cc!leo is so weird and fun to write because i have to capture the spectrum of him impossibly gentle and caring, goofy and nonchalant to make everyone feel better, and INSANELY invested in the prospect of brutally murdering someone all at the same time and writing ch23 really illuminates that for me lmao. like the characters just kind of take me places that i dont expect and apparently the answer to "what happens when you strip leo of all his layers of facade and make him forced to hurt the most important person in his life through horrifying mind control?" in this extremely specific instance was uhhhh. Bloodthirsty! apparently
he's so funny to me like bro can you CHILL
#personal#canary continuity#i think the difference between the way he treats his family and everyone else in his life is going to be. Stark. for a long time#considering how pressed he is about the topic of witch town? i could see him in particular developing some paranoia#and hypervigilance#ESPECIALLY whenever they're in the hidden city#like i could all see them worrying about donnie almost to an unhealthy extent but like#there's a non-zero possibility of leo having a paranoia spiral about something like this. he feels like he cant trust ANYONE#except for the people he already knows#not when they dont know who did this all in the first place. he's going to feel like there's more danger waiting for them for. a while#yk i could also see this getting even worse after the invasion !#usually people give a role like this to donnie so im being PROGRESSIVE!!!!#CL showed that leo has a lot of villain potential but like... ngl CW kind of does too#its fun to explore a darker side to him tbh#and i think it is VERY funny how night and day the difference is with how he interacts with donnie#literally the most gentle kind consoling person on the planet lmfao#like with raph a lot of his volence and aggression is very. unplanned. especially in the future#its a panic response above all else. all he can think about is protecting them. he's not really making those choices in his right mind#BUT LEO WILL LOL considering how he's been talking about kitsune??? WOOF#he can be your angle.... or your devil...........#put him in front of his CL self and he would rip his throat out with his teeth im not even joking

the arrangement. [part 2] l General Marcus Acacius
Tumblr media
[PART 1]
Summary:  you have to ask General Acacius for help and you know that only one thing can convince him
Warnings: +18, smut, unprotected sex (don't do that), breeding kink, mentions of death and blood, a bit of sadness
A/N: i didn't plan a part two, but - here it is! if i disappointed anyone's expectations, i apologize. here i tag people who requested it @hidden-poet @stormseyer . have mercy on me.
Crowds of people looking for good entertainment gathered in the coliseum that hot day. You never liked this place, but your position obliged you to appear there, especially when you were invited by prominent people of Rome. It was the same this time.
You hadn't spoken to Marcus since your last meeting a few days earlier. You carried out his orders as he asked you to. Despite the pain, you appeared in the city, you also received a few guests, no one guessed that your heart was shaking. You also didn't meet General Acacius anywhere. You couldn't and didn't want to expose him to any consequences if it turned out that the Emperor would also look at you unfavorably.
"Lady Y/N, I’m delighted to see you here." the voice of one of the senators tore you from your thoughts.
"The pleasure is mine, Senator." you replied, nodding your head slightly. "Wonderful weather for the games, don't you think?"
"Wine, food and beautiful company are enough for me, games are an addition and a whim of the Emperor." the man laughed "I was hoping to see you here. The latest rumors about your... ekhm... slave. Outrageous."
"Thank you. Fortunately, the law is clear."
"Right, right!" the senator took a sip of wine. "Each of us should know our place."
"Wise words, Senator."
The lodge was filling up with more guests invited by the Emperor. More greetings and smiles, the clinking of goblets and laughter. Excitement was reaching its zenith.
"General Acacius!"
A nervous shiver ran through your body, but you decided to only cast a quick glance at the man who had joined the guests. Dressed in white and gold, his skin touched by the sun, his dark hair with a few silver strands gleamed in the rays of the sun. General Marcus Acacius looked like one of the gods' favorites.
Only the appearance of the Emperor with his closest entourage tore the group of people who were delighted with him away from him.
"Lady Y/N."
His warm, quiet voice touched you gently like a pleasant evening wind.
"General." You curtsied slightly to pay him respect.
Your gazes met, and his slight movement of the head gave you more answers than all the words he had spoken could. In one moment, you ran out of breath, and your eyes stung from the tears filling them.
"Don't show it. They're watching." Marcus said, standing so close to you to shield you from prying eyes for a moment, his hand lightly grabbed your arm, this gesture was the only tenderness he could afford in that situation.
It was the first time he had seen you so broken and his heart couldn't bear it. He wanted to take you in his arms, let you hide in his embrace and protect you from all this evil and despair.
However, all he could do was give you a few moments to put yourself back together and show an unwavering face again. But not a single tear scratched your cheek.
"I am grateful to the Gods for seeing you healthy and strong."
Although Marcus could hear a slight tremor in your voice, the people around you couldn't do that.
"Your words, my lady, are the greatest grace." He replied, taking your hand in his and kissing the back of it tenderly. "I’m grateful that I can feast my eyes on your sight today."
He saw you part your lips to say something, but the sound of trumpets tore you away. The show had begun, and Marcus could only pray that you would hold on.
His dark eyes were on you almost the entire time. He could see you clearly, you were like a statue of a goddess in one of the temples. Unwavering, strong, with a mysterious smile that appeared on your lips whenever one of the guests spoke to you. Only once did he see a crack in that wonderful facade—when Margo appeared in the arena and her spirit left her body—Marcus thought you were going to faint, but you didn't take your eyes off the bloody sand of the coliseum.
As guests and spectators began to leave the coliseum, he stood by your side again.
"My lady, do you have someone who could take you home safely?" You seemed distracted to him, and your gaze was absent. "Let me take you to my place. I don't want you to be alone."
"General... Marcus..." his name on your lips sounded like the sweetest melody to him. "Thank you, but I can't..."
"Don't make me beg you here," he whispered. "Please."
After a moment of thought, you nodded and let him lead you to the exit.
General Acacius's house was a quiet and peaceful place. The evening air was cooler and a pleasant gentle breeze blew through the open shutters, filling the rooms.
Marcus made sure that the servants prepared a bath for you and didn't bother you even when you dismissed the women accompanying you to be alone. This was your time, and he wanted to give you as much of it as you needed.
"Marcus..."
He looked up and saw you standing in the doorway of his chamber.
A silk robe gently wrapped around your still damp body. Your gaze was full of pain, but you looked at him gently.
"Y/N, please." he began, approaching you. "I beg your forgiveness, I couldn't do anything. I tried to talk to the Emperor, but I couldn't do anything. He didn't care about her, and our involvement..."
"Shhh..." your delicate hand tenderly stroked his rough cheek. "I have to thank you, Marcus. For everything you..."
"I didn't do anything! I couldn't!" he interrupted you sharply.
"But you tried. I believe in it. I couldn't demand it of you. I don't know what I was thinking, asking you to risk so much for me..."
"I would give my life for you, you know that."
Your hand slid down his neck and rested on his chest. You felt his heart beating hard, his chest heaving with each breath.
"I know Margo was reconciled with her fate. I could feel it looking at her. She was strong, but calm." your voice was calm "Maybe you won't understand this, but she was my best friend. For years. She was devoted and loyal to me. I just wish she didn't suffer."
"Death came for her quickly. Now she's calm and safe."
"Thank you, Marcus."
His hands stroked your shoulders, and his lips kissed your temples lightly. His closeness seemed as natural to you as never before.
"Stay here tonight. I don't want you to be alone with all this." He said, and when you opened your mouth to say something, he added "I know you can, you're a strong woman, but today you don't have to be like that. Let me take care of you."
His eyes were so sweetly apologetic, you knew he would take on everything you felt just to make you feel better.
"You can take my chambers. You'll find comfort worthy of a queen there."
"Marcus..."
"I won't even touch you with a finger. You're safe with me."
"I know."
You trusted Marcus completely. Even when he walked you to his chambers, he didn't insist, nor did he make any move to suggest that he wanted to go there with you. It was you who, before leaving, kissed his lips gently. No words. They weren't needed.
But sleep wasn't a pleasant escape. The minutes passed, and you still felt wide awake. You weren't sure if you had slept for even a few moments. The house was quiet, only the cicadas in the garden keeping you company during the next few sleepless minutes.
No one heard your footsteps. You quietly left the bedroom and made your way through the darkened corridors to the room where Marcus slept that night. The door opened and you slipped inside.
The room was a bit smaller than the bedroom Marcus left you in, but you could smell the same pleasant scent of jasmine and burning candles that brightened the interior. You saw him sitting in an armchair with the shutters open. You thought he was dozing, but when your hand slipped into his tousled hair he stirred restlessly.
"Have mercy on me." he whispered, turning slightly and spotting you behind him. "You would be the perfect assassin, sneaking up on me so silently."
"Is that a compliment?" you asked, a faint smile appearing on your lips.
"I'm completely defenseless around you, so yes, it's a compliment." he replied. "You can't sleep. Me too."
"This house is so quiet and peaceful." you sighed quietly as he took your hand and touched it with his lips, standing up. "I feel like I don't know the words to thank you for what you did for me, then and now."
"I didn't do anything, Y/N."
"You were my rock, Marcus. That's more than anyone else has done."
"But I couldn't save you from the pain."
"Can either of us do that?"
He stared at you intently. His eyes were full of sadness and tenderness. Maybe that night gave you courage, maybe what Marcus did made your heart open to him. But you felt so safe with him that you wanted to be even closer to this man.
You didn't push away his hand that stroked your cheek. It was a relief for his heart.
"I'm ready to fulfill my promise, Marcus." You said calmly. "I'll stay with you in this house, we'll fill its quiet rooms with the laughter of children."
"Don't say that if you don't mean it." He replied, taking your face in his hands. "I couldn't do anything against your will."
"But it's my will, it's what I want. My heart has always been yours, but I was afraid."
"What were you afraid of, love?"
"War. Death. Enslavement. You were the image of all of this." He closed his eyes, probably guessing it. "So I was unavailable to you. I wanted to get rid of this feeling, but you never made it easy for me. You were my daily fear and night dream. Everything I feared and desired. I was sure that you only desired my body..."
"I don't deserve you. I don't deserve even one of your glances, love."
"So why am I here? This is what I wanted. I want you."
You took his hand and slid it down to your chest. Only a thin layer of silk that separated his hand from your soft and delicate breast. When he squeezed it lightly and saw how you parted your lips, he was sure that grace had descended on him.
His lips collided with yours in a kiss, and his warm tongue slipped between your lips, caressing you tenderly. He absorbed you with his presence, and you submitted to him humbly. You clung to his strong body, feeling his desire grow.
The silk robe that wrapped around your body slid to the floor. You stood naked before him, his eyes adoring you.
"You'll make me the happiest man in the world by letting me love you." he whispered.
"I allow you, Marcus."
In an instant his lips were on yours again, kissing you passionately and hard, and before you knew it you were already in his strong arms as he lifted you up and carried you towards the bed.
You felt the cool sheets beneath you, and then your eyes stopped at Marcus. He took off his toga. His body looked like it was created by hands and in the likeness of gods. Broad shoulders, narrow waist. You noticed a few scars on his skin, but they didn't destroy his image. And finally his hard cock, so ready for you.
He covered you with his body, his lips roamed over your stomach and chest, showering your body with kisses. Warm lips found your nipple and closed on it, you felt his tongue teasing you sweetly. Your body arched, and Marcus' strong arm slid under you and you knew you wouldn't get out of this delicious trap.
The tip of his cock teased your entrance, and you felt yourself getting wetter with each of his movements.
"Tell me you want me, please." he whispered, kissing your neck. "I'm begging you."
"I want you, Marcus. I need you more than air. Make me yours."
He groaned painfully, kissing your lips. Strong hands gripped your hips to position you the way he wanted you.
His tip slowly slid into you, filling you completely. You caught your breath, trying to get used to the feeling of Marcus being inside you. He must have felt the same, because you could hear his slow breathing as he buried his face in your hair.
"It's wonderful to feel you." he whispered, looking at you, his eyes as dark as ever before. "I've wanted you for so long."
"And you have me."
One strong movement of his hips, a quiet moan escaped your lips. Gods, he would give his life for that. He began to move faster, more rhythmically, feeling your pussy take all of him. He tightened his grip on your thigh, afraid that he would hurt you, but you didn't even flinch. Your fingers intertwined in his hair, pulling him closer, kissing him like you needed him to be able to breathe, and with each thrust he heard those sweet sighs escaping your throat.
He felt like a barbarian destroying something as beautiful and sacred as you. But you wanted him. He felt it in your every move, saw it in your every look. You wanted him.
"Marcus, please..."
Your velvet walls squeezed his cock harder and harder, and he knew he wouldn't last long. He'd wanted you for so long. But he wanted to see it. A few more hard thrusts and he saw your body arch in the rush of pleasure flooding your body. Your nails dug into his shoulders, and you bit your lip, feeling like you were about to fall apart. But his arms held you tight and steady. You were safe.
And Marcus didn't slow down. The way you squeezed his cock made him closer, and his movements were faster and harder now. You could feel his sweaty body against you, his quickened breath.
"Fill me, Marcus... Let me carry your child." You whispered in his ear.
He came with a loud groan, digging his fingers into your thighs so hard that you were sure you'd see bruises there the next day. Warm streams filled you to the brim.
Marcus made you his. He filled you with his seed, you'd be full of his child. If not now then soon, you were sure of it.
"Tell me you're not just a beautiful dream."
His rough voice brought you back to his arms. You looked at Marcus, his eyes full of adoration for you. He looked so vulnerable that you began to understand what he meant by calling you the perfect assassin.
Even though you were the one who promised him your devotion and loyalty, you were both on the same page.
"What if I was just a dream?" you asked, stroking his cheek tenderly, his cock was still inside you, you could stay like that all night.
"I don't want to wake up then." he replied "I don't want to see another sunrise knowing I can't have you. That would be torture."
"I wish we could stay like this forever. I feel your love and it fills my heart too." You saw his gentle smile "Let's take what fate has given us, maybe we shouldn't doubt anymore."
"So you'll stay?"
"I will. I'll be proud to be your wife, General Acacius."
"You'll be so much more." His lips brushed yours in a tender kiss "My queen, my goddess. I will worship you until the end of my days."
And you knew he wasn't lying. General Marcus Acacius was a man of honor.
And he was yours.
Forever.
☆☆☆
Thank you for your time.

Rotg world building — Thoughts and theories
This was originally just going to be a reblog to THIS post but then I ended up going down a rabbit hole of my thoughts and opinions, so it became too annoyingly long for peoples/my preference.
Most of the post really expresses how I've always viewed the world of spirits in Rotg. The only thoughts I'm not really a fan of is the idea of some spirits not having physical forms and just being like big storms. Because what's the point of humanoid spirits being invisible to humans if they have no physical forms to other spirits as well?
I never saw Jack talking to the wind as the wind being an active spirit, I saw it as him just being so lonely he'd pretend the wind was alive to not feel so alone. After all, he only addressed the wind 1 time, if it were an actual being I feel like it'd be addressed more than once. Especially when Jack needed to get out of Antarctica: why would he need to fix his staff to fly out if the wind could've just picked him up, unless he was the one making the wind? And like the post linked above said, the comics are unofficial. They're cool and I love them but they're not canon.
I do love the idea of their being 2 generations of spirits. Pre-MiM and post-MiM where the legends of Gods and myths are tales of the original spirits mistaken for higher deities and distorted over time. After all MiM wasn't always there (at least in the books) so how were their seasons/seasonal spirits on earth before him unless they were just natural to earth?
Plus it's made apparent through Sandy's death in Rotg that spirits are not 100% immortal, just non-aging. I think there is an open window for spirits to come back like Sandy did, if an influx of enough people believe, Tinkerbell style. But after maybe a year or so, that window is closed, that spirit is full on dead and that spirit needs to be replaced to keep the world in balance. So there could've been hundreds of spirits that have been lost but then replaced by MiM. I also think only magic can kill spirits, since Jack managed to fall from like 300+ feet in the final battle and walk it off without so much as a limp. Like, it still hurt, he clearly felt the pain, but he could still run, jump, throw hands and everything. He only groaned like he tripped down a small set of stairs.
Guardians are the only ones who could die without belief due to the vow they take. I feel like that vow tying their lives to belief could've actively been like an insurance policy to insure that the Guardians stay true and keep doing their jobs to fulfill childhood. It may be controlling and borderline manipulative for MiM to make them do that but I'm sure we're all in agreement that he is pretty gray as a character in the movie when you really think about it. And I could even see where he's coming from with this idea. After all, who knows how many spirits he may have made thinking they were good people, only for them to go dark and become evil. I'm sure MiM would hold a lot of guilt whenever those bad spirits hurt others or even feel at fault for making these decent people, eventual villains. Besides the Guardians know they could die if they lose belief when they make the vow, so it's not like MiM tricked them, that's consented. The Guardians just forgot to tell Jack that.
Now, I always saw "Spirit Society" as all spirits know of each other and word always gets around when new ones are made. I don't think there's a hidden city or village (other than maybe Santoff Clausen if it's even still around. And only for some of them, it wouldn't be big enough for all spirits in my mind) but rather they make homes for themselves and just cross paths with each other all the time. Kinda like the countryside; everyone's homes are far apart, but you still see each other in stores or at work.
I'm not quite sure how the news and knowledge would spread between spirits so often unless they were either all huge gossips or had yearly meets or something. But you know what, I'd be willing to bet that there are a few "messenger" spirits similar to Hermes in Greek myth, that just fly everywhere, spreading word for other spirits to make sure everyone is in the loop.
In my mind, Bunny's aggression early in the movie was meant to kinda show how most spirits saw Jack. After all, he's the only one who didn't feel like he'd be super recluse due to his job as he's the only one who doesn't work all year-round.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unless he's a complete hermit, what is he doing for the rest of the year other than going out and hanging with other spirits?
I think most spirits hate Jack for being a troublemaking spirit that honed the deadliest season. That could just be my angst fanfic brain making things up but why else would Jack be so desperate to look towards humans to connect with unless he has tried with other spirits who could see him and was only met with backlash?
'Cause I have seen a few people complain that the ending of the movie contradicted Jack's arc of wanting to be seen only to leave the few believers he'd finally made. But that was never the point. He has what I like to call a fake-out arc; where it's said he wants one thing but his actual goal is different. He asks why he can't be seen, he tries his best to get people to believe in him, but he's doing it in an effort to find a family.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He mentions how no one can see him but he's more devastated over why he was left alone. That's his main question in this scene. He doesn't outwardly ask why he's alone specifically, but asking MiM "why" just after he was looking so longingly at Jamie's family is clearly meant to insinuate that that is what he really wants. He may even be telling himself it's just to be seen because he's been alone for so long that he just wants the bare fucking minimum. That's why the end of Rotg is still satisfying despite leaving his new believers, because being seen was never truly the end goal, it was finding a family and he finally found that in the other Guardians.
He clearly believed that he couldn't be accepted by other spirits, so he looked to humans to find that connection and getting to be seen by them was just a first step towards that goal.
It's the same thing in Tangled (because I have encountered someone who thought Rapunzel was one-dimensional for just wanting to see lights 😮‍💨) Rapunzel sang and always told Gothel + Eugene that she just wanted to see the floating lights, but the moment she steps out of her tower she starts singing in exhilaration about how she can finally go running, dancing, jumping and splashing. She never even mentions the lights. It had nothing to really do with the lights, she just wanted to leave her tower and explore the world. Seeing the lanterns was just her externalized and internalized excuse because she wanted to feel less awful for going against her 'mother'. Her wanting to explore the world was then more blatantly explored in Tangled the Series.
Edit: Pitch even straight up mentions about longing for a family when trying to sympathize with Jack and it's that very line that makes Jack lower is guard. Not the line about not being believed in, longing for a family. Jack even looks super sympathetic for him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After Pitch killed Sandy, after witnessing first hand the belief fading from all the kids around the world and being framed for Easter's failure, possibly ruining Jack's relationship with the Guardians, Jack still feels bad for Pitch in this moment. That's why Jack lets Pitch say his piece in this scene despite knowing that he was never going to join him (you can tell he was never buying into Pitch's words and Jack didn't hesitate to refuse). He was even willing to try and just walk away after refusing his offer rather than keep fighting. Because he understands that desperation of wanting to be loved by just being seen and/or heard.
That's part of what makes him such a good layered character: the fact that he always used mischief in an effort to try and be seen, similar to when kids act out to get their parents attention. It leads the other spirits to think that he's nothing more than a troublemaker (and even audience as well, the amount of mis-characterization I've seen people make of Jack, istg) when in reality he's actually a very respectful, emotional, sweet and even responsible person that does know when to stop being silly. Jack never played around when actual danger came around, the only time he did was a single quip to Sandy because he was nervous and in the final battle when he realized being funny takes away Pitch's control.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And even then it was brief, after the kids started turning the sand gold again, Jack went right back into serious battle mode.
Kinda shows how not really mischievous Jack truly is when it takes him so long to realize that being fun can weaken Pitch. Because he's not really a trickster, he doesn't even really pull any pranks, he's just playful. But he had been cranking that up to 11 for the past 300 years in an effort to be seen, he inadvertently kept deterring other spirits away, who may had already not liked him just for being an ice based spirit. After all, whenever Bunny wanted to take a stab at Jack it was either at his invisibility or for his ice. Granted that could just be because Bunny himself just doesn't like the cold or even strictly because Jack made that blizzard on Easter but then again, we never got to see that for ourselves. We don't know if Jack even did that on purpose or not.
Last note; I don't think any other spirits died to become spirits like Jack did. It's my personal headcanon that the reason Jack couldn't remember his past is because he's the only one who had actively died before MiM got the chance to turn him. Though for all we know there could be a few others who also forgot their pasts. If there are, Jack clearly never got the chance to ask.
The way this kinda diverged into a mini Jack Frost character analysis though 😅

Hii! Could I request a pre-hextech!jayce×magician!reader.
The reader is a famous traveling magician that does incredible tricks and jayce sees one of their shows and he thinks that the reader has actual magical powers of some kind. Whenever he talks about readers magical powers everyone ridicules him because everyone "knows" that all tricks are just a sleight of hand.
He basically beggs reader to help him create magic but reader turns him down because "it's all just a trick", but the reader has actual powers and is just trying to keep it a secret because they don't know if they can trust him. Jayce's dream gets crushed once again, and he feels stupid for believing in magic. And then somehow he finds out the truth and idk what after that...
I've been thinking about it for a long time and i just know it would be incredible if you wrote it (even if its literally like 15 words)❤️❤️❤️

Jayce had always been a man driven by curiosity, relentlessly pursuing answers others dismissed as impossible dreams. From the earliest days of his youth, Jayce spent countless hours buried in books and experiments, always chasing theories and ideas far beyond the understanding of most Piltover citizens. While others dismissed his quest for something as elusive as magic, Jayce remained unwavering, convinced there was more hidden beneath the fabric of reality.
Thus, when whispers of your traveling magic show began circulating throughout Runeterra, his interest was immediately piqued. Tales of your breath-taking performances and impossible illusions filled taverns and market squares, painting you as an enigmatic figure capable of feats no ordinary magician could achieve. Despite skeptical warnings from friends and colleagues, Jayce felt an irresistible pull to witness your abilities first-hand.
Your arrival in Piltover drew massive crowds, citizens eagerly filling the city square beneath twinkling lanterns that cast a soft, warm glow on the gathered faces. Jayce stood among them, his heart pounding with anticipation. He watched carefully as you appeared on stage, your presence commanding instant attention, your eyes sparkling with a knowing, mysterious charm.
With a flick of your wrist, flames burst forth from nothingness, spiralling gracefully through the air as though alive. Jayce watched every movement of your fingers, meticulously studying each subtle gesture, each elegant wave. Yet, no matter how hard he analysed, he could see no flaw, no deception, only something undeniably genuine and powerful.
His mind raced, excitement surging through him like electricity. Could this be it? The magic he had spent his life searching for?
Determined and inspired, Jayce waited anxiously after the crowd dispersed, his heart still racing from the awe of your performance. He stepped forward carefully, his voice trembling slightly, yet filled with earnest sincerity as he locked eyes with you.
"Please," he began softly, his tone urgent and hopeful, "teach me how you do it. Together, we can harness this magic and change the world!"
You hesitated, your smile faltering slightly as memories of persecution and fear flashed vividly before your eyes. For centuries, your kind had been hunted, misunderstood, and feared. Sharing your secret, especially with someone so driven, felt tempting but dangerous. You carefully maintained your composure, hiding the turmoil inside behind a gentle smile.
"You're mistaken, Jayce," you replied quietly, your voice gentle yet firm, though your heart ached at the lie. "They're just tricks—clever distractions, nothing more. You see what you want to see"
Jayce blinked, startled by the familiarity with which you'd spoken his name. He hesitated for a moment, surprise flickering in his eyes. "How do you know my name?"
You felt your heartbeat quicken momentarily but managed to mask it with practiced ease. A playful smile appeared on your lips, a slight twinkle entering your eyes as you replied enigmatically, "A magician never reveals their secrets."
He hesitated, visibly taken aback by your cryptic response, the uncertainty clearly written in his expression. Yet, before he could press you further, you turned away, gathering your belongings with practiced haste, hoping he wouldn't insist upon delving deeper into the truth.
Jayce stood rooted to the spot, his mind racing with questions he knew you wouldn't answer tonight. Yet your secretive acknowledgment only fuelled his curiosity further, intensifying his resolve to uncover the truth behind your magic, despite the growing scepticism of those around him.
Jayce’s fascination did not go unnoticed. Soon, word of his belief in your "real magic" began to circulate among his colleagues in Piltover. Initial whispers quickly evolved into mocking laughter, with Jayce quietly bearing their scepticism and ridicule. Friends voiced gentle concerns, warning him of the potential damage his pursuit might bring to his promising career and reputation.
Yet even as the pressure mounted and scepticism closed in around him, Jayce refused to relent. Determined to find the truth, he meticulously documented every moment of your performances, searching obsessively for even the slightest hint of trickery or deceit. Each page of his notebook became filled with detailed sketches, observations, and theories. Driven by an insatiable hunger for answers, Jayce found himself diving deeper into research, convinced that your magic was no mere illusion, but something genuinely extraordinary.

Days turned into weeks, and Jayce's fascination evolved into a quiet obsession, carefully hidden from the world. Each evening found him discreetly tucked into shadowy corners of your traveling performances, notebook always open on his lap, eyes sharp with analytical intensity. Meticulously, he dissected every movement, every gesture you made, scribbling detailed notes and sketches, desperate to unravel the secrets behind your flawless illusions. Yet night after night, he remained no closer to answers, instead falling deeper into the captivating mystery that was you.
Your performances never ceased to astonish him. Flames spiralled gracefully from your fingertips, water appeared effortlessly from empty palms, shadows danced obediently to your subtle commands. Jayce's sharp mind, despite its intellectual rigor, struggled to find any flaw, any hidden trickery in your act. The precision, the beauty—it was all too perfect, too enchantingly genuine to dismiss as mere illusion.
=
One evening, after a particularly mesmerizing show, Jayce lingered longer than usual, hidden in the dimly lit alley beside your makeshift stage. He stared at the notes he'd written, brow furrowed in deep concentration, unaware of your quiet approach.
"Still searching for answers?" your voice gently broke the silence, causing him to jump slightly in surprise.
Jayce turned quickly, heart racing at the unexpected confrontation. "I—I wasn't expecting—"
You tilted your head slightly, an amused yet gentle smile playing on your lips. "Yet you come every night, notebook in hand. You study my every move, and yet you've never once approached me again. Why, Jayce?"
He hesitated, momentarily lost for words, his mind scrambling to find the right explanation. "I didn't think you'd want to see me," he admitted quietly, voice tinged with a rare vulnerability. "Not after the last time—after I questioned you."
You softened visibly, stepping closer, curiosity and a trace of compassion flickering across your expression. "And yet you haven't given up. Most would have dismissed it as tricks and illusions by now."
Jayce met your gaze steadily, sincerity shining through his hesitation. "Because it's not an illusion. It's something else—something extraordinary. And I can't let go of it."
Your smile grew gentle, your voice softening. "Perhaps you're right," you whispered cautiously, "but even extraordinary things come with risks. Are you sure you're prepared for that?"
Jayce straightened, conviction firming in his eyes. "I'm ready. Whatever it takes."
A quiet pause settled between you, heavy with meaning. "Then keep watching, Jayce," you replied softly, turning to leave. "But remember, the closer you come to the truth, the more you risk losing yourself."
With that cryptic warning lingering in the air, you vanished into the shadows, leaving Jayce more determined—and entranced—than ever.
=
Over time, his notebook grew thick with meticulously detailed sketches, intricate diagrams, and feverishly scrawled observations. He recorded subtle shifts in your posture, the particular elegance of your hand movements, and those lingering glances that often seemed to meet his own gaze for a fraction longer than coincidence would allow. Yet despite his rigorous notes and tireless analysis, your secrets remained elusive.
He sensed you knew he was there, that you were somehow aware of his silent observations. Your gaze often found him deliberately in the crowd, meeting his eyes from across bustling squares with a knowing, enigmatic smile. It sent his pulse racing, further fuelling his theories and deepening the unspoken connection he imagined between observer and performer.
=
In another city, after yet another flawless performance, you briefly paused near Jayce's shadowed spot, voice low yet clear enough for him alone to hear, "Careful, Jayce. Curiosity killed the cat."
"I'm willing to accept that risk," he replied softly, intensity burning in his eyes. "I have to understand this—understand you."
You tilted your head thoughtfully, your voice tinged with melancholy. "Understanding might come at a cost greater than you're willing to pay."
Jayce straightened, resolve unwavering. "Then it's a cost I'm prepared to accept."
Your eyes lingered on him, the silent, gentle challenge clear in your gaze. "Very well," you whispered finally, turning away once more. "Then keep watching—and perhaps, in time, you'll find what you seek."
Though his pursuit remained hidden from the world, the weight of secrecy and isolation gradually took its toll. Jayce's world narrowed, revolving solely around the enigmatic performer who had unwittingly captured his imagination and driven him to the brink of obsession. Yet even in the secrecy and solitude of his quest, Jayce was certain: what he saw was no illusion, but something beyond comprehension—genuine, powerful, and utterly mesmerizing. More than answers, he longed for understanding, connection, and acknowledgment from you, the keeper of a secret he was desperate to unravel.
Tumblr media
Then, late one moonlit evening, driven by an overwhelming restlessness and an unrelenting yearning for answers, Jayce found himself wandering through Piltover's quiet, shadow-woven streets. The usually vibrant avenues were now serene beneath the silvery caress of moonlight, their emptiness amplifying the turmoil within him. Each step resonated quietly against the cobblestones, echoing softly in the heavy silence that blanketed the sleeping city. In his hands was the familiar weight of his notebook, worn from nights spent feverishly searching for answers, the pages thick with meticulous sketches, notes, and unanswered questions.
A subtle flicker of movement caught his eye, and his gaze instinctively lifted toward a secluded rooftop, almost hidden from view. His heart quickened with curiosity, an inexplicable pull guiding him as he quietly made his way upward, driven forward by a quiet, hopeful urgency.
Reaching the rooftop, Jayce froze, utterly transfixed by what he saw. There you stood, illuminated softly in the ethereal silver glow of the moon, wholly unaware of his presence. Around you, a luminous, iridescent aura shimmered faintly, threads of silvery light flowing effortlessly between your fingertips. Shadows danced gracefully around your form, swirling obediently in intricate patterns at your silent command, a harmonious symphony of gentle darkness and radiant brilliance.
Jayce's breath hitched, awe and wonder flooding through him in equal measure. Every theory, every secret belief, every whispered suspicion he'd quietly nurtured was now beautifully, irrefutably confirmed. There was no illusion here, no clever trick or deception—this was pure, undeniable magic. Beautiful, captivating, and breathtakingly real.
"It is real," Jayce whispered reverently, stepping softly from the shadows. His voice carried gently into the silence, careful not to disrupt the enchanting spell of the moment.
Startled, you turned sharply, the delicate balance of your concentration shattered instantly. The magic dissolved in a heartbeat, the dancing ribbons of light fading swiftly into nothingness. Moonlight alone now illuminated your wary features, eyes wide with panic as memories of betrayal and persecution surged forward. A sharp spike of dread pierced your heart. Being discovered had always brought pain—danger, exile, loss. Yet, despite your initial fear, you did not flee, captivated instead by the gentle sincerity radiating from Jayce’s presence.
"Jayce," you spoke softly, guarded yet curious, your voice scarcely louder than the breeze whispering across the rooftops. "How did you find me here?"
Jayce hesitated a moment, stepping slowly forward, voice gentle yet firm. "I don't quite know myself," he admitted softly, sincerity heavy in his tone. "But I had to understand. All this time, I've watched you from afar, filled with questions, doubts, fears—and now I see I wasn't wrong. Your magic—it's real."
Your chest tightened painfully, instinct demanding caution. Yet beneath that caution stirred a fragile hope, the possibility that perhaps you no longer had to bear this burden alone.
"Jayce," you murmured, eyes softening as you searched his earnest gaze, "magic is more dangerous than you realize. Discovery has always brought pain and exile for people like me. The world doesn't welcome power like this—it fears it."
Jayce slowly approached you, stopping a respectful distance away, his eyes steady and kind. "Maybe it fears magic because no one has ever been brave enough to show its true potential. Maybe people just haven't had the chance to understand. Magic doesn't have to remain hidden forever—we could reveal it safely, harness it responsibly. Together, we could help the world see magic for the wonder it truly is."
Something stirred deep within your heart—a fragile, hopeful trust you'd thought you'd forgotten how to feel. Hesitating briefly, your fingertips reignited gently, shimmering softly with an ethereal glow.
"You truly believe that, don't you?" you asked softly, studying his expression carefully. "That magic and technology can coexist without fear or prejudice?"
Jayce's voice was filled with conviction and quiet strength, his gaze unwavering. "I do. I've dedicated my life to searching for truths hidden just beneath the surface, truths others dismiss. You are that truth—and together, we could show the world."
You stepped closer, finally allowing a gentle smile to cross your lips, though it was tempered with a quiet sadness. Reaching carefully into the folds of your attire, you withdrew a small, intricately carved box adorned with ancient runes glowing gently in the moonlight.
Jayce stared in amazement as you opened the lid slowly, revealing the glowing crystals within—radiant, blue, pulsing faintly, resonating with a quiet yet undeniable power.
"These are hex crystals," you explained quietly, reverence threading through your voice. "The source of my magic, the essence of my abilities. I've guarded them closely, protected their secret fiercely—but perhaps my path is not to hide them away any longer."
You carefully placed the open box into Jayce's trembling hands, your fingers lingering for just a brief moment. Your eyes locked with his, intense with conviction and a bittersweet tenderness.
"I am entrusting you with the future, Jayce," you whispered, voice full of emotion. "These hex crystals hold power both wondrous and perilous. Handle them carefully, wisely, and they may open doors you've only dreamed of. But remember," you cautioned gently, "such power can destroy as easily as it creates. The path ahead is yours alone—I cannot follow."
Jayce’s heart tightened painfully, confusion and surprise flashing across his features. "Wait—you're not coming with me? You're just... leaving?"
Your eyes shimmered with sadness, though determination was strong in your expression. "My journey lies elsewhere, Jayce. I've always walked alone, hiding from the shadows that chased me. Perhaps one day, when you've proven magic's worth to the world, our paths will cross again. But until then, I trust you to guide the way."
Jayce's heart ached fiercely at your words, yet he nodded solemnly, accepting your decision even as a deep sorrow gripped him. "I understand," he breathed softly. "I'll honuor your trust, I swear it. The world will see what magic can truly accomplish."
A gentle, enigmatic smile touched your lips. Slowly, you stepped backward, a calmness settling over your features. Moonlight cascaded softly around you, its silvery touch weaving elegantly through your hair.
"But before you go," Jayce suddenly interjected, confusion etched on his face, his brow furrowing slightly. "Earlier, when we first spoke—when I approached you after the performance—you called me by name. How did you know who I was? We'd never met before."
Your smile widened faintly, eyes sparkling softly as your form began to shimmer faintly at the edges. "A magician never reveals their secrets," you said gently, warmth and gentle amusement lighting your eyes.
As you spoke, your form began to dissolve gracefully, breaking apart into countless ethereal butterflies glowing faintly with radiant blue light. They rose gently into the night air, dancing beautifully on an unseen breeze, spiralling upward toward the stars.
"Farewell, Jayce," your voice whispered softly around him, carried on the delicate whispers of the wind. "Let your heart guide you wisely. And perhaps, one day, fate will bring us together once more."
He watched in silent awe, heart aching yet filled with a newfound resolve, as the luminous butterflies spiralled gracefully toward the heavens, vanishing into the embrace of the starlit sky. Alone beneath the moonlight, Jayce clutched the hex crystals reverently to his chest, keenly aware of the incredible gift you'd bestowed upon him, determined to honour your sacrifice and change the world in your stead.
In that quiet, magical moment, Jayce knew his life had changed forever. Now, armed with knowledge, purpose, and the trust of someone extraordinary, he stood ready to embark upon a path that could forever reshape Piltover.

11, 13, 14....
yay thank you!!
11. Recommend a fic you think is a hidden gem/deserves more reads.
i had to go digging and also think really hard about what counted as a hidden gem but: red delicious
Light takes a bite out of L’s heart.
exactly what it says on the tin. less than 500 words. please read it i <3 cannibalism
-
13. Recommend a fic you've re-read multiple times.
oh GOD i reread most fics multiple times immediately after reading them……… it's part of the digestion process……… shoutout to Give me one good honest kiss (and I'll be alright) because i reread the last chapter whenever i get Sad
He had felt a fascination pulling him towards L since the moment they had met, and whenever he tried to grasp at the reason why, it blurred and fell apart. * Misa has a genius idea to make Light jealous enough to pay her more attention, but it doesn't work in the direction she expected. L has his own ideas, too.
(or: misa sets up a spin the bottle game with L, light, and matsuda. light is normal about it)
-
14. Recommend your favorite fic.
my two favorite death note fics of all time are telltale and THE HIT AND RUN!!!!!
the first:
The night Ryuzaki dies, L appears in Light's bed. -- (every night when light goes to sleep, his dreams place him in a romantic relationship with his newly-dead rival. it makes him sick.)
this one made me realize how much i love conventional romance as horror. it is my favorite thing in the entire world. it's also probably my favorite angle on arc 2 widowed light yagami ever i am deeply obsessed with how much he genuinely doesn't regret killing L but is haunted by him anyway
the second:
Harry hits Light Yagami with his car. (Based on a joke post, taken extremely seriously.)
why is my all time favorite portrayal of L Deathnote in a disco elysium crossover fic.
YOU – "Does the city ever talk to you?" L – "The city? No." INLAND EMPIRE – Wait for it. L – "But I would say cases talk to me. My suspects, especially." INLAND EMPIRE – There it is. He means when they're not in the room. Across the city, or in different ones entirely. ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Easy: Success] – This guy is a freak. You approve enormously.
(sincerely anyone who hasn't read this should do so immediately it is so funny AND manages to make you incredibly sad about everyone surrounding light yagami. light dies of the aforementioned car crash before the fic even begins and it's about the fallout. everything is Wrong. there was a tear in the universe and the story of death note came to an abrupt screeching halt before it could really pick up at all. everyone is having a real normal time about all of this)

Considering how important children are to the Yokai, I wonder if something like magic trackers are allowed.
Why wouldn't they be? It's legal to track your kid. I'm getting mixed results on the legality of implanted GPS chips, that seems to be a legal grey area in a lot of places right now, but there are plenty of other ways to track someone. Idk how normal it is in your country but in the US it is extremely common for parents to track their kid's cell phone and car, or put AirTags in their backpack and shit. This is all perfectly legal.
Not that I think it's a good thing. I've known kids whose parents called them freaking out when their carpool takes a different route to get gas. I've had coworkers who couldn't go to the ice cream place fifty yards away after work without telling their parents because they'd see it on the GPS app and panic. Teenagers can't go hang out with their friends because their parents get nervous seeing their AirTag standing still in a parking lot. I am so freaking glad this wasn't common when I was a teenager. My sister has started sharing her Google Maps drive with our mother whenever she drives somewhere far or even just drives home after visiting. It was supposed to relieve our mother's anxiety, because previously she would be extremely nervous until my sister texted her that she arrived, and if my sister forgot (which happens frequently) she'd have a meltdown. What's actually happened is that my mother is now glued to her phone when my sister goes anywhere and obsesses over any deviation from the route or pause in progress. The first time she started crying hysterically because the GPS showed her car standing still in the middle of the highway for like five minutes. It turned out the program didn't update constantly, especially when service is spotty, so it just showed her last known location for a few minutes until her phone sent a new one. My mother learned nothing from this and still gets upset whenever the GPS app stalls. My sister is 26.
Considering how the Yokai are kind of big on autonomy for kids, I would think it would be a pretty controversial topic for them too. But at least a magical glyph or something would be less invasive, and they could probably set them to expire when a kid reached a certain age. The Hidden City is also pretty safe for kids-Yokai kids, at least-there are no cars, less poverty, the gangs generally don't fuck with kids because that's crossing a line. Stranger kidnappings and trafficking isn't much of a thing because they're such a small society, there's really nowhere they can go. So I think a lot of parents wouldn't see the need.
Draxum would absolutely track his kids, but in his defense he has more justification to than the average parent. If there was a point where it was safe for them to mingle with other kids and be dumbasses together, he would obsessively check their location and restrain himself from calling them, reminding himself over and over that teenagers need freedom to be morons, they're good kids they'll make good decisions, they can't have their dad hovering over them at every moment...

SENSE AND OTHER SPECIFIC HEADCANONS.
Tumblr media
WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE SMELL LIKE ? Bleu de Chanel and Gitanes cigarette smoke.
WHAT DO YOUR MUSE’S HANDS FEEL LIKE ? They're not especially soft, but definitely have a gentler touch than some might imagine. He's used to handling ancient treasures and priceless jewelry pieces — he knows how to treat something delicately. They're callused, too, a side effect of all the climbing up walls and ropes and other rough surfaces he finds himself doing.
WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE USUALLY EAT IN A DAY ? A lot. I've mentioned before that Lupin has an insanely fast metabolism, so he can easily get through six or seven courses in a day. Not all of them are full meals, some being replaced with things like small helpings of bread or nuts, but when he's not actively on a heist he's always got some sort of food within reach (and all of the city's best restaurants earmarked).
DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE A GOOD SINGING VOICE ? Yes, but only because a certain level of (vocal) musical talent has come in useful for some past impersonations. He's not a particularly musical man by nature, so he doesn't make a habit of singing for the fun of it or honing the skill further than what's professionally necessary.
DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE ANY BAD HABITS OR NERVOUS TICKS ? He has a million bad habits. He's a thrill-seeking masochist who's so assured of his own survival that he feels no need to be cautious with his life.
WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE USUALLY LOOK LIKE / WEAR ? If he's out in public (and not disguised), it's a full suit with a brightly-coloured jacket and a different coloured tie. Red is his usual jacket go-to, though he has outfits in every conceivable colour. His shirts are always a solid colour, once again different from his jacket or tie, and his pants are the plainest part of the ensemble. They're usually black or grey or beige, something a little more neutral to balance out everything that's happening on top.
If he's at home, he's not wearing a whole lot. It's not at all uncommon to find him sprawled out across a couch in just his vest and boxers. What's rare, in fact, is seeing him in actual 'casual' clothes, like sweatpants or a hoodie. Those types of items are truly his last resort as far as clothing goes, and really only happen on laundry days when he's exhausted everything else he packed and has no intentions whatsoever of venturing outside.
IS YOUR MUSE AFFECTIONATE ? HOW SO ? Incredibly so, sometimes to the chagrin of those he's being affectionate with. Verbally, physically... Lupin wastes no opportunity to remind his friends just how much he likes their company and assistance. Sure, it's often exaggerated and comes across as more of his usual theatric performance, but that's just a cover to avoid having to be... tender. Emotional heart-to-hearts aren't his thing.
WHAT POSITION DOES YOUR MUSE SLEEP IN ? On his side, with his back facing a wall (or, if he's with someone outside of his close circle, facing them). It comes from a need to protect himself, never leaving his back unguarded or vulnerable unless he's in the company of someone he already trusts completely.
That being said, Lupin is capable of getting rest in just about any position on any sort of surface, so he's been spotted sleeping in all sorts of odd poses. If he's faking sleep, he defaults to facing the ceiling. If he's hungover, he'll often flop forward onto his stomach and smush his face against a pillow/the couch/the floor.
COULD YOU HEAR YOUR MUSE IN THE HALLWAY FROM ANOTHER ROOM ? Yes, but only if he's off-the-clock, as it were, or he's made the deliberate choice to allow himself to be heard*. Phantom thieves didn't earn that title through pure coincidence, after all: Lupin is a master at keeping himself hidden, and that naturally includes being able to control the noise he makes.
*The exception is Zenigata. Zenigata can track him based on aura alone, and simply knows whenever Lupin's nearby regardless of how silent he's being.

The ironic thing about the Archie Adventure adaptation is that its one of the few times they actually HAD to play the game! Sega mandated that the comic actually be an advertisement again, but then didn't actually provide anything for Penders and Bollers to work off of. They were only able to do as much as they did thanks to Spaz, who had already decided to import the game, played through it while taking notes, and rough translated the script before sharing it with the team. This led to improv issues like Tikal having a different design at first, the Black Emerald, Station Square being a hidden city, the Felidae, Gamma not dying, and the servers being seven Chao, but hey, at least they did what they could to represent the story of the game.
It's so funny to me whenever people bring this up as a way of trying to criticize SEGA. "omg they expected Archie to adapt the games, but didn't even provide them with a free copy of the game for free!"
Like wow, yeah, they expected the comic titled Sonic The Hedgehog to actually resemble the video game Sonic The Hedgehog? That thing they were probably assuming the comic was already doing the entire time anyway?
I mean if I was SEGA, I would have figured that the creators behind the comic were ALREADY buying and playing the games? Because they're making a fucking Sonic comic? So when I ask them directly to do that for Sonic Adventure, my thinking would be that I'm asking them to do something that they were already going to do anyway, but just coordinate with the official marketing release schedule in the process.
But when talking about Archie people always bring that up as if it's some kind of unreasonable unfair oppressive demand from SEGA. And all that does from where I'm sitting is expose their bias aka they hate the video games and hate SEGA and are shameless mindless Archie Snapes who's opinion has absolutely no fucking merit whatsoever.
It's also a completely ridiculous story because they could have just said no. Like, what was SEGA gonna do? Cancel the licensing agreement? Nothing was stopping them from just not doing it. Why are they acting like SEGA had a gun to Ken Penders underage lover's head threatening to pull the trigger unless they did the comic storyline?
It's just so funny to me because every time people bring up that incredibly bias anecdote as a transparent attempt to slander SEGA/Sonic Team and rustle up sympathy for the poor widdle Archie writers, my reacting is always "wow, the writers of Archie were a bunch of fucking douchebags." Like I'm sorry but how do you hear that story and come away from it NOT thinking that the Archie comic writers aren't a bunch of spoiled fucking brats?
News flash dickheads, SONIC DOESN'T FUCKING BELONG TO YOU. This comic exists AT ALL by the good grace of the people who ACTUALLY OWN the property you're writing for. The fact that said owners were hoping for a bit of cross media promotional marketing for their flagship game for their brand new hardware that they sunk a LOT of money into (look up that story about the SEGA executive who basically killed himself to get the Dreamcast out the door if you want to cry) is PRETTY FUCKING REASONABLE from where I'm sitting especially considering THAT'S WHAT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING WITH THIS STUPID FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT COMIC IN THE GOD DAMN FIRST PLACE!
Holy FUCK I fucking hate Archie Sonic and I hate everyone who fucking likes that piece of shit comic even more.

what sorta games would the fpk family play? together or separate, digital or physical
I'll answer the last part first since it relates to all of them. I tend to place the modern AU somewhere in the early 2000s, so during the time physical games were still dominant. Though I won't limit the game choices to that era, so I suppose we can assume that all those games I'm going to mention released way earlier than they did. Or just not think too much about it hahaha
And they very often play together, they'd have a Minecraft server for sure. They also often play in pairs. Vyrm and Grimm play co-op games, with Grimm doing most of the work and Vyrm fumbling and feeling a little embarrassed about it. Holly and Zote play sometimes, though Zote also joins Hornet as well. And Vyrm also likes to join Holly whenever they're playing their relaxing games, if there's co-op available.
---
Vyrm - he's not much of a gamer, I don't think it's his first choice when it comes to free time, at least. Well, unless he gets into a game that really sparks his interest, then he won't leave it for hours. Minecraft is a big one (particularly the redstone mechanics), though I imagine he would be a big fan of Cities Skylines or any similar game. He'd also enjoy simulator games. His ideal game is something he can play to sit back and relax, while also getting his brain cogs into motion. He wouldn't like mechanically challenging games, and if he ever plays an action game of anything of that sort, he's going to choose the easiest difficulty, and usually ask Grimm for help with all the quests that he struggles with. As for whether he prefers to play together or alone, I think he gravitates towards playing with his family whenever possible, though he definitely has moments where he wants to be left by himself so he can focus, especially with something like a city builder.
Grimm - he likes reading and so I think he'd enjoy story-driven games, especially those which let you affect the course of events, he'd love messing with it to see how far he can push the limits of the system (and how much chaos he can cause). Aside from that, he shares Vyrm's love for Minecraft, though he's more of a builder - he can make some very impressive builds, he has the eye for details and unconventional solutions that push the game's simplicity. Whenever they play together, he loves making Vyrm's redstone farms look pretty from the outside. Speaking of building, he also loves the build-buy mode in The Sims games - he's the type to spend hours making beautiful houses and then not move anyone in.
Hornet - she's the competitive gamer for sure, and quite a toxic one as well since she gets angry easily. FPS games are her favorite, and despite her tendency to do things by herself, she plays a lot of team-based games (and gets into shouting matches if she's on a losing streak). I think she also enjoys very difficult games, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, anything else of the sort. That said, she's not opposed to more relaxing experiences, like The Elder Scrolls games, of Minecraft with the family. In those cases, however, she tends to be the type of player to play it in the most efficient way and constantly look for challenges. Though very occasionally she stops to for a while to admire the view or enjoy the music, showing that despite how moody she might seem on the outside, there is some softness hidden in there.
Holly - definitely the chill and relax type of player, even more so than their father. Similarly to him, they don't have the best gaming skills, and the tend to gravitate towards the relaxing experiences, especially those based on routines. They're the one to have a little farm in Minecraft and spend the whole time tending to it instead of progressing. Stardew Valley, Paleo Pines, Animal Crossing - those are some of their favorite games. As long as they can sit down and have a relaxing time while also taking care of a little farm and cute animals, they will enjoy it. Anything more fast-paced and chaotic often becomes overwhelming to them, though they don't mind watching others play.
Zote - he plays competitive games just like Hornet (they sometimes even play together, though that usually ends with them arguing and blaming one another). He's not good at them but I suppose the determination is somewhat admirable. Despite acting like he's already a pro, he does secretly look at guides and such to improve, if only to beat Hornet and show her that he's better than her. He doesn't have the patience for relaxing games, though he often plays with Holly. For example, if they play Stardew Valley together, while Holly tends to the farm and makes friends with the NPCs, Zote goes to the caves and gets himself killed over and over before eventually ragequitting. But he does come back eventually, so there's that.
Lewk - he's a big fan of Minecraft, he also loves games like Spore. In Spore, he'd play the most peaceful creature almost every time, he really enjoys those little minigames that let you befriend other creatures. He doesn't quite understand the stages after the creature stage, though, they're too complicated for him at this age. He's a little too young to really comprehend most games so most of the time he watches the other family memberd play. Grimm often lets him sit on his lap and play whatever he's playing for a while, even if it gets him killed over and over in the game. Vyrm shows him various redstone contraptions or the cities he built, which Lewk finds very entertaining. Holly shows him their farms and lets him pick things to buy and name their farm animals. And Hornet, like I mentioned in the past, lets him play around in the character creator in games like TES, it's one of those occasional moments where she takes a step back and relaxes a bit. Zote doesn't let Lewk play, if anything, he'd be the one fighting for the controller with an actual toddler.
Milo and Asta - they're too young to play, so they just watch. Sometimes when Grimm lets them sleep on his desk while he plays (he puts a little bed there for them), they'll walk across the keyboard like cats to cuddle with him. Milo sometimes tries to catch the mouse cord while still in his little nest, while Asta gets brave and attempts to climb Grimm's shoulder or bite his hands. Same thing happens while Vyrm and the others play, I just loved the mental image of Grimm focused on his game and having one of his babies chew on his hand, it's such a funny thing to imagine considering he's a god of nightmares hahaha

Tell us about your other tavs please! What are their personalities and backstories like? Who’s romancing who? (I really like Kir’rul’s design especially. She looks very pretty)
OOO yeyeyeyeye! Most of these tavs i've only just started their saves, but i have bits on each of them. I dunno if i remember everything rn but oh well! ah lets see... so we got Kir'rul! She was raised in a crèche, and while she was a skilled fighter, she did not like the idea of killing her own in training matches to the death. To be useful to her crèche she was sent out to scout and map out and loot the nearby areas. One day she found a disc with Orpheus's story inscribed (Looted it off a dead githyanki). She resonated with the story, but kept it hidden. She knew she wasn't exactly wanted at her crèche, but she had no idea where else to turn to. Simply biding her time before she can leave. Kir'rul was abducted during her rite of passage, where her attempt to kill a mindflayer instead got her tadpoled. She likes the nature the Prime Material Plane had to offer, especially taking a liking to flowers. She is disappointed at their fleeting beauty however, and how quickly they wilt once plucked. During one of her scouting missions, she found a book with pressed flowers in between the pages. She likes those :3 She doesn't show much emotions, and will do her best to simply follow as instructed, until she finds an good opening. (She waited until the goblins were led back to the grove to kill them) She prefers to bide her time as long as she can. Does love riddles and puzzles, and will spend ages going through them. Kir'rul romances Lae'zel! Coupla gith girlfriends :3 She likes having a githyanki friend who actually wants to work with her. At first hesitant to tell Lae'zel about Orpheus, but now they'll work together to free him! Currently in the middle of Act 2 with them, she's been mostly sneaking around pretending to be part of the Absolute. Next we got Ayla Auberon! A noble gnome from Baldur's Gate who was disowned by her family as a teen after she crashed a very fancy and important party with her newly befriended bear, King. She left with King and became a ranger. She wants to be a Harper and prove herself to her family and the world. She's got a short temper and will act impulsively. Especially when she sees injustice.
Despite being disowned, she's still a rich girl at heart. She acts with much confidence, and likes to flirt with all the ladies. King is her wingman :P She's a terrible singer, but she has fun doing it. She is scared of ghosts but won't admit it. She will probably romance Shadowheart! I can imagine them living in a cottage with all their animals (Ayla eventually finds another bear, names her Queen) Only in Act 1 with her, but I like her bear :3 Then we got Odysseus! I call him Oddy for short just so I don't confuse myself. (I have have been listening to Epic the Musical and I love it and of course that's where Oddy got his name.) He's a single dad with a child waiting for him back at Baldur's Gate. He will do anything to protect his child, and subsequently all the companions he's picked up along the way. He's kinda holding all the companions on a leash and making sure they don't do something stupid and get themselves killed. He's a bit sad but once he reaches Baldur's Gate and knows his daughter is safe, he can be more focused on the task, and maybe say hi to the bear druid hehe. He probably drops his kid off at Jaheira's while they're all busy saving the city.
Whenever I think of all my Tavs in one room, he is the dad taking care of all of them. (He would adopt Myka and Eli in a heartbeat. Kir'rul too but she would say she doesn't need a parental figure.) I plan on him romancing Halsin :3 Finally we got Faelyn Moss! Not really a tav but a dnd character in my friends campaign! A noble who had to quit her wizard studies to marry a rich man to save her family. (That did not go well) She's got a little frog familiar, lovingly called Froggy! A bit weird compared to other nobles, but a fun one hehe. She's a big ol enthusiastic nerd and loves to talk about her latest interests. Likes to set fires and explosions, but its okay she's an evocation wizard! Her friends are perfectly safe :D I think I'll romance Gale with her, coupla nerdy wizards hehe
aaa I'm sure I'm probably forgetting lil bits here and there about them, but thanks so much for this ask! :D I haven't been able to play much of them, but i do like thinking about them hehe if you got more questions or stuff feel free to send them! :P

“Manifesting a yapportunity”
Ur not gonna believe this…. Go forth, yap. What are your wips? Which one story favorite? Anything else you wanna talk abt
Eeeeeeeeeeeee!!! TYSM, I hope you realize you have just earned eternal opportunity to yap back at me, FYI.
Ok, so WIP list!!!
1) The Hollow Planet (currently writing)
Not really counting this one as a story, it's a system-agnostic TTRPG setting I've been world building for the past year. It'll probably take me another year or two to finish writing it and save up money for art, maps, a cover, etc, but I'm incredibly excited about it, especially since it's the first project of this type I've ever done.
Whenever I do get it done, I'll be selling it as PDFs on my Kofi, and maybe an ebook version too. Probably just for a couple bucks tho cause I know how being broke feels lol 😭
It's Sci-fi, but like, loosey goosey hand-wavey sci Fi that's essentially fantasy.
I've come up with several playable alien species, probably too many honestly, and all their home planets and shit. Mostly been working on politics, currency and different types of spaceships other than that right now, but I'll be coming up with alien monsters later and I can't wait to test my creature design skills!
2) The Aloryn Saga (YA trilogy, just finished outlining)
Basically what happens when your parents can't get out of the "give me your firstborn" deal with a goddess, but you're a stubborn as hell little sister who makes said goddess take you instead of your big sis.
Lyssa (little sis) ends up having the time of her life in this magic world with Taz the rogue goddess (think Eda from the Owl House or Stanley Pines for personality inspiration) and the other outcast kids she's collected along the way. It doesn't hurt that there are magic lessons, scams to help run, and they're traveling in a stolen London tour bus pulled by a pair of very sweet woolly mammoths.
Cate (big sis) ends up finding a way to Aloryn herself. Convinced that Lyssa is in danger and needs rescuing, she gets manipulated by Godhunters into joining their organization to help them track down Taz. What she doesn't realize at first is that Godhunters don't just capture Gods, they kill them to steal their magical powers. And she's leading them right to her sister, who now has magic too.
So then they kinda end up on opposite sides of a war, which does not do wonders for sibling relationships.
I've figured out the ending and they do end up on the same side again eventually and kinda start rebuilding things with each other.
Also there are Technicolor wolf-people, an island pirate kingdom, and the ancestral home of the gods is a city carved from a skyscraper-sized unicorn horn. I'm going for something that would have made my 13 year old self want to read it, basically.
Fingers crossed my tween sister likes it too lol.
I have a list of paused WIPs as long as my entire body, so I'll just give you some highlights.
3) Soul Thieves (tabled)
Another YA trilogy, this time with a hidden magical world mixed with our own. Soft magic system, mild to medium levels of creepy stuff, and a central cast consisting of two girls (one shapeshifter, one poltergeist) who steal souls for a living, a she/they human enby who has no soul to steal, and a talking wolf spirit who's a white-hat necromancer and sole keeper of the group's impulse control.
4) Sikra's Scions (NA Fantasy, four books, tabled)
The Evil Queen's supposed to be immortal. Really she's just swapping her soul into new magically cloned bodies every time she gets old. Her latest batch of clone "children" figure out their intended purpose and run away to start a rebellion against her.
One book from the POV of each of the four clones as they start to forge their own identities, make allies, and experience the real world for the first time.
Once again, TYSM. Hope some of that was interesting 🧐😁

Headcanons if reader were Dazai's or Chuuya's younger sibling. Their sibling is written as either having no ability or they have a noncombative one though nothing ability wise is mentioned anyway.
Cw: suicide mentions(it's Dazai)
Dazai
While he's certainly their older brother his sibling tends to take care of him more like he was their younger brother.
He does protect and care for them in his own way by making sure it's safe for them to walk home or that they have enough to eat without their knowledge. This is because he wants them to see him as a useless older brother they can't rely on though he knows it only works so much when they piece together that he does care about them. Curse their intelligence maybe it's genetic.
He raises them in a way to make them self-sufficient and independent because they'll have to be in order to survive this hell we call life.
Before the Port Mafia he sorta leaves them to their own devices or drags them along with him to scout out possible locations for his next attempt at his own life. When he gets involved with Mori he wants his sibling no where near him because he knows the guy would try to use them for his own benefit somehow. It'll probably be a long time before Mori even knows about his sibling because he has kept them away from the mafias gaze.
The only ones who know of their existence are Chuuya, Odasaku, and Ango during his time in the Mafia. This is because at the time these are really the only ones he can trust to take care of them should anything happen to him especially Odasaku.
When he joins the Detective Agency they're right by his side working there even if they just handle paperwork and such. His coworkers care for his sibling more than him which is exactly what he wants.
If his sibling had a crush on anyone he'd know right away and tease them endlessly about it but if they like Chuuya of all people he's whining like the biggest baby with the most disgusted look on his face. Will probably try to steer then towards others like he'd be like go have a crush on Kunikida just anyone but Chuuya!
Would rather leave his sibling in the hands of the Agency but he could rely on Chuuya to take care of them but he'd definitely prefer to keep them out of the mafias hands.
Chuuya
Protective but not suffocating as an older brother. He does his best to make sure his sibling is well taken care of even if they may get into fights because he's always throwing himself into danger.
Raised his sibling by himself and regardless if they're adopted or were part of the same project he came from they are one of the most precious person in his life. So much so if anything happened to them he wouldn't know what to do for a time as he's always been without nothing.
Before the Port Mafia he would keep them hidden for the most part mainly because they weren't as strong as him and he didn't want them to get hurt. But as things progress and his involvement with them grows he sort of has no choice but to make them known to keep them safe.
As he rises through the ranks he puts money aside for their education and for new clothes and things because he wants his sibling to live a better life than him away from the mafia and the slums they grew up in.
When Dazai inevitably meets his sibling because hiding things from him is practically impossible, Dazai tries to get them to look up to him and think he's cool just to piss off Chuuya. Does it work? No.
He'll be a bit worried and protective if he finds out his sibling has a crush but he'd lose his damn mind if he finds out their crush is Dazai. Like really?! Him of all people?! Dazai definitely knows and uses this knowledge to his advantage teasing his sibling and mentioning their crush on him whenever Chuuya insults him.
His sibling lives in a better part of the city farther away from criminal activity but he does visit them every once in a while to check up on them and catch up. He leaves the more darker details out of his stories but he finds talking about their weeks together over some good food to be things he looks forwards to.
Has some of his subordinates watch out for them while they're put and about because his sibling is not getting hurt or used against him not on his watch.
Would leave his sibling in Dazai's care if anything were to happen to him even if he'd rather eat his own hat than admit he trusts the guy.
