Dr. Joe Dispenza on how stress is controlling your life...
If emotions are a record of the past, it makes sense then that if you stay living in those emotions every day, you can't believe in a new future (or even see one) because you are looking at your future through the lens of the past. No new information can come into your nervous system that is not equal to the emotion you are experiencing. Why? Because it's not relevant, so no friend or person's advice is going to make sense to you until you start doing the work to trade the painful emotions of your past for an elevated emotion of your future.
If you think you are your feelings, you're going to have a hard time moving on. To combat these feelings, you need to get up every day, keep working with your body, keep watching your thoughts, keep up with your meditation practice, and stay away from your past. Lots of people believe that by thinking through or analyzing your past you will be able to resolve your problems, but what you want is the wisdom from your past—and wisdom is the memory without the emotional charge. I have seen enough brain scans of so many people (in real time) who are analyzing their past and their lives within some disturbing emotion—and I can tell you it always makes their brains worse and more incoherent. The bottom line is, if you believed there was a better future, you wouldn't stay lost in the past. Your dreams lives outside the analysis that exists in the box of your emotional past.
We're 5 percent conscious mind, 95 percent subconscious mind. The behavior of allowing the past to become your future has become a very profoundly distinct program for that person. They lose interest in any other thing that is not related to the emotion they're experiencing. In fact, no new information can enter their nervous system that isn't equal to the emotion that they're experiencing because it's not relevant. They're in survival. Survival says be prepared for what's about ready to happen.

This is me in bed. At 11 am on a Saturday morning. Atypical of IG photos: I feel like I was rode hard and put up wet (an old cowboy saying) and my cat has been sent by the other animals to say: where is the food lady • I get horribly ill from avocado and must have had some in yesterday's lunch out and was up most of the night (or I have a bug but intuitively I don't think so) • During one of my waves of illness I was reminded about the mantra conversation I had yesterday on my IG video. I recommend using those when you are feeling unwell too. BUT. And this is a huge but. Always keep your wording positive. For instance I'd never say "I do not want Crohn's." Look at that sentence. It has "want Crohn's" in it. I certainly don't want my mind-body zeroing in on that part of the message. More effective: "my body is healing -- I am at ease." Stressed: "I am calm and relaxed" • The lesson is putting it in reference to the positive change you want and not any mention of the negative feelings or concerns because we do not want to subconsciously reinforce them • Center your breathing and relax & this can be a powerful form of self-hypnosis for you • • #healingmantras #cognitiverestructuring #holistichealth #mindbodyspirit #healthyself heal*thy*self #killedcrohns #psychology #selfcare #health (at Inner Bliss)
