the german dub is generally infamously pretty terrible but sometimes they come up with real funny stuff, i am watching the chuunin exams arc and sasuke comes up with a code phrase for team 7 so they can identify each other in the woods. naruto has struggle remembering it and he's like "i thought u said code word, not code presentation (referat)" asfsgsgdfs and when later orochimaru tries tricking them by taking naruto's form and he says the words and sasuke immediately knows that this cant be naruto and he explains how that was his plan to sakura he's like "naruto would never remember this, even a freaking hamster would be better at this than him" LOL

The way people were reacting to the leaks made me so nervous for no reason. Like for a couple days all I heard was whispers that “Gege made Gojo racist” and I assumed the worst. I was worried that the issues that I’ve had with Gege’s writing in the past had come to a head and Gojo was gonna double down on some ignorant bullshit.

Instead Gege discussed and called out his past mistakes and issues I’ve had with his writing since jjk 0. He looked at the way he’s written black men and black-coded characters up until this point and admitted that it was racist. Then he takes the character that everyone he works with says is “the most like him” and has him directly be called racist and apologize.

Everyone got me all worried for no reason, because overall I think this chapter was handled really well. It didn’t come out of nowhere. It’s not a character assassination. It’s Gege owning up to his mistakes. And I hope he continues to improve.
