I really don't get why Time is a mandatory aspect. You don't need it for frog breeding, you can just use appearifiers or whatever. You don't always need to scratch the session, so you don't need their land construct. And unless you're in a weird situation, you shouldn't need to change stuff to adhere to the alpha timeline- the POINT of the alpha timeline is that it's "the way that things go", right? The only way you'd ever need a Time player keep you on track is if you were already under a Time player's influence, right???

But I guess I must be wrong, because I hear the opposite so often...

You could *THEORETICALLY* get away with just using Sendificators and Appearifiers to replicate Time Travel, but it's a lot like using the oven to boil water. Not to mention, Time Players are still useful-bordering-on-mandatory. Time Travel is borderline worthless if you aren't a Time Player because it's heavily unintuitive, the Whispers are your only in-game tutorial, and I'm pretty sure that unless you are a current or Native Time Player, the game actively obfuscates your practical knowledge concerning how to use it. So even if you know what you're doing, SBURB might just cloud your mind and make you perform a basic paradox through easily avoidable accident. It's why I don't like thinking about Time that much.

Like, I'm pretty sure that what you said is true, in that there can only be a Doomed Timeline if someone fucks with Time in the first place. But it might not be a desirable Alpha Timeline. Like maybe one of your players blows up their microwave and dies, and they end up breaking the Server/Client Entry Loop which leads to half of the other players dying, which damns the Session to failure. If that's the Alpha Timeline, then nothing can be done about it/shikata ga nai. But does that necessarily need to be the Alpha Timeline? Because if a Time Player is active (or will be active in the future), then they could step out of nowhere and reveal that the microwave exploding actually created a Doomed Timeline, and thus they "put it back on track" by making sure that player removes their fork from their microwavable noodles before cooking them. From your perspective, a Time Player just stole your fork for no reason, but from their perspective, a Doomed Timeline happened, and they averted it. As opposed to them not doing that, because they didn't exist, and so this Doomed Timeline becomes the Alpha Timeline? Surely you understand what I'm getting at.

It should also be noted, every Land is "broken" in same way on purpose, so the Player has a quest they can go on, so they have a reason to play the game (outside of "this is your life now, do it or die"). So in the same way that the current universe's Genesis Frog is dying, necessitating that the Space Player breed a new one so a new universe can be created, it's not unreasonable to assume that the timeline is innately flawed, and so a Time Player is needed to fix it. To say nothing of the fact that Space and Time are fundamental forces in any universe, and the Genesis Frog requires the efforts of both to be done. So basically, Time is a mandatory Aspect, because the game is fundamentally constructed in such a way that they are mandatory. There is no other way, it cannot be helped/shikata ga nai.

Sephiroth: Talked Genesis into helping him sneak into Hojo's office to retrieve test results Sephiroth had been denied access to. Genesis agreed without hesitation, because he lives for drama. The plan fell apart immediately when Hojo walked in mid-search. Before Sephiroth could come up with a rational excuse, Genesis exclaimed "Oh no! He's having an episode!" And began listing symptoms Sephiroth was having while fanning him with a book.

Sephiroth spent the next eight hours undergoing tests, observations, and listening to Hojo's theories on "SOLDIER psychological thresholds." The following morning, Sephiroth showed up at Genesis' apartment with a crowbar.

Angeal: Convinced Genesis and Sephiroth to help him bring dirt up to his apartment for his new plants. For reasons no one could later explain, they used suitcases. And the stairwell. Three flights in, Sephiroth slipped, sending his suitcase tumbling down four flights and spilling dirt everywhere. Genesis laughed so hard he lost his grip. Dirt spilled everywhere as Angeal yelled and Genesis rolled. Security camera footage later revealed the three of them covered in dirt, furiously scooping it into bags with their hands. Maintenance filed a formal complaint.

Genesis: Convinced Sephiroth to play wingman for him with a cute barista at the mess hall. He gave Sephiroth a very specific script to follow, which Sephiroth immediately ignored. After a brief introduction, Sephiroth deadpanned "My friend over there finds you fertile and an optimal sexual partner" as he pointed to Genesis, who was in the process of sprinting out of the mess hall. Sephiroth remained, calmly ordering a coffee as though nothing had happened. They were both banned from the mess hall for a week and written up.

Zack: Convinced Cloud that calling a professional to fix the leaky sink in his apartment was unnecessary because "real men solve their own problems." They were armed with duct tape, a wrench, and MoogleTube tutorials. Ten minutes later, the pipe burst, sending water spraying across the kitchen. Zack's solution was to "tighten it harder," which caused the faucet to snap off entirely. Cloud, in his panic to shut off the water, slipped on the rapidly forming puddle and crashed into Zack, who managed to knock over a cabinet for good measure. By the time Angeal arrived to check in on why there was screaming and water coming from under the door, Zack and Cloud were on their knees in prayer before the leaking sink.

🍃The wind guides, the forest remembers (39,510 words, 8 chapters) - right after gaining his Vision in Inversion of Genesis, Wanderer goes for his first flight, ends up somewhere he didn't intend, and gets adopted by the Aranara for a while. Much-needed forest therapy ensues, as well as an unplanned tutorial on his new powers.

🌷Dream Flower (2,452 words) - coming to terms with the name the Traveler gave him, and the one that wasn't given as well.

🍵Warm Care, Bitter Truth (3,432 words) - It's a cold night up in the Divine Tree. Luckily there are ways to warm back up, inside and out.

⛅Enlightenment after the rain (2,663 words) - Haypasia returns to her meditation cave to pick up some supplies, but the cave already has an occupant. He seems impossibly familiar.

🌱It's Called Growth (1,786 words) - Nahida almost did something drastic when faced with the Dendro Dragon. Someone isn't taking it well.

🩹Papercut (1,413 words) - Nahida gets a papercut. Small and silly :P

🏅The Wishful Thinking of Idiots (56,724 words, 8 chapters) - The Akademiya Extravaganza, from Hat Guy's perspective. His (sharply opinionated) thoughts on the matter, what he was up to behind the scenes, and ways he interacted with the other contestants.

🎉The Return of the Sabzeruz Festival (12,641 words) - Happy birthday, Nahida. ❤ The Sumeran festival event we didn't get. (2023 edition, before it was cool.)

⛲A Cage of Your Own Making (84,189 words, 8 chapters) - ‘It is forbidden to release any flying objects during the first three days of each month.’ Nahida and the Wanderer visit... different parts of Fontaine.

🌊No adventures on the mountain (1,067 words) - I'm not salty about that giant empty mountain in Sumeru's north. But the ocean is.

🎂This sweetness isn’t so bad (5,631 words) - It's just another ordinary day for the Wanderer. Until people look up his birthday in the Akademiya records.

🐟Rainjade Ovation (ongoing, chapter 1/10) - After finishing his essay on Fontainian law, the Wanderer earns himself a little holiday, accompanying a certain star performer in search of inspiration in Chenyu Vale. A Hero's Journey ensues, because of course.

🐝Heirs of lightning, breakers of silence (3,077 words) - the Wanderer's first meetings with the leader of the Temple of Silence. Busy bees, flying lotuses. :P

🎭At the mercy of the mages (8,977 words, 2 chapters) - the Wanderer is summoned to the Imaginarium Theater. His disappointment is immeasurable and his day is ruined. Moreso in chapter 2.

🐉The Light Beyond the End (84,387 words, 7 chapters) - Summertide Scales and Tales, from Wanderer's perspective. Sometimes, becoming a Hero is about deciding to help just one person, even if the title feels like a mockery. <3

🌺Chromatic Ode of Annoyance (ongoing, chapter 5/6) - it's Sabzeruz again. A certain introverted Wanderer is dragged into things even though he wanted to keep a bit more distance this time - and all his floating friends are included.

🎁Pleasant surprises, lighting the way (9,450 words) - Wanderer celebrates his birthday by means of card games, preemptive socializing, and a fairytale surprise party.

⛵As Though Waking from a Dream (2,143 words) - a Sumeran ship sets sail for Inazuma bearing a package. The Wanderer ponders a few things back on the shore.

So, funny sort of good news, bad news thing about Armored Hunter Gunhound EX. Well, a couple little thoughts and things I want to mention regarding how much... uh, "fun" I'm having with the game.

The bad parts so far are not insignificant. First off, the game is delisted, so you can't buy it even if you want it. I already owned it so I could download and play it, but if you want to try it yourself, you need to look somewhere other than Steam. Second, I cannot seem to wrap my head around these controls very well at all. It's a PSP indie/doujin game, so it's designed for a D-pad and 8 buttons total. This works, but it's janky and I'm not handling it well at all. Third, new equipment is unlocked by getting lots of total points, and you lose all your points on continuing from a checkpoint, so that means default weapons would be something I'd basically be stuck with (except the Shield that's unlocked by beating the tutorial) if it weren't for some of the good news.

The good bits each counter one of the previously mentioned bad bits. First, while the game is delisted, it has also been released as open source, and its main inspiration, Assualt Suits Leynos, is available in an HD remaster on Steam or in its original release on the Switch Online Genesis games (localized as Target Earth). Second, the game seems pretty short, so I'll power through it regardless of my issues since I'm pretty sure that I won't hit a completely insurmountable brick wall to just finishing. It won't be a high skill playthrough but it will get done. Lastly, I found a glitch that lets me very easily (but somewhat slowly) get free points to add to the total score and unlock all the weapons. Funny enough, this also means that if I take the time to do exactly that, I'll have all the achievement for this game as well since they are tied to the score total and completing the tutorial. Very strange choice.

So far, my basic thoughts are that I love the aesthetic, really hate how rough the controls feel, and am kinda indifferent toward most of the rest of the game. All well, they can't all be winners. Maybe I'll have a better opinion when the campaign is all finished up.

please please please tell me how you style genesis’ hair. please i need, you have my gender i want it please

Uhhhhhhh umm so first things first just so we're on the same page!

I got a lacefront wig, the lace got cut to match my hairline more, and I also believe I cut/plucked some hairs from it. (It was months ago, so I'm not sure, sorry!)

The current iteration- so the one from stage pictures, has quite a few layers, I believe every two rows of wefts I made them shorter. And then the ends are just slightly curled upwards with a curling iron.

The front piece/bangs were also forced to stand up with a curling iron and some hairspray.

I wish I could give you a tutorial or sth but honestly I did it with as little effort as I could, I don't like styling wigs and wanted to get it over with asap :")

i need to WRITE WRITE WRITE. every essay i write now sounds like garbage to me. same with music tbh i havent played a full song in over two years now and its honestly kind of sad but i have no motivation. it feels like my fingers dont work like they did before and im too easy to give up on things bc i literally made it through the first time so it should be easier the second time but im lowkey really busy (100% procrastinating on calc) but im like whatever i need to get it all out of my head. im really shocked people read the last brainrot post like wow people are really seeing whats going on in here.

anyways ive been listening to the cc(r) ost while studying (around up to right before nibelheim because i want to make a flower wagon for my beautiful queen Aerith (i dont get the hate? madame M calling her homely like WHO's homley? wait lmfaoo off topic but why was cloud whimpering and moaning during the scene i had to take my headphones off cause i couldnt take it anymore...)) i should start a medium account and write like those pretentious tech bros that say things like "college is for LOSERS!" (ur going to a top school for cs?) (i didn't really like that guy cause he was lowkey weird too) but i think it'd be really funny. lowkey i forgot where i was going with this because the parenthesis reminded me of the chain rule which reminded me of that guy but anyways back to the main point...

I usually listen to game osts when studying (lie im listening to deftones right now) but the track "True Motives" (ill link it somewhere here) when genesis and angeal beat up sephiroth lowkey got me thinking during calc practice... like theres three instruments (piano cello violin) and its got a call and response format but its like all three are doing that (i told you i havent touched anything music related in a long while LOL sorry if the terminology is wrong). in the cutscene we start out with sephiroth with the violin and then like half a second later we get the piano take the upper with the cello playing the secondary melody? but the violin immediately kicks in... TBH i wonder then since im assuming sephiroth is the in between since hes "still around"—i dunno what happened to angeal—im at the point where ive killed the angeal creature but zach mentions him being possibly around and im assuming genesis is a total goner cause hes not around for anything else afaik (or he might im not that well versed in ffvii canon) and angeal reminded me a little too much of sonon so im gonna assume hes dead. as we know violin = treble cello = bass piano = both so i guess genesis = violin and angeal = cello just cause they seem like that to me. right when sephiroth pushes angeal back and genesis is about to go crazy the piano and violin lowkey come in and cello is just playing the bass notes for tha chords and the last half is lowkey just piano and violin plus a little cello right before angeal tries to stop genesis and gets thrown off into the junon sea or whatever u call it (i lost the submarine mini game in vii and i had to look up help and every tutorial was like " youre a total IDIOT if you failed this..."). maybe this is a whole lot of nothing and im just mkaing things up.
