Haruno Sakura and misogynistic ass fandom

sakura haruno is one of the most hated chareters in naruto with her hate being so comically massive that it surprised the creator himself... but why ? what went wrong with sakura ?

I, in particular ,am not a fan of the way kishimoto wrote women in the manga or how shonen in general potrays female charechters. But the thing with sakura and misogyny is that it has more to do with the fandom than the author ,and if you ask me ,compared to how demented the fandom is ,kishimoto practically looks like a feminist icon . character criticisms dont bother me, but in the curious case of sakura alot of this “criticism” spirals down to very abbhorent misogyny.

starting right of the bat we have the dude-bros and self-projecting psycho's of the fandom, who hate her cause she's a shallow bitch(their main male charecter-onto whom they project- is a serial attention seeker btw , with being popular his main incentive in life) who likes the popular , good-looking guy and doesnt pay heed to the nice guy's advances dattebayo , no kidding -

i found it difficult to wrap my head around how this utterly gross misogynistic nonsense is so fucking common , it seems that sakura might have triggered their deep down incel by daring to want sasuke -and this also happens to be the reason why hinata is so popular amongst that particular crowd -because unlike that shallow bitch who rejected our nice guy, hinata worshiped his tiny err.."naru-chan"

these wankers' try to paint hinata as the submissive waifu prototype (erasing even her little canon qualitites we get to see to fulfil there deraged fantasies) and just to cope with the fact that sakura rejected naruto , but err he got the plastic doll waifu , so all is well. they dont end it here though , they go on to elaborate how miserable and sad sakura's life and is that this is what she deserves for "choosing the emo" over the nice guy , while naruto apparently had a better ending for himself by "scoring" hinata .

it reminds me of this apallingly misogynistic meme-

because y'know naruto just had some dirt in his eye when he calls sakura cute. or even when making a remark on how incredibly beautiful haku is, sakura is the objective female beauty standard he compares him to, and the true hidden beauty in the series is hinata imao(the one whose been called weird, plain and crumpy throughout canon) or the inferiority at sakura's rejection and sasuke's obvious superiority to naruto is curbed by hyping up naruto's own looks saying (based on anime filler nonsense) that naruto "gets princess" and sasuke gets normal girls , while throughout the manga the only girl that shows any sort of romantic/sexual interest in naruto -is hinata (and the reason why she likes naruto has little to do w looks) , thats it , even when he becomes the messiah of the hidden village by making pain revive everyone-no girl is interested in him (I adore Kishimoto for doing this and not sticking to the sexist bs of these shallow bitches like our underdog nice guy only when he become popular GRR..GRR.., except for princess byakugan ofc- thennnn lo and behold ,studio peirriot uses this misogynist ass trope in "naruto:the last" , there is only a limit to keep rejecting you deranged fanbase i guess, sometimes one must comply for money)

these petty dumbsos dont even stop here, you though misogyny was enough? what about misogyny+sexualisation(of an UNDERAGE character) +body shaming ?

since sakura has commited the blashphemy of daring to reject naruto's advances (did you hear the recent news of a black woman getting hospitalized after she rejected a dude, becasue that turd was so pissed at her audacity that he threw a brick on her face or that gory case of junko furuta,may her soul be in peace,which is so sick i dont even want to delve into it), , dude-bros have to , no, NEED TO find ways to get back at her , uh? u rejected naruto? what is also curious is kishimoto doesnt comment anything on sakura's chest throughout the manga -he does add a panel of naruto's smol pp,and how naruto is insecure about it -NO one in canon says anything about anyone's bosom (excpet that creep jiraiya, but even he spares underage girls) and sakura almost never mentions any insecurity related to her boob size , she is insecure that she has big forehead, she is (perhaps) insecure about her weight that is why she skips her meal. heck even sai the roaster toaster with awfullly bad social boundries doesnt comment on it, but guess what? the fandom and SP does infact SP made a fucking full filler episode which is just sakura wanting big boobs and the comparisons of boobs from various koinichi's ranging from Tsunade, to tenten and ino, to shizune!)

why is this "boob measuring" so unique to sakura(and hinata -ill perhaps make a post on this sometime) why is no other female charecter subjected to this gross misogyny weird boob measuring contest,despite sakura not being the only girl who is flat chested- Tenten , Mikoto Uchiha and Shizune? well for one none of them has outright any interactions on level with naruto , second they dont irk anyone is any way - mikoto is also reduced to the trad sub wife prototype(she is what you'd say harmless, unlike the boisterous sakura, she is soft spoken , tends for the males areound her and doesn't err stand out), tenten and shizune are not even present in the narrative often and when they are , their words wrt to naruto are "safe" - they dont insult the main character , dont reject him dont make him look inferior so their boobs and body are spared

- it happens around the.. 6th season, i think? so the team is Hotch, dave, Morgan, Prentiss, JJ and reid

- it will end up being Reidxreader kinda, tho my main focous is to create a plot line for an episode with a (y\n) charecter.

- lmk what you think - i try to make the charectes as in charecter i can :)

"it's a female, around the age of 24. she has an engagment ring on, and her heart missing, so we belive this is the same offender as the earlier crimes" the forensic team leader said, "she was strangled, real bad, i mean, she was dead for half the time she was strangled". Reid looked at Dave, they were both thinking the same thing. "that's the same overkill we saw on the other female victim" Dave finally said. "the dump site is different" (y\n) says. "yeah, so far it was allys, but this is a more public space - there is an ally about half a mile from here, but instead he chose to leave the body in the middle of the street" Reid says. (y\n) can't help but smile at the fact Reid agreed with them.

"he's getting bolder, or he could be trying to make a statment" Prentiss says. "won't he pose the body a certin way if he's making a statment?" officer Williams chimed in. "well, yes and no. putting the body out in the open could be a warning for cheaters. I mean, we relesed the profile, people know why he is targeting these specific victims" Derek says, looking around in hopes to notice a detail they missed. "once we have an identification on this vistim, we should have Garcia check if she was cheating" Prentiss says. "and monitor the fiances house for any packages" JJ adds.

"he did pose the body a certin way" (y\n) says. "huh?" JJ wonders, and her eyes follow the direction (y\n)s were set on, right across from the body. "the bakery across the street?" JJ said, "why would that be-" she wondered, but than she noticed the name on the bright pink sign. "rose's goods" JJ said. "that's one of the bakeries the wedding venues work with" Reid reminded everyone, tho you didn't need an eidetic memory to remember that."well, now we know for sure the unsub must be connected to the venues, but how?" Dave asked, putting everyones thoughts to words.

"okay, guys, our latest victim, Maya, was not cheating. i can not find anything remotly suspitius. the only man she was sending heart emojies to other than Roy, Her fiance, is her best friend David who is most definatly a friend of dorothys" Garcia says. "that's how gay men identified eachother in the 40, it is based on the charecter of Dorothy fro-" Reid starts one of his infamous info dumps, but Hotch cuts him off with a simple "yes Reid, we are aware of that". "okay" Reid mumbles, slightly disappointed he didn't get to finish, his eyes travel to the floor.

"well, if the unsub was'nt aware of the fact David is gay, he could have misinterpret their texts as flirting" Prentiss says. "it was pretty easy to see, i mean, he has photos of him and his boyfriend on social media" Garcia sighs. "that could mean he's devolving, the texts were enough to prove his.. delusion, he didn't care enough to dig deep like he did with the earlier victims" JJ says.

"guys, i just had a thought" (y\n) says, "i know we profiled a psycopath, and i am not saying we were wrong - but what if sending the hearts to the fiance is not meant to hurt them? what if in his delusion, he is giving the fiance what they deserved - the heart of their deceased partner?".

"that would make perfact sense - i mean, he took the term hertless as literal as it gets" Reid agrees with (y\n) once again and they couldn't be more proud. "if that's the case, he could be having a phsycotic break of some sort" JJ suggest. "and he is most definatly losing his grip on reality. we need to find him, and we need to do it soon" Hotch says.

"well, there are 26 males who got left by their cheating fiances, 3 of those were engaged to a man and 3 were over 30, so that leaves us with 20 potentional unsubs" Garcia says over the phone. "told you" Reid mumbles in his know-it-all tone, but no one takes it to heart. "does any of them have a connection to the wedding venue company?" Prentiss asks. "well, give me a minute… uhg… yes! Ron Sawyer works for a bakery connected to the venues, Eren Nicolas works for a security company that was hired by them a few times and Zayn Thompson is a florist who…" Garcia starts, and JJ finishes for her. "works at a flower shop that's connected to the venues" she says. "yeah" Garcia says, sighing. "were any of them at the venues at the days that the four victims visited there? i mean, we only lookes at the venues employees on our initial search" JJ sugests. "i'll get back to you on that in a few moments babes" Garcia smiles through the phone.

"the garden of eden venue… we still need to check. all venues had a breaching point, what if they also had a weak spot? our unsub may not be connected to the venues but sneak up there somehow, or get in through a false identety…" Prentiss says. "well, they refused to talk to us, they won't cocperate…" Derek sighs. "what if they didn't know they were talking to agents?" JJ sugestes, "i can go in with Reid, pretend we are a couple looking at venues". "if they saw us delivering the profile, they would know you are an agent…" Dave dismisses her idea, "we can't risk that, they could make a fuss". silence falls in the room until Hotch breaks it: "they never saw (y\n)".

all of the eyes in the room turn to (y\n). "no, no, i can't possibly do this, i- i am not quelified for this at all, and yeah, i took theater in high school, but i only played a small part-" they start to rumble, but dave laughs. "well, you know what they say, there are'nt any small parts, just small actors".

"i cannot belive that i am doing this" (y\n) sighs. "well, we will get through this. together" Reid smiles at them, offering them his hand. "fine" they sigh once again and take it. His skin is softer than they expected, not that they ever wonderd how his skin feels, because that is just weird, and holding his hand was… nice, really nice. more than they thought it would be. not that they thought about how that would be, you know, they only thought about it now, because of the assigment and not because they had a crush on the pretty wonder boy. no. most definetly no.

"are you okay?" Reid asks, stopping at the entrence. "yeah, i'm good, just, uh, nervous" (y\n) admits, not disclosing the reason they are nervous. it may have been a small part, but they nailed it. pretending to be Spencers fiance could be the straw that breaks the camels back, forcing them to admit to themselves what they've been ignoring ever since they joined the BAU. "well, you have nothing to be nervous about, i am sure you will love it here" An obnoxious voice the agents assumes belongs to the infamous DIane says. today she is wearing a bright green suit, her head up in a pony-tail so tight even Jojo Siwa would'nt wear it.

the three go in, and walk around. "this is the main entrence…" Diane starts, and she continues to talk but Reid and (y\n) are both not focosing on what she is saying. they look around, trying to look for an easy breach. they look at the people around, trying to see if theres anyone walking alone, looking at the venue. "-and now, would you like to see the yard? you got here just in time, we are holding a tasting in just a few minitues" Diane says.

"oh, my love, that sounds great" Spencer smiles, his hand leaving (y\n)s to place it on their waist. "it does" they smile back, resting their hand on his shoulder - he is much taller than them - to pull themselves up, and now that they have easy access they place a kiss on his left cheek, making the both of them blush. "oh, you two are just too cute" Diane smiles, but her eyes meet those of the man waving at her from behind the 'couple'. "excsue me" she smiles at them, "uh, Zayn!" she says, grabbing the forearm of an employee, "get them a glass of wine, won't you?". "yes maam" Zayn says, and dissaperas to get it, going in the opposit direction she is.

"i am sorry if i crossed the line by kissing you, i felt we need to sell it a bit more so she won't get suspicious" (y\n) says awkwardly. "oh, no, it was fine, even nice. a nice touch, i mean" Spencer says, almost letting the way he words the sentence reveal his true feeling about that small, innocent kiss.

"hey there choclate thounder" Garcia's voice sounds from the other side of the line. "hey there baby girl, got any updates for me?" Derek says. "you already know i do" Garcia's usual snark laced in her voice, "so, none of them were in the venues at all 4 days, but two of them were working on two of the days, they could have used their easy access to the premiss for the other two couples" Garcia says. "what are the venues they were at?" JJ asks. "well, Ron Sawyer was at the Crystall ballroom and the Garden of eden" Garcia says. "okay, and the other one?" Prentiss asks. "Zayn thompson, he was also at the crystal ballroom and at the whispearing willow" Garcia says.

"well, JJ and i checked The enchanted Castle venue, with the broken fence. if he was working for them he could have known that, he could have snuck in there and if he was caught just say he's there for work" Dace says. "when i talked with the whispearing willow after the last murder, they said their security is tight, that's impossible to get inside unless you are supposed to be there" Derek says. "well, that would make Zayn our more likely unsub, Garcia, what more do you have on him?" Hotch asks, and when Garcia come through with answears he sounds like the perfect fit.

"well, his parents got a divorce when he was 15, his dad cheated on his mom with the woman from next door who was also married at the time. he got suspended from school 4 tomes, all of those because of fist fights and other violent behavior. he's been a florist for about six months, but he is very, very good at his job, quick learner. before that he worked at cyber security, but he started performing horrible 8 months ago and got fired a month after. it appears that he was engaged to a Viola Gardner, but there aren't any photos of them together from later than… 8 months ago. their wedding was meant to take place at the Garden Of Eden venue and it did, i found photoes from the event on his friends socials… oh god" Garcia stops her word flow. "what is it?" Hotch asks. "Viola got engaged three weeks ago, to a Henry Lewis" Garcia says in shock.

"that must have been the trigger" JJ says. "and his Father chating with a married woman, sounds like a stressor to me" Derek says. "Garcia, where is he now?" Prentiss asks. "well, he is…" Garcia says, and the sound of her keyboard clicks is heard through the phone, "… at the Garden of eden venue, that's where.. that's where Spence and (y\n) are, right?".

"Prentiss, let them know the suspect is with them, they should locate him, tell them we are on our way" Hotch orders, and the team leaves the office.

My opinion on the whole "Birdetta" thing

Listen let me preface this by saying I'm a huge lifelong Mario fan, and I'm also a trans woman. I also really like Birdo as a charecter. Imo she's one of my favorite charecters in the entire series and I love her and Vivian for being one of the few trans reps in media as a kid.

That being said, my personal headcanon regarding Yoshis and Birdos are that they're the same species. Much like Hens and Roosters, they look extremely different and most people treat them as different species but they're the same species, just they have extreme differences in appearences. So I always thought Yoshis and Birdos were the same species, just Yoshis were the males of that race and Birdos were the females of that race.

I mean...correct me if I'm wrong but we haven't seen any explicitly Yoshis who are women, or Birdos who are men in the games. So it checks out right? And we haven't seen any Yoshis or Birdos named anything other than well...Yoshi and Birdo respectively. I always thought this was common place in the mushroom kingdom. There are some deviations to this rule though like Gonzalas Jr. From TTYD or any Toad who's name isn't Toad.

So I always thought the main Birdo in the Mario series...the one in Mario 2 and who's playeble in the spinoffs. Was originally named "Yoshi" and now is Birdo. With Birdetta being a possible nickname.

As for the Mario 2 manual it could possibly be a mistranslation...they mixed up Ostro and Birdo's names after all. Or it could be a case of early instalment weirdness with her name. There's so much weird stuff in earlier instruction manuals that don't appear in the games so it could possibly be non canon at this point.

Another thing I would like to point out- is that Birdo's description in the Mario 2 manual is clearly a transphobic joke. It is meant to mock trans people. Birdo has become a genuine good and genuine peice of trans representation since then of course. But it still irks me that people are treating a transphobic, poorly translated blurb in a game released so early in the series as canon gospel over the last 20+ years of her being playeble in Mario games, it's annoying.

And besides I...don't think that Birdo's friends and boyfriend Yoshi would dead name her regularly. Plus it's not a pleasent thought to think Mario and his friends would dead name birdo for 20+ years.

So yeah I just wanted to put this out here. You can headcanon whatever you want in a peice of media, if you headcanon Birdo as Birdetta you do you. But you don't have to spam any post that even remotely mentions Birdo and make people adopt your headcanon about her. Just as you don't have to adopt my headcanon about Yoshi's and Birdos being the same species.

Ok this is not about the characters is about the authors of the story.

Oda’s writing of the female characters is one of his flaws.

However I can’t stop thinking in the huge difference between his characters and the ones from another shonen of the time.

Like Sakura high moment was cutting her hair compared with Nami’s stabbing her arm as one of her moments.

Even if he doesn’t do as well, Oda managed to give good nuance to Nami since the beginning

I feel Oda settles when writting female chatecters. I think he could write a total badass female charecter if he wanted to but he doesnt need to and there are already so many badass (men) in screen.

And honestly there are super badass women too but then they get usually get too objectified (viola), humorized (lola) or their main trait is they want to fall in love or are in love (baby 5). What im trying to say is that i think Oda knows what it makes a powerful and complex female charecter but the gaze of the straight man can be too overpowering at times and some traits the charecters have can get lost in the storytelling

I still think he is an amazing storyteller tho

People complained that the Rings of Power was too woke I thought it wasn't woke enough like Amazon really overhyped its wokeness. They still have a flat female character as a main character that is solely defined by the men in her life, refusing to have characters look and dress in a way that falls out of our societal norms(Having elves have short hair, and dwarf women lacking beards), ableism(giving characters disabilities as a way to write them out of the story),refusal to discusse in universe xenophobia and sexism and removing all posible signs of queerness from charecters. As someones who has read the Silmarrilion I was diapointed because there are so many ways you can make LOTR "Woke" while still being good.

. Vampire comedy baby.

Comedy but actually correct?-

So this movie is genuinely just hilarious. It’s a pure comedy movie so there’s none of that real horror element in it(unless you really look deep into stuff I guess). Yet it actually manages to keep all the elements vampires/vampirism without ruining it with some weird rule or addition. Ok, well besides the female vampires need virgins blood 3 times before Halloween because that’s totally new and a very 80s story element. As a major fan of vampires and 80s comedy’s this is the PERFECT blend. Just

- Her vanity is pop though so Sebastian can help her with her makeup? Amazing, smart

- she drinks a Bloody Mary which I still think is way funnier then it is

- the “I’m a atheist! But FIRE—.” Line is pure art

Having fun with it without pure cheese.

No one dies!-

First vampire movie where no one dies and they don’t go all “holy crusader” at the end by wiping out all the vampires, which made me??? Extremely happy for two reasons

Vampires, as charecters and villains in these movies are usually made up to be really fun and compelling are killed off anyway(Jerry Dandridge , the lost boys etc)

Usually their just living their life, afterlife, chilling and doing what they kinda have to until mr (or Mrs) morals comes around the corner and chooses to kill em

Now don’t get me wrong, it’s understandable but just a bit annoying. especially as half the time I end up wanting our main character to join em (near dark)

So this was a refreshing and kinda hilarious spin as they basically say “well shit.” And leave. And that’s it.

I need more?-

Same problem with most vampire movies, I end up liking the vamps but not getting nearly enough? Like this woman is centuries old and has several young vamps in her care and a Sebastian (how do I describe this man besides saying : he is everything.) seriously I like the coffin room a little to much. I need a show or to start writing just fics because I’d love to know the hell goes on with these guys (as they’re mainly plot device it seams) also the guy with the bugs bunny stuffed animal is my life and soul,

Okay my problem with sylki isn't it's selfcest or they're the same person. It's literally fiction, loosen up Tumblr puritans if anyones gonna get down with themselves it's Loki. If it's not your thing, no shame, but there's nothing WRONG with it as, as I've mentioned , it's FICTION, has no bearing on who you ar as person what fictional ships you like, and has no real world consequences because it isn't even possible.

My problem isn't even the "he's bi why can't he be in a gay relationship" cause, yes, why CAN'T he, but he can also be in a "straight" relationship too. That's the point of being bi. Also at least Tom's Loki is gender fluid , Sylvie probably is too, so any realtionship between them is automatically queer cause they're both enby, and neither are a woman or a man .

(but YES it does feel disingenuous of marvel to take a charecter who has had no love interest for SIX MOVIES , and shown no romantic or sexual interest in anyone, reveal he's bisexual and THEN get him together with a woman in the next episode. Like, Loki's bi, and nothing marvel will do can ever take that away from me, but ....it does feel like having your cake and eating it too. We'd be very happy with no love interest too)

It isn't even that I don't like Sylvie herself. I DO. I LOVE her Loki, her version of Loki's life, the ways they're similar, the ways they're different. The way I think she kind of reminds Loki of Thor sometimes (angry blondes gonna hit something she shouldn't hit. Must stop before it gets worse!) (Cause that moment when she was about to kill he who remains , Loki's tactic to calm her down and reasons behind it were eerily similar to him stopping Thor from attacking the frost Giants in movie 1) I think that Sylvie is a rare occurance--a female charecter that is fully developed, has goals and wants of her own, and isn't just a love interest. I would very much like to see more of her.

My problem is. Loki. LOKI Loki. Tom's Loki, is our mail charecter. Main characters must go through charecter development. They must have a WANT and to contrast with it a NEED. they must pursue said WANT and at the end of the day , get not necessarily what they WANT but what they NEED.

So what does Loki WANT? Well in episode one we get a very clear want. Loki wants to destroy the TVA. He wants to figure out who's behind this and get rid of them. Right. Good. That's the plot.

Now we're looking at his internal arc. Mobius lays it out, again, in episode one. Loki is, BAD. He causes pain and suffering wherever he goes and hurts everyone he loves. He does bad things. And his role in this game of destiny is to be Bad, so other can be good. Loki realizes that about himself, and he hates it. He doesn't really want to be Bad. And he certainly doesn't want to be a pawn in others stories. So meld the internal arc, the NEED to the WANT and Loki wants to destroy the TVA so that he can get away from his destiny to hurt people and see what else he's capable of.

(this entire arc was also done a lot better in Ragnarok. )

Okay so. We jump around. Loki tricks people, Loki gains information. He meets Sylvie. Their goals align. Sylvie wants to destroy the TVA. Very well and good.

Now thematically, this is where the want and the need should start switching at the midpoint. The midpoint of the series s of course episode 3, when Loki realizes the TVA isn't all it seems to be and everyone is a varient.

And here's where it falls apart. There's that fun scene with Sif where she criticizes Loki for being a worm or whatever. I thought that was going to go somewhere but it didn't. But after that Loki's plotline fizzles out. He no longer really wants to destroy the TVA, Sylvie does. The show now becomes about HER goal to do that. And Loki's need sort of...disappears. instead of growing or learning something about himself, his need seems to be Love Sylvie. And that doesn't add up.

So either this is EXTREMELY lazy writing.

Or someone thought that the way to fulfuil all of Loki's emotional needs--whicj we've seen develop over, let me state this again SIX MOVIES-- were to give him a love interest. Not to mention they thought that was the culmination of his plot NEED. Loki WANTS To destroy the TVA but NEEDS to...fall in love?

There's an argument to be made for a very literal reading of he needs to accept himself, but not only is that not what's being set up here, it's fucking stupid because loving Sylvie who--while they're the same person technically--has had a completely different life, personality, choices, has nothing to do with accepting THIS Loki.

So then we do this main charecter switch. Loki now just follows along Sylvie's goal. He has no more need, and no more real want. Sylvie has a want, but no need either. And the one moment when Loki tries to talk her down, and says he can't risk the universe in exchange for power really falls flat because Loki is not seen to WANT To rule the universe through the tva. He's way past that.

So in an attempt to just tie up loose ends what he got, instead of self actualization, instead of charecter development, instead or ANYTHING, was a kiss.

Because in Hollywoodland, kisses solve everything. And that's where my aro ass jumps off the film school horse and onto the UGKGBVSJJBE keysmash horse. Because they really do believe that it is Good Writing to do that because Love Solves Everything .

And I'm pissy.

I like it so much better when a man gets jealous of another girl, than another man

This is specifically referring to how it is really common for male love interest to get really jealous when their partner or potential partner is around other men. I have read a few webcomics and anime's where the main girl will get touchy with a female friend and you just instantly see the guy get jealous.

So many times wlw relationships are fetishized for men, where they don't really take them seriously. Leading to men who don't care if their girl is involved with other girls but get extremely territorial about other men.

If a male charecter can view another female as romantic competition, that shows me he views woman and wlw as equals to men and straight relationships.

I found a really good comic on lezhin called secret alliance and I need to be able to comment like you can on webtoons. There so much I wanna say because its suchhhhhh a good story but i dont have the option to 😭

Have any of you guys read it? Because it's a super good comic about this girl who is scared of men. She has a lot of female and male admirers but noone is really able to get close to her because of her phobia. So this one dude (who is a yandere by the way and aperntly a childhood friend.) Decides to dress up as a girl so he can be close to her.

It also introduces a blond guy that's a player and a womanizer so naturally hes a asshole (well apears to be but is actually not that bad at all like marshall lee ^_^) that through a big set of circumstances is helping are main charecter get over her phobia of men but like actually trying to help her. Not what you'd first think after hearing hes a womanizer

There basically the two love interests for her and you kind of want to route for both. Even though one of them really is a terrible choice realistically. Ugh this author is sooooooo talented and I have no more chapters left to read intill more is put out. So I really want to talk to people about it.

Come Out And Play: Casting Call For Voice Actors!!!

Hello, and if ya don’t know me, my name is Ray! I wrote a short story one shot about Virgil and Roman titled “Come Out And Play” late December! @sanderssidesaudiobooks uploads audios of Sander Sides fan fiction. I thought, “hey, why not join in on the fun?” Here’s how you can help me... audition to read for the charecters in my fic! Here’s some information!

Virgil

Any gender voice Actor

Alto or in the lower/softer register

You need to be able to sing! The song that’s crucial for you to be able to sing is “King of the Clouds” by Panic At The Disco!

If you can play guitar that’s a bounus but it’s not required

Should be able to portray fiend confidence with a little bit of vunrebility. More of the listening type than the sharing.

Roman

Soprano (second soprano) or brighter Tenor

Any Gender Voice Actor

Also has to be able to sing. Not as important as Virgil’s singing abilities but still crucial! Come Out And Play is Romans main song.

Bright voice! Has to contradict and blend with Virgil’s voice

Roman is very metaphorical and emotionally compromised in this fic- so the actor has to convey the tiredness and self doubt here, while still maintaining Romans dramtic flair in some sections of the fic.

Romans Roomate

Bratty, Cruel, Impatient

Female actor preferred but I’m open to whatever

You don’t need to sing

Minimal lines in the begging of the fic, but you should have a bite to your words since your rant sticks with Roman through the entirety of the story and causes him pain

“It seems like your art is your way of expressing yourself. Isn’t that what really matters? Being yourself? Music is my escape. Singing something is acknowledging it’s real, but also acknowledging the wisdom and power that you gain when you overcome an obstacle. It’s also just… really nice ya know?
