Y/N was aching in places she didn’t know muscles even existed. For every strained muscle, though, a patch of the farm looked better, became more functional.

An even exchange in her book.

Besides, at what other job could she stretch out in the grass and sunbathe in the middle of a shift?

Something, or rather, someone, shifted into her orbit, eclipsing the sun.

“Have you even been into town yet, Y/N?” Jess was looking down at her, a tote bag slung over her shoulder.

“Haven’t had a reason to,” Y/N cracked an eye open to look up at her little sister.

“We’ve been here over a month.”

Y/N hummed and threw her arm over her eyes, “Been pretty busy.”

“Don’t look busy right now.”

The heat from the sun had been replaced by the heat of Jess’ glare.

Y/N threw her arm back down into the grass, leveling her sister with a glare of her own. “Can I expect a please at any point here?”

“Quit being an antisocial asshole and come to the grocery store with me—please.”

“Fine,” Y/N stood and straightened her baggy overalls, “since you asked so nicely.”

“Hell yeah,” Jess shook Y/N’s shoulders from behind as they walked toward the sun bleached gate at the edge of the farm, “the gruesome twosome—back in action!”

“Oh my god, do not call us that,” Y/N couldn’t help but laugh.

“You remember Abby? She’s still living with her parents in town. Been asking about you.”

“I’m surprised she even remembers me.” Y/N kicked an acorn down the dusty trail into town.

“Everyone remembers you, Y/N.” Jess smiled, side-eyeing her sister, “If you hadn’t visited Robin and Marnie I don’t think anyone would believe that you’re here, though.”

Y/N scoffed. “Why’s it such a hard thing to believe?”

“Social media is a very powerful thing,” Jess hummed, “I think a lot of them have a hard time picturing you as anything other than a city girl.”

Y/N gazed around the town square, choosing to change the subject, “This place felt a lot bigger when I was younger.”

“Yeah,” Jess pushed open the door to Pierre’s, the soft tinkle of a bell and a blast of AC greeting them, “hasn’t really changed much other than that, though.”

“Hasn’t changed at all.”

“Holy shit, you’re alive.”

Y/N turned to the new voice, her eyes landing on the grinning mop of purple hair behind the till.

“Hmm, jury’s still out on that one,” Y/N moved to lean against the counter with a grin.

“What the hell are you doing here? Never pegged you as a country girl,” Abby laughed.

“It was a Metamorphosis situation. Woke up in overalls and a straw hat instead of as a bug, though.”

Abby laughed a little too loudly, and Y/N had flashbacks of tween Abby following her around like a lost puppy. Y/N hoped this wouldn’t become a thing again, Abby was nice and all, but she wasn’t really Y/N’s type.

Jess dropped an armful of groceries on the counter, glaring half-heartedly at Y/N, muttering,”thanks for the help, asshole.”

Abby started punching keys on the till, glancing at Y/N occasionally, “sorry about your grandpa, by the way. He was a cool guy.”

“Yeah, he was,” Y/N hummed, ready to be out of this conversation, “shit happens, though.”

Abby cleared her throat as Jess handed over her debit card, “Anyway, we’re all going to be at the saloon tomorrow night. You guys should come by—Devin too.”

Jess cut in before Y/N could come up with a lame excuse, “Great! We’ll be there.”

Abby was either unaware of the glares being passed between the sisters, or she simply chose to ignore them, “Awesome! It’s not super exciting, but at least it’s something to do. If we’re lucky, Sam will get drunk enough to pretend he’s in an episode of Jackass.”

“Better than watching grass grow at the farm, right Y/N?”

“Yeah..yeah,” Y/N nodded at Abby, grabbing a bag and turning for the door, “see you then.”

The door had barely closed behind them before Jess started in on Y/N, “Before you even say anything, it’s for your own good. You need friends that you’re not related to.”

“I wasn’t even going to say anything—” Y/N started with a scoff, cutting herself off when she was caught in the gaze of two blue eyes she could never forget.

“Haley?” “Y/N?” They spoke over each other.

Y/N and Haley observed each other, not saying anything. Jess’ eyes went between the two women like she was watching a tennis match.

“I heard you were in town,” Haley broke the silence.

“Yup,” Y/N rocked on her heels, “fixing up Gramps’ old place.”

“Oh, that’s good.”

“Yep,” Y/N gave her a tight lipped smile.

“Well, I should get going. Don’t want to keep Alex waiting.”

“Yeah, that’d be a shame.”

“It was good seeing you, Y/N.”

Y/N just nodded and continued toward the dirt path, back to her sanctuary.

Jess was quick to catch up with her. “That was so weird.”

“Really? I didn’t notice.”

“Weren’t you friends with her? Did something happen?”

Y/N made a noncommittal sound in reply and let Jess change the subject. She nodded along and made sounds of agreement when it seemed necessary, but her mind was in the past.

If she closed her eyes, she could almost feel the soft sand under the soles of her feet, hear Haley’s laugh ringing in her ears, taste the ghost of melon chapstick on her lips.

Icarus: The wealthiest district in the city. Reality overlays are used to hide the lower-class zones—residents of Icarus can't see the city’s decay unless they disable the filters. Clean skies, artificial sun, and shiny chrome everywhere. The illusion is expensive—and tightly controlled. The best cyberdocs work in this zone.

Devine: The “in-between” district of the city. A dense, grimy sector where most mercs, scavengers, and tech dealers live. Not exactly lawless, but too chaotic for corporate comfort. Street markets and second-hand cyberware vendors are common in this zone.

Eden: The lowest and most dangerous district. Black-market weapons and surgeries—which are performed with cyberware stolen from clinics and corpses, most of the time infected with viruses—outlaw AIs, and ruined buildings.

Cog: A derogatory term for people who are augmented. Implies they're no longer human, just replaceable parts in a machine.

Daedalus Paramedics: Premium medical care. They charge a subscription in exchange for rescue and treatment, no questions asked. Fast and efficient. Pretty much like the Trauma Team from Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberdocs: Medics who install cyberware implants. Only the ones who work in Icarus are officially licensed, but all of them know what they're doing—most of the time, at least. Basically the same as Ripperdocs.

Asclepius: A multinational corporation that specializes in pharmaceuticals, bioengineering, and nanotechnology. Officially, they create miracles for the less fortunate. Unofficially, they create dependencies on cyber implants.

Reality overlays (ROs): Augmented reality filters used to “beautify” grim reality. Rust turns into gold, ruins become skyscrapers, and poverty vanishes with just a flicker of code.

Double-X: Stimulants that enhance senses, boost cognitive abilities, and push the body past its limits. The legal way to acquire them is to buy them in Icarus from an official retailer. They're sold a lot cheaper—and dirtier—on the black market. Comes in blue tabs, marked with two white Xs on them.

Eclipse: A small sub-district between Devine and Eden. Home to cheap junk dealers, dingy underground bars and unregulated cyberdocs who can patch you up for free, but risk a data infection, or worse.

Sahara: Sub-district in the outskirts of Eden, where illegal drift racing, gambling, and drug dealing is more common than one might imagine. The police don't bother stopping them anymore.

Clean-Skin: Slang for someone with no cyberware.

Infinite Purity: Radical anti-augmentation group. Most of the group's members are edgy kids and orphans turned rebels who hate augmented people. They are responsible for multiple acts of vandalism and assault. Similar to Purity First from Deus Ex.

Soul Burn: A common side effect of stimulants. Manifests as memory fragments bleeding into real-time vision.

EMP ammo: Bullets that can cause serious physical damage, but are mainly designed to disrupt electronic devices and systems, in this case, cyberware.

Loop: A luxury narcotic, similar to morphine. Fabricated in Sahara.

Red Sun: Sub-district in Devine. One of the safest neighborhoods.

Romance Options - Lunarflatts

⏾ Lex Morgan - She/Her - 27

Lex is a wolf of few words, but every one of them carries weight. D'Nato has spent his whole life on the outside looking in. Born during the New Moon, he doesn’t have a wolf form like the rest of the pack. Instead, he’s human through and through—something that’s left him with a permanent chip on his shoulder. As the local mechanic, D’Nato keeps the ranger vehicles running and gathers intel from tourists and travelers passing through Lunarflatts, quietly supporting the pack in his own way. But don’t expect him to be friendly about it. His gruff, grumpy attitude is his armor, and he wields it like a weapon.

Most of the pack steers clear of him, and he prefers it that way. D'Nato’s resentment toward his wolf-less existence runs deep, especially since his father abandoned the pack without him years ago. It’s a wound he carries alone, and any hint of pity—or worse, condescension—from the pack will set him off. He’s quick to lash out if he thinks someone is looking down on him for being a New Moon, and most people would rather avoid his temper than risk getting close.

The only two people D'Nato really lets in are his uncle, Dante, and his cousin Clare. Dante loves him fiercely, always treating him as a full member of the family, despite his lack of a wolf. And Clare? Well, she refuses to leave him alone, no matter how much he growls about it. They are most at peace in their wolf form, surrounded by nature and the quiet whispers of the spirits, far from the noise and confusion of everyday pack life. Her own needs—physical, emotional, and mental—are pushed to the side as she buries her anxiety and exhaustion under a mask of calm.

Though her nurturing nature endears her to the pack, Naomi’s greatest fear is what comes next. The thought of becoming a mother terrifies her, not only because of the trauma she’s endured, but because she fears she won’t be strong enough to protect her child. The nagging dread of being cast out, of being alone again, never quite leaves her.

Lake Ransley is the local doctor in Lunarflatts, always calm, always compassionate. With an easy smile and a gentle touch, they have become the go-to healer for the pack, stepping in when the werewolves’ impressive natural healing abilities need a little extra help. Broken bones that risk healing wrong, infections that linger, and illnesses that don’t fade as quickly as they should—Lake handles it all with precision, care, and most importantly discretion.

Though Lake's kindness and skill are undeniable, the pack remains wary of them. There’s something about Lake that doesn’t quite fit in with the pack’s world, and only a select few know why. Dante, Lex, and Citran are the only ones privy to the full truth, and they’ve kept it a closely guarded secret. Lake, however, has never given the pack a reason to doubt their loyalty.

Despite the unspoken tension, Lake is always ready to help, whether it’s stitching up a wound or offering quiet counsel to anyone in need, human or wolf. Their gentle nature and genuine desire to heal make them an invaluable asset to the pack, even if not everyone fully trusts them. Lake knows that every time they offer aid, they’re walking a delicate line between acceptance and suspicion, but they’ve long since made peace with that reality.

For now, Lake remains an odd but vital presence in the pack’s world, offering a steady hand in times of need while always keeping a respectful distance. Whether they will ever fully earn the trust of the pack remains to be seen, but Lake is content to continue their work, helping wherever they can and waiting for the day the pack might finally see them as something other than an outsider.

I saw the Les Miserables US tour on Tuesday and am still IN MY FEELINGS about it, so here’s a random assortment of somewhat coherent thoughts/rambles/write up/review.

(Note: I saw the entire principle cast except Randy Jeter (who was out) and two ensemble swings. Andrew Marks Maughan was pulling double duty as both the Bishop and Combferre.)

• I didn’t know anything about Nick Cartell going in, but holy fuck, that VOICE. Tone is immaculate. Lungs of fucking steel.

• “Another story must beGINNNNNN” are you kidding me Nick. Who gave you the right to be this talented. Why is this man not more famous?!

• Preston Truman Boyd as Javert - voice is great, nice deep baritone. I wanted a smidge more from him acting wise though (this improved over the course of his performance).

• Nick and Preston sound phenomenal together, their voices work SO WELL.

• Haley Dortch has the voice of an angel and I loved her portrayal of Fantine.

• I appreciated that when Fantine was attacked/arrested all of the lovely ladies kept trying to stop it/help her. A nice staging touch.

• The whole transition into the courtroom was fantastic. Nick with that ending note of “Who Am I?” 🤯 I feel like I heard a few nods to Colm’s Valjean throughout Nick’s performance, this being one, which I appreciated on a cellular level.

• Confrontation sounded sooo good. It is a little goofy looking because Nick is so much shorter/smaller than Preston, which made the whole Valjean-as-stronger-man thing a bit silly. The blocking here didn’t do much for me. But what can you do. However! The “you’ll wear a different CHAInnn!” *cue Present with the chain hitting the stage floor* was fierce.

• It took a minute but Matt Crowle really won me over as Thénardier. Acting choices were 💯 without going over the top.

• There was a lot going on during “Master of the House” and it was a lot of fun, but also hard to catch everything.

• Gavroche was delightful. As usual.

• I’m not sure why Enjolras’ blonde wig was so bad, but it was really distracting. Devin Archer does a very decent Enjolras, but man that wig was not doing him any favors.

• Marius’ entrance was forgettable. I think this was more a staging issue than a reflection on Jake David Smith maybe? All the students kind of looked the same at this time. I had a hard time telling Les Amis apart all night, honestly. Except for Enjolras and Grantaire, obviously, which brings me to….

• Kyle Adams. You freaking fan-servicing national treasure. Cards on the table, seeing reviews of Kyle’s Grantaire was the single biggest reason I decided to catch this tour, and I was really, REALLY hoping to see him in the role. I did not think anyone would ever come close to eclipsing Hadley as my R of all time, but Kyle is right up there in his orbit. Omg that scene stealing little shit. He really put his all into “the drunk one”. Blowing the kiss to E at the end of Red and Black. Continually slapping people with his coat jacket. The dick-bottle in Enjolras’ face. Constantly goofing around with Gavroche. It was all gold. I really appreciate an actor who’s done their homework, and Kyle is very obviously well versed in both the source material and the rabid E/R fan fiction. His performance is a love letter to the fans - to those of us who have cried over the brick, who have watched every musical version we’ve been able to get our hands on over and over again - and I love that for all of us.

• Anyway, back to “Red and Black”. Devin is great, really brings the sassy Enjolras energy. Marius is….kind of forgettable again. Sorry, Jake. Enjolras when he grabs that flag…Devin is really serving.

• “Do You Hear the People Sing” was wonderfully rousing, as always. One of my favorites forever. The transition to the streets was very pleasing. Again, Devin with that damn flag. I might end up shipping Enj with the flag as much as E and R, he’s that passionate with it 🤣

• Delaney Guyer was a perfectly pleasant Cosette. No criticisms, I just haven’t really ever cared about Cosette much as a character. Her songs do very little for me. But Delaney was lovely.

• Mya Rena Hunter as Eponine was somewhat “meh” for me. Her vocals are killer and “On My Own” got one of the biggest ovations of the night, but I didn’t love her acting choices. Or maybe lack there of, it didn’t seem like there were any. I dunno.

• The staging/choreo for “One Day More” was really entertaining. Much better than the underwhelming marching I saw in the 2012 production. Devin serving sassy, dramatic Enjolras with flair and a rifle is a whole ass mood.

• I fucking love the barricade set. Seeing Les Amis climb all over that thing is such a moment. Enjolras literally leaping off the set multiple times. Dude gets AIR.

• Gavroche flipping off Javert was an audience favorite.

• “A Little Falls of Rain” was underwhelming. The staging was a bit awkward and there was no scene chemistry between Jake and Mya. I really wanted to feel something. I didn’t. Just eh.

• “Drink With Me”, on the other hand, was so wonderfully emotional. Kyle’s stying of R’s verse is an angrier, grittier interpretation and I’m sooo here for it. Enjolras goes to console him and R pushes him away. The pain feels so real.

• “Bring Him Home”….Nick. Fucking. Cartell. I have no words. He cast an absolute SPELL over the theater. His breath control is super human. His last “home” note went on FOREVER. Absolutely phenomenal. Hands down best version I’ve ever heard live. Biggest ovation of the night.

• Gavroche’s death 😭 So sad, so well done. It was very striking how he was shot just as Enjolras’ hand reached up for him as he returned. The timing, the lights, sound everything was excellent. Then he crumpled onto E’s shoulder. E handed his lifeless body to R, who was just devastated. I love the relationship they created between Gavroche and R this production. The entire build up of their interactions made this moment so poignant and believable.

• Christopher Robin Sapp really took his 5 seconds of National Guard Officer/Loud Hailer time and absolutely slayed it. I want to see more of this guy in the future.

• The choreo of the final battle was very satisfying. I totally missed Marius getting injured and just mistook him for another student because again….Marius was just not catching any of my attention this tour, lol. The frantic moment between E and R in this scene was so raw and well done by both actors. R reaching for E’s face, clasping hands so very briefly. Ugh.

• Then E with the flag again. This scene is so striking and Devin gives it EVERYTHING. Then R climbing up after E once he gets shot and falls off of the barricade. The way it takes a few moments for R to die after being shot and Kyle freaking Adams makes sure the audience knows it…

• I was lucky enough to see a production with the revolving stage back in the day and I’m really glad I did, because the reveal of Enjolras’ body hanging upside down off the other side of the barricade with the flag is one of those theater moments that will haunt me forever. Enjolras’ lifeless body in the cart just doesn’t have quite that same punch, but it’s timed very nicely with the music swell, and the way his body shifts/almost falls out of the cart when it’s carried away again is quite effective.

• Ok so the sewers. That was cool. I felt like this production used just enough of the screen to really assist the set design without relying on it too much. It worked really well for the orchestration and gave depth to Valjean just dragging Marius across the stage 3 times.

• Thénardier dragging in that corpse by his ankles for “Dog Eats Dog” lol. Matt really showed up for this scene. I think he did a good job of dipping into the “comedic” aspects of Thénardier as well as balancing the really rotten parts - this was a really great rotten part. I thoroughly enjoyed his turn as the infamous innkeeper.

• Javert is such a little drama queen.

• “Stars” was A++++. One of my forever favorites anyway, but Preston took this song to church. Also, I do NOT remember this staging, if it’s what I saw in 2012 (I don’t think so?!) and holy shit. I was not expecting what they did, which got quite a few gasps from the audience. The falling/floating/reaching while holding that last “ONNNNNNN” was a fucking MOMENT. Props to this production set up. Major props to Preston. Just wow.

• The transition from “Turning” to “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables” was beautiful, and I love love love the candle choreography. When Les Amis blow their candles out….ugh 😭 This number was a bit of redemption for Jake David Smith, who until now had kept slipping into the background. I found his Marius to be a bit uninspired and unrecognizable for the most part. He did not bring much of a presence to the role until this moment. But his vocals were great here, and the anguish felt genuine.

• I don’t have much too say about “Beggars at the Feast” because I was too busy watching no one but Kyle Adams as Major Domo for the entire scene 🤷🏻‍♀️

• But omg the change of Thénardier’s lyrics from “this one’s a queer / but what can you do?” to “this one’s a queer / I might try it too” and then he dips that random wedding guest dude was a giant yes from me.

• Finale left a touch to be desired blocking/staging wise. I remember feeling that way with the 2012 production as well. Les Mis is just such a powerful musical, I feel like it deserves a bigger ending than basically everyone just standing in two lines behind Cosette and Marius. The cast’s vocals made up for the lack of production though. Truly so, so good.

• In conclusion: Nick Cartell has an otherworldly voice and Kyle Adams is the Grantaire we all deserve. I am so, SO glad I got to experience this cast.

Archetypes in ATLA

The sun and the moon

Since pre-historic times people have taken note of the Moon's phases and its waxing and waning cycle and used it to keep record of time.

When we look at the northern water tribe, we see a hunter- gatherer society who lives in a small village. The men are gone because they fight in the war and left women and children behind. The southern water tribe is more developed and the gender roles are stricter, women are not allowed to learn water bending because they are traditional healers. But they still depend on the moon, a symbol of feminine power while they try to mimic the fire nation army in order to trick them.

They represent a society that is outgrown of the moon worship because it started to center men while women get oppressed in order to defend itself from the imperialism of the fire nation.

In order to do this they need to make a sacrifice and that’s the devine feminine power, represented by princess yue who is now a moon deity worshipped from distance.

Many cultures have implicitly linked the 29.5-day lunar cycle to women's menstrual cycles, as evident in the shared linguistic roots of "menstruation" and "moon" words in multiple language families.

Many well-known mythologies feature moon goddesses, including the Greek goddess Selene, the Roman goddess Luna, and the Chinese goddess Chang'e. Several goddesses including Artemis, Hecate, and Isis did not originally have lunar aspects, and only acquired them late in antiquity due to syncretism with the de facto Greco-Roman lunar deity Selene/Luna.

This represents the transformation from matrilinear hunter gatherers societies towards patriarchy and civilization in early human history.

Contrary to the assumptions of ethnographers of the 19th and early 20th centuries, in the "primitive", archaic religious and mythological systems, a particularly revered "cult of the Sun" is not observed. In them, the Sun is perceived as a minor character or even an inanimate object.

The cult of the Sun comes to the fore in cultures where the role of the "sacred king" is increasing.

Solar deities are often thought of as male.

So the sun represents a dark masculine archetype in the story of ATLA as we see in season three, were warriors of water tribes attack the fire nation. In this situation the masculine power of the southern water tribe restored itself but without adopting harmful elements, representing a healthy way of masculinity as the opposite of the imperialist patriarchal firelord ozai. In order to defeat the firelord, they choose the day of a solar eclipse because it restricts fire bending.

Eclipses of the Sun and of the Moon have been described by nearly every culture. In cultures without an astronomical explanation, eclipses were often attributed to supernatural causes or regarded as bad omens.

When it comes to the fire nation, we also have Hama as a water bender who represents the evil witch, a myth that represents the big fear of the feminine power and revenge in patriarchal societies. Her power of blood bending only works during full moon. She represents a wounded feminine archetype.

The fire nation can’t be defieted during the eclipse and sozins arrives. It seems like everything is lost but then zuko and aang explore the ancient civilization of the sun warriors who are mimicked from mesoamerican cultures who were also on a transition point between hunter-gatherers and early civilization. They learn the ancient spirit of fire bending from it‘s source: the dragons.

That gives aang the right amount of strength to succeed in the battle against ozai who declared himself phoenix king. The sun warriors represent the inner strength that’s needed to change a system from the inside. They represent healthy masculinity just as the water tribe warriors but instead of attacking the fire nation from the outside, they teach aang how to conquer it with its own power. At this point the meaning of the sun changes into healthy masculine and the comet represents the imperialist masculine.

Off with your Head - A Valentine's Day LTWW short fic

"Mine, mine, my val-en-tine~!"

The voice echoed in the softened space, alight in pink from brightness passing through rose petal bunches; hundreds of them, enclosing the white picket maze. There was no way to see over, the flowers crowned the space in an arch, a tunnel of glowing red stretching off before the Detective like the gullet of a snake.

Waldo's voice sounded, each line of the chorus coming from a different direction, the multitude of him no doubt present.

"Beautiful, el-e-gant, devine~!"

"Oh, dear, please take your time~!"

"And enjoy my little pan-to-mime~!"

The crunch of dried rose petals brought an odd smell, and with each step the horror of the floral arrangements:

They had not originally been red.

Waldo laughed, as if guessing their assumption.

"Painting the roses red~!"

"We painted the roses red~!"

"Each shade you see~!"

"Is curtsy~!"

"Of a different person's head~!"

A harmonious chuckle rained petals upon them,

"Not all of them were deeeeeaaaaaaaad~!"

"But they wished they were instead~!"

The Detective's gut turned as the Waldos all erupted in laughter at their own witty jests. They hurried off down the channel, the ruby halls getting darker and darker, as the amount of roses became denser and denser.

It was only when they realized the light had eclipsed did they stop. The darkness swallowed them hungrily, smelling of perfume and chocolate. Turning, they could not find their way.

A sudden chill of moving air, cold fingers gripped their jaw, forcing them to look up and back. Sweater form behind them, eyes leering down. Somehow, their hands were restrained; it felt like thorns.

The irises glowed, neon streetlights of rainy midnight, illuminating the cobblestone smile.

"It's all for you, Detective,"

Shutters closed, ink swallowed, a rosebud kiss between their temples. Returning light, seemingly pink, poured a dark warmth into them that they could not fathom.

But Waldo had no trouble voicing it, sweet as sweet.

"My sweetest Valentine..."

The fourth country, finally. (There’s 12 in total, can be more)

This nation is a sacred land, deeply devoted to divine beings and the spiritual balance of the world. Here's my concept:

Nation Name: Orphyria (Placeholder, because I feel like I have seen this name somewhere already)

Orphyria is inspired heavily by Greek mythology, blended with influences from other polytheistic religions (such as Hinduism, Norse mythology, and ancient Egyptian beliefs). It is a land where gods, spirits, and celestial beings are deeply intertwined with daily life.

Main Gods they will be worshiping: A vast pantheon of gods, including deities of war, wisdom, nature, love, fate, and death. (Can possibly get changed in the future.)

Prophet system: A single, divinely chosen prophet serves as the mortal voice of the gods, delivering their messages to the people.

Celestial & Infernal balance: Angels, elves, and devils coexist, believing that good and evil must remain in balance rather than one overpowering the other.

Geography & Society

Holy Capital – A grand city built atop floating islands, said to be blessed by the gods themselves.

The Sacred Temples – Vast temple complexes dedicated to different gods, each with unique architecture and rituals.

The Oracular Mountains – A place where the prophet communes with the gods and receives divine visions.

The Underworld Gate – A site where souls are believed to pass into the afterlife, guarded by celestial warriors and infernal judges.I think I should make this connected to the Middle Zone… (Post about Middle Zone I will be posting later, or probably never.)

Society perhaps?

Theocratic Government – The nation is ruled by a Council of High Priests, but the Prophet’s word is absolute, as they are seen as the direct voice of the gods.

Divine Hierarchy – Different races take on various roles based on their connection to the gods:

Angels & Celestials – Serve as priests, scholars, and warriors of divine justice.

Elves & Spirits – Tied to nature deities, acting as guardians of sacred groves and elemental forces.

Devils & Fallen Beings – Believe in atonement and balance, often serving as judges or warriors who maintain cosmic order.

Religious Beliefs & Mythology

1. The Pantheon of the Twelve Thrones

Orphyria worships twelve primary gods, each overseeing different aspects of life and the universe.

The most powerful gods include:

Zethyros, King of the Skies (God of Lightning, Justice, and Kingship)

Nyphira, Mistress of Fate (Goddess of Destiny and Prophecies)

Tyradon, the Flame-forger (God of War and the Forge)

Ephyra, Keeper of Souls (Goddess of the Afterlife and Rebirth)

Azael, the Fallen Star (God of Chaos and Forbidden Knowledge)

2. The Cycle of Judgment

Orphyrians believe in a balance between virtue and sin, where all souls must pass through trials after death.

Souls are judged at the Underworld Gate, where divine and infernal beings weigh their deeds.

Those who prove themselves worthy ascend to Heavens, while those who fail are either reincarnated or serve the gods in penance.

3. The Prophetic Cycle

Every few centuries, a new Prophet is chosen by the gods through a celestial sign (such as a falling star or a divine eclipse).

The current Prophet is an Archangel with rare amber eyes, said to possess visions of the past and future.

Potential Conflicts (in my opinion)

The Balance of Divine Races – Can angels, elves, and devils truly coexist, or will tensions rise?

The Silence of the Gods – In recent years, some believe the gods are no longer answering prayers. What does this mean for the nation? Will the angels fell ill due to the lack of Devine energy?
