you see him as a boy, regardless of his body parts.

Trans people can deal with something called 'dysphoria' meaning they are uncomfortable (physically or mentally) because they feel like their expression or body doesn't match the gender they identify as. Dysphoria can be caused by anything - looking in the mirror and seeing something they don't like, a comment from someone else (even unintentional), or intimacy (amongst other things).

As far as sex, I'm going to break my rules here and give you some advice because I think it's important.

Sex could cause dysphoria. It's super important to note that every trans person is different. Some experience extreme dysphoria, others just a bit, others none at all! The same thing is true with intimacy- every trans person (just like cis people) has different preferences with intimacy. But this is especially true because for some trans people, intimacy could cause dysphoria because you're interacting with body parts that are normally not as...interacted with, lol.

Because of this, its super important to communicate. Ask him what he's comfortable with. What does he/doesn't he want you to touch? If you're going to use dirty talk, does he prefer certain terms for his body parts?

But here's the thing- communication is important for good, healthy sex anyways. And for a healthy relationship. And it's much better to just ask. Asking questions isn't wrong, and it shows that you don't want to make him uncomfortable. It could also be a great idea to make it clear what you've said to me- you see him as a boy, you don’t want to mess up or make him uncomfortable or not notice a hint he’s trying to give you.

Keep the communication open and everything will be fine <3

The last time there was a shooting at a queer nightclub, I was at a hotel in a different country with spotty internet. I read about the horror and the deaths aline, weeping. This time, I am isolated in my home, unable again to physically be able to bed in queer space in person, and most not having virtual options. Not one single cis het friend or colleague has reached out to me (edited: one accomplice shared joy of her kiddo and I am realizing that might be a checkin). Again, I feel alone, this time numb. I’ve spent so much time over the last few years fighting homophobia and transphobia in person and professional spaces, and I feel like I have been screaming into the void. Again, the lack of community care, of checking in on your people, of cis het folks moving up and commuting to reducing anti-LGBTQ hate (especially coming up with the holidays)…well, the silence is something.

Today, I put on my #FemmeArmor; make up, big earrings, and a bright dress, to try and get through today, after spending all of yesterday in bed, barely able to move as I texted friends, gathered resources, wrote to the queer and trans students at my school. I am not ok. We are not ok. I keep thinking that horribly enough, the ableism in society that requires me to be lonely and isolated at home because no one gives a crap about whether disabled people are able to safely be in society has also protected me from more direct anti-LGBTQ and anti-Jew hate. How fucked is it that one form of violence protects me from another? Please check in on your queer and trans friends. We are tired and we are not ok.

Viola's an Ilocano girl born and raised in Ilocos Sur. She was a very intelligent and driven woman with a keen interest in all things occult. She was also having some trouble keeping up with the demands of life in the provinces. Besides that, much of her backstory is a mystery and she can barely remember much of it either. ALIN DOGAN

Alin is, yet again, a Filipino chick. Born in the slums of Manila, now living in Manhattan, Alin was once a little Filipino boy who wanted to be the next Miss Universe. Alin would work hard to achieve her dream... sacrificing so much along the way... and though she could barely compete with cis girls for modelling jobs, she was eventually offered one by some motherfucker in the US! The guy was skeevy, however, and Alin found that she was very unhappy with her situation, but it did keep her housed and fed. She eventually meets her sire, Kilgore, at a networking event. He, too, was looking for models... and there she was. She would be trained for the next few months before her embrace, after which she was invited with open arms into a, small but popular, network of Toreador models in New York. She is quite good at Celerity and Presence, using the latter to her advantage amongst clueless kine.

Un film de Léa Domenach, avec Catherine Deneuve, Denis Podalydeès, Michel Vuillermoz, Laurent Stocker, Sara Giraudeau…

Nous l’avons vu le jour de sa sortie, mercredi, à la première séance de l’après-midi. On dit que le nombre de spectateurs qui assistent à cette projection présage du nombre d’entrées que le film fera durant son exploitation. En gros, s’il y a du monde, c’est bon signe. Mais le bouche à oreille compte aussi beaucoup. Notre Billet y contribuera peut-être…

Nous n’avions pas envie de nous prendre la tête ce jour-là, les avis étant bons dans l’ensemble (à part celui du critique du journal Libération… mais nous y sommes habitués… il est tellement aigri et pétri dans ses convictions qu’on pourrait en faire une marque de vinaigre !), du coup, nous y sommes allés, espérant assister à un petit film français sympathique.

Eh bien, nous nous sommes trompés : « Bernadette » est un petit film français INTELLIGENT et « TRÈS » SYMPATHIQUE !!!

Résumé : Quand elle arrive à l’Élysée, Bernadette Chirac s’attend à obtenir enfin la place qu’elle mérite, elle qui a toujours œuvré dans l’ombre de son mari pour qu’il devienne président. Mais tout de suite mise de côté car jugée trop ringarde, Bernadette décide alors de prendre sa revanche en devenant une figure médiatique incontournable.

Critique : « Bernadette » est le premier long métrage de Léa Domenach. On pouvait être surpris de voir entreprendre un biopic sur une Première Dame de France, les personnalités de cette catégorie n’ayant brillé ni par leur parcours et ni par leur charisme, de Yvonne de Gaulle à Carla Bruni, en passant par Anne-Aymone Giscard d’Estaing. Conseillère générale de la Corrèze et ambassadrice des « pièces jaunes », Bernadette Chirac, née Bernadette Thérèse Marie Chodron de Courcel, n’évoque ni le glamour ni la vivacité d’esprit, et l’on comprend que la réalisatrice ait souhaité adopter le ton de la comédie satirique pour tracer les années de sa vie entre 1995 (première victoire présidentielle de son époux) et 2007 (fin de son second mandat). En même temps, la veuve de l’ancien président étant à l’heure actuelle très âgée et mal en point, le choix du burlesque moqueur pouvait sembler inapproprié. Léa Domenach trouve le ton juste, passant du comique de situation irrévérencieux à la comédie de mœurs au ton plus sombre, tentant de réhabiliter une femme longtemps raillée, en brossant le portrait d’une épouse délaissée et ringardisée tentant de prendre sa revanche. Et cela sans tomber dans l’hagiographie. Un peu comme le fit Valérie Lemercier pour Céline Dion avec « Aline ». S’inspirant de faits réels, Léa Domenach fait donc (re) vivre à l’écran des membres de l’entourage de Bernadette Chirac, dont le Président (Michel Vuillermoz), leur fille Claude (Sara Giraudeau) ou Nicolas Sarlozy (Laurent Stocker).

En dépit de quelques erreurs historico-politiques, l’ensemble est bien documenté et, à l’instar d’un Sacha Guitry, la réalisatrice n’omet pas de rappeler quelques anecdotes, comme la prémonition de Bernadette Chirac sur l’échec de la dissolution de l’Assemblée Nationale en 1997 ou la présence de l’Extrême Droite au second tour des présidentielles 2002. Mais l’essentiel est ailleurs : quand le récit imagine la volonté de la présidente d’échapper au rôle effacé qu’on lui assigne, à l’aide d’un conseiller en communication lui-même frustré (réjouissant Denis Podalydès). Et les scènes de fiction se mélangent subtilement avec des archives.

Certes, « Bernadette » n’est pas le biopic du siècle et la réalisatrice n’échappe pas au travers de l’esprit Guignols de l’info, même si elle déclare avoir voulu s’en détourner. Son scénario, tout comme sa mise en scène dévoilant volontairement des décors kitsch, évoque un peu trop le « Potiche » de François Ozon, autre histoire de vengeance d’une bourgeoise flouée, et déjà interprétée par Catherine Deneuve, dont la longévité de vedettariat impressionne. Il n’empêche que le métrage est (très) plaisant et que l’on passe un (très) bon moment.

Un roi redoutable

« Il existe une loi portant peine de mort contre quiconque, homme ou femme, entre chez le roi, dans la cour intérieure, sans avoir été appelé. ; celui-la seul a la vie sauve, à qui le roi tend le sceptre d’or. » (Esther 4.11)

Malheur à ceux qui déplaisaient aux rois de l’Antiquité, car leur châtiment était terrible : l’exil, la prison ou même la mort ! Dans la Bible, le roi Assuérus nous en fournit l’exemple. Il était :

• inflexible : lorsque sa première épouse, la reine Vashi, a refusé de se rendre au festin du roi et de ses convives, elle a été répudiée pour toujours, sans autre forme de procès, sans avoir la moindre possibilité de plaider sa cause. Pour elle, pas de seconde chance possible !

• inaccessible : sa seconde épouse, Esther, avait besoin de lui parler, mais elle ne pouvait pas s’approcher de lui sans convocation, sous peine de risquer sa vie. Or, le roi ne l’avait pas appelée depuis trente jours !

• imprévisible : la reine s’est finalement décidée à aller trouver le roi, en sachant que si celui-ci ne lui tendait pas son sceptre, elle serait mise à mort. Elle redoutait tellement cette entrevue qu’elle a jeûné pendant trois jours avec ses servantes et qu’elle a demandé à tout le peuple juif d’en faire autant. Sans avoir rien fait de mal, elle n’avait aucune assurance d’être bien reçue par le roi. Elle était à la merci de son humeur changeante.

Quelle différence avec notre Roi, le Dieu tout-puissant ! Loin d’être inflexible, il est toujours prêt à nous pardonner et à nous bénir quand nous venons à lui avec un cœur repentant. Il est le Dieu des secondes chances, et même infiniment plus.

Grâce au sacrifice de Jésus sur la croix, il est toujours accessible. Son sceptre nous est tendu en permanence, et nous pouvons entrer sans crainte dans sa cour intérieure, car il se réjouit d’entendre notre voix.

Parce qu’il n’y a en lui ni changement ni ombre de variation, nous pouvons avoir pleinement confiance en lui. Il nous recevra chaque jour, à chaque instant, de jour comme de nuit puisqu’« il ne sommeille ni ne dort. »

Pourquoi nous priver de la merveilleuse présence d’un tel Roi ? Pourquoi ne pas courir à lui sans cesse, lui crier notre reconnaissance et lui faire part de tout ce qui nous préoccupe ?

«Approchons-nous donc avec assurance du trône de la grâce, afin d’obtenir miséricorde et de trouver grâce, pour être secourus dans nos besoins. » (Hébreux 4.16)

Quand je pense à tous les rois cruels et à tous les despotes de l’Histoire, combien je veux m’émerveiller chaque jour d’avoir un Dieu si bon, si accessible et si fidèle !

Poate consideri că nu te respect, de fapt, știu că asta crezi, tocmai de aceea nu îți arăt ție, ci mie, că o fac. Că te respect și te apreciez. Nu am de gând să îmi îndrept gândurile negative către persoana care a însemnat într-un anumit punct al vieții parte din mine. Și am pierdut acea parte din mine. Nu am de gând să mă pierd și pe mine cu totul, deja am pierdut prea multe frânturi atunci când te-ai rupt din mine. Nu am de gând să mă las devorată de durerea și dezamăgirea pe care ai lăsat-o în urma ta.

Vreau să îmi amintesc și să îmi reclădesc iubirea și empatia din care eram construită odată. Să încerc să mă lupt cu toată umbra care am devenit.

Vreau să cred că am dezvoltat o maturitate care mă va lăsa să iert, și pe tine, și pe mine.

Nu am de gând să îmi mai mint orgoliul cu postări care mă fac să mă simt puternică, sa simt că dețin dreptatea. Dreptatea poate fi subiectivă, se poate afla in ochiul, sufletul său gândul privitorului. Dar nu sunt puternică, sunt vulnerabilă. Și în toată vulnerabilitatea care ma definește, aleg sa mă gândesc la lucrurile bune care s-au întâmplat, la cele care mă făceau fericită. Se întâmplă prea multe lucruri rele acum, ca să îmi aglomerez sufletul și așa aproape mort, cu frustrările și durerile trecutului.

De ce toate astea? Pentru că te iubesc. Pentru că învăț să mă iubesc. Am spus-o de multe ori, iubirea nu e suficientă. Și chiar nu e. Dar cred că sentimentele cele mai pure construiesc cele mai strașnice lucruri în viață.

Nu m-aș fi gândit că o să ducem o luptă tacită. Nu e nevoie sa auzi unele cuvinte, nici măcar să vezi o persoană, ca să simți că există o interacțiune, când cea spirituală e atât de puternică. Dar aceasta interacțiune consider că nu mă definește, că nu ne definește. Am fost puternici împreună, știu că putem fi și separat. Și în acest caz, de ce ne luptăm? Ce demonstrăm, când nu e nimic de demonstrat? Lucrurile bune ne-au legat mereu. Lucrurile rele ne-au îndepărtat mereu. Aleg sa îmi alin sufletul cu armonie. Deci...

Insetti in casa: ospiti molto indesiderati

Gli insetti in casa sono una presenza tutt'altro che gradita. Quando poi vanno ad attaccare le scorte alimentari custodite nelle nostre dispense sono addirittura dannosi. Ci costringono a cestinare prodotti non consumati e addirittura in confezioni intonse. Negli ultimi tempi si è inasprita la guerra casalinga tra umani e insetti in perfetto stile leone e gazzella africani. I primi attenti a tenere costantemente tutto pulito e in ordine, i secondi che proliferano sempre più numerosi grazie a temperature e umidità più elevati. Bando alle metafore, la pulizia all'interno delle dispense non è solo una questione di igiene ma anche di gestione economica della casa. La lotta allo spreco alimentare passa anche da una corretta gestione delle nostre case. Valeria Paradiso, Responsabile Tecnico Anticimex Srl, ci ricorda quali sono le buone abitudini da osservare per non avere brutte sorprese. I risultati ottenuti da diversi studi effettuati, in condizioni di temperatura elevata, su diverse specie di insetti di interesse alimentare, hanno decretato uno sviluppo maggiore e una sopravvivenza minore di queste specie. Ciò comporta il rischio di una maggiore presenza nelle case con conseguente danno dei prodotti e alterazione delle proprietà organolettiche. Se dovesse consigliare le famiglie come raccomanderebbe loro di conservare i prodotti in dispensa? E’ importante non lasciare le confezioni aperte per molto tempo, meglio riporre gli alimenti in contenitori a chiusura ermetica. In questo modo, se presente un’infestazione, non si diffonde alle confezioni adiacenti. Quali alimenti sono rischiosi perché soggetti a brutte sorprese come l'attacco di insetti? Alimenti quali pasta, pane, riso e spezie sono attaccati sia da lepidotteri che coleotteri che hanno come substrato di proliferazione tali derrate. Cioccolato, caffè e farina sono attaccati più frequentemente da Lepidotteri delle derrate come per esempio la Tignola della farina. Quali sono le mosse giuste per evitare gli insetti nella dispensa? Al momento dell’acquisto, è possibile rilevare un’infestazione solo in casi sporadici e solo per alcuni alimenti, come per esempio la pasta; le confezioni costituite da packaging trasparenti possono permettere di scorgere la presenza di coleotteri come per esempio il Punteruolo della pasta. In ogni caso, è possibile individuare solo gli adulti di tale insetto e non gli altri stadi vitali come larve o uova. Si consiglia di verificare sempre che le confezioni da acquistare siano integre. The point of intersection of the angle bisectors of a triangle is called its Incenter. The distance of the incenter from all the sides of the triangle is equal. The altitude subtended from the incenter of a triangle to any of its sides is called the Inradius of the triangle. The Incenter is the center of the inscribed circle (Incircle) of the triangle.

Let a △ABC in which BC=a, AC=b, and AB=c. The length of its semi-perimeter is ‘s’ and its area is represented by △.

Then, the length of its Inradius (r)=△/s s=(a+b+c)/2

Here is the formula of the length of the Inradius of a Right angle triangle, with proof.

∆ABC is a Right angle triangle, ∠B=90°. AB=p, BC=b & hypotenuse AC=h. The length of the Inradius of the triangle is r then find the length of AI, where I is the Incenter of the triangle.

In quadrilateral ALIN, ∠ALI+∠ANI=180° (Sum of opposite angles =180°)

So, ALIN is the Cyclic Quadrilateral. Similarly, CMIN is also a Cyclic Quadrilateral.
