Everything happened so fast, with the big hit of "Aurora", the band started to receive more attention, yes the problems behind the scenes helped with the fame, but the good songs and the rock n roll lifestyle makes them more famous.
And that attracted your attention for Daisy Jones and The Six, a lifestyle with parties, drugs, sex and the rock, things from the classic rockstar life. A kind of life that you like and know so well. Being one of the big and requested directors, makes you famous. You had work with several bands and artists of the 70's rock scene and you stood out in a place full of man and prejudice.
But this doesn't let you down, you still stand, fight and work to show your talent. You have your own work and the people can feel the truth and your love for your work. You have a presence and no one can ignore you, everybody knows you, they adore you and your work.
One of these "fans" is the famous drummer of The Six, Warren Rojas. He knows your work for a long time, since the time of "The Dunne Brothers" he sees his favorite bands having music videos directed by you and is enchanted with your job and you. He's always anxious for your next job and keeps this appreciation in a secret. So it is easy to wonder his reaction when he knew who was going to direct the next music video of the band.
The band just have some videos of the "Aurora Era" and are going to start the new tour, for this reason, Teddy and Runner Records chose to make a new music video for the band, to have more visibility to the songs of "Aurora". And the selected song is "Kill You to Try". The record wants something big and ambitious for this new hit. So it didn't take a long time to get a phone call from Teddy Price inviting you to direct this project.
You're so happy to work with the band, you love "Honeycomb" and falling in love with "Aurora", and making a job with the number 1 band in the charts brings more highlights and fame to you and your career. A job like the others, it's what you think, but nothing is like we think.
————————————————————————
After the annunciation for the band about the new video, take only 3 days to recording start, everybody be so excited and anxious (in the good way), especially the drummer with curly hair. Since the announcement, Warren just was thinking of you, he's going to meet you in person, work with you, he's so happy and anxious with this and don't realize how nervous he is, and especially when the recordings started.
Warren watches you talking with his friends, the band and you get along so fast, talking about music you like. Daisy, Karen, Graham and Eddie liked you, they liked your way and the passion for your work. He admires you all the time, his heart beats faster every time you smile or laugh, you're so beautiful and looking at you makes him feel so good and lucky.
"Hey dude! What 's going?" Asked Eddie. Bassist is the first to realize how nervous his friend is. The drummer usually passes his hands in his hair and mustache or walks in the set.
"Hum? Nothing dude, is everything good here, is nothing wappen" Warren said
"But it looks like you're going to have a collapse any time, walking in the set like a racing car. Is it mescaline again?"
"Mescaline is a powerful drug man, i learned this in Billy and Camilla wedding"
"Good, but this doesn't answer my question. What's happi-" Roundtree doesn't complete the sentence because he and his friend have been interrupted by S/n.
"Hi guys! Sorry for interrupting, but i would like doing scenes of you two with your instrument and scenes of the band together" Before filming solo scenes of Billy and Daisy, Karen and the piano and Graham on guitar, you just need takes of the drummer and bassist.
"Of course! You're going first Warren!" Eddie said and walked away leaving his friend alone with you. The drummer doesn't understand, but Eddie knows that Warren changes before you come around. Being more nervous, sweet and careful around you. The bassist knows you're the reason for all this drama.
"Great! If u feel ready Warren, we could start now" Like Warren you've your secrets too! Of all the members Warren is the one who gets your attention, his looks are not the only thing that attracted you, his attitude and talent too. You caught yourself admiring him on the drums sometimes and thinking what those hands could do.
"Y-yes, i'm ready for it" He confirms as shake his head and gives a smile that can light up this whole town. You notice a different attitude of him in relation to you, he talks with everybody except you, this worries you, makes you think that he doesn't like you and for this reason ignoring you.
You explain to him what you want for his scene with drums. He listens in silence and differs from his bandmates. He doesn't ask or talk nothing with you, it was as if he held himself around you. But you don't know that man is a big mess now, only because of you, you stay in his head all the time and he fights to try to say anything to you.
He's enchanted, you're like a pretty and harmony melody, you've your own shines and bewitched the body and soul of this man. His scenes were fast to record, he had a natural charm and his drum solo was your favorite part, you and he looked at each other all the time, it was like he couldn't take his eyes off you. You try to talk with him at the end of scenes but he walks away from you, leaving you alone and confused.
————————————————————————
After many scenes, you reported that you have enough content to the video and thank the band for the opportunity and the good moments. They were kind and nice, you have talks with everyone. Except Warren, this frustrated you, the only member owner of your attention is the one to ignore you and run from you.
Before you go, you see the drummer go into a room. You can't hold yourself, you can't go without knowing the reason why he doesn't like you. You close the door of the room and scare the drummer. Only you and him in the close room.
"S/n? What are you doing? What happened?"
"I'm the one who should ask this for you! You've been ignoring me all day! I know we don't know each other but this is the opportunity to do this, I'm expecting to come closer to you and talk with you. You're the one who I most want to talk to, but you ignore me! Like I'm nothing to you. So you need to say to me, what I did to you? Did I do something bad?"
You pressed him to a anser, he was shocked with your honesty, different from him, you're honest and open about your feelings, now he's blaming himself for being a coward and makes you feel wrong. Please, you're perfect in his opinion. This time he chose to say the truth and fight with the nerves who put him down.
"I feel so sorry if I did you thinking I hate you or something like that, you got it wrong. The truth is…" Warren breathed deep while caught all the courage to confess your feelings "I'm crazy for you. I know this sounds crazy, but I admire you and your work for a long time. You're an inspiration, like a good old song who makes everyone happy, the only in my mind. I've been longing for you for a long time. And now we're working together and I don't know how to act around you. I did wrong, so I want to ask you for one chance to make different. Only one chance with you could calm down my heart and my mind" He's so deep in his confession that don't realize how you look at him now with shiny eyes and hold a smile and happy laugh. Oh this man looks so funny now, he's still talking until you interrupt him.
"Hey Warren!! Breathe! Now I understand and I'm not going to lie to you. I'm couldn't take my eyes off you any moment in the day, you stay on my mind since the first meet, your eyes, your lips, anything on you, i couldn't touch, just wonder how it feels and this kill me slowly and have you ignore me makes me burn in inside, but now i know the truth. So come on, I just need one chance". He comes so close while smiling, so close to your breath and the beats of your and his heart becoming one only. Warren holds himself to screaming of happiness for knowing you both feel the same thing. "Let's make this work. Saturday night, in my house, just me and you and no one else".
And that is the first step of a new story.

hey, i loved the fic u wrote for the request i sent, it was absolutely brilliant
i was hoping you could write another where the band finds that karen is dating a female reader and maybe what their reactions would be like?
lol that would be awesome 🫶😋
Radiance
pairing: karen sirko x fem! gf reader
a/n: hii! i absolutely love ur requests. I hope you enjoy this even if it isn't as long as the last fic u requested. karen sirko is the loml and she deserves more fics!!
tw: period typical homophobia mentions (fuck that but it needed to be added cause of ✨plot✨), swearing, kissing, billy being an asshole (as per usual lmao), drinking
description: the band reacts to finding out you're karen's girlfriend and it goes better than expected.
Tumblr media
she's so pretty ahhhh... okay moving onto the main story now.
You were standing next to the bar as you listened to your girlfriend’s band with a smile on your face as you took a sip of water. You were here as a surprise since she had been recording for the past week and you had barely seen each other. You were mesmerized by how stunning she looked on that stage. So immersed with music that it seemed like it was her lifeblood.
After a few more of the band's songs, they retired off stage. And you carefully moved through the crowd towards the backstage doors, where already a large amount of groupies were huddled around.
“Hey Mark!
“Y/N I didn’t know you were coming tonight.”
“Just came to see an old friend.”
“Karen is going to be very happy to see you.” He sent you a little wink and a smile as he let you through the doors. The security guard had become a friend of yours after Karen introduced you to him after a show. He may look like a giant but he was truly a teddy bear and… a huge supporter of your relationship with Karen.
“Uh hi?” The frontman of the band, Billy greeted you as you walked through the doors. “Can I help you with something?”
“I was actually just-”
“Y/N!! Oh my god hi!” The familiar British voice echoed through the room making you turn towards your girlfriend as she enveloped you in a hug. “What are you doing here? I thought you had a planning session tonight.”
“They canceled last minute and I wanted to see you.” You let her out of the hug as she slung an arm around you.
“Aww aren’t you a big softie?”
“Well you have been pestering me to come to one of your shows.”
“That I have. Oh right, Y/N meet Billy. Billy meet Y/N, my best friend.” You offered your hand and widened your smile slightly, even as your heart clenched at the mention of ‘best friend’ but it was always better to be safe than sorry.
“Nice to meet you.” He shook your hand and took a drag of his cigarette before walking off with a grunt.
“Wow he really is as much of an asshole as you said he was.”
“Don’t mind him. Are you ready to go?”
“You aren’t going to stay with the band for a little longer?”
“No, that's okay. How about we go to your house?”
“Sounds like a plan.” You both exited through the back doors and made your way to your red Camaro. Ready to finally spend some time alone with the woman you love.
Tumblr media
“Hey where did Karen go off to?” Graham asked as he walked into the back room, only to find the rest of the band (minus Karen) drinking, smoking or writing.
“I don’t know man, she disappeared like 20 minutes ago with this really pretty girl.” Warren said as he took another drag from his cigarette.
“Right. She’s been doing this a lot lately, hasn’t she?”
“Huh?” Warren asked.
“Disappearing off to god knows where.”
“Maybe she got a boyfriend.”
Graham: At the time we had no idea Karen was into girls but there were obvious signs that we were just too stupid to miss.
Camila: Oh I knew of course, I mean I introduced Y/N and Karen in the first place.
Graham: I don’t think we found out until the night of Camila and Billy’s housewarming party.
Tumblr media
“Are you sure she wants me to be here?”
“Yes, now shush and help me fix this bloody jacket.” You let out a chuckle as you repositioned the parcels on your arm and carefully lifted Karen’s hair before fixing the jacket.
“Are we the only ones here?”
“Karen! Y/N, you came!”
“That I did.”
“Actually you arriving early is perfect for me. Can you help put some tablecloths outside? You should add some rocks on them so they don’t fly off.”
“No problem, you coming?”
“Be there in a second, love.” Karen smiled and gave a quick peck on the lips before disappearing into the backyard.
“So you two seem to be doing well.” Camila said as she wiggled her eyebrows mischievously.
“Yeah we are. Oh right, I wanted to give you these.” You handed Camila the carefully packaged gifts. She tore through the tissue paper after undoing the ribbon and audibly gasped.
“You didn’t.”
“Well I know you were looking for a perfume and since everything is so expensive these days I called in a favor from a friend.”
“But this is like gold.”
“Yeah well I owe you.”
“Aww Y/N.” She enveloped you in a hug that you quickly reciprocated as Billy walked into the room.
“Hey I can’t find- oh hi.”
“Hi, good to see you again.”
“Yeah sorry about being a bit of an asshole last time.”
“You’re good. I understand how tiring that must have all been.”
“Yeah umm Cami do you know where I can find those streamers?”
“They should be in the kitchen cupboard.”
“Great thank you darling.”
“I can’t believe you got me a Dior perfume!”
“Wait there’s more. I ended up making a few extras of the children’s clothes from my client so I thought I could bring some for Julia. If they don’t fit her I’m sure-” That was before you were engulfed by yet another Camila hug.
“Thank you. God I’m so happy Karen found you.”
“I think that credit all goes to you.”
Tumblr media
A few hours later the party was in full swing and you were sitting next to Karen sipping on a beer as you chatted with Warren about some of your favorite designers. The man had great taste in clothes. Sometime during that conversation Karen had slipped an arm around your waist making you lean your head on her shoulder.
Warren: Y/N and Karen? Yeah I don’t remember that party vividly. I don’t know… I think I kind of knew they were together by the way they acted and hey, I wasn’t one to judge. Plus Y/N was great to talk to, we became pretty good friends.
Throughout the course of the night, you both drank very little. So when time came to sit at the piano and sing you were more than happy to observe your incredibly talented girlfriend. You had come to stand next to Cami as she cradled Julia in her arms, trying to get her back to sleep.
“May I hold her for a moment?” She nodded and as the band continued singing you caught Karen’s twinkling eyes as you carefully cradled the little girl in your arms. She sent you a soft smile and scrunched up her nose slightly, which was your little non-verbal signal that meant ‘I love you’. You scrunched your nose back and sent her an air kiss.
As the rest of the guests trickled out you found yourself on the couch with the rest of the band trading stories and anecdotes. You cuddled up next to Karen and Eddie as you animatedly told the story of how you met Karen through Camila, with Karen chiming in at random parts.
“So yeah we kind of kept meeting up a few times after that and suddenly one of those times she kiss- oh fuck.” Even the small amount of alcohol that you had consumed had loosened your tongue to the point where you had just spilled the biggest secret of them all.
“You know we don’t care right? I mean I thought you guys were together ever since I saw you two.” Eddie said from beside you as you readjusted your position.
“Yeah look I have a few friends who also like women. People who care about that shit are idiots and assholes.”
“Here here.” Graham said as he clinked his glass with Daisy, whilst Camila and Billy both just sent you reassuring smiles.
“Plus you both are really hot.”
“Warren!” Everyone exclaimed and Karen sent a pillow to his head.
After a few more minutes of chatting, you and Karen decided to make your way to your car. You opened up the driver's seat and clutched the wheel in anxiousness.
“You’re not mad?” You asked as Karen got in and looked at you quizzically.
“How could I be mad? I have a wonderful girlfriend and now I know how good it feels to say that in the open. I could never be mad at you. I think I love you too much for that, darling.” She swiped away the tears that were starting to form on the corners of your eyes and gave you a reassuring smile.
“I love you so so much.” You answered before gently taking her face in your hands and softly pressing your lips together as the stars twinkled above you and the streetlight shined on your faces.
Tumblr media

don't go - Billy Dunne warnings: BILLY AND CAMILLA ARE NOT TOGETHER, drug abuse, overdose, Billy being a jerk at first, cursing part 2
Tumblr media
you two were in love, everyone knew it but they also knew you both hid it by acting like you hated each other.
=====
Billy Dunne: I don't know why we hated each other, and trust me I hated her, but that night I think I realized I didn't, I never could
=====
you couldn't even remember the past hour, let alone past day maybe two. all you knew is maybe you had taken one too many pills from strangers and that you needed to lay down.
now you don't know what happened or how you ended up in the shower but when Billy knocked and no one answered to say he was pissed was an understatement mostly cause he was there to tell you he never wanted to see you again and although that wasn't true he just wanted to get it over with.
'Billy maybe she's not up yet' Camilla had said trying to console her friend 'just go to your room and sleep, you can talk tomorrow' and he almost listened but then it happened
somebody they had never seen and someone you didn't remember even being in the room with you, opened the door for him and they both immediately new something was wrong.
Everybody new you loved to party but bringing a stranger to your was something you never ever did no matter how high or drunk.
the bathroom door was wide open and the shower curtain left alone so that water could get all over the floor but all Billy saw was you, laying in there clothes on, water running on your face not helping the fact that you couldn't find yourself remembering how to breath.
'Camilla go call 911' he screamed 'now'
his heart ached as he held you trying to get you to wake up and when you did it didn't make him feel much better being able to understand your mental state a little better,
'your here right?' you asked 'im not seeing shit now am I?'
'Im here baby, I got you.' he said pressing a kiss to your temple
'Please don't go, I love you, please just- please don't leave me.' you pleaded shaking
'I could never' he said firmly and he meant it he would never let something like this happen again he couldn't 'I love you too much'
you let out a breathy shallow laugh 'That's nice'
he couldn't stop the tears running down his face and the crack in his voice when he said 'yea it is isn't it'
-------
AUTHORS NOTE --
ok kinda happy and sad ending but I was in a sad mood.
if you want a part 2 just comment although I don't think many people read these anyway but oh well

California Dreamin'
Tumblr media
summer nights as an up and coming seventies rock band
word count: <1000
warnings: swearing, moustaches
.
"Marco, if you don't stop messing with that needle-"
"I'm not!" Marco screeches in defence from behind his new porn stache, lifting his hands up in a surrendered position when Harry saunters over to his new record player and stands in front of it protectively. You giggle quietly at their behaviour, squinting as you watch the boys squabble from the patio doors. Harry had saved money from his first released record to buy this Technics player, so he was feeling precious about it. He'd only really let you fiddle with it, but you always saw him monitoring you over your shoulder.
Melanie stalks down the rich oak stairs in her new bootleg jeans she found in a small charity shop back home, her worn down guitar in hand and a notebook. She wrote the best songs on her oldest guitar. You'd said to Harry a few years ago that you believed everyone's instrument is supernaturally bound to them in some way. You were both pretty high at time.
"God, Melanie. I miss my jeans so much." You whine.
"As if you're not looking unbelievably sexy on that garden chair over there. Marco, here, come and get the gorgeous pregnant woman a drink, would you?" Melanie replies, leaning to kiss you on the cheek and propping her things on the cream sofas. She snatches her scarf from over the lamp in the living room and ties it around her neck.
"Is this gorgeous pregnant woman in the room with us?- Ow! I'm messing, you miserable old sod." Marco sends you a wink but is quickly reprimanded by a swat to the head by your man, who was intensely inspecting his Bowie vinyl for scratches. You quietly giggle, knowing yours and Marco's relationship was playful and unserious, though you really liked Harry's protectiveness.
"Talk bad about my missus again and I'll rip that monstrosity clean off." Harry points to Marco's moustache before patting his cheek heavily, looking over at you with a glint in his eye. You grin, pretending that didn't make you slightly turned on. You were pregnant, it was hard not to be turned on by anything Harry did. Especially when he was wearing his maroon corduroy trousers and just a tank top, cigarette hanging from his lips and a glass of whiskey in the other. Your hand rests over your bump covered by an airy white summer dress, and Harry looks at you from across the room like you hung every star in the sky.
Marco appears by your side with a cloudy lemonade and you smile, grabbing his hand in a thank you and shifting on your garden chair to feel more comfortable. Harry had rented this place for your stay in Malibu whilst you, him and the rest of the band wrote their new album, but sometimes you secretly wished you could live here forever. Large veranda doors that open wide to let the setting sun in, beautiful oak walls and avocado coloured marble on the kitchen floor. You could sit and write every day here.
"What's on your mind, my pretty lady?" Harry's deep voice is smooth like treacle in your ears. You glance over to where he's situating himself on the other outdoor chair, stubbing out his cigarette now that he's next to you. Opal coloured sunglasses cover his eyes, and his hair remains slightly more grown out than usual. He always looked like this when he wasn't doing shows, kind of rugged, rockstar-ish. You loved it.
"I love this house, so much." You breathe. He grasps your hand and kisses it softly, holding it there as he sighs contentedly, glancing over at the skyline and the sun creeping behind. An orange glow sets over the small house and you smile, observing Marco and Melanie trying to light the old barbecue that must have been at least ten years old. Harry's hand creeps up your leg under your white summer dress, slipping it over his knee so he can run his hand up and down - brushing over your ankles every so often.
"How the fuck do you where these when you're pregnant?" He fiddles with the strap of your brown wedged heels.
"Just 'cause I'm pregnant doesn't mean I can't still dress nicely. You know, I found a column in the paper back home by this young'un called Sophie Clark. She writes little fashion pieces at college. She's dedicated a section to me every week. 'The stylish lead starlet of The Saffron'. I need to keep up appearances." You muse, fiddling with the large thin hoop earrings that Harry had gifted you just the day before.
He leans down and kisses your shin, before travelling his hand to your bump unconsciously. "I know. I read it sometimes when you're away at your writing sessions back home and I can't see you. Need to know what you're wearing so I can picture taking it off you--"
You give him a knowing look, and he closes his mouth immediately with a mischievous look. His hand moves in gentle circles over your stomach and you revel in the feeling. It quite literally could not get any better than this. A warm, summer evening in California, the smell of incense coming from inside the house. The hum of The Mamas and Papas travelling from the turntable speakers.
"We're gonna write some good shit here, guys." You inhale. Harry hums and reaches for his notepad on the ground next to the chair, flipping it open and writing something down pensively.
"You found a muse already?" You try and peek and he laughs, slamming the leather bound book shut and grabbing your hand to plant a kiss.
"Just feeling inspired. Entranced. In love." He murmurs and closes his eyes, "I've got all of my muse right here in my hand."
.
heyyyyy!!! so i've kind of created a new lil universe after watching daisy jones and falling into a hole of 70s obsessions again. lmk if you'd like more little blurbs from these characters. I introduce you to The Saffron. my own little seventies rock band.

Girl, Put Your Records On | Eddie Roundtree x Reader
A/N: I haven't seen any fics with him, so I had to make one. I love his character so much.
Blurb: Being the daughter of a music producer has its perks, and one of those is meeting Daisy Jones and The Six's Eddie Roundtree.
Warnings: Just fluff and a hit of angst, implied intercourse (no detail)
Daisy Jones and The Six Masterlist
Tumblr media
Being the daughter of a music producer had it's perks. For starters, you were able to listen to new albums and singles before anyone else. While the rest of the world waited for upcoming releases, you were already taking the record out of its sleeve and putting it on the phonograph.
Not to mention all the artists and bands you were able to meet. Your father was constantly popping open a bottle of champagne to celebrate his clients to celebrate their upcoming albums and tours.
Although you were too young to drink yourself, it was nice to feel included. Being there with your father, surrounded by new and interesting people with dozens of stories to share.
But being the daughter of a music producer has its downsides, too. On the smaller scale, sometimes your favorite songs wouldn't make the cut. When you were younger, it hit harder. But as you got older, you just accepted it and moved on.
That wasn't the only down that the role came with, however. You were a young, beautiful, kind girl with a heart of gold and a lot of love to give. Not many men in the industry had any problem taking advantage of that.
There was a thrill to it, for them. Sneaking around with their producer's daughter with the possibility of getting caught at any moment. You were sixteen when you had your first love. He told you all the right things, did all the right things. But the night before he left, he tried to convince you to "live in the moment" while leading you to his van.
It didn't take long for you to realize what was happening, so you freed yourself from his grasp, shoving him back and walking back inside your home.
He was too old for you, anyway. He was twenty, and you were still a kid. It wasn't right, but it was the seventies and he was gaining popularity. It didn't matter what he did, he had every girl in America wrapped around his finger. You, however, had made the choice not to be one of them.
A few years later, when you were nineteen, an up and coming group walked inside your father's studio. He was hesitant about letting them record, but he trusted Teddy and gave them a shot, alllowing you to sit inside the sound booth to hear them play.
You could see the nervousness written all over their faces as they got ready to play. They wanted to impress Teddy, and you didn't blame them. He wasn't easy to read.
Reclining in your seat beside Marcus, who gradually increased the volume on the lead vocalist and lowered the sound of the guitars, you smiled as you listened to them play.
By the end of their demo, you were on the edge of your seat waiting to find out whether or not they'd get an offer.
While Teddy went to discuss it with your father, you stepped out of the sound booth and made your way towards the group.
Smiling, you held out a hand to the only woman, who was closest to you when you walked in, introducing yourself, "Hey, I'm Y/N."
Karen gave you a gentle smile, shaking your hand, "Nice to meet you, I'm Karen."
The drummer, who was fiddling with his drum sticks, hollered over her, "That's Karen Karen."
Raising a brow, you couldn't help but release a small laugh, "Karen Karen?"
The blonde shot him a look, "Fuck off, Warren."
Warren grinned, nodding his head as a way of greeting you.
Beside him, the lead vocalist looked over at you, "Is there something you need, Samantha?"
"It's Y/N," You corrected, "And I just wanted to say I like your sound. It's different. I think you guys have a good chance of getting a deal."
One of the guitarists, the one with curly hair who had been ogling Karen for the past half hour, smiled up at you from his seat on the amp, "Thank you, Y/N. Our main focus is creating music that people l-"
"For the love of God, Graham, shut up," The vocalist grumbled, turning back towards you, "Look, it's nice to meet you, but we're a bit busy here."
Graham held his hands up in surrender, returning to fiddling with his guitar, mouthing "sorry" to you.
The fifth member of the group, who had been nervously tapping his foot flashed his bandmate an irritated look, "C'mon, Billy, she's just being nice. At least people actually like our music."
"Eddie, all I'm saying is that we need to spend less time socializing and more time figuring out what we do if we don't get this deal."
On that note, you cleared your throat, "You'll get the deal."
Simultaneously, Eddie and Billy spoke over one another, the former asking if you really thought so and the latter asking how in the hell you knew.
"I know Mr. L/N well, and so does Teddy. Look, the last few bands Teddy has invested in haven't been doing too great. But I really think you guys have a chance. I know you guys do."
Eddie gave you a lopsided smile, "They liked us in Pittsburgh, I don't see how this is any different."
Billy glared back at him, "If you'll excuse us, I think we have a few things to discuss."
Nodding, you turned to exit, giving the band one last smile. But before you could step out the door, Teddy came back in with your father in tow.
Teddy looked at the band, "We're giving you a shot, don't blow it."
The band, who Teddy had earlier referred to as The Six, erupted in smiles, hugging each other and patting one another on the back.
Your dad wrapped an arm around you, addressing the band, "I see you've met my daughter?"
Billy's eyes widened a bit. He thought you were just some random kid. But you had been in the sound booth, he should've known better.
Warren, who was very obviously high, nodded, "Yeah, she's hot."
Wincing, Karen glared at him, "She's been very kind, Mr. L/N."
Your dad eyed Warren, kissing you on the head before congratulating the band one last time, kissing you on the forehead, and walking back to his office.
Once he was out of sight, Eddie took one of Warren's drumsticks out of his hands and smacked him on the head with it, muttering, "Dumbass, that was her dad."
The drummer's mouth formed an "O", "You think he knows?"
"Jesus Christ, Warren," Karen said, shaking her head before turning to Billy, "And you, you need to get the stick out of your ass."
A look of pride settled on Eddie's face. You could tell the two of them didn't see eye to eye just from the small interactions you had with them.
Moving towards the exit, you waved them goodbye, "I'll see you guys around."
Warren and Graham waved happily, Karen and Billy nodded, and Eddie tilt his head to the side with a smile.
Once you were out of earshot, Karen looked back at Eddie, "Jealous, are you, Roundtree?"
"Piss off, Karen."
Warren looked between the two of them, connecting the dots, "Psst, Karen, I think he's jealous."
Rolling her eyes, she flashed him an irritated smile, "Yeah, I figured that out, thanks."
------------------------------------------------------------
Billy: As soon as we got the news and packed up, I ran to the nearest phone to tell Camila. She had always believed in us, and now everything was falling into place.
Karen: I think I went back and got drunk in my room afterwards. We may have gone out to eat, I don't remember. We had been living gig to gig, I was just happy to have an income.
Camila: It was the first time in a while that Billy really seemed happy with how the band was going. He had always believed in it, but I really think it helped him to see that everything was coming into place. That we wouldn't be living in a shack forever.
Warren: I don't even remember being in the studio. I was in my twenties, I was doing anything I could get my hands on. Drugs, alcohol, women. I was just along for the ride.
Karen: I could still kill Warren for telling the producer's daughter, Y/N, that she was hot in front of her dad.
Warren: We all thought it. Especially Eddie. I was just the one who said it.
Eddie: There was something about Y/N that was different. She wasn't just a newfound fan, she believed in us from the start. She and Camila were the first people to have our record in their hands. As for Warren's comment to her dad... She was beautiful, still is, I just think he could've handled it better. A lot better. By not saying anything.
Graham: It was nice to know that someone outside of the band and Teddy believed in us. Moving out to LA meant that we were starting over. In Pittsburgh, nearly the whole city had heard of us. At least, the people our age.
Eddie: That day was a turning point for the band.
Camila: There was no going back after that. They started recording and within a month, they were on their first tour.
------------------------------------------------------------
You came to every recording session The Six had, excitedly listening to their songs and giving input. You studied the way Marcus moved the volume and reverb, making a mental note of it. What he did had always fascinated you, and he was willing to teach you. It was one of the perks of being F/N L/N's daughter. People bent over bsckwards to make you happy.
Over the course of their time recording, you went out for drinks a few times with them.
You met Camila, who you adored, and quickly became friends with. You wouldn't have changed any of it for the world.
Well, except one thing.
From the moment you met Eddie Roundtree, your heart hadn't stopped fluttering, skipping a beat every time he walked into the room.
Warren constantly teased the two of you about it, suggesting different ways to release the tension between the two of you.
Karen kicked him under the table, giving him a look that sent fear down his spine.
It made the moment awkward for a minute, but the band could sense it was bound to happen.
Eddie was used to being pushed around by Billy, who was by far the most popular and well-known member of The Six. But for once, he was first place. With you.
The two of you often nursed a glass of champagne, talking to one another at the bar while Graham attempted to flirt with Karen, who wound up finding another guy to hook up with, and Warren fell into a crowd of women.
He took a sip, looking down at you, "What's it like, getting to hear new music before anyone else? Not just ours, but in general."
"It's incredible. Don't get me wrong, being in the studio so much has its ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. There's nothing else I can imagine myself doing. That's why I want to work in the sound booth."
"You do?"
"Yeah, Marcus offered to teach me a while back. I just wanted to wait until you guys went on tour. I just want to focus on The Six, just taking it all in."
Eddie bit his bottom lip, "So... You and Marcus...?"
You shook your head, "Are friends. My mother is friends with his. We grew up together, he's just a few years older. He's protective, like how I imagine an older brother would be."
He nodded, "So, are you seeing anyone?"
"No," You let out a shaky breath, not meeting his eyes, "Are you?"
"No, are—I already asked you that," He said nervously, swirling his glass in his hand, "Do you... Have an interest in... You know, seeing anyone?"
"It depends on who it is," You said, heat rising to your cheeks, "And you? Anyone on your mind?"
He set down his glass, looking at you, "There is."
Meeting his eyes, you turned your back to the counter, leaning on it for support, "What's she like?"
"You have a mirror?"
You burst out laughing, "Is that your best line, Eddie? C'mon, you can do better than that."
He put his head in his hands, embarrassed.
Pressing a hand to his back, you used your other to pry his head away from his hands, "Don't worry, you can make it up to me."
Raising a brow, he tilted his head, "And how can I do that?"
"Pick me up on Friday at six."
"That's the day before tour starts."
"I know."
He nodded, "Wear something nice."
"Don't I always," You tease, stumbling into his chest.
He lifted the glass from your hands, "You know what I mean. I do, however, think you've had enough of this. C'mon, I'll drive you home"
------------------------------------------------------------
Warren: I was so happy to see Eddie leaving with Y/N. He was growing up, leaving the nest. It was about time he got laid.
Eddie: I drove her home. She had driven herself, but I was worried with her having three glasses. Truthfully, I just wanted to see her get home safe. And she did. I dropped her off at her door, walked her up, and waited until she got inside before I left. Once I got back in the car, it hit me—I had a date with Y/N.
Karen: I think he was more excited about the date than the record deal.
Eddie: It had just been a big few months. Moving to LA, getting a deal, meeting Y/N. Things were finally going my way.
------------------------------------------------------------
Eddie: Long distance relationships weren't easy by any means. I was the one who had to call, since we were constantly moving around. It strained us a bit, but she was able to go to a few of our concerts and I got to see her, take her out a few times.
Karen: Y/N visited us while we were in the northeastern part of the states. She stayed with us for a week and a half. And I never got any damn sleep while she was with Eddie. They could've been quieter, but I guess it was young love.
Eddie: She had her own hotel room during her time staying with us. Her dad set it up. We'd just stay in mine talking to one another.
Warren: Eddie swore nothing happened in his hotel room when he was alone with her, but I was on the other side of the wall. Look, I was pretty high, but it'd be hard to forget that. I may have been the one to call her hot, but he was the one that took it three, four steps further. Good for him, though.
Eddie: It was only when we got back from the tour that things started to go downhill with me and Y/N.
Camila: After I gave birth to Julia, Billy checked into Rehab. I was on my own for a while. But when the band came back, they were there to help me. Julia enjoyed time with Uncle Graham and Eddie, and Y/N whenever she was off work.
Graham: Eddie and I were there a few times a week just helping out and checking in on Camila and Julia. I loved that kid more than anything. We'd just sit out in the grass and I'd sing to her.
Eddie: Camila needed all the help she could get, especially with Billy not being there. Not that he would've done much anyway, to be honest. I tried to be there for her and Julia in any way I could. I didn't realize that it would tear Y/N and I apart.
------------------------------------------------------------
"Eddie, I barely ever get to see you. Can't you go one day without seeing Camila and Julia? You can stay with me. It's better than that shack."
"That shack is my home, whether it's shit or not, Y/N," He grumbled, "Camila needs all the help she can get with Julia. She's only a few months old."
"Her mother is with her, Eddie. She's got her mom, Graham, the whole band really. It's not that I don't want you to be with them, I just want to see you. I never get to see you."
Eddie sighed, "Y/N, they mean everything to me."
"They're your bandmates, I get it, I just—"
"Y/N..."
It was written all over his face. He wasn't just talking about The Six.
------------------------------------------------------------
Karen: We'd all known, except for maybe Billy and Camila, that Eddie was in love with Camila. We just thought that he had put those feelings aside when he met Y/N.
Warren: Out of all the girls Eddie had dated, which hadn't been much, she was my favorite. She was fun, she kept up with us, she was passionate about music and the band. When they broke up, I nearly snapped the guys neck. And I'm not a violent guy. She just deserved better than whatever the hell that was.
Eddie: Camila and Billy were married. I would never have come in the way of that. At the same time, it wasn't fair to Y/N. I loved her with my whole being, but I still had some unresolved feelings for Camila that started stiring when Billy was gone. It's wrong, and I know that, but it wasn't fair.
Graham: Eddie was an idiot for what happened. I remember when he came back from their first date. He swore up and down that they'd get married one day.
------------------------------------------------------------
When the band broke up, everyone went their separate ways. Karen continued touring, this time without Daisy and The Six. Warren got married and started working on boats, which became a passion for him. Billy stepped away from music and settled into life with Camila and his daughters and Graham continued working in the music industry, starting his own family. Daisy recovered from her addictions, and wound up adopting kids of her own.
These all took years to play out. But not for Eddie.
As soon as the band was over with, the first thing he did was buy a ticket to LA and knock on Y/N's door.
He explained everything and told her he loved her, he always had.
------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N Roundtree: Eddie proposed to me the night he showed up on my doorstep. He told me he couldn't imagine a life without me. I was touched.
Eddie: But she said no.
Y/N: I loved him, but I told him it would take time. We still had so much we didn't know about each other. It had been ages since I had seen him. I didn't even know that the Six had split up until he told me. He was back in LA that fast after the split.
Eddie: We did get to know each other, though. And I proposed almost a year later. We got married a few months after that. And the rest is history.
Y/N: It was a quiet ceremony. Eddie didn't want Billy there, and thought it may be a bit off putting for me to have Camila there. But I knew how much he cared about her and the girls, so we extended an invite.
Camila: Billy and Eddie never really saw eye to eye, and with Billy finally getting comfortable with family life, I didn't think it would be good to thrust him back into that.
Eddie: Y/N was a little upset they chose not to come, but understood. If you invite half a family, it doesn't exactly work.
Billy: I was surprised Eddie found the balls to get married.
Y/N: It wound up just being Eddie's immediate family, mine, Marcus, Warren, and Graham. Daisy showed up a few days earlier to congratulate us on our wedding, bringing a guitar with her as a gift. She just didn't think being back in that environment would be good for her. There would be too many questions.
Daisy: Just because the band was over doesn't mean the music couldn't continue. Eddie was a good guitarist and Y/N knew everything about managing sound and rhythms, so I figured it was an appropriate gift. I was really happy for them.
Eddie: Karen was touring at the time and wasn't able to make it, but she visited once the tour was over and stayed a few days.
Y/N: I preferred having a smaller wedding, with the people we knew the most.
Warren: They had great alcohol. I wasn't high during the reception, so I was actually able to enjoy it. I even met my wife there.
Graham: It made me long for a relationship, honestly. But it also made me realize I need to focus on myself first. I didn't want to just settle to settle.
Y/N: Our son was born a year and a half after we got married and music was automatically a big part of his life. He'd sit on Eddie's lap at not even a year old while Ed played the guitar. I still have pictures of them back then on the mantle.
Grant Roundtree, Eddie and Y/N's oldest son: I remember when I decided I wanted to pursue music. Dad sat me down and explained what happens when you achieve fame and how to handle it. Mom told me that I needed to take it one step at a time and really enjoy my childhood.
Farrah Roundtree, Eddie and Y/N's daughter: Grant never stopped playing that damn guitar mom gave him.
Grant: Sometimes I played just to drive Farrah and Eli crazy. I never stopped.
Eli Roundtree, Eddie and Y/N's youngest son: I wanted to be just like Grant when I was younger. He was my cooler, older brother. He even taught me how to play the guitar and I could carry a tune, but my stage fright got in the way of anything beyond that.
Eddie: Grant went into the music field, Farrah pursued modeling and is now acting, and Eli is just now graduating from high school, planning to attend college this fall.
Y/N: I'll always be grateful for Daisy Jones and The Six, but I've got to be honest—I'm even happier it ended when it did.
Eddie: Everything happens for a reason, and for me, it couldn't have ended at a better time.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
word count: 2.9k
pairing: rockstar!eddie munson x rockstar!fem!reader
warnings: 18+ ONLY - MINORS DNI. SMUT SMUT SMUT. kind of asshole!eddie but he's really just a moody baby, oral (m receiving), masturbation, reader and eddie argue but everything is consensual, really just absolute filth with a plot.
summary: you're an up-and-coming musician in the rock scene and have been asked to join corroded coffin on a song. only thing is, their singer - eddie munson - proves to be challenging to collaborate with.
author's note: my first lengthier work so sorry in advance if there are errors! this is a daisy jones and the six inspired one-shot, and for the sake of this fic i directly reference the title and lyrics of the song 'honeycomb' from the tv show - but you really don't need to know the book/show to understand. ok anyways hope u all like it and here u go @taintedcigs i know u've been waiting for this one em i hope u love it!!
“Honestly Eddie, I don’t care anymore! I’m not listening to your little rockstar tantrum. She’s coming in, and she’s joining you on the song. That’s final.”
Eddie scoffs at his manager. Ever since he was informed that ‘Y/N - biggest fucking nobody in the rock scene’ was going to be coming in and recording his song with him, Eddie had been relenting.
Eddie scoffs at his manager. Ever since he was informed that ‘Y/N - biggest fucking nobody in the rock scene’ was going to be coming in and recording his song with him, Eddie had been relenting.
“Tom, you don’t fucking get it man. Clearly. My song is perfect. What do we need her for? She doesn’t even have an album out, she’s made no name for herself. She’s going to ruin Corroded Coffin.” Eddie continues pestering, despite Tom’s insistence against it.
“No, Eddie, see that’s where you’re wrong. You wrote a good song man, okay? A good song. But just a good song. She could make it great. You haven’t heard her sing like I have. She has real talent.”
Eddie scrunches up his face and pinches the bridge of his nose with two fingers. “Oh a good song, huh? But you said the label liked it. Why change it?”
Tom sighs, taking a step towards Eddie. “The label didn’t dig the song… okay? They said it needs more, otherwise they’re gonna pass on it.”
“So you fuckin’ lied man, fuck-“ Eddie grits his teeth. “Fine, whatever, she’s gonna sing on the song with me. But that’s it.” Eddie grumbles, storming out of the small room.
•••
“He doesn’t get it, guys, he doesn’t fucking get it!” Eddie yells. “This is my song. My fucking baby. And this... bitch is gonna come in here and destroy it. I don’t need her singing on the song - I don’t need anyone to make my music ‘better’” he spits.
The thing is, things have always gone Eddie’s way since Corroded Coffin gained traction in the music world. Eddie writes the songs, Eddie dictates which songs go on the album, so on and so forth. This makes sense to Eddie, and if you ask him, he’s being completely fair to the rest of the guys in the band. ‘Of course I let them have a say in things. I don’t care what rumors you’ve heard - it’s a fair process around here.’ It’s only natural that he can’t handle the idea of someone else singing on his song. Eddie is always the one singing, save for Gareth and Jeff doing backing vocals.
Eddie thrives off of being liked. The way the fans hang onto every word he sings- it’s electric to him. He’s addicted to the way people adore him. And he’d never admit it to anybody… but he’s nervous you might just show him up, and then *poof* no one cares about him anymore.
“Come on, Eddie. Ease up a little! This could be fun, you never know.” Gareth says, following Eddie back and forth as he paces the recording studio.
“I give you like, 20 minutes before you’re in love with her… or bending her over a table.” Jeff interjects, screeching when Gareth throws a drumstick at him to shut him up.
Eddie can’t get a rebuttal in before the door swings open. Tom walks in trailed by a young woman. Quite possibly the most beautiful woman Eddie’s ever see- nope. Nope. Not going there. What was that?
“Guys. This is Y/N, as I’m sure you could guess. She’s here to record ‘Honeycomb’ with us today.” Tom smiles politely at the group, jolting Eddie from his thoughts.
“Y/N, hey. It’s so nice to finally meet you. I’m Gareth, this is Jeff, Greg, and I’m sure you know Eddie - the star of the show.” Gareth goes around the room, pointing at all of the guys.
You meet Eddie’s gaze as Gareth talks, and your breath hitches in your throat. Of course you know who Eddie is- you’ve seen him on magazine covers and in interviews. You’ve always thought he was alluring, but he’s even more gorgeous in person. Long, curly hair pulled back into a low ponytail. Tattoos trailing up his arms and chains around his neck. His signature ripped black skinny jeans that hug him so well in all the right places… fuck. Focus. You are not here to sleep with Eddie Munson. You redirect your attention to Gareth as he finishes speaking.
The rest of the guys all greet you warmly - except Eddie, you notice - who gives you a tight-lipped smile and a quick nod.
You walk straight up to him, holding out your hand for him to shake. “It’s so nice to meet you Eddie. Thank you so much for letting me be on the song - seriously, it means the world.” You say, exaggerating sincerity a little.
Eddie reluctantly shakes your hand. “Yeah. Let’s get this over with.”
He walks away to set up a microphone before he can think too hard about the way his heart pounded as your hands touched.
•••
The recording session starts, and take one of the song has begun. You insisted on using the same mic as Eddie, who begrudgingly allowed you to stand beside him, shoulders brushing ever so slightly. The contact sends chills down his spine. Eddie sings the first lines confidently into the mic, not making eye contact with you. Tom, along with the rest of the band watch the two of you intently from the sound booth. Honestly, Eddie has to admit everything is going smoothly. That is, until the chorus starts. Eddie sings one lyric into the microphone… and you sing a different one.
“Woah, woah, okay, stop!” Eddie yells to Tom to cut the track, pulling the clunky headphones off of his head. “Those aren’t the lyrics, what are you doing?” He’s turned to face you, incredulous.
“Um I- I’m sorry, did he not get my version? Does he not know?” You say, avoiding eye contact with Eddie to level with Tom.
“Your version!? This is my song- you are here to sing on my song. Not to rewrite the damn song!” Eddie hisses, throwing his hands in the air.
“No, darling, I’m here to make your song better. And that’s exactly what I’ve done.” You narrow your eyes at him, a syrupy sweet smile on your face.
Eddie’s face is burning, his whole body is burning. You weren’t supposed to write new lyrics. This is not happening. And for the love of god stop staring at her lips, Eddie.
“Eddie, uh, let’s give her version a shot, yeah?” Tom says, framing it like a question, but Eddie knows he doesn’t really have a choice.
The track starts from the top again, and Eddie finds that his hands are trembling as he holds your songbook. He sings the lyrics as you have written them, and his stomach sinks as he does it. He hates that you’ve changed his perfect song. He hates that he was made to look like an idiot because Tom didn’t tell him you had rewritten anything. And most of all, he hates that he can hear how good your voices sound together. He hates that he thinks he’d like to hear the sound of your voice for the rest of his life, on the rest of his songs.
“Oooh, we could make a good thing bad,” the two of you sing out in unison, and the song ends.
Eddie stares at you and you stare at him, chest heaving and absolutely beaming. The rest of the band are looking at the two of you in awe from the sound booth. Eddie can’t bring himself to smile, can’t bring himself to let you know that he thinks you really might have made his song better. Can’t face you while his mind races with thoughts of grabbing your face and kissing you. Instead, he hands you your lyric book and hurries out of the studio.
You excuse yourself to the group amid their praises and follow him out the large wooden doors. You’re surprised to find the lobby empty, but then you hear noise coming from down the hall. Walking over to a small closet, you peer in and see Eddie in the dim light, leaning against the wall, hands covering his face and his head tipped back.
“Eddie, what was up with that?” You ask him gently, closing the closet door behind you for privacy. “I thought we sounded great.”
“You rewrote my fucking song!” He booms over you. “That wasn’t the plan. You were supposed to sing on it with me and that would be that.” He’s stepped towards you, leaving little room between the two of you in the already-cramped closet.
“It’s not my fault Tom didn’t tell you I changed some of the lyrics, okay? I didn’t expect you to be blindsided like that. But you could’ve been more mature about it!” You defend.
“Who the hell do you think you are? No- seriously, tell me. Corroded Coffin has worked so hard to make a name for ourselves. I have worked so hard. And you just waltz in here like you own the place? What the fuck is your problem?” Eddie’s words come out sharp, bitter, but there’s an emotion behind his eyes you can’t quite place. Fear? Maybe.
“Oh get your head out of your ass already, Eddie! I made your song better! We sounded fucking amazing together- the label might actually want it now!” You’re screaming back at him at this point, heat rising in your face as he steps impossibly closer to you. “And don’t even get me fucking started on the Corroded Coffin bullshit. Do you even give the other guys a say in what happens in this band? Cause you seem like a big cocky crybaby who always gets his way. I may not be rich and famous like you are but at least I’m not a fucking prick!” You’re seething, and you press your hands to his chest in an attempt to shove him backwards.
Eddie stops you, though, grabs you by the wrists. Firmly, but not hurting. His huge brown eyes haven’t stopped boring into yours. He thinks his heart might sprout wings and fly out of his chest. He thinks he might hate himself forever if he doesn’t get to have more of you.
“What- now you’re speechless? Don’t have anything to s-“ Eddie cuts you off, pressing his lips to yours like his life suddenly depends on it. Maybe it does.
You’re caught off guard, frozen in place for only a second until you kiss him back, pushing him up against the shelves behind him. His hands leave your wrists and hastily scour your body. You’d think he was a man starved the way he grips at your hips, lips basically devouring yours all the while. Eddie gasps as you lean down to his neck, sucking red and purple marks onto the skin that Jeff is definitely going to mock him for later. He can’t bring himself to care. He grabs your face in his hands to meet your lips once again, needing more.
“You wanna know something, Y/N?” Eddie says between kisses, moving down to nip at your neck. “I can’t fucking stand the way you came in here so confidently today-“ another kiss to your neck. “The way you came right up and sang into the same mic as me instead of using your own, like you just own the whole room-“ another kiss, and another “I can’t stand the fact that your lyrics are better than mine- that maybe you made 'Honeycomb' something I couldn’t make it,” he’s talking through gritted teeth, agitated and yet completely enamored with you. “I hate that the entire time I was watching you sing, I couldn’t stop thinking about your pretty mouth wrapped around my cock..”
Before you can respond, he’s unbuttoning your jeans, pushing you against the opposite wall of the closet, taking control.
“I think you’re absolutely insufferable and immature” you breathe out, pulling his hair out of its ponytail so you can run your fingers through it.
He lets out a breathy chuckle, but it’s arrogant, smug. “You can spit whatever insults you like, sweetheart, but you’re absolutely soaked right now.” He gives you a smile, tilting his head to the side as he does. His fingers had slipped inside the waistband of your pants, and are now circling the lace fabric of your panties.
You feel yourself clench around nothing as his fingers tease your core. You let out an involuntary moan, rutting your hips down against his touch. He gets the hint and shimmies your jeans down your legs, and you slip out of them after quickly taking your shoes off. You meet his gaze again as he tugs his jeans down slightly, pulling his cock free from the thin fabric of his boxers.
And - oh my god - he’s fucking huge. Thick and long with a dripping pink tip. You swallow, hard, and you swear you feel your mouth start to water. Suddenly you can’t figure out how you’ve survived this long without him, and you certainly won’t be able to after this.
“Get on your fucking knees, babydoll” he purrs, lips inches away from your ear.
You oblige, of course, settling yourself so that your pussy rests on the toe of his combat boot, aching for whatever friction you can get. You take his cock into your mouth without further instruction from the rockstar, and he inhales sharply above you.
“Fuck, baby, shit-“ Eddie groans, collecting your hair in one of his hands and tugging, his cock twitching slightly in your mouth.
“What, big shot, can’t handle it? Should I tell the press that Eddie Munson of Corroded Coffin comes three seconds into a blowjob?” you tease him, but you can’t ignore the way your head spins at his praise.
“Shut up and fucking suck it, sweetheart- I can handle it.” He hisses.
You don't need further instruction. Your tongue works on his cock, licking a stripe up his length and then kitten-licking the tip. Eddie’s seeing stars as you engulf him entirely in your mouth once again. You go at it for a while before he feels you rutting yourself against his boot.
His laugh is devious, wicked. “So desperate for me huh, sweet thing? Gonna get yourself off while you suck my cock, baby?”
You want to retaliate, taunt him back, do anything to make yourself seem like more than a pathetic fucking whore for him, but you’re dripping through your panties and the friction is so, so delicious you can’t stop your movements. Warmth is beginning to pool in your stomach and you need this release. You take him as deep into your mouth as you can, his tip practically nudging the back of your throat, gagging around him. Eddie thinks he might die, seriously, this is it for him. ‘Rockstar Dies In Supply Closet With His Dick Out’ he can see the tabloid headlines now. He tugs your hair and holds your head still as he starts to fuck into your mouth, reveling in the moans and mewls you let out beneath him.
“Shit, sweetheart, you feel s’fucking good around my dick-" he grunts, throwing his head back as he picks up his pace. "Go ahead and touch yourself for me, sweet girl. I know you need more." He says roughly.
You happily let him throat-fuck you as you tug your panties down slightly, bringing a hand down to allow your fingers to rub harsh circles into your clit. You feel yourself getting closer, a coil tightening more more more as he fucks into the heat of your mouth. You can sense his movements getting erratic, and you glance up to look at his face. He's delirious, so fucked out, and you feel as if you could melt into a puddle right here at his feet as you watch him.
“I’m gonna fucking cum, sweetheart, shit- you want it in your mouth?” He asks you, brown eyes blown out wide as he awaits your response.
You nod, mouth too full of him to speak, and you squeeze his heavy balls in your free hand as he thrusts faster faster faster into your mouth. He lets out a strangled moan as his cock twitches, ropes of hot cum coating your tongue. You quicken your pace on your aching clit and it doesn't take long for the coil in your stomach to snap. You cum all over your fingers and Eddie's boot that still rests beneath you, as he finishes riding out his high above you. He watches you as you swallow his load and he silently swears to himself he’ll do whatever he can to have you like this more often.
“Fuck, baby, you soaked my shoes huh? You okay?” He asks you tenderly, grabbing your arms to pick you up off the floor and steady your shaking frame. You nod, collapsing against him, head pressed to his chest. The two of you stay like that for a while, listening to each others heavy breaths before Eddie finally breaks the silence.
“I’m sorry for being a dick about having you on the song, okay?” He says, his voice softer and far more unsure than you've ever heard it. “You made it better- I really fucking mean that.”
“I know I did.” you reply, shifting to meet his gaze, and he smiles at you. “A few more rounds of this," you gesture around the two of you, "and I think you’ll have made it up to me” you smirk at him.
“Alright, sweetheart, same place same time tomorrow?” Eddie teases, and you laugh. That’s a sound he thinks he could get used to.
•••
When the two of you walk back into the recording room, Eddie's neck littered with hickeys and mascara smudged around your eyes, no one says a damn word.
"'Honeycomb' take three anyone?" Eddie asks.

“He’s a nice guy, Y/N,” your friend, Karen Sirko, said to you, a smile on her face. “I promise.”
You gave Karen a blank look. “Last time you said that to me the man ended up crying mid date because I was wearing the same perfume as his ex,” you said, arms crossing over your chest.
Karen laughed. “But this time I mean it,” Karen said. “He’s in my band, Y/N. Just trust me.”
“Whatever,” you sighed, opening the car door and stepping out. You were wearing your favourite outfit, your hair done nicely, thanks to Karen. “If this goes bad you owe me a drink.”
Karen rolled her eyes. “Have fun!” She yelled before driving off, leaving you no choice but to go inside this restaurant and find your date.
Karen hadn’t told you much, all you know is he’s got blond hair, he’s the bass player in the band Karen’s apart of, his name is Eddie and apparently, he’s a really good guy.
You looked around, there was people everywhere. Most people were in groups of two’s, three’s or even more. There was an exception of two people who were sat alone, one was a red haired boy who was half way through his meal and the other a blond boy, tapping his foot as he waited.
Obviously it wasn’t the red haired boy. You took a deep breath and walked over to the blond boy, praying to God this was Eddie and not some random guy.
“Eddie?” You asked, grabbing his attention, his eyes shot up to meet yours and you swear you died and went to heaven.
“You must be Y/N,” Eddie said, standing up, his chair scraping against the floorboards as he moved to give you a hug. “Karen has told me so much about you. She didn’t mention how beautiful you are though.”
You smiled bashfully, rolling your eyes as you took your seat across from him. “Thank you,” you said.
A few drinks and a meal later, you and Eddie were laughing with one another and getting to know each other. You had told him how you and Karen met and he had told you how he had joined the band. You and Eddie had really hit it off and for once Karen’s blind dating idea was actually working out.
Eddie paid the bill and shortly after you both stood up. “I had a lot of fun,” you smiled at him. Eddie took your hand as you walked out of the restaurant and onto the chilly night air of Los Angeles. “We should do this again sometime soon.”
“Who said the date was over?” Eddie asked with a chuckle. By now you were both drunk, and normally when you got drunk you liked to end the night in your own bed at home, but you just couldn’t leave Eddie’s side. You didn’t want too leave his side. “Wanna come back to my place? Have a few drinks and watch a movie?” He asked.
You smiled, “sure.”
Eddie waved down a cab and soon enough the pair of you were back at his house, which coincidentally was also where Karen lived. You had only been there once, briefly, when Karen was the only one home. You and Eddie were sat on his bed, watching a movie, except the movie had long been forgotten about because his lips were on yours and somehow you had ended up in his lap.
Your fingers fumbled with the buttons of his shirt, undoing all of them and pushing it off of his shoulders. Your clothes came next, Eddie undressing every article of clothing on your body in less than a minute, leaving you in nothing but your underwear. He kicked his jeans off and you pushed him back, flat against the mattress.
“Is this what you were expecting to come out of tonight?” Eddie asked, breathless as your lips trailed along his jawline and neck.
“I thought i’d end up going home tonight and never contacting you again,” you replied, pressing your lips against his once more.
You felt his fingers slip under the hem of your panties. You gasped as his fingertips brushed against your clit, slowly making his way towards your entrance.
“Is that good?” He asked, pushing two digits inside of you. Your eyes rolled into the back of your head.
“Yes,” you managed to whimper out as his fingers grazed the deepest parts of you. Pressure was building and you could feel your orgasm already approaching, but you weren’t ready yet, you wanted more.
You pushed his boxers down, his dick popping free from the fabric. You slipped away from his fingers and looked him in the eye as you aligned yourself with him. Eddie’s hands landed on your hips, guiding you down onto him.
His fingers clamped around the skin of your hips, Eddie’s fingers turning white from the grip he had on you. “Fuck,” you whispered, legs shaking as he filled you thick.
You moved your hips back and forth over and over again, gaining momentum with each move. Eddie was starstruck, too busy listening to the pretty sounds coming out of your mouth to even make a noise.
You switched from back and forth movements to bouncing up and down, skin slapping against skin until your calves started to burn and your vision started to blur. Eddie shoved his hand over your mouth, keeping you quiet.
“You’re being so loud, sweetheart,” He whispered. “You’re gonna wake the whole house up.”
You looked down at him, crying into the palm of his hand as your orgasm washed over you, growing so tired and weak that you collapsed onto his chest, whimpering into Eddie’s ear.
“Aw, are you all fucked out, huh?” He teased, you nodded your head, eyes fluttering shut. “Well I haven’t came yet so…” Eddie’s hips snapped up into yours, making you yelp. “You’re gonna have to keep it up for a little while longer.”
Eddie fucked himself into you, hitting angles that he wasn’t before. You kept your lips on his neck, sucking bruises into his skin to keep the sinful noises that desperately wanted to escape your lips in.
“Good girl,” he whispered, hands tangling through your hair.
You moved your mouth towards his ear. “Thank you,” you whispered, tears brimming your eyes. You were so sensitive but so needy at the same time. You didn’t want it to stop but you needed it to before it became overwhelming.
You pressed your lips against his, shoving your tongue inside of his mouth, moving your hips in time with his and it didn’t take long for Eddie’s movements to falter and his hips to start stuttering and you felt him finish inside of you.
There was not much talking after that, in fact you didn’t even get dressed, didn’t even move. The pair of you woke up the next morning fully naked, on top of each other, stone cold sober.
After the initial shock, you got up, changed back into your clothes from last night. “I really have to go,” you said with a smile as Eddie tried to convince you to stay.
“Well come back later,” Eddie begged. “Please?”
You rolled your eyes. “Fine,” you said before shoving your feet into your shoes. “I’ll come back later on tonight.”
Eddie smiled, triumphantly and you blew him a kiss as you walked out his bedroom door, hoping to sneak out of the house before anyone woke up. But right as you rounded the corner into the kitchen you came face to face with Karen.
Karen’s eyes widened upon seeing you, makeup smudged around your face, your hair ruined. She nearly choked on her coffee.
“I’m assuming it went well?” Karen asked with a smirk.
“Yeah…” You cleared your throat, your skin heating up. “It went great.”
“I told you so,” Karen laughed.
“Now leave me alone, i’m doing my walk of shame,” you said, pushing the front door open. “But i’ll be back tonight!” You yelled, waving goodbye to her.
Karen laughed, shaking her head.

Friends | Warren Rojas x Reader
request by two anon: "Hey could you do warren x fem reader with 2 and 4 please thx!!" & "Heyyy! Could u write 2 from the prompt list with Warren?"
a/n: hii guys!! I mixed up your requests because they were for the same person with the same prompt. I really hope u two like, tell me your opinion of this. thanks for ask. slightly inspired by the song "Friends" by Ed Sheeran
prompt: 2. “I’m dying.” “You’re not dying.” and 4. “Fuck being friends!”
words: 1.5k
Tumblr media
You had returned from the movies with your friends Eddie and Warren, by Warren's request you saw the classic Rollerball. In the beginning you thought it would be just you and the drummer, he invited you last night, but when you told your bandmates that you two were going to the movies, Eddie decided to go with you and Warren. Eddie is a good friend of you so don't worry about it.
You didn't know but Warren was bothered by this, he cared a lot about it, he had invited you and not the bassist, he wanted to go to the movies only with you, he couldn't believe he lost an opportunity to be alone with you, it was as if the universe was fighting against him.
Every time he tried to be alone with you something happened and was in the way, he was so tired of it, it seemed like you guys couldn't be alone for too long. You were in the same band and couldn't be alone.
"What did you guys do while we were gone?" You asked Karen and Graham. They stared at each other before answering.
"W-We wrote some stuff for the album" Graham stammered a bit during the sentence and you didn't ask anything else.
Eddie starts talking about the album with Karen and Graham, meanwhile you went up to your room. You change your clothes for something more comfortable to sleep in and start tidy your hair when you hear a knock on the door.
You open and Warren was there "What's up?".
"Can I stay here with you? the conversation is fucking boring down there"
"There's not a lot of cool stuff going on around here, but you can stay." He came in, and you lay down on your bed while he stood there staring at you.
"Come here!" You tapped the space between your legs and the drummer got the message. He took off his jacket and lay down between your legs, his back was on your chest and you put your arms around him.
You have been in this same position many times, when he needed to talk or relax he would come to you and you would stay like that for hours, sometimes he would smoke a cigarette and share it with you, you would talk about everything or just sit quietly enjoying each other's company.
This looks a little too intimate, but you were friends and friends acted like this, isn't?
"So what do you think about the movie?"
"The same as the last three times we saw him" You touched his hair, you love his curls.
"Pufff, you are very boring. This movie is a work of art, it gets better every time you watch it."
I'll agree, just so we don't start an argument here"
"Boring, Boring, Boringgggggg"
"You came to my room and called me boring?" You pretend to be offended "You are banned from my room sir! Please leave immediately."
You put it aside and got up going to the door as you continued your performance.
"Nooooo, you can't kick me out. I can't live without you."
"Yes, You can, go now!"
"I'm dying. Do you want to carry the guilt of letting this poor man die?" He always did this drama with you
"You're not dying, you're perfectly well" You went to him and pulled him out of your bed, you tried because he was so much stronger than you, so it only took one tug from him for you to fall into bed with him. "Heyyy"
"If you weren't a guitar player, I'd say that you are a good actress" He turned to you. Now you were lying on your bed facing each other, staring at each other.
"Oh, thank you so much my fan! You're so kind and a good actor too!! If the band doesn't work out you know what to do"
"Yes, You and I we'll go to New York and starting some musical show on Broadway"
You started to laugh, you loved spending time with Warren, it was always so much fun, he always made you so happy, you could spend hours talking to him without losing interest.
The laughter stopped and you stared at each other, you got lost in each other's gaze, it was as if he had bewitched you, you couldn't stop looking, his eyes, his lips, everything about him was drawing you closer, the same happened to him and when you realized you were so close that your noses touched.
"Hey Y/n, I got some new mushrooms, me and the boys we are going to use so I thought you-" Karen said while entering the room.
You and Warren raised so fast in shock and the keyboard player lifted an eyebrow in confusion, she couldn't believe what she had seen. The drummer left the room leaving you alone with Karen.
"So..? You guys are…"
"No! Don't say anything more Karen, thank you but I don't want mushrooms now" You kick her out of the room, close the door and go to the bed. You couldn't believe what almost happened.
You and Warren almost kissed, came so close, looked so right, you can't lie, you wanted that to happen. But how can you think that? Warren was your bandmate! Your friend, you were just friends, he saw you as a friend and that was it and friends don't want one or the other right?
– – – –
The day before was so strange, you felt strange, when you saw Warren at breakfast you didn't know what to do, you looked away as soon as he looked at you. You didn't realize it, but he stared at you all through breakfast, he couldn't help himself.
You and the guys in the band got together in the living room to write some melodies and lines for the new album, you knew they might not make it on the album but it couldn't hurt to try and you loved writing.
It took a few hours of this, you and Warren were apart and didn't exchange a word which caught Karen's attention, she hadn't forgotten what she saw yesterday and she knew how close the two of you were, so to have the two of you ignore each other's existence was crazy.
After some many songs and ideas your friends start drink and use some things, so you said you were tired and went up to your room, after what happen with Billy
You wish you could control yourself that way about Warren too, because it was messing with your mind, you couldn't feel it, you couldn't want him, he was your friend.
You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn't even hear when someone came into your room and closed the door. "Y/n?"
Even with your back turned you recognized the voice, it was Warren.
You didn't want to turn around, because that meant you would have to look at him and stare at him, and you didn't know if you could control yourself. You gathered up all your courage and looked at him.
"Can we talk?"
"About what?" The drummer frowned his eyebrows
"About what?? Maybe about what happen last night with us"
"Nothing happened"
"Nothing happened?? Don't fuck with me Y/n! Don't lie to me, you know what I'm talking about" He came close to you "You feel this too and if it weren't for Karen you would kiss me, you can't lie about it"
"Warren please, don't make it worse than it is"
"Worse? I can't understand, I don't see nothing worse happen here, you want me and I want you to, and and that's what this is"
"No Warren, this can't happen, we're in the same band and we're friends"
“Fuck being friends!" He held your hands and brought the two of you closer. "You can't say we're just friends, friends don't treat each other like we treat each other, friends don't look at each other like this, friends don't share the same bed, and friends don't love each other like I love you.
He was exposing himself to you, confessing all that feeling he had held in his heart for so long. "Don't pretend you don't feel it too S/n, I know you and I know it stirred you too. Give me a chance to show you that I can be much more than a friend to you".
He was right, it's hard to admit that, but he's all you want since the beginning but try to put it aside with a friendship. But you two couldn't be friends, because as Warren said, friends didn't look at each other like you did, friends didn't share in the same bed, friends didn't love each other like you did, and friends didn't kiss each other like you and him were doing now.

thanks for reading!!

Better To Be Safe Than Sorry - Daniel Ricciardo
Tumblr media
Summary: two australians dressed by the same designer for the 2023 met gala. surely its not all just chance?
Warnings: shameless flirting
Pairings: daniel ricciardo x plussize!oc
Word count: 2.3k
She couldn’t believe her eyes when she looked back at her reflection of the tinted car door, the dress hugging her in all the right ways and accentuating her natural curves. She had never seen this body representation at something so prestigious such as the Met Gala save for a few household names such as Ashley Graham. She couldn’t believe it when she first received the invitation on behalf of designer Thom Browne who reached out via a handwritten letter and pitched his idea to her. At first the Australian actress was very apprehensive; was she famous enough for an event like this? She wasn’t used to dressing up like this, so incredibly fancy and she had only just become noticed since her role in Daisy Jones and The Six. She even had a whole team do her makeup and hair for her which she wasn’t used to unless she was about to film a scene.
She expected the tag stitched into the dress to scratch her back but instead it sat flush. It only had Thom’s name, her name and the Met Gala handwritten and the small gesture meant a lot to her surprisingly, it was a garment made just for her plump body. It was organised so all of Thom’s guests were arriving at the same time to showcase his work in a cohesive way, and it meant that organising a group shot was just that little bit easier. Stepping out of the car she was blinded by how lit up the walkway was, a cream colour leading her and ushering her towards the famous steps of the Met and towards the screaming crowds. She wasn’t entirely sure who else was dressed by Thom so she was excited to see and meet some famous faces as well as by other designers.
“Just follow me.” Lucille was met with a smile from some volunteers who rushed to both her side. She wasn’t overly excited to be walking in heels but she had a lot of practice to make sure she wouldn’t fall. The dress, however, hugged her thighs enough that it meant she had to take small and careful steps. She sucked in a deep breath, seeing the ‘TB’ embroidered between her breasts on the bodice move with her breathing and she plastered on a smile.
With each and every step Lucille found that the shouts of the photographers grew louder and the fans screaming in anticipation for the next guest to arrive. There was a little bit of a wait for the celebrities to allow a steady flow at the base of the footsteps and Lucille found herself beaming at Thom Browne when she saw his familiar face talking with presumably his other guests.
“Ah, my dear, my muse!” It seemed as if she was the last of his guests to arrive, eight more heads turning adorned in black and white, tulle and lace, camellias and different patterns. They all looked fabulous and as Lucille scanned briefly over their faces she found that it all suited them. Thom rushed over, embracing Lucille quickly and then pulled away, his arms on her bare shoulders as he stood back to admire his work. “Stunning. Absolutely stunning.” Lucille found her rosy coloured cheeks flush at the compliments but thanked the designer nonetheless.
Daniel was incredibly privileged to say the least when he received a handwritten letter from Thom Browne regarding an invitation to the Met Gala. He had watched Lewis attend and will admit, he found it to be a guilty pleasure to keep up with it every year. He admired the hard work the designers put in and the fuss about it. Now that his main focus was not on racing full time, it was a no-brainer that he would attend the Met Gala. He was all smiles when he first met Thom and that all continued to him actually seeing his suit for the first time to arrive second for the designer. A few months out of a long term relationship and he was thriving, he was just in awe as he looked around the tunnel leading to the waiting area. One by one the remainder of Thom’s guests arrived and piled up behind him, compliments flowing through the air, everyone's agents taking care of phones, bags and other items.
The naturally extroverted racer enjoyed meeting new faces, happily discussing his projects and the projects of others while they slowly moved forward. His back was turned as he anxiously looked past the people in front of him when Lucille arrived. The two were familiar with one another naturally being some of the few Australians that were famous outside of their home nation however when Thom gushed over her Danile found himself turning around. She looked absolutely stunning. The two had never crossed paths with one another before but Daniel was kicking himself over it now. She exuded confidence, kindness and warmth. He could tell she was nervous but as Thom greeted her she seemed to calm herself.
Lucille blushed as Thom showered her in compliments, some of the other guests commenting on her outfit, her makeup and her work in Daisy Jones. It was her first big event she had attended outside of small premiers where she played a menial side character; this was all quite different and overwhelming, in a good way. Lucille spotted Daniel Ricciardo in a black suit with delicate black ruffles that added different hues to the suit. Her body felt warm and fuzzy when he gave her a warm smile. She grew up in Melbourne and attended a fair few Melbourne GP’s growing up so she was quite familiar with the sport and with the man herself. He was easily top twenty of her male celebrity crushes. Okay, maybe top ten. Top five?
“Where is Rhonda?” Thom questioned, knowing that Lucille was usually accompanied by her manager.
“In active labour. I will be hopping up the steps while she’s pushing.” Lucille joked though Thom could tell she was nervous. Daniel felt guilty for eavesdropping but instead found an opening to introduce himself. He apologised as he pushed himself past Teyana Taylor and Jenna Ortega, his eyes focused solely on Lucille. One by one they slowly got called to make their way to the main area where all the hustle and bustle began and there was no set order so Daniel slowly held himself back. Thom moved forward to introduce his pieces to the Met Gala and hype up his team.
Lucille played with her nails as the team slowly dwindled down into just herself and Daniel and their volunteers got ready. Daniel went first and then it was just Lucille with the next guests arriving behind her and soon she was called up. Her steps were small as she held her head high, walking past several other volunteers who seemed to gush over her look. A few metres later she found herself surrounded by photographers and celebrities, fans turning to look at her and call out her name.
Daniel remained nearby Lucille, feeling somewhat wanting to introduce himself formally or be near her presence. Everyone else had a team of agents or PR representatives to help them pose or engage in interviews with certain people but being a new actress on the scene meant that she didn’t quite have her own team. At least being in a suit meant that it was easier to navigate the stairs leading into the Met.
Lucille found herself being called over to a young interviewer and smiled when the interviewer seemed surprised when she made her way over.
“Lucille Craig, I loved you in Daisy Jones, you look absolutely stunning on the carpet tonight and for your first Met Gala. Can I ask, who is dressing you and what was the inspiration?” It was incredibly loud all around her but at that moment her sole focus was on the interviewer.
“Thank you so much! I’m dressed by Thom Browne. We both collaborated and drew inspiration from Claudia Schiffer’s Spring 1993 Chanel bride look. I am thrilled to have been invited and to see so many different looks on different bodies and people. It’s a bit overwhelming.” Lucille let out a chuckle at the end of her sentence and patiently waited for the next part of the interview.
“We all look forward to seeing what's next for you. It was a pleasure to meet you and I hope you enjoy your night. Thank you!” Lucille thanked the woman before she was ushered in by the volunteers, the stairs coming closer and closer. She was growing more and more nervous but tried to keep herself contained. She smiled at some photographers, said some hellos to other celebrities and continued on her way.
Daniel smiled through a couple of interviews though he kept himself open towards the carpet, his eye always landing on Lucille from a distance. He answered questions to do with his career and his outfit to the best of his abilities but his mind kept going back to Lucille.
“Do you need some assistance, Miss Craig?” The Met Gala volunteer questioned Lucille as she made her way to the dreaded stairs. Lucille went to protest before she felt someone slide her arm through theirs causing her to snap her head to the stranger.
“No, no. I’ve got it from here, thank you.” Daniel spoke, offering a tight smile to the volunteer as Lucille’s hand clutched onto his bicep. The volunteer nodded, walking a few steps ahead of the duo. The small gesture seemed to spark excitement among the spectators and photographers as well as Thom as he stood at the top of the stairs, beaming down on the duo. Lucille sucked in a breath as she lifted one leg, testing the integrity of the dress and sighed with relief when it remained a couple of inches below her behind. “You’ve got this.” Daniel mumbled just loud enough for Lucille to hear, the girl grateful for the support. She gained confidence with each and every step she took, photographers calling out their names to get a pose. This would without a doubt cause some rumours the next day.
“Thank you, you didn’t have to do this.” Lucille spoke back, turning her head over her shoulder with her hair following elegantly as she looked back. They were about halfway up the staircase now.
“How could a gentleman like me not help a fellow beautiful Australian? Would be blasphemous.” Daniel joked, Lucille looking up at him briefly before letting out a rather unfeminine laugh. Daniel loved being a joker, he loved making people laugh however this felt different. He suddenly cared about her opinion, he cared about what she found funny.
They made it to the top of the stairs where a number of celebrities were posing for higher end magazines or being interviewed by much more important people. Lucille was fine to walk on her own now but found herself not ready to pull away from Daniel’s arm, and he wasn’t putting up much of a fight either. The two slowly walked with the small crowd on the carpet, both unsure of what to do next. The other guests for Thom Browne were scattered about with the designer standing even further along where guests were to be greeted by Anna Wintour herself and engage in a quick hello before moving along to tour the museum and potter around before the formal dinner.
“There’s so many people. Anne Hathaway, Jared Leto as a fucking furry, oh my God! Is that Ashley Graham?” Daniel admired this side of Lucille, or this side of anyone. Lucille had quite a following, especially after her role in the TV adaptation of Daisy Jones and the Six so she hadn’t quite warmed up to being a loved celebrity just yet that was grouped in the same calibre as these well known movie stars, singers and models. Lucille went to apologise for her behaviour, preparing to call it cringe worthy when she was interrupted by Anne Hathaway turning around, her eyes widening slightly and her perfectly poised smile turning into something genuine. “Daniel, please tell me Anne is looking at us, the Anne Hathaway?” Daniel went to respond but he found himself leading Lucille towards the famous actress.
“Daniel Riccardo! I’m a big fan of F1.” Daniel was taken by surprise that she knew who he was and then she turned to Lucille. “I loved your role in Daisy Jones, you were absolutely fabulous. You’re definitely a force to be reckoned with. I must get going, enjoy the night you love birds!” Anne bid them a farewell, bringing Lucille in for a brief kiss on the cheek and hug before rushing off. Daniel nor Lucille mentioned the last statement out of Anne’s mouth and instead they were both taken back by the interaction.
“She knew who I was.” It was like Lucille’s hand was a part of Daniel’s arm. It just felt so natural and conversation, no matter how small and lacklustre it was between the two, came naturally. Daniel wanted to get to know the girl a little bit more.
“She would be a fool to not know you are, Lucille.” Daniel flirted shamelessly, grinning as he noticed her cheeks flush darker than her rosy makeup. Lucille noticed she was still holding onto his arm even though they were no longer tackling steps. Had Daniel been too nice to tell her that her hand was on his arm. God, what a blunder.
“I am so sorry! I didn’t even realise.” Daniel only chuckled in response, pulling her back towards him. It was as if the two of them weren’t surrounded by flashing lights and people shouting, that it was just the two of them. It just felt natural for the both of them.
“Don’t be silly. I’m sure there’ll be more stairs. Better to be safe than sorry.”

Echoes of Pain & Love
pairings: karen sirko x fem! reader & karen sirko x graham dunne (for plot purposes)
a/n: hiii anon! hopefully this is up to standards cause i really enjoyed writing this fic - even if it is really sad (i'm sorry about that btw). i didn't add the second part of the request cause i didn't feel like it fit in naturally with the story if that makes sense. i love writing for karen (we are in desperate need of more karen fics) so i hope you enjoy this. used a different perspective with billy on this one cause i thought it would be interesting to look into that avenue of family ties. also i promise my next karen fic will be fluffy instead of the whirlwind that this is.
tw: drug addiction, mentions of cigarettes, swearing, religious trauma (slightly mentioned), abortion, pregnancy, period typical homophobia mentions, mafia mentions (? honestly it's like a comedy point so not really a tw), angst angst angst, kissing, drinking, rehab mentions, mental health problems kind of mentioned, overdose
description: the rise of the biggest band in the world and the cloud of pain and love that surrounds a particular member and the love of her life.
Tumblr media
Y/N Dunne: Hi? Is this on? Okay yeah great. We ready to start?
You were born in a small town called Hazelwood, Pittsburgh. Around 2 minutes before your twin, Billy. From that moment on you two were inseparable so when he wanted to learn guitar, you also learned guitar. When you took up your strange art hobby, he also started bringing a sketchbook everywhere along with him. So when your little brother Graham convinced him to join his little band, Billy also dragged you along with him.
You took the band almost as seriously as Billy, even if you still had some aspirations for going to university (which you never told Billy). Over the years until little Graham graduated high school you guys didn’t practice as much as you practiced the year after graduation. After each session your fingers were stinging and calluses upon calluses started to form.
You guys were playing gigs upon gigs and it was going incredibly well. Until you had to play a wedding, a wedding where your father was in attendance.
“Billy, Y/N what the hell? Are you guys okay?” You had rushed after Billy when you noticed that the creep dancing with the girl ages younger than him was your father. Currently you were holding your twin in your arms as unbridled rage filled your very being. You could feel that same rage radiating off Billy.
“You noticed the creep with the combover?”
“Yeah…”
“He’s our dad.” You responded, that made Billy unwarp himself from your arms and go thundering back into the wedding. You quickly followed him in and stood by his side as he confronted your father before smashing his guitar and storming off.
“Do you remember me?” You asked your absentee father after Graham punched him and walked off.
“Of course, girl. You have grown into quite a beaut huh?” A grossed out look overtook your face before you kneed that stupid little man right in the balls. As he kneeled over in pain you took the opportunity to spit on him and walk off in the direction of your brothers.
Warren: Y/N was and still is a badass. Never and I mean never underestimate that woman.
After that incident, life calmed down a bit. Practice continued and Camila appeared in your life after somehow Billy miraculously whisked her off her feet at a laundromat. You were happy to have another girl around and you would constantly tease Billy about how in love he was with her.
“You are such a softie!”
“I am not!” Billy had just gotten back from the dinner with Camila’s parents and he had found you watching tv and painting your nails in the living room with Graham napping on the other side of the couch.
“You know when you find someone I’ll be reminding you of these moments.”
“Shut up!” You threw the pillow that Graham had his head on towards Billy’s face which caused Graham to violently wake up to find his grown up siblings having a pillow fight in the middle of the living room.
Y/N: The night we opened for the Winters… right. Fuck that was night we all met Karen. *strained laughter* Graham was so in love with her. Oh! And Chuck right yeah that’s how I became the bassist. Billy nearly gave it to Eddie.
Chuck had basically rushed back inside his house, probably intimidated by all the very judgemental looks you all were giving him. Who would leave the band just like that? And to go into fucking dentistry?
“Okay how the hell are we going to play next week?” You asked as you stamped out your cigarette harshly.
“Eddie, you're going to have to be on bass.” Billy said with his usual commanding tone.
“Like hell I will.” Eddie responded with a scoff.
“Look we need-”
“I can do it.” You piped up, Eddie and Billy’s fights never ended well; it was as if a cloud of tension just permanently lived between them.
“What?” Your twin turned to you with a confused look on his face.
“Well I worked on the bass lines with Chuck cause he’s a mediocre player anyways so I pretty much know them front to back. Plus we don’t really need another rhythm guitarist anyways.”
“You sure?”
“Positive. You guys want to come over to practice at our house? I’m pretty sure mom went out with some of her friends.”
“Yup.”
“Sounds good.”
Y/N: I was lying about those bass lines by the way but someone needed to diffuse that situation.
Eddie: Fucking hell Y/N was a saving grace that day. She always was when the band was still together. I think it’s cause she knew Billy the best. They had this way of communicating that was downright creepy. Twin telepathy and all that crap.
The day you opened for the Winters started with cramping fingers and a slight tickle in your throat. You had barely been sleeping. Billy always called you a perfectionist and it was probably the worst trait to have when you were trying to prepare for the biggest night of your life. Then you saw… her.
The venue for one was stunning and huge. But what really lit up the place was the blonde on the keyboard. She was like an angel. So deeply entranced in the music and so fucking confident.
Men never really interested you. Sure they were attractive in the objective sense but whenever you thought of who you wanted to walk down the aisle for it was always a woman you envisioned. It had been like that since childhood. What made it worse was the church. Your mother wasn’t particularly religious but you always went to church on Sundays and the priest always spoke about homosexuals being part of the devil’s work.
You thought you needed to be fixed. Which is why you had tried throughout high school to date men or rather boys. But it never worked out. Whenever they got too close to kissing you you ended it with them or got Billy to help.
After that you just stopped trying to pursue that idea and just decided to live for the rest of your life alone. Or… with a woman if you ever found her. But living in Hazelwood, Pittsburgh had its challenges in that department. You would become the town pariah if you told the wrong person. And… you had no idea how to even start to mention it to your brothers.
But she was like an angel. Radiant under the stage lighting.
“Ooo somebody’s in love.” Oh fuck. You quickly spun around trying to see if Warren’s voice was directed at you but thankfully it wasn’t. Instead it was to your little brother who was staring at… her. Your heart clenched and your grip on your bass case tightened. The sharp pain sent through your aching fingers brought you back down to Earth. Of course she would never go for a girl, hell she’s probably straight. You briskly walked away from the pair and through the backstage door.
If you had turned around you would have noticed the girl’s eyes staring at you as you disappeared behind the swinging doors.
Y/N: I think I played okay that night. I mean the atmosphere was electric and I guess you could say that it was the night that marked the beginning of everything.
Billy: Y/N was incredible that night. She always downgrades her playing skills but it was as if she was born to play guitar. And no I’m not just saying that because she’s my twin.
Karen: I was stunned by Y/N when I first saw her play. When she told me, years later, that she had learnt all those riffs in less than a week I was blown away.
Y/N: Anyways after that night we headed off to the city of angels. Fucking Rod Reyes somehow convinced us. And well Billy also miraculously got Cami to follow us. Still don’t know how my imbecilic twin did it.
You were all gathered at one of the numerous LA diners as Graham made the phone call. The phone to that stunning woman that your brother (and you) had a big crush on. Her name was Karen. Karen Sirko.
You passed the cigarette you were sharing with Warren back to him as you watched your youngest brother flounder on the phone as he tried to talk to the supposed woman of his your his dreams.
“Look, just pass me the phone.” You said as you got up and took the phone from his slightly sweaty hands. Ignoring his protests you spoke into the receiver.
“Hi Karen. This Y/N Dunne.”
“Hi… Y/N Dunne. The bass player right?” Her silky British voice filled the phone and a slight shiver ran down your back.
“That would be me. Anyways what my idiotic little brother was trying to say-”
“Hey!” You heard Graham protest in the background.
“How would you like to join the band?”
“Oh bloody hell it’s burning. Guys it’s burning.”
“Uhh…”
“Sorry about that. Minor kitchen emergency.”
“You’re all good. So… what do you say?”
“To what?”
“Joining the band.”
“In Pittsburgh?”
“We’re actually in LA now. Gigs are lined up and we have a house in Laurel Canyon.”
“Hmm what do you think?”
“What do I think about what?” You asked as you leaned against the phone booth as everyone stared at you with anticipation, Graham most of all.
“Do you think it’s worth it?”
“You’re asking the wrong person. My mother always called my brother and I dreamers.”
“Hmm… you know what, yes. Send me the address and I’ll see you then.” Karen hung up the phone and you replaced it in the phone booth before turning around.
“Well?”
“We have a new member of the band!”
Y/N: I remember during those months that I had the strangest assortment of jobs. I worked at a movie theater, a bakery, an ice cream parlor, in a record store and I even think that I might have accidentally been working at a front for a mafia business. That was the secretarial job and it was the one I kept the longest. Employers let just say didn’t particularly like me. At least the mafia did so you know. That definitely says something about me. I had the secretarial job when Karen finally arrived.
You had had a very long and grueling day at the office dealing with a strangely large amount of angry Italian men. But you got through it and you finally came home… bearing the gifts that Warren and your twin always loved. Two slices of apple tart from your boss's mother who always appreciated giving them to you since he had a specific dislike of apples but a fear of his mother.
“Honeys I’m home!” You walked into the living room to find Graham, Warren and Eddie battling each other with the random things, a daily occurrence.
“Ooo did you get the apple thing?”
“Of course.”
“You are truly an angel sent from heaven.” Warren gave you a forehead kiss before he whisked away the white box in your hands.
“Yeah yeah.” You moved to go to your room which was quite literally the size of a broom closet but at least you had a bed. Even if it was crammed on top of a bunk with a desk under it. After you had changed out of your formal wear and into a button down and shorts. You slid into the living room with your pair of fluffy socks and snatched the blunt out of Eddie’s hands.
“Hey!”
“Oh shush I had to deal with a mob of angry Italians, this is the least you can do.” You slumped down on one of the couches and took a long hit that instantly relaxed your tired muscles.
“I don’t know how you’ve even held this job down for so long.” Eddie said as you passed the blunt back to him.
“No idea. It’s a fucking miracle.” You grabbed a random magazine from the pile and started to flick through the photos of really attractive supermodels.
“How many jobs did you have before this, remind me?”
“Probably like 20.” Graham said as he took a seat next to you.
“Fuck off.” You answered back as you blindly tried to kick him. “At least I tried to go get a job while the rest of you just idle around here like lazy dogs.”
“She does have a point there.” That was a new voice, you perked up and took a peak over your magazine as Karen took a seat on the couch in front of you and held out a glass of wine.
“Thanks. So are we ordering in or…”
“Nope, Billy and Warren said they were going to cook something.” That made you spin around and look at her with a horrified look on your face.
“Please tell me you’re joking.”
“No? Cami went to process some of her film a bit ago and they just volunte-”
“Oh fuck.” You quickly handed her the wine and threw the magazine on the couch before basically flying into the kitchen. Trying to salvage whatever disaster the boys had decided to cook up. Some kind of alien monster most likely.
Y/N: *laughing* Those were some good months. I actually miss those days a lot. I guess everything changed after Billy met Teddy Price at a supermarket. Weird coincidence but I swear on my life that it happened. Well I’m actually trusting Billy’s word on this so who knows?
Graham: Y/N was really happy in those months. I mean she was always happy. Like a ball of fire and positivity.
Karen: I got to know everyone a lot more due to how close we were living together. Y/N and I bonded as well but she mostly avoided me. Probably because of work. She was really busy, even with gigs. Cami and Y/N were basically the ones getting the extra money we needed to pull through each month.
Y/N: Karen said I was avoiding her? I mean… maybe I was. It was a weird time for me. It was also the time I met Daisy. Oh she didn’t tell you? Yeah I met Daisy ages before she joined the band.
Daisy: Y/N told you we met earlier than expected? Well she’s only telling the truth. Y/N was a truly kind hearted soul, she actually was there the night I first played for a live audience.
The girl on stage, Daisy Jones, was absolutely dazzling. You almost felt like a kindred flame was lit up in your heart. So of course you decided to come up to her with a glass of whiskey and a smile.
“Hi sorry to bother you but I just have to say you have an incredible voice.”
“Aww thank you darling. I’m Daisy by the way.”
“Y/N.” The rest of the night was spent around a bottle of whiskey and you also got to meet Simone. The three of you created a comfortable atmosphere around you and so over the painful months of trying to get Teddy to produce the band you kept in touch with the duo. Going out for drinks when none of you were playing gigs or recording.
Y/N: Like I said those were some good months. But I guess every good thing has to come to an end. *A sad smile appears on your face and you turn your face from the camera to quickly wipe your eyes.*
Graham was obviously enamored with Karen. Everyone saw it, everyone knew except for her. Your heart stung every single time he sent her that puppy eyed look. How could you be jealous of your brother?! It’s not like someone as beautiful as her would ever go for someone like you.
You bitterly took another sip of your drink when you felt a presence next to you. Carefully turning your head you were surprised to see Billy. It was his night after all. The night of his wedding. Really you couldn’t believe it.
“Hey? You okay?”
“Yeah.” He most definitely wasn’t and you had an inkling as to why, so you just leaned your head on his shoulder and gave him a one armed hug.
“Just know I will always love you okay. Through thick and thin. I’m your twin so you sure as hell are never getting rid of me.” He let out a wet chuckle before burrowing his face in your hair and giving you a squeeze back.
“I can’t believe I’m going to be a father.”
“You’re going to be a good one, Billy. I’ll make sure of that and Cami will make sure of that.”
“I don’t deserve either of you.”
“Nope don’t you go on saying that Mr. Dunne.” He laughed before pulling away from you and taking a swig of his beer.
“Do you want to be the kid’s godmother?”
“What?!” You looked up at him with widened eyes and a surprised expression on your face.
“Well I kind of talked it over with Cami and well we want you to be the godmother.”
“I’m already going to be the aunt though.”
“So should I tell her you said no…”
“Oh shut up Billy of course I’m saying yes.” You both laughed and he hugged you again. Harder this time.
“It’s all going to be fine.” You said into his shirt, trying to reassure your anxious twin.
“I believe you.”
Y/N: *silence as you anxiously pick your nails* Umm the tour right. I think that was more of the tour from hell. I was basically watching my brother destroy himself and his family. And I was powerless to stop it. So when you feel powerless what do you think we did back then? I took up pills. A secret little habit no one ever knew about.
You carefully tucked Billy into his bed after throwing the groupies out of his room and throwing out all the empty beer bottles. The remnants of cocaine were also swept onto the floor, and just as you were about to close the door you heard a voice.
“Y/N?”
“Yeah Billy?”
“Uh… thanks.”
“Anytime.” You said with a sad smile as a tear ran down your face before closing the hotel door.
“Fuckkkk.” You slumped down against the door and buried your face in your hands. It was this exact same routine. Over and over and over again. What were you going to tell Cami? Would you ever tell her?
“Hey you okay?” You heard that British accent that never failed to make you feel butterflies in your stomach, even if you sat devastated in a random hotel.
“Fine. You?” Quickly wiping away the remnants of tears and standing up so you were at eye level with Karen.
“You sure?”
“Yeah, Karen. No need to worry about me. Have you settled in okay?”
“Right yeah everything is great. I was just about to go for a smoke on the roof care to join me?”
“Sure sounds good.” You dusted off your hands and followed Karen up onto the roof before lighting up one of your cigs.
“Okay now tell me the truth. How are you really feeling?” She asked after an awkward beat of silence.
“Conflicted I guess.”
“About the whole Billy thing?”
“Yeah he’s my brother but… I hate seeing him like this. I don’t know. Shit… this is such a messed up situation isn’t it?”
“It really is. Now just stop thinking about it and watch the stars. That always does the trick with me.”
“Thanks Karen.”
“Anytime.” She sent you a comforting smile and you laid your head in her lap. That constant weight on your shoulders already dissipating by just being around her.
Y/N: A few more shows in Cami came to visit. It was a surprise and honestly I’m pretty sure she knew something was up. I met up with her when I went to do my nightly check up on Billy since I had been at the record store all day.
Camila: I would never blame Y/N for what was going on with Billy. I think she was the one who at least didn’t let him slip off the deep end but I wish she had told me about it.
You didn’t know about Cami’s trip so when you went to check up on Billy suddenly the door swung open and a very pregnant Camila stormed out.
“Cami?” You asked in a strained voice.
“Y/N hey.”
“Look I’m so fucking sorry. I tried to get him to tell you or I would have called-”
“No no I get it. You’re his twin, you will always try to protect him. I gave him an ultimatum.”
“I’m assuming you’re letting him fuck around until the kid is born right?”
“Yeah.”
“I’ll try to make sure he gets better okay?”
“That isn’t-”
“No it is. Now come here. Let me hug my favorite sister in law.” You enveloped Cami in a hug and smoothed your hands across her back as she started sobbing into your shoulder.
“It’s going to be okay. Shhh, it’s all going to be fine. When is your flight?”
“Tomorrow morning.”
“How about you come stay with me until then? That way you don’t have to see Billy or pay for another room.”
“Yeah that sounds good.”
Y/N: Those shows were a disaster. Billy was getting worse and I had no way to stop it. I didn’t try to take away his drugs or the fucking groupies. The one time I tried… no okay he doesn’t even know about that. So the day Julia was born, that wonderful little bundle of joy, Teddy got Billy into rehab. And I became Jules’ godmother. I thought everything was going to get better after that and it did for a while. For everyone else.
Billy: I came out of rehab and I quit the band. I think Graham and Y/N were the only ones who understood why. Y/N got the brunt of my addiction though. She was like a shining beacon but I never realized how much it had affected her…
Y/N: I wasn’t fine.
That stupid green monster called jealousy invaded your veins each time you saw him with her. You should be happy for your brother but it was the complete opposite. Warren was even questioning you as to why he never saw you with anyone, you only brushed off those questions by telling him to fuck off.
Pill numbers were multiplying by the day and as you sat in the recording studio waiting for whatever miracle Teddy thought would save your band you could almost feel the chemicals moving through your blood. You took another swing from the coffee cup in your hand to try and distract yourself from how big Karen’s smile was as she looked at Graham.
Falling for a straight girl. What an fucking cliche.
“Can I get a glass of milk and a whiskey? Or just a whiskey if you don’t have milk. Or just milk if you don’t have whiskey?” Now that was a familiar voice. You perked up from your little alcove in the recording room to see that chaotic ball of pure energy which belonged to one of your best friends. Daisy Jones was in the house.
“DAISY JONES? Do my eyes deceive me?” You rushed up and enveloped her in your arms. “Why didn’t you tell me that you were coming?”
“Well I didn’t know until last night.”
“You look incredible, I love this shirt.” She smiled and did a little twirl to show off the buttondown.
“Stop, now you look absolutely stunning. Where did you manage to find a coat like this?”
Karen: I remember feeling a strange kind of anger the day we met Daisy Jones. It wasn’t directed at her, it’s just… I don’t think it really clicked that Y/N had a life outside the one I saw her in.
Graham: It wasn’t really a surprise, Y/N was friends with everyone. Did she tell you about that mafia thing?
“You guys done with this little reunion cause we need to get on with it.”
“Stop being such an asshole Billy. But yeah we should probably get this show on the road.” You made your way into the soundbooth with the rest of the band after giving Daisy one more squeeze and a comforting smile.
“So how do you know Daisy?” Karen whispered in your ear, making you jump. She was way closer than you had anticipated.
“Oh I went to one of her shows. We got to know each other after, that’s how I met Simone as well. Where do you think I disappear off to all these nights?” That response elicited a slightly guilty look on Karen’s face.
“I always thought you were in your room. I guess I’ve just never seen you sneak out.” Wow, you hadn’t realized how good you had gotten at hiding your little bad habits.
“Hmm.” You hummed back and then turned to look at your brother and Daisy, nervously picking at your nails. Oh god why did you tell Karen that. She now thinks you’re some kind of crazy party girl.
The rest of the recording session was kind of a mess. You suddenly realized why you had been so entranced by Daisy when you first met her. She reminded you so much of your twin. You had felt that instant connection because you had the same connection with Billy. Their personalities bashed against each other because they fit so well together.
Y/N: I think we all noticed the Daisy and Billy thing. But I was just scared. I was scared for Billy and for Daisy. I care for them so so much but I don’t think I could have predicted what all came next. I had an inkling though. And that is what scared me.
You had joined Karen when she basically dragged you to go to the record store with her. Ever since your admission about your nights out it seemed as if she wanted to spend more and more time with you. Not that you minded.
You stood next to her as you sifted through the rows of different music selections. You weren’t particularly looking for anything but were looking out for some new stuff. It was always interesting to hear new sounds when suddenly you heard the girl at the till.
“Is this the one with ‘Look At Us Now’?” You exchanged glances with Karen with giddy smiles starting to paint your faces. No fucking way.
“Oh shoot I don’t think I have enough.” Karen was about to pull out some money but you stilled her hand by grabbing her wrist. Winking at her you grabbed a 5 dollar bill from your jacket pocket and put it on top of the record. Your record.
“Here.”
“Oh thanks.”
“No problem.” You linked arms with Karen before heading out of the store letting out giggles.
You took a seat next to Julia as you fed her little pieces of food whilst cooing at her. Billy was once again complaining about the song and Cami was trying to calm him down.
“Has anyone looked through the mail recently?”
“Oh fuck sorry I meant to sift through those last night. Mia culpa and all that.”
“Don’t worry about it.” Karen sent you a soft smile before her face turned to shock as she stared at the envelopes. “Does anyone know what these are?”
“No way.” You quickly snatched the letter that was addressed to you from her hands and started dancing around the kitchen. “Look Jules, aunty has got some money now.”
Y/N: The first thing I bought… Karen tried to get me to buy stock. But no… I umm I bought a motorcycle.
Graham: Okay so one thing you need to know about my sister is that she has like zero self preservation.
Y/N: Graham said that?! Oh that little shit. That isn’t true. I got a helmet too. That bike basically became my baby.
You were sitting out on the balcony after Billy and Cami moved out. Which meant you could finally do drugs freely, well not that freely but that’s beside the point. You were lying on the floor staring at the stars as Warren went on and on about how he and the canyon were connected. It was strangely funny in your drugged out state that you burst out laughing. Pills and psychedelics might not have been the best combination.
In your defense you thought you were about to go to bed so you took a combination of sleeping and pain pills but then Karen dragged you upstairs to try out whatever this thing was. And all in all you were having a great time until it happened.
You peaked through your fingers to see Karen’s hand on Graham’s chest. It was just against his heart. Like she was metaphorically holding his heart in her hand but in that moment it felt like it was your heart that she had just crushed into a pulp.
So you just closed your eyes and let the drugs overtake your senses. Letting them all wash away that pain of heartbreak.
Y/N: Hawaii was incredible. Billy was an asshole. And Daisy shined. I think that’s about all I can remember from that time. *a tight smile appears on your face* People never notice things until they come to the surface. I hid things very well for a long time.
Cami had invited you to the housewarming party and when you were having a catch up with Daisy in her hotel’s pool you realized she was too. You hadn’t told her about the whole being a lesbian thing, not that you didn’t trust her but you didn’t want her to treat you differently. You were just scared of what she would see in you even if she had fully accepted Simone.
Simone had gone to New York because of a woman. Simone who was the only person who knew you liked women. Simone the glue that held Daisy together. You both missed her deeply and that is why you were hanging out with Daisy at the pool.
So on the night of the housewarming, Daisy’s arms were wrapped around your waist with a pineapple balancing in your lap as you sped through the streets of LA until you arrived at the house.
Daisy was the first to hop off before taking off her helmet and handing it to you. You did the same and took the keys out of the ignition before following Daisy inside. You weaved through the crowds with her arm around your shoulders when Cami spotted the two of you.
“Daisy you came! And with Y/N. Now this is a strange development.”
“You didn’t mention me before? I am offended.”
“Well it’s not my fault it’s so hard to describe someone so radiant. I’m going to go check up on Billy. It’s good to see you, Cami.”
“We need to see each other more often Y/N. Jules has been missing you.”
“Oh I bet.” You gave her a smile before bounding over and enveloping Billy in a bear hug. “How is my favorite twin doing?”
“Hi Y/N, it’s good to see you too. What’s got you so energetic today?”
“Wow I can’t just be excited to see my brother?” In reality, you had sneaked some of Daisy’s cocaine stash while she was in the bathroom. It was your first time on the drug and you suddenly realized how Billy got addicted to this stuff. You hadn’t felt this good in ages.
“No no that’s not at all what I’ve been saying. How have you been?”
“Good. I’ve missed having you and Cami around.”
“No you haven’t.” He said with a conspiratorial smile on his face.
“We haven’t been separated before Billy before I miss having my twin around.” That second the mask slipped, the mask that said I’m fine.
“Y/N?”
“I umm I’m going to get myself a drink. See you later Billy.” You slipped out of his grasp and grabbed a glass of whiskey and made your way to the living room where you saw Graham flirting with some blonde. Okay now that is a strange development. You took a seat next to a confused looking Karen on one of the couches.
“You okay?”
“Oh hey you came.”
“That I did. So what’s going on?”
“Did you know that Graham was in love with me?” That made you spit out the remaining whiskey in your mouth.
“What?” You said after coughing for a solid minute.
“Graham told me he wanted to be with me.”
“And you said?”
“No obviously.”
“Oh okay.” That stupid sentence shouldn’t have made you fill up with hope but it did.
“So you don’t have any comments?”
“I mean what do you want me to say?”
“I don’t know.”
“Right I umm I’m going to leave you alone then.”
You spent the night at Cami and Billy’s house, they had already set out the spare room for you since Billy didn’t want you driving on that vehicle of death as he liked to call it in the middle of the night.
Y/N: The first day that we were officially Daisy Jones & The Six couldn’t have started anymore disastrously. I was finally starting to cut back on pills because after the cocaine inci-
Interviewer: Sorry to interrupt but uh what was the cocaine incident?
Y/N: *a pained look overcame your face* I don’t think you want to hear about this.
Interviewer: I want to know it all.
Y/N: Right so I guess you will be the second person to ever know the story about the cocaine incident. The first was the doctor who found me overdosing in a park. It had become a habit to swipe Daisy’s coke stash. So on that night I had been adventurous and took a little more than usual. That ended up with me on a park bench with foam coming out of my mouth. Mark found me after a shift, he basically revived me by throwing me in a lake and getting me to his house. There he was able to flush the drugs from my system. I made him promise the next morning to never tell anyone and that was that. I don’t remember much of the encounter but I stopped the majority of the drugs after that.
Interviewer: I’m sorr-
Y/N: *with tears rolling down your face* Don’t be sorry. I’m alive and yeah it was probably not a good idea to not have told anyone but I was one of those people who didn’t believe in weaknesses. Anyways, I was kind of going through a big withdrawal period during that first session. Teddy was a fucking saviour as always and got Daisy and Billy to go write a song. I spent my day cruising around the streets of LA on my bike trying to fight off a killer migraine.
You arrived home before Warren and Eddie did and what greeted you was the sounds of moaning. So you quickly slipped into the back and took a peek into the living room. The sight on the couch made your heart split in two. Karen and your brother…
You soundlessly turned and closed the backdoor before quickly wiping the tears that started to form at the sight of Warren and Eddie.
“Where have you two been all day?”
“We could ask you the same question.”
“Well I was at the garage for a bit and then I went to the hills and cruised around. And by the popcorn I’m guessing you went to see Rollerball again.”
“Damn right sister.” You laughed and followed them inside when you heard the phone ringing.
“Is anyone going to get that?” You asked as you walked into the living room, looking at Karen and Graham who looked very disheveled.
“Uh yeah.”
Y/N: That was the first time we heard Let Me Down Easy. And it was incredible… but Daisy and Billy. They realized that connection. And that hug at the end of the session. Well it said it all.
Interviewer: So did you notice anything different about Y/N around the time you recorded Aurora?
Billy: Uh not really? I was kind of immersed in the writing process of it all. Why? Did she say something?
Graham: She was more reserved I guess. I barely saw her other than in recording sessions and at home. I was kind of busy too with uh I guess you could call it love.
Karen: Yeah she was avoiding me. I wanted to be around her a bunch but Graham was giving me something I always wanted. And she was more tired. Like almost lethargic.
Warren: Not really? She spent a lot more time with me though. We discussed movies a lot together.
Eddie: She looked exhausted a lot of the time. Wait, why are you asking this?
Y/N: I was mentally drained during that time. I was avoiding Karen and Graham because of obvious reasons. I tried to date a few guys. That was a bad time. Me and men don’t go well together but uh I was grieving a lot and on top of that I was heartbroken. I wasn’t in the greatest place and it kind of fucked with me.
Daisy: I wasn’t spending as much time with Y/N as I probably should have been.
Y/N: After the album was finished and everyone went their separate ways, I went to a rehab center in Switzerland. The only person who knew was Teddy. I was an insanely secretive person but I needed to have someone know where I was. Teddy was like a father to me and he helped with everything.
Billy: I kind of freaked when I realized that no one knew where either Daisy or my sister were. Teddy had no idea where Daisy was but he told me Y/N went on a trip. That she would be back in a month and she was. But she was different. I think that was when I realized how fucking miserable she must have been while I was trying to deal with all my shit.
Y/N: Rehab was the best thing I could have ever done. I went back home and I moved out to this little apartment which was next to this secret beach. I finally felt so much better. I remember that day when I came to collect all my shit from my old room. I had bought a mustang when I left the airport. My beloved car.
You took a deep breath before cutting the ignition of your car and stepping into the house that held so many memories. So much heartbreak.
“Y/N holy shit you’re back.” Warren grabbed you and pulled you into a bear hug which everyone quickly joined once they realized who had stepped through their front door.
“Where the hell have you been?” Karen asked as she looked at you with a deep worry in her eyes.
“I uh went to rehab.” Their shocked faces made you burst out laughing. “Oh god I needed that, it has been a somber few days.”
“Why did you even go to rehab?”
“I needed to go away and get shit straightened out. Now how have all of you been?” You spent the rest of the afternoon catching up and drinking ginger beer while everyone drank regular alcohol. When you broke the news that you were going to move out it didn’t really faze anyone since Warren had basically permanently moved into his houseboat. That crush you had for Karen was still there but you were happy for your little brother. Wow, you could finally say that truthfully in your head.
“I’m sorry I didn’t notice.” Karen said as she helped you pack up some of your valuables.
“Notice what?”
“How much you were struggling.”
“Karen, it’s okay. Plus I know you were busy having a boyfriend.” You forced out a smile before placing another one of your numerous trinkets into your suitcase.
“How did you know?” Karen had an almost guilty look on her face that made you look at her with a confused expression.
“I’ve known for ages. I’m not as clueless as the other idiots.”
“And how do you feel about it?”
“Well I’m happy for you of course. Graham really likes you.”
“Is that it?”
“What else do you want me to say?”
“I… thanks.”
“No problem. Thanks for helping with packing.” After all that was finished you put everything in the trunk with the help of Warren.
“When the hell did you get a Mustang?”
“Well I needed an extra car since my bike wouldn’t hold all my stuff. I got her this morning.”
“I always did appreciate your taste in cars.” You both laughed and exchanged a hug.
“Take care of yourself Warren. I’ll see you at the meeting on Monday.”
“You too. You heading home?”
“Nah I’m going to check in with Billy first.”
“Okay. Bye Y/N.”
“Bye Warren.” You waved at the group who had collected at the front porch before speeding off in the direction of your twin’s house.
You stood in front of the door before finally having the courage to knock. The door was immediately swung open by Camila.
“Oh my god you’re here. Billy get down here!” Cami yelled into the house before grabbing you and squeezing you into a hug.
“Are you okay? Teddy said you were on a trip but we were worried.” All of a sudden Billy appeared at the door carrying Julia and having the most relieved smile on his face.
“Oh Y/N. Come here.”
“Yes, come in. I’ll get you some tea.” Billy put down Jules before he enveloped you in that familiar embrace. God you had missed him. Julia came over and hugged your leg, making you laugh as you picked her up.
“Hey there Jules. You’ve gotten so big.”
“Where were you?” Billy asked as you took a seat on the couch as Julia nestled into your chest.
“Switzerland. I wanted to tell you but I really didn’t want to disappoint you, Billy.”
“What do you mean?”
“I had to go to rehab. I know I should have talked to you-”
“No no, I get it. I’m so fucking sorry I wasn’t there for you. You deserve someone better than me as a brother. Cause I sure as hell don’t deserve you.”
“Shut up, Billy. You’re my twin and I’ll love you to the ends of the earth.”
The rest of the night was spent in tears and laughs. You finally spent some much needed time with your other half. Being a twin meant you had a companion for life but it hadn’t felt like that for a while.
Y/N: I spent most of the tour around Billy. We shared the separate bus with Graham but he usually ended up staying over at Daisy’s bus. And Nicky well Nicky was a horrible fucking person and I noticed how much of a hold he had over Daisy. I felt powerless all over again. I tried to talk to her about it but she wouldn’t listen to anyone. I understood that feeling. I was that person only a few months ago.
Daisy: Y/N and Billy tried. Y/N tried to help so much that now that I think back on it she might have been the only thing keeping me from really surrendering myself to Nicky.
Y/N: Billy found her overdosed in the bathroom one night. That kind of changed everything for Daisy. Oh and Karen and Graham became official.
You were snuggled up next to Billy as you watched a random movie. Ginger beer was sitting in front of you and popcorn littered the bus's couch. You had spent the past few nights crying yourself to sleep. As if that would change the fact that Karen was in love with your little brother.
Then the bus’s door unlocked and in walked Daisy Jones. You felt Billy instantly perk up and shut off the tv. Billy Dunne was in love with Daisy Jones and you were powerless to do anything. Billy couldn’t admit it to himself but you knew the truth. You had known the man since the second he was born.
“Would it be okay if I slept here tonight?”
“Of course Daisy. I’ll leave you guys to it.” You gave your brother a quick nudge before disappearing into the bunk section. Snuggled under the covers you drifted off into dreamland with the sound of their intermingling voices in the background.
Y/N: When Teddy nearly died, it felt like the world stopped. I even went to a chapel. I couldn’t have him leave us just yet.
You were kneeling in one of the pews of the hospital chapel. Praying and just begging God to let him live. You would do anything if you could just have him back.
When you got the news that he was going to be fine, you went into the room before Billy did. He understood the importance of that to you.
“Hey old man. I’m glad you’re not dead yet.”
“You ain’t getting rid of me that easily.” That was when Teddy noticed your tear tracks. “ Oh sweetheart.”
“Can’t have you dying on me okay?”
“I won’t. I promise you.”
Y/N: Pittsburgh never felt like a home to me. LA had become that. At least I didn’t feel judged in every corner of the town. But I missed my mother.
The night before you were meant to leave for Pittsburgh you heard a soft knock on your hotel room door. Rising from your position on the bed, you threw your journal and pen back into the covers and padded over to the door. And there stood Karen. As beautiful as ever but with tears running down her face.
“Kare? What’s going on?” She looked into your eyes and suddenly you knew. Oh she was pregnant.
“I’m sorry. I’m so fucking sorry.” She visibly brightened a little before she delved into your arms and you held her through the night. Selfishly feeling happy that she was spending the night in your arms instead of your brother’s.
You awkwardly sat at the edge of your mother’s backyard. Taking sips of a glass of lemonade as you leaned your head on Karen’s shoulder.
“What’s going on?” You saw Cami walk up to the both of you with a concerned look on her face. You twisted your head to look up at Karen as she gave Cami a sad smile. Cami’s face morphed into something concerned before she gave you both a hug.
“I’m sorry.”
“Hey I’ll leave you two to discuss for a bit, okay?”
“Yeah I’ll see you later honey.” Karen’s little nickname for you made your heart flutter as you gave them both a smile before making your way to where Billy was talking to Chuck. The fucking dentist. You put your hands over your twin’s eyes and leaned next to his head.
“Guess who?” You asked, trying to deepen your voice as much as possible.
“Hmm I don’t know. Who could it be? I’m thinking it’s Y/N.”
“Spoilsport. Hey Chuck.” You made your way to stand next to Billy as he let out a chuckle at your childish antics.
“Hey Y/N. You look good.”
“Why thank you. I’m wearing Dior.” You gave him a slightly cutting smile before taking another sip of lemonade.
Warren: Y/N could be incredibly cutthroat when she wanted to. One of the best things about her.
Y/N: The Pittsburgh show went well. It was weird being home again. But the crowd was insane and Daisy and Billy well… they were Daisy and Billy.
The next morning after the show you went to the clinic with Cami and Karen. You held her hand during the procedure and gave her a comforting smile throughout it. She didn’t want pity or sadness and you knew that. You were always going to be there for her. Even if it was only as a friend.
Y/N: In all honesty, I thought everything was going great. Obviously I could see the tension between Daisy and Billy, I was literally living with them. I felt like a third wheel a lot of the time.
You could feel the palpable tension in the air as you played through the set. Billy looked heartbroken but also fucking elated, Daisy looked like she was having the time of her life, Eddie had a black eye, Graham couldn’t even look at Karen, Karen looked devastated but she kept sneaking glances your way, Warren looked like well Warren looked normal and you just did what you normally did, you observed. You mostly observed Karen because she looked really fucking hot in that outfit.
Then the set ended. Billy ran off to chase Camila and Daisy kept on singing. You knew it was the end. So before you went backstage you looked out onto the crowd one last time and sent them a kiss with a sad smile.
You were packing up your guitar when you felt a warm hand on your shoulder. You turned around to see Karen. In all her glory with a bright smile on her face.
“You don’t know how long I’ve wanted to do this. I’m sorry it took so long for me to realize it.” Then she pulled you into a kiss. A kiss that reminded you of all of the things you had gone through since the start of the band. A kiss that felt like that pulsating crowd. A kiss that felt like pure unadulterated love.
“Wow Karen Sirko I didn’t know you had that in you.”
“Well Y/N Dunne I can’t wait to live out life with you.” You laughed before grabbing her and pulling her into a deeper kiss than before.
Daisy watched on as one of her favorite people in the world finally got her happy ending. And she felt calm for the first time in a while.
Karen: I wasn’t being completely honest with Graham for our entire relationship. I was literally in love with his sister throughout most of it but I didn’t know that I was. Until that night she just held me while I cried about being pregnant.
Y/N: *entwining your hand with Karen’s as the camera pans to allow you into frame* Karen is the only person I could ever imagine a life with. We live out in the mountains and I became a writer. And this incredible woman right here makes some of the best music out there.
Karen: Now you’re exaggerating.
Y/N: Shh I’m having a moment. So yeah Jules that’s how this whole thing has come to pass. I wouldn’t have changed one bit, it all led me to being with this beautiful woman whom I love with my entire being.
Julia: You know I think you’re like one of the coolest people ever right?
Y/N: Aww I love you so much kid. You’re definitely one of my favorite nieces, don’t tell Graham’s kids. *the camera cuts as you and Karen let out loud laughs*
THE END.

don't go pt.2 - Billy Dunne PT1 - don't go
Warnings: slight angst, fluff, mentions of drugs, mentions of overdose requested by the lovely @sunnysidesadie
Tumblr media
Everybody in the band could tell there was a shift in your and Billy's relationship (if you could call it that) but nobody except you, Camilla, and Billy actually knew why.
they didn't know it was because he stayed with you when you were dying of an overdose or that he wouldn't leave your side for the days afterword and you planned on keeping it that way
you still fought, I mean this is you and Billy were talking about, there was no way everything would get done without some kind of bump in the road along the way but it happened less and less
The more alone time you spent together was less writing songs and more basking in each others presence talking about nothing and everything
It was the first night you went out again after that everything seemed to start to go bad again, you two had a fight consisting of screaming back and forth why you should and shouldn't go out
“It’s too soon!” Billy yelled trying to get his point across to you
“It will always be too soon Billy, if I don't face it now I never will!” you rebutted
And that was the end you had decided you were going and nobody could stop you.
But as the night progressed you realized more and more how right Billy was, you weren't ready and you would much rather be in some hotel with him talking for hours than doing what everyone else was at this party.
You felt clammy and uncomfortable, the large room felt tiny with how many people were in it and you couldn't find room to breath
‘What am I doing, I can't handle this’ you kept telling yourself trying to find an exit but you couldn't see one especially in the maze of people
But you did see him, Billy, you didn't know what he was doing here being as he never partied anymore but you had never been more thankful as you rushed over to him
He caught you in his arms seeing the pale look of panic on you face
‘Hey, hey you okay?’
‘Can we please just- please can we leave’ you begged him
‘ of course’ he said never letting go of you as he made his way tho the exit
He decided he wouldn't tell you why he was there. He wouldn't tell you he stayed in that gross smelly party just to keep an eye on you. It would only make you feel worse.
He held onto you the entire way to the hotel room until the second you sat down on the white fluffy bed
‘I’m sorry’ you said quietly
‘You were right for once’
Your snarky comment brought a smile to his face
‘Anytime darling’ he responded
As you two sat together on the edge of sleep you looked up at him and smiled
Sitting up you leaned over and pecked his lips
‘Thank you’ you say laying back down on his chest
‘Of course’
-------
Ok I hoped you liked it cause I loved writing it and thank you for all the love on the first part!!!! and that you for reading this part!!

Tumblr media
pairing: reader x ben chilwell summary: Of all the men in London, Ben Chilwell would’ve been extremely low on the list of who you would expect to meet at a random party your friend dragged you to. You know who he is, obviously - your younger brother is a massive Chelsea fan, as was your dad before he passed away unexpectedly a couple years ago - but you hardly run in the same circles as professional footballers. Until now. warnings: mentions of death of a parent, takes place in a fantasy world in which chelsea will plausibly beat arsenal this season word count: 2.5k
author’s note: hi! i’m very new to the tumblr football world but needed a distraction from chelsea’s current situation, so here we are! i’ve noticed there aren’t enough fics for ben and this is my first time writing for him, pls let me know what you think and feel free to hmu about all things chelsea :) title from king of my heart by taylor obv
*faceclaims for y/n and your best friend are camila morrone and suki waterhouse bc i am obsessed with daisy jones and the six lmao
Of all the men in London, Ben Chilwell would’ve been extremely low on the list of who you would expect to meet at a random party your friend dragged you to.
You know who he is, obviously - your younger brother is a massive Chelsea fan, as was your dad before he passed away unexpectedly a couple years ago - but you hardly run in the same circles as professional footballers.
Until now.
A few months ago, your flatmate and best friend Charlotte got an amazing new job in PR. Since then, she’s been invited to a million fancy events and met a lot of famous (and semi-famous) people. Just last week, she went to the opening of a new club and apparently met some incredible, funny, super attractive guy who invited her to a party at his house tonight.
Although you’ve been really trying to push yourself to go out more lately and enjoy being young in the city, your idea of a perfect Friday night is often just staying in and reading or watching Netflix, so you still take some convincing.
“Charlotte, do you even know anything about this Mason guy?” You ask as Charlotte begins to put her makeup on in the bathroom of your shared flat, a tiny but cute two-bed in North London. “Like, his last name, his job, anything?”
“Nope,” Charlotte shrugs. “But I know he’s fit, and probably posh because the address he gave me is in South Kensington.”
You raise an eyebrow. “Didn’t know you were a gold digger now?”
“I’m not, but posh means open bar,” Charlotte grins. “Now hurry up and get ready.”
You reluctantly drag yourself up off the floor and go to your closet to put on your favourite little black dress - a safe bet for any party, regardless of how casual or fancy it might be.
After doing your hair and makeup and taking a couple shots to ease any social anxiety brewing in your stomach, Charlotte calls an Uber and you’re on your way. You quickly post a photo of the two of you before you leave.

When you reach the address this Mason guy gave Charlotte, there’s music blaring from the house. Several very expensive-looking sports cars are parked outside, and there are a few people sitting on the front steps, drinking and laughing.
“Don’t worry, Y/N,” Charlotte says as your car pulls up. She can obviously tell that you’re worried about socializing with all these strangers, especially ones way above your tax bracket. “We’ll get some drinks and have fun. Hey, maybe Mason has some cute friends he can introduce you to?”
You roll your eyes. Dating is far from a priority for you at the moment, having just begun the career in publishing that you’ve wanted since you were a little girl. Work is your focus, but you know Charlotte is right. It wouldn’t hurt to have a little fun.
“Okay, let’s do this.”
Before you can even fully get out of the car, still straightening out your dress and making sure you have your phone and purse, you hear Charlotte yell “Mason!” and run over to the group of people on the steps.
As you follow her and finally get a good look at the guy Charlotte won’t shut up about, you nearly trip over your own feet.
You recognize him instantly - Mason Mount, Chelsea midfielder. You may not follow the club the way you used to before your dad died two years ago, but you remember watching Mount score a hat trick during one of the last games you went to.
Charlotte doesn’t follow football at all, so you figure she also has no idea that standing next to Mason are his England national teammates Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham.
You, however, can’t help but be a little starstruck. Football was a big part of your life growing up, and it’s a bit surreal to see all these athletic superstars right in front of you.
Thankfully, they’re all occupied with Charlotte and don’t seem to notice you until you regain your bearings and walk over to Charlotte’s side.
“Y/N, this is Mason and Declan,” Charlotte grins. “And what was your name again, sorry?”
“Jude,” Bellingham answers, smiling at you and shaking your hand. “What’s your name, love?”
“Y/N,” you answer, trying not to blush at the attention as Mason and Declan greet you.
“Well, come on in, ladies,” Mason smiles, gesturing to the front door. “Bar’s in the back, and there’s loads of food in the kitchen.”
As Mason leads the way into the house, which is just as massive and stunning as its exterior, you hang back a bit and grip Charlotte’s arm tightly.
“What is it?” Charlotte asks, furrowing her eyebrow.
“Charlotte, they’re not just posh, they’re footballers,” you explain, gesturing to the literal Champions League trophy casually sitting on a shelf. “Like, some of the best in the country.”
“Footballers?” Charlotte’s eyes widen for a moment. “Oh my god, so you know who they are?”
“Yeah, babes,” you chuckle. “Mason plays for Chelsea. I’ve watched him play for Chelsea.”
Charlotte’s face falls a bit, and she lowers her voice. “Oh, shit, do you want to leave? I know Chelsea was your thing with your dad-“
“No, no,” you wave her off with a small smile. “It’s alright, let’s have fun. He is super fit, and he probably finds it endearing that you clearly have no idea who he is.”
“Now that I think about it, he did mention having training in the morning last weekend. I think I asked what he was training for.” Charlotte laughs. “Shit, that’s a bit embarrassing.”
“Nah, he seems into you,” you comment, noting the way Mason’s eyes are glued to Charlotte as the two of you continue to speak privately. “Now go talk to him, I’m gonna go get a drink.”
Charlotte nods and returns to Mason’s side. God, it feels strange to see your best friend chatting up a guy you watched play in the World Cup on TV a few months ago.
You make your way to the back garden, weaving your way through lots of guys - some of whom you recognize as other footballers - and lots of very pretty girls. As promised, there is a full-service bar outside, and you order a vodka coke for yourself.
Thanking the bartender, you decide to stay out here for a few minutes. You’ll return to the party eventually, but you want to give Charlotte some alone time with Mason and despite your assurances that everything is fine, it’s a lot to digest being in the home of an actual Chelsea player.
Most of the partygoers are inside, with only a few people out back having a smoke or going to the bar. You find yourself a quiet spot in the back of the garden and sit on a patio chair, crossing your legs and leaning back as you enjoy your drink.
You pull out your phone and can’t resist pulling up and old photo of you and your dad at a Chelsea match when you were six years old, both of you smiling in blue. Although it’s difficult to look at, it makes you smile, too - you remember how Chelsea beat Liverpool 3-0 that day and how happy your dad was on the drive home. You’ll always treasure those memories.
“Hey, mind if I sit?”
A male voice prompts you to glance up from your phone. It really shouldn’t surprise you to see yet another familiar face at this point, but the man in front of you nearly takes your breath away.
You recognize him right away - the shiny dark hair, the piercing eyes - he’s unmistakable. He’s even more handsome in person than on TV, if that’s possible. Ben fucking Chilwell.
“Yeah, go for it,” you say, gesturing to the other chair and trying very hard not to stare at him too much.
Ben, who is holding a beer and wearing a hoodie and jeans with a pair of Air Force Ones, looks fascinatingly normal to you for someone who you know for a fact scored a Premier League goal just this afternoon - your sixteen year-old brother Max mentioned it when you spoke earlier, still as big of a Chelsea fan as your dad was. Luckily, losing your dad didn’t poison the game for him the way it did you.
“I’m Y/N,” you blurt out, feeling the need to explain yourself and your presence here for some reason. “I came with my flatmate Charlotte, she met Mason at some club last week.”
“I’m Ben,” he says with a small smile. “Mase and I…uh, work together.”
“Yeah, I know,” you chuckle. When he raises an eyebrow, you continue - there’s really no point in sitting here pretending you don’t know who he is. “My brother’s a massive Chelsea fan.”
“Ah,” Ben smiles, taking a swig of his beer. “Charlotte didn’t seem to have any idea who we were last weekend.” He seems to realize he may have come off a bit arrogant there, as he quickly shakes his head. “Not that she should. I was just-“
“All good,” you interject. “And for the record, I love her to death, but Charlotte thought Man City was a gay bar a couple weeks ago. She’s not much of a football fan.”
Ben laughs so hard he nearly spits out some of his beer, and you can’t help but laugh along with him - his smile is completely contagious. It also seems to be the first genuine one you’ve seen since he sat down.
“Fair enough,” he laughs, setting down his beer and turning his chair to face you properly. “So, Y/N, what brings you to this secluded corner of the garden? Not enjoying yourself?”
“I could ask you the same thing, Chilwell,” you smirk, taking a sip of your cocktail.
Frankly, you’re impressed with how cool you’re being given the situation. It’s not even the fact that he’s famous. Sure, you were starstruck at first, but now you just can’t stop looking at him. At those hands clutching the cold beer bottle, that fluffy hair that you’re dying to reach out and touch, those damn eyes…
“Well, I’m a bit knackered, to be honest,” he admits. “But I wanted to come out and celebrate the win. Honestly, I’m waiting til it’s late enough that I can leave without the lads calling me an old man at training on Monday.”
You laugh and nod sympathetically.
“I get what you mean. I kinda got dragged out tonight as well,” you say. “I wasn’t really in the mood to talk to a bunch of strangers after a long work day, but Charlotte wanted me here and she’s my best friend, so-“
“I’m happy to leave you alone if you’d prefer it,” Ben says quickly. “Well, not happy, but I can. If that’s what you want.”
You shake your head, maybe a bit too quickly.
“No, please,” you smile. “I was in budget meetings all day, but you scored a goal against Arsenal. I think that earns you a spot to sit.”
Ben raises an eyebrow and grins. “Sounds like you’re a fan as well, no?”
“I’m…not not a fan.” He looks confused, so you decide to elaborate a bit. “My dad was a massive supporter. We were season tickets holders at Stamford Bridge until he died a couple years ago. My brother, he’s sixteen, still follows the team, and he keeps me updated, but I haven’t really…well, it hasn’t been quite the same for me since then.”
Though you still miss your dad dearly, time has healed the pain enough for you to be able to talk about him like this. Although, you did have to stare at your shoes the whole time to get through it, and when you look up, Ben’s eyes are wide and full of concern.
You immediately worry that you just majorly overshared with this complete stranger.
“Sorry, you didn’t need to know all that,” you murmur, fiddling with the material of your dress. “I don’t even know you-“
“No, please don’t apologize,” Ben says in a much softer tone than he was using before. “I’m so sorry for your loss, Y/N.”
“Thanks,” you say with a sad smile. He holds your gaze, and you can’t help but feel comforted by his warm expression. Then, all of a sudden, a laugh escapes your lips, surprising Ben. “Sorry, I just…I was thinking about what my dad would say if he knew I was talking to the man he once described as ‘the best left-back in the country’ at a party.”
“Wow, that’s high praise,” Ben smiles. “Your dad sounds pretty great.”
“He was, but I love that your reason for thinking that is him praising you as a footballer,” you laugh softly. “To be fair, he was a big fan of Mount and Havertz as well.”
“Oh, well, never mind then,” Ben jokes, making you laugh even harder.
Probably harder than you’ve laughed in years.
The conversation continues as you each finish your drinks, and after Ben gets you a couple more rounds. You talk about everything - your job in publishing, his life growing up, both of your favourite films and music.
You don’t even realize how late it is until you see a much drunker Charlotte come outside with Mason keeping her upright. Despite her protests that she’s fine, you and Mason both agree you’d better get her home and to bed. After giving her some water, Mason calls an Uber for both of you, and in all the commotion, you barely get the chance to say goodbye to Ben.
It’s not until you get home and take care of Charlotte that you realize you didn’t even get his number. You could get Charlotte to ask Mason for it tomorrow, you suppose, but you don’t want to come across as desperate.
You aren’t even looking for a relationship. You just happened to meet a cute, funny, smart guy at a party who probably has girls lining up around the block just to sleep with him. It’s not like this is going to turn into anything.
Right?
-
You wake the next morning in Charlotte’s bed - you passed out next to her after making sure she had water and a bin next to her in case she got sick - to a loud buzzing sound.
“Too early,” Charlotte grumbles, feeling the beginnings of a bad hangover. “Turn it off.”
You reach over to the bedside table to silence your phone, but you quickly glance at the Instagram notification before you turn it off.
benchilwell
Hey, I found your insta through Charlotte’s, sorry if that’s stalkery lol
benchilwell
I had a lot of fun last night. Any chance you want to hang out again sometime?
“Oh my god,” you mumble groggily. “Ben Chilwell just slid into my DMs.”
Charlotte, still half-asleep, rubs her eyes and turns to face you. “Who the fuck is Ben Chilwell?”
