the bastardization of the sims 4 cc tags here on simblr has gotten so bad that i'm using fucking google and pinterest now to find stuff or i'm crossing my fingers that the good stuff magically appears on my dash when i happen to be scrolling through. 97% of simblr uses cc, that's basically all of us.
it's more or less agreed upon that those tags (sims 4 cc, ts4 cc and so on) are predominantly for actual cc creators or cc finds blogs to use to make cc-hunting easier on tumblr. using those tags on gameplay/edits/cas posts is causing this to be a pain in the ass because the tags then get flooded with posts that don't really belong there.
please stop using cc tags when its absolutely not necessary. it won't help with engagement on your posts like personally it actually makes me want to like and reblog them less. as i said... almost all of us use cc. pls stop ty

My Super secret AU were Airplane and Cucumber Bro live in the same apartment building but don't figure that out until the entire building and it's tenants get transmigrated into Proud Immortal Demon Way post realms merging.
It's super secret because the stuff that's interesting to me is the apartment residents banding together to figure shit out. If I wrote this we'd probably be 20 chapters deep before any known PIDW characters showed up, and Demon Lord Luo Binghe isn't showing up until after the retired electrician grandpa and the engineering students (apartments were near a college so there's a bunch of students in the building) have figured out how to make their own solar panels.
(Also this is secretly about giving Mu Qingfang a happy ending because his canon PIDW situation is Real Sad- he shows up at the apartment and adopts the small gaggle of med students and starts a clinic.)
(Also he might start a lil cultivation school because a bunch of the residents got brand new shiny spiritual veins when they transmigrated and they have no idea what to do with them.)
Ok I gotta stop talking about this.

do you remember your father?? i mean, if you remember having one as a pup
"My other parent...?"
Tumblr media
"I don't remember them... him... at all. I'm sorry." She says as if apologizing to herself. "Mom would never talk about him, and I was too young to even understand you need a mate to have pups, or that slugcats form colonies."
Marbles is lost in her thoughts again. You keep asking questions, and it unearths some of her long forgotten memories.
"There was this one time... me, my sibling, and mom, we got to observe a big noodlefly nest. I saw their delicious eggs hanging from the ceiling for the first time. When I asked mom about it, she explained that when two noots pair up, they lay their eggs in safe places so they could hatch. Little baby noodles attach to the parent's tail for safety. «Like slugcats!», she said. So, of course my tiny child mind pressed on. «Do slugpups hatch from eggs? Can I lay an egg? Can I eat egg? Was I a good egg?». Mom put up with my nonsense, I think she found it funny... until my brilliant child brain connected the dots, and asked «if I'm an egg, then who did she make me with». She hesitated, and the brief silence mixed with the look on her face is what seared that moment into my mind. «...With your father, of course. But, he's gone. Let's go get something to eat now. You want a blue fruit? I think we can get some of them down the pipe over there...», Mom blurted out as she took my hand in hers. I followed with «Why?», but she pretended not to hear it. In the end, my mind was quickly distracted from asking any more awkward questions by the promise of a tasty meal. I can't remember any other time my second parent was brought up again..."

Big fan of whenever a creator from one of the other languages meets Bad for the first time and he tells them his name is BadBoyHalo and explains it to them
Then they fucking hit it off and later the creator explains to him that no, he is not a bad boy, he is a good boy, he is GoodBoyHalo

Has writing fanfiction helped you guys with your English?
Has writing fanfiction helped you guys with your English? (question to non-native English speakers).
I’m writing my MA thesis about the impact of writing fanfiction on English skills and proficiency, as well as on several individual differences.
Could you take some time to fill out my questionnaire? I would be forever grateful <3 It's a bit long, but I wanted to conduct a comprehensive study.

Sometimes I start spiraling thinking that my writing is horrible and that my characters are boring and completely out of character and just the worst thing ever. Then I remember it's just my silly little way of passing time and I did not study/got ready for this, plots and characters appeared in my mind one day and never left so I tried to put them into words of a language I learned mostly on my own (from fanfictions <3). And literally no one cares, the world is not going to explode if I make a character say something weird, yes, maybe someone will open my ao3 and think 'wow, that's awful' but so what?
I still have time to pass and my mind full of ideas

I love being multilingual. I love reading books so much. and I know most of langblr and bookblr is about academia or classics but my heart is in children's literature. I grew up with my own language and my own country's literature. I get to have my childhood favorite books in my language. and then as I grow up and learn others I get to enjoy other people's childhood favorite books. sometimes I've progressed enough in my language to enjoy those foreign books in their own original language and be filled with joy as I realize how this would have shaped a generation of people. I get to go "what is this word" and look up and have a spark of joy as I memorize a BIG word in a new language. I get to gasp at reveals and twists and turns and fairy tales and romances and horrors of all your children's literature because my language level is still progressing and every new word fills me with wonder. I get to have my childhood and I get to have other people's childhood through my childlike language abilities. I love it. I love reading books!

Tim I noticed a lot of indigenous patches on your jacket, are you Native?
Idk what my dad was 'cause I never knew him, but yeah my mom is (or... Was.. I guess..) Muscogee, the tribe native to the part of Alabama I'm in.
If I remember correctly she came to Alabama from Oklahoma (where a lot of Natives were displaced to in the 1800s) to "get back to her roots."
But yknow, I was separated from her in childhood (which tbh is upsettingly common for Native families) and I was raised in a very white very Catholic asylum so I'm not as connected to the culture as I'd like to be.
