"For as long as he can remember, sins have caused Dean physical pain." in my mind this fic is in the golden hall of wincest fame. the idea of materializing dean's guilt is SO CRAZY and ingenious given he is THEE guilt character. especially in a story about the taboo of incest. dean's internal struggle in most wincest fics is already so delicious and painful but to make it a physical sensation that he is constantly aware of puts this perfect bow on him as a character. also because sam DOESN'T KNOW until so late into the story. are you kidding. also an actually GOOD example of bdsm!! a masterpiece, go read it and show the author allll the love!!

The Road Rhythm Outro by brokenlittleboy Sam/Dean, 50k, E [violence]

"A routine hunt goes horribly wrong. A curtain fic dealing with permanent injury, angst, and various types of trauma, and fluffy domesticity." this is my favourite permanent injury fic! the author clearly researched a lot to make it accurate and that makes it hit so much harder. there's not only the initial grief and pain, but also the recovery journey, and a thorough exploration of sam's struggle after his injury and how it effects his relationship with dean.

Sam masturbates to the infamous S5 voicemail. #1 for hottest samdean smut fic. PLUS a voicemail fix-it! this particular niche of humiliation kink is my fav and i haven't found any other piece of writing that does it quite so well. it's hot and captivating while still feeling in-character. if this sounds like your thing as well then definitely check this out because it's insanely good!

"There's nothing good on TV, and Sam's contemplating killing his father again." i had to control myself from putting all of china's fics on this list. she is SUCH an amazing writer and the way she writes johndean is my absolute favourite in the fandom. this fic manages such a delicious balance between hot, violent, possessive and horrific. i don't know how she does it! @-@

"Sam wants Dean, but he'd like him even better dead." yes, this is necrophilia smut. BUT- it's also a character study and an insanely interesting look into the psychology of paraphilias. i firmly believe sam would be into something weird given the way he grew up, and the author really displays that in an accurate way. 10/10 most tasteful necrophilia i have ever consumed.

Dean finds out that Sam's too big for most condoms. my fav take on the bigdick!Sam fanon. there is something soo hot about a guy being too big to be contained... it rolls perfectly into sam's gentle giant thing where he's sooo big and powerful yet quiet and unassuming. also sizequeen!Dean. whats not to love.

Brittle by thecapn Sam/Dean, Sam/Jess, 30k, E [TW ED]

"Sam Winchester has an eating disorder." so- i couldn't reread this fic when i was putting together this list. not because it's bad but because it is so beautifully written, raw and accurate that i couldn't read it again because it got me worked up. it's really that good. the ending manages to be positive without feeling preachy, and at the same time has that lingering pain of how difficult recovery is. massive tw for eds obviously, but if you can stomach the content then this is a must-read fic.

An angel erases Dean's memories, but only the ones about his relationship with Sam. silly amnesia fic from the one and only applecrumbledore. there's some angst as well where we get to see sam's grief over losing his relationship with dean and dean working through all the roadblocks they had to overcome to finally get together. as always the characterization is perfect and the writing is so engaging and witty.

Lima Syndrome by guestwho (@guestwho) Sam/Dean, 20k, E

Sam has extensive facial scarring from the fire. John locks him away, and Dean is as usual, not normal about him. holy SHIT i cannot rave enough about this story. it's one of those fics where you read it and wish there was more or an actual book about it because the author's writing is so compelling. it's an interesting take on the whole sam/dean codependency thing with an angle that's less supernatural focused. also freak!sam in this is sooo captivating and the smut gave me shivers, just go read it, i promise you won't be disappointed!!

Dean's dead but his ghost lingers. Sam struggles to reach out to him. this is such a depressing but hopeful fic. it broke my heart the first time i read it, especially considering how dean dies in the finale. in my mind if dean ever died he would refuse to pass on and stay with sam just like in this fic.

Dean has a rape fantasy. Sam indulges him, and things come to light. a perfect mixture of smut and hurt/comfort. i also love how sam & dean's hell trauma is integrated into the johndean CSA. the scene where dean says 'dad'- i genuinely felt my stomach drop. haven't had a reaction like that from fanfic in a LONG time !! very well-written.

So I clearly have a very strong preference for enemies to lovers, exes to lovers, and amnesia fics (which isn't that surprising because The Vow is my favourite movie). I do have some other fics that I love, but I personally feel like they need really strong trigger warnings, and I don't want to do that to someone else fic in a public post, so you can message me if you want (although they're all fairly well-known).

Before proceeding I would like to explain the list I made, first of all, these are based on the fics I've been reading since April because before that I didn't make monthly fic recs and didn't have a proper tag for the fics I read. In the end, just scrolling endlessly through my posts to find the fics I read before would take too long so I decided to just start with April 💜 this are the fics that I've thought about constantly during the boring days.

This is incredibly soft with the perfect amount of feels. It's rare that I read anything without smut (what can I say, I'm thirsty always) but this one was amazing and just screams peter parker to me.

3. Sweet Girl of Mine by @inklore (tasm!peter)

this was one of the first things I read of Laura's and fell in love immediately. Peter is a menace in this one and if you want that man to praise you this fic is the way to go.

I was deep into the mcu!peter x Michelle hole and while scouring tumble for fics for them this one popped up, still to this day I think about this. The angst, the hurt, it's all in here and I love it.

This is one of those fics I think about again and again, I couldn't shake this one off after reading it for a while. I was just in love. The way you write the toxicity laced with love is stunning, this is one of my all-time favorites. Everything about this one is so raw and enticing.

2. Venus, Planet of Love by @peterthepark (steven grant)

The voice of Steven is stunning here. If you love friends to lovers I'm here to say that this is the one. It has all the feels and whenever I read it I just feel nice and fuzzy (and also horny because damn the smut is stunning)

3. Spirals and Skin by @clints-lucky-arrow (steven grant)

As someone with tattoos, I was mesmerized by this. I still think about how desperate Steven was in the kitchen and how he painted readers tattoos. Just amazing, I love it so much.

4. Mirror's Edge by @astroboots (marc , steven)

I will never, ever, forget this one. Especially the ending with steven being so comforting and coming out, and the writing stunning. The emotions I felt while reading this was so real.

5. Talking Shadows by @foli-vora (khonshu)

Yes, Khonshu. The writing is beautiful, the feeling, and the way Khonshu is constantly talking in the background. I couldn't forget this one even if I tried.

I'm pretty sure anyone who knows me knows how much I adore this series. It's my comfort, my safe space and Kelli's writing is to die for. The emotions this fic has is brilliant and I'll never forget it.

2. Stay Close by @ezrasbirdie (pero trovar)

This series has everything; action, spice, fluff, hurt/comfort. It's everything wrapped in an absolutely beautifully written package. I love it, one of the rare fics that I truly relate to the reader. I can never have too much of it.

3. Sex Worker!frankie morales au by @prolix-yuy (frankie morales)

This one feels like a nice warm bowl of soup on a cold day. It has all the feels, amazing story-building and the smut is delicious. I cannot recommend this one enough. One of my favorite frankie's.

4. Palomino by @fuckyeahdindjarin (jack daniels)

Another one of my comfort fics, cowboy jack is truly something else and a threat of giving me a heart attack. This fic is charming, the mutual pining is everything and I have no idea what I would do without it.

5. Mutual by @the-scandalorian (din djarin)

This is just one of those stories that makes me feel so much. I love Din in this, I love their relationship and how they come together. The drabble for the series absolutely wrecked my heart. It's hot, it's emotional and reader is one I can relate to. Just perfect.

Adversity by @the-ginger-hedge-witch (ezra & frankie morales)

One of my favorite westerns to date, I love the combination of ezra and frankie and adore the way their relationship grows when a third is added. The writing is amazing and one of those fics I can't simply read forever.

I honestly think that I don't scream about this one enough. Cat manages to show paintings with nothing but words and the story, the arranged marriage, the soulmates, everything about it is beautiful.

Monster Din is one of the best creations and I adore him. The word you built with this one is so vivid and as I said before whenever it rains I think about them, monster!din going on a hunt lives rent-free in my mind, and the scene where reader is taking a dip in the lake.

3. Postcards by @write-and-buried (joel miller)

Reading this gave me goosebumps, everything that happens in it feels so real and I love how tense everything feels from chapter one. One of the joel fics that inspire me the most.

4. Reflective by @prolix-yuy (max phillips)

I screamed about this to you multiple times but honestly, this two-parter lives rent-free in my head. Especially the scene after reader leaves, absolutely horrifying and sexy, best of both worlds.

Ah yes, homecoming. My second biggest comfort fic. It seriously helped me through a lot and everything about it I love. One of my favorite portrayals of Santiago, I relate to him a ridiculous amount and this series will forever live in my heart.

2. Stranger At My Gate by @leslie-lyman (pero tovar)

This is the perfect holiday/winter read. I love this one a not-so-normal amount, it gives me all the feels, laughter, and all the good warm fuzzy feelings. I love the story-telling, the magic, and your pero I adore.

3. Learning curves by @ezrasbirdie (frankie morales)

I read this when I wasn't in such a good place mentally and I swear that it healed me. The emotion, the fluff, the angst, all of it combined in this masterpiece of a series. I feel seen with this one and will never forget the frankie x benny x reader threesome. Live rent free in my head always.

4. Like a River by @radiowallet (marcus moreno, frankie morales)

I remember reading this like it was yesterday. The way their relationship blooms and forms despite the awkward moments is stunning and the way you thread everything together is outstanding. Again, like with all your works, I am in awe of your talent of making the reader able to literally see what you're describing.

This fic is the perfect friends-to-lovers story to me, I love the fact that it grew into something more after a one shot and the way you have written their relationship growing and evolving is heartwarming. One of my favorite Dieter's.

The first Zach fics I read and it was amazing. I love how they spontaneously meet and reading how Zach slowly regains his confidence thanks to reader's kindness. Zach's shower I will never forget.

2. Between the Raindrops by @jazzelsaur (frankie morales)

The emotions this one makes me go through are such an amazing ride. The characterization, the way you tie everything together is true craftsmanship and I am here for it. This series brought me near to tears despite the fact that I still haven't finished it yet (which is a crime) It's one of the most amazing things I read and Ellie (and you ofc) really inspired me to write my own ofc's.

3. you're somebody else @foli-vora (marcus pike )

Thinking about the betrayal in this one still makes my chest ache not gonna lie. Absolutely brutal but yet also intriguing, love the way you've written Marcus here, it's one of those stories that makes your mind crawl back to it

4. Red Flags Masterlist by @astroboots & @thirstworldproblemss (moonknight)

This one is absolutely one of my favorite Moonknight fics, the characterization is superb, the feeling and emotion this one has got me every time. It made me laugh multiple times and also made me worry about what might happen. Stunning writing and perfect in every way

This fic has lived in my mind rent free ever since I read it. I adore your Pero here and how they slowly learn to trust one another. This one isn't completed yet but I just cant wait to read more.

what's your favorite fic youve released so far?

ooh this is a hard one! i think from a previous life will always be special to me because it was the first thing i wrote on here. it started out as a one-shot but grew into an angsty slow burn, and i love going back and adding more to their story!

what happens tonight was my first request and i was really happy with how the fighting sequence turned out.

i still re-read a fall from grace sometimes, because it was the first baby billy fic i wrote and i really enjoyed the angsty hopelessness of their relationship.

and finally, the unexpected. wade is the most unproblematic character i've written for and i was unsure if i was going to be able to make anything worthy of reading because he's so nice, but i was really happy with how this turned out. i loved writing the subtle (or not) flirting at the bar.

i also LOVE writing the headcanons for all of my goggins gang and delving more into their characters.
