Hi! So I have another box of bones- bunch of knees this time- but I was thinking and what if ghosts were seen as a sort of Gemini Home Entertainment style (lots of body horror again, if I connect an analog/digital horror the chance of body horror is as high as Johnny 13) wherein the FentonWorks YouTube channel is seen overall as another ARG, (bc of the ghost things) but when they get start having Dany do some videos for a younger audience it takes on a more horrifying turn. The videos seem more realistic, if he does a shot of the stars they seem closer, like their aching to touch and meet their king, their kin- should he take a photo of like, the mall after a ghost attack to place as an ‘after’ the craters seem to pulse, almost bleeding dust and concrete scabbing over. The whole channel now begins to show how amity itself is alive, and dead and neither and both- just as it’s inhabitants. Sam seems to be overgrown (lol) with black brambles for only seconds at a time, Tucker almost glows gold when he’s near sand and black dogs, Danny himself has stars in his hair and space in his skin, the nebulous colors of his eyes drawing you in and slowly consuming, unable to run from the black holes and dead lights that are dying and newborn stars staring back.

What I’m getting at is Educational channel-> THE TOWN IS ALIVE AND THE PEOPLE ARNT?? (DC is going fuvk wild bc this isn’t on maps??? Where are they? Constantine isn’t saying anything, Marvel’s gone, and Zanna gets nose bleeds and almost hemorrhaging when ever she sees the videos)

Hey, idk if anyone remebers this one shot I posted some time ago but! For people who don't want to click, it's about Dani in Gotham hanging out with Duke (Signal) and becoming his kinda side-kick (and she got her own original hero name). Mostly fluff and good vibes

I almost finished digitalizing it and as predicted, it's over 13 000 words hah. It'll be few days before I publish it, some editing needs to be done and my friends asked to read it before, but this got me thinking. And because I love polls, I'll use it

First option wouldn't mean breaking it in some weird places, I have it written as string of scenes so it won't be cut in the middle of the scene, don't worry. Just wonder what will be easier to read

More Dani Torrent Yoozens!

The studying is going very well this evening. Yoosung's mind is sharp and receptive. He's stretched comfortably on the couch, thin worn library paperback in hand, and devours page after page, muttering to himself unintelligibly as he goes through self-checks after chapters.

Yes, studying is going well this evening. When something pokes his leg, he just rubs the spot with his other foot, still focused on the text. Then, the couch caves, and Yoosung feels a familiar weight settle over him. Zen covers Yoosung's body with his own, slides his head under his hands holding the book, rests on Yoosung's shoulder. 'Hey.' The muffled phrase warms Yoosung's arm. 'Hey,' he responds, habitually. A smile creeps to his lips. Zen is heavy, warm. He smells fresh, of shower gel and clean skin: he's just washed after his evening workout. Yoosung takes a deep, slow breath. He loves Zen's weight over him like this, but he knows it's bound to get painful very soon. And he also knows that Zen is aware of that, and that he will not let it happen. 'Tired?' 'Mhm.' Zen nods, nuzzling into his arm. 'Whatcha reading?' 'Occupational safety and health. Retaking for the previous year.' 'They don't have a digital textbook?' 'Paper's easier on the eye.' Zen hums a little noise of understanding. His lower body slides off to the side of the couch, making it instantly easier to breathe. 'Mind if I stay here?' 'No, but I'm gonna be reading. Got the exam soon. Okay?' 'I'm not gonna bother. Just gonna listen to your heart for a bit.' Yoosung smiles. 'Mhm.' Zen shifts a little, making himself more comfortable on Yoosung's chest. 'I'm not choking you?' 'Nah.' 'Doesn't hurt?' 'Nah.' Zen nods into him, satisfied. Yoosung settles the book on his back. Perfectly on eye level. Nice. 'Comfy?' Zen asks. A smile sounds in his voice. 'Mhm.' 'Tell me if you start getting uncomfy like this.' Yoosung smiles a little to himself. It's quickly getting dark outside, but the light is on in the living room. He's stretched comfortably on the couch. Zen is huddled beside him and on him, legs hanging awkwardly far beyond the armrest. He's a little heavy on his ribcage, but he's made sure to not press the belly and to let Yoosung breathe. Long fingers softly caress his elbow before resting along his side. He might be a little sad, maybe that's why he's seeking comfort on Yoosung's chest. It's still difficult for him to ask for help, but he's getting there. Or might be he's just overcome with tenderness — if Yoosung wasn't busy, he would kiss him silly. Maybe he will, as soon as Yoosung puts down the book. But there doesn't seem to be anything urgent, judging by how easily Zen has settled, how even his breathing is, warming Yoosung's arm, how comfortable he looks, so relaxed. Yoosung turns his head just slightly and presses a gentle kiss into pale hair. Then gets back to reading.

Rope, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Torn Curtain, Topaz, and Frenzy will be released on 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray and Digital) on October 31 via Universal. They’ll be available both individually and in The Alfred Hitchcock Classics Collection: Volume 3 box set.

Rope is a 1948 thriller written by Arthur Laurents, based on the 1929 play by Patrick Hamilton. James Stewart, John Dall, and Farley Granger star.

The Man Who Knew Too Much is a 1956 thriller written by John Michael Hayes. James Stewart and Doris Day star.

International Yuri Manga 'Sirius' Released in English Digitally

On Wednesday, July 20, Tokyopop released Ana C. Sánchez's oneshot Yuri manga Sirius: Twin Stars in English digitally under its LOVE x LOVE imprint. A paperback edition will be published in November.

The publisher describes the manga:

Dani's bright future as an elite tennis player comes to a sudden stop when, during a match, she has a heart attack. Her newly discovered condition affects not only her health, but also her relationship with her mother, as well as her career. Wanting to get away from everything, she leaves behind the big city ⁠— and all her problems ⁠—  and goes with her cousin to a little coastal village. There she meets Blanca, a girl full of life and in love with astronomy. Blanca reminds Dani that life can be beautiful, and that she can shine again like stars do.

June had never really experiences a “postcard perfect” fall.

Growing up in Nevada, the temperatures didn’t really lend themselves to leaves slowly changing to vibrant reds, yellows and oranges before falling to the ground. And when visiting family out of state, it was always either summer and the trees were green and lush, or it was Thanksgiving or Christmas and the leaves had already fallen off. 

So, when Optimus suggested a picnic date on Griffin Rock, June had to fight to maintain composure. Once they had crossed the groundbridge, made their pleasantries to the Burns and the Rescue Bots, and headed out onto the forest, however, she was grinning as widely as Raf had when the Bots had taken the kids to an Arctic snow day. 

Once far enough from town to avoid detection, Optimus transformed and the pair walked among the trees, June taking delight in the snap and crunch of them under her feet, and even dancing through a shower of leaves when a gust of wind knocked them down. 

“You seem to be enjoying yourself,” Optimus said after she had done that, smiling his sweet smile at her. 

“I’ve always loved fall, or at least the idea of it.” She tilted her head back to look up at him, a hand at the back of her head to keep her hat on. “This is the first time I’ve gotten to properly experience it, and it’s better than I’d dreamed.”

“Then no matter what else happens today, I accomplished my goal.” He knelt down and reached for her, brushing his curled knuckles against her side. “All I want is to make you happy, June.”

June leaned against his digits, nuzzling against the top one. “You do, Optimus. Very much so.” She beckoned him to lean down, and pecked a kiss to his lip plates when he was close enough. “There is no place I’d rather be, nor anyone I’d rather be with, than right here with you.” 

“I feel the same.” Optimus returned the kiss the best he could, then stood up. “Come, it’s not much further.”

They had their picnic on a lovely outlook with a gorgeous view of the island and the ocean, only heading down when the sun started to sink to the horizon. As they made their way down the mountain, however, they heard some loud noises and, after sharing a look, went to investigate. 

What they found was the Rescue Bots and the Burns in a clearing, with the largest leaf pile June had ever seen. It went up almost to Optimus’s waist, and as they approached, Blades dropped more on top, while the bottom was shaped a bit by Bolder before they turned back to their root modes. 

“Optimus Prime, sir!” Heatwave said, giving a salute that Optimus quickly dismissed. “And Ms. June.” He nodded to where she was sitting on Optimus’s shoulder. 

“What are you all up to?” she asked, looking around. 

“Cody told us it’s human tradition to jump into piles of fallen leaves,” Chase explained. “So we gathered all the raked leaves on Griffin Rock to make our own.”

“Except the piles still in yards,” Blades added. “We made sure to leave those alone.”

“I think you mean ‘leaf’ those alone,” Graham said, laughing while Kade groaned at the pun. 

“We made a human sized pile too, so we can jump together,” Cody said, pointing to a much smaller, though still large, pile that was off to the side. “You wanna join us?”

“I’m not sure if we should…” Optimus glanced at June for her response. 

“I’ll do it if you will.” She leaned in to whisper into his audial. “And if you do it, I’ll scrub away all the leaf dirt once we’re home.”

Optimus managed to keep his engine rev quiet, but June could feel his plating warm under her. “Alright. I will join you.” He set June on the ground and joined the Rescue Bots at their pile, while June joined the Burns family, linking hands with Cody and Dani. 

“On the count of ‘jump’,” Charlie said. “One. Two. Three. Jump!”

The explosion of leaves could be seen from town, though luckily the peals of joyful laughter didn’t carry quite so far.

Hocus Pocus 2 chall soon be upon us... so I might as well share the characters from my own Hocus Pocus sequel story I came up with a few years ago~

I’ve posted the original line-work picture, with some bits about the plot, before... but now here is a color-edit I made in MS Paint, plus a few more details!

The story I thought of; taking place some time about 15-20 years after the original story, the original Sanderson house has fallen apart, but a special wing in the local museum has been dedicated to the folklore and history of the Sanderson Sisters, and many of the artifacts have been moved there... including the Book. On the 1st of October, a group of kids visiting the museum are looking at a digital display in front of the case the book resides in. Previously, the book’s pages were scanned, so you can look through the digital copies of the pages (which turn interactively with a touch-screen) without damaging the book. One kid excitedly takes a few pictures with their phone of something from the book, and the group leaves...

Later that night, the kids from the museum and a few more friends are gathered at the former location of the Sanderson house, planning on performing a “seance to summon witches”. One girl in particular is complaining that the others aren’t taking this seriously, critiquing some of their outfits for not being “goth enough” (when somebody asks why this kid is in charge, they argue “I’ve watched The Craft 167 times! I know what I’m talking about!”). Some of the kids leave, irritated... only 3 kids are left. The look at the picture on the phone, hold hands, and attempt to recite the spell. For a moment, nothing happens. Then, strange mist begins the area, the wind violently kicks-up, and wicked laughter is heard!

The results of this event are left unknown for now... a few weeks go by, and Halloween is approaching. Dani and her daughter Emily are decorating their home, and are joined by Emily’s cousins Billy and Jimmy. Their parents, Max and Allison, actually got married on Halloween (because it was in fact the holiday that brought them together), and are out of town for a honeymoon. Their kids are staying with Aunt Dani while they’re out of town. Billy is planning on taking his younger brother and cousin around for trick-or-treating later, while Dani will hand out candy at home. The family goes into town to get some more supplies, and to see the Halloween Carnival being set-up (a fair in the middle of town, with stages for performances, some rides, game booths, food stalls, and lots of fun Halloween activities).

While in town, Dani notices that there are still flyers up for 3 girls who went missing at the start of the month, and she reminds her kids to be careful when they go out. Also in town, 3 “new” teenage girls are going about their own day. One of them is having fun flirting and getting attention from a few boys, another is enjoying herself trying free treat samples and cuts in line at a playground for the swing-set (ignoring the complaints of the little kids), while the third visits a book shop... she asks about the museum in town, and is told it will be closed early today to avoid kids causing a ruckus in the “witch wing” (as it gets trashed every year). Dani passes by each girl periodically, and has an odd sense of deja vu, but can’t place why.

In the early evening, the kids get ready to leave. Dani drives them into town to drop them off at the carnival, telling them she’ll be back to pick them up here in 3 hours... and she finally notices the 3 strange teenage girls, who are all together, standing by a stage. She also recognizes them, and they know who she is too. One of the girls asks if she and her sisters can sing a song on the microphones, and and organizes laughs, saying sure. As they begin to sing, Dani tells her kids to cover their ears! These 3 girls are in fact the resurrected Sanderson Sisters, somehow restored to their youth! They have been living in Salem for weeks, pretending to be regular kids and actually enjoying themselves... but now they need to get serious. As they sing, they cast a spell on all who can hear them to simply “have a fun night, and act like everything is normal”. As Dani rushes to the car with her kids, they are joined by somebody else; Tia, a classmate of Jimmy, heard Dani yell to cover their ears, and did the same. She doesn’t know what is happening, but she can tell something is wrong. Dani and the rest of the kids fill her in (they’ve all known about the situation their parents lived through for years). Tia accepts the explanation of witches back from the dead, and wants to help stop them.

Dani and the kids drive to the museum, trying to find a door or window unlocked... when it seems like there’s no way in, Dani gets ready to smash a window with a rock, but Emily suddenly discovers one of the doors has opened for here... even though it previously refused to budge for anybody else. The group rushes in side, and then hears the front doors flying open. The Sanderson Sisters used up a lot of the magical energy that made them appear young to cast the spell on the town, and as they walk through the halls of the museum, the reflection of their faces begin to age in the glass. They find a display case with their dresses and robes, and take them into a restroom to change into their signature looks. Before they are noticed, Dani sneaks the kids over to get the Book before Winnie finds it. The group escapes, and outside in the car they can hear the frustrated scream of Winnie when she sees her book is gone.

Dani hopes to drive the kids back to her house and set up some defenses, but the Sanderson Sisters chase after them on brooms taken from the museum. Dani is forced to turn down a dirt road as Winnie knocks down power poles on the street. The car gets stuck in a ditch, and as the group tries to get out of the car, Billy finds that his seatbelt is stuck. As Jimmy digs for a pocket knife to cut the fabric, Emily tries to pull the belt clip, and it finally clicks open. The group runs from the car and into the woods, heading back to Dani’s house from by taking a short-cut. In the woods, the Sanderson Sisters land to follow after them (unable to see through the thick tree cover). As they all move forward, out of the woods and onto Dani’s street, the sisters begin looking for them in the crowd of trick-or-treaters. While Winnie tries to keep her sisters focused, Sarah and Mary wind up getting distracted seeing people they’ve gotten to know while they were living “normal” lives (Sarah comforts a girl who just got dumped, saying whatever boy hurt her feelings isn’t worth it. Mary sees some kids from the playground getting their candy stolen by bigger kids, so she frightens them to steal it back. the little kids each give her a candy as thanks).

Finally back at her house, Dani tries to make it safe against the Sanderson Sisters. Outside, Mary has finally located the correct house, and Winnie calls out for the book. It wakes up, and begins floating out an open window, when Emily yells “Stop!”... the book actually stops. The Sanderson Sisters can see what happened. Both Winnie and Dani realize that Emily has her own magic, and can potentially be a witch. Rather than fight at the house, where they have a disadvantage, Winnie tells Dani and the kids that she’ll wait for them in town. She might need her spell book to extend the life of herself and her sisters beyond Halloween night, but she’ll be able to destroy the town and hurt innocent people without it. Dani tells the kids she’s going to leave and try to stop them, but orders the kids to stay put. They need to guard the book.

An hour passes, and then another, and another... with no word from Dani, the kids worry about her. They stock up on things that will help them deal with potential evil magic, and leave the house to go find out if Dani is alright. Most of the town has gathered at the Halloween carnival, with the Sanderson Sisters enchanting the area to create a more dangerous version of rides and booths. The kids work their way through each obstacle, dealing with decorations that have been brought to life and various traps set by the Sanderson Sisters. At last, Emily finds her mother being held captive on the ferris wheel. Emily distracts Winnie by taunting her with the book while the other kids find the controls for the wheel and free Dani. In a rage, Winnie lets loose a violent surge of magic that causes many things to break and catch fire. Because of the earlier spell, the people in town don’t notice the destruction and continue to act like everything is fine... Sarah and Mary are having second thoughts about killing all the children, or even simply letting them die by accident. Mary hands Sarah a broom, and Sarah rises into the air, singing her song. She calls all the children away from the carnival and out of danger.

Winnie is even MORE angry, feeling betrayed by her sisters... she knows one spell that won’t require the book, which will also give her what she wants; the death of Dani, and her little brat. Speaking in rhyme, Winnie creates a curse; a creature from her shadow gives chase after Dani and the kids. Sarah and Mary seem very worried, asking Winnie why she would “do that again”... running into the cemetery, the witches are unable to follow, by the thing made of shadows can. It is specifically after Dani and Emily. On their brooms in the air, Winnie declares that the curse is one their mother uses, centuries ago... when the Sanderson Sisters were truly young, the town they lived in demanded that the mother and her daughters work spells for them to give them what they wanted. When it became impossible to cast certain spells, the townsfolk were going to kill the girls one by one until their mother cooperated. Their mother used a powerful curse, causing her shadow to become a dangerous creature that would kill anybody who threatened her children. The shadow will only exist until the sun rises, which is also how long the Sanderson Sisters have left if they can’t steal anymore lives.

Mary and Sarah try to convince Winnie that it is finally time to stop; as much as she bullies them, they know that just like their mother, she is protective of her sisters, and they’ve all wanted the chance to continue living their lives. However, they can’t just keep on doing this over and over again. Winnie, who has become even more frail from using up the last of her magic, mocks them for going soft... and explains that even if she wanted to, she can’t stop the curse. Her own magic is too weak, and it won’t obey anybody else. Her sisters decide that, if nothing else, they can at least hold the curse off. The three land in the cemetery, between the shadow and Emily, who has become separated from the others. Even as they turn to stone, they clasp hands, and sing. Their voices makes a barrier that pushes back the shadow... Emily isn’t sure WHY they’ve changed their minds, but as she watches them defend her, the book suddenly opens and flips it’s pages, revealing a spell to Emily. She stands directly behind the Sanderson Sisters, reciting the spell, her voice combining with theirs. She discovers her own magic, and as the sun rises, three things happen; the shadow burns away in the light, the book becomes blank, and the Sanderson Sisters are not turned to dust. Instead, they remain statues.

Dani finally finds her child, and the rest of the kids all gather around Emily for a group hug. Before the people in town recover from the spell, Emily uses her magic to repair most of the damage done at the carnival... but she forgets to fix the museum. Two security guards are walking through town, demanding to who stole a book on display, and Dani stands up to them when they yell at her kids (these two are in fact grown-up “Ice” and Jay. they would totally just get jobs that allowed them to become bigger bullies and get away with it). Emily then uses her magic to return the spell book as if it had never left (and even though it is blank inside, the virtual pages still exist, so nobody will ever know). Elsewhere, in a old folks retirement home, 3 teenage girls stumble out the front doors; these are the girls from the beginning. The Sanderson Sisters did not kill them, but simply stole most of their youth, turning the teenagers into old ladies, who have been stuck at the retirement home for weeks. As the bossy girl tries to blame her friends for what happened (because they clearly didn’t listen to her), the other two finally just ignore her.

At Dani’s house, Tia calls her parents to let them know she’s alright, and the group has breakfast together. Dani listens as Emily tells her about making her OWN spell book using a journal with blank pages; it will be filled with good magic. Dani lets Emily know that she trusts her. Emily’s cousins and Tia are eager to help with the new spell book as well. As Dani watches the kids sit outside, talking about all these magical possibilities, she notices how the sunlight shines through the leaves... Dani can just barely see another shape there, faint and transparent (the guardian angel of Binx, who will also keep Dani’s daughter safe. After all, Dani named her after Binx’s little sister)

(I hope it was clear, this wasn’t really supposed to be a “redemption” story for the Sanderson Sisters, but more like... Sarah and Mary discovering they care a little bit about other people, and Winnie finally just giving up on trying to live forever by killing other people. they certainly aren’t “good guys” by the end of the story, but they decide to stop being evil. they had their fun, even came back from the dead a couple of times, so they’re satisfied with resting at last. if Sarah and Mary needed to learn to care about other people, then Winnie’s “character growth” came from finally listening to her sisters. also, Emily gets to be a GOOD WITCH! heck yeah, this kid gets magical powers! kind of a Matilda ending~)

Some info about the kids-

Emily is basically a shonen protagonist, but not. She has all that good stuff like power of friendship, determination, and a little bit of a rebel. Her older cousins have always been close with her since she was born, treating her more like a baby sister. They both decided a long time ago to always play the games she chose and do what she wanted to do, and over the years this made her the leader (she doesn’t let it go to her head).

Jimmy is a bit of a dare-devil, and this has resulted in him breaking a few bones over the years (and he even got in a pretty bad accident at one point). Rather than make him timid, this made him think more about how to live life with both adventure AND safety; he’s always got a mini first-aid kit for anybody who needs it. Jimmy will look before he leaps, but he’s still gonna leap.

Billy is a bit more soft-spoken than his brother and cousin. Most people are automatically friends with him because of how calm and comforting he is. In school he drives a few teachers crazy with his chill attitude (he never lets a couple of Fs bother him), and any kid who wants to pick on him winds up annoyed because he doesn’t have any buttons to push. He’s also pretty musically gifted and usually sings random songs throughout the day.

Tia is a very pretty and smart girl, and lots of kids at school think she’s just plain cool; Tia doesn’t have a specific social group, she likes to hang out with pretty much everybody. She also has a lot of interests from art, to video games, to cooking, to motorcycles (she’s even got her own dirtbike and quad). She’s got an ironic sense of humor (sarcastic without being mean), and is very good at making people laugh

I got Caleb’s M9 Origins comic today and hhh.. Thank you Liam O’Brien (and everyone else involved)

Also after he steals a dog for which she gets blamed and sends her to the dress shop where she gets Pretty-Womaned. Temperance goes through a lot, but she also makes some really nice women friends and learns to stick up for herself and discovers who threw the horseshoe through the window before she saves Owen’s life. It’s a rollicking adventure that also includes, at my son-in-law’s express request, a brawl in a saloon. I can’t wait for you to belly-up to the bar and get into this one.
