It's December which means I will now accept Christmas things back in my life (yes I'm still salty I found Christmas trees up in stores during October this year!!) So to celebrate here is a Christmas aqua chibi.

About a year ago I got really obsessed with making chibis of the Wayfinder trio from kingdom hearts mostly in the margins of my notes Hahaha so this is a survivor of that era. Maybe I'll be able to dig up more in the meantime since I really did enjoy making them or maybe I'll just make more. But for now happy holidays!

Hey @mareenavee and @friend-of-giants thanks for the tag. I am lazy so idk who else to tag XD

1. are you named after anyone?

Nope, mum found my name in an Irish name book and liked it. Though technically my name is the Irish spelling of her name which has the Irish pronunciation. My mum is named after her Aunt who didn't make it through WWII. Fun.

2. when was the last time you cried?

Maybe about 3 years ago... I ah, do not have a strong crying ability. I get more of a nausea reaction in place of it. It takes a lot for it to be more than like a few sobs either...I just lost the ability a very long time ago.

3. do you have kids?

Nope, not sure I want them tbh.

4. do you use sarcasm a lot?

It's my first language. ;)

5. what sports do you play/have you played?

I am unco to the point of it being dangerous. So I was never very good at sports, with a few exceptions. I danced as a kid and wasn't too bad at it. I also took up archery for a bit but got sick and stopped doing it.

6. what's the first thing you notice about other people?

Eyes and facial expressions, I over analyse a bit.

7. eye colour?

Blue, on the cornflower spectrum.

8. scary movies or happy endings?

Depends on my mood, to be honest. I won't turn down a corny horror movie or an even cornier comedy horror. I love zombie movies. I don't like sappy, so I'm not big into romance that lays it on thick, that weird nauseous reaction. Happy endings can be boring for me, I like satisfying endings. Sometimes I want terror so...

9. any special talents?

Outside of the crap I peddle here? I'm pretty good at baking, geography and I can twist my feet inward to a weird angle XD

10. where were you born?

Australia, not in the same state I currently live in.

11. what are your hobbies?

Art and Archaeology were kinda things that started as hobbies but I earn money from those now. I'm an amateur astronomer, which I would have pursued if I could do maths XD. Obviously, I like playing video games...a lot. I use to read more but I'm dealing with a lot of research fatigue so it's been hard for me to keep focus on anything because the words have been moving around the page again XD. I watch birds.

12. do you have any pets?

I have a dog, Lenny, a chicken, Cecily, a budgie, Sam and two fish, Sybil and Skeletor.

13. how tall are you?

5'8, if my spine wasn't a spring I'd be 5'9 but S-shaped spine's a bitch.

14. fave subject in school?

I was the art kid, I took all the art classes. I was also good at HSIE (History and Geography basically) and most of the Sciences, I wasn't too bad at English either outside of spelling and grammar issues XD

Of course, I also stopped showing up to school so technically my favourite subject was wagging (skipping class). (How I got out with top marks is a goddamn mystery to me XD)

15. dream job?

Archaeologist, heading digs, or teaching the stuff that I found on digs :D

I'm doing my masters in it now and I do a bit of historical consulting. Most of my money is from freelance illustration but I'd love to just make my own art without worrying about money. I just don't think I could carry a Patreon tbh.

Y/N saw Demetri leave the house from the balcony as she had struggled to find sleep. She thought of Demetri and orbed to his location in the woods “Hello Demetri” “What are doing here?” He asks standing up, surprised to see her as he didn’t hear her approach, ‘her gift’ he thought to himself, making a mental note to ask her about it later. “I wanted to talk to you about the rejection” “I-I didn’t…” Y/N cut him off when she placed a finger to his lips “Sshh, it’s ok really. I understand, all I ask is that you promise to be happy with whoever you choose to spend forever with ok?” Still surprised by her appearance and her touching him, he just nods and watches as she starts to orb away “No. don’t…” He trails off as she disappears from right in front of his eyes.

He sighs and takes a seat back on the log, talking to himself “I didn’t even reject her, yet she accepted the rejection…just my luck” He chuckled although there was amusement in it “Well Demetri you’ve been alone for over 1000 years, what’s the rest of forever really? You even made a silent promise to be happy with someone else. There won’t be anyone else…as no one else will ever compare to her” His voice held a sadness to it and his eyes filled with venomous tears, and to his surprise one slipped down his cheek.

💝 what is a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?

Huh! At first this question seemed difficult and then as I thought about it more, I realized there's really one fic that stands out for multiple reasons: Farore's Day on Windvane Lane

So, I was worried about how people might expect different things out of the story versus what I wanted it to be. I was worried that readers would not be interested in a story with a chaoticSingleMom!Zelda having a meet cute with Link, lol And I was worried that readers wouldn't like some of Zelda's choices, like how she chose to have a baby on her own through a sperm donor? I was bracing myself for negative comments about this, but actually those kinds of comments never came! And all of the feedback I did receive about Zelda and her choices was overwhelmingly positive 🥹💖

In this fic, both Zelda and Link are huge nerds in their own ways and they do a lot of nerdy flirting. Link is a meteorologist and Zelda is a chemistry/alchemy nerd. She spends part of a chapter going on a tangent about how carbon and silicon behave differently despite each having 4 electrons in their outer electron rings. An unexpected thing that happened was that I got an in-depth comment on that chapter confirming that, yes, in fact, carbon and silicon do behave really differently and here are some effects of that different behavior. That comment came out of nowhere and I absolutely loved it 🤓 ⚛️

Zelda and Link ended up being so flirty and cute in the story that towards the end of writing the fic, I decided, "Screw it, I want them to spend the night together." Is that unrealistic? Oh yeah. But would it be romantic and cute? Oh hell yes. So they ended up having a "Beedleflix and chill" 😂 I was kind of worried that I'd get some disbelieving comments about this, but once again folks were into it and the feedback was fun and positive 🥰

💥 find your least kudos'd fic - say something wonderful about it.

So I've scrolled through my works and the one with with the least kudos is Perceptions. This make sense: it's only one chapter and I've abandoned it. My original plan for this one was that it was supposed to be a multi-chapter that'd follow Zelda and Link as they grew up pre-Calamity and explore Zelda's changing perceptions of Link.

Zelda is little, ~5yo. It's her first time meeting Link, who's been summoned to the castle to demonstrate his sword fighting ability. I just went and reread a portion where Link and Zelda are sent out into a courtyard to play: Zelda is a bit anxious that she doesn't know how to play with another child, Link is worried he did something wrong and that's why their parents need to have "a talk." Rereading it now, it's decent! I think I did a good job of writing in a child's voice. And, gosh, I forgot I'd written this in 1st person POV!

Frankly... a lot of what I'd hoped to accomplish with this fic, I did it better in "Before and After," so that's why this one has been abandoned.

Video game I saw in a dream. It was in this low poly style like an older video game. You play as this character I think was meant to be a lamb, or maybe a weird mix of a lamb a mouse and a rabbit, (while not really looking like any of those things) and you’re running away from a wolf. Your objective is to last as long as possible before the wolf catches and eats you.

The house you’re running in is endless and bizarrely put together like most building interiors in dreams are (like the infinite toilet dream dimension on Reddit lol) the layout of the house is pretty detailed, you can stop and hide in places like closets or bins while the wolf looks for you, you can go up and down stairs and into rooms etc.

You never actually know where the wolf is or how close it is to you until it appears in your line of sight, it makes no noise and the game gives you no way of knowing where it is, and it’s pretty unpredictable it doesnt move at a consistent pace. When the wolf catches you there’s an animation showing it eating your character
