This Full Moon is characterized by major themes of radical justice, humanity and change.

This full moon is conjunct(out of sign) Athena Rx in Scorpio. Immediately from this configuration we see dark realities regarding tax evasion, espionage, sexual scandal and even murder will be coming to light in a court or law on and around the full moon in a big way.

The energies of this lunation have an incredibly intense and volatile energy to them despite the moon being in buoyant and hopeful Sagittarius. With the aspects being made, the Moon carries with it the need to “know” and an investigative intuition that demands holy and righteous justice at the expense of corrupt institutions.

The Moon is tightly sextile Pluto, showing that a secret being exposed surrounding a powerful political figure will play in favor of the public, and we will also be able to navigate the dark sides of our subconscious and unconscious mind while integrating it into our conscious action and inciting transformation

2 degrees is a Taurus degree, associated with the planet venus giving these placements an energy of love, abundance, and beauty. 

the 2nd degree, is an indicator of success in your life, especially material success as it is the degree of taurus, but in general it refers to your idea of success, wealth, love.

2 degrees in Sagittarius and its ruler being in Taurus having a conjunction with Venus during the full moon puts quite the romantic poetic spin to things!

Full Moon Releasing Ritual

This is one of my favourite things to do during a full moon, and it’s low spoons! This simple ritual is an amazing way to connect with yourself and the energy of the universe. ✨ You don't even need to go outside until the last step, especially if the weather is bad! I would only recommend going outside for the burning of the releases. 🔮

All you need is:

A fire safe vessel (metal bucket or iron cauldron)

A lighter / matches

Some water (fire safety!)

Paper and pencil / pen.

A yoga mat and / or blanket for comfort

When dealing with fire please be outside in a wind protected area! Fire safety is serious, especially here in Western Australia with how dry it still is! 😢

Method:

Firstly I like to physically and spiritually clean, and set up my space. This helps me get into a calm and mindful headspace. 🌸

I like to cleanse the space with incense and with my singing bowl. There are many ways to cleanse a space! I will be making a post about that soon!

Next comes grounding and protecting yourself! This is such an important step and should never be missed before doing any rituals or spells! Now it is time to reflect on what it is you need to let go during this phase. A good way to get an understanding is to learn what Zodiac sign the moon is currently in.

After reflecting on what I would like to let go I will write a list on a piece of paper. As I want these intentions to be leaving me, I will fold the paper away from me! Focus on the intention of pushing this energy away from you. 🦋

While under the moon I like to burn my piece of paper with what I am releasing. I will watch it burn and tune in with the energy being released through this act.

If it is not too cold I like to moon bathe. Even if it is cloudy as it is fun to watch the clouds part for the moon in interesting ways. I like to give thanks to the universe and to the power that is at work. 🌕

This is only one of many ways that I celebrate the moon cycle. I do not do this every time as it can be hard to always be all in when you struggle with low spoons and chronic pain.

Sun in Gemini ♊️💨 Moon in Sagittarius ♐️🔥

The tone of the energies felt today are very similar to yesterday. There’s a lot of really nice, abundant energy floating around but also some major shifts from Taurus to Gemini, adding a little bit of clumsiness to the day to day. This shift is much more social and forward moving helping us release some holds to get things going. If you’re working with the full moon energy, think back to the end of November for things started under the Sagittarius new moon six months ago that may be wrapping up or needing some closure at this time.

The Moon is squaring Saturn in Pisces and that can bring on restricted or depressed feelings in relationships, making it difficult to connect. If you’re feeling like you need some alone time today for reflection, this is why.

The Moon will also trine Mars and the North Node in Aries making us more courageous and assertive. There’s a lot of self reflection that goes along with this energy. It can set the tone for how your current relationships will be experienced long term. New long term relationships are also possible.

Today is the “in-between” day of the major shifts occurring. We get another day of shifts tomorrow so use today to adjust. Gemini energy is very social. The more people you surround yourself with, the more chances for new opportunities!

Full Moon Spellwork 🌕

Spell for a brighter path for romance

What you need:

Jasmine incense

Candle

Perfume

Lovers tarot card

Pink marker

Small paper

What to do:

Cleanse your space with the incense

Place the tarot card in front of you

Light the candle

Write "love is mine" on the paper

Place it underneath the perfume bottle

State all affirmations set at the new moon

Tap the candle with wet fingers to stop the flame

Keep the paper under the perfume on your shelf

Every time you use the perfume, repeat "love is mine"

Spell for improving confidence and social skills

What you need:

Sage incense 

Candle

Gold jewellery

Strength tarot card

Orange marker

Small paper

What to do:

Cleanse your space with the incense

Place the tarot card in front of you

Light the candle

Hold your jewellery tightly

State all affirmations set at the new moon

Draw a star on the paper

Place the jewellery back in a jewellery box with the paper

Tap the candle with wet fingers to stop the flame

Wear the jewellery every time you need a confidence boost

Here’s the explanation for fellow baby witches

The Full Moon is a lunar phase associated with using your power and energy and sealing intentions that were set on the New Moon, and that we have been actively working towards during the Waxing Moon.

It is around this time that indications of my intentions should start to show (and let me tell you—they're showing. I have a date next week. I also haven't experienced my usual heart palpitations when I'm in a situation that usually gives me social anxiety. I'm still working on my communication skills though).

However, these intentions won't be fully manifested until the next time the Full Moon is in the same sign the New Moon was in when i set these intentions (which is generally around 6 months).

The Full Moon is strongest in the three days leading up to it or on the Full Moon exact. I performed these two spells on the exact date of the Full Moon at night.

You can view the affirmations I used in these spells here. For each spell I used whichever correspondences I had available to support my intentions. Jasmine can be used for love and attraction, Sage is a general cleanser to remove negative energy that may be hanging over me. I only had an unscented pillar candle, so that's what I went with. I wanted to use a physical object that could be a reminder of my affirmations, so I used my favourite perfume right now, and a necklace my closest friend gifted me. I used tarot cards that supported my intentions too, being The Lovers (for obvious reasons) and Strength for inner courage and bravery. I used colour correspondences with markers I had available, but I was originally going to use red and yellow. Finally, I used the phrase 'love is mine' as a short reminder of all of my affirmations, and a star because I literally could not think of a short appropriate phrase.

I've unfortunately packed away everything I tend to use for spell work since I'm moving houses next week, so for spellwork, I'm having to make do with what I've got, which is very little. Not even a single crystal. The only reason I have incense is because I didn't tape that box shut yet. But it's no issue, because with witchcraft you use what you have. I generally am a maximalist though so it was a little weird for me.
