It's been a very rainy/indoorsy week down here in Charlotte so today we're getting oudda house. We're going to Birkdale to see Asteroid City, the latest Wes Anderson extravaganza.
I'm not a huge fan of Anderson. My three favorite Anderson movies are; "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou", "The Royal Tenenbaums", and "Fantastic Mr. Fox"
Anderson has a loyal and hip fan base. I am neither lyal nor hip so there's the first problem. Fortunately I probably won't have to put up with the over exaggerated in theater response from his fand who love to siganl how much they "get it" as I imagine our theater will be almost empty.
Asteroid City looks like another yet another aesthetic collision of idiosyncratic characters cast symetrically against an oddly saturated color palette who seem to be speaking in a coded language meant to suggest comedic subtlety.
Anderson illustrates one of the liabilities of the autueur theory. When we notice too many directorial touches, that stylization can come at the expense of the film most partiuclarly in terms of characterization and story telling. This lack of depth in characterization is part and parcel of ensemble casting and the cast for Asteroid City is about as attractive, eccentric and idiosyncratic as it can get in these days of cinematic decline. Let me drop a few names; Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Margot Robbie, Steve Carell, Edward Norton, Jason Schartzman, Jeff Goldblum and Tilda Swanson. All we need for a complete carnival would be the addition of Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Gwyneth Paltrow and or Adrian Brody. Thank God for semi-discipline.
So yeah, we're gonna give it a try.
Wes Anderson is a highly regarded American filmmaker known for his distinct visual style, meticulous attention to detail, and offbeat storytelling. Here are some notable films directed by Wes Anderson:
"Bottle Rocket" (1996): Anderson's directorial debut, a quirky comedy about a group of friends who plan and execute small-scale heists.
"Rushmore" (1998): A coming-of-age comedy-drama centered around an eccentric high school student named Max Fischer, played by Jason Schwartzman, and his friendship with a wealthy industrialist, played by Bill Murray.
"The Royal Tenenbaums" (2001): A dysfunctional family comedy-drama featuring an ensemble cast that includes Gene Hackman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Stiller, Anjelica Huston, and Luke Wilson.
"The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" (2004): A comedic adventure film about an oceanographer, played by Bill Murray, who sets out to exact revenge on a mythical shark that killed his partner.
"The Darjeeling Limited" (2007): A visually stunning comedy-drama that follows three estranged brothers, played by Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, and Jason Schwartzman, as they embark on a train journey across India.
"Fantastic Mr. Fox" (2009): An animated adaptation of Roald Dahl's children's book, featuring the voices of George Clooney, Meryl Streep, and Bill Murray. It tells the story of a cunning fox and his efforts to outwit three evil farmers.
"Moonrise Kingdom" (2012): A nostalgic coming-of-age film set in the 1960s, revolving around two young lovers who run away from their New England town, prompting a search party to find them.
"The Grand Budapest Hotel" (2014): A whimsical comedy set in a fictional European hotel, following the misadventures of a legendary concierge, played by Ralph Fiennes, and his apprentice.
"Isle of Dogs" (2018): Another stop-motion animated film by Anderson, set in a dystopian future Japan where a young boy searches for his lost dog on an isolated trash island.
These films showcase Wes Anderson's distinctive visual style, symmetrical compositions, vibrant color palettes, and eccentric characters. His work often blends comedy with poignant moments and explores themes of family, love, and the human condition.
what are his more current filmsChatGPT
As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Wes Anderson's most recent film was "The French Dispatch" (2021). However, please note that there may have been subsequent releases or announcements since then that I'm not aware of. "The French Dispatch" is a comedic anthology film set in the fictional French city of Ennui-sur-Blasé. It features an ensemble cast including Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, Owen Wilson, and many others. The film tells various stories published in the eponymous magazine, each presented as a separate article. It encapsulates Anderson's signature visual style and storytelling approach.
why some people aren't fans of WesChatGPT
While Wes Anderson has a dedicated fan base and is highly regarded by many, it's important to acknowledge that not everyone may appreciate his films or become fans. Here are a few reasons why some people might not be fans of Wes Anderson:
Quirky and idiosyncratic style: Wes Anderson's distinct visual style, meticulous compositions, and eccentric characters can be polarizing. Some viewers may find his aesthetic choices, such as symmetrical framing or exaggerated color palettes, to be too stylized or artificial, which may detract from their enjoyment of his films.
Slow pacing and dry humor: Anderson's films often have a deliberate pacing and dry humor that might not resonate with everyone. The emphasis on dialogue-driven storytelling and subtle comedic moments may not appeal to those who prefer fast-paced, action-packed narratives or more overt humor.
Lack of relatability or emotional connection: Some viewers may find it challenging to emotionally connect with Anderson's characters or find them relatable. His films often feature idiosyncratic and quirky characters that can be seen as detached or emotionally distant, which may make it difficult for certain audiences to engage with the story on a deeper level.
Repetitive themes and stylistic choices: Critics argue that Wes Anderson's films can be formulaic, with recurring themes, visual motifs, and character archetypes. While this consistency is appreciated by many fans, others may feel that his work lacks innovation or becomes predictable over time.
Overemphasis on style over substance: Detractors of Wes Anderson sometimes claim that his meticulous attention to visual detail and stylization can overshadow the substance or depth of his storytelling. They argue that his films can prioritize style and aesthetic choices at the expense of character development or thematic exploration.
It's essential to remember that personal preferences in film are subjective, and not every filmmaker or style will resonate with everyone. While Wes Anderson has a dedicated following, it's natural that some individuals may not connect with his films for various reasons.

Pod-Alization: Best Podcast For Kids; Reign Of Error Final Episode; Lovin’ The Life Shift Podcast

The Ten News Podcast celebrates Pride Month
Developing any news program today is about as dangerous as that barrel gambit over Niagara Falls. However objective you may think your news program is, you will always have people claiming it's "fake news" or it doesn't sufficiently worship at the feet of self-proclaimed and self-deputized culture warriors.
News for children is even more of a long shot for success. We have parents at school board meetings screaming about curriculum that isn't taught in their schools, but their Facebook group claims it is. Or books like "The Diary of Anne Frank" banned in parts of Florida and Texas because --. Who knows why?
That’s why The Ten News podcast is simply so good. It is terrific children’s programming. This is how The Ten News describes their podcast: “The Ten News podcast explores topics that kids care about most, including events, sports, science, gaming, pop culture, entertainment, and more! With new episodes every Wednesday, it’s a great way for you and your family to stay connected with what’s going on in the world.”
The Ten News was a Common Sense Selection, which is a part of Common Sense Media’s seal program that recognizes podcasts for engaging stories, valuable content, diverse voices, characters, and messages that are a great choice for kids & families.
In its first two seasons, the podcast produced and released an amazing 129 episodes. In those two seasons, the podcast has welcomed notable guests such as LEGO Masters Judge Amy Corbett, America’s top doctor Dr. Anthony Fauci, and Sarah Natochenny, the voice of Ash Ketchum for Pokémon fans.
The Ten News podcast is deep into its third season with a brand-new logo, format, and co-hosts. The Ten News delivers quality news content to kids 8–12.
One of the podcast's best features is Ten Things You Need To Know. In those episodes, which last about seven minutes, ten kid-appropriate news items are covered.
In one of its recent episodes The Ten News celebrates Pride Month.

Reign Of Error releases last episode in the series
If you enjoy listening to a narrative unfold about an entitled rich guy who had everything but acted like he deserved more, listen to Reign Of Error. Produced and distributed by Wondery, an Amazon company, Reign Of Error was created by Smartless Media, a podcast company started by actors Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes, who signed a podcast development deal with Amazon in 2021.
James Dolan was born into immense privilege. He could have done anything with his life. But he chose the family business — a cable television empire that came to include ownership of the New York Knicks, one of the most beloved franchises on earth. What happened from there is a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions. Dolan didn't just lead the Knicks to disaster (and the worst record in the NBA in the 21st Century); he also built a laboratory of shame, dysfunction, and, well, unintentional hilarity.
Host David Greene is your concierge as he unpacks this trainwreck, over five riveting episodes, while chasing the answer to one elusive question: Why the hell won't James Dolan just sell the team?
If you don't know James Dolan, then believe me when I state that he is thick-headed and thin-skinned. Over his 20+ year tenure as owner of the NBA's Knicks and Madison Square Garden, Dolan has started a war and maintained trench warfare with the press. In 2017, Dolan had Knicks former great Charles Oakley escorted out of the Garden and arrested. After an avalanche of bad press and an Oakley lawsuit, the former Knick was finally allowed back into the Garden.
Score: Oakley 1. Dolan 0.
In the last few years, Dolan has been banning and ejecting people who are related to law firms and other organizations involved in lawsuits or matters against him.
Dolan once banned a fan for loudly urging him to sell the team. His security detail had used facial recognition to refuse admission to anyone who has -- in his warped mind -- become an enemy. That includes lawyers from a large firm suing Dolan, even though the lawyers ejected had no involvement in the case.
Score. Fans 1. Dolan 0.
Hiring David Greene as the host of this express train to deranged entitlement takes a steady hand. Too caustic and demeaning, and the host comes off as mean-spirited toward the subject, James Dolan. Too soft, and Dolan appears to get a free pass for exquisite pettiness and bullying behavior.
David Greene is a true pro. He handles the Dolan story with a perfect dosage of humor, snark, and natural curiosity about what powers the ego of James Dolan.
Greene is now the host of KCRW's Left Right & Center (LRC), a well-established politics podcast that is appropriately billed as "The civilized yet provocative antidote to the self-contained opinion bubbles that dominate political debate."
I highly recommend Reign Of Error for several reasons. First, the tale about James Dolan is a cautionary story about the serious consequences of an America where economic inequality gives birth to entitled man-boys like James Dolan, Jeffrey Epstein, Elon Musk, et al. Second, Greene excels as the host, hitting his three-point jump shot of conclusions and insights at a higher rate than Steph Curry.
Finally, the five-part podcast series leads listeners down this dark road of dysfunction until you say, "There's no way James Dolan could do something more egregious than this."
And then he does.
The last episode focuses on efforts to get Dolan to sell the NBA's Knicks to an owner who will restore it to its former glory.
Check it out. Maybe you'll buy the team.
The Life Shift podcast: Listen to Life-altering moments
Interview podcasts succeed or fail based on two factors. First, how good is the host as an interviewer? Can the host ask questions that stimulate a conversation? Is the host prepared and done the research, yet spontaneous enough to ask impromptu questions generated via the back and forth of the interview? Does the host actively listen and respond appropriately?
On The Life Shift podcast, host Matt Gilhooly has candid conversations with people about the pivotal moments that changed their lives forever.
The Life Shift podcast highlights life-altering moments and humanizes the struggles and triumphs through them all.
While that mission is an aggressive goal, The Life Shift podcast has an ace in the hole.
It's the host, Matt Gilhooly. Sound Judgment podcast creator and host Elaine Appleton Grant has been talking about "hostiness" for over a year. Hostiness is the skill set necessary to be an effective podcast host. And Matt Gilhooly definitely has plenty of hostiness.
Gilhooly, a Public Relations Graduate from the University of Florida, possesses the innate ability to interview his guests with the skill of a therapist, an aptitude for active listening, and an empathetic style that soothes the guests and entrances the listeners.
Matt Gilhooly's success proves that you don't have to be a celebrity, a person with years of experience in media, a Spotify-funded "influencer," or a private equity-funded elitist, to be a successful podcast host with a podcast that celebrates the ability of humans to overcome, thrive in spite of obstacles, and recognize that pivotal moment in which an individual's life hangs in the balance.
In his most recent episodes, Gilhooly speaks to two women who overcame trauma and found success. First, Gilhooly speaks to Elizabeth Rosenberg, who shares her personal journey from burnout to spiritual awakening. "And I learned through therapy that I would also give myself migraines not only to give myself a time-out but to punish myself for not being successful at what I had set out to do, which is just like mind-blowing to me because you're like, oh my God, like you did this to yourself," Rosenberg observes.
Then MC McDonald shares her journey of overcoming trauma, navigating grief and family relationships, and finding success. "I think if we can think about trauma and, and that point of healing as possible, then we can, we can enter into the healing process with a lot more hope than with this understanding that if you have trauma, that means you are somehow like marred or broken or, you know," McDonald says.
Check out The Life Shift podcast.  Maybe the podcast can help you through your "life-altering moment."

Red Room (2)
Pairing: Pornstar!Arthur/Costar!Fem Reader
Summary: Arthur returns a long awaited favor.
Warning: Contains very detailed depictions of smut.
A/N: for my fellow Arthur hoes @pomini-puttana, @arthursbitch, and @verai-marcel :)
Explicit: +18
You arrive at his condominium promptly after, opting to change into something more fit for the occasion. Your Rolex watch on the wrist and body con dress to compliment the crevices of each curve, cinched tightly to accentuate your hips. Arthur guides you past concierge through the text of his phone. he greets you with a welcoming smile. Comfortably dressed in grey sweatpants and white tank top he pivots his broad self—granting you entry. As you walk past, you can feel his eyes analyzing your choice of wear, sucking in his breath quietly as he shuts the door behind him.
His home was unapologetically modern. Brand new television, white Persian rug with a matching sofa set finish, and a vintage record player. The large windows overlooked the city beautifully though unbeknownst, Arthur was an avid fan of the arts. You'd observe as messy piles of old sketches were scattered in one area in particular. Several studies of contemporary artists filled the off-white walls of his living room. You also notice photos of a child next to what presumably is his mother. His soft blonde locks matched Arthur's, he even has his eyes.
"It's, it's my son." He confirms, sheepishly. "Isaac."
You glanced at him as you pondered what to say next. He bears a striking resemblance to his father. Same colored eyes, tan skin complexion, even his locks of hair to the nape of his neck is a painstakingly obvious indicator of Arthur's genetics.
"How old is he?" You inquire, though you shouldn't—curiosity piques its interest as you observe the woman next to the child in the photo. She looks young, around her mid-twenties. Her brown locks of hair pressed neatly for the family photo; a beat of silence ensues.
As if hesitant to respond, you add for him. "Unless you're comfortable of course." Another overbearing silence follows causing guilt to wash over you. Arthur returns to the living room with a few candy bars and gummy bears, placing them on the coffee table as he finds comfort next to you.  "Nah, you're alright. He's about five years old. His momma is very protective of 'im. Spoils that kid she does." He mumbles while grabbing the remote. "So, I don't want to seem like some cheesy bastard but I'm about to put on some Netflix. Any recommendations?"
Giggling on instinct, you nod. "I never pegged you for a Netflix kind of guy." You glance again and you swore that a glint of mischief found him, in that one second. Excitement coursed through your veins at the idea of repeating earlier today. Though he did say he'd be returning the favor, the question would soon come to fruition as to when he'd be able to—perhaps now, or when the movie began to build gradually.
And it did, Arthur didn't miss a beat to play his favorite western film starring Clint Eastwood. "Well, I ain't too fond of Netflix aside from a few shows. I'm never watchin' TV." Just the way he spoke was enough to voluntarily chafe your thighs together. A gentle reminder of what could potentially happen in a matter of minutes. You nod, reclining even further onto the leather sofa. Arthur isn't as naïve as he may let on, he's a man that slowly builds tension. You'd assume he purposely wore grey sweatpants to tempt you into glancing—your resilience is admirable in that regard, you note mentally.
"I agree, cable television sucks." You acknowledge, though regretting you worn a dress that ride up to the thighs. It wasn't helping that your slick essence pooled at the center neither, nor you going commando. Almost sure that Arthur seen you sit abruptly, awaiting his response.
"Sure. Can I ask you a question?" Your heart drops to the center of your stomach before nodding. You glimpse, only to find his emerald-like senses etched to yours. Clearing your throat as you blink.
"Shoot." Your voice squeaks slightly as you slap yourself mentally for losing your composure in front of Arthur. Admittedly, a man of his stature can be quite intimidating, he is a good man—knowingly.
"What made you start—uh, you know, filmin?"
You could tell he tried to go about this question respectfully, and you could admire that. You smile at him before releasing a sigh.
"Nothing too exciting. I felt like life was all about living up to norms, so I figured porn would be a fun way to start." Arthur chuckles, amusingly, admiring your crass language.
"Nothin' too excitin?' you coulda been way off in school than doin' this."
Again, you shrug, indifferent. "I became an adult film star to rebel against my parents. My father drowned his problems in what money could buy—or what women could charge. My mother never complained, on her way to the bank that is." You reply. "I guess you can say my family is, a bit dysfunctional."
Arthur blinks, a bit loss for words. He nods in understanding and presses no longer. He averts his attention back to the film. A bit of guilt does linger in his mind, perhaps had he not pressed on about academics, the current tension wouldn't be so awkward.
One thing Arthur could admit to is his wrongs. The last thing he wants is for you to be upset.
He clears his throat as his eyes stay glued to his high-definition TV. "Listen, I didn't mean to come off as rude. I apologize."  Your brows furrowed before clearing your throat, "Arthur, you've been nothing but good to me."
"Some things are better left bein' unsaid."   He feels it, your soft, dainty fingers make contact with his thigh. The feel of your hand rub dangerously close to his center.
He balls his fists, in hopes he could keep his brazen side at bay; for a little longer at least. The objective was to make you feel good one way Arthur knew how. You felt his body language grow rigid.
He's holding back. This makes your smirk widen as your fingers finds the outline of his "print," shamelessly hardening at the touch. Palming him, he sucks in a breath before exhaling, his eyes glancing at you in a daze.
"You don't want to do that woman." His voice, a few octaves lower. "Not before I make you feel good first."
"Oh?"  upon initial shock, you find yourself straddling him as if he were some saddle. Your hips gently grinding at where you needed him most. "And what does making me feel good compose of?"
At this point your cunt was throbbing with subdued excitement as you grab Arthur's balled fists, now unraveled against yours, before pressing them onto your breasts. You moan his name softly, but powerful enough for him to grunt. "Tell me, Arthur. How are you going to make me cum?"
You figured it was only a matter of time until Arthur's patience wore thin, surprisingly lasting longer than his set time. You find yourself on your back, atop his expensive couch, devouring your neck while his thick fingers fondle with your pussy.
"You wanna know how I'll make you cum?" Arthur sighs, as his hardened cock grazes your leg. "I've always been a man of action, so why don't I gone head an' show you?"
You gasp, releasing a moan as he encircled your clit with his fingers, teasing you as he trailed down from your neck to your breasts slowly—as if memorizing your body's response to him. He notes how you open yourself to him more when he's at a spot you enjoy, subtle eye contact upon foreplay, and his own response to you.
"Shit." You whisper as his tongue finally reaches where you desperately need them to be. Never mind how drenched your cunt was as Arthur removes your thong with his teeth—when his tongue teases at your inner thigh, he looks up at you to assess the damage.
And oh, was there damage. Your teeth bit painfully deep onto your bottom lip in anticipation. Your neck craned forward while your hand was at the back of Arthur's head.
"Please, ple—oh, fuuuuck." You slurred as his tongue works it's magic at your clit, lapping at your essence while keeping eye contact. Your neck falls back into some pillows while your mouth forms silent 'ohs,' gripping at the locks of his hair, grinding your nether lips into his face.
Your grip on his hair tightened with every painfully slow lap of his mouth, your cries of pleasure only grew in volume, "Yes, keep going just like that."
"Just like that?" he teased. "Or maybe a little more?" He hummed at your lips as he slid his finger inside.
You grew rigid as your jaw fell slack, the squelching of your mound only sounding the room. Your walls tightened as Arthur continued his ministrations, his eyes never leaving yours. Time to time he'd hum, mumbling words like "you taste so good," to push you over the edge.
"Oh fuck, yes." Your voice projects. "Arthurrrr."
His body arises, softly adding another finger as his forehead makes contact with yours. You reached nirvana better than any man could make you reach—you questioned if you'd fallen in love with Arthur with what little time you two spent acquainting yourselves with each other. To make matters worst Arthur uses the pad of his thumb, stimulating your clit as his breath hitches—he knows he has you where he wants you.
Eyes fluttering, clenching of teeth, and hips swiveling in pursuit of your release. You were almost to your peak as you let your body let go, your eyes rolling back as you squirt all over his hands. Your voice was embarrassingly loud, perhaps enough to wake neighbors even.
Arthur didn't allow you intervals of recovery before filling you to the hilt. His cock undeniably hard, you gasp in pleasure as he rams his girth. Your cries of erotic sounds could be heard from far and wide.
Beads of sweat accumulate on your co-stars head as he grunts, his face contorting as his blue eyes find yours. Your heart swirls nearly before your fingers nail his back.
"Fuck." You gasp, "fuck me Arthur—you're so fucking good."
He groans approvingly at your crassness, your ability to tune into your primal mind and let yourself come undone. Arthur smirks as his hands find comfort around your neck, squeezing tenderly as he pistons faster—deeper.
"You like it when I play rough huh darlin'?"
Yes. You loved it, you loved every second of this. His onslaught of rough-play atop his demeanor and bulky self. If you could be underneath Arthur in such a compromising position forever—you would.
Suddenly a change in position shifted as you found yourself on top of Arthur’s body. His hands on the side of your hips as you rode his to bliss. His eyes fluttering close as a familiar tightness in his belly arised. His hands smacked your ass roughly as you slapped your hips harder against his pelvis—his cock grazing the g-spot expeditiously.
“Oh my god, ye—hm, I’m close Arthur.”
“Where do you want me?” You blush at his suggestion, but kept your pace nonetheless. He notes your hesitation, moving his hips at the spot your need him most—you see black.
“Oh fuck–inside me. I want you inside me.”
That was enough to tip the older man over the edge as he pumped his seed deeply, your pussy warm with remnants of him as you remove yourself from his now softening cock.
You collapse on top of him as you both take time to recollect your breathing. There’s a comforting silence as you hear the beat of his heart. His arms wrapped around you tightly as he kisses the back of your head softly. “Not bad for a favor returned Mr. Morgan.”
He chuckles softly before rubbing the small of your back, “Who said anything about the night bein’ done? Darlin’ we just star-“
The conversation cut short by the sound of Arthur’s phone. He apologizes swiftly, motioning for you to sit up as you oblige immediately, though followed by a tinge of curiosity.
“Shit,” He reads the caller ID from his cell.
“What?”
He sighs, a smirk playing on his lips, as if he already knows what’s coming. “It’s the receptionist from the front desk.”
He answers reluctantly, placing the call on speaker. He sighs, “Good evening, Ms. Grimmshaw!”
“Mr. Morgan! Could you please keep it down. Again, I have noise complaints from folk your hall. If you’re going to have company for the love of God control your noise levels. Don’t make me have to kick you and that harlot out!”
Before Arthur could get a word in the line clicked dead, earning an amusing stare from you.
Both of you erupting in a fit of laughter.
=
Debating on if I wanna do the final part but FINALLY, after all of that waiting it’s here :);) enjoy

Factors affectinga successful IVF
IVF is the most common Assisted Reproductive procedure in today’s worldand while the time taken for a successful IVF varies on a case-to-case basis, the entire procedure can take 2-3 weeks while recurring cycles can extend the time considerably. While your treating doctor will guide you with the best possible optionsto attain pregnancy, here are some factors that affect your chances of a successful IVF.
 1.       The Fertility Issue – Certain fertility issues make success with IVF less likely. It could be fibroid tumors, uterine abnormalities or an ovarian dysfunction. In these cases, the longer you wait to seek treatment, the less likely it will be successful. IVF, however, can very successfully overcome lots of fertility issues.
 2.       Previous Pregnancy – If you and your current partner have had a successful pregnancy in the past, it means you have a better chance of successful pregnancy with IVF than in cases which have experienced multiple miscarriages or other fertility issues.
  3.       Age – Women in every stage of reproductive life have been able to successfully use IVF. Although, success rates drop with age. From 24 to 34, women have the highest chances of success with IVF treatment (32.2%) because this is the age range when women are most fertile. By the time a woman reaches age 40, success rates drop to around 13.6%., you should still explore IVF options, as the success of treatment is highly dependent on your unique body and medical history.
Tumblr media
 4.       Lifestyle Factors – Living a healthy lifestyle will create a conducive environment for an embryo. The same would include quitting smoking and drinking at least 3 months before the treatment begins. Also maintaining a healthy weight is also key to a successfulIVF. Excess weight affects how the body processes hormones and fertility medications, regulates menstrual cycles, and can also adversely affect a successful pregnancy term. The good news is that you can control your lifestyle, and these factors can be actively improved.
  5.       Egg and Embryo Quality – The quality of eggs and embryos depends on some of the other factors such as age, ovarian reserve, stimulation protocol and sperm quality. The higher quality eggs and embryos, the better likelihood IVF treatment will be successful.
 6.       Sperm Quality – About 90% of chromosomal embryo issues occur due to egg quality. However, male fertility factors still affect embryos. If the male partner has fertility issues, new technology is helping to mitigate the adverse effects to make successful pregnancy more likely.
 7.       Mental Health -There are many people that go through IVF treatment for an extended period of time. Often, with the anticipation of what the future holds, creates an unfavorable environment which affects one’s mental health & also the chances of successful implantation.Try and remember to focus on yourself. Self-care keeps you in the right frame of mind to tackle any obstacles that may be ahead of you.On an IVF journey it’s important to do things that make you feel good about yourself, whether that’s exercise, being outside, pampering yourself, meditation or even just time to be by yourself with your thoughts.
And most importantly, if you don’t have immediate success in IVF you will go through a grieving process. Couples will experience a range of emotions; sadness, anger, frustration, confusion. It becomes imperative to keep communicating with your partner & loved ones in these times so that the thoughts do not overpower you.

Wes Anderson's Movies, Ranked By Rotten Tomatoes | ScreenRant
Wes Anderson has one of the most distinctive voices in cinema today. It can be described (or even dismissed) as “quirky,” but it’s more than that. He has a strong grasp of symmetry when composing his scenes and framing his shots; he casts Bill Murray in even weirder roles than he usually plays; and he makes movies that, however strange-looking, focus on very real human relationships and how we handle various different emotions.
RELATED: Wes Anderson’s 10 Most Memorable Characters
Most of Anderson’s movies are acclaimed by critics, but some have been more universally adored than others. So, here are Wes Anderson’s Movies, Ranked By Rotten Tomatoes.
9 The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (56%)
Tumblr media
Drawn from a screenplay written by Wes Anderson and Noah Baumbach, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou has a pretty large budget for an Anderson movie ($50 million), but it’s no less quirky. This is probably the reason for the fact that the movie failed at the box office. For any fan of Anderson’s, it’s business as usual.
Bill Murray stars as Steve Zissou, a parody of the famous French explorer Jacques Cousteau, as he heads out into the deep sea to get revenge against the jaguar shark that ate his partner. It’s a Wes Anderson-helmed take on a Moby Dick-type story.
8 The Darjeeling Limited (69%)
Tumblr media
The Darjeeling Limited is easily Wes Anderson’s most underrated movie. This is probably due to its critical reception being weaker than most of his others. But it’s actually a very interesting movie, with some entertaining set pieces and character moments.
It has a simplistic premise, following three brothers on a train journey across India, but what the lack of real plot opens the movie up to do is explore the relationship between these brothers. It also gives the cinematographer, Robert Yeoman (Anderson’s long-time go-to guy), plenty of room to capture the beauty of India. The Darjeeling Limited is a road movie on one of the most spectacular roads in the world.
7 The Royal Tenenbaums (80%)
Tumblr media
Arguably the movie that defines Wes Anderson’s career, The Royal Tenenbaums is the powerful story of a dysfunctional family; sort of like a Noah Baumbach movie with extra quirk. The ensemble cast – from Gene Hackman as the patriarch to Ben Stiller and Gwyneth Paltrow – is impeccable, anchored by voiceover narration by Alec Baldwin.
RELATED: 10 Quirky Comedies To Watch If You Like The Big Lebowski
With its curiously inventive structure and compelling character dynamic, this may be Wes Anderson’s greatest script (co-written with Owen Wilson), while the use of music creates poignant moments like Luke Wilson’s attempted suicide scene set to Elliott Smith’s “Needle in the Hay.” The Royal Tenenbaums walks a tonal tightrope between comedy and tragedy deftly.
6 Bottle Rocket (85%)
Tumblr media
Wes Anderson’s directorial debut Bottle Rocket wasn’t a huge hit at the box office, but it was praised by critics enough to launch his career, and Martin Scorsese would eventually call it one of his favorite movies of the ‘90s. It also launched the career of Owen Wilson, who co-wrote the script with Anderson and also made his film debut acting in it.
The crime genre and the comedy genre have rarely been balanced this well – Anderson takes joy in the simple interactions that people have, bringing a human element to a wild premise. Rotten Tomatoes calls it “Reservoir Dogs meets Breathless.”
5 Rushmore (89%)
Tumblr media
Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson’s script for Rushmore is a fascinating three-hander focusing on the relationships shared by a disparate trio. Jason Schwartzman (in his debut role) plays Max, a quirky teenager; Bill Murray plays Herman, a wealthy industrialist; and Olivia Williams plays Rosemary, Max’s teacher.
The story becomes about a love triangle when Max and Herman both fall in love with Rosemary. As it turns out, she’s not interested in either of them and dates a doctor played by Luke Wilson instead, driving them both crazy with jealousy. Rushmore is so culturally significant, capturing a piece of the ‘90s, that it’s been preserved in the Library of Congress.
4 Isle of Dogs (90%)
Tumblr media
Wes Anderson returned to his distinctive style of stop-motion animation last year to helm this unusual tale set in a dystopian Japan in the near future. While the movie was accused of cultural appropriation for its use of Japanese imagery and a mostly white cast, there’s no denying that this is a gorgeous work of big-screen animation.
It might not quite stack up with the rest of Anderson’s filmography, but it is an interesting addition to his overall body of work. Isle of Dogs was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, but it was beaten to the prize by the admittedly superior Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
3 The Grand Budapest Hotel (91%)
Tumblr media
Wes Anderson was nominated for both Best Picture and Best Director at the Oscars for The Grand Budapest Hotel. The framing narrative sees Jude Law playing a writer who is documenting the wacky escapades of the staff and guests at the hotel, but it’s clear that Ralph Fiennes is the star here.
He plays Gustave H., the concierge, and the actor’s deadpan delivery style makes sure every line is laugh-out-loud hilarious. Tony Revolori (now best known for playing Flash in the MCU’s Spider-Man movies) also provides excellent support as his young sidekick, the lobby boy Zero. The Grand Budapest Hotel is quite possibly Anderson’s funniest movie.
2 Fantastic Mr. Fox (92%)
Tumblr media
In a dream casting akin to Quentin Tarantino getting Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt in the same movie, Wes Anderson managed to pair up George Clooney and Meryl Streep in his animated adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl book Fantastic Mr. Fox.
RELATED: George Clooney's 10 Best Movies, According To Rotten Tomatoes
While it wasn’t as big a box office hit as a live-action movie starring Clooney and Streep would’ve been (or even an animated movie with a less quirky and more digestible style of animation), it was showered with praise by critics, and rightly so. The movie is as delightful and heartwarming and filled with starry-eyed innocence as its source material.
1 Moonrise Kingdom (93%)
Tumblr media
This coming-of-age tale about kids attending a scouting camp does something interesting that few on-screen love stories do. It tells the parallel stories of a pair of bright-eyes tweens falling in love and an old married couple falling out of love, tackling the full spectrum of romance in a way that few romantic movies manage to do.
Anderson’s trademark use of symmetry in his cinematic composition is on point here, and his personal stamp can be spotted in every scene, line of dialogue, and character moment. This is the work of a filmmaker at the height of his powers, for better or for worse.

Andrew Sarris’ Take on the Auteur Theory by Looking at the Films of Wes Anderson by Paola C. Quintero
In “Notes on the Auteur Theory”, Andrew Sarris states that the auteur theory is misunderstood, vague and “in constant flux”1. The first sentence of the piece is, “...As far as I know, there is no definition of the auteur theory in the English language, that is, by any American or British critic.”2 Sarris then goes on to present three premises of the auteur theory, which are: “...the technical competence of a director as a criterion of value...the distinguishable personality of the director as a criterion of value...and the third and ultimate premise of the auteur theory is concerned with interior meaning, the ultimate glory of the cinema as an art”.3
Sarris proposes that his three premises may be “visualized as three concentric circles: the outer as technique; the middle circle, personal style; and the inner circle, interior meaning. The corresponding roles of the director may be designated as those of a technician, a stylist, and an auteur.”4 Wes Anderson has proven to be a technically competent director, he has infused each and every one of his films with a specific personal style and as far as interior meaning, I believe Anderson has demonstrated his “élan of the soul”5, to borrow Sarris’ expression.
Wes Anderson is a filmmaker from Texas, born in 1969. As a child, he started making super-8 movies and writing plays. Later, while studying philosophy at the University of Texas, Austin Anderson met Owen Wilson, became friends and started making short films.6 In less than two decades he has seen the release of eight feature films written, directed and (seven of these) produced by him: Bottle Rocket (1996), the story of a trio of friends who plan to pull off the perfect robbery; Rushmore (1998), where a high school student and a wealthy industrialist fall in love for the same teacher; The Royal Tenenbaums (2001), a film about three former child prodigies in New York City and their estranged father who returns to live with them and their mother; The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004), about a Jacques Cousteau-like character who’s on the hunt for a mythical shark that killed his best friend; The Darjeeling Limited (2007) the tale of three emotionally distant brothers who go on a spiritual journey on a train across India; Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009), a stop motion animated version of Roald Dahl’s children’s tale; Moonrise Kingdom (2012), about two young lovers who decide to run away from their homes; and The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), a story set in Europe between the wars about the life of a famous hotel concierge told through the nostalgic eyes of his protégé.
Anderson’s films have won many awards, including the Little Golden Lion in 2007 at the Venice Film Festival for The Darjeeling Limited. Prestigious competitions have nominated his films, such as Cannes Film Festival in 2013 for the Palm d’Or for Moonrise Kingdom. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science nominated Moonrise Kingdom for Best Writing in 2013, The Royal Tenenbaums in 2002 for Best Writing, and Best Animated Feature for Fantastic Mr. Fox in 2010. His latest release, The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) became Anderson’s highest grossing film by breaking the $100m mark in ticket sales worldwide.7
Each film has recurring motifs, actors, techniques, cinematography, or obscure music. He has worked with the same actors, cinematographer, composer, and music supervisor in many of his films. His films are described sometimes as quirky, charming, meticulously composed worlds, having obsessively composed frames, featuring a preference for symmetry, fantasy, human emotion, portraying issues of the white middle and upper middles classes, where the heroes/anti-hero is usually male, and featuring ensemble casts.
Ever since his first film, Bottle Rocket, Anderson has proven to be consistent in the themes he portrays in his films, such as: dysfunctional families, estranged family members, infidelity, parental separation, mental illness, suicide, sophisticated and precocious children that don’t fit in, alienation, and falling in love. His comedy/dramas features dry humor, adventure, conflict, tragedy, but the end is usually quite hopeful and uplifting. The hero (or heroes) goes through an experience and becomes a better person in the end because of it. For example, in The Darjeeling Limited the ensemble cast (some of them recurring actors) go on a sometimes quirky and funny journey (which includes an animated tiger) that deals with very tender and profound human themes. The three Whitman brothers don’t trust each other, but by the end, they connect and learn to drop the heavy baggage (literally and figuratively) that was holding them back in many areas of their lives.
Every Wes Anderson film has his stamp, his DNA, his signature. Right from the opening credits, certain elements convey that this is Anderson’s story, that he is the storyteller it, and that this film contains a world he has created. Several of his films, such as The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Rushmore, Moonrise Kingdom and The Grand Budapest Hotel, start with the opening of theater curtains, a shot of a stage, a painting on a wall, a map illustration, or the cover of an illustrated book. Landscape and portrait painting also feature prominently in his films.
The way Anderson constructs his world is very conscious and visually elegant. His films are rich in color, aesthetic feasts for the eyes, masterful in costume and décor, and inhabited by eccentric characters and situations, yet all of the sudden a very real and emotional punch can hit you out of nowhere. In The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, when Steve Zissou learns that Ned Plimpton might be his son, Zissou takes a moment to absorb the news, with David Bowie cover song in the background. Another example is in The Royal Tenenbaums when Richie Tenenbaum joins Margot Tenembaum in the tent and shows him his suicide attempt scars, this time, with The Rolling Stones playing Ruby Tuesday.
Anderson’s body of work is still evolving; with each film he seems to cover new territory, while still retaining his essence. His films are a mixture of fantasy and human emotion. The rich imaginative world he creates acts as a vehicle that conveys a darker, sadder, and melancholic reality. The emotional sincerity conveyed by the actors can seem unexpected in Anderson’s somewhat artificial and carefully composed worlds. The dialogue is simple and beautiful, like some poetry. In Moonrise Kingdom, even the character realize this:
Sam: Why do you always use binoculars? Suzy: It helps me see things closer. Even if they're not very far away. I pretend it's my magic power.
Sam: That sounds like poetry. Poems don't always have to rhyme, you know. They're just supposed to be creative.
Wes Anderson’s can be reminiscent of the early filmmakers like George Méliès, who embraced filmmaking, and specifically the mise-en-scène, with a sense of wonder, magic, and illusion. Fantasy and humanism, narration, symmetry, centered doorways, windows, paintings- centered everything in almost every shot, point of view shots, slow-motion cinematography, square framing, rapid zoom in, sweeping camera pan, intricately staged action, flamboyant costume, décor and crowd movement. With each film Wes Anderson demonstrates pleasure for visually telling a story. He is fascinated by the act of story telling (not the story) and by the process and magic of filmmaking. His films have demonstrated that he is a master at calculated beauty.

Clint Cornell–The family specialist for all your medical challenges
Have you been feeling under the weather?  Have you had all the routine tests done and still feel like a limp rag?  Well, then you need to meet with Clint Cornell Cincinnati, the proactive practitioner who will doubtlessly fix your medical challenges.
Clint Cornell thinks out of the box and is innovative in his methods.  Combining the best of alternative medical strategies he has a medical Midas touch when it comes to healing. It is fortunate that this divergent thinking practitioner is now associated with Peak Performance Medical, a unique platform dispensing medical care in an unusual manner.
How does Peak Performance Medical operate?
Call it concierge medical practice or boutique medical care, Peak Performance Medical offers customized patient care for every member.   Given that each doctor is allotted a fixed and limited number of patients each day, the radar of their service extends beyond ‘Sick Care’ to include ‘Well Care’ as well.  The ‘well care’ outlook is what prompts Clint Cornell to examine his patients from a wide angle and accurately diagnose their medical problems.
Comfortably affordable and economic
Most people incorrectly conclude that customized medical care is only for the rich and privileged; but at Peak Performance Medical, you will be surprised to learn that the monthly retainer is very economical.  For $55 a month, adults (18 to 62 years) have easy access to the doctor over phone, text, telemedicine and if a personal meeting is required, this can be arranged within the span of 24 hours.  In addition, injections, in-house laboratory tests, EKGs and Lung function tests all come without any extra charge.  Members at Peak Performance Medical enjoy substantial rebates on prescription medicines, external tests, MRIs, ultrasounds, and several other procedures.
Peak Performance Plus
Several alternate integrative medical strategies are administered at Peak Performance Medical on payment of a higher retainer. These include:
Testosterone Replacement Therapy
Class IV Laser Therapy
Platelet Rich Plasma
These wellness-centric services have far-reaching and effective results.
Testosterone Replacement Therapy
For example, Clint Cornell PA-C has effectively controlled sugar levels and in some cases even converted diabetic patients into non-diabetics with the Testosterone Replacement Therapy. Boosting testosterone levels to the required margin has been known to erase all traces of fatigue and sluggishness. Conditions such as hormonal dysfunction, adrenal fatigue, and nutritional imbalances have been known to be corrected with testosterone replacement.
Testosterone can be administered either by injections or implanted testosterone pellets.  The latter has longer lasting effects and is relatively painless.
Class IV Laser Therapy
Being a man of the outdoors and an adventure seeker himself, Clint Cornell understands full well the urge of the sportsperson to be constantly in communion with the arena and where the action is. This free spirit in him has led him to come up with some marvelous innovative medical strategies.  Class IV Laser Therapy helps the injured sportsperson recover in the shortest possible span of time with less medication and expense.
Platelet Rich Plasma
This therapy is another much favored by the sportsperson. Clint Cornell PA-C will proudly tell you that Peak Performance Medical has ingeniously designed their own protocols for Platelet Rich Plasma which are far more superior to the standard platelet rich plasma injections administered at other places. Tiger Woods has been successfully treated by this procedure and others too have found fast relief from common sporting injuries such as Achilles Tendonitis, Tennis Elbow, Plantar Fasciitis and knee pain.
For effective health care, it is highly recommended that you become a member at Peak Performance Medical which has offices located throughout Cincinnati.
