Mission mode change detected, now in Monument Mode Goodnight friends. After exchanging our final bits of data,

I will hold vigil on this spot in Mare Crisium to watch humanity's continued journey to the stars.

Here, I will outlast your mightiest rivers, your tallest mountains, and perhaps even your species as we know it.

But it is remarkable that a species might be outlasted by its own ingenuity.

Here lies Blue Ghost, a testament to the team who, with the loving support of their families and friends, built and operated this machine and its payloads,

to push the capabilities and knowledge of humanity one small step further.

So, when looking at the website and looking at the galleries, I found an old marker piece I had done of Swift Star, and seeing it was done about two years ago, I thought I'd try redrawing it, since my style has changed a bit since then. There was also the fact that I had to buy a new dark grey marker because I use dark grey for black and, well, I used up my old one, and I needed to, you know, test it. :P

Swift Star turned out well. The dark grey marker is a little stiffer than I'm used to, but it's fine. It does it's job. I sort of forgot it was a grey and ended up darkening it on Swift Star's pants before remembering, lol. But she looks fine! I like her. I even like the little light I gave her.

BUT THEN I got to thinking, since Swift Star turned out so nice, why not do others? So I did Matrix next, and he turned out great, so the next logical step is going ahead and doing the other two main characters, Dead Volt and Cosmic Moon.

The current behind Matrix is actually how I see the electrical currents that he sees - I have no idea why I see them as blue, but there you go. Dead Volt is holding a bubble of his power canceling power, although it's nothing actually visible. And lol, I accidentally inked the sword Cosmic Moon is holding rather than keep it lined with pencil to give it an intangible feeling like the others, but oh well. Her's is a bit more solid than the others, after all.

Over all, these were fun to do. I always forget how fun marker colored pieces are until I do a bunch of them, lol.

One of my favourite historical and religious studies things is when people try and ascribe real world explanations onto things that are obviously made up or mythological or people's interpretations of something.

"what if goliath was actually someone who suffered from X medical condition?" Hear me out here: what if he's a character from a story?

"What if the fruit in the garden of eden was actually a psychoactive mushroom?" have we considered that maybe was a story and not something that actually existed?

"It's possible that jesus suffered from this specific medical condition because supposedly blood and water came out of his side" or perhaps that is a story and/or metaphor and maybe didn't actually happen

yes you can sometimes argue it's people applying an interesting modern lense to things to get an idea of what real world things might have been the inspirations for things, but for more frequently it's people who earnestly believe the bible is accurate history and are trying to prove that.
