Robert F. Kennedy Jr. spent decades as an environmental lawyer fighting polluters and supported 'green' organizations for environmental justice. He is now setting his crosshairs on the pharmaceutical industry and cleaning up the nation's food supply chain of ultra-processed foods and seed oils that poison consumers. He has determined that suspending his presidential campaign to team up with former President Trump will be necessary for the strongest success rate in making Americans healthier again, not through big pharma's Ozempic shots but instead revitalizing small farms and shaking up corrupted federal agencies.
Lifelong liberals like RFK Jr. backing Trump is one of the strongest indicators of just how extreme the ticket, unoriginal Vice President Kamala Harris and Democrats have become. Harris' team recently announced their first proposed economic policy, which was rooted in communism and included disastrous price controls. It appears the far-left ticket is being advised and heavily influenced by Marxists.
Between RFK Jr's special announcement earlier Friday and his speech at Trump's packed campaign rally in Glendale, Arizona, the liberal with millions of supporters nationwide appears to have made a deal with Trump to join the campaign with a shot at waging war against corrupt federal health and food agencies, resetting the nation's poisonous food supply chain, and launch a crusade against big pharma if the Trump team wins in November.
RFK Jr. informed journalists at his special press conference in the early afternoon of Friday that America's health crisis stems from ultra-processed foods pushed by giant food/pharma companies that have corrupted various federal agencies:
Autism rates were about one in 10,000 in my generation - in my kids Generation 1 in 34. I'll repeat in California 1 and 22. Why are we letting this happen? Why are we allowing this to happen to our children? These are the most precious assets that we have in this country how can we let this happen to them. About 18% of American teens now have fatty liver disease, that's like one out of every five - that disease when I was a kid only affected late stage alcoholics who were elderly. Cancer rates are skyrocketing in the Young and the old young. Adult cancers are up 70 79%. One in four American women is on anti-depressant medication. About 40% of teens have a mental health diagnosis and 15% of high schoolers are on Aderall, and half a million children on SSRIs. So what's causing this suffering? I'll name two culprits first and the worst is ultra-processed food. About 70% of American children's diet is ultra-processed that means industrial manufacturing - these Foods consist primarily of processed sugar, ultra-processed grains, and seed oils. Scientists who, for many of them, formerly worked for the cigarette industry, which purchased all the big food companies in the 1970s and 80s, deployed thousands of scientists to figure out chemicals new chemicals to make the food more addictive, and these ingredients didn't exist a 100 years ago. Humans aren't biologically adapted to eat them. Hundreds of these chemicals are now banned in Europe but ubiquitous in American processed foods. The second culprit is toxic chemicals in our food and our medicine and our environment pesticides food additives pharmaceutical drugs and toxic waste permeate every cell of our bodies. The Assault on our children's cells and hormones is unrelenting - name just one problem many of these chemicals increase estrogen - because young children are ingesting so many of these hormone disruptors, America's puberty rate is now occurring at age 10 to 13, which is six years earlier than girls were reaching puberty in 1900 our country has the earliest puberty rates of any continent on the Earth and no this isn't because of better nutrition - this is not normal - breast cancer is also estrogen-driven and it now strikes one in eight women. We are mass poisoning all of our children.
RFK Jr. then touched on the processed food industry lobbyists who have corrupted Washington, resulting in a food supply chain filled with poison that is killing Americans. He said several federal agencies that are supposed to protect consumers have also been corrupted.

thank you so much everyone who helped me i'm so grateful. this whole week after my diagnosis has felt so hopeless and scary but i'm so humbled by all the support that has come my way. i am trying my hardest to get healthy again because i don't want to die the way my mom did.
under the cut i am gonna put more about what i have been going through with my type 2 diabetes and fatty liver disease. i am going to be talking about food and eating patterns and somewhat disordered eating so tw for that in case you are curious.
i hope this can help some people though.
i have been very scared since my doctor told me i have fatty liver because i watched my mom die from cirrhosis of the liver - which is a real possibility for me now if i don't make changes.
i saw how awful the progression of that disease is.
when my mom was diagnosed she was already jaundiced and had full blown cirrhosis, which i did not understand at the time meant that it was irreversible and that she was absolutely going to die unless she recieved a live transplant. cirrhosis occurs when your liver has received so much damage that it has become scar tissue and cannot function any longer. your liver is an organ you cannot live without. if it is caught very early you have the option of a transplant, but since her disease had progressed so far her heart was not functioning properly and she had a 75% chance of dying on the operating table.
simple fatty liver usually does not cause symptoms and if it does, as with me, they are mild and can be ignored. this is why usually people do not know until it's too late and larger symptoms such as jaundice (yellow skin and eyes), red palms, swelling in the legs and stomach, confusion and hallucinations are present.
this has all scared me so much because i have ptsd from her illness and death, not only did i see all this happen to my mother very quickly- she was diagnosed in 2008 and died in 2010- but now i see it very differently. i understand now that she did not take her diabetes seriously enough, and taking her off the pedestal i have put her on has been hard. i remember how unhealthy she ate while diabetic, i remember how high her blood sugar was. i remember hiding bread and oreos from her. and now i understand that she must have had fatty liver and not known it, and because she already had hepatitis in the past AND was on a medication for depression known as cymbalta, her disease skyrocketed. she was not dieting, she was not exercising and she died without understanding how she got there so fast because non alcoholic fatty liver is SILENT until it's too late and it's not something doctors generally look for.
i do not blame my mother. she had a lot of mental and physical issues that i do not, and everyday i am so grateful that she raised me. but i now know that if they had tested her liver enzymes in say, 2005 or 2006, and told her what i know now, she may still be alive if she had changed her way of living. and that is hard.
when i was laying down for the gallbladder ultrasound there was something telling me it was my liver, and i imagined how scared she must have been in that situation but having no way to get better the way i still do. my mother loved me more than anything, and knowing she was going to die and leave me (her words) was something i know she felt guilty about until the final weeks of her life. i fully believe if she knew what i know, she would have changed.
i am not jaundice, i do not have serious symptoms except occasional discomfort in my abdomen. the craziest part is that this all happened on the anniversary of my mother's death, june 24th.
if she is still somewhere in existance, maybe she was warning me to change before it was too late.
the truth is until now i did not understand the connection between what you eat and your liver, especially if you are diabetic or prediabetic. i am trying really hard not to blame myself, but the truth is my diet for the last few years have been absolutely atrocious. i would wake up and have a sugary iced coffee and a chocolate croissant every day. for lunch i would have pizza or something fast and easy like that and when i got home i would have pasta almost every day. then i would have snacks like chocolate covered pretzels or a pint of ice cream like it was nothing.
if i had been more careful, maybe i wouldn't be where i am now. but the past is the past and truth be told i have an addiction to sugar. the first two weeks after my diabetes diagnosis i felt insane. i cried in the grocery store because i wanted to get candy and soda so bad. it was physically painful not to. but... now a month later those cravings are gone. i do not even WANT a ben & jerrys - as if something in my body switched. and that step was hard, but it has been worth it.
the hardest part has been finding food in the us that is actually healthy and not MARKETED to be healthy. these are different things and i learned that recently too.
i want to make it clear that i am not shaming how anyone eats. i am not trying to lose weight because i don't like looking fat. i actually realized i am going to miss my fat body as i start to slim down. but i have to do this to live- this is not the case for everyone but it is for me.
now, if you made it this far i want to tell you some warning signs that i was seriously ill that i ignored for months.
1. i noticed random parts of the skin my body getting darker, specifically beneath and between my breasts and behind my neck. this is a sign of diabetes. i also noticed my skin would tear very easily, specifically my hands.
2. i had to pee all the time. like. literally every 15-20 minutes. at one point i was getting up to pee about 7 times a night. and when i did it smelled like liquid cane sugar. this was my first "oh shit" moment.
3. this is taboo to talk about but i suspected i was diabetic when i suddenly got a really severe yeast infection.
4. my skin was breaking out like it never had. i also had light colored stools.
5. oddly dizzy and feeling weird. down the list bc everyone knows this one.
6. lastly. pain in my upper right stomach, under the ribs. if you feel pain here and are either diabetic or prediabetic, ask your doctor to check your liver enzymes and if you cannot see a doctor consider making changes to your life style within your personal capacity.
anyway, thank you for helping me and if you read this thank youuu for that as well and i hope it's somewhat helpful to someone out there 🫶🏻

elizajaneface: I’ve gotten a lot of questions since posting about my trip to @prenuvo I’ll answer the most common ones here. I’ll also pop the link in my bio for you to book your own scan with my code incase you missed it in my story 😊
🙋‍♀️Is it safe? Yes! The MRI is extremely safe, completely painless, and radiation free.
🙋‍♀️ What do they scan for? 500 different diseases and cancers including spinal issues, aneurysms, and fatty liver disease. (Andrew, their CEO told me that on average they’ve been able to give a potentially life saving diagnosis to 1/20 people)
🙋‍♀️Is it scary? I’ll admit I was nervous going in (I’m claustrophobic) but they prescribed me a sedative before my appointment, talked me through the process thoroughly, and put Netflix on for me during the scan which made the time fly by a lot faster.
🙋‍♀️ How did you feel afterwards? Going in for a test like this that could reveal an undesirable diagnosis is scary. But I’m really proud of myself for going through with it. Overall it was a great experience and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to take control of their health ☺️
🙋‍♀️ When do you get the results? I should get them in 1 - 2 weeks. They’ll be available to me on the prenuvo app and I’ll also receive a call to talk me through them. Will share in my story! Stay tuned! 💕

Mélovin Health Update: What We Know So Far (11/13/2023)
Okay so normally I'd just reblog the last post I made, but after trawling through countless news/tabloids sites, Reddit, and the cesspool that is Twitter and sorting through the various information available, it seemed more important to make a separate post entirely so people could see.
HERE IS WHAT HAS HAPPENED/WHAT WE KNOW:
-Mel has been diagnosed with a serious illness.
-I cannot *personally* confirm for sure what illness, HOWEVER, most sources are reporting that it is steatohepatitis, a liver condition, sometimes also known as "Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease"
-In essence: this is essentially an inflammation of the liver caused by fat cells building up in said liver, not brought on by drinking alcohol.
-It is considered a metabolic disorder. There are several potential causes, most of which are tied to type 2 diabetes and obesity complications, hormone imbalances such as with the thyroid, but it can also just be bad luck of the genetic draw.
-This is NOT the same condition as viral hepatitis (aka Hepatitis C, etc.) I mention this specifically because some sites are incorrectly reporting this claim and people are already using that misinformation as ammo to be homophobic and claim that he got this condition as a result of his "orientation". Do not do this. Do not be these people.
-Is it terminal or is it incurable? Well, that's the muddied part of this. Even Mel used the term 'terminal' in his Instagram post about this, however many sources seem to point to 'incurable' as a more accurate term. It could be that the words are very similar in Ukrainian and thus the confusion there.
-Note that steatohepatitis *is* incurable, however it *may* or *may not* be terminal/fatal. We don't know how long he's had it, if there was liver damage already present before his being officially diagnosed, and to what extent. The main complications that can lead to death if no treatment is administered are cirrhosis and scarring, even liver cancer, which the only treatment at that point would be a full liver transplant. Without treatment, expectancy is anywhere between 3-5 years in severe cases, or 10-15 in lesser ones. Again, this is not proof of anything yet, this is only the general knowledge I have gained from researching this condition.
-This diagnosis came about as a result of bloodwork when he intended to get some kind of cosmetic procedure.
-(Before anyone asks what cosmetic surgery was he getting - that I don't know, and I don't think anyone else does either. He hasn't said, and cosmetic is a very broad term and can range from anything like traditionally thought-of plastic surgeries to something less intensive like a mole removal or getting his teeth worked on. Personally I think he's too young to be getting cosmetic work done, but that's not important right now.)
-He is seeking/undergoing treatment and currently resting and recovering at home with his family.
-His Instagram is currently private to non-followers, probably to prevent harassment. I have downloaded the video regarding this apparent diagnosis announcement and will try to upload it.
-He is still apparently on the longlist for competing in Vidbir, as announced by Suspilne.
-It is not known if this will impact the release of his newest song or further music going forward.
= o = o = o = o = o = o =
If more develops, I will try to let you all know. Right now, please just try to be supportive, don't harass him or his friends/family for more info (he will no doubt tell us when he is ready), and don't spread wild misinformation. We can only imagine what he must be going through right now. Even if this ends up not being nearly as bad as it sounds, getting a lifelong illness diagnosis is not easy for anyone to handle.

Bitsie Tulloch via Facebook: As many of you are aware, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I recently got my first mammogram and found out i have very dense breast tissue which is problematic for two reasons - cancer is much harder to spot by mammogram if you have dense breasts, and it also puts you at a higher risk of developing breast cancer.
That was news to me. So something I’m going to really monitor closely in the future. Which brings me to my decision to get a full body MRI at Prenuvo.
I’d been researching various places to do this but picked Prenuvo bc they use advanced MRI to perform a preventative full body scan that screens for cancer at stage one and 500 (!!!) other conditions (including aneurysms, spine herniations, fatty liver disease). Plus the scan is safe bc it doesn’t involve contrast or radiation.
Their mission is to make late stage cancer diagnosis a thing of the past, which I love! My grandpa died from late stage cancer fairly young. 😞 On average they give a life saving diagnosis to 1/20. I’m a little anxious about the results which I get in 5-10 days but I figured if something’s up it’s all about early detection. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Btw This isn’t a paid post! But I did ask them when I was there for a discount for you guys bc I wanted to post about it: prenuvo.com/BITSIE and the scan is expensive. (It’s for $300 off)
Pls be aware of the importance of early detection even if you can’t afford something like this. TRUST YOUR GUT. If your body is feeling off then see a doctor. Love you all ❤️❤️❤️

Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) Therapeutics and Diagnostics Market: Analysis and Forecast to 2032
Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH), a severe form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), has emerged as a critical global health issue. Characterized by inflammation and damage to the liver due to fat accumulation, NASH can progress to more serious conditions such as cirrhosis, liver failure, or even hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer). The growing incidence of obesity, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic syndrome has contributed to the rising prevalence of NASH, leading to increased demand for effective therapeutic and diagnostic solutions. This article explores the market trends, drivers, challenges, and opportunities for NASH therapeutics and diagnostics through 2032.
Overview of NASH and the Importance of Therapeutics and Diagnostics
NASH affects millions of people worldwide, often developing silently without clear symptoms until it reaches an advanced stage. The accumulation of fat in the liver triggers inflammation, leading to scarring and liver damage. This progression can be fatal if left untreated, underscoring the urgent need for both therapeutics to manage the condition and diagnostics to identify it in its early stages.
Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis Nash Therapeutics And Diagnostics Market Size was estimated at 15.17 (USD Billion) in 2023. The Non Alcoholic Steatohepatitis Nash Therapeutics And Diagnostics Market Industry is expected to grow from 16.7(USD Billion) in 2024 to 36.1 (USD Billion) by 2032. The Non Alcoholic Steatohepatitis Nash Therapeutics And Diagnostics Market CAGR (growth rate) is expected to be around 10.11% during the forecast period (2025 - 2032).
Currently, no approved therapies specifically target NASH, making the condition one of the most sought-after areas for drug development. Lifestyle interventions such as diet and exercise remain the primary treatment options, but the pharmaceutical industry is racing to develop drugs that can halt or reverse liver damage. Moreover, the need for advanced diagnostic techniques to accurately detect and monitor NASH progression has grown, with several non-invasive tools and biomarkers under development.
Key Market Drivers
The NASH therapeutics and diagnostics market is poised for rapid growth in the coming decade, driven by several key factors:
Rising Prevalence of NASH: The global obesity epidemic is a significant contributor to the increasing incidence of NASH. As obesity rates continue to rise, particularly in high-income countries, the number of NASH cases is expected to grow in parallel. NASH is also closely linked to type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome, both of which are becoming more prevalent. This rising disease burden is fueling demand for therapeutic and diagnostic solutions.
Lack of Approved Therapies: Despite the urgent need, there are currently no FDA-approved drugs specifically for NASH, creating a significant unmet medical need. Pharmaceutical companies are heavily investing in research and development (R&D) to bring the first NASH-specific therapies to market. Several late-stage clinical trials are underway, with potential drug approvals expected within the next few years, offering hope to patients and driving market growth.
Advances in Diagnostic Technologies: Early diagnosis of NASH is crucial for preventing liver damage and improving patient outcomes. Historically, liver biopsy has been the gold standard for diagnosing NASH, but this invasive procedure has significant risks. As a result, there has been a surge in the development of non-invasive diagnostics, such as imaging techniques and blood-based biomarkers, which are becoming more reliable and widely adopted. These advancements are expected to play a major role in the growth of the NASH diagnostics market.
Increased Investment in Research and Development: The pharmaceutical industry’s interest in NASH therapeutics has led to increased investment in clinical research. Major players, including companies like Gilead Sciences, Novo Nordisk, and Pfizer, are advancing a pipeline of drugs targeting the various mechanisms of NASH progression. The influx of investment is accelerating the pace of drug discovery and innovation, which will likely lead to a wave of new treatments hitting the market by 2032.
Market Challenges
Despite the promising growth outlook, the NASH therapeutics and diagnostics market faces several challenges:
Complexity of Disease Pathophysiology: NASH is a complex condition with multiple underlying mechanisms, including insulin resistance, oxidative stress, and inflammation. Developing drugs that effectively target these pathways without causing adverse side effects has proven difficult. Many promising drug candidates have failed in late-stage trials, highlighting the challenges of creating effective NASH therapies.
High Costs of Drug Development: The development of NASH therapeutics is costly and time-consuming. Pharmaceutical companies face substantial financial risks as they invest in R&D without guaranteed success. Additionally, once approved, the high costs of these drugs may limit access, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, posing a barrier to market penetration.
Regulatory Hurdles: Gaining regulatory approval for new NASH therapies is a major challenge. Regulatory agencies like the FDA and EMA require rigorous clinical evidence to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of potential treatments. The lack of clear surrogate endpoints for assessing therapeutic efficacy in NASH further complicates the approval process, as long-term clinical outcomes are often needed.
Opportunities for Growth
Despite the challenges, the NASH therapeutics and diagnostics market presents several opportunities for growth:
Emerging Markets: While the prevalence of NASH is highest in high-income countries, the growing rates of obesity and diabetes in emerging markets like Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and the Middle East are driving demand for NASH therapies. These regions represent untapped markets with significant growth potential, as healthcare systems in these areas expand and improve access to treatment.
Collaborations and Partnerships: Strategic collaborations between pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and diagnostic companies are driving innovation in NASH therapeutics and diagnostics. These partnerships are helping to accelerate drug development, improve clinical trial design, and develop more accurate diagnostic tools.
Biomarker Development: The discovery of reliable biomarkers for diagnosing and monitoring NASH progression is a key area of research. Non-invasive biomarkers that can accurately reflect liver inflammation and fibrosis offer a promising alternative to traditional liver biopsies. Companies focusing on biomarker research are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of NASH diagnostics.
Growing Awareness and Screening Initiatives: Increased awareness of NASH among healthcare professionals and the general public is driving early detection efforts. Screening initiatives targeting at-risk populations, such as those with obesity, diabetes, or metabolic syndrome, are expected to increase the number of diagnosed cases and the demand for both therapeutics and diagnostics.
Market Outlook to 2032
The NASH therapeutics and diagnostics market is expected to grow significantly over the next decade, driven by rising disease prevalence, advancements in drug development, and improved diagnostic techniques. While challenges remain, the increasing investment in R&D and the anticipated approval of new therapies will drive market growth through 2032. Emerging markets, strategic partnerships, and the development of non-invasive diagnostics will also contribute to the expansion of the market. By 2032, the NASH therapeutics and diagnostics landscape will be vastly different, with new treatments offering hope for millions of patients worldwide.

What Are the Common Signs of Fatty Liver Disease?
Fatty liver disease, or hepatic steatosis, is a growing concern worldwide, particularly in urban areas where lifestyle factors are rapidly changing. At the Gastro, Liver & Endoscopy Center, we understand the importance of early detection and treatment for this condition. Our clinic is renowned as the Best Fibroscan Centre in Ghaziabad & Noida, providing top-notch diagnostic services to our patients. In this blog, we'll explore the common signs of fatty liver disease, so you can recognize them early and seek appropriate care.
Tumblr media
What is Fatty Liver Disease?:
Fatty liver disease occurs when excess fat builds up in the liver cells. This condition can be categorized into two main types:
Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD): Not related to alcohol consumption, it is often linked to obesity, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome.
Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (AFLD): Caused by excessive alcohol intake, which leads to fat accumulation in liver cells.
If left untreated, fatty liver disease can progress to more severe liver conditions, such as non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and cirrhosis. Recognizing the signs early is crucial for effective management and treatment.
Common Signs of Fatty Liver Disease:
Fatigue:
One of the earliest and most common symptoms of fatty liver disease is persistent fatigue. If you find yourself feeling unusually tired despite getting adequate rest, it might be worth investigating further. Fatigue can result from the liver’s reduced ability to process nutrients and toxins effectively.
Unexplained Weight Loss:
While weight gain is often associated with fatty liver disease, unexplained weight loss can also be a symptom. As the disease progresses, it can affect your metabolism and appetite, leading to sudden weight changes. If you’re experiencing weight loss without a clear cause, it’s important to consult a healthcare professional.
Abdominal Discomfort:
Discomfort or pain in the upper right side of the abdomen can be indicative of fatty liver disease. This discomfort may arise due to the liver swelling or inflammation. If you notice persistent abdominal pain or a feeling of fullness, especially after eating, seek medical advice to rule out liver issues.
Jaundice:
Jaundice is a condition where the skin and the whites of the eyes turn yellow. This occurs when the liver is not processing bilirubin—a substance produced from the breakdown of red blood cells—effectively. If you notice yellowing of your skin or eyes, it may be a sign of advanced liver disease and warrants immediate attention.
Swelling in the Abdomen or Legs:
Fluid retention, or edema, can cause noticeable swelling in the abdomen (ascites) or legs (peripheral edema). This can occur as the liver struggles to function properly and regulate fluids in the body. If you experience unusual swelling, it could be a sign of a more serious liver condition.
Dark Urine and Pale Stool:
Changes in urine and stool color can also signal liver problems. Dark urine may indicate the presence of excess bilirubin, while pale stools may suggest a lack of bile reaching the intestines. These symptoms can point to fatty liver disease or other liver-related issues, and a consultation with a specialist is recommended.
Elevated Liver Enzymes:
Fatty liver disease often leads to elevated levels of liver enzymes in the blood. Common tests, such as liver function tests (LFTs), can detect these elevated enzyme levels. If your blood tests show abnormal results, further diagnostic tests may be necessary.
Diagnostic Tools and Tests:
Early diagnosis is key to managing fatty liver disease effectively. At the Gastro, Liver & Endoscopy Center, we offer a range of diagnostic tools to evaluate liver health:
Fibroscan Test:
One of the most advanced and non-invasive methods for assessing liver stiffness and fat content is the Fibroscan test. Often referred to as the Best Fibroscan Centre in Ghaziabad & Noida, we provide accurate and efficient Fibroscan services. This test helps determine the degree of liver damage and is crucial for distinguishing between simple fatty liver and more severe conditions like NASH.
Blood Tests:
Routine blood tests can reveal elevated liver enzymes and other markers indicative of liver inflammation or damage. These tests provide essential information about liver function and help in assessing the extent of the disease.
Imaging Studies:
Ultrasounds and CT scans can be used to visualize fat accumulation in the liver. These imaging studies assist in confirming a diagnosis and evaluating the progression of the disease.
Seeking Help:
If you experience any of the signs mentioned above or have risk factors for fatty liver disease, it’s crucial to seek medical advice promptly. I have no idea if I will be able to be able to relay all I am experiencing adequately, but here goes nothing. At any rate, I’m better at writing after putting thought into my words. TLDR is at the bottom, but I appreciate anyone who reads through this whole thing. But I understand skipping to the bottom or just skipping me altogether.
Tomorrow, I will see this rheumatologist who I started seeing this year. I got the blood work done for her again. I don’t know how many times I’ve had my blood drawn this year, but the lady who gave me my CT Scan with Contrast back around (May??) said my left arm was tough to find a vein in because the skin was getting tougher and the veins were showing signs of hardening with like scar tissue. But I think she was just struggling, tbh, because the guy I go to for my bloodwork, who practically knows me at this point, can get the vein on the first go with minimal bruising (usually.) I didn’t bruise this time too badly, anyway. So once again, another complete metabolic panel, and for the 50th time this year (a bit of an exaggeration, but every blood test has this one, and I’ve had my blood drawn a lot this year), I had C-Reactive Protein tested, too. Sedimentation Rate made a reappearance and is now being monitored with the C-reactive protein (I guess.) The SedRate was high in Spring/Early Summer but has since normalized. Unfortunately, the C-reactive protein has remained high and has left the 30s. Congrats to me! C-Reactive Protein is 44-49 (I had another recent blood draw from my primary doctor, which was 49 then.)
Anyway, let’s quickly break down my blood results, which, according to Labcorp, are abnormal.
The first runner-up is RBC or Red Blood Cells. Technically, this is normal at 5.26 x10E6/uL but becomes moderately high at 5.29, so I feel I am pushing it. However, the good news is that hemoglobin is normal on the lower end of the halfway marker for the normal range, and Hematocrit is on the higher end for Normal. So this probably won’t mean anything to my doctors, who have yet to figure out why my C-reactive protein is high and going up with my symptoms worsening. There has been no real concern about diagnosing me or no big rush, anyway, and no treatment, of course, because how could there be any treatment with no diagnosis? So let’s just keep ordering the ambiguous CRP test and see where that gets us, right? (Sarcasm.)
Anyway, the next one that caught my attention: MCH is low at 24.7. Otherwise known as the average amount of hemoglobin found in the red blood cells in the body. This is not unusual for me, actually. My MCH and MCHC seem to like these low values. What I find strange is that they like these low values while my ferritin and hemoglobin tango in the realm of “normal.” MCHC, btw, is at 30.2 and is the average weight of hemoglobin based on the volume of red blood cells. A low MCHC value may be a sign of anemia or other conditions.
Ready for the next confusing thing concerning my red blood cells? My RDW is moderately high at 15.6, which isn’t unusual either, technically, since with these blood tests over the past five years, it has been staying around there. (Although so have my symptoms, albeit a milder form of them that wasn’t debilitating.) The RDW test measures the variation of size and volume of the body's red blood cells. Typically, red blood cells are relatively equal in shape and size - however, red blood cells can have a distorted shape or be smaller or larger than normal due to some health conditions and diseases. Low RDW values generally do not have clinical significance. Other than that, things were fine. However, some of the tests for liver function, damage, and disease are showing that I am starting to trend up. In other words, I am working my way toward liver damage or something with the gallbladder or kidneys. But it was no surprise since the CT scan revealed evidence of fatty tissue on my liver. But I’ll see a new primary doctor at the end of the month and await the dismissal of everything I am experiencing in favor of “Have you just tried losing weight? Or how about we staple your stomach at a young age even though eating isn’t your problem?” I’m not holding out hope for this new resident. The old one wasn’t very helpful, nor was the one before that. And on it goes. I am in my mid-twenties and can’t keep up with those my age because I am so sick. But sure, it is all the fat. Never mind the fact that the weight came after the symptoms started. I was always plus size, but I miss being XL. I want to be XL plus size again. I want to be able to live ffs. Let me be 100% clear: I am not fat-shaming or saying people larger than XL can’t live a normal life. They can. There are plenty of people larger than me who can outpace me. It’s just I have body image issues, and the weight is a detriment to me getting doctors to fucking listen. Or wear certain graphic tees that don’t run in my size. But, ya know, choose your battles or whatever.
And that’s why I’m screaming into this void. Because I want to live, but my body doesn’t, and it is absolute bullshit. It is such a sick fucking joke that growing up, I dealt with depression, no support for my autism, trauma, bullying, and wanting to die. And then, I get all healed and better. I have a will to live; I work on improving myself and growing. I want to go out in the world and contribute. But then my body becomes a new prison, and this time, I am absolutely held against my will because I can’t do anything to fix it! I don’t know why my abdomen is having digestion issues, cramping, bloating, and tenderness. I don’t know why I am dealing with costochondritis again and feeling my ribs in my body because I can feel the sting and the stab of the inflamed cartilage. I don’t know why my left leg is larger than my right. I don’t know why my neck and shoulders or my knees hurt. I don’t know why I am so unbelievably fatigued and why I also have a general feeling of just being ill. I don’t know why it hurts when someone applies the faintest pressure anywhere on my body. I don’t know why lying down to sleep, especially on my left side, makes my vagus nerve act like a little bitch so that I think I’m about to throw up right when I am almost asleep, and then I have to breathe calmly to calm it down as I feel the tingles of the nerves go down each arm. I can’t even walk for long without pain, my hip clicking, and the sickness in my gut reaching such an unbearable point of discomfort. Not to mention the costochondritis is making it really fucking hard to walk right now.
Because of all that is going on with my gut, vagus nerve, fatigue, and total body tenderness and aching, the last thing I needed was my rib cage to protest being a part of this body. I actually don’t eat that much now. I’ve always been a grazer. Lately, however, my grazing foods have also made me feel sicker. Eating makes me feel sicker. Water makes me feel sicker! My gut absolutely wants no part in what helps it to do its job. Which is, you know, FUCKING FOOD. I recently went on a trip to North Carolina and couldn’t do all the things I wanted to do because I was so ill.
So, let’s summarize what all this means. The TL;DR: I can’t fucking eat. I can’t fucking sleep. I can’t fucking breathe. I can’t fucking move. I can’t live my life to the fullest or go and do things I want to do because all the shitty and chronic sensations are building up and taking their toll. I can’t even get upset or excited or jump up and down, scream, or cry. That would make everything flare up. I think about killing myself several times a week despite not actually wanting to die. (So I have high doubts I will act on it, but at the rate my body is falling apart, I don’t know if I can say the same for it.) And doctors have no fucking idea what is going on, and I am so sick and tired of being SICK AND TIRED.
Tumblr media
Really feeling Geralt's rage here. Need me a magic cure, man, because I cannot keep going on with this shit.

Dr. Ganesh Nagarajan: Liver Cancer Treatment in Mumbai
Tumblr media
Liver cancer is one of the most serious and life-threatening forms of cancer. As with most cancers, early detection and effective treatment are key to improving survival rates. For patients in India, particularly in Mumbai, access to top-tier liver cancer care is essential. Dr. Ganesh Nagarajan, a renowned surgical oncologist, provides crucial insights into the causes, symptoms, and treatment options available for liver cancer. His expertise has made him a trusted figure in Liver Cancer Treatment in Mumbai, helping many patients navigate this difficult diagnosis.
Understanding Liver Cancer: An Overview
Liver cancer occurs when cells in the liver begin to grow uncontrollably, forming a malignant tumor. There are different types of liver cancer, the most common being hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), which originates in the main type of liver cells. Less commonly, cancer can begin in the bile ducts or blood vessels within the liver.
In most cases, liver cancer does not show any noticeable symptoms in the early stages. By the time it is diagnosed, the disease may have already progressed to an advanced stage. Dr. Ganesh Nagarajan emphasizes the importance of regular screening, especially for those with risk factors like chronic hepatitis or cirrhosis, as it could lead to early detection and more effective liver cancer treatment in Mumbai.
Causes and Risk Factors of Liver Cancer
Dr. Ganesh Nagarajan explains that liver cancer is primarily associated with chronic liver conditions. Some of the most common risk factors include:
Chronic Hepatitis B and C: Both hepatitis B and C are viral infections that lead to liver inflammation. Over time, this inflammation can cause cirrhosis, which significantly increases the risk of developing liver cancer.
Cirrhosis: This is a condition where scar tissue gradually replaces healthy liver tissue, impairing liver function. Cirrhosis can result from various factors, including long-term alcohol abuse, fatty liver disease, and chronic viral hepatitis.
Alcohol Consumption: Excessive alcohol intake is another leading cause of liver cancer. Over time, it can lead to cirrhosis, which heightens the risk of cancerous cell formation.
Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD): As obesity and type 2 diabetes become more common, so does NAFLD. This condition can lead to liver inflammation, scarring, and, ultimately, cancer.
Exposure to Aflatoxins: These harmful substances, produced by fungi found in crops, particularly grains and nuts, have been linked to liver cancer.
Symptoms of Liver Cancer
As Dr. Ganesh Nagarajan explains, liver cancer is often referred to as a "silent" disease because its symptoms may not appear until it has reached an advanced stage. Some common symptoms that may indicate liver cancer include:
Unexplained weight loss
Loss of appetite
Upper abdominal pain
Jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes)
General weakness and fatigue
Nausea and vomiting
For anyone experiencing these symptoms, seeking an expert opinion from a specialized clinic offering liver cancer treatment in Mumbai is critical. Early diagnosis and immediate treatment offer the best chance of success.
Treatment Options for Liver Cancer
Dr. Ganesh Nagarajan emphasizes that liver cancer treatment in Mumbai varies based on the stage of cancer, overall liver function, and the patient’s health. Some of the most common treatment options include:
Surgery: If the tumor is small and localized, surgical resection can be performed to remove the cancerous part of the liver. In certain cases, a liver transplant may also be considered.
Ablation and Embolization: For patients who are not suitable candidates for surgery, techniques such as radiofrequency ablation (RFA) or transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) can be used to destroy cancer cells or block blood flow to the tumor.
Targeted Therapy: This treatment involves using drugs that specifically target cancer cells while sparing normal cells, helping to slow the progression of the disease.
Chemotherapy: While liver cancer is often resistant to chemotherapy, it may still be used in some cases to shrink tumors or slow their growth.
Immunotherapy: A newer form of treatment, immunotherapy works by stimulating the immune system to attack cancer cells.
Conclusion
Liver cancer remains a challenging diagnosis, but with advances in medical treatments, there is hope. For those in need of liver cancer treatment in Mumbai, Dr. Ganesh Nagarajan's clinic offers expert care and cutting-edge therapies designed to give patients the best possible outcome. With a focus on individualized treatment plans, he is a trusted resource for anyone facing this difficult disease.
