It's one of my biggest headcanons ever that Vash does NOOOT like his birthday dude I just can't believe it...Knives however. Biggest birthday enjoyer ever. He is the special birthday boy. 🤗🤗🤗

Knives usually leaves Vash alone but Vash KNOWS Knives is going to make an effort to show up on their birthday and it stresses him out so bad. Especially if the July incident was on their birthday...that would leave horrible memories for him. 😭 Not to mention how painful remembering his first birthday with Rem would be. Plus Knives would act so bitchy about it like wooow dont even want to see your own brother on your birthday wow. I get it I'm just the worst ever ..🥀 Vash would be so over it.

I feel so strongly that Vash is the introvert while Knives is the extrovert. Knives self isolates out of fear and disgust of humans but he secretly thrives while talking to others. Especially if they have strong opinions he can argue against (definitely a debate bro). If Knives had a normal childhood he would've loved big crowds, he has absolutely no social awareness or shame . Or filter. He'd talk to anyone who'd listen. Knives drives himself absolutely insane with his own isolation. All he really wants is social connection, something he's convinced himself is impossible with humans. That's why he's so fixated on getting Vash to stay, he feels Vash is the only person he can actually talk to. Vash on the other hand, would do anything for 5 minutes alone. He is constantly pushing away Milly, Meryl, and even Wolfwood. He cannot let anyone know him beyond his silly guy persona. He especially doesn't like being celebrated (doesn't think he deserves it. 😂😂😂) He is constantly trying to skip out on the parties towns people throw for him, leaving without saying goodbye. (He does like getting drunk tho...makes talking easier) He'd never EVER share his birthday with anyone. Especially not Wolfwood or the girls. Knives however, would tell EVERYONE !!! (like how the entire Gung Ho Gun knew Knives had a brother, but Meryl had no idea Vash did. I think Knives loves talking about himself and his tragic past, painting himself as the forever victim to absolutely anyone who'd listen. To Vashes absolute horror 😭.) Vash is constantly drained from forcing himself to perform socially. He loves people and talking to them but he just needs like. 8 hours of alone time to properly function. That's why he gets so bitchy with everyone sometimes lol. She just needs a naaaaap omg 🤦‍♂️. But he feels guilty for being snippy and tired so he'll force himself to be social anyway. Which makes it worse. Love hiiim !!!! 😍 Either way they're both hurting themselves when they behave like this.

Knives is definitely the yapper while Vash just listens. I feel like Vash would appreciate not having that pressure to constantly respond. Even if Knives can be overbearing, I do think they enjoy each other's company. When they aren't... trying to murder each other. Nobody knows him like Knives does, it would almost be relieving not having to pretend to be happy all the time. He can perfectly morally justify being as mean to Knives as he wants to be !! And he wouldn't admit it, but he does enjoy listening to Knives complain about nothing. He thinks it's funny. Knives is just happy to be with someone he's deemed worthy of his time. He views Vash as his equal, someone he actually trusts to confide in. They are the opposite and also the same in every way life is so beautiful I love these guys.

It would also just be such a cute subversion of audience expectation if Knives, the self proclaimed people hater, was a people person. I think that's sooo interesting and makes so much sense with the context of his desperation for the approval of humans when he was a child. I think kid Knives would've tried to argue that celebrating something everyone goes through is pointless, but would love all the attention anyway. Even be a bit resentful that it was Vashes birthday too if he didn't seem to appreciate the attention as much. As he got older hed mellow out and warm up to the idea of having a birthday and sharing it. Mostly as an excuse to talk to Vash and make everything about himself again. Lol. Plus I think he likes organizing parties. His dream is to have that sweet 16 fantasy the humans in the old world used to have. He actually wants to be normal is the thing. They both do.

She tells you her name is Rebecca and she's almost twice your age, but neither of you seem to mind. Even though neither of you have seen photos of each other, since this is the Bantr version of a sugar mommy/baby app, there's a part of you that would really like to meet her, another part of you is scared shitless since you've never done something like this before. Although she admitted herself that she's never done anything like this before either so at least the both of you find comfort in that together.

After talking for a few weeks you decided to exchange phone numbers and take the conversation off of the app. It was something you were both nervous about, but you found it cute that she was just as nervous about it as you were. You both agreed that neither of you were comfortable with FaceTiming each other but eventually agreed to phone calls every so often. The calls usually took place at night after you both were home from work and as of late, one of you always ending up falling asleep, still on the phone. It's something the both of you found endearing. Her voice was like silk, a little sultry, but beautiful; if her voice was any indication of what she looked like, she was probably stunning.

A new message notification pops up and you grab your phone and open your conversation.

Good morning, how did you sleep?

I slept very well, although I missed out nightly chat 😕 How did you sleep?

So did I, I'm sorry I wasn't able to call. I slept well, but I did miss hearing your voice.

You've wanted to meet up with her for a little bit now but you haven't worked up the courage yet to ask, but today you decided was the day.

You take a deep breath and hit "send" and nerves flood your body, fearful that you're pushing her into something she doesn't want. Her name pops up on your phone again and you open the text.

A squeal escapes from you as you kick your legs like a little kid. This woman seemed wonderful and the fact that she's willing to meet up with you? Completely insane.

The remainder of the week flies by and before you know it, you're getting ready for your date. Rebecca texts you the address and you call an Uber and you're on your way.

The car pulls up to the restaurant and it's gorgeous, you can tell just by looking at it that it's expensive. After thanking the driver you get out of the car and head inside to wait at the bar.

Just got here, I'm at the bar. I'm wearing a black cocktail dress.

Pulling up now.

Butterflies fill your belly as you keep your eyes on the door, studying every one who walks through the door, trying to figure out if they're Rebecca. A gorgeous, tall, blond woman walks in and look around at the bar, her eyes settle on you and you just know it's her. She walks over to you with a beautiful smile on her face.

"Y/n?"

"Rebecca, hi. It's great to finally meet you."

Rebecca wraps her strong arms around you and pulls you into a hug, every butterfly in your belly settles when you smell her perfume, the scent immediately relaxing you.

"I'm so glad I can finally put a beautiful face to that gorgeous voice." She says.

"You're telling me, wow." You say, admiring her beauty up close, getting lost in her stunning green eyes. "Sorry, I don't mean to stare, you're just really pretty." A blush creeps across your cheeks, it darkens when you feel her hand cups the side of your face and she smiles at you.

"You my dear are beautiful."

Rebecca takes your hand and the hostess leads you both to your table. After looking over the menus you order dinner and drinks and the two of you begin talking. Rebecca tells you that she manages a football club, you tell her that you're a graphic designer. You both talk about your jobs, what you enjoy about them, what you don't. Once the conversation about your careers is exhausted Rebecca asks you what brought you to the app.

"Actually, I downloaded it because I lost a bet. My friends made me make a profile and talk to a few people. I was planning on deleting it but then you and I started talking and got on so well I decided to keep it. What made you go on the app?"

"Well, my job is very demanding so I don't have time for a relationship, but I do have money and having some kind of companionship would be nice so I figured this was the best way to do it."

"That makes sense. I mean especially if you have the money and not the time, I get it."

"So, what do you want out of this?"

"Honestly, I don't really know. I know that's probably a shit answer given that we've been talking for so long but, truthfully I never really thought about it like that. I just really enjoyed talking to you. What about you?"

"Well, companionship, I'd love you take you out to more dinners, maybe take you as my plus one for a few terribly boring events I have to attend for work. I know sexual favors are often part of the deal but if I'm being honest, I don't love the idea of putting that on the table right away."

"I totally get that, honestly that was one of the things I was worried about. Don't get me wrong, you're stunning, but the thought of sleeping with someone I barely know for money feels icky. I'm not opposed to it happening eventually, though."

"Well it looks like we're on the same page." Rebecca says with a smile.

The waiter brings over your dinners and a second round of drinks and the conversation flows as easily as the drinks do. You don't feel like you're on a first date with your sugar mommy, you feel like you're out with someone you've been friends with for years. Rebecca has a wicked sense of humor, she's made you laugh more tonight than you have in a while. All night you caught yourself getting lost in her gorgeous eyes, just like you had hoped, she's just as beautiful as her voice, if not more.

After you finish dessert Rebecca pays the bill and you both walk out of the restaurant.

The next few dates you and Rebecca went on were amazing, each date better than the last. The two of you got pretty close faster than either of you expected, on top of paying for dinners, Rebecca bought you little gifts each time you got together. You pick up the dress from its box, a gorgeous black satin dress with a high slit up the side, plunging neckline and open back. Excitedly, you run into your room and try it on and it fits perfectly, you have no idea how she managed to pick the perfect size, but you love it.

The next night you slip on the dress, a cute pair of heels you have that go perfectly with it, and the bracelet and necklace she bought for you. Looking in the mirror, you don't know if you've ever looked this elegant before in your life, it feels weird, but also really nice.

Just as you're about to order your Uber you get a text from Rebecca.

Come outside.

Curious, you open the door and you see Rebecca leaning against her car, wearing a beautiful red dress, a beige trench coat draped over her shoulders.

"Hey, I was just about to order and Uber." You say, surprised to see her.

You nod your head, speechless at the sheer size of the yacht in front of you.

"I bought this for myself after my divorce."

"Wait, this is yours?"

"Yes!"

"Holy shit. How much money do you have?!" The words fall out of your mouth before you're able to stop them. "Sorry, I didn't-"

Rebecca throws her head back and lets out a laugh.

"Oh don't worry. And a lot, you're one lucky sugar baby." She says with a wink. "Come on, I have a chef waiting inside. We're gonna go on a dinner cruise."

Stunned, Rebecca grabs your hand and pulls your forward towards the boat. You're in awe of the yacht, it's bigger than your flat, she gives you a brief tour, you see the saloon, the kitchen, the deck and the pilot house.

"There's more but I'll show you that all later, I don't know about you, but I'm starving."

On command your stomach growls and your put your hand over it and both you and Rebecca laugh.

"Come on, lets go." She takes your hand and leads you to the dining table on the deck, the sun is just setting and it's a gorgeous sight. The chef comes over and talks about what he's planning on making, you look over at Rebecca in disbelief when he says he's making your favorite dish.

"How did you-"

"You mentioned it on our first date, so I figured it would be perfect for tonight."

"You're amazing."

"Only the best for my sugar baby." She says, tucking a piece of hair behind your ear. "You look beautiful by the way, that dress is perfection on you."

"I have no idea how you knew what size to get, but it's perfect. Thank you, so much Rebecca."

The chef brings over a bottle of wine and pours you both a glass. By the time you're finishing your second glass dinner is ready, and damn it's the best meal you've ever had in your life. Once the plates are cleared and another glass of wine down dessert it brought out, you and Rebecca split it, she feeds you a few bites and you both finish off the bottle of wine.

Rebecca takes you by the hand and walks you to the railing, overlooking the river as you sail through it. She wraps her arms around your waist and pulls you back into her, you gaze out over the water and turn to look at her over your shoulder. Her green eyes meet yours and you look down at her lips and back up into her eyes. She pulls you closer as you turn to face her and she closes the distance between the two of you. Your eyelids flutter as your lips meet, you sigh into the kiss as her soft, warm lips press against yours. She gently sucks on your bottom lip and you part them, her tongue sliding in and greeting yours. They dance around each other in harmony as you softly moan into her mouth. Your fingers tangle themselves in her hair and you feel one of her hands slide between your shoulder blades and the other one slide down your lower back.

As the kiss slows you both begin to part and gaze into each others eyes, her forehead resting against yours.

"Come on, I'll finish giving you the grand tour." She quietly says, grabbing hold of your hand. You follow her back down to the saloon and you both shed your shoes and she leads you down into the cabin area.

As if you already weren't incredibly impressed with the yacht, you come to find out that there's three guest bedrooms, three guest bathrooms and just when you think that was it, she opens the double doors to the owners cabin.

"Holy shit. Rebecca, this is insane." The cabin is almost the size of your room in your flat, she brings you into the bathroom and it's twice the size of yours.

"Jesus Christ Rebecca, this is bigger than my bathroom in my flat."

"It's gorgeous isn't it?"

"Uh, yeah?!"

"Oh, one sec, stay here, make yourself comfortable."

Rebecca walks out of the bedroom and you sit on the edge of the bed. A few minutes later Rebecca comes back with a new bottle of wine and two glasses.

"Can't forget the wine!"

"Oh god forbid we forget the wine!" You joke.

"Come on, watch this." Rebecca says as she closes the bedroom doors. She climbs onto the bed, patting the spot next to her.

Climbing into the spot next to her, Rebecca grabs one of the remotes and presses a button, what you thought was a massive picture in a frame, is actually the television.

"What?! That's so cool!"

"Right? It's one of my favorite parts of the whole yacht."

"Oh my god."

The two of you laugh and finish your glasses quickly, Rebecca immediately filling them back up. You look over at Rebecca as she talks, noticing how her eyes light up when she talks about the things she loves, how the crows feet in the corner of her eyes form when she's happy, you study the laugh lines around her mouth, how her lips always look so perfectly kissable. Truthfully you don't even know what she's talking about, you're so enamored with everything else about her you got lost in her beauty.

"Oh, you have lipstick on you." She says, leaning over and wiping the lipstick out from under your bottom lip. Unsure if it was smudged from the wine glass or your make out session earlier. She takes your chin between her thumb and forefinger and gently pulls your bottom lip down with her thumb.

Noticing that she's staring at your lips you close your eyes and lean in, your lips meeting hers. The kiss becomes passionate quickly, only pausing so you both can put down your wine glasses. Rebecca rolls you onto your back and she carefully climbs on top of you, her lips not once leaving yours. With her body pressed against you, all you want is for her to be closer. Her tongue explores the inside of your mouth and she gently bites and sucks on your bottom lip, a small moan escaping from you.

OMG, YES! I'm crazy about that picture, I shared it here months ago. I totally have that feeling too! So cool you mentioned Elvis also collected Italian guns. I know just how you feel about it, dear. 🥹

Well, on Elvis and Brazil, there's a few connections I'll never get over... they're so dear to me.

First, during the last of Elvis' appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show (January 6, 1957), EP performed on the same day as a Brazilian singer named Leny Eversong. They didn't performed together, but I was so happy they got a couple pictures taken that day, backstage. Leny was/is one of the greatest female Brazilian voices. ♥ I don't know if that's true or not, but some places say Elvis told her she reminded him of his momma. Cute.

Another Elvis/Brazil connection took place during his Hollywood era. On my favorite Elvis movie "Live a Little, Love a Little" (1968) there's a song composed by the Brazilian musician, Luiz Bonfá. The song is "Almost In Love", a beautiful ballad which dreamy melody was borrowed from Luiz Bonfá's original 1965 song "Moonlight in Rio", while the lyrics Elvis sings was composed by Randy Starr. According to Luiz Bonfá, in 1968 he was working at MGM and someone (I won't remember who) told him Elvis needed a song for the soundtrack of this 1968 movie. That's when the Brazilian musician would lend his beautiful melody, an original composition, to what would become the song recorded by the King and featured in the 1968 movie "Live a Little, Love a Little" soundtrack.

Brazilian's Bossa Nova was very popular around the world in the 60s but, unfortunately, that was the only song composed by a Brazilian musician that the King ever recorded. Either way I'm so, so proud of it. ♥

Last but not least, years later, on November 30, 1972 Elvis attended Paul Anka and Brazilian musician Sergio Mendes's opening night at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV. They met backstage. Sergio Mendes is one of the greatest Brazilian musicians of all times. He was friends with Frank Sinatra (they toured in the 60s). About that night meeting the King, Sergio said Elvis went backstage to congratulate Paul and him for the concert, telling them he did enjoy the show.

According to Kathy Westemoreland on her Facebook page (as shared on this website), Elvis did enjoy the music of the Portuguese singer, Amalia Rodrigues, known as the "Queen of Fado". Brazilian Portuguese and the Portuguese from Portugal are not the same but they are similar, just like American English and British English, because Brazil was a Portugal colony when it was first "discovered" in 1500, that until 1822 when Brazil became an independent nation. That leaves me wondering if Elvis knew a little bit of Portuguese or not, having him listened to some songs in Portuguese (both from Portugal with the Fado music and from Brazil with our Bossa Nova). That would be so cool, but I've heard or seen nothing that could proved this yet.

Italian language, on the other side, Elvis knew at least one word: "Arrivederci" -- "Oh, no, that's Italian", he said after mistaken German for Italian during a press conference in Germany in 1958, giving us yet another cute moment of him to cherish.

Anyway. Thank you so much for being kind and reminding me of that Army Elvis picture with the Brazil showing in the map right behind him on the wall. I love that picture. It's so silly, but even the slightest connections of Elvis with our different nations thrills us, I know exactly how you feel about the Italian guns he collected. ♥

Ohh, by the way, another cool thing I know connecting Elvis to Italy is that Elvis' suite at the former International Hotel then Hilton Hotel and now Westgate Hotel in Las Vegas, which unfortunately was remodeled and doesn't look like it was when Elvis was there, is named today after a region in central Italy! I've seen somewhere on Youtube that Elvis' actual penthouse suite, when remodeled, was split in two or three different villas. Well, one is named "Tuscany". SO COOL! ⚡🥹 ✨

The average being would prolly struggle to even find food, meanwhile Eggy gorges himself on the finest foods and booze. Every day he has a feast for himself. He'd probably cheekily giggle with delight knowing that people and animals are starving , while he gets to stuff his fat gut. Food goes to winners like him and not losers like them. Hell he'd probably broadcast himself feasting, just to kick everyone while they're down.

It sounds like an absolute paradise 😍 In Eggman's eyes and mine because I love anything that makes him happy lol- but absolutely terrible for everyone else. He gets to live his dream in a perfect world by his twisted definition as it's completely reshaped in his selfish image and he the has high power and total luxury he's always desired, and a big gay harem to serve his needs and entertain him. It couldn't get any better!

He wouldn't treat his harem the best either but to my masochistic ass that's a plus and it'd be an honor to be a part of it hehe. Everyone else would experience the absolute worst of what this new world entails though. They've lost their homes, people they love, passion and enthusiasm for living and all meaning as he's stripped it away and replaced it with his plan and rules for them and they have to follow it all or be eliminated!

Ohh yes I love that so much, I've actually shared a concept very similar... elsewhere (in one of the blogs hinted at in my blog description), for reasons. 😳 People would definitely struggle to find food to survive, Eggman would want people to starve so it will make them give in to the robotomy treatment. If the propaganda didn't get them, they'll be begging for it just so they won't need to eat, only to regret it because they also have to give up all freedom and free will!

I imagine that as emperor, he heavily indulges in all the luxuries of life to an excessive degree in total hedonism and decadance and one of those is food of course. Because all the food in the world will belong to him alone then! And he can't let it go to waste he says, so he has many huge grand feasts to himself, but it's to celebrate his brilliance most importantly hehe. He deserves good food fit for an emperor and lots of it.

He loves to kick back before his big long dinner table full of tons of wonderful foods the entire way across and dig in to it all. He's free to gorge to his heart's content and eat like the emperor he is. Plenty of booze too! He always enjoys having a very full belly, being happily drunk, and getting some love and action from his cute harem as they feed him, give him his cuddles, kisses and belly rubs and other things while he relaxes ;)

It's endless elation, pleasure, and bliss for Eggman 💜 It's what everyone's lives, freedom, and happiness were exchanged for as they suffer in the hellish world he's created. He'd enjoy broadcasting his time lounging on his throne, feasting on all the food they don't get to eat while they hunger, and being loved up by his harem while he gloats about how great and powerful he is and shows off how much better of a life he's living than them!

The torment gets them closer to giving into robotomy everyday.

Their biggest nightmare was his biggest dream, their suffering is his entertainment, their detriment is his benefit, their squalor means his luxury. He took away everything from everyone from the world they knew, who they were and the freedom they had, and everything they loved and owned and left them with only suffering, all for his selfish gain. He loves to remind them of that every single day with great pride!

And I'd be delighted to be at his side as part of a harem of cute boys, as we all now exist solely to serve in entertaining and pampering the handsome emperor 🥰💜💘

🐶 What are TK and Carlos' favorite dog breeds? Which one do they get if they eventually get a dog of their own?

I can see Carlos wanting a "real dog" - like a German shepherd or maybe a staffie or some other average size breed (like Labrador size-ish). But probably also something fluffy like Buttercup because you can't tell me he wouldn't love cuddling a big fluffy beast when TK is at work.

TK would pick the saddest looking little bundle of misery at the shelter (adopt, don't shop, people) and go "I want that one" and just love it and spoil it and give it the best food/treats/toys money can buy. No matter the breed or size. If it's a tiny chihuahua it's coming home with them, if it's a Great Dane Carlos better make sure there is room in the Camaro for a crate - and they'll have to invest in a bigger bed because the "baby" sleeps in bed with them.

I feel like TK is too chaotic for actual albums - other than how his phone sorts his pictures automatically. He'll take pictures of everything. Carlos looking exceptionally beautiful (just watching TV at home in his oldest and comfiest pjs), pictures from their catan hangs, selfies, some nsfw pics and videos (Nancy learnt the hard way not to scroll through his camera roll), random stuff he comes across when he's at work and sends to Carlos - which can be anything from a cute dog to funny holiday decorations. And every single pride flag he sees in June - no matter how small. He does have every picture of their wedding and some of his mum marked as favourite for easy access.

Carlos is a lot more organised and not really one to take pictures of random stuff - though he's doing it more now than back when he and TK first met. The first time he puts his new uniform on, TK is at work and he sends him a mirror selfie, he gets a string of 😍🥵🔥 back and 5 minutes later a video call request.

i think he has albums for important stuff like birthdays and family events. He definitely has every picture taken at their wedding saved in special album. A few he's taken himself, but mostly from their family and friends. His favourite picture is one of the two of them during their first dance his mum took. it's one where he has his back to the camera but you see TK resting his head against Carlos' and just looking blissfully happy. he uses it as wallpaper and lockscreen on his phone and he just likes to look at it whenever he's having a bad day. It's also one he shows to people asking about his husband or his wedding. That and the post cake smash kiss.

He DEFINITELY has some pics and videos that are meant for TK's eyes only and they're carefully hidden away and will never see the light of day.

I don't use spotify so the boys don't either - fact.

I think TK has a pretty broad taste. Anything from showtunes to the new Linkin Park - and everything in between. He'll sing along to the latest pop sensation that's on the radio 24/7 or something more underground he'll have discovered on insta or a local band playing in a bar or busking on a street corner. I think he's always looking for something new that catches his attention.

Carlos grew up with Latin music from his parents but his sisters were both BIG into boybands so he still knows practically every Backstreetboys/Nsync song by heart. He generally likes music he can dance to but TK has introduced him to some cool bands too over the years and he likes a bit of rock here and there. Though he's more into indie and singer songwriters with a nice melody than the wall of noise TK sometimes likes to listen to. But if he comes home and sees TK airdrumming along to one of his favourite songs he just enjoys the view of seeing his husband happy and carefree. He has a full album of happy TK on his phone too.

Before Eli found his confidence, he always let Demetri do the talking. He would do his best to hide behind Demetri, making himself as small as possible because he didn't want the bigger merfolk to push him around. Demetri was at least imposing in height. Demetri never cared and tried to bow up to the bigger, meaner mermen when need be. His instinct to protect Eli was the only reason he put up with those numbskulls.

These two swam around their feelings for each other for a long time. It took Eli gaining his confidence before either of them admitted anything, but for a long tike it was their natural instinct that drove them to protect each other from dangerous waters.

When Eli finally grew confident in himself, Demetri was simultaneously stunned and scared. He didn't want to lose Eli to anyone else and if he were confident in himself, what would stop him from getting with a cute mermaid? A lot of pretty mermaids flocked to him and hoped to gain his affection once he got stronger and fitter.

With his newfound confidence, Eli's tail shined brighter. It shimmered such pretty colors now. It was spectacular and beautiful, a wonderful display and the perfect way to attract potential mates. He also started wearing necklaces and bracelets that caughg the light and shined in a way that accented his natural shimmer. Demetri would watch him swim and dance through the water, enchanted by him but also failing to realize that Eli was trying to impress him.

After a lot of showing off and courting gifts Demetri mistook as friendly gestures, Eli had enough and just kissed the fool. It was hard but got the point across. Before Demetri knew what was going on, they were making out on the ocean floor wrapped up in each other. And from that day on, they're truly inseparable.

Their relationship is a lot of explorations that Demetri only sometimes wants to go on. He doesn't like traveling far from home for fear of something bad happening. He was told too many stories as a guppy about human fishermen and their ships, so he's a little terrified to come across one. He doesn't want to found out by any humans. Eli is usually dragging him along for a little trip away to find some lost treasures.

Eli loves exploring sunken ships and Demetri hates it. There's plenty of old stuff to find but there's also too many sharp edges to get hurt on. They compromise that if Eli gets to go to an abandoned ship, they'll spend time doing something demetri likes for just as long. Usually this entails spending time in the coral reefs near their home because Demetri loves their colors and studying everything happening there.

So for YEARS this one has been heaaavily coveted by many crafters and has been hard to get in, but always told that it's worth it. That you'll make your table cost back in like two hours!

Yeah no... had mom not made wreaths, we would have lost money... Anyway super super dead at times like absolutely no one walking around, just the vendors getting up and shopping bc they could. Then it would pick up but you would get maybe 2 interested shoppers out of every 10. 4 if you were lucky.

People adored the boo boo bunnies and cat toys and I sold the most of them. So now I have to make more cat toys 😭. It's not the amount of effort it takes to make them, I love making them. I hate stuffing them with catnip 😭😭😭 but that's why people (and cats) love them. Also need to put bells on them bc people really like the ones with bells, which I stopped doing bc several people kept asking if I thought their cats would eat the bells... like you can cut it off man idc sgdggdgd once you buy it it's yours idc if YOU eat it if that's your thing just give me my dollar

Have to make a card for the bunnies bc it's hit or miss on if people know what they're for (you pop em in the freezer and hold them to a small "boo boo" and use it like a little ice pack, or you can pop out the reusable cube and use ice. Either way it's a cute little ice pack.

Only my one cousin bought any handwarmers 😭 and her wife had to pay me in $4 worth of quarters sgsgdggddg I was like take your time you could pay me in pennies and that'd be fine too (had a little kid pay me 25 cents for a slap bracelet in various coins and it was so sweet 🥺)

My mom posts our shows on her fb so that family and friends can show up to support us, and the first time since we've been doing these, we had 3 groups of family come in!

But that wasn't always a good thing...

My mom's cousin brought her daughter and granddaughter, and they talked for awhile and eventually mom's cousin bought a wreath (thank god). And she was like "oh my god this is so beautiful!! 😍" and complimented my stuff as well (but my stuff is more geared towards kids/parents like the boo boo bunnies, so she didnt buy anything from me agdgdgdg)

Then my cousin (not the handwarmers one) came and I used to really love her/she was my favorite cousin... until she moved back to the state and I realized goddamn you're super annoying and have 0 social awareness (in a THE ATTENTION SHOULD BE ON ME! and a never really thinking ab the situations she puts people in when she does shit, way. Not a "I am incapable of grasping social norms/social rituals"/"I cannot control how loud I'm being/why what I say might be considered rude" way.

Anyway she fosters dogs and has 4? Of her own, anyway she always has at least one dog with her at any time. Doesn't matter if you were attacked by one when you were a small child, or that you only have cats, it's a small dog! You're gonna like this one!!

She takes them into the grocery store too 😑. Anyway she brought her foster dog to it and ofc everyone kept coming over to see it and every fucking time she would canvas this dog like "his name is Bob. He goes up for adoption in two weeks at [shelter she volunteers at]" to every goddamn person who walked by.

"But Mar, doesn't that mean she brought customers to you?"

Nope! She and her dog blocked customers from my table bc they couldnt fucking get in with the people cooing at the dog and figured eh I'll skip this one, there's 100 vendors here.

Doesn't mean that every person who skipped would've bought from me, but none of the people who came up for the dog bought anything or so much as looked twice at my shit anyway. 😑

She did tell our cousin to meet her there though bc our cousin's wife is a photographer and she was gonna take pics of the dog at a nearby park. Didn't mention AT ALL that we had a booth, so they didnt really bring a lot of money, they thought they were just gonna say hi to us real quick then go.

My cousin's wife was like YOU DIDNT TELL US THEY HAD A BOOTH HERE?!?! OMG LOOK HOW CUTE!!!!! and they bought 2 handwarmers from us 🥰. And we gave their son some stuff for free as a gift (plus bc they ended up staying for like 2 hours and that shit is only so fun for a 7 year old for so long. But it was more so just Handwarmer Cousin staying to talk to my mom for most of it while her wife, son, and Dog Cousin went shopping/canvased Bob around. But I like HW cousin still so it wasnt bad sgdggdgd I just half listened to them talk while I took care of customers. Sold 1 ornament (the whole show), some cat toys, and I think another bunny, in that time lmao)

But the whole time Dog Cousin was there I was like 😐/🙁 instead of my fake customer service smile bc that smile only lasted until the second person she canvassed Bob to and that was approximately 30 seconds.

She didnt even consider buying anything, or say anything ab our table. Only when my mom asked her if our prices were reasonable. To which we got a "yeah." Then immediately back to Bob. 😐

After they left I went to walk around and goddamn there was nothing really good there except two crochet tables which had little plushies but nothing that jumped out at me.

Did trade a tooth pillow for a small tombstone shaped bar of soap of about the same price with another vendor sggdgdgdgd which was odd but nice

Anyway here's hoping my cousin wont come to the next/last show and that we find fun stuff at that one to buy sgdgdgdg

there’s a lot of stuff that’s unsaid - Alfie and the reader have been through a fucking LOT together, and even Alfie didn’t make it out 100% the same as he did going in. but the reader knows him probably better than anyone else, he knows what Alfie’s thinking, what he’s feeling, just be quickly looking at him. he knows when he’s upset, happy, anxious. it’s in the eyes, the eyes never lie. but he’s more than willing to step up and to look after Alfie, bc Alfie does it for him in return. it’s symbiotic, almost - he helps Alfie, Alfie helps him, and they can’t be without the other bc no one gets the other the way they do. they’ve been through a LOT together, they know each other as well as themselves, and really, no one could ever have that level of emotional and mental intimacy that they do - they’ve been to war together both literally and figuratively.  more than anyone, Alfie understands what it’s like to have blood on his hands; he knows what it’s like to kill and to live with the guilt of not being able to save people. he knows what it’s like to feel ashamed, shunned, guilty and embarrassed for living through the wars when others couldn’t. he knows. but he also wouldn’t force the reader to speak if he didn’t want to - he knows shellshock is a complicated thing, and he’s trying his best to find his footing in terms of helping his bf get through it. he’s trying, genuinely. Alfie loves that guy, and there’s no doubt about it, but they’re so protective of each other that… maybe it’ll turn out to be a bit of an issue sooner or later.

Stuff I bought at goodwill!! It was quite a day lmao. Overview: three resin horse statues, a Little Red Riding Hood Madame Alexander doll, a magic-theme ipsy bag, and a parade scarf.

The models were the first I found. They are very broken, but at $1.49 each for the small ones and $3.49 for the larger*, I couldn't resist!

I casually collect Breyer horses, and I have an interest in others, so I recognized that these were artist model horses right away, but I'm not 100% sure I can identify them.

I believe the Fjord (one of my favorite breeds! I wanted a model of one!) is PF Liedjo by Gina Hall Anderson. It's the only one with a marking I could find easily: Gina '96 on the belly. He's very beat up, but I want to try to fix him!

Slightly more beat up is what I believe is Gina Hall Anderson El Shama, who has a pretty similar, but less red, paint job to the one on the Model Horse Gallery page.

The last, unpainted one is giving me a little trouble. It could be Brigitte Eberl Verroccio or Verocchio, but the internet at the hotel is terrible, and a lot of model horse sites are down currently or loading indefinitely. (It's hard to find any information on things when one page takes two minutes to load and another only returns errors. I can check when home.) He's absolutely stunning either way!

I may very well be wrong about this, of course. I'm not an expert :p I was really, really excited about finding these three either way! The total for all three of them was ~$6.50, which is less than I've paid for beat-up breyers, and I really do want to start actually customizing models. What better way to start than with models that are all but falling apart? :P

Other than the beautiful horses, I'm always on the lookout for cute Mme Alexander dolls, ipsy bags, and scarves, especially if they're not too pricey (sometimes ipsy bags can be like $3.50 or more. Psh.). I don't know where the PARADE scarf came from, but it's my style 100%.

I also got a skirt that was half price, but I didn't put it in the picture lol. Of course, I have to find a way to fit all this stuff in the car on the way home, but... that's a problem for Future Me.

*I think the clerk gave me the Sunday student discount because everything was an extra 25% off!! If so, that was so nice!!! 😍
