An amazing new review of my game The Magical Land of Yeld: 2nd Edition from Cozy RPG Reviews. If you were interested in Yeld, I think this might be the review that gets you to pick up the book! "Its one of the most cleverly deigned games I've ever encountered. Fine tuning its accessibility without ever compromising. Its accessible, but why should that mean it isn't deep? Its easy to pick up and GM, but why should that mean there isn't a complex magic system? Its a simple world with evil villains to defeat, but why should that mean it isn't oozing with character, humor and lore? Its made to be enjoyable for young people, but why should that mean it isn't enjoyable for me?" You can get Yeld from our site, DrivethruRPG or itch.io. or ask your favorite store to order it from IPR!

Inktober 2024 #1 Backpack
Well friends, it’s October again, and that means more Inktober maps and some sketches! Don’t worry though, I’m still working on my Smaugust dragons - I’m close to 1/3 done with the art already 😊. I’m also still exploring the Scenetember challenge from SagaQuest - I’ll probably throw in bits and bobs with that as time permits.
THAT SAID
I’m a sucker for a good art challenge and the new ideas that come with it. This year, I wanted to change it up a little bit. I’ve got some friends whose kids are approaching the age of enjoying TTRPGs and I thought, “you know, I do a lot of really dark stuff - what if I stretched myself into a cozy RPG space, maybe something more aimed at kids and cuteness?”
So this year, I’m going in that direction with my Inktober. Cozy RPG quests for youths and adults who are interested in something a bit more chill and lighthearted with animal adventurers. Want a preview?
Check out the map and sketches from Days 1 & 2 of Inktober, then let me know what you think!
01: Backpack: The child had gone missing, but their backpack had been spotted at the mouth of the Groaning Cavern. Someone was going to have to go in there.

02 Discover: Beachcombers would search the shoreline after a big storm hoping to find small treasures that might have washed up. They didn’t expect to find an abandoned ship.

I’m currently playing the caretaker in my wonderhome world and AHHH, I love them so much. The mechanics for character creation are so so good and thought provoking. I enjoy the absence of violence because it gives room for my ‘weaker’ characters who wouldn’t stand a chance (or make sense) in a dnd campaign breathe. Moon (my character) is so quiet and couldn’t, and wouldn’t, fight to save their life. They live and breathe in the lives of the small and forgotten gods and they would just be drowned out in many other TTRPG systems.
wanderhome's little guy making process is exquisite. i make a habit of making a new character every time i play just because every playbook is such a hit! i like that, appropriate to their placement in the front and back of the playbooks section respectively, the caretaker and veteran are the two most thematically binding character concepts in the whole game.
the world and the folks in it are changing a bit with every season and those two most of all are attuned to that. your actions play a part in the now and the future whether you care for them to or not.

BUNNUSHKA...
Is out now!
Tumblr media
Inspired by this photo:
Tumblr media
It's about a bunny living a slow, peaceful life in the countryside. Players role play as sweet little Bunnushka and write journal entries based on seasonal prompts. You can also roll to add in book reviews, write letters, record recipes, and write poems.
You can use your own journal or print out stationery I designed!
Also, I made a playlist so you can listen to Bunnushka's radio. If you'd like to listen along, go here.
PLAY BUNNUSHKA
My games are always free and I'd love to know your thoughts!

This clip is a reminder of why I love table top games so much. You can go from playing a character that is comic relief and probably not taken seriously to that same character delivering an honest moment about grief and loss. This might be one of my favorite moments in seven years of streaming ttrpgs. If you enjoy it take a moment to watch the entire episode on the @thepixelcircus YouTube. 💖
