The cold mountain air bit at your skin as you trudged up the snow-covered road toward the lodge. A chill ran through you, and you tugged your jacket tighter, glancing around at the quiet landscape. Your boots crunched softly against the thick blanket of snow with each step.
You didn't hear it at first, but you felt a presence behind you and soon two large, warm hands suddenly covered your eyes. You froze for a split second, your heart leaping into your throat as a familiar voice whispered in your ear, low and teasing.
"Guess who?"
For a second, you were caught off guard and frightened, but then, just as quickly, you let yourself relax, recognizing the rough feel of his calloused hands, the deep timbre of his voice, and the warmth radiating from his body as he stood close behind you. His chest was almost touching your back.
Mike.
Of course, it was Mike.
You sighed, half-exasperated, half-amused, and leaned back slightly against his chest, letting the warmth of his body seep into yours. With a gentle push, you pried his hands away from your eyes and spun around to face him.
"Real subtle" you said, shaking your head as you met his eyes.
He chuckled, his breath visible in the cold air. "Hey, it worked, didn't it? You jumped, so I won."
"You're an idiot," you retorted, though your tone was more playful than annoyed.
Mike shrugged, his grin widening. "Yeah, but I'm your favorite idiot”
You shot him a quick glance, unsure if you'd imagined the shift in his tone, but the playful grin on his face remained, as if daring you to respond.
"You really are full of yourself, huh?" you teased, hoping to mask the sudden warmth blooming in your chest.
Mike grinned wider, clearly unfazed. "Someone's gotta be, right? Besides, it's fun getting reactions out of you."
"Yeah, well, enjoy it while it lasts," you muttered, trying to sound casual, but your heart was racing.
Mike chuckled again, his tone softening as his gaze lingered on you. "You look good, by the way," he said, almost offhandedly. "Really good."
You opened your mouth to respond but faltered for a moment, unsure how to take the compliment without overanalyzing it.
"Thanks," you muttered, trying to play it cool. "You're not so bad yourself."
"Not so bad?" Mike echoed, raising an eyebrow. "Come on, I know I look better than 'not so bad’ “
You rolled your eyes again, but you couldn't stop the grin from spreading across your face. "Okay, fine. You look good, Monroe."
He flashed you a cocky grin, clearly pleased with himself. "That's more like it." His voice was smooth, laced with the kind of playfulness he always reserved for you. He was standing closer than usual, his gaze unwavering. You cleared your throat, trying to break the tension.
"So, how are things with Emily?" you asked, your voice slightly shaky.
Mike's smirk faltered for just a second, he ran a hand through his hair, glancing away before looking back at you. "We broke up."
You blinked, surprised. "Oh... I didn't know. Sorry."
You had already an idea of why it might have happened.
"Nah, don't be," he said with a casual shrug, though there was a heaviness in his tone that betrayed his words. "It wasn't working out."
The ease in his voice didn't quite match the tightness in his jaw, and for a moment, you felt a flicker of guilt for bringing it up.
"Besides," he added, stepping a little closer, "I'm single now."
His voice was low, almost suggestive.
He glanced at you, trying to gauge your reaction. A part of him wanted to see something, anything in your expression that hinted you cared about his relationship status, that maybe you were glad he was no longer with Emily. He didn't know if he could ever tell you how much he'd thought about you while he was with her.lo
You could feel the heat radiating from his body, the scent of his cologne mixing with the crisp mountain air. There was something about the way he was looking at you that made your pulse race and your thoughts blur.
You both continued talking, light and casual conversations together and Mike's thoughts were only on you. How good you looked standing there, snowflakes clinging to your hair, your cheeks flushed from the cold. How amazing it felt when you'd leaned back against him earlier, even if it was just for a second. He'd wanted to hold you there, to wrap his arms around you and never let go.
He caught himself glancing at your lips more than once, wondering what it would feel like to kiss you right here, right now, in the middle of the snowy mountain. To show you, finally, how much he cared, how perfect things could be between the two of you if you'd just let h
But he hadn't said anything yet. Not because he didn't want to, but because... well, because he wasn't sure how you felt. He'd never seen you with anyone else. Sure, you were always friendly, always laughing, but he didn't know if that meant anything more.
So, instead of saying what he really wanted to, Mike kept the conversation light, teasing you, making you laugh and you shot back with your own sarcastic retorts.
Eventually the moon was already high in the sky and it got dark really quickly. You started making your way up to the lodge together, racing on who could arrive first.
When you both arrived at the lodge, the warmth of the fire greeted you, along with the sound of your friends chatting and getting settled in
Mike scanned the room, spotting a seat on the couch. He dropped down into it, stretching his arms out, hoping—praying—that you'd sit next to him. It was still cold, and having you close would have been perfect.
"Come on," he called, patting the empty spot next to him. "I saved you a seat."
You rolled your eyes, shrugging off your coat and getting rid of the snow stuck in your hair. "How generous."
"Hey, I don't offer my couch space to just anyone," he replied with a wink. "Consider yourself special."
You shook your head, laughing softly as you made your way toward him. But just as you were about to sit down, you noticed Matt struggling to carry a mountain of bags. One of the suitcases slipped from his grasp, and without thinking, you stepped over to help him, bending down to pick it up.
"Thanks, man," Matt said with a sheepish grin, adjusting the rest of the bags. "I swear, Emily packed like we're staying for a month."
You chuckled, handing him the suitcase. "No problem. Need any more help?"
"Nah, I think I've got it now," Matt replied. "But I appreciate it. How was the drive up here?" Matt asked, shifting one of the bags in his arms. "Did you come up with anyone?”
"Nah, I came up solo," you replied, shrugging. "It was a nice drive though, peaceful"
"Yeah, I get that. I bet it's nice to have some quiet," Matt said, nodding in agreement. "Emily barely let me get a word in the whole ride. Nonstop talking."
You laughed, shaking your head. "Sounds like a nightmare."
The two of you exchanged a few more words, just casual small talk. Mike' eyes narrowed as he watched the exchange, his jaw tightening. You were talking to Matt, laughing with him, and it bothered him more than he was willing to admit.
The way you smiled at him and the way Matt's eyes lingered on you made Mike's blood boil.
He sat back on the couch, his arms spread out across the cushions, his body language as casual as he could manage.
His fingers drummed impatiently on the armrest, the cold air from outside still lingering in the room, but the warmth of the fire did little to chase away the chill in Mike's mood. He wanted to be near you. Hell, he wanted you sitting next to him right now, your body close to his. The couch had more than enough room, and he'd made sure to stretch out, hoping you'd notice and join him. But instead you kept chatting up with Matt.
It wasn't fair. How could you not see what was happening? How could you not see how much it bothered him? How much did he wanted you? He had spent the whole walk up to the lodge teasing and flirting, practically laying his feelings bare, and yet you were there, caught up in conversation and acting the same way you did with him.
Matt's hand lingered just a little too long as he reached out to take the suitcase back from you and Mike's fingers curled into fists, his jaw tight as he tried to keep his cool.
"So, are you thinking about moving soon?" Matt asked, setting the bags down all together in a spot. "Or are you staying put for a while?"
"I've been thinking about it," you said, nodding. "It'd be nice to have a little more space, you know?"
Mike's grip on the couch tightened, his knuckles turning white. Moving? Why hadn't you mentioned that to him? And why the hell were you telling Matt about it?
Matt smiled, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, I get that. More space is always nice. Have you thought about getting a roommate?"
You chuckled, shaking your head. "Maybe, but for now, I'm good with my own space."
Mike's stomach churned at that. Good with your own space? He had been thinking about how to get closer to you, how to spend more time with you, and you were chatting with Matt about moving and staying solo.
Just as Mike was about to get up and interrupt the conversation, the door swung open, and Emily stormed in, her eyes zeroing in on you and Matt.
"Didn't take you long to start flirting" Emily sneered, crossing her arms over her chest as she approached you and Matt.
Matt looked bewildered, the expression in his face telling you that he knew something you had no clue of. "Emily, it's not like that-"
"Right in front of me? Really, Matt? And with him?" She jabbed a finger in your direction.
You blinked, confused. "What are you talking about?"
Emily's eyes blazed with fury as she took another step closer, her voice rising. "Don't play innocent. You think I didn't notice?"
Your brows furrowed in confusion as your brain tried to make sense of her words. "What?"
"You heard me," Emily snapped, crossing her arms over her chest, her eyes cold and accusatory. "I arrive a bit late and you're already cozying up to him. You couldn't wait, could you? You can't stand to see me with anyone, can you?"
Matt tried to intervene, raising his hands defensively. "Em, come on. He's just helping me out-"
"Stay out of it, Matt," Emily snapped, not even bothering to look at him. "This is between me and him."
"Me?" You were taken aback, genuinely baffled by her sudden hostility. "I didn't do anything."
"Didn't do anything?" she scoffed, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Right. You're so innocent. Always playing the victim, pretending like you don't know what's going on."
Everyone was watching the scene unfold with varying degrees of tension and discomfort. Jessica, sitting by the fireplace, leaned forward slightly, her brows raised in interest. She exchanged a glance with Ashley, who was seated on the arm of the couch beside Chris. Both of them looked uneasy, but there was a flicker of recognition in their eyes. It was as if they knew something had been bubbling beneath the surface for a while, and now it was finally spilling over.
Sam has been sitting near the fireplace, quietly observing, her usual calm demeanor now tinged with a hint of concern. She was the one who had always noticed things others didn't. She has seen the looks Mike had given you, those quick glances that lingered a little too long, the way his whole body seemed to shift when you entered a room.
"You always had to have everything, didn't you?" Emily continued, stepping closer until she was practically in your face. "It wasn't enough that you had to get Mike wrapped around your finger, now you're going after Matt too?"
"Emily, that's not what's happening," you protested, trying to maintain your calm despite the rising tension.
"Don't lie to me," she hissed, jabbing a finger into your chest, her voice cracked slightly, though her bitterness held strong. "God, you probably loved every second of it, didn't you? Just waiting for me to get out of the way so you could swoop in. It's pathetic."
Was she even talking about Matt at this point?
You opened your mouth to respond, but the venom in her words made it hard to get a word in. Her words hit you like a punch to the gut. It was as if all of her insecurities, all of her anger and hurt, were being poured out in this moment, directed squarely at you.
"I never tried to get between you and Mike."
"Oh, right, because it's totally normal for you to be all buddy-buddy with my boyfriend—"
"Ex-boyfriend," you corrected, your tone sharp now.
"Don't get smart with me. You might fool everyone else, but I know what's going on."
"You really want to know why i think Mike left you?" you asked, finally meeting her gaze. She wasn’t the only one with the privilege to say her thoughts. "It wasn't because of me. It was because you couldn't stop being a controlling, manipulative—"
"Watch it," Emily warned, her eyes narrowing dangerously. Her finger jabbed into your chest again, harder this time.
Josh stepped forward, his voice cutting through the thick tension like a knife. "Alright, alright, can we all just take it down a notch?" he said, his usual easy-going grin plastered on his face, but there was an edge to his voice. "This is not why we came here. This is not... helping. If we can’t get along for 10 minutes then we need a little bit of a break, right?"
Emily shot him a glare but didn't argue.
"Mike," Josh said, turning his attention to the brooding figure standing silently by the couch. "Why don’t you check out the guest cabin? The one I told you about."
Mike, still seething, nodded stiffly. "Yeah. Sure."
But before he left, he grabbed your arm, pulling you with him. "Come on," he muttered, his voice low and tense. "Let's go.””
The grip he had on your arm was firm, almost too tight. He seemed angry, and you could feel the heat of his frustration radiating off him as he pulled you out of the lodge.
The cold air hit your face immediately. The heavy wooden door creaked behind you as it closed, and you wrapped your arms tighter around yourself, feeling the chill set in. You glanced over at Mike, expecting some kind of lighthearted comment regarding what has happened. He remained silent however, his jaw tight as he walked ahead of you, hands stuffed deep into the pockets of his jacket.
You sped up slightly to catch up to him, your breath visible in the cold air. "Hey, thanks again for stepping in back there," you said, hoping to ease the awkwardness that had settled between you. "I thought she was gonna tear my head off."
Mike barely glanced your way, his eyes fixed on the snow-covered path ahead. "Yeah," he muttered, his voice flat. "No problem."
The curt response caught you off guard.
"Come on," you tried again, forcing a chuckle. "It's not every day someone gets accused of breaking up a relationship they weren't even part of. I should be charging for that kind of drama."
Mike let out a short, humorless laugh, but it felt forced, and he didn't even look at you.
You watched him carefully as he walked ahead of you, his shoulders tense, his stride a little more aggressive than usual as his boots crunched heavily through the snow.
"Okay, seriously," you said, picking up your pace again to keep up with him. "What's going on with you?
Mike didn't respond immediately, and you could see the way his jaw tightened as he pressed on, his eyes focused on the path ahead.
"You're not secretly plotting revenge on Emily, are you? Because I'm not sure I'm up for a 'Revenge of the Ex' scenario tonight. My ears would bleed if I have to hear her whine again"
Mike's lips twitched slightly, but he didn't say a word, his eyes locked straight ahead. It was like you weren't even there, and the silence between you was becoming suffocating.
You let out a frustrated sigh, shoving your hands into your jacket pockets to ward off the cold. "You know, this silent treatment thing? Not your best look. Seriously, you're acting like I kicked your puppy or something."
Still, nothing. Mike's footsteps crunched against the snow as he moved toward the metal gate blocking the path ahead, his movements jerky and impatient. Mike tugged on the latch, trying to force it open, but the gate stayed stubbornly in place.
"No power," you reminded him, trying to keep your voice light. "The generator should be nearby by"
With a growl of frustration, Mike yanked on the gate harder, the metal clanking loudly in the quiet night. He muttered something under his breath, clearly losing patience as he tried again, his knuckles turning white as he gripped the cold metal.
"Goddammit," he cursed under his breath, giving the gate one more angry shove, but it didn't budge. The clang echoed through the trees, and he stepped back, running a hand through his hair, clearly trying to rein in his temper.
You blinked, watching him in stunned silence for a moment. "Mike," you said cautiously, stepping toward him. "What's going on?“
Mike didn't turn to face you immediately. "Nothing. I'm fine."
"Bullshit," you shot back, crossing your arms. "You're not fine. You've barely said two words to me, and now you're trying to rip a gate off its hinges. Come on. Talk to me. What's really bothering you?"
Mike finally looked up at you then, but the look in his eyes wasn't what you were expecting. Mike's jaw tightened, his frustration bubbling over as he finally spoke, his voice rougher than intended. "Do you even know what Emily was talking about?"
Your eyes widened slightly, and Mike hated the uncertainty that flashed across your face. He should have said something sooner.
"God, you really don't see it, do you?" He stopped pacing, standing still in front of you, his eyes locked onto yours. "I've had a thing for you for... I don't even know how long. But I never said anything because I thought maybe I could push it down. If I ignored it long enough, i thought it'd go away."
Your heart skipped a beat at his confession, but he continued talking and gave you no time to respond. "But it never did. And then seeing you with Matt, it just... it fucking killed me, okay?"
"Mike..." you began, but he cut you off, stepping closer, his eyes burning with intensity.
"I'm tired of pretending," he said, his voice rough with emotion. "I don't want to hide it anymore.”
The weight of his confession hung in the air. You had never expected that Mike, of all people, had been harboring these kinds of feelings for you.
He backed you up until your back hit a tree behind you, the rough bark cold against your jacket, his hands gripping your shoulders as his body pressed against yours. "You have no idea how much I've wanted this," he growled, his breath hot against your lips.
His lips crashed against yours in a heated, desperate kiss. The force of it caught you off guard, but you didn't pull away. Instead, you kissed him back, your hands tangling in his hair as you pulled him closer.
He pinned you against the tree, his larger frame hovering over yours as his tongue pushed past your lips. Your legs parted instinctively, allowing him to settle between them.
You could feel his erection pressing against your thigh, the fabric of his jeans doing little to hide how hard he was for you.
Your soft moans only spurred him on, the sound sending a rush of heat through his veins. Mike's lips moved from your neck to your collarbone, then lower still, trailing a line of kisses down your chest as his hands slid beneath your shirt.
"How long?" you managed to ask between ragged breaths. "How long have you had a thing for me?"
Mike groaned against your skin, his teeth grazing your neck as he pulled back just enough to look at you. His voice was rough, almost guttural, as he admitted, "Too fucking long." His fingers dug into your hips.
"I'm sorry," you whispered, your voice trembling with sincerity. "I didn't know... I didn't see it."
You had been oblivious to all of this. The guilt gnawed at you, and you felt the need to make it right, to show Mike just how much you regretted not noticing, not acting sooner.
Your hands moved down his body, fingers sliding under his shirt, feeling the heat of his skin. Mike inhaled sharply at your touch, his breath catching as you began to undo the button on his jeans.
He looked down at you, confusion flickering in his eyes for a moment as you knelt in front of him. The snow beneath you crunched satisfyingly with your movements. "What are you doing?" His voice was low, unsure but curious.
You glanced up at him, your hands deftly working on his jeans, a shy yet mischievous grin forming on your lips. "I need to show you just how sorry I am," you whispered.
Mike's breath hitched at your words, and he bit his lip as you pulled his jeans down just enough to free him, your hand wrapping around him firmly. He groaned, the sound deep and needy, as his head tilted back slightly, his grip on the tree tightening as he watched you.
You stroked him slowly at first, your movements deliberate, watching the way his hips bucked slightly toward you.
"Fuck" Mike breathed out as he felt your lips brush the tip of him, teasing him just enough to make him curse under his breath. His hand moved to your hair, fingers tangling in the strands as he fought to keep control.
When you finally took him fully into your mouth, Mike let out a strangled moan, his hips instinctively thrusting forward. The heat, the wetness of your mouth, it was overwhelming. Every time you moved, it sent sparks of pleasure shooting through him. He looked down at you, his chest heaving, and the sight of you on your knees for him, your mouth wrapped around him, made something snap inside him.
He couldn't stop himself from moving his hips, thrusting deeper into your mouth, each motion filled with desperation and need. His voice was low, almost growling as he murmured your name between pants, barely able to keep himself in check.
"God, you feel so good," Mike groaned, his eyes locked onto you as his hips moved in sync with your rhythm.
Your tongue swirled around him, sending shivers up his spine, and Mike couldn't think straight anymore.
Just before he could reach the edge, he pulled you back up, his lips crashing against yours in a heated kiss. He wasn't ready to let go just yet. Not when he still had so much more to give you.
His hands slid down to your thighs, lifting you up effortlessly as he once again pressed you against the tree. Your legs wrapped around his waist instinctively, and you could feel the heat of his body against yours, the hard lines of his muscles as he held you up and settled between your legs again.
Mike's hands were everywhere, sliding under your jacket, under your shirt, feeling the warmth of your skin. His teeth grazed your neck as he sucked a mark into the tender flesh there. His fingers moved to your belt, undoing it with a quick flick of his hand.
His breath hitched as he pulled your pants down just enough for your ass to be exposed, the cool air hitting your skin and making you shiver.
His hand slid down between your legs, his fingers brushing against your entrance, teasing you with the lightest of touches.
He kissed you again, rough and urgent, his tongue slipping into your mouth as his fingers slowly began to prep you. He was careful, the last thing he wanted was to hurt you. He took his time, letting his fingers slide in gently, one at first, then two, stretching you carefully as his other hand gripped your waist to hold you steady.
He kissed you harder, his tongue moving in sync with the rhythm of his fingers as he continued to work you open.
"You're so fucking tight," he groaned against your lips, his voice thick with desire. "You're going to feel so good around me."
He stretched you further, his fingers moving faster now, more deliberately. His heart was pounding in his chest, his own arousal pressing hard against his jeans.
His fingers curled inside you, brushing against that sweet spot that made you gasp and arch against him.
Your moans were the only answer he needed and Mike knew you were as ready as he was. He pulled his fingers out slowly, the absence making you whimper, but before you could protest, Mike was already undoing his own jeans, pushing them down just enough to free himself.
He pressed the tip of his cock against your entrance, his hands gripping your waist tightly as he held you steady.
"Tell me you want this," Mike growled, his voice low and dangerous as he looked into your eyes, his breath hot against your lips. "Tell me you want me."
"I want you," you gasped, your voice breathless and desperate as you tightened your legs around his waist, pulling him closer. "I need you... please."
That was all he needed to hear. With a low groan, Mike pushed into you slowly, inch by inch, his cock stretching you in a way that made you gasp. The tightness around him was almost too much, the heat and pressure overwhelming, but it felt perfect.
"Fuck," Mike grunted as he buried himself inside you, his hands gripping your hips hard enough to leave bruises. He could feel every inch of you, the way your muscles clenched around him.
For a moment, he didn't move, just savoring the feeling, the way you fit him so perfectly. His forehead rested against yours, both of you panting, trying to catch your breath.
"You feel so fucking good," Mike groaned, his hands sliding up your back, holding you tight against him as he finally began to move.
You moaned his name softly, your nails digging into his shoulders as you clung to him, and it only made Mike more desperate. His pace quickened, his hips snapping forward with more force now, driving deeper into you with every thrust.
Mike's hands roamed your body, gripping your ass, your thighs, anything he could hold onto as he lost himself in the feeling of you.
His voice barely audible as he kissed you hard, his teeth grazing your lower lip as his thrusts became more frantic, more desperate.
He slammed into you harder now, his hands gripping your hips to pull you down onto him as he thrust up, his cock hitting that perfect spot inside you with every stroke.
Mike could feel his own release building, the pressure becoming almost unbearable as he thrust into you with reckless abandon. His breath was ragged, his heart pounding in his chest, and he could feel the way your body was trembling, the way you clenched around him, pulling him deeper.
"I'm gonna-" Mike's voice broke off into a low groan as the pleasure overwhelmed him, his body tensing as he came hard, his release spilling inside you. His hips jerked forward, his thrusts becoming erratic as he rode out the wave of pleasure.
Both you and Mike found yourselves leaning against the tree, your bodies still pressed close, the cold air doing little to calm the heat that lingered between you. Mike's chest heaved with deep breaths, his forehead resting against yours as he tried to steady himself. His arms still held you securely.
Mike's fingers gently trailed down your back. He gave a low, satisfied hum, his lips grazing your temple as he pressed a soft kiss there.
"I wasn't expecting that kind of apology," Mike murmured, his voice still rough and low, the hint of a smirk pulling at his lips. "But damn... I could get used to it."
You let out a breathy laugh, still a little dazed and breathless yourself. "Well... I owe you after all this time."
Mike chuckled softly, his lips brushing against yours in a lazy kiss before he finally pulled back, his eyes flicking toward the direction of the lodge. He ran a hand through his messy hair, shaking his head slightly in disbelief of everything that had just happened.
"We should probably get to that cabinet," he said, though his voice carried an unmistakable teasing edge.
His hands still hadn't fully left your waist, and you could tell that he wasn't quite ready to let you go. There was a playful glint in his eyes now.
"Yeah, we should," you agreed, your voice soft as you glanced up at him. "I could use a break from the cold."
Mike grinned, finally letting his hands drift from your waist as he helped you adjust your clothes and brushing off the snow that had clung to your clothes. His touch was gentle now, though the way his fingers lingered on your skin as he fixed your jacket told you that his thoughts were far from innocent.
"But you know..." his voice dropped to that low, teasing tone that you were becoming all too familiar with. "I'm not sure one apology is enough. I might need a few more of those. Just to make sure you're really sorry."
You raised an eyebrow at him, unable to stop the smile that tugged at the corners of your lips. "Oh? And what exactly do you have in mind, Monroe?"
Mike leaned in closer, his lips just barely brushing against your ear as he whispered, "Maybe I'll show you when we get to that cabinet. It's nice and private... perfect for a few more 'apologies’."
Mike pulled back slightly, that smirk never leaving his face as he took your hand, leading you back toward the path.
The night had only just begun, and with Mike by your side, it was clear that this was just the start of something much, much deeper.

valentine's day at the lodge
happy valentine's day lovelies! as a sweet treat, here's how i think the until dawn cast would do for you for valentine's day...
for my ladies..
Emily Davis
she would spoil you. Like you'd get some many designer gifts and fancy chocolates AND a floral arrangement personally done by a ton-notch florist
Emily also 100% gets you guys matching items- like we saw Matt and Emily's matching turtlenecks, this bitch wants everyone to know you guys are together.
Spent ages planning the perfect Valentine's day outing- istg she made an itinerary for the day and is constantly looking at her phone to make sure everything's perfect; if you guys steer off of it in any way she may get a little ruffled over it but honestly? she's so happy to spend the say with you she gets over it surprisingly fast- guess your reassuring smile calmed her down
Ashley Brown
she honestly spent so long crafting a thoughtful and sentimental gift it completely slipped her mind that you guys would actually have to do something together
but knowing her, she'd be more of a picnic date or night-in making a homemade meal or ordering in your favorite restaurant and watching sappy romance movies or whatnot
the kind of gift she would make would be an amalgamation of your favorite things- like she'd so buy a copy of your favorite book and learn how to take the pages and make them into paper roses for a bouquet if it didn't hurt her soul to tear a book
her card for you is so sweet- not only would it be handmade, Ashley writes the sweetest and most intimate love letters you could ever imagine like she puts her hobby of writing into good use
Jessica Riley
She had been thinking of spending Valentine's day with you since you two got together- or even since the last one.
"We should do this" "Oh- I should get you this!" "This sounds like such a fun date for Valentine's"
By the time the holiday rolls around, you really have no clue what she's planning for the day
Her gifts are more traditional with a signature Jess spin on it- roses and your favorite flowers in a gorgeous tulle wrapping with a lacy bow tied on it, an ultra-fluffy teddy bear covered in her perfume, and your favorite chocolates ever- the cutest card she spent months searching for on top
You two go to a dinner together and she can not stop taking pictures of you, the two of you, the food.. she's so sentimental and she wants to capture every moment you guys have together
Sam Giddings
She's more of a date person than a gift person, let's be honest
Like she would get you a gift- probably something you mentioned and she made a mental note after seeing your eyes light up- but she's way more of a quality-time person than gift-giving
Since she's more of an outdoorsy person, she'd be more prone to a picnic or going to a restaurant with an absolutely beautiful view- you and her underneath the stars is a dream for her, honestly
she for sure handmade her card, her signature art on it with a very sweet yet simple message- she's very thoughtful, but her actions speak louder than words
Hannah Washington
Valentine's Day is her favorite holiday, and she makes it obvious
As romantic as a dinner date would be, she's a homebody at heart- your date would be something like a night in baking or making a meal together and sifting through Josh's film collection to find some sappy yet artful romances
ALL of her gifts are handmade- even if she bought something, she always put her own spin on it, and she gets really shy when admitting that to you
Her favorite kind of gifts are baking you your favorite cookies or crafting an elaborate card specially made for you, and her note was so long she stuffed papers into the card and wrote "happy valentine's day" on the card itself\
Beth Washington
she's more traditional- roses, a box of fancy chocolates, and a sweet card
however, this woman takes you to a romantic brunch then finishes it off with a lovely dinner
she's very sweet but romantic stuff isn't her strongsuit so a lot of her efforts are in collaboration with Hannah
one of your gifts was your favorite cookies baked homemade by Beth and Hannah- which you find sweeter because of the time she took to make sure everything was perfect
for my fellas..
Mike Munroe
he has so much experience- he works with the basics
a beautiful bouquet of roses that are your favorite color/a color that reminds him of you, a well-picked box of chocolates, and a candle-lit dinner at a luxury restaurant that he definitely did not get a reservation for a month in advance
mike got you a lingerie set as a gag gift- "something for the both of us, you know? since it is a holiday for couples- just kidding.. I mean unless-"
let's just say it might have been put to use that night depending on how he was acting
Chris Hartley
let's be honest, his first valentine's day with you is his first valentine's day with anyone- so he makes sure he gets it perfect
chris definitely has a note in his phone with everything there is to know about you- your favorite flowers, food, restaurants, even your least favorites; he didn't want to mess anything up
Josh helped a lot with his planning- helping him plan a nice dinner, finding chris a good florist on his budget, etc
he's more the type to gift you something thoughtful, and more into more relaxed dates than anything- maybe making you a nice meal, or spending the night in playing video games or just spending time together
Matt Taylor
similar to mike, matt goes a more traditional route- but I feel matt is more chill
he'd take you to a restaurant he knows in his gut you'll like, even if you've never been before
he is so giddy- he spent so much time and thought planning this, he almost spoiled his surprise for you the week before, and you already had a feeling what he was giving you
his gift is very personal; i feel like he'd get you matching jewelry or something with his name on it- he likes claiming what's his, after all
Josh Washington
everyone thinks Josh is the type to lavish you in luxuries- but honestly? I think he's humble, and more of a "it's the thought that counts" sort of guy
like yes, he's gifted you some expensive gifts, but they were all things he knew you would like- not just something you'd appreciate because of the price tag
if anything, he's the kind of guy to set up a movie night in, or to make a scrapbook of all his favorite memories of you two
the most extreme he's gotten one year is a weekend away at the lodge with just the two of you
"sure, I could get you some $500 necklace, but a night with you is something I couldn't put a price tag on."

Hii I’m back again to ask if you could please write headcannons of how UD characters would react waking up & you telling them you had a dream of them having sex & feeling needy bc of it ?? (Assuming they’re together) 🙂↔️
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Ooooo, okay! 👀
NSFW down below!
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Josh ~ Ohhhhh God, Josh would be the biggest tease. It would also boost his ego by like 1000%. He has that much of an effect on you that you had an actual sex dream about him? Man, what a flex! And it was so good that you want him right now? He would chuckle at this, already sitting up and preparing to recreate the scene. He's really dedicated to recreating settings since he dreams of being a film producer.
"Awww, needy because you dreamed of me fucking you silly? Look at you, already soaked through your little panties. Lay back and let me do all the work, beautiful. I got you."
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Chris ~ The way this mf would blush omfg it would make his whole year! He actually made a girl have a sex dream so intense she's ready to go as soon as she wakes up? No fucking way. Making a girl dream about you is wild enough, let alone this! He would be jumping at the opportunity to fulfill your desires as soon as you tell him what the dream was about.
"Wait, wait, wait... You had a dream... About me? Wow... Wow... This is unbelievable. Lay back. Let me do this for you. I need to."
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Mike ~ Ahhh Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike... Mike... Lmao he would be SO cocky. Even more than Josh, actually. Before you can even finish telling him about your dream, he's on top of you, already kissing your neck. He thinks he doesn't have to hear anymore, since he already knows every single thing that makes you tick.
"Shh, shh, shh. Let me take care of you, baby. You like that, yeah? Yeah? Let your big strong man make you feel good. You want that, huh? Just let me do the work, baby."
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Matt ~ Matt would be the biggest sweetheart over it, chuckling fondly and planting a soft kiss to your forehead. He would listen intently, a dopey and tired smile on his face as he watches you rant away about every detail that happened in the dream. And then he would ask what specifically you would like him to do for you to make you feel as good as you felt when you were sleeping.
"Awe that's so sweet, babe. I'm even on your mind while you're dreaming, hm? Want me to do anything for you? Don't worry about it being late and me having football practice tomorrow. You come first. What do you need me to do for you?"
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Sam ~ Sam would honestly be flattered that you had a dream about her. She would hold you, rub your back, and caress your hair as you tell her about your dream. Aw, you're so sweet and worked up right now for her. How did she get so lucky. Of course, she would want to help you in any way she can.
"Aww, sweetie. You don't have to ask me twice, okay? I'm here for you. Just lay back and relax, okay? I'll make you feel better."
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Ashley ~ Y-You had a sex dream??? About her??? Wow, this is something Ashley has written about in her fanfics, but never even dreamed of it happening to her. She would be blushing wildly as you talked her through what danced in your mind as you slumbered, before bashfully asking if you want to recreate the moment in real life.
"Oh... Oh wow... I've only read about this stuff before but I didn't think it could be possible. Not for me. Would you... Would you want to do this... In real life... Like... Right now? No pressure, of course!"
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Jess ~ Jess would be shocked. Like she plays it off cocky but she didn't think this would happen. She isn't all that confident in the effect she has on you, despite what she says. So to hear this boosts her ego a little bit. She wouldn't admit it to you, but it almost made her want to cry.
Emily ~ I'm gonna be blunt, Emily would be pissed that you woke her up. How fucking dare you disturb her beauty sleep?! But to hear that it was because you were needy for her eases her frustration just by a small amount. Still, that's not gonna stop her from taking her anger out on you just a little bit in a way you crave for.
"You... You what? I-I mean, hell yeah! I bet I'm on that mind every night, huh? How about you just lay back and let me rock your world. I'll give you something to put you right back to sleep, baby."
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
"What the fuc— Are you fucking serious? I need my fucking sle— Oh... Oh... Okay, fine. Just this once. Now lay still while I get the cuffs..."
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭

‼️PLEASE READ‼️
Hello!!! Welcome to this fic!
This fic will be Josh x Reader
Ever read a choose your own adventure book? Or played one of Markiplier's games? This is just like that!
Just like the game there will be different stories and endings you can get
There will be a total of 10 chapters (11 if you include the prologue) and I will be doing my best to align them with the chapters in the game
When I drop an update I will be dropping an entire chapter at once so you can play a whole chapter seamlessly!
Speaking of updates you will have to bear with me and the time between updates because I will have to plan out entire chapters with multiple different storylines all at once
If you happen to be stalking me and see a new post right as it is posted but can't find the rest of the chapter or the links aren't working please give me a few minutes because I will have to link everything together after it is posted
Since the original game also has different stories you can follow based on the choices others make I will be choosing some of the options for others.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
How to Play
The prologue and chapter one will only have one beginning Most other chapters will have more than one beginning though that will depend on your choices and how you ended the last chapter If you can't remember or find the beginning you are supposed to start on I will be linking them all below as each chapter is posted If your problem is being unable to remember which beginning you need to start on then the best option would to be to go through the route you played real fast and once you reach the last post there will be a link to the next chapter once it is posted (lmk if that doesn't make sense) Other than that every post with a choice will end with two links that will take you the choice you made. Please let me know if a link takes you to the wrong post. Every post will be titled the same as the choice you just chose. (see the prologue as an example once it is posted)
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Masterlist
Prologue
Chapter #1
Chapter #2 - Beginning #1 - Beginning #2
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
And that's it so far! Today is 10/20/24 and I will likely be posting the prologue sometime this week! If you have any questions regarding the plot or anything else feel free to send them in! If you have any suggestions for the plot please send those too! Just know I have some of this planned out already so I may not take your suggestion but I appreciate it anyway!! Any likes, reblogs, comments, fanart, whatever you want is greatly appreciated!!

Can you do some more until dawn characters (yandere please) like you’re trying on clothes at the mall and ask their opinion?
YANDERE UNTIL DAWN CHARACTERS + READER IS TRYING ON CLOTHES
A/N: thank you for reading my until dawn content! it's such a small fandom these days, comments/reblogs/anon reviews/asks are appreciated as they let me know people are still reading these.
- Josh has an excellent eye for aesthetics. He may not know all the words/names for the types of clothes you look good in but he recognizes them right away. He’ll try and describe something you should get, give up, wander off, then come back with examples of what he meant while you’re in the dressing room. If the shopping trip is under four hours he can remain locked in the entire time. This is the strength of will and character that comes with being the big brother to two little sisters who got his driving license first. He’s spent entire lifetimes at the mall hyping up the twins. He knows what to do. Overall helpfulness: 8/10.
- Sam loves spending quality time with you. Quality time is one of her preferred love languages, in fact. She picks you up for your shopping day with your favorite coffee shop order in hand, from the best place in town. She’s good with little details like that. You can always count on her to give you her honest opinion on what you pick out. She’s gentle about it, but she’ll never let you wear something she thinks is unflattering. She’s also mindful of waste consumption. With Sam’s help you wind up picking things you love, are comfortable wearing, and that you’ll actually use. Not a penny wasted, no matter how much you spend. Overall helpfulness: 10/10.
- Chris could not possibly, in any version of reality, fix his mouth to give you a criticism about any of your choices. Let alone choices about how you will go about decorating your body. He’s lucky he gets to look at you. It’s an honor! Thank you for honoring him! Every time you step out of the dressing room you will get the exact same answer, very enthusiastically, in the same tone: “That looks GREAT, babe!” You’ll be ready to kill him thirty minutes in. Absolutely worthless feedback. You’ll have to get help from the salespeople who work there for opinions. If you want a ‘yes man’ this is your guy! Overall helpfulness: 3/10.
Hannah is another sap. She’s more helpful than Chris, but only by the slightest margin. If something doesn’t look good she’ll be able to stutter her way around to it…. eventually. She’s nearly petrified at the thought of upsetting you. Never-mind the fact that you’ve asked her how the top looks on you five times now. “Well…. I mean… how do YOU think it looks, Y/N?” As if you’d be asking if you could come up with an opinion yourself. You’ll wind up leaving with only a few items. You’ll have to come back with a friend in a few days. You may need a new wardrobe, but if you need help picking it out, you’ll need a different set of eyes. Overall helpfulness: 4/10.
- Emily is going to be honest to the point that, yes, it will hurt your feelings a little… if you’re lucky. Mileage may vary. If you’re particularly sensitive she’ll hurt your feelings a lot. But god forbid you start trying to take someone nicer shopping with you. She’ll throw the hissy fit of the century when she finds out. Yes, when, and not if. Emily manages to find out everything you try to keep from her. Everything. On one hand you’ll wind up looking the best you’ve ever looked. Your entire wardrobe suits you perfectly. She even buys/picks out things that you’ll like, in your style, even if she finds the style personally distasteful. That’s how much she loves you. It just has to suit you, or else she will say something, and the way she says it is never very nice. You’ll look incredible, but at what cost to your mental health? Overall helpfulness: 8/10.
- Mike isn't very enthusiastic about the activity, but likes the good boyfriend points it garners him. Thus, he will come along whenever you bid him to do so. He’s only got about two and a half hours of shopping in him though, so try and have an idea of what you want to get in your mind. Before you arrive at the stores, please. If you take a long lunch break he can go back for another two hours but this is his hard limit. Knows well enough what you already look good in. Or when something looks downright awful on you. He does struggle a little to help if you’re wanting to try a completely new style. He’s as lost as you. The more underground/alternative/particular the style you want to try is, the worse the advice gets. If you’re just doing a wardrobe refresher this is your man. Overall helpfulness: 6/10.
- Beth makes shopping relaxing. You’ll stay as long as you need in order to get everything you need. She probably had you make a Pinterest board before you guys went out so that you’d be able to refer back to it. She knows getting into the stores can wipe your mind clean of what you needed/wanted to get. She’ll have you guys stop for lunch as well, but then you’re right back at it! She likes seeing your style evolve and change. Her feedback is honest, but gentle. It won’t ever feel like a criticism of your body, just the clothing. You walk out satisfied and always happier than when you came in together. Overall helpfulness: 10/10.
- Jessica is in her element here. Honestly, Jessica drags you shopping with her more than you’ll ever drag her shopping. Spending time together means a lot to Jessica. She never takes it for granted. Thus, she always tries to make any activity, but especially repeat ones like shopping, fun. She probably has a shopping playlist she made for the two of you. You both wear one wireless earbud and get to movie montage with each other. Watch out if the Princess Diaries songs or something Hip-hop comes on, she’ll start dancing to make you laugh. Her feedback is upbeat and positive, but honest. She hypes you up like crazy when you come out wearing something that makes you look really hot! Wolf whistles and everything, your face will be burning up as you flee back into the safety of the dressing room. “Baby, come back! You look smoking!” Overall helpfulness: 9/10.
- Matt knows absolutely nothing about fashion. He tries his very best to help, but he’s at a loss. Only if something very obviously doesn’t suit you will he be able to veto it for you. “I dunno… maybe it’s a little awkward in the arms or…. something?” You’ll have to take a few breaths. However, if something looks good, he can absolutely be a hype man! His eyes light up, he takes your hand, makes you do a spin. All the attention is enough to make you kick your feet and giggle. He can compliment you all day long. To his credit, he can compliment you specifically enough on what looks good. Even if it’s still a little vague. “The color of this makes you look really… wow! You know?” You’ll be able to figure out he means jewel tones make your skin look glowy one of these days. For now, at least you know your boyfriend thinks you’re gorgeous no matter what you wear. Overall helpfulness: 5/10.

“ALL YOU WANTED” EMILY DAVIS X TOUGH! FEM!READER

SUMMARY : You and Emily are best friends…but best friends always means something more these days right?
WARNINGS : lesbian smut
A/N : this takes place when they all go back to the cabin.
It hadn’t even been an hour of all of you coming up to the mountain and you were witnessing Emily Davis and Matthew Taylor break up.
All because she had went to see Michael.
Despite you being Emily’s best friend, you could see where Matt was coming from. Getting caught having a conversation was not a good look.
You were even surprised at Emily being your best friend but the two of you were the meanest people in your own way so it kind of made sense.
You were made her best friend by force though in ninth grade where she forced you to sit with her at lunch because she thought you were pretty. Now you two were besties.
For better or worse? You’d have to find out.
“God, Matt! It didn’t mean anything! Get over it!”
Mike raised his hand as if he was in the classroom. “I can vouch for that. Trust me, I do not want her anymore.”
You were sitting in a chair, eating a cookie, watching the whole scene play out. You knew something was going to happen and you didn’t know if you wanted to stop it or keep it going.
Emily angrily turned to Mike at the statement. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“I think he means he doesn’t want to fuck skank anymore.” Jess replied for Mike.
Not only could you not help but comment because you were Emily’s best friend but because you always had to make your own remark of common sense. You finished your cookie and dusted your hand off. “If that’s the case then why is he fucking you?”
Emily had laughed at what you said and bit her lip to hold back her smile. Matt shook his head, rubbing his temples in irritation while Mike just did a whistle and looked away from the situation.
“I’m sorry? Did I ask you to bud in Ms. School Drop out?” Jess asked you while standing up from the couch where she was sitting next to Mike with.
“No but something told me that you needed a reality check and well, here I am to give it to you.” You told her, brushing off her calling you a drop out with ease.
“Don’t you find it a tad bit pathetic you follow Emily around all the time?”
“No. But what I do find pathetic is you not having any men to choose from so you chose your best friends man.”
“Last I heard, your relationship is dead so you don’t get to tell me how to live mine.”
Emily had watched the whole argument, entertained because you were winning. Up until the last remark Jessica said and she didn’t think she could go lower.
Beth was your girlfriend a year ago. Before everything happened. You had blamed everyone for a long time. Healed from it. Even from Emily. Emily apologized multiple times, which was unlike her to be honest and you forgave her.
This is why you never forgave Jessica because here she was, throwing that in your face.
The room felt silent. As if they knew the damage Jessica had done.
You stood up slowly from your chair then began to walk towards her. “You wanna try that again?”
Jessica gave you a deadpanned look. She would be a little scared but she knew that Emily would stop you before you hit her. So she kept going. “Don’t talk about saving people’s relationships when you couldn’t even save your own.”
Emily saw your fist balled up and instead of you hitting her, you gave her a warning push. A push so aggressive, it landed Jessica back on the couch. “Hey!”
As much as Emily wanted to see you kick her ass, she knew it would be trouble. It wouldn’t be the petty cat fight that she knew she would face up against Jess. You knew how to fight and you knew how to hurt her.
Jessica came from a wealthy family and Emily did not want to see you go to jail for a petty argument.
Emily immediately got in between the two of you. Then stood right in front of you. “Calm down. She’s not worth it.”
Mike brought Jess towards him. “Both of you, stop it.” He said.
“I can’t do it.” You said. “I have to hit something.”
“Just relax.” Emily told you. “Breathe. It’s going-“
“See, Emily. All you do is bring drama and I’m sick of it.” Matt started to say. “Look what we’re all doing! Because of you!”
You had chose your target. You turned around, facing Matt. Then you gave him your best punch. Him falling to the ground and him holding his mouth.
“(Y/N)!” Emily scolded you.
You ignored her. Then you left out the back door.
You needed some air and were fine if you had to freeze to death in order to get it. You hated the way people got in your head. You were a hothead and it got the best of you sometimes.
Emily was right behind you. “Hey! (Y/N)! Slow down!”
You sighed and stopped in your tracks, allowing Emily to catch up to you. “Look I’m sorry I-“
“I don’t care, meat head! Put this on.”
You looked to see it was your jacket that you had left in the lodge. You grabbed your jacket and started place it on you.
Emily looked down to your hand and saw the bruises on your knuckles. She shook her head and placed a hand on her hip. “You really did knock the shit out of my ex boyfriend didn’t you?”
You sighed, feeling guilty of your actions. Emily was the only person who could make you feel guilty. “Look, Em I’m sorry. I know I shouldn’t have hit your-“ Then you had thought about what she said. “Did you say ex-boyfriend?”
“Yeah I did. He’s too soft for me obviously and I don’t have time for that. And he left my bag with all my expensive clothes in it! That idiot.”
You knew the two wouldn’t last that long but that was pretty fast you had to say.
Emily grabbed your hand and started to lead the way. “Help me look for it.”
“Ugh. Why do I gotta help you look for it?”
“Because I said so!”
You knew best not to argue with her so you let her lead the way. Besides, you weren’t going to let her be out by herself anyway.
The two of you walked to the picnic table area. Emily looked over to one of the tables and saw a carving. She dusted the snow off and saw your initials with Beth’s.
She felt jealousy when she had looked at the carving but knew she had to swallow it. “Wow. You must’ve really loved her huh?”
You were confused. You walked over and saw the carving for yourself and remembered. “Oh…that…” You leaned against the picnic table, looking down a little. “I liked her. A lot. Can’t say I loved her though. It takes a lot for me to do that.”
Emily nodded at your choice of words. It made sense. You’ve had a lot of girlfriends before Beth and you had never really loved any of them. Love was a hard thing for you and she understood that.
You decided to change the subject. “What’s so important in this bag anyway?” You asked her.
Emily smirked when you had questioned it. “Oh just my undies. The lace ones.”
You raised a brow when you had noticed the flirty tone in her voice. Emily would always flirt with you but you had always considered it to be friendly flirting and nothing romantic attached to it so you played along.
“Well we don’t need those.”
Unbeknownst to you, Emily was actually flirting with you. She had always had a secret crush on you but was too scared to do anything. Also, she was used to people hitting on her. Not her hitting on other people.
“You don’t want me to model them for you.” Emily asked you. She did a little spin so you could examine her body.
Your eyes darted all over her and it was at this point you were starting to realize that you also flirted with her more than the friendly way. “I’m just going to rip them off of you anyways.”
Emily had did something she never did before. She took a step towards you. Then grabbed your hands and made them be on her body. “You ever done it outside before?”
You were intrigued at how far Emily was willing to go to just play flirt with you which was confirming in your mind that she was serious. But how could she be serious? You two were just friends.
You had laughed at her question. “Have you?”
“No. But maybe I want to.” Emily went to tug at belt of your jeans which made you groan a little. You felt her breath on your neck and her kissing softly. “I cant with this on though.”
You moaned at the soft kisses that she placed on your neck. Yeah. She definitely wasn’t playing anymore.
Emily pulled away from your neck. She looked you directly in your eyes. You pushed away the hair that was in her face. She looked so beautiful to you.
Emily leaned in and kissed you on the lips. You didn’t hesitate. You cupped the back of her neck with your right hand and kissed her back.
You used your left hand to place on her hip and bring her closer. Emily moaned and continued to kiss you like she was hungry. She had been waiting for this.
It was freezing out but the two of you didn’t feel any cold. You were in each other’s warmth.
You just had to confirm something. You pulled away from her lips. The two of you slightly out of breath. “Wait a second.” Emily looked annoyed at you for stopping but waited for you to ask her what you needed. “Are we straight girl kissing or gay girl kissing?”
Emily shook her head at how unserious but serious you could be. “The second one.” She confirmed before going straight back to kissing you.
That made you more bolder in your movements. You picked Emily up by her ass and made her legs wrap around your waist. Emily moaned in the kiss while you sat her down on the picnic table.
Your lips went down to her neck. Instead of kissing you sucked on her sweet spots making her moan, gripping you. “God that feels so good.” Emily commented.
You pushed your knee in between Emily and made your knee make contact with her clothed area. She moaned at the friction you were going and made you pull away from her neck. “I can’t take this. Let’s go to the lodge.”
You were still lost a little. Surprised this was happening. “O-“ You couldn’t finish your sentence as Emily was already dragging you back to the lodge.
The two of you walked back into the lodge. Emily paid no mind to the people that were in the living room and dragged you upstairs, all the way to the room Emily had picked out.
When the door was closed, the two of you were back on each other. The two of you took your shoes off while you made out.
You helped Emily take her jacket off and throw in on the floor. Emily did the same for you. Emily pushed you on the bed. You sat there, watching her.
Emily’s hands went to your belt and started to unbuckle your pants. When she had finally got your pants to unbuckle, you grabbed her and laid her on the bed.
You got on top of her and took off her shirt. She was wearing a lace purple bra. You gave her a look. “All your lace underwear was in your bag huh?”
Emily giggled and kissed you. You kissed her back. You never kissed anyone the way you were kissing Emily. It was different.
That’s when you realized it was always different with Emily.
You unbuttoned her pants and helped her take them off. Her underwear matched her bra.
“Why am I the only one naked?” Emily complained while kissing you.
“It’s more fun that way.”
“Yeah, fun for you.”
You chuckled and removed her underwear. Leaving her exposed. You licked your index and middle finger before placing it on her clit and rubbing it in circles.
Emily moaned loudly. She gripped on your arm. You started off slow and teasingly. You didn’t have to do much. She was already wet from you.
You found your rhythm and started to go a little bit faster on her clit. She tried to meet your rhythm but any time she’d get too excited, you’d slow down.
“Stop torturing me, (Y/N).”
You laughed. You kissed her gently on the lips and picked back the pace. Emily moaned loudly in the kiss. You stuck your fingers in her pussy, knowing she was wet enough. The palm of your hand hit her clit while you kept the fast pace.
“God, (Y/N). Yes.” Emily tried to quietly moan but came out of extremely loud. It’s like she didn’t care to be quiet and wanted all the pleasure she could get from you.
Emily’s hands went to her chest. She held on to her chest while throwing her head back. You regretted not taking off her bra before starting.
Her clit constantly bounced off from the palm of your hand and Emily felt herself getting close. “Wait. I’m almost there. Stop.”
You kissed her on the neck. Licking and sucking on her sweet spots. “Why stop? I want you to cum on my fingers.”
Emily moaned at your words. “I want you though.”
You understood what Emily was trying to say and pulled away from her pussy. Then licked your fingers clean off. “Mmhm. I kinda want you to sit on my face.”
Emily shoved your shoulder, making you laugh. “No, (Y/N). Come on. I want you.”
You took off your pants. Then slid off your underwear and threw them somewhere. Emily was about to place her fingers on your clit but you stopped her. “Trust me, I’m already wet from you moaning.”
Emily bit her lip smiling and you got on top of her. You made sure to position your clit above hers before looking at her. “This is not how I expected to spend my weekend.”
She took off your shirt, leaving you in your bra. “Isn’t this so much better?”
“It is.” You couldn’t deny. You kissed Emily on her lips again before placing your clit directly on top of hers. The you were moving slowly.
You knew Emily all too well because you were best friends which meant you knew Emily never had sex with a woman before. So you tried moving slowly for her.
Emily was doing exactly what you knew she would do. Getting sensitive quickly. Emily let out a sharp moan. She clung onto your body, not expecting to be so sensitive. She was whimpering, pleading for you to get her to cum.
“You sound so sexy.” You told her. You tried to ease her in by kissing her lovingly all over body.
“Don’t stop. Oh god, yes.” Emily was practically screaming and you should’ve figured she would by how sensitive she was.
“Your boyfriends might hear you.” You jokingly said to her while kissing all over her body.
“I don’t care. Just get me to cum all over you. Please.”
You could’ve came off her just moaning for you. You should’ve figured Emily was submissive. She was a brat. You gripped onto her leg and went faster. Your pussies colliding against each other. Making the both of you moan in pleasure.
Emily’s hands felt like fire on your body. She unclipped your bra from the back and threw the bra on the floor somewhere.
As you kept your pace, you noticed Emily staring at you in awe. You tilted your head at her. “What?”
“You’re so beautiful.”
You weren’t expecting her to say that. You bent down to give her a sloppy kiss on her lips. She returned it.
“Mmhm. (Y/N). Let me get on top.”
You pulled away from her warmth and laid down on the bed. Emily got on top of you and placed her pussy back on yours. You chuckled at the gasp she had let out. It was far more sensitive for her to be on top than you.
“You sure you don’t want me on top?” You teased a little.
“Shut up.” Emily more so moaned and started to move on you. She didn’t go slow though. She went back to the fast pace you were doing.
You moaned, hugging onto her hips and helping her move. “Shit. Keep going. Just like that.” You went to unclip her bra and when you did, you immediately started to rub her titties.
Emily moaned at you playing with her nipples while trying to focus on her pace. “Oh god. (Y/N).”
You noticed Emily was losing her pace so you went back to her hips and helped her move on you. “Come on, baby. Move your pussy on me.”
You calling Emily baby turned her on and motivated her to move even faster on you. “(Y/N)?”
Noticing she was asking you something and not moaning your name, you nodded, still feeling immense pleasure. “Yeah?”
“When I make you cum on my pussy you’re going to be mine.”
You knew that was Emily’s way of asking to be your girlfriend but she was always the demanding type. You closed your eyes, feeling yourself become closer to release. You gripped her hips tighter. “You make me cum, you can have anything you want.”
Emily’s hands reached to your chest and started to play with your titties. You moaned at the touch. “I’m so close.” She told you.
You watched Emily’s chest bounce up and down. You couldn’t help but lick your lips. Seeing it was starting to make you close. “Keep going. I’m almost there too.”
Emily whined at how sensitive she felt herself start to get. You notice her slowing down some and you were so close you didn’t even want to help her anymore.
You flipped her on the bed and quickly got back on top. Your pussies continued to make out with each other. Wetness was heard all around the room and was even starting to go down your leg.
“(Y/N), I need you.” You felt Emily’s nails claw at your back and you knew it was only moments before she came all over you.
“Cum all over my pussy, baby. You can do it.” You said while kissing on her neck.
“Oh, god. (Y/N). Yes.”
You felt yourself coming undone, closing your eyes. “Fuck, Emily.”
“Yes, yes. I’m cumming. Oh god I’m cumming. (Y/N).”
You felt yourself cum and Emily was following right behind you. Your pussies became so wet that the juice soaked the bed sheets.
You continued to move until you knew both of you were done. You got up from her and laid down next to her.
Emily grabbed the blanket and placed it on top of the two of you. “I can’t believe I waited that long to do that.”
You chuckled before nodding. “Yeah. Me too.” You turned to look at her, seriously. “So…how do you wanna play this?”
Emily sighed, knowing what you meant. “They’re all just drama filled. I just want to stay up here with you.”
“It’s gonna come out. Especially at how loud you were.” Emily hit your shoulder at what you said and rolled her eyes.
“Well they’ll just be mad they couldn’t get me to scream like that.” She said before kissing you.
So you were with your best friend now? Not what you expected.

Never have I ever...
Yes, this was a request, and it is not proofread! Anyways, hope you like it, and I'll be working on some more this evening. Don't know if I can post tonight though, but we'll see. Trying to stay optimistic, and finally exams are over so I can actually do whatever I want. Anyways, enjoy, and requests are still open <3
Small prequel to the story (not necessary for this one)
Word count: 2,5 k (Unedited)
The night was still young, music playing and people chatting. Thank god the Washingtons said yes to host, because this type of mess would’ve left me in tears. And we were barely getting started. I take another sip of my drink, hoping to get that good dizzy feeling a little quicker.
“Boo!” Josh yells, grabbing me from behind. I shriek, giving a loud scream. He’s quick to put a hand over my mouth, almost too quick. Like he was anticipating it.
“Jeez, sorry. Don’t scream, people are gonna think I murdered you or something”
I clutch my chest, heart still beating hard and fast. This man will be the death of me.
“You almost did” I whisper, hitting his head. He smiles, taking my hand in the air, pulling it up to his lips. He leaves a trail of wet kisses down my wrist, each peck more sensual than the last. During this, the eye contact remains, strong blue orbs cutting through me. It’s almost as if I can see how hard he wants to ravage me. The thought alone makes me heat up, underwear getting wetter. He notices my blush, which makes his signature smirk form on his lips. Oh… he’s thinking about stuff, that dark and sinister side of him taking over.
“Hey guys… what are you doing?” Jess yells, stopping in the doorway. I jolt away quickly, looking down at my wrist.
“My bracelet fell off, couldn’t fasten it on my own”
She looks convinced, maybe she knows how hard they actually are to click shut. She waves her hand, signalling for us to come.
“Okay, anyways, drinking game and both of you are joining”
“Coming” I say, looking back at Josh. We’d been dating for a while now, though we hadn’t told the others yet. We wanted to figure things out on our own first, check that we matched. If it didn’t work out, it would affect all the others, and we would rather just try to get back to normal.
He’s still staring me down, challenging me to leave him in the dark. I smile, taking hold of his hand and dragging him with me to the living room. Everyone is sitting on either the floor or the couch.
“So, what are we playing?” I ask, sitting down beside Sam. Josh walks over to Chris, nudging his arm to give him room on the couch.
“Never have I ever” Ashley answers unenthusiastically. I know she thinks the game is boring, that she already knows everyone’s secrets. Well, almost everyone. Emily lines up the shot glasses, laying them on the table in the middle of the crooked circle we’ve created.
“Quick question” Sam asks. “Can we only ask about things we’ve done before, or can I ask anything? Like even if I’ve never done it”
“You’ve never played before?” Matt asks, looking over at her.
“Yes I have, but there are different versions of it”
“You can ask anything you want” Jess answers, settling everything. “I’ll start”
“Never have I ever had a thing for someone in this room”
I watch as every single one in the room takes a shot. Hard start I guess. I look over at Josh, who gives me a wink before pouring down the content. I take a deep breath, trying to get over the taste as quickly as possible. This was gonna be a long night. We continue the game, going in a circle so everyone gets to ask a question. Beth goes after Jess.
“Okay, never have I ever stolen something”
Mike, Matt, Jess, Hannah and Josh drink. Emily looks over at Mike with contempt before questioning him.
“When have you ever stolen something?”
“Stole your heart, didn’t I” he grins, kissing her on the cheek. Hannah rolls her eyes, and Jess is looking at them a little too hard. If someone decided to dig into that, I wouldn’t want to be in the room. Matt breaks the silence, asking the next question.
“Anyways, I have a good one. Drink if you’ve had sex with someone in the room”
Everyone but Ashely, Jess, Chris and Matt drinks. I’m actually surprised. I would’ve thought that Jess and Matt would’ve gotten it going once or twice. Ashley and Chris were no surprises though, they couldn’t even confess to each other. It would take some time for them.
I drink down the liquid, noticing Josh doing the same thing. He smiles, a sweet one that makes no one suspicious. I look away, getting to see Sam finishing her glass.
“Something you wanna tell me?” I tease, looking over the room.
“You need to get me more drunk to get anything out of me” she laughs, nudging my arm.
“Okay, my turn” Mike exclaims, grunting a little from the last shots.
“Never have I ever used knives while having sex”
I quickly take the shot, making sure to do it as discreetly as possible. Luckily, most eyes are on Josh, as he drinks up.
“What? Why would you do that”
“You’re sadistic!”
“Was this your idea, or your partner’s?”
Josh just shakes his head in response, refusing to give them a satisfactory answer. I smile at him, trying to hold my laughter as everyone is teasing him. He gives me that known sinister smirk again, sitting up, capturing everyone’s eyes with his movement.
“I think you missed a certain other person in the room who’s also had some experience in this area. Don’t give me all the attention”
“Jerk” I mouth to him, everyone’s heads turning to me. Matt lets out a whispering exhale, and Ashley’s holding her hand over her mouth to stop her laughter. I put my hands up as a surrender.
I tried something. As if you guys haven’t done freaky shit” I say, my finger pointing over every single person in the circle.
“To build on the sex-related ones” Emily starts, shifting everyone away from me. Thank god.
“Never have I ever been tied up”
I nervously take another shot, but calm down as more people join this one. Both Emily and Mike join, as well as Beth. Josh licks the rim of his glass, eye contact going hard before gulping down the liquid once again.
Hannah is next in line, and I hope for a non-sex one. She glances around the room before taking a breath, the circle waiting in anticipation.
“Never have I ever fucked in my best friends house”
I drink at the same time as Sam, and we look at each other wide eyed. In MY house? She had sex under my roof without me knowing.
“You had sex in my house??” We both shout at the same time. Many others drank as well, but our joined voices make everyone burst out in laughter.
“When was this?” I ask, and she just smiles.
“As if you’re gonna tell me yours. I’m not spilling any more than I have to”
“Well, I hope at least you didn’t spill too much in MY house” I smirk, and she shoves me. A particular loud “What” followed by Josh’s laughter makes us look on the other side.
“Dude, what the hell, I haven’t even hosted yet” Chris exclaims, arms wide in confusion.
“Don’t worry, we were quick, you didn’t even know” he laughs, giving me a little side glance.
“Wait, that means… The only one you could’ve done it with was-” Josh smacks a hand over his mouth, making everyone shout at him.
“Stop!”
“We wanna hear!”
He leans over to Chris, whispering something in his ear. This makes him stop squirming, and he removes the hand carefully as everyone is waiting in anticipation.
“So” Jess begins. “Who was it”
“Can’t tell, bro-code”
She throws a pillow at him, causing a small snicker to escape his lips. The room fills with sighs as they don’t get to know who the culprit is. It’s me, I know it, Josh knows it, and not Chris knows as well. He raises his eyebrows my way, and I mouth a little “sorry” back. We weren’t gone for long when it happened. Just a quick thing in his bathroom while he and Ashley tried starting up the console in the living room.
Sam goes next, facing me with a smug look. “You know, I’m still not over the knife-thing” My eyes widen, and I look at her pleadingly. She turns to the others, loving the power she holds.
“Never have I ever done it outside, in the snow, on Blackwood Mountain”
I thought it was gonna be worse, but Mike and Emily must definitely have done it there. I empty the glass once again, getting more used to the taste as we keep going. Josh does the same, and suddenly, everyone has a look of realisation on them.
“Are you fucking kidding me” Sam exclaims happily, her theories were right. I look over at Mike and Emily, their glasses in front of them still full. Shit. I capture Josh’s eyes, and he’s already realised it. We gave ourselves away. Sam is laughing hysterically, holding onto me for support.
“Like, I knew you were having good sex, but the whole ‘he must’ve learned to use his tongue from the gods’-thing is Josh? I don’t believe it!”
“Sam, shut up” I whisper, and she throws herself backwards, trying to regulate her breathing.
“Wow, so I’m made of the gods?” he teases from across the room, and I roll my eyes.
“Thank god that secret didn’t last long” Chris exclaims, breathing out in relief. Half of everyone here is laughing, and the rest is looking at us, expecting to hear more.
“I hope you talk about me like that to your friends” Mike whispers to Emily.
“Not much to talk about dear”
“Okay fine” I shout, making the room silent. “You want drama, I’ll give it to you” I stand up, looking down at Sam.
“Never have I ever, done the deed with a twin”
Her mouth opens in shock, and people turn to look at Beth, who’s a brushing mess. Got ya Sam. I sit down again, a smirk forming on my lips. “What was it you said again Sam? Something about how incredibly sexy t-mmf” She moves her hand over my mouth, letting only muffled sounds come out. She leans over to my ear, whispering. “I got you, you got me. Even?” I shake my head, ready to let the world know about the things she’s said. “You know, that’s not the only thing you’ve said about Josh”
I give a loud sigh, rolling my eyes and pulling her hand away. “Fine”
During the whole ordeal, I notice Mike has to refill his glass, but everyone’s eyes are still on Sam, not seeing the small action.
Her cheeks are tomato red, and everyone continues asking questions about them, which both refuse to answer. Josh is still looking at me, a subtle smirk in the corner of his lips. His eyes don't falter, staring intensely, undressing me with his mind. His tongue wets his lips as his orbs go down… down…
“Next one!” Emily shouts, interrupting our mental fucking. Ashley is next, but doesn't have one ready yet. I lean over to Sam, smiling as I whisper. “I hope you took the last shot”
“Asshole” I fill her cup, urging her to do it. Her cheeks are still red, though most of us are getting messier and louder. This was a lot of alcohol, and the only ones not in deep were Matt, Ashley and Mike. Mike has a high tolerance, and the others hadn’t drunk much yet. I look over at Chris, and I think he had a few too many beers before we began. He’s still thriving though. Ashley finally finds a question, and Jess hushes us.
“Never have I ever broken in somewhere”
Matt and Josh drink alone, everyone eager yet again for them to spill the beans. Matt starts, not being shy about it.
“It wasn’t anything major, me and some other guys wanted to impress some girls with our skills, and the outside arena was freezing”
Hannah and Ashley smile, they already knows where this is going, and I do too.
“So, we managed to get the lock to the gym building open, and played inside for a couple of hours”
“And was it worth it?” Mike asks, giving him a wink. “Hell yeah!”
Everyone gives coos and whistles while Matt just shakes his head. This must be the most ‘Matty’ crime that could’ve been done.
“What about you Josh?” Beth asks, confused by when he’d broken in. I try to remember some time I knew about, but my mind is blank. I’m also eager to know this one.
“Well” he looks over at me again, and I give an encouraging smile. “Her apartment”
“What?”
I don’t know when he did this. Was I home? How long ago must it have been? He has a key, and he’s had that for a while.
“It’s not breaking in if you have a key” I say.
“What about the time I came through the window?”
“You’ve gone through the window?” I shout. This is news to me, when did he do this? Everyone in the room holds their breath, and some, their laughter.
“When I surprised you in the shower!”
I think back. Some weeks ago, he scared me in the shower. I figured that I just left the door open, but I guess not. I mean, he did more than scare me in there…
“You still went through the window??”
“I feel like you’re focusing on the wrong things”
“No, I’m not!”
Everyone bursts out laughing, not being able to hold it. I look around for support for my cause, but only Sam shrugs her shoulders to me.
“I guess I’ll be breaking in somewhere tonight”
“Not breaking in if I want you there”
“Okay guys, we’re almost done” Chris adds, and he’s right. There’s only him and Josh left now, and after that, we’ll go back to whatever conversations we had before, ready to party the rest of the night. Drinking more than we should.
“Never have I ever cleaned up my best friends house after fucking in it”
No one drinks.
“You’ve got to be serious, man” he whines, done with Josh’s shit.
“Sorry dude, I’ll do it next time”
“There should not be a next time!”
“Never will there ever be a next time in Chris’s place!” he shouts, and everyone drinks in solitary. Ashley does too, and the aggravation that was there is immediately filled with flushed cheeks and silence. They’re both adorable.
“Finally” I exclaim, getting up on my feet.
“Wait a second” Jess interrupts my exit. “We want to know more about you and Josh!”
“No way”
“Like, has he given you over three orgasms in a row?”
I look back, and Josh drinks. Everyone cheers and I walk to the kitchen to grab a beer. Jesus, this was gonna be a long night.

Daybreak (series) - One Year Ago

pairing: josh washington x fem!reader
warnings: mention of head trauma, mentions and descriptions of death serial killers, gore, anxiety, panic, and fire.
word count: approx. 3.5k
genre: thriller romance
summary: What if Josh wasn't the psycho? What if a real serial killer was hiding on the mountain? Would your favorite group of teens survive two real threats?
You've been friends with Chris since you were young, and when Josh came along, the three of you were inseparable. You've been invited to Blackwood Pines, the Washingtons' lodge, for the weekend. Expecting a good time to enjoy winter break and quality time with your friends, never would you have imagined it'd end with a police investigation.
One year later, Josh invites you all back up on the anniversary of his sisters' disappearances. You agree, but only because you want to be there for Josh. Otherwise, you'd never step foot in that place again. The Washington boy insists that it's safe now, but your gut tells you differently.
Will you make it to the end? Or will you be one of those the group tells the police about with tears in their eyes?
A tiny butterfly flapping its wings today may lead to a devastating hurricane weeks from now. The smallest decision can dramatically change the future. Psychology wasn’t your first pick that semester; something easier seemed more fitting for a first-year. Not something quite so introspective. There were positives, though. For example, Joshua Washington, one of your best friends, was in that class. Hence why, you were currently seated at a large granite kitchen island in the Blackwood Pines Lodge, a ski lodge on a mountain owned by the Washingtons. Technically, you were supposed to have a weekend getaway to celebrate the new year, but your grade was beginning to slip lower than you’d like.
“No wayyy,” The male voice whined, a voice you knew too well. “Homework? Seriously, [Name], that’s so lame.”
You looked up at the teasing blond. Your eyes rolled as Chris walked up to your kitchen spot. His boots tracked in snow, his hair and jacket wet from the melting ice. He grabbed a handful of chips from a bowl you had set out for a snack. Josh walked in behind him. His brown hair was tucked under a white knitted beanie, his ears peeking out and slightly red. Playfully shoving Chris’s shoulder, Josh came to your rescue.
“Give her a break,” The older boy chuckled. “Our professor has been up her ass about turning in this assignment before Monday.”
“Which is tomorrow.” You popped a chip into your mouth, “I don’t have any other time to do it.”
Chris sighed in solidarity, “Major bummer, dude.”
“Tell me about it.” You flipped the page of your textbook, but at least the worst of it was done.
Josh came up behind you, hands gripping your shoulders in an attempt to massage the tense muscles.
“But she’ll finish by the time pizza gets here, right?”
Your head rolled back slightly as Josh rubbed your shoulders, a sigh releasing. You tried to ignore the way your skin pricked under his touch. The warmth of his hands, along with their methodical movements, completely melted away the built-up stress. This wasn’t the first time, so he knew exactly how to help.
“Oh definitely.” Your hand pointed to the document on your laptop: “I’m almost done with the essay questions.”
“Those were easy, you’ve got this.” With a final pat, Josh pulled his hands away from your shoulders. “I had it done in a night.”
“This stuff is totally your thing, of course you did.”
Chris laughed at the two of you. You had been pining over each other for years. The blonde is often caught between the two of you, hearing confessions from each party. Never to each other, of course. You both valued your friendship more than indulging in any “childish crush” (Chris knew it was much more than that).
He couldn’t recall exactly when it started, but he was sure Josh fell first.
If he had to guess, it was probably at the beginning of high school. The three of you had met in third grade. You were Chris’s neighbor, and he introduced you to Josh when the older male came to a playdate. Since then, you three have been inseparable. A friendship not many find. Even in high school, when you drifted into different social circles, you still found time for each other. You all worked together very well, contrasting each other yet fitting together perfectly. It seemed a miracle, and Chris couldn’t be happier with his best friends, except when they remained painfully stubborn about their feelings for each other. Chris loved playing matchmaker, but you both refused to humor the idea.
It was moments like this, the two of you teetering on the edge of romantic affection, that Chris wanted to burst with all the secrets of feelings he had been entrusted with. He knew better than that. You’d both hate him forever, and it wouldn’t be as satisfying as if you two found each other yourselves. So here he found himself again, stuck between you two. A knowing smile grew on his face.
Between the massage, the gentle hum of the refrigerator, and the lack of proper sleep last night, you could practically fall asleep. Alas, you had an assignment to complete. Opening your eyes, you caught the smug look on Chris’s face and had to suppress an eye-roll. Your fingers fidgeted with your pen. Your own grin growing on your face.
“So where’s this firewood you two went out to go get?” You raised an eyebrow at the two empty-handed boys.
Chris’s smirk was wiped straight off his face, and Josh hung his shoulders dejectedly. Both let out an embarrassed chuckle.
“We couldn’t find the axe.” Chris admitted.
To add to their embarrassment, you snorted. You were trying to stifle a laugh; it failed terribly. It was now your turn to be shoved by Josh.
“I’d like to see you try and look for that thing.”
“I probably could, knowing you two.”
Chris shook his head. “An animal probably ran off with it.”
You turned towards Chris with a perplexed expression. A slight glance to your side showed Josh doing the same thing.
“Or an axe murderer!” He continued, now with the tone of someone telling a ghost story.
“There isn’t anyone else on the mountain, Chris.” You corrected, wanting to shove any idea of there being a threat out the window.
“Actually-” Josh began.
Your head whipped towards the brunette. “What? Your dad said we were the only ones here.”
“Hey, hey, let me finish.” Josh chuckled at your paranoia, “There was this guy who told my parents not to build this place. It’s on indigenous land, 'belongs to nature' or whatever he said.” Josh shook his head, “A nutjob.”
An unsure silence hung in the air. You and Chris shared an unsettled expression.
“..But he doesn’t live here, right?” Chris asked, his voice wavering for just a second.
“If he does, nobody’s found him. My parents had rangers sweep the mountain and they couldn’t find any evidence of him currently living here.” Josh shrugged before leaning back against the cabinet behind him. His arms crossed as he rested there. “I seriously doubt it. It’s brutal out there.”
You found some comfort in his words, but a bit of paranoia couldn’t help but creep in. Like a scary story, someone told you as a kid that still hangs over you as an adult. One that still keeps you wary of your open closet door at night.
A shiver ran up your spine as you turned back to your laptop. Chris shook off the goosebumps, pricking the back of his neck. Before he could say anything, there was a knock on the door beside you three.
“Hey! Let us in; we’ve got the pizza.” Beth’s voice yelled from the other side. She had gone with Mike, Emily, and Jessica to get the pizza. The three could’ve figured it out independently, but Beth didn’t want to risk them getting lost.
“Hurry, I’m freezing my tits off out here.” Emily added from behind him.
Josh laughed at the comment as he pushed off the counter he was leaning on.
“Finished with that assignment, [Name]?” A fleck of teasing in his words.
“Yes, actually.” You typed in the last few words of your completely bullshit attempt at the assignment. It would work, but it was definitely the bare minimum. Your usual in that class.
“Good timing.” Josh grinned at you as he opened the door for the group.
❄❄❄
You squinted your eyes as you peered out the kitchen window. You tried your best to see Beth as she took out the trash, but the snow and the window’s glare made it difficult to see at night. Seeing her successfully dump the garbage, you focused back on the dishes. Hannah worked behind you, collecting more trash left around the room.
“Thanks for doing the dishes, [Name].” Hannah smiled at you.
You turned to return the smile at the younger girl. Hannah and Beth were like little sisters to you. They were close with their brother, so naturally, they were close to you. They loved having an older girl to talk to whenever you came over. Josh’s family truly felt like part of your own. Another reason you couldn’t bring yourself to admit your feelings. You couldn’t risk losing them all.
“Of course, Han.” You dried a dish. “The others didn’t seem like much help.”
The rest of the group had gone upstairs, suspiciously all together. You were slightly confused by their giggles as you had watched them all ascend the stairs earlier, but you brushed it off as just teenage antics. It’s not like they would do any real harm.
Hannah laughed at your comment, “They’re our guests, [Name]. I wouldn’t ask them to do that.”
“You’re too nice. They left such a mess in the kitchen. Should’ve made one of the guys take out the trash.” A grin spread across your face as you eyed Hannah reading a note on her laptop, “Like Mike⁓.”
Hannah’s face burned red at the mention of her little crush. You couldn’t help but giggle at her. She glanced down at her note before looking up at you. Her face was scrunched in an expression of confusion. You had turned back to the dishes, the warm water running down your hands.
“Do you know something?” Hannah asked, a fleck of hope in her voice.
“I’m just teasing you, Hannah.” Your hands squeezed the blue dish soap out of the sponge. “I will say though, Mike doesn’t seem to happy with Emily.” You looked at Hannah over your shoulder. “Maybe he’s waiting for someone to come save him from being a lapdog his whole life.”
You felt bad for Hannah. She often beat herself up over her crush on Mike. Believing she wasn’t good enough or pretty enough for him. You knew it was the opposite, but she was too determined to pursue him. Sometimes, you would give into her delusions; hope kept people going. That was one of the few things you learned from your Psychology class. It wasn’t all bad.
“Maybe…” Hannah looked up at you with a bright smile, a look of excitement in her eyes. “[Name] can I borrow some of your makeup?”
The random question caused you to raise an eyebrow at the teen. “Sure, it’s in the guest bedroom next to Josh’s- but why?”
Hannah had run up the stairs the second she heard you say yes. “Thank you, [Name]! You’re the best!” Her hurried escape left you even more confused.
A sigh fell from your lips as you returned to finish the last dishes. The crackling of the fire filled the room as Hannah had turned off the music on her laptop. The rushing water of the faucet and the gentle scrubbing of the dishes were ironically peaceful from how it had been ten minutes prior. Beth’s entry into the lodge broke the quiet. She kicked the snow off her boots before stepping onto the hardwood. She took more care than most of them did. Her coat was hung next to the door, and Beth walked towards you in the kitchen.
“Where’s Hannah?” She asked, noticing her twin’s absence.
You could only offer her a shrug, “Ran upstairs asking for my makeup. I don’t know what got into her.”
Beth shook her head with a sigh. She loved her sister, but she could be painfully naive sometimes. Beth often worried for her, knowing others would take advantage of her.
“Does anyone ever know what she does?”
You laughed, knowing she was right. “At least she’s already smarter about drinking than her brother. Josh is wasted.” Your elbow pointed toward Chris and Josh, sleeping on the sofas. The twins had moved him to a comfier place to sleep than the kitchen counter. How he managed to crash there, nobody knew.
“Everyone is smarter than Josh about drinking.” Beth made the jab at her brother. If he was awake, he would’ve retorted with something about Beth’s friend choices or music taste. But he wasn’t, so she enjoyed the silence that followed her insult.
“Touché.”
Beth walked over to the sofas where the older boys slept. She chuckled at Josh’s sleeping face. Her hands reached out towards the fire, letting it warm her up. She turned around, catching a glance at Chris’s face. It was covered in drawings and squiggles. Another soft laugh left her lips as she got a closer look.
“Who did that to Chris?” She asked you as you exited the kitchen. You had finished with the dishes and decided it would be good to help Beth get Josh and Chris in order. They still had their shoes on as they lay on the furniture.
“Oh, that?” You rolled your eyes, but a smile pulled at your lips. “Emily and Jessica found a marker and couldn’t resist.” You had watched the group torment the sleeping blonde while you were preoccupied trying to keep Josh from falling off his chair. It was moments of childish pranks like those that you were glad you hadn’t aged out of yet.
Beth laughed at the image of Emily and Jessica drunkenly drawing on Chris’s face.
“Hope it’s not permanent.”
“I think it is.” You winced Beth, following suit.
You moved over to the sofa, where Josh was currently asleep on. The warmth of the fire hummed against your skin even at this distance. Eyebrows scrunching as you saw Josh’s snow boots touching the leather sofa.
“Of course his boots are still on,” You thought, cringing at the mud drying on the leather.
Your hands carefully lifted Josh’s feet, giving you space to sit at the edge of the furniture. Resting his feet on your lap, you began carefully untieing his snow boots. The male squirmed under your touch, mumbling something incoherent. You and Beth shared a chuckle.
“They’re so gone.” She shook her head.
Beth pushed herself off the floor. The faint blue glow of Hannah’s laptop caught her eye. The music was turned off, but she had left it on? Beth stepped around the discarded beer bottles and cans on the floor. She made a mental note to pick those up later. Before Beth reached the laptop, she caught a glimpse of something moving outside. She could’ve sworn it was a person, but reason wanted to say otherwise.
“Hey, did you see that? Dad said it would just be us this weekend… Josh?”
“He’s out cold.” You rolled your eyes at how dead asleep he was. You tried poking at his side, a spot he was always ticklish. Nothing. “What’d you see, Beth?”
The brunette shook her head, “It was probably nothing.”
As she got closer to Hannah’s laptop, Beth realized there was a note resting on it.
“What’s this?” She said to herself, reaching for the paper. It was blank on one side, but on the other was a message.
‘Hannah,
You look so damn hot in that shirt… bet you’re even hotter out of it.
Come to the guest room at 2:00 am ;)
Mike’
Beth shook her head as she read it. It was obviously not Mike’s handwriting, and Hannah should’ve known that.
“You said Hannah ran upstairs for your makeup earlier?”
You looked up, slipping Josh’s other boot off his foot. Your head tilted at her question.
“Yeah, why?”
Beth let out a sigh, “Oh my god. What’d our naive sister get into now?”
“What do you mean?” You tapped Josh’s shins as you finished removing his boots. He snuggled into the sofa. Pushing his legs off your lap, you stood. You waited for Beth’s response, but unfortunately, she wouldn’t be the one to tell you what happened.
Someone ran past the kitchen window you had previously been watching Beth out of. The blur of the person made it difficult for you to see from a distance, but Beth knew precisely who it was.
“Hannah?” The teen exclaimed after seeing her sister running into the woods alone. She turned to you for a moment as she grabbed her jacket. “[Name], wake up Josh!” Beth’s voice raised in alarm.
Footsteps down the stairs rang loudly around the once quiet room as the rest of the group came running down the stairs. Sam was leading the group with a concerned look on her face.
“Where’d she go?” Sam asked Beth, concern weaved in every word.
“She’s outside! What’s going on?” Beth ran past them all outside, shoving past Matt. “Where’s she going?”
You had been trying to shake Josh awake but to no avail. He was out cold. Unfortunately, he was the one who knew the woods the best. Looks like you were going to be the “adult” in this situation. Fuck. Anxiety and adrenaline were already pricking at your skin.
“Come on, Josh. You need to wake up this time.” A sigh escaped your mouth as you realized it was pointless. Everyone is now outside.
“It was just a prank, Han.” You heard Emily yell out. This time, the eye-roll could not be suppressed. Of course. They’d pulled one of their stupid jokes. But Hannah wasn’t laughing this time. None of us were. She was often the one being pranked as she was so trusting. This time, it seemed the prank went too far.
You searched around the room for your boots. The silence was no longer peaceful but eerie. You quickly tied them on, wishing you could be physically faster than you were. Your fingers burned as the fabric of the thick laces scratched against your skin. Ashley rushed into the room, looking for you.
“[Name]! Beth ran after Hannah. Sam’s going to look but we don’t want her to get lost.”
You sharply inhaled. You already knew Beth would try to go after her sister. Beth was always protective of her twin and vice versa. They were inseparable.
“I’ll go. I know the woods better than any of you guys. If we don’t come back in ten minutes, call the police.” Your hands grabbed your jacket, slipping it on as you rushed towards the doors.
The teens all stood, looking in the direction the girls ran.
“Where’d they go?” You asked, looking at the different openings into the woods.
“Hannah ran in that direction, and Beth followed. She’s calling after her, so you might be able to find them,” Sam responded quickly, providing helpful information.
“Okay, I’ll try to find them. If we’re not back in ten minutes you need to call the police.”
Sam nodded, the others remaining silent. The consequences of their actions become very sobering.
You kept walking in the direction they pointed, “Please try to wake Josh and Chris. They’ll know better where Hannah could’ve gone.”
Ashley and Matt pushed back into the lodge, tasking themselves with waking the older boys. The rest of the group was growing anxious, but you paid no mind to them now. Hannah and Beth were your priorities.
“Beth! Hannah! Where are you guys?” You yelled as you got further into the woods.
It was dark and windy. The once serenely quiet snowy forest grew into something sinister. The shadows of the trees seemed to grow pointed. Your footsteps and the harsh wind drowned out the silence. Even with your boots and jacket, you were cold. You couldn’t imagine how Hannah felt without them. Your lungs burned as you ran. The harsh air, also low in oxygen, made this harder than you had thought. But you had to find them. You had to.
Further down the path, you had spotted Beth’s footprints in the show. The snow was fresh and powdery, which meant it was starting to blow away in the wind. You were running behind, running out of time. You blinked away the snow that blew into your eyes. Soon, you came across a fork in the road. The wind had blown away the footsteps; you couldn’t tell which ones were Beth’s and what was just the texture of the snow.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck-” Your breath fogged as you spoke, the cloud blowing away in the wind. This damn wind. You cursed whatever controlled the weather before picking the path on the left. Some remnants of footprints remained on that path, so you stuck with it.
“Beth! Hannah!” You screamed out for the twins, praying you’d hear them call back. You never did. No matter how many times you screamed and cried for the girls. Their response never came. What you did find was a herd of elk. They startled you as you ran down the path. Falling back, you let out a gasp. You spooked them, so they backed off. You continued to run through, but the woods got thicker and darker. You pulled your phone out of one of the jacket’s pockets. With your fingers freezing from the cold, you found it difficult to type your passcode.
“Come on- come on!” You pleaded through gritted teeth. Eventually, you were able to get the flashlight on. It lit up the dense foliage, allowing you a better look at the forest. The white snow made the light extra bright, almost blinding. You squinted at first as your eyes got used to the light.
“Hannah!” You paused, waiting for a response. Nothing. “Beth!” Silence.
Your heart pounded so loud you doubted you’d hear them even if they called back. You pressed on, running along the path even further. You didn’t want to veer from it too far in hopes of not getting lost. The cold pierced through your jeans, chilling you to the bone. You ran on, unaware of the danger ahead. A rock came hurtling from the trees, making a nauseating crack sound against the back of your head. Your vision went white as you stumbled to the floor. You gasped for air as your body paused. Your face pressed into the snow, and your head felt warm and heavy. You lay there, hearing something in the woods beside you. You glanced around, but your vision was hazy. You saw the orange glow of a fire and an earsplitting screech. Whatever made the sound in the bushes had run off further down the path. There was a person beside you now; you could hear him.
“Fucking kids.” He mumbled, placing a hand on your back. “She’s still breathing, she’ll make it.”
You found fighting off the sleep that wanted to overtake your body harder. Your eyelids grew heavy, and the snow felt almost warm. Your mind seemed to lull you to sleep, admitting it might be safe to rest here. The world faded to black. Sam’s scream ripped through the void.
“[Name]!”
And then nothing.

Until Dawn- By Your Side: Chapter Two, Promise
(Joshua Washington X Reader)

[One] [Two] [Three]
“I hope this was the right thing to do.” Sam quietly says, it seemed like it was supposed to be to herself. Chris and I give her a confused expression. “What?” He questions.
“You know, getting everyone together on the anniversary.” She explains further. “I mean Josh seemed really pumped about us all doing something didn’t he.” She starts but it was more of a question in the back of her mind. I just look at her with the same expression I’ve held. “Yeah, no, he definitely did.” Chris assures her. “I haven’t seen him so excited about something in… forever.” He continues, Sam looks at me to see if that’s true and I nod my head. “Good, good.”
“It’s hard to tell with him, and I’ve kinda been worried. Only hearing updates through [Name] or you.” Sam tells the blond as I notice her avoiding eye contact with me. I mean she has every right to feel worried about him but why is she acting sort of weird with me right now. “No, no, it was a good idea.” He tells her.
“I hope everybody else feels the same way.” She whispers. “we’re here aren’t we?” I add in, leaning back. “Well thanks bros, good talk.” She playfully punches both of us. “You know what? Let’s just stop talking about what happened and enjoy the trip.” Chris suddenly tells us. “You know what? You’re right.” Sam sighs.
“You know how Josh and I met?” He switches the subject and I smile, remembering it’s because of me that we all met. “No…?”
“Ok, [Name] became my friend in second grade. Neither of us remember how or when that happened but suddenly we were just friends. In third grade Josh sat in the back of the room, I sat in the front and [Name] was also in the back with Josh. She instantly talked with him and they became friends but somehow Josh and I never knew each other existed. But the kid sitting on the other side of him started strap snapping the training bra on the girl in front of him so the teacher made him move to the front- where I was sitting.” He smiles, and I lean back, listening even though I lived through it. It’s nice to hear. “Okay, so?” Sam asks.
“So I got moved to the back!” He exclaims. “And?”
“And next to Josh, that’s how we met! And us three became friends. To this day. Well [Name] and Josh a bit more than friends now.” He chuckles, pushing me closer to Sam and I roll my eyes, shoving him back. “A match made in heaven.” Sam smirks, “Josh and Chris definitely are.” I say, laughing. Chris scoffs.
“If it weren’t for the fact that Jeanie Simmonds hit puberty like three years early and on that day decided to wear a low cut shirt that showed off her training bra. I mean who knows? You could be riding in this cable car alone or with just [Name].” He pulls out a hypothetical and I shake my head. “Right now. Or talking to some other person or persons entirely. Boom: Butterfly effect.” He does a mic drop motion with his hand. “You’re so dramatic, Chris.” I sigh.
The cable car gets to our destination and we climb out. We try to open the door but it doesn’t budge. It had been a couple minutes of trying to get the stupid thing to open. “Jessica, over here!” Sam suddenly calls and I stay in the back after hearing my sister’s name. We were supposed to come here together but after I found out she’s going after Mike, we had a huge argument and I want nothing to do with her. “Uh… are you guys having a really weird stroke?” Jess asks them.
“We’re stuck in this stupid thing.” Chris answers her. “Can you please let us out? Pretty please?” Sam asks.
“Jess, don’t play a dumb prank either, just hurry up.” I tell her, annoyed. She ignores me and presses the button, letting us out. “Oh, my God. I thought we were goners. Another ten minutes in there and I would have chewed off my own leg.” Chris exasperates. “Aw, sick, Chris.” Sam mutters. “Like I said before, you’re dramatic.” I fold my arms over my chest. “Look I got a lot of meat on my bones. This is all muscle down here.” He explains and I just walk away from them. I hear them talk about Jessica having a crush on Mike. Jessica telling them about how she’s with him.
I take my phone out and text my boyfriend. Wondering if he’s got everything set up. I don’t get a response though.
I walk behind everyone as we make our way up to the lodge until I find my way back to Chris and Sam who’s weirdly being quiet. “Chugger gonna make her big come back this weekend?” He asks me and I glare up at him. “Again with this?” I groan, both of us stop walking and I place my hands on my hips as I stand in front of him. “I’m just saying Josh found her pretty hot.” He puts his hands up defensively.
“Chris, we’re 20 years old now, Chugger no longer exists. Plus Josh still finds me hot. Obviously because we’re dating.” I scrunch my nose, irritated on this being a conversation once again. He goes to say something but has a smirk tied to his lips, I glance to Sam who was looking behind me.
Suddenly arms wrap around my waist and I’m lifted up into the air. I let out a squeal, kicking my feet. “Woah!” I get placed back on the ground and then spun around.
“Hello, my beautiful darling.” It was Josh, he pulls me into his arms and I hear him sniff my hair. I let out a laugh. “Hi, my love.” I look up and he kiss my lips. “Where have you been?” I ask him.
“Oh you know, around. Setting everything up. Or at least trying to.” He frowns. “Hm, I tried texting you.” I pull away from him.
“Sorry, haven’t really been on it much with all the running around.” He rubs the back of his head. I stare at him, my face scrunched with confusion. He’s acting weird. He gives me a wink and I roll my eyes.
We get to the stairs of the lodge.
“Man I feel like this mountain gets bigger every time I climb it.” Chris complains, he keeps walking behind me and kicking the heel of my shoe. “Oh yeah? Feels the same to me.” Josh says, grabbing my hand. “Oh come on, you grew up here. It probably feels like it’s shrinking.” Chris huffs.
“I guess that’s true.” Josh smiles, squeezing my hand. “When are you gonna install some cell towers up here? I’m getting withdrawals already.” The blond criticizes the mountain, lifting his phone in the air to try to get some sort of service.
“You got a spare million lying around and I’ll fix you right up.” Josh jokes, chuckling to himself and I smile. “Funny you should say that…” He checks his pockets as we start walking once again. “Ah I think I left it in my other jacket.” Chris points back. “Oops.” Josh shrugs. “Darn, that sucks.” I snap my fingers.
“Hey guys… Get up here okay?” Josh questions the rest of the group ahead of us.
“Yeah… well, more or less. But it’s so good to see you!” Ashley smiles to my boyfriend and then makes eye contact with me, giving a big grin. I’ve always loved Ashley. She’s a sweetheart. I’m iffy about her after the prank but Josh keeps telling me the twins would’ve wanted me to forgive them. It feels like I should be telling him that. In the beginning his anger was strong…
“Sup with him?” Josh motions to an upset looking Matt. Matt just looks away, I let out a breath. “Let’s just get inside.” I whisper, tugging Josh to come up the stairs.
“Yo yo yo! Are we gonna get things moving up here or what?” Chris asks Josh. “Yeah man!” He smiles.
He grips my hand once again and I look up at him. Wondering why he keeps doing that. “Hey… you doin’ alright?” Our friend gets serious, my eyes soften and lean closer into my boyfriend. Wanting to know the same thing even though I’m with him so much. His mind can go everywhere sometimes. “I mean I know it must be really tough without your sis-“
“Stop.” Josh warns him, letting go of my hand. “I just meant that-“
“No I know what you meant. You know seriously I’m over it and I just want us to have a good time, you know? Like we always used to.” Josh turns away from us and I frown, I know he’s not okay. I don’t know why he said he’s over it. He doesn’t have to be over it.
Chris nods his head though, “Right, Chugger could come out like she used to. But she won’t budge through this facade.” Chris pokes my side.
“Shut up about the Chugger thing already.” I throw my head back, jokingly gripping my head. “If my lady says no Chugger, that means no Chugger, sir.” Josh points a finger in our best friend’s face with a smile. Turning back around to try and open the door. “Dammit, this freaking thing.” He curses.
“It’s iced?” I ask. “What else.”
“Maybe there’s another way in.” Chris suggests. “There are a million ways in. They’re just all locked.” Josh continues to try with the door. “There’s gotta be, like, a window round the corner we can get like, get open or something.” Chris tells my boyfriend who stands up straighter at his idea.
“Wait a second, are you saying we should break in?” He questions Chris. “I don’t think it’s technically breaking in if you own the place, right?” Chris laughs.
“Hey, not if I don’t report you.” Josh jokes, making our friend nervous. “Lead the way, Cochise!” He motions him to go back down the stairs.
Once we get down Chris talks to Ashley. Josh and I watching the scene, his hand finds his way back to mine and I feel a kiss on my jawline. “I missed you.” He whispers in my ear and I smile. “I saw you three days ago.” I keeps my eyes looking ahead of me. “Three days too long.” He pulls me closer to him, kissing my neck making me laugh because it tickles.
“All right, all right, love birds. Keep it moving!” Chris orders us, shooing at us like we were cattle or a flock of birds. Instead of arguing we move it. Wanting to get inside. “Ashley was looking pretty hot today, right?” I teasingly ask the blond.
“Yeah if you don’t hit I’m sure Mike will get on that case.” Josh tells him, I pinch his hand, thinking that was a little too far. “Hey, cut it out you two.” Chris shakes his head but doesn’t lock eye contact with us. “Re-laaax I’m just checkin’ to see if there’s some blood flowin’ down there.” Josh laughs. “Tsk yeah…”
“Listen dude. Look around you. Look at these beautiful mountains. Do you see any parents?” Josh even takes a glance around him as he instructed our friend to do the same. “I mean can you imagine a more perfect, ripe scenario, just dripping with erotic possibilities? You, and Ashley, alone at last…” Josh makes up a hypothetical and I can see how these two are best friends. “You’ve laid all the groundwork… you’ve been a perfect gentleman. Now you come in for the kill!” Josh dramatically tells him. I let out a sigh at this awful conversation.
“Maybe you’re right.” Chris smiles.
“You’re a hunter bro. No fear. No mercy. I mean she won’t even know what hit her.” We walk around him and start back up to get to another way inside the lodge. “Alright, alright. I got it. Jeez.”
“You’re gross, Joshua.” I gently push him, he snickers pushing my back but we’re still holding hands. “You know I’m only messing.” He stops us to kiss me on the lips before continuing again.
“So how are we planning on breaking in to my parents lodge, bud?” Josh asks Chris. “Wait, I didn’t say I had a plan-“
“You sounded like you had a plan.” I chime in, Josh hums, agreeing with me. “You better deliver, Cochise, or else you got five lovely ladies who are gonna be freezing their bus off and last time I checked, that’s not a good way to get laid.” Josh tells him, playfully squeezing my hand and I scoff.
“All you think about is your penis.” I mumble. “Mm, maybe.” He whispers back to me. “well shoot, nobody likes cool buns.” Chris says.
Chris walks over to where an emergency axe should be but he lets out a disappointing sounding “oh.” Then he goes over to a cupboard? “Well well well. We got ourselves a thinker. Nice one.” Josh pats the thing, letting go of my hand. They push it over to the closest window. I watch them do the work.
“Who’s gonna get in there first?” Chris jokingly asks us. I shrug my shoulders. “if you want, I can do it.” I offer but Josh immediately pulls me back shaking his head in disagreement. “No, no, let Chris go.” He tells me, I look to Chris who waves it off. Climbing on the thing.
He lifts the window open and climbs inside the building. We hear a thud and him groan afterwards. I wince. “C’mon.” Josh lifts himself up and then helps me beside him but there’s barely any room. “Ugh, I’m okay!” Chris moans. “I should’ve pain more attention in climbing class…” He talks to himself. “You mean gym?” Josh furrows his brows as I laugh.
“Yeah, you know, with the climbing up the rope.” He stands up from the ground and then the light in the room shatters. “whoa.” Josh steps back, I almost slip but I catch myself. “Did I do that?” Chris asks.
“I don’t… I don’t think so. Here, use this.” Josh throws him a lighter. “Whoa- Chris, I just got an awesome idea.”
“Yeah?”
“Totally!”
“Well what is it?” Chris asks, looking up to us. “Okay. So I am pretty sure that I’ve got some deodorant in one of the bathrooms… you could use that with the lighter.” Josh tells him. “I don’t follow. How’s a stick of deodorant gonna help?”
“Spray on. It’s a can.” Josh corrects him. “Ohhh yeah, now I gotcha. “Flamethrower.”
“Just like we do with the lil army dudes.” Chris excitedly remembers and I wince at the memory. The smell of the plastic burning in my nose. “Yup. The ones we melted. Just point the spray-can at the lighter and Fwoosh!” Josh flings his arms up, almost knocking me before he grabbed onto my waist quickly. “Bye-bye frozen lock.” Chris chuckles. “Bingo.” Josh looks to the side. “Alright, so you got this. I’m gonna go sort something out- you up for hunting around in the dark for a little bit?” He asks Chris, I’m confused on what he has to sort out.
“Nope. But I’ll do it.” The blond shrugs. “Godspeed pil’grim.” Josh salutes to him before jumping down and then motioning for me to get on his back. “In the snow?” I nervously ask.
“Yes, I got you.” He says. “I… okay.” I slowly get onto his back and I feel his hands grip my thighs immediately. He makes his way back to the front of the lodge. Sam and Ashley were still sitting there. “I gotta go do something, I’ll be back.” He pats my thigh and I jump down.
“Joshua, where are you going?” I ask him in a quiet tone, we were a few feet away from the stairs still. “Just a sorting out a surprise for everyone.” He doesn’t look me in the eye and I fold my arms across my chest. “You’re acting strange, love.” I tell him.
“I’ll tell you later, I promise.” He puts his hands on my hips, pulling me closer to him. “You promise?” I raise my brows, he smiles. “Of course.” He gives me a long kiss before letting me go.
I go over to Ashley and Sam who are huddled up together. “Where’s Chris?” Ashley asks and I laugh. “He’s in the house, gonna open the door for us.” I inform them, sitting with them.
“Where’d Josh head to?” Sam speaks up and I glance off to the direction he was heading. “Um, I don’t actually know. He told me he would tell me later.” I frown, now feeling myself getting colder. “Weird.” She mumbles.
“Let’s go over to the door so we can get that fire started as soon as possible.” I pat both of them and we stand up. Walking up the stairs to the front door.

At first, you told he was just play flirting since he’s like that with everyone so you were pretty shocked when he asked you a date (a real one)
Invites to all the parties/outings he’s been invited to (if you have no social life, you’re getting one now)
Can’t remember to take his pills but remembers every little thing you’ve done and said??
Always stares at your lips
Helps with your hair
Tries to keep from being flirty with other people if you’re uncomfortable with his flirty ways
Spoils you rotten (you want something, he’s buying it)
Not a jealous person but he’ll defend you so quickly if you look upset (most likely verbally)
If you’re a poc/black, Emily and Matt are really nice to you. Knowing how it feels to be the new poc/black person in the group
Thinks you’re the hottest person he’s ever seen
Love anything you wear. It could be baggy or tight it does not matter!)
Hannah and Beth adore you (they sometimes steal you away from Josh)
If you shorter than him (it doesn’t matter how short) he’ll call you so many nicknames based on your height
Before y’all had sex for the first time, he’d scare you to hear your screams/for you to hold onto him (he thinks that’s so hot)
He follows you like a dog (you’re don’t get a lot of alone time)
(This is my first time writing so please give me so feedback :))

Mike and Jess didn't notice Emily's arrival at first; they were too wrapped up in their makeout session. But Emily definitely noticed them.
"Oh my God. That is so gross," she declared, her voice slicing through the haze of their moment. The words hung in the air, sharp enough to draw their attention away from each other. Emily folded her arms defiantly, "Are you trying to swallow his face whole?" A mocking grin spread on her face.
Matt, who walked in right behind her, said, "Em..." as if he already knew this was going to happen. His tone was resigned, and I could see the concern in his eyes as he took in the scene.
"Seriously," Emily started again, her voice rising. "Can she be any more obvious? No one wants in on your territory, honey!" She shouted.
Jess stood up and began to walk toward Emily, causing Ashley to gasp slightly, still curled into me. "Excuse me, did you say something?" Jess asked, her tone sharp as she narrowed her eyes at Emily.
"Oh, you didn't hear me? Was your sluttiness too loud?" Emily matched Jess's stride, stepping forward with confidence. As everything unfolded, nobody said a word. Some watched in amusement, while others looked on in concern, the atmosphere charged with anticipation as the two faced off.
"Sounds like someone's bitter she didn't make the cut!" Jess retorted, a smirk dancing on her lips as she gestured toward Mike, the implication hanging heavy in the air.
"Yeah. It's all just a big cattle call with that dreamboat. Congratulations, you're top cow!" Emily's voice sliced through the thick tension, each word draped in biting sarcasm. Mike shifted uncomfortably, caught between their escalating confrontation.
"Cuts real deep calling Miss Homecoming a cow."
Matt stood rigid, tension coiling around him like a taut wire. He turned to Emily, desperation etched on his face as he attempted to bridge the widening chasm. "Em, come on—" he urged, his tone steady but urgent, as if pleading for reason.
"Shut up, Matt," Emily snapped, her tone sharp and unrelenting. "Hey, watch it—" Emily warned, pointing a finger at Jess.
"Oh, you're the only one who can put him down? No one else gets to play with your toys?" Jess shot back, the words were sharp, aimed to provoke, as if she were daring Emily to retaliate.
"You're such a bitch!"
"Whatever, I don't give a crap what you think," Jess shot back, turning away from Emily in an attempt to end the argument on her own terms.
"At least I can think. 4.0, bitch, honor roll. Suck on that when you're trying to sleep your way into a job."
"Who needs grades when you've got all the natural advantages you can handle?" Jess retorted, a smirk playing on her lips as she leaned into the jab.
"Oh, please," Emily scoffed
"You couldn't buy a moldy loaf of bread with your skanky ass!"
"...Are you serious? You think that's insulting?" Emily said, the disbelief in her voice evident, the look on her face challenging Jess to reconsider her words.
"That bitch is on crack or something." Jess said as she turned to me. I quickly averted my eyes, desperately wanting to disappear into the background, hoping they would sort this out without my presence. The tension hung thick in the air, and I could feel the weight of their rivalry pressing down on me.
"Oh, so now you're trying to get them involved? I mean, it makes sense; you always hog them like you couldn't get attention anywhere else," Emily sneered.
"Okay, everyone, stop," Josh said, clearly fed up with the feud. "This isn't why I invited you all here. If you can't handle being around each other right now, maybe we should take a break and split up for a bit." he proposed.
"I have a guest cabin through that door," Josh pointed to a second door on the wall to the right of the front entrance "Just keep going straight, and you'll find it. It's pretty hard to miss." Josh was looking right at Jess and Mike.
"Fine," Jess began, but it seemed Mike read her mind, interjecting before she could finish. "But only if they can come with us," he said, pointing directly at me. The declaration caught me off guard, and I felt the weight of their gazes on me, a mix of expectation and pressure. I shifted uncomfortably, unsure of how I fit into this escalating drama.
"No," Josh said, his voice firm, cutting through the air like a knife. This was the first time I'd heard him speak with such authority. But as I stood there, it dawned on me that I hadn't spoken to Jess and Mike in a while. This could be a good opportunity to clear the air without risking another fight.
I stood from the couch, feeling all eyes turn toward me. "It's fine, really. I haven't seen them in a while anyway, and I'm sure Jess has stuff she wants to talk about." I glanced between them, gauging their reactions. "I'll walk them out to the cabin, but I'll just come back when they make it there. That way, they get their alone time, and I can come back to all of you guys."
My proposal hung in the air, a tentative bridge to ease the tension. I hoped it would give Jess and Mike the space they needed while allowing me to remain connected to the group. But then I remembered I had to please both sides to make that happen, not just Jess and Mike.
I turned to Emily and spoke earnestly, "I promise, when I get back, we can do whatever we want—facemasks, paint our nails, I've got so much gossip to tell you." A small smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she nodded, and I could see a flicker of excitement in her eyes, which eased some of the tension.
Then I diverted my attention to everyone else, who had been awkwardly standing near the doorway while this whole fiasco unfolded. "You guys can relax; I'll be back before you know it," I reassured them, trying to lighten the mood "then when i come back, we can all watch a movie or something.". Chris and Josh seemed to really like that idea. The group seemed to shift a bit, the atmosphere slowly easing as I prepared to guide Jess and Mike to the cabin.
"Real quick, before you go," Sam said, grabbing my attention. "While they were arguing, I tried to go upstairs to take a bath, only to find out the hot water was off. Do you want to help me turn it back on in the basement?" She looked at me with hopeful eyes, clearly eager for a little assistance.
"Well, this is Josh's cabin; I don't know how to do that," I replied, a bit bashful about my lack of knowledge on fixing the hot water. The admission made me feel slightly embarrassed, as if I should have known something so basic.
"I do," Josh said, his tone light yet confident, clearly expecting to step in. "Come on, I'll teach you. Then you can walk them out to the cabin... or whatever." He placed his hands on both my shoulders, guiding me toward the basement, with Sam trailing closely behind us.
The basement was spacious and had clearly been turned into a storage area. I spotted skis and sleds leaning against the wall, alongside piles of old clutter. A worn-out sofa sat in one corner, while boxes stacked haphazardly filled the space. Empty paint cans lay scattered about, and a bat rested in another corner.
Wooden beams, worn and splintered, crisscrossed above, their surfaces mottled with age. The walls, painted a faded gray, bore the scars of time—cracks spiderwebbed their surfaces, and patches of peeling paint.
Josh walked over to a wall adorned with various knobs, flips, and switches labeled "Power," "Heater," and more. I would've followed him if the bat sitting in the corner hadn't caught my attention.
I walked over to where the bat rested and picked it up. It was wooden and chipped, but still heavy and in surprisingly good condition. After examining it for a moment, I made my way back to where Sam stood, leaning against the wall and watching Josh tinker with the knobs. Her eyes flicked between him and the controls, a look of mild amusement on her face.
"What's this, Josh?" I asked, catching his attention. He turned to look at me, a playful grin spreading across his face. "It's a bat, silly." he said
"Well, duh, I just mean why is it down here?" I asked again, twirling the bat in my hands. It felt good to grip, and I couldn't help but wonder what it was doing in this cluttered basement. Josh shrugged, still smiling, as he glanced back at the wall of switches.
"I used to play baseball with my dad out here almost every day. It was a tradition every Sunday, but he quit a while ago; he got a little too busy to play with me," he said, his tone surprisingly light.
"Oh," was all I managed to say, unsure whether to comfort him or let him focus on his work. I turned to Sam, who had been listening intently, and playfully pointed the end of the bat at her. A mischievous grin crossed my face, and i new idea in my head.
"Do you, know how to play baseball, madam?" I asked her in a faux ancient English accent, adding a dramatic flair.
She put her hands on her hips, feigning offense, and replied, "Why, I do! I reckon you aren't too good yourself!" Her playful tone made me laugh.
Now it was my turn to act offended. I placed my hand dramatically on my chest and exclaimed, "Now you take that back! I'll have you know I'm the best darn tootin' baseball player to ever exist!" I struggled to keep a straight face, barely holding back a laugh.
"Well, that's something you're gonna have to prove to me!" she replied, raising an eyebrow as if she didn't believe me at alI. Her playful challenge only fueled my determination.
"Oh yeah, watch this!" I said, grabbing an old baseball that was lying on the ground. I swung the bat, connecting with the ball, and watched as it ricocheted off the walls, bouncing wildly before finally dropping to the floor. The sound echoed in the basement, and I couldn't help but grin at my impromptu display.
I turned back to Sam with a smug grin, acting as if I'd just accomplished something great, only to find her bowing dramatically before me, hand over her heart. "You have my utmost respect; I pray you'll teach me your ways," she said, suppressing a laugh. I couldn't help but chuckle at her theatrics.
Josh then cut the act of devotion short, saying, "Hey, _____, do you mind using your flashlight? I can't see the labels that well." His brows were furrowed in concentration as he continued to search through the power box.
"Yes, sir!" I replied, saluting playfully. I pulled out my phone and walked over to where he was bent down, turning on the flashlight. After angling it to where he instructed me, I watched his fingers dance over the board, cranking knobs and pressing buttons with a focused intensity.
Eventually, he stood up straight and faced both me and Sam. "Alright, I think I've got it. Go ahead and try the bath now, Sam," he said.
Sam nodded and gave me a quick hug goodbye, wishing me luck with Jess and Mike. Her concern was masked by a playful exterior, but I could still sense the hint of reluctance in her expression as she let go.
She walked up the basement stairs, and I would've followed her, if it weren't for Josh's grip on my wrist. He held me back, a certain look on his face as he gestured for me to stay a moment longer.
"Hey," he started as soon as Sam fully left. "Be careful, okay? Hannah and Beth walked alone out there and, I mean—" His voice cracked, and I could see his eyes starting to water. It was clear he was struggling to get the words out, his concern weighing heavily on him.
"Lord knows where they are right now. I can't lose you like I lost them. It happened once, and I won't allow it to happen again, okay?" he said, his grip shifting from my wrist to both hands planted on my shoulders. Tears streamed down his face, and I could feel the weight of his worry.
I wrapped my arms around him, embracing him fully. He definitely needed comfort right now, and I'd be a monster to deny him that. His body shook with sobs, and my shoulder quickly became wet, soaked with his tears. I held him tighter, letting him know I too missed Hannah and Beth.
"I know," I began carefully. "I promise, I know the route there safely. It seems like you're forgetting that I've been here like a million times." I said it playfully, hoping to lighten the mood a bit.
All he did was nod and continue to cradle me, his grip tightening slightly. I couldn't help but wonder, why he didn't act like this when sending Jess and Mike out?

Mike munroe x male reader
Summary: Trapped in the freezing sanatorium, Mike notices your body trembling from the cold and takes matters into his own hands-literally. His touch starts out innocent, a way to warm you up, but soon it turns into something far more heated.
Tags: Male reader. He/him pronouns are used towards the reader. Wolfie being a good boy. Mike and Jess are not together in this. Friends to lovers. Smut. Gay smut. Top Mike munroe. Bottom male reader. Anal sex.
Note: I played the original game years ago, and now that I'm playing the remake, my crush on Mike has come back. He's such a good character with amazing development. I never expected to like him this much. I'm near chapter 7 of the remake, and I'm honestly loving it.

Words counts: 3000
The cold of the sanatorium was oppressive. It seemed to leech the warmth from the very walls, seeping into your skin and bones, making every breath feel like you were inhaling shards of ice. As you and Mike rummaged through the mess of papers and debris in the dim, decaying room, the chill became impossible to ignore.
You had been at this for what felt like hours. Searching for anything, any clue, any scrap of information that could help you make sense of the nightmare you and your friends had stumbled into.
You wanted to focus. You needed to. But the cold was starting to weaken you. Your muscles ached from the effort of trying to stay warm, and despite your best attempts to keep it together, your hands were trembling as you shuffled through the scattered papers. The torn, thin jacket you'd found earlier did little to protect you, barely covering your torso, let alone insulating you from the freezing air.
Snowflakes continued to drift in from the broken windows, scattering across the dusty floor.
The place felt like a tomb. The smell of decay hung in the air, making every breath feel heavy, cold, and full of death.
Mike tried to stay focused, but even as his eyes scanned the scattered papers on the floor, his attention was pulled to you. You were over by the corner of the room, crouched low beside an old table, sifting through stacks of yellowed documents, your movements deliberate but slow. The jacket clung to you awkwardly, barely covering your arms and torso.
Even from across the room, he could hear your teeth chattering slightly, despite how hard you were trying to suppress it.
You always did that, pushing yourself even when it was clear you were struggling. Mike admired that about you, but it was also something that worried him. He knew you were trying to stay strong for him and the rest of the group, but the last thing Mike wanted was for you to get hurt or worse.
His thoughts raced, that protective instinct flaring up again. You didn't deserve this. You deserved to be somewhere warm, safe... with him.
He had been feeling that way for months now, ever since that night after he broke up with Emily. That night had changed everything for him. You were the one who stayed with him, sitting by his side, listening to him vent as he struggled to process the end of his long-term relationship.
You didn't just offer hollow platitudes; you gave him the kind of comfort and understanding he never knew he needed. He realized then, somewhere between the midnight conversation and the quiet moments of silence, that you were different. You weren't just his friend; you were the one person who made him feel like himself again.
After that night, he found himself constantly thinking about you. How easy it was to talk to you, how you made him laugh even when he felt like shit.
He'd find excuses to see you, call you up for help with college work, or invite you out for something casual. He always assumed you'd catch on quickly to his flirting, but you never did. Either he was terrible at flirting with a guy like you, or you were just completely oblivious.
Without a word, he began to unbutton his own jacket, which was far thicker and more insulated than the pathetic excuse you were wearing.
He held it out toward you.
"Here," he said simply. "Take it"
You shook your head immediately. "No. I'll be fine. You need it more than I do."
Mike narrowed his eyes, clearly not buying it. "You're freezing, man. You look like you're about to turn into an ice cube."
You tried to laugh it off, though it came out weak and unconvincing. "It's really not that bad. I can handle the cold. And it'd be selfish of me to take your jacket. There’s no way you're any warmer than I am."
With the simple tank top he was wearing underneath, now all dirty with mud and snow, it became even harder for you to stop staring at him. His muscular and strong arms drew your attention.
Mike sighed, holding the jacket out stubbornly towards you. "You're not fine. You're shaking like a leaf." He reached out, gently brushing his fingers over your arm, feeling the coldness of your skin even through the thin fabric of your jacket. "Just take it."
But you shook your head again, more firmly this time. "It wouldn't be fair," you murmured, looking down at the papers you were holding. "You need it just as much as I do. I can handle the cold. We've been through worse than this, right?"
Why couldn't you just let him take care of you for once?
"Come on," he tried again, his voice soft but insistent. "After everything we've been through tonight, hypothermia is the least of my worries. I'm not letting you freeze out here, not when I can do something about it."
You glanced up at him, your eyes softening for a moment, and for a second, Mike thought you might actually take the jacket. But then you shook your head again.
"I'll be fine, Mike."
Mike sighed heavily, his breath visible in the cold air as he ran a hand through his hair. "Damn it, you're stubborn.”
You gave him a small smile, trying to divert the conversation as you continued sorting through the papers. "I've been called worse."
Finally, with a deep sigh, Mike relented, shoving his jacket back on with a grumble.
Minutes passed in silence, the only sounds being the creak of old floorboards beneath your feet and the occasional rustle of paper. Wolfie, the wolf Mike had somehow managed to befriend, lay beside you, his fur brushing against your leg as he occasionally shifted.
Every so often, you'd reach down to scratch behind Wolfie's ears. His fur was soft under your fingertips.
You gripped the edges of the papers in your hand, hoping that somehow, just focusing on the task in front of you would make it better.
It didn't.
It was then that you noticed Mike shifting beside you and before you could react, his body was pressing up against your back, his arms wrapping around your waist in a firm but gentle hold. His warmth hit you immediately, and you couldn't stop the small gasp that escaped your lips at the sudden contrast.
"Mike?" you muttered, your voice barely above a whisper as you stiffened in surprise at the closeness.
"Relax," he murmured, his breath warm against the side of your neck. "If you won't take my jacket, I'll just have to warm you up myself." he whispered, his voice rough and low.
Your heart started to race, not just from the unexpected contact, but from the undeniable heat that surged through your body as Mike's lips brushed against the side of your neck. The sensation was electrifying, sending a shiver down your spine that had nothing to do with the cold this time.
His lips moved slowly, deliberately, trailing soft kisses down the length of your neck, each one sending a wave of heat through your body. Your body was leaning into his touch, craving more of the warmth and comfort he was offering.
This wasn't the Mike you were used to. This was something far more intimate, more personal.
"Mike... I don't..." you began, but your words trailed off as his lips found a particularly sensitive spot just below your ear, making your breath hitch in your throat.
"You don't what?" he asked softly, his hand sliding up from your waist to rest on your chest, pulling you even closer against him. "You don't want this?"
Of course you wanted it. More than anything, really. You'd been harboring feelings for Mike for so long, feelings you'd kept hidden, thinking there was no way he'd ever see you as anything more than a friend, a study partner, a background presence in his life.
But now, with his body pressed against yours and his lips trailing fire down your neck, it was clear that Mike had been seeing you in a very different light for a while.
"I didn't think..." you started, your voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't think you felt like this about me."
He hadn't planned on this happening, not exactly. But as he held you in his arms, feeling the heat of your body against his, he couldn't deny how good it felt, how right it felt to be this close to you. For years, he had pushed his feelings for you to the back of his mind, thinking it wasn't something you'd ever want. You were smart, focused, always so kind.
He pressed closer, his lips trailing lower along your collarbone, his fingers gently digging into your waist. The torn jacket you were wearing slid down slightly, giving him better access to your skin, and he took full advantage of it, kissing his way down your neck with slow, deliberate movements.
Mike's lips paused against your skin, and he pulled back, his expression soft but intense. "You really didn't notice, did you?" He chuckled softly, shaking his head. "I've been trying to get you to see it for months. I thought you'd pick up on it, but... guess I'm not as smooth as I thought."
You blinked at him, your mind reeling. "You've... been trying to tell me?"
"Yeah," he admitted, his thumb brushing gently against your cheek. "I've been dropping hints since we stayed up all night after Emily and I broke up. You were there for me, man. And ever since then I just... I couldn't stop thinking about you."
"I didn't think you'd ever feel like that about me," you confessed, your voice shaky with disbelief.
Mike smiled softly, his thumb brushing over your cheek as he pulled you a little closer. "I noticed the way you looked at me," he said quietly, his breath warm against your skin. "All those times you'd stare at me, thinking I didn't see. You were so fucking adorable, but it drove me crazy."
You blinked up at him, clearly shocked by the confession. Mike chuckled softly, his lips brushing over your jawline, his fingers tracing lazy circles on your waist. "You're not that good at hiding it, you know."
Before you could respond, Mike kissed you. His lips hungry, filled with all the emotions he hadn't been able to express before. His hands gripped your waist, pulling you closer.
You responded almost immediately, your lips parting under his, your fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt as you pulled him closer.
Mike deepened the kiss, his hands slipping beneath your jacket, his fingers tracing the outline of your hips, your waist, your chest. His tongue dipped past your lips.
After a long moment, Mike pulled back just enough to whisper, his voice low and rough, "You're okay with this, right?"
You didn't even hesitate this time. You nodded, breathless.
Mike's grin widened, and without another word, he kissed you again, even more deeply this time. His hands moved up your sides, tugging at the edges of your jacket as he pressed you against the wall.
You pulled him closer, your hands tangling in his hair as the heat between you both grew.
Mike's lips left yours, trailing down your jaw and back to your neck, his hands roaming your body as if he couldn't get enough of you. Your breath coming in shallow gasps as he kissed his way down to your collarbone, his grip on your waist tightening.
You wanted more, needed more, and judging by the way Mike was holding you with his erection pressing insistently against you, he felt the same.
He pulled back slightly, a grin tugging at the corners of his lips as he glanced over at Wolfie, who had been lying quietly in the corner of the room.
He bent down, ruffling the fur of the wolf who had been sitting quietly in the corner of the room. "Go on, buddy," Mike whispered. "Follow me for a second."
The wolf trotted after Mike as he stepped out of the room, leaving you alone for a few moments, heart still racing. You could hear him talking softly to Wolfie just outside the door, something about how you were "the guy" he'd told the wolf about before.
When Mike came back into the room, locking the door behind him, the intensity in his eyes made your pulse quicken even more.
Without wasting another second, Mike crossed the room in a few quick strides and grabbed you by the waist, pulling you into a deep, hungry kiss. His lips were insistent, full of desire, and you couldn't help but melt into him, wrapping your arms around his neck as you kissed him back with just as much need.
Mike's hands roamed over your body, gripping your hips, pulling you closer. His tongue teased at your lips before slipping into your mouth, deepening the kiss.
He broke the kiss just long enough to mutter, "God, I've wanted you for so long."
Then, his lips were on yours again. His hands gripping you even tighter, pressing you against the nearest wall as his mouth trailed down your neck, nipping and biting at the sensitive skin there.
His hands were on you, pulling at your clothes, lowering them to expose just what was needed with an almost frantic urgency, before he gripped your ass, his fingers digging into the soft skin with a possessive intensity as he lifted you slightly, pressing his body against your.
"Relax," Mike whispered, his voice low and commanding as his fingers trailed down, teasingly brushing against your entrance. "Let me take care of you."
He teased you for a moment, his fingers gently exploring before he slowly pushed one inside, his eyes never leaving yours.
"You're so fucking tight," he groaned, his voice low and gravelly.
He moved his finger slowly at first, watching your face for every reaction, but as you relaxed into his touch, he added another finger, stretching you carefully.
Mike's other hand reached up to cup your face, his thumb brushing gently over your cheek as he leaned in to kiss you again, this time slower, more tender.
By the time Mike pulled his fingers out of you, you were trembling with anticipation, your body aching for him.
You heard the rustle of fabric as he undid his pants, and then you felt the tip of his hard cock rubbing against your thigh.
"Ready for me?" he asked, his voice low and rough.
You could barely nod, your entire body trembling with need. Mike lined himself up, his hands gripping your hips firmly, and then, with one slow, steady thrust, he pushed inside.
The sensation was overwhelming, a mix of pleasure and pain as he stretched you, filled you completely. He moved slowly at first, watching your face for any sign of discomfort, but all you could do was moan softly, your hands clutching at his shoulders.
"You're perfect," Mike groaned as he began to move, his hips moving with slow, deliberate motions. "You feel so fucking good."
Mike's hands were everywhere, gripping your hips, sliding up your chest, cupping your face as he kissed you hungrily. His cock filled you completely, each slow thrust sending waves of pleasure through your body.
His hands moved lower, his fingers finding their way between your legs as he stroked you in time with his thrusts.
The more his pace picked up, the more his movements became rougher, more desperate. He kissed you again, biting at your lips, your neck, his hands gripping your ass tightly as he pulled you closer with each thrust.
"Fuck," Mike groaned, his voice low and husky. His soft grunts filling the cold room as he moved inside you.
The pleasure built to an unbearable peak as his thrusts became faster, harder. You could feel the heat spreading through your body, your muscles tensing as you teetered on the edge.
And then, with one final, deep thrust, Mike groaned loudly, his hands gripping you tightly as he came, his cock pulsing inside you. The sensation sent you over the edge as well, and you cried out as your own orgasm ripped through you, your voice muffled against his neck.
After a few moments of catching your breath and letting the weight of everything settle in, Mike pressed another soft kiss to your forehead before pulling away slightly, his hands lingering on your hips. You could see the satisfied smile tugging at his lips, that playful, cocky expression you had grown so used to over the years. He gave you a wink before straightening up, pulling his pants back up and adjusting himself as if nothing had happened.
You followed suit, your body still buzzing with the aftermath. There was something so surreal about it all. Being here, with Mike Munroe, of all people. You had known him for years, but you had never imagined things would end up like this.
Once you were both dressed and more or less presentable, Mike walked over to the door, unlocking it with a soft click.
"Ready to face Wolfie again? He might be a little upset that we kicked him out." He glanced back at you, a mischievous smile playing on his lips, before swinging the door open.
Outside, Wolfie was sprawled out across the floor, his furry body taking up most of the tight hallway. The wolf's ears twitched at the sound of the door opening, and he turned his head to glance at the two of you. His golden eyes scanned you two and then, with what could only be described as a huff, he plopped his head back down onto the floor, letting out a long sigh as if he had been deeply offended by the delay.
"Is he pouting?" you asked, incredulous.
Mike smirked, clearly amused by the wolf's behavior. "What? You jealous, buddy?" he teased as he crouched down beside Wolfie. The wolf, still looking somewhat begrudging, turned his head away, as if refusing to acknowledge Mike.
Mike reached out, scratching Wolfie behind the ears, his voice dropping into a low, playful tone. "Come on, don't be mad. I was just doing my part to keep him warm. You know how cold it is here."
You watched as Wolfie's resolve began to crumble under Mike's touch, his tail thumping softly against the floor as Mike scratched behind his ears. Mike chuckled, his cocky grin growing wider. "See? I warmed him up real good. All thanks to me."
Wolfie responded with a soft growl. He finally turned his head back toward Mike and he ruffled his fur, looking pleased with himself.
"Yeah, yeah," you said, rolling your eyes but unable to stop the smile from spreading across your face.
Mike stood up, shooting you a wink as he slung his arm around your shoulder. "Damn right, I did." He leaned in to press a soft, quick kiss to your lips.
Together, you and Mike walked down the hallway, Wolfie trotting along beside you. And as Mike gave your shoulder a reassuring squeeze, you couldn't help but feel grateful that, through all the chaos and terror of the night, you had found someone worth fighting for.

Now that the until dawn remaster is out, I need more Sam fics. Her and Josh. Her and Mike. With all their new and old scenes. And some actual Sam X Fem Oc. Because come on! Also so excited Hayden actually came back for it. Seems like she was one of the only ones to do so unless I'm missing more of it.

Hii could you please write UD characters headcannons of them catching you masturbating ??🌚🌚

Omfg, this is so fun! Your wish... Is my command... 👀 (I had sooo much fun writing this!)
NSFW down below!
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Josh ~ "Hey, Y/n. You bus— Well, well, well... What do we have here?~"
Oh you poor, poor thing. Yup, you're getting teased all to hell and back. Nope, you'll never hear the end of it. Of course, Josh will never right out tell anyone else. But he will definitely say subtle things in front of others to make you break while they either don't acknowledge it or stare in confusion.
"Man, that water fountain is really big... Remind you of anything, y/n? Need a bathroom break?"
If you seem like you may need a hand (pun intended) or want him, will ask if you would like him to stay...
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Chris ~ "OH MY G— I'M SO SORRY!!!"
Poor guy is more traumatized than you are. Not because it grossed him out, but because awkward situations aren't his specialty. Oh and the image never. Leaves. His. Mind. He won't look you in the eye afterwards but sometimes you will catch him staring at you in a very zoned-out state until he snaps out of it and quickly excuses himself to leave the room.
"H-Hey, y/n. Uh... Sorry about that... You know... Earlier..."
He would be too embarrassed to join you but would make up for it in his own free time later...
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Mike ~ "Hey, where are yo— Woah!"
Mike would totally cope afterwards with a series of totally uncomfortable and not at all helping jokes. I mean the worst dad jokes possible. You would almost find it adorable and charming if you weren't the butt of it. But Mike means no harm. It's just his way of dealing with things like this.
"Heyyy, beeeean! (His new nickname for you since the incident...) Wanna help grind these coffee beans, since you're so good at that?"
Mike would offer to help if you two flirted regularly. But if you're intentions were not clear, he would just laugh and awkwardly close the door...
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Matt ~ "Hey, you wanna go to th— JESUS!"
Honestly, whether or not Matt has a thing for you, he will be respectful. Hey, it's a natural thing to masturbate, so there's no shame in it. He will comfort you afterwards and give you a big hug with a chuckle, assuring you that there is nothing weird between the two of you now and there is nothing to be ashamed of.
"Hey, I know it's embarrassing but don't worry about it, okay? Shit happens."
Matt would not join you unless you literally asked him to stay. He's a gentleman...
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Sam ~ "Are you okay in the— Oh! I'm so sorry!"
Sam would get flustered, but she would do her best to maintain her composure for the sake of you. Yes, what she experienced was awkward but what you experienced was 1000× worse. She wouldn't want to make you feel bad for what you were doing. After all, it was her who invaded your privacy. She would reassure you with comforting words and a hug after and then offer to make you a nice cup of organic tea.
"Listen, sweetie. It's okay. You don't have to feel bad about it. We all do it. It's normal."
Sam would not join you out of respect, whether she liked you or not. She's a girl who likes a date before getting to the spicy stuff...
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Ashley ~ "Hey, are you— OHMIGODOHMIGPDOHMIGOD IMSORRYIMSORRYIMSORRYIMSORRY!!!!!"
Yup, you've traumatized her. She's broken. Never to be the same again. She runs into the nearest empty room and cringes. Again, not out of disgust. Like Chris, Ashley doesn't handle awkward situations well. So her first instinct is to just run away and hide for awhile. After she crawls out of her anti-social hole, she won't look at you for a few months, one month at the most.
"I-I'm so sorry..."
Ashley won't join you because she gets too flustered easily and her flight or flight mode kicks in. (Yes, flight or flight. That wasn't a typo.) It is even worse if she likes you...
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Jess ~ "Hey, what's taking you so— BITCH, BUSTED!!!!"
Ahhh, Jess. The queen tease. She is literally a female Josh (Imagine getting tag teamed by them both? 👀) and you will never hear the end of it. She might even give you pointers on ways to do it better. This just to give you friendly advice as a girly girl but also to lighten the mood and make you feel more comfortable with the situation.
"You know, there's this a-m-a-z-i-n-g shop downtown that has the best toys. Omg we should go! Come onnnnn, it'll be fun!"
Jess would definitely join you if you seemed interested in her...
𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭~𖹭
Emily ~ "Where the fuck have you be— Bitch, what the fuck?"
Emily would just stand there, arms crossed while watching you like a disappointed teacher catching their student up to no good while you just struggle to get your shit in gear. When you're done, Emily shakes her head. She may accuse you of masturbating to Mike, or even her. The latter definitely amuses her a bit.
"What so like you have the hots for me or something? Can't say I blame you."
Emily wouldn't join you right there but she may sneak into your room later to give you a spicy surprise...

RESPONSE: hi pookie! happy new year!! it's so sweet of you for this and I super appreciate the ideas. I had some time off focusing on finals and I def wanted to explore other characters than just Josh. I write for everyone, yall I love them all. I got ideas as soon as I read this and asked a friend which request to do first, yours was her choice! Enjoy!
Michael's party was almost underway after a week of planning. Since it was a bunch of the group's first college frat party, Mike decided to plan Jess's, Matt's, Ash's and your first one. Sam's brows slightly furrowed; frat parties are never really chill and freshmen never attend for that reason.
Sam sat with her sketchbook. "Maybe we should have a small get together instead of a full party full of college upperclassmen." Her red coat was eye-catching for the infamous night of halloween eve.
Casa de Mike was decorated with black and orange ornaments. A full skull near the door with a sign that says 'how you doin'?'. There was red splattered around some areas with washable liquid, and LED lights placed around with the remote being Mike's phone.
Mike was setting up more decorations with Jess. "Don't worry about it, Sandiego. It'll be fine! If anything happens to the three freshmen we got them. Josh and I will be on watch." Jessica's hair was longer than usual, gold and sleek. Her purple dress didn't touch the ground, but her hair did.
Emily teased. "You sure you can handle that hair?" Emily wore a black headpiece reminiscing a swan; a corset endowed in pretty bows and a tutu skirt. Edgy black eye makeup and a soft red lip. Her hair didn't fit a bun, so she let it down.
"I better look the part! One night of long hair shouldn't be as bad as wearing heels all night." Jess spoke up as she placed a skull head on the snack counter.
Chris, looking as if he was going to save a young girl, who was immune from a virus, from dying on the operation table that could've saved the whole world. "Why is Jess even here, Mike? Wasn't it supposed to be a surprise?"
He left everything he was doing to stare at Chris. "She had to come over early to do the skull look. Ain't no way I'm doing this myself." He pointed on his face like 'duh!'. He had a skull face drawn on by the makeup artist herself and a full black outfit. A black button up and black slacks and dress shoes. With his height and build, you could see him as a one night fling.
"Riiiiight." Chris went back to checking his phone.
Jess kept going back and forth checking each of the rooms that will be available to the guests, that being the living room, walk-in kitchen, and two bathrooms. "Why is Chris here early anyway?"
"I'm punctual! Why can't we appreciate punctuality these days?" Chris crosses his arms, but lets out a chuckle.
Emily rolled her eyes jokingly. "An hour early isn't punctual, it screams 'I don't have anything else to do with my life.'"
Chris sat next to Sam. "You're not doing much over here either, Em." Sam chuckled from time to time by their conversation as she kept placing strokes onto the pages.
"I was asked by Mike to come early because I knew how to make a party. I got some decorations he could use."
"Mhm. And I am extremely jacked." Chris sarcastically chaffed.
Emily snorted. "Whatever you say, whoever you are!"
"It's from The Last Of Us!"
Emily shook her head as she rested her weight on the wall behind her "Nobody but you would know that."
Jess shouted for Mike who was across the hall. "I think everything's ready here, Mike!" She walks towards Sam; once Sam's pencil left the page, a hand swiped the sketchbook away.
Sam pouted at her younger friend's action. "Jess..!"
"Look here. She's drawing us!" Jess ushered the rest to the notebook. Everyone was dressed up and almost taking a selfie in Samantha's reimagining. Some important people are missing, but were considered by some circles.
Emily cooed as she saw herself holding a peace sign. "Awww, Sammy!" She took it off of Jess's hand to have Chris take a closer look.
His smile earnest, Chris beamed. "I look pretty cool."
Sam shyly looked away from the three complimenting her work. "I'm waiting to see the others to include them."
Jess gave Sam her sketchbook back. "Secret's safe with us!"
The doorbell rings. Sam, like clockwork, got up towards Mike. "Could I hide this somewhere safe? I didn't bring much of a bag."
"Yeah sure, follow me. Em, could you get the door?" Mike walks up the stairs with Sam behind him.
"Sure." She walked towards the door, twisting the knob just right. Her eyes befell the raggedy clothing and dull dark green skin.
An enthusiastic Matt radiated through the realistic zombie costume. "Hey Em! Didn't expect to see you at the door."
Emily stepped aside to let him in. "Woah Matt, how'd you nail the zombie look that well?"
Matthew's positive attitude changed the atmosphere that surrounded them. "I checked some tutorials online! Cool right?"
Emily smiled. "Piqued my interest for sure." She closed the door behind him. He took in the fresh changes done to Mike's place; an area he frequented before, but looked completely redone for this fun occasion.
Matt turned his head to see Jess sitting down. "Do they always go all out with these parties?"
"Frat parties? Yeah, it gets people going." Jess stood up, walking closer to Matt. They had a quick hug.
Sam and Mike came down the stairs and greeted Matt. Before he could continue surveying his surroundings further. The bell rang one more time. Mike went ahead to open the door as a good host.
You and Ashley arrived together. Josh in a separate car arrived around the same time, which had you three at the door.
Mike stepped aside for the rest to come in. "Welcome in!" He kept the door open as a few others began to gather parking outside his suite.
You had a pirate ensemble on, fitting the halloween theme. Ashley's face was highlighted by fawn features; the pretty white spots surrounded by light brown, a light wing on her eyes, the contouring on the nose with the white dots, and a special fawn headband. She wore a short brown dress with white gloves. Her brown boots perfectly cemented the deer getup.
Matt spoke up as he greeted Ashley. "Ash, you look amazing!"
"Thank you, Matt! So do you!" She responded, but all of that drowned as Mike came to greet you first.
He definitely glanced over to fully take you in; top to bottom. "Nice costume you got on. Very coastal."
Joshua walked up next to you. "Thanks Mike, so do you!" You had a smile creep up your lips due to the compliments you've gathered so far and the night barely began. It started with Ashley, then Josh, and now Mike.
Emily looked around. "Where are Han and Beth?"
Josh's demeanor never changed. "They asked to come in a separate car, Hannah's been practicing how to drive. Something about keeping their costumes a surprise from everyone."
Sam recalled all close interactions with the twins. Hannah purposefully kept her mouth zipped, even if she could never hide anything from Sam. Beth was more relaxed about everything, and can hide a few things. "Right, Han never even told me her costume."
"That's interesting. They'll also be the only high schoolers here, keep 'em safe." Josh looked around towards everyone, knowing they'll be a helping hand. They loved pranking each other, but when it came to safety; it was no joke.
A few nods and notes of agreement came from the entire group. The doorbell kept ringing until the place was filled with college students ready to start the weekend off with a bang.
Hannah and Beth entered in completely differing outfits. Hannah went for Emily from Corpse Bride and Beth decided to go Raven from the DC comics.
You greeted everyone and began to drown into the crowd and the ongoing party. There was dancing, conversation, the loners, people jumping into the swimming pool, and drinking; which you couldn't even tell if it was legal.
You decided to head outside for a breather and dip your feet into the water. Before you could fully slip away, Josh took your hand and moved you towards the hallway near the bathrooms.
His smile, gleaming as ever. He decided to have a square voice changer that could be attached to his shirt. The white shirt and jeans outfit was simple to the naked eye, but with the drawn on blood stain and fake knife, you could tell it was from a slasher film. The iconic line of his would go: What's the matter Sidney? You look like you've seen a ghost.
Instead, he goes on elsewhere. "You enjoying the party so far?"
"Yeah, it's definitely new, but nice. It feels you might drown into the crowd any second." You smiled at his attentive nature.
He nodded. "Right, you gotta just get your footing." Your eyes gaze at the square microphone at his collar and he realizes.
Josh takes it off and clicks a button. His voice was augmented as it came out of the machine. "You know, it works." Your eyes sparkled at the interaction.
You looked into his eyes and back at his hand holding the mic. "That's such attention to detail! Amazing!" The astonishment never truly left your face even when Jess called out to Josh.
Jess tapped on his shoulder and looked up to see him. "I need you for something."
"You good, Jess? What's up?" He looked genuinely concerned for a moment. She wasn't one to ask for Josh out of everybody.
She gave a slight smile at his care. "Just a few minutes of your time." He followed her as they walked off, and you were alone once again. You walked outside to see a cooler with a bunch of drinks. Walking up to it, looking into the different choices, you were stumped.
"I'd say it's too early for a drink." The familiar voice had you turn around to Mike. His hazel eyes stared into you with intensity. "We'll be here all night you know."
You cross your arms at him, amused at his conversation. "You're saying I shouldn't party hard and get wasted?"
He chuckled at how far you took it. "I'm just saying a pirate should be stealing hearts, not taking shots."
Going with his flow, you think of a good response. "Whose heart is on the market to be stolen? I don't see any, personally." You point towards the multitude of couples at his place.
He smiled. "You'd be surprised-" He was cut off by another friend.
Chris cries out from behind you and Michael. "MIKE! Mike! Mike!"
Mike turns around to respond. "Yeah, Chris?"
He points back into the crowd. "A girl puked and I don't know what to do? Come with me let's carry her somewhere. She's unconscious in one of the bathrooms."
Michael groans. "I gotta take care of that, see you."
"Of course, take your time. Enjoy." By this point, Mike gave his back to you. He raises his hand to salute and says back: "not going to enjoy it!"
You chuckle at his response, even if he groans and complains; as anyone would, he still would get the job done wholeheartedly. The party is ever-so slightly going harder. People are making out, sleeping on the floor, jumping to the beat, anything you could imagine was happening.
Going back inside, without a drink. The conversation with Mike took your mind off of it; probably for the best. The song playing was something you used to listen to at times, known to be a cult classic at clubs and parties. It was getting to the good part.
Fresh out the trench, four hundred packs Uh, yeah, I'm spinnin' in Paris
Josh creeped up from behind you. "You should try the dance floor." His smile, filling you with comfort and excitement, had you eager to try something new. There was some space at the designated area; the living room where the sofas were placed away from the wooden floor. He put out his palm for you to grab.
Dress for these hoes, they finna flock Just poured a four in a soda, it pop
You smiled at his gesture, and take his hand. "Why not? I love this song." Sam kept eyeing the two of you as you held his hand. Hannah and Beth could be seen whispering to each other. The eerie feeling chilled your spine, but you ignore it in pursuit of trying something new at this new experience.
Them drugs finna hit, I'm feelin' ill I'm wrestlin' all of my demons, I feel like The Rock
The lights flashed random strong colors at semi-long intervals, blue, red, green, purple, orange. The crowd interested in the song jumped to the beat and chanted the lyrics. You and Josh join them. The beat was about to drop. Everyone was colorfully assorted in costumes and embroidery to show off their favorite characters, mastery in creation and design, and just having fun with outfits.
Ever since I was a kid, I been legit If I was you, I would cut up my wrist
The song moves you and Josh follows you. In your element, you don't realize his hands echoing your hips. Eyes closed, feeling the moment and everything surrounding it slow down. Only you, Josh, and the music mattered.
XO tatted all over her body, yeah She just wanna roll and I don't mind it, yeah
Your costume flowed alongside you, the golden chains and belt moved with you, and Josh was taking all of you in. Regardless of how much of a bad dancer you could've been, it felt natural and the confidence showed. Mike glanced at you, already whisked away before he could've done anything.
Ever since I was a jit, I been legit You should let her go, she wanna be it
Josh looked at Mike, knowing the situation they were both in while mouthing the lyrics. Gritting his teeth, Michael put his weight against the wall, leg up, and arms crossed. Planning his next move, as Josh and you continued to the song.
You smiled to Josh as the song calmed down. "Thanks for calling me up here." You still had energy, but the climax of the song has ended.
Joshua effused; still trying to keep cool. "Of course, I knew you'd enjoy your time."
"Have you?" You raised an eyebrow towards his sincerity.
His blue eyes locked onto yours. "With you? Of course I would."
You chuckle to his seemingly disingenuous response. "You'd say that to everyone."
He bantered alongside you. "You wound me! I can have special moments with special people." His right was on his heart and his left hand was on his forehead, his eyes were closed, looking especially dramatic.
You rebutted, seeing him flirt with Sam and Jess quite often. "Yeah, when you don't flirt with every girl you know!" You and Josh both know flirting with Jess, recently single, was more of a joke. If she gets a guy, she wouldn't let Josh even have an inch of a chance to try.
Mike was getting more pissed as he saw you laughed with another guy, even if that was your mutual friend. The idea of you laughing with a friend was innocent enough, but he knew this guy has it in for you also. He hated it; despising the fact you couldn't be the one to focus on him as they were both pining for you.
There wasn't much you could do, he knew that. He knew you wouldn't get out of your comfort zone and do anything like that. You all were friends, and he understood. Josh also thought the same in regard, which pushes them both to pursue you more aggressively. As a board game would go, each of the guys took turns with trying to get you.
Using their wingmen as chess pieces to get you alone, they strike at different times. He couldn't have Jess call Josh out while you guys were dancing, and when he finally had the chance to, you both were done. Michael's train of thought has clashed as he saw Josh make a move. His finger brushed your cheek. His clenched his fist at the sight.
They both agreed not to make a serious move until you figure yourself out. Everyone knew about it at this point, the staggering looks, the whispers, Jess and Chris, everything was calculated. Until Joshua ruined the deal and Michael had to deal with that, alone. Joshua would have to rave the consequences as well, alone.
Without much thought, Mike was already holding Josh's hand away from your face. "Not going to cut it man."
Josh, looking puzzled, responded to Mike. "Yo, dude, what's going on?" You stepped aside from them, knowing that Mike was not happy and you wanted nothing to do with it.
Mike's facial expression was relaxed, but his stare didn't let up at all. "You know what's going on. You disregarded what we agreed on." Everyone who caught onto the situation surrounded them and almost pushed you back from the suspense and itching tension.
You squeeze through them regardless and hold your head high to see everything.
"You can't just claim the situation however you want. How long are we just gonna sit here and verbally shoot our shots? Some people fall after physical encounters."
He shook his head, more forcefully this time. His tone went deeper as he tried to hammer in his point of view. "That doesn't matter. We agreed on something, Josh. Don't fuck with me."
"You're too scared to shoot your shot, don't blame it on me. That was your doing, I took that grace period with you and now we can BOTH do what we want until she takes a stand."
A clenched fist flew into Josh's face. His right cheek, now bruised and red, turned away. "Fuck you, Mike." He held onto Mike's black collar and took his left hand to swing at him. The punch landed on Mike almost immediately.
The chants of "Fight" grew repetitive and loud. As the fight got more heated, more people covered your vision. After crawling out of the situation you were put in, you find Josh on top of Mike. Josh was landing punch after punch while Mike defended himself. You were beside yourself, this felt too much to bare and your eyes widened at the scene. You ran towards them.
They were both in the wrong, you know that. Neither of them should've had this escalate to this, but nothing could be done now but to stop them both from hurting each other further. Josh had a bloody nose, Mike got a black eye, the injuries on them both were never ending.
You screamed. "Stop this!"
Not that it did anything. Blinded and drowned by the current moment, Mike got the energy to push Josh off of him and began to get on the offense. Before his hit could land, Chris grabbed Josh away and Matt put his hands under Mike's arms and pulled him away.
Chris looked over towards both of his friends. His tone more sincere than it was the entire night; feeling stern. "She asked you guys to stop. Stop this."
Sam began damage control immediately. "Show's over everyone. Go home." Beth began helping her out in swaying people to drop the situation. De-escalating something this heated would never be easy or even fully fulfilled, but Samantha definitely had to try.
Hannah, Emily, and Jessica had nothing to do with helping the scene, instead Hannah was frozen in shock of Michael's newfound discreet confession. Emily and Jessica were silently eating up the whole ordeal; two guys fighting over someone? Yeouch! This sounded like a good Friday night to them!
Once everyone cleared up, Josh immediately headed on. Silently glad that Hannah and Beth had their own separate ride. No one could've even silently checked on him on the side, for he was already gone.
IM BACK BAYBEEEEEEEE! Thank you so much for reading this! I definitely enjoyed this request, please send some more! I have more to write later on, and I definitely have ideas for. I haven't forgotten them, but I got overworked with finals and I couldn't get really good ideas, there was one request I made three separate ideas for, but finally decided on one. •ᴗ•

one year later
Blackwood Mountain was a gorgeous as you remember it to be. You had been there more times than you could count, more than anyone else in the group. Either with Hannah and Beth for a weekend of gossip and hot cocoa, the entire Washington family who treated you as one of their own, or just you and Josh who would insist on lighting every candle in the house to establish a "romantic atmosphere".
All those visits and none of them took place in the past year.
Hell you don't think anyone has been up to this lodge this whole year except for the police.
Josh had invited you up here two days before everyone else got here to "tidy it up" was his excuse. But really you think it's because he knew he wouldn't be able to handle the first few days here alone.
Ever since the incident you stuck by each other. Your parents knew what had happened had been traumatic for the both of you and more often than not let you sleep over at the Washington's house. On the nights when you didn't, you would often wake up to Josh crawling through your window to sleep with you close to him.
God, you would do anything for Josh, anything at all, but at the same time you were mourning your best friends as well. That's why the two of you clung so close to each other. Having been dating almost a year before the incident it drove your already close relationship even closer together instead of farther apart like most people thought it would. You know even if you hadn't been dating and still just friends you would have stayed with him through thick and thin.
Josh had a hard time, had moments of rage, where he's punch a wall till his knuckles bled and either you or his parents would have to patch him up. His moments of depression where he would scream and cry and tear at his skin and all you could do was hold him and sob with him. Bargaining where you would both sit up at night and ask the universe why? Why them? Why not anyone else?
Inseparable as you were you know Josh had his moments, where he needed a few hours, or a day or two alone. You did too. You always knew to keep an eye on him during those moments, sending him little texts that reminded him that you loved him, asking him how his day was. It worked, and you know no matter how long those moments were he will always greet you with a hug and kiss as well as whispers about how much he missed you and loves you.
You think therapy helped, Dr. Hill seemed like a nice man, and even though at first Josh just seemed worse after the sessions he gradually started to get more and more positive. You know even before the incident Josh had struggled with mental health but before it had been manageable with some therapy, coping strategies and a few pills. After the twin's death, he was prescribed a butt load of pills to take. Sometimes it baffled you how he could remember even the smallest detail about you but completely forget to take his pills for a week straight! You took to writing reminders around his and your room, setting reminders on yours or his phone or just reminding him when you were together, which was often. But in the past few months, he had really been improving. You would show up at his house and he would proudly exclaim he took all his medicine for the day without you even asking.
You were proud of the both of you. Josh hadn't talked to anyone but you and his parents for the first six months but after that, he slowly started to reach out to Chris again. Josh even told Chris a bit about his therapy which is a huge leap in the right direction! He even started talking to Matt again in recent months. He had texted all the girls recently as well! Just little things like a post that reminded him of them or a "how's your day?" As for Mike... you knew he had reached out but not as much as he did for the others. It counted, it was all steps toward healing.
As for you, well, it was hard to talk to them at first. Logically you knew it wasn't their fault but a part of you needed to blame something other than the cold weather so you lashed out on them. It was easy to forgive Sam and Chris, you can't remember much from that night but you know Chris had nothing to do with it and you're pretty sure Sam even stood up for Hannah. Everyone else, it took you a few months to be able to talk or text them more than small talk or a passing comment. Eventually, it got easier and things almost felt like they were before.
About 4 months after their death you walked into the nearest tattoo parlor and walked out with a new tattoo. A butterfly on your right arm, the exact same one Hannah had. You remember going with her the day she got hers and holding her hand through the pain of the needle. Since you had been a few months younger than her at the time and therefore still 17 she had looked at you, winked, and said.
"Y/n the second you turn 18 I am making you go through the same pain I just did. Don't worry I'll let you squeeze my hand this time."
You had laughed and Josh and Beth had laughed when you told them Hannah's promise. But when you showed Josh the tattoo this time he just hugged you and cried.
Since then life has been as close to good as it can get, you had started taking classes at the local community college and you and Josh had been talking about moving out from your parents to buy an apartment together. It was good, you were doing good. That's why it took you by complete shock when one night, as you lay on your side scrolling through your phone and Josh spooned you and watched over your shoulder, he announced he wanted to go back to the lodge.
"What?" You had exclaimed, turning the phone off, sitting up and turning to face him.
He lay on his back and made a noise of affirmation "Yeah, and I wanted to invite the whole group up too, the good ol' annual trip." As he talked his eyes slowly drifted from yours till he was staring at the corner of the room nervously.
"Josh... I want whatever you want you know that, but are you sure this is something you want or do you feel obligated?" You remember once Dr. Hill had told you that if Josh says something out of character you should ask him to clarify if it was him saying it or the grief.
"I-I think it would be nice. You know like a one year anniversary thing, to celebrate them and their lives." His eyes moved and met yours again, "I can't keep avoiding them forever, they are my friends, and even if we're not as close as we used to be I still want to see them. Besides I think Hannah and Beth would have wanted us to be happy at some point."
You stay quiet, shocked by his sudden vulnerablity. But Josh, being Josh, opens his mouth again in a poor attempt to crack a joke.
"Can't stay wallowing, swaddled in blankets forever can we?" He grins lightly.
You let out a groan and bend down to meet your lips with his. After a few seconds of kissing you drawing away, but only a bit so your face is still leaning over his.
"Josh I think it's a great idea, I'll help you plan it all, I love you."
He smiled and leaned up to meet your lips.
And so after helping him set up a quite dramatic video (on par for him) inviting all your friends up and arriving two days early, it is now the day everyone is set to arrive.
"Today is the one year anniversary of the dreadful tragedy that took place on Mount Washing-"
You turn off the small radio you had been listening to and sigh. You're standing in the kitchen with a glass of water in your hand wearing pants and one of Josh's various band t-shirts. At least Josh had seemed chipper this morning, you couldn't say the same for yourself but that might just be slight elevation sickness.
Speaking of Josh he had left a bit a go to see if anyone had arrived yet. You suppose you should go out and join him but it's sooo cold out there.
