Lemon Lychee Martinis
1 (15-oz) can whole lychees in syrup
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup water
zest and juice of 2 lemons
½ cup vodka
¼ cup Soho lychee liqueur OR another ¼ cup lychee syrup
2 Tbsp. Cointreau or triple sec
Remove 4 lychees from the can and skewer on decorative toothpicks/cocktail skewers, 2 per skewer. Place on a small baking sheet or plate and place in the freezer until frozen firm. Reserve for garnish.
Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Cook for a minute or so or until the sugar is dissolved. Pour the syrup into a blender along with the remaining lychees and the lychee syrup. Zest and juice the lemons into the mixture and then puree until completely smooth. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer and discard the solids. Refrigerate the lemon lychee syrup until cold.
When ready to serve, combine the vodka, lychee liqueur, Cointreau, and ¼ cup of the lemon lychee syrup in a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until well chilled and then pour into chilled martini glasses. Garnish with the skewered lychees and lemon twists and serve.

It's funny cause when I drink the first thing that happens before I even get drunk is I begin to slur my speech. Second thing is my left eye begins to go further to the left (I have a bit of a lazy eye and if I'm not paying attention it just sorta does that normally)
So like. Drinks one drink. Gets apparently really drunk. Isn't even that drunk. Begins to feels really sleepy. Is my M.O. at parties. That's why I shouldn't drink

Sidecar !
Ingredients:
2 ounces VSOP Cognac, Armagnac, or good California brandy
1 ounce Cointreau
3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
Superfine sugar, for garnish (optional)
Orange or lemon twist, for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Optional: Prepare cocktail glass by making a slit in a lemon wedge and running the cut edge around the rim of the glass; then dip the rim in a saucer of superfine sugar to create a thin crust. Chill the glass until needed.
Combine brandy, Cointreau, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake well until chilled, about 10 seconds. Strain into prepared glass; garnish with a twist of orange or lemon peel, if the urge comes across.

Easy Frozen Margaritas Authentic margaritas call for lots of fresh lime juice - both expensive and time-consuming. I've found I can shortcut the process by using frozen limeade. And for a festive non-alcoholic drink, combine a 12-ounce can of limeade thawed with a 48-ounce bottle of sparkling water.

Corpse Reviver No. 2
Tumblr media
Corpse Revivers have been popular hangover cures since the 19th Century, but one doesn't need to be tipsy to indulge in these tipples! Corpse Reviver No. 2, my favourite of the lot, is indeed best enjoyed sober, I reckon; its delectable tartness enhanced by a hint of sweetness (from the orange liqueur) and a dash of herbaceous flavour (from the absinthe)! It certainly does lift one's spirits up! Cheers!
Ingredients (serves 1):
1/4 teaspoon absinthe
6 large ice cubes
22.5 millilitres/3/4 fluid ounces (1 1/2 tablespoon) London Dry Gin
22.5 millilitres/3/4 fluid ounces (1 1/2 tablespoon) Lillet Blanc
22.5 millilitres/3/4 fluid ounces (1 1/2 tablespoon) orange liqueur (like Cointreau)
1/2 juicy lemon
Pour absinthe in a chilled coupe glass, and swirl it around the glass before pouring it out, to rinse.
Place ice cubes in a shaker.
Top with Gin, Lillet Blanc and Cointreau.
Thoroughly squeeze in the juice of the lemon halve.
Close shaker tightly and shake energetically until well-chilled.
Strain into prepared coupe glass.
Enjoy Corpse Reviver No.2 immediately.
