I have to study for my anesthesia board exams and the only thing motivating me is that everytime I finish a certain number of flash cards I allow myself to read a chapter of bkdk fanfiction.

POV : you find the best spot in the library ( I can see these beautiful trees from the windows and that’s the definition of best spot for me) 🌲
Also dermatology is giving a hard time these days 🙂‍↕️

study and revision plan (exam block term one)
i know that it's not the best of me to be planning this a couple days before exam block starts, but in my defence, only now has all of the needed information been released.
i'd like to just put it out there--how helpful study plans like this are for me, as i can cross off items that i have completed and it gives me an idea of what to prioritise. since the list is mostly of tasks, it allows me to utilise whatever study technique i desire (mostly pomodoro❤️) to achieve my study goals.
i am going to reply to this post with any updates and changes.

2nd May - 10 Days until Finals
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I studied for a long time but it wasn't very productive. I read one page over 3 times before it actually went in my head, then more time for making notes of it. It was so frustrating. I am already behind schedule and the days left for finals are going to be single digits from tmrw. Lets hope i don't die from anxiety till then..
I hope today is better :)

With my books, with my exam notes, with my loads of Chrome tabs :') Currently I'm preparing for an English exam that is necessary for my master's applications. Pray for me pleaseee :)))
Additionally, I need to declare my love for the yellow light because it changes the whole aura of the room, especially the desk. For me, it feels like home and I feel safe somehow.

18.09.2024// Wednesday
Helloooo
Tomorrow will be my first, semester 2 exam - Pharmacology paper 1.
It's 11:46 pm as I am typing this.
My exam is in about 9 hours .
Am I prepared, somewhat.
But there's still time left , I feel like as I get closer to the exam , the time required to grasp information decreases . I'm at my max like 1 hour before exam , I remember going through 4 chapters in 2 hours for patho for my last exam. It was insane !
Idk why I'm yapping.
I just needed a small break so I came here to rant :')
I'll be sleeping in sometime, my eyes are tired but my brain will keep up for sometime and then go off. Then I'll sleep.
I'll revise everything I've studied when I wake up. ⏰️

Exam prep this week
A lot of things to review before the exam , using my flash cards to keep all the treatments in mind ( that’s one of the hardest task in my opinion)
Dermatology is fun until you have to memorise all the details ✨

tips for finals review because it's that time again
hi everyone. it's happening again. this is my review method! I'm starting this slightly over a month before finals season.
start your plan with as much time possible to spare. like I said, im starting with a month of prep time
write out everything you need to review. I have mine sorted by subject. rank them on a scale 0-3 (0 being "I have never seen this in my life, 3 being "I have mastered this.") I have three checkboxes next to each of my topics
I aim to build my summary notes gradually over the first week and a bit. then, I convert those into cue cards.
now you're ready to start. on the first day, go through your entire deck of cards for a subject. put them into three piles; easy, medium, hard. now go back to your original list and rank your learning accordingly. do the same for each subject
each day, go through the hard deck, then the medium, then easy. then just hard and medium. then just hard. do this for every subject. as you do this, check in with yourself. keep tabs on your original topics list. the goal is to have everything ranked mastered before tests begin.
add additional review of topics as you see fit.
good luck, take breaks, remember to sleep and DO NOT CRAM.
that's all, ily
