“Imagine what it does to our culture’s perception of Christ’s gospel when Christians are among the loudest of those disapproving of people being released from their debts. Lord, have mercy.” - Rev. Benjamin Cremer. Have yourself a peaceful, contemplative Good Friday!

The Debt
Bob robs Peter to finally pay Paul,
for the five hundred dollars Paul loaned him last fall.
Bob felt ashamed but he needed the dough,
and knew that good Peter would not even know.
Paul gets the cash and is off in a sprint,
to pay back old Morris for the money he lent.
Old Morris is happy with money in hand,
and finds young Maurice to pay him as planned.
Young Maurice is happy with five hundred bones
and goes to his uncle to pay off his loans.
Maurice’s uncle is proud of the boy,
and heads off to locate his good friend Miss Joy.
Miss Joy is a helper who’s helped many others,
helped Maurice’s uncle and all of his brothers,
when all of them found themselves in a tight pinch
and Miss Joy was ready to help in a cinch.
Miss Joy takes a ferry to go and see Mary,
with all of the thanks that a person can carry.
She’ll pay Mary back for all that she borrowed
when Miss Joy was lonely and drowning in sorrow.
Mary herself had some people to pay,
and one of these people was her old Aunt Kay.
Aunt Kay gave her money to pay for her rent
because Mary found that her money was spent.
Since Aunt Kay was also a one in the red,
she went down the docks and she found Captain Ted.
The captain had given her five hundred dollars
so Aunt Kay could answer her IRS callers.
The captain went down all the streets of his town,
looking to see if old Bob was around.
The captain had owed Bob a small sum of money
that Bob floated Ted on the Sound.
Bob took up the money and squared up with Peter,
who never once knew it had left his two-seater.
Bob re-placed the cash and was off in a dash—
his fleet feet had never been fleeter.
So what is the value of money?
What’s the appropriate call?
For these ten quartets have balanced ten debts,
and no one paid anything at all.

ASTROLOGY OBSERVATION PART 8
Tumblr media
For a Cancer ascendant individual, if Jupiter is in the 2nd house, it may not provide good finances even though it is placed in a friendly sign (Leo). Instead, it could create debts, as its 5th aspect falls on the 6th house, which is the house of debts and diseases.
LET ASTROLOGY CHOOSE YOU!

I was colder inside than out.
“That's not nothing, to be able to hold your head up."
I wanted to ease the moment past. The temptation was familiar: to go along, to make myself small enough to slip past a looming danger.
But it was all the same choice, every time. The choice between the one death and all the little ones.
I couldnt buy my life in the last moment, with hands around my throat. I could only buy it by giving in sooner, giving in all the time, like Scheherazade, humbling asking my murderous husband to go on sparing me night after night.
“My father could avenge my murder, but he couldn’t keep me from my husband.”

'I owe you . . . my tab. A real man settles his debts,' Patch said. 'Consider it settled. I'd have paid it a hundred times over, just for the honor of knowing you.'

What is your opinion of everyone’s bestest guy, Ryunosuke Naruhodo?
Ahhhh, Ryu-Ryu, he who's actually unstoppable if you give him a little while to figure things out and a reason to do them. If someone told me he's secretly invulnerable to all physical harm and able to survive cursed places that kill everyone else who walks there? I'd believe 'em.
Mind you, something's off about him. Something I haven't seen in a long, long time, and I may be wrong, but it's worth looking into. It's a good thing I like this legal hero, and he won't go the way of all other heroes.

Debts
She squints her eyes and tilts her head. He fidgets under her scrutiny, scratching the back of his neck to have something to do with his hand, “or not. I can figure it out later.”
Her eyes go wide and mouth forms an oh, before she shakes her head, “I’m sorry, I was trying to remember if I fed the cat today,” she lies unconvincingly. “Actually, let me introduce you,” she turns so he can’t see her face.
He follows her towards a group of guests that have begun dispersing until only Finnick remains. He gives Katniss a sly grin, “Didn’t realize you were bringing a date Everdeen.”
“Not a date,” she scowls, Finnick’s grin only widens. “This is Peeta, he works with Annie and asked me if I could introduce him to our host,” She emphasizes the last words.
He feels like Katniss has been speaking in riddles all night, and the other shoe is about to drop. “Nice to meet you,” he shakes the man’s hand. “I’m a fan,” he adds for lack of anything better to say; even to his own ears it sounds lame.
Peeta watches as something in Finnick’s veneer cracks, “wait, you’re the bread guy right? The one who drops breakfast at Annie’s desk?”
Peeta nods dumbly.
Finnick “Then I’m the real fan. Annie had such a terrible bout of morning sickness this time around; sicker than she’d been the entire pregnancy with Sebastian. It let up some last month, but it was so traumatizing that she’s become tentative about food. Your baked goods have been a godsend, she raves about them and at least I know she’s eaten something. I owe you; if you ever need a weather prediction in a pinch feel free to give me a call. Katniss will give you my number.”
“I’m off duty”
“Okay well you get his number today and you can text him mine tomorrow when you are.” He throws her a wink that makes even Peeta blush.
If he needs further confirmation of who Finnick is it arrives in the form of Annie, “the water’s ready when you are, but you should probably start soon if we want to keep dinner on track.” She turns and spots Peeta, “Oh good, you’ve met Finnick and Katniss, I hope they haven’t scared you off,” she points between the pair with a stern look before bustling off to the kitchen with Finnick in tow.
He waits until they're out of earshot before turning towards Katniss, laughter in her eyes and wineglass obscuring her smile. “Thanks for the introduction,” he deadpans.
She laughs, “I’m sorry, it was too good to pass up. Really you got off easy. He usually loves this kind of thing, but he was too grateful to be any fun.”
“I guess that means I owe you. Do you think Finnick’s predictions are transferable?”
“Nah, that’s alright, I’ve got enough of those,” Katniss shrugs, “but I’m sure we can figure something else out.”
I had a couple other ideas for what I wanted to do with this premise (including a modification of the baby shower game ‘don’t say baby’ -> ‘don’t say Christmas’ as well as Christmas-less caroling), but alas! I’ve run out of time! Maybe I’ll try and pick it up again next year?

Me and My Loans
Oh, those loans, they seemed so kind,
Promising treasures I’d surely find!
But now the bills, like a sneaky ghost,
Haunt my wallet, roast my toast.
Budget gymnastics, I twist and bend,
Praying for payday to make amends.
Still, I laugh, though I’m counting beans—
Life’s a circus; we’re all clowns behind the scenes!

A Game of Thrones, Eddard IV
Ned was aghast. “Aerys Targaryen left a treasury flowing with gold. How could you let this happen?”
Littlefinger gave a shrug. “The master of coin finds the money. The king and the Hand spend it.”
“I will not believe that Jon Arryn allowed Robert to beggar the realm,” Ned said hotly.
Grand Maester Pycelle shook his great bald head, his chains clinking softly. “Lord Arryn was a prudent man, but I fear that His Grace does not always listen to wise counsel.”
“My royal brother loves tournaments and feasts,” Renly Baratheon said, “and he loathes what he calls ‘counting coppers.’”
