After you finish serving the last of the food, you don’t get to see Sanji again for twenty minutes as he helped the local chef clean up. As you waited for your boyfriend to join you for the night, you got yourself a drink, finally allowing yourself to unwind.

“I’m here!” You hear a familiar voice call out, and you smile as you turn to see Sanji jogging up to you, “I’m here, my sweet!”

“Never doubted you,” You chuckled, giving him a kiss when he finally made it to you.

“And as an apology for making you wait,” Sanji beamed a cheeky smirk at you as he held out a plate. You looked down and saw a delicious-looking dessert with what looked like freshly whipped cream, making your eyes widen.

“Did you seriously make all of this? Is that a short amount of time?” You ask, taking the plate from him.

“What, you doubt my skills?”

“Of course not.” You roll your eyes with a smile and take a bite of the dessert.

Instantly your eyes close and an involuntary moan escape’s your lips at the sweet taste. Sanji’s cooking is always flawless, but his baking is almost just as good.

“Gods this is amazing,” You mumble, looking up at your boyfriend to see him staring at you with wide eyes and red cheeks.

“Have another bite.” Sanji quickly cut you off, almost demanding, as he nodded his head towards your dessert.

You narrowed your eyes and slowly took another bite. This time when you bit into your treat, a smear of whipped cream got on your cheek.

You sighed, ready to ask your boyfriend to grab you a napkin, when he reached up, cupped your chin, and pressed his thumb against your skin. Slowly, Sanji began to smear the cream along your lips before sliding his thumb between them, forcing the whipped cream inside.

Eyes widening, your grip on the dessert plate tightened as you stood there shocked. You instinctually began to suck on the digit in your mouth, feeling heat pool between your legs as you watched Sanji’s eyes stay fixated on your lips wrapped around his thumb, almost like he was in a trance.

His were slightly chapped and he tasted after meat but you loved him for this. The kiss was short and when you pulled away to open your eyes, you already saw his black owl eyes looking at you. "Lu" "That was so short! You know I love your kisses! Give me more", he cupped your cheeks and got you back while kissing you fully. A blush came over your cheeks before your eyes closed and you could feel him smile.

"And? The game?" "Best one", he whispered against your lips before diving back into your lips

In your reverse Strawhats AU, do you plan on writing each characters relationships and dinamics? You mentioned that Kaya will be Dr. Hirulik's apprentice, and of course Ace and Kuina's captain-firstmate relationship will be important. And I guess Kuina and Rejiu will be frienemy rivals like Zoro and Sanji

I’m so glad you asked.

And oh boy did this get away from me. I’m focusing on Ace’s relationship with the with the East Blue crew and will make separate post for everyone else because woo I wrote a lot.

Ace and Kuina

definitely have a captain-first-mate relationship. They both like to pretend they are well respecting and composed people. Ace learned manners and Kuina was raised to be an honorable swordswoman.

However leave the two of them alone together and they devolve into gremlins. (Ace did try to murder Whitebeard on multiple occasions, he’s feral. Kuina was a 100% down with stealing real swords to fight with Zoro as children)

When they first meet Ace hears about the Demon pirate hunter and goes to see who it is. When he sees Kuina tied to the cross, her interaction with the little girl, he knows she’s a good person and a part of him wants her on his crew. But he struggles with letting people in, but he’s learned from Luffy so maybe he’ll ask her.

The two of them talk and he asks her why she’s tied to a cross and what her dream is. “To become the world’s greatest swordsman.” She says with her head raised and her voice defiant. Waiting for the rebut or the laughter. Ace just tilts his head and responds with, “well that’s going to be hard.” “Why! Because I’m a girl!” “No because you’re tied to a pole! Stupid!” And the comment is so genuine and stupid that it snaps Kuina to. It’s the first time since Zoro that her dream hasn’t been out right mocked.

Ace goes and retrieves Wado Ichimonji for her and after they defeat Axe hand Morgan. The two are set to leave the village when Ace finally ask. “Hey if you’re going to be the world greatest swordsman you should join my crew. After all i’m going to surpass the strongest man in the world and become an emperor of the sea. I’m going to need someone as strong as you.” And he’s ready for rejection but Kuina just smiles and agrees because ya this boy is crazy but so was Zoro. And it will be nice to have that manic energy in her corner again.

Kuina can calm Ace and point him back on the right path (or at least direct his firey temper in a constructive direction) when he starts to get a little two riled up. And Ace knows how to get Kuina to take a break from her constant training. The balance each other really well. With Ace keeping a more laid back fun aditude with the crew and Kuina being in the calm but serious energy need to be the right hand of a knucklehead.

But again send them off on their own and there is one to no brain cell between them.

Ace and Nojiko

They had a ruff start. Nojiko’s instant hate of all pirates and Ace’s belief that everyone wants him dead because of his connection to his father, doesn’t really lead to a great start. Nojiko is venting her anger at Arlong and Ace is internalizing it all as anger towards him specifically.

But Nojiko sees Ace and Kuina are different. They obviously care about one another and the other persons goals. They help the villagers, they are just good people. So when they go to leave orange island it s Kuina who asks if Nojiko knows how to get to the next island. (They need a navigator and she can’t tell if it’s pride or hurt but Ace isn’t asking a second time) Nojiko agrees to lead them to the next island and they have a ruff agreement.

Over the next couple of days she sees more of the other two interacting and hears Ace mention Luffy which leads to a “my younger sibling is better then yours debate.” Between the two. And it’s the first conversation the two have when Nojiko’s prejudice and Aces Trauma don’t get in the way.

When they make it to syrup and Nojiko sees how Ace interacts with Kaya she’s sold on this crew and this idiot captain being different, and in another world they could be her’s but not with Arlong in the picture.

After Arlong park is when Bojiko officially joins the crew. I can see her and Ace sitting at Nami’s grave. Nojiko telling him about everything that has happened, her hatred of pirates, her new desire to live her life and see the world and maybe complete Nami’s dream. And then she turns to look at him and apologizes because she knows some of the things she said about pirates hurt him (she doesn’t know why, but she knows it did) and that he and the others aren’t like Arlong and they never will be and that if he will have her, she would love to join his crew.

They sit there in silence for a moment. Nojiko’s request hanging in the air and she’s looking at him but he’s looking at the ground. And in such a quiet voice he asked her. “Do you want me to live?” And Nojiko is horrified by the question because she was mean but did he really take it as her wanting him to just drop dead. She responds without hesitation “of course I want you to live you stupid idiot!” Before she can say anything else he hugs and when he pulls back he’s all smiles like he didn’t just ask her if he should die and welcomes her to the crew.

The two have a great relationship after that. Nojiko tries to keep the crew serious when they need to be but she’s also 17 and it’s the first time in her life she can relax so she defiantly gets swept up in any games that Ace and Kaya are playing. She would do anything for her crew and though she is a weaker member she does start training with Ace, Kuina, and Reiju because she wants to be strong enough to protect her friends, and she also doesn’t want Kaya to feel like she’s the only weak link.

Ace and Kaya.

When they first meet Kaya is a weak rich girl and Ace is ready to write her off like all the rich people he’s met before. But she’s so kind. She’s soft spoken and shy but so kind.

I think they would met at the ship yard. Ace wants a real ship. Kuina agrees that the dingy is too small and though Nojiko hasn’t officially joined she can agree that the two boats is not the best way to travel. (Much closer to Usopp’s opla introduction then his anime introduction)

The meet Kaya at the ship yard while she’s walking the yard with Merry and Kuro. She hears them talking about needing a ship. As she listens to them she realizes they are pirates. Yet they don’t seem scary. Instead they seem funny, and they obviously care for one another. They remind her of Usopp’s stories.

Kuina’s the one who catches her ease dropping on them. She invites them into her home to talk about purchasing a ship.

At first Ace isn’t a fan. She’s a rich girl who’s talking to them because they are entertaining her right now. What happens when they stop being a thing of fascination? He’s got Sabo’s commentary of the celestial dragons in his ear. He does trust new people easy and rich people are not on his list of potential favorites. But Nojiko thinks she can con them out a ship and it is free food.

Throughout the night they get to know Kaya better. She tells them about her parents who just died at sea and how lonely it’s been without them. If it wasn’t for Usopp and Kuro she would be all alone. And Ace is starting to feel for this young girl who is so much like his little brother. She’s not loud or confident or sunshine incarnate, but the way she talks about loneliness and the way she looks at the people she loves is so close to Luffy that he can’t help but be endeared to her.

And then Kuina recognizes Kuro and everything goes to shiz so fast. By the end Kaya is left shaken. The man her family trusted is a pirate who set out to kill them. She can’t stand to be in the house any more. Her parents are gone and their memories are tarnished by Kuro. But where does she go? What does she do now? She has enough money she could start new but where? With who? And she’s crying about this in front of Ace who listening to her talk about how there’s no one else. (There is Merry and Usopp but Usopp is to young to take care of her and Merry was hurt because of her) and he’s getting so many flash backs to Luffy that he just kinda blurts it out. “You can come with us.”

And now she’s stopped crying (thank god) but she’s looking at him with these big eyes. Because she’s not strong. She’s never been to sea. There are so many reason why she would be a bad fit for their crew. And Ace knows all of this but he asks one question. “Are you glad I’m here?” To which she responds with yes, she’s so glad he was here, he just saved her. “Do you want to stay with us?” It’s an offer it’s her choice. And this is hard for Ace. It’s hard to let people in, it will be even harder if she says no. But he tells her to think about it.

The next morning Kaya rolls up with a new boat. Some money for them, and her father’s old weapon (tbd pole here) and says she’s joining them.

From there on out Kaya is basically Ace’s little sister. She’s the little sister of the whole crew but I’ll talk about the others later. But Kaya is definitely the crews princess. She is their youngest and while she still has to carry her weight and she works very hard to build up her strength, the whole crew is weak to her. Ace is so excited to introduce her to Luffy and have both his little siblings being a terror on board.

Kaya finds out Ace was learning manners before he set sail and offered to teach him how to behave in a high class environment. In return Ace helps her loosen up. She’s been a rich girl all her life while Ace grew up in the jungle. He definitely showed her how to love it up in the wild (when they get to Skypia Kaya is so excited to swing from the vines and make the Tarzan cry just like Ace showed her)

Ace and Reiju

Reiju and Ace are different. In this AU Reiju is the oldest of the group at 19 to everyone else 17 and Kaya’s 14. So until Hirikul joins she’s the eldest. She’s used to being an eldest sister but Germa was so different than the rest of the world.

She’s spent so long separating herself from Germa 66. The Baratie was great. Zeff was everything she could have wished for in a dad. And being around all the cooks is so different the training at Germa. The only person she is remembering is Sanji and she doesn’t mind that.

(Side note I have three ideas for what happens to Sanji in this au one is wholesome and the other two are absolutely not. But I’m still figuring it out)

Her new crew being mostly women helps her remember she’s not at Germa. Even if her and Kuina butt heads.

But Ace. Every now and then she will see him in the corner of her eye and for a second she will think Sanji is with her. And it’s not just Sanji she sees in him. When he is being kind and protective she gets flashes of what Sanji could have been.

When he is fighting an enemy and he becomes cold and calculating boarderline cruel. She sees Ichiji.

She see Niji in him when he is angry. So mad he could just about spit fire.

It very rare for her to see Yonji in him but there are times when she sees just how far Ace is willing to go for the crew

But these are just heart stoping glimmers of her brothers. Then she remebers the fundamental difference. Anytime Ace behaves this way it is because someone has treated the crew. He is defending the people he loves. Ace is not cruel for the sake of it. In fact he’s one of the kindest men she knows (he’d be first place if not for Sanji and Zeff) any passing glimpses of her brothers is not who Ace is. Ace would never hurt them. He’d never let other hurt them. And this time she would keep her younger brother safe.

I think Reiju would have a problem other men. Her father and her brothers are monsters. And while Zeff and the cooks at the Baratie have shown her there are good men out there, they are the exception not the rule. It took a while for her to warm up to Ace when they met. But he won her over, his kindness to those around him and his willingness to protect Baratie definitely help. But there are still walls up and it will take time for her to fully trust him.

Which is fair because he has just as many walls. They care for each other and she willingly follows him but I don’t think she starts to trust him until after Arlong park. I don’t think she realizes she trusts him until she almost losses him in lougetown.

There relationship becomes very sweet. As they both start to heal a part of each other. Ace doesn’t understand why Reiju is so uncomfortable around strange men but he’s not going to allow anyone to hurt her. And she recognizes this and trust Ace’s intuition on which people they can trust and who they can’t.

But She can also see that Ace has his own issues. The whole crew can tell he has issues but again she sees Sanji in him. The heartbreaking desire to just have somewhere to belong. And somewhere along the path, probable in Drum kingdom after he hauls her and Nojiko up 5 miles of sheer cliff face, she sits down besides him. It’s just the two of them sitting in silence for a bit. And then with out looking at him she says “I’m glad you were born.” And she doesn’t know if that’s the right thing to say, if she’s reading too much into this. But it feels right.

And Ace just starts silently crying and leans into her as she wraps her arm around him and they sit there for a while content to just be captain and cook and not the son of the devil and the daughter of a monster.

Once Ace’s family history comes out she sits him down in the kitchen and kicks everyone else out and tells him about her family. How she understands the belief that you have devils blood in your veins and maybe the world would be better off with out you. But her world is better with him in it. And they get each other.

I’m going to cut myself off here. I’ll do Ace’s relationship with the grandline members of the crew in another post and maybe make a separate post for Kuina’s relationship with the crew, then Reiju’s and so on and so forth

Alright so after some thinking about it the end of wano was... just bad. Just really bad. Let’s not talk about some of the rushed fights in the raid or how certain deaths were shit, the ending as in after the raid and peace has reigned was just GARBAGE. The ending wrap up chapters in the first place were just... way too short. We got 5 chapters. FIVE. An arc that spanned 4 years and a month gave us 5 chapters to conclude loose ends. For context Post Enis Lobby was 11 chapters, The Post War arc was 17. And a part of those FIVE chapters was literally Shanks showing up for a movie tie in (Yes Oda admited that). There was absolutely no sense of relaxation and chill after such a chaotic time, it was just go go go! We gotta wrap up!! Like how many loose ends are left now? The smile victims? Couldn’t we have the three doctors on the island look into that? Or at least Chopper? Just gonna sweep that under the rug? What about the beast pirate remnants? Sure Greenbull attacked SOME but are they still on Wano? Did he kill ALL of them?? Are they prisoners? Is Yamato keeping them in line? We’re just never gonna talk about the once largest pirate crew in the world ever again? Okay... What about Marco? Surely he wasn’t just there to literally drop off Cat Viper and stall for time right? Oh he was? He didn’t even talk to the Straw Hats after the raid? Cool cool, glad he served such an important role... Now don’t get me wrong, there was some hype stuff like the road poneglyph and underwater old Wano and Pluton being there but like... That’s all? That’s all we get from the biggest arc to date? Think about all the revelations in the old post-major arc cooldown chapters, all the hype all the EVERYTHING that Wano just doesn’t have...  Oh but Kid mentioned a vague person who could help him with the poneglyph etchings... Cool... That’s definitely up there with the reveal of Garp. Now all this isn’t even to mention the absolute CHARACTER ARC ASSASSINATIONS Carrot and Yamato got. Carrot was basically an unnamed background character this whole arc. What did she do? She was there I guess. She lost to Perospero... Great. And what does she get at the end? “Oh you’re the new leader of Zou now... It’s because of Pedro’s will” NO IT FUCKING ISN’T!!! For one that is NOT what Pedro wanted at all! You can’t just say it’s Pedro’s will and have that justify anything! Carrot didn’t even WANT the leadership role, she argued against it! She’s not qualified to lead, she’s not the strongest, she is all wrong for the role! Hell, it’s almost like she’s being PUNISHED for chasing her dreams with the Straw Hats! Like shes being told to sit down and not bother. Just stay at home where it’s safe little bunny. Garbage... And Yamato? The person who the ENTIRE TIME he’s been on screen has told us “I wanna go out to sea!” just... says on Wano now. Literally a chapter before he decided to explore Wano he was talking about leaving but nope! Fooled you! What the HELL. And this isn’t the Yamato fanboy in me either, his ENTIRE ARC was about LEAVING. He couldn’t with Ace, he was chained and his freedom stolen, and now he finally gets his chance after 20 YEARS and “Nope. I gotta do what Oden did and explore Wano first.” Bitch WHAT??? The why were you talking about joining the crew so much? Why did you demand it of Luffy and say it in front of the crew? What CHANGED Yamato??? This is another character just feeling like he was shoved away and punished. And you know what? Oda could have made it work!! If he wasn’t rushing at LIGHTNING SPEED to end Wano we could have had time with Yamato figuring out he needed to stay. He could have seen a small bit of Wano, saw all the different regions, saw their varying climates, discovered he knew FAR LESS about Wano than he thought! He could have organically come to the conclusion he wasn’t ready to leave yet! There was so much to explore RIGHT HERE! That would still have been a bit of a slap in the face, but it would have been more natural than just randomly changing his mind. I don’t know what this was. Normally Oda doesn’t feel the need to rush like this, he takes his time to tell a story properly no matter how long it takes. He is not concerned with time, but in Wano’s case it was different. I don’t know if it was Film Red that did it, editorial interference (don’t quote me on this but I think he got new editors during Wano), or just plain burnout but this was just so subpar for Oda... It really leaves a bad taste in my mouth for Wano, a damn shame.

One Piece chapter 1108 review

Ooh, this is actually heating up right when I was expecting Egghead to start winding down and continue cutting off sources of tension. There was a point a year and a bit ago where the question might have been asked, 'why this arc, on this island?' If Oda is rushing to the finale, what does Egghead offer that Elbaf doesn't, and what will it add to contribute to the macro-level plot? Up til now, aside from wrapping up stories for supporting cast members like Bonney and Kuma, it seemed that maybe the main thing here was getting the scientists in the party and setting up more Void Century teases to develop more later. Well I think now we're getting the big thing that made Egghead unskippable.

But first we've got a Jump cover here, the latest in a long line of 'Luffy is about to punch you' covers, now in Gear Five form, and a very relaxed colour spread. Sure, why not give Uta another appearance in the manga. But what's that going on between Reiju and Tashigi? But my favourite thing here is the dapper canines in the portraits in the background. Cute stuff.

Caribou's scene feels like more of a recap than anything. I'm actually surprised to see him and the Blackbeard Pirates again so soon, I would have been satisfied if their time on Egghead wrapped up with the last chapter. Of course, there's no chance they choose not to take him with them, even if Oda leaves it ambiguous.

Now, I'm not a firearms guy. I don't live in one of those countries where you see them regularly. But is it just me or is Augur's form with the rifle really bad here, with the stock all the way out the back. You're meant to use that thing to brance for the recoil, right? So if he pulls the trigger this weird way he's holding it, the whole thing just slips between his arms and goes flying backwards, wouldn't it? I'll accept corrections for anyone who does know guns on this point.

I love getting names for all the vice admirals here. It's the details. Guillotine is still my favourite design of the batch.

The talk about taking back control of the Pacifistas by eliminating Bonney feels odd though. Is that how it works? So a person of equal rank in the hierarchy can't override orders, but the death of the current top dog will let someone lower down cancel their standing orders? Pacifista control is a mess, and for all the ways Egghead has been a breath of fresh air post-Wano, it's complicated contrivances like this that drag it down in the end-of-arc retrospective.

The giants' meetup with Franky's group has some interesting points. First: they don't recognise Franky because his bounty picutre was changed to the Sunny's figurehead. But that's still weird. It can't have been done just to set up this half-second misunderstanding. Franky's ready to square up, making the at this point safe assumption they've come as enemies, which is great from him. We learn that Usopp's been talking about his time with the giants to the crew since Franky joined. You have to assume that kind of offscreen bonding is happening, but it's always nice getting the little confirmations of it.

Glad to see one of the weaponised sea beasts survived. And Bluegrass and Doll manage to look very cool riding it back to Egghead. I wonder if Doll's connection to Saul is setting up a bigger arc or moment for her, or if it's just an excuse to remind casual readers of his name.

Saturn is truly terrifying in his new form. That's fantastic design. Even before Sanji points it out, you can see something is wrong with his eyes. That is one intense stare. And the fact that he doesn't speak once in the whole chapter makes him feel all the more inhuman. What is this man now, if he's still a man at all?

But where did Borsalino go after the last chapter's standoff. Has there been a little offscreen clash with Luffy and Sanji he's just retreated from? Was he forced to get out of the way as demon Saturn stampeded in? I'd rather have seen either of those things than releared what Caribou knows at the start of the chapter. It's not a hard one to explain, but it still feels like a continuity glitch, which is frustrating. It came up during the 'who fed Luffy' discussions in the past week that Luffy's position changes before and after the flashback, last seen in Franky's hands going in, then lying a decent way away from the group with no apparent action taken by him or Franky after. If there was one thing you could absolutely say in the Onigashima battle's favour, it's that it was intricately and carefully mapped. We had the layout of the whole castle and knew where everyone was inside it. No one teleported from one side to another in a single page, they got at least a little bit of offscreen time to travel before popping up somewhere new. The attention to detail was a highlight there, which makes it all the more disappointing that this battle's staging misses beats like this.

I can't help feeling really bad for Vegapunk as he lays dying here. Not because I'm super personally invested in him, but just because it feels so wrong for the character design. He's so goofy and cartoony with the apple head and forever-lolling tongue that he feels like he should be incompatible with blood. This guy should be giving me the tutorial of an edutainment game, not having his guts blasted out. Like a child, or a housepet, the apparent innocence makes it feel even crueller to attack him. (Apparent innocence only, we all know his morality is questionable at best given the horrors he enabled for the World Government.)

Borsalino getting to finish the job is a shock, and yeah, the monitor at the end does make me think the job is finished. Rough, and unexpected. I was better on Kuma's death and Vegapunk's rescue, but it looks like I got it the wrong way around. Luffy's giant transformation is an awesome panel, with just the intensity you want for a moment like this. No notes. I also love the smaller panel of the page showing him from ground level, towering over the buildings. Would love a bigger and more detailed form of that next week please.

And then the stinger. Vegapunk seems to have set up a dead man switch with some big secrets. This is great. Perfect thing for the smartest man in the world to do, especially considering how long he'd been expecting an attempt on his life was coming. And it has the potential to be huge for the world. A turning point. Potentially the start of a war or several. I don't think we're getting the full Void Century here, of course, but it's hard to imagine it playing out without at least one major reveal. And how will the Government respond? With the Buster Call running too slow, will Imu turn the Mother Flame on Egghead, triggering an escape sequence (and maybe cutting the exposition dump short because this is One Piece). The potential for this is huge. Huge.

I'm always happy to be getting three chapters in a row, but I'm so glad this one didn't line up with a break. See you all next week when the bombs drop.

Monkey D. Luffy

↳ We kind of know already because of what happened to Sanji lol. But when it’s his s/o? It’s a new level of personal for him

↳ The way he would TEAR across the ocean for you. With Sanji, Luffy could be reasonably patient because he knew when the wedding was & that they’d make it in time. But in this case, there’s just a restlessness to him that he can’t shake. He wants you back, now. He wants you in his arms, now. He wants to see you safe and he wants to make things right– and he wants that now.

↳ But still, him wanting it obviously doesn't make it true. (Or not immediately anyway, lol.) So while they’re traveling to you, he's just weirdly solemn and stony... Sitting on the lion head and staring hard at the open ocean type of vibe. And sure, he does that often, but this tension isn't usually accompanying it. And needless to say, no one likes seeing him upset.

↳ The rest of the Strawhats probably end up taking turns trying to distract him. It works for a little bit at a time, too. He'll listen to Brook's music or go fishing with Usopp or enjoy the treats Sanji offers him. He'll enjoy himself and he'll enjoy being with his friends... Until he looks for you to join in on the fun, and then he remembers that you're gone.

↳ He doesn't like brooding, though. It's so upsetting and angering that you were taken, but he tries to channel it into action. He just can't wait to get at the crew that kidnapped you. He's literally raring and ready to go as soon as their ship is in sight. Probably flings himself over there the second someone says the ship is in sight

↳ LOTS and lots of hugs once y'all are finally reunited. He's grinning from ear to ear all day, he's so glad you're safe. He's glued to your side!

Roronoa Zoro

↳ It sets his blood boiling.

↳ Zoro is mentally kicking himself every second of the day until they get you back & even long after. He can’t stand the thought that he wasn’t there to protect you, or far worse, if he was there and failed to protect you from your kidnappers.

↳ He doesn’t feel restless like Luffy. It’s the exact opposite, really– Zoro is laser focused. All of his emotions go straight into training, into preparing for your rescue. He can’t have a second wasted. Chopper probably worries a lot that he's overworking himself, but Zoro is just. Relentless.

↳ He can't even speak once you're reunited. He can't do anything but hold you tightly against his chest for a long few moments, and just breathe until he feels his spirit settle. There was probably so much tension in his body that he didn't even realize he was holding this whole time, not until he finally has you with him again and he can spare a moment to feel relieved.

↳ When the two of you pull apart, he looks you up and down for injuries. Even if he doesn't see any, even if he dreads the answer, he still asks you if anyone has hurt you. Good luck to anyone who did. :)

↳ He usually isn't the type to dwell on the past, but this incident probably haunts him for a while. Not that he gets swept away by the memory of it, but it's something that he briefly recalls while he's training, or while he's up against a strong opponent. And the all-consuming dread of that moment where he learned you were taken, just washes over him anew, and recedes as quickly as it arrived. It always puts a new gust of wind in his sails, makes him push himself that much harder.

↳ He can't stand the thought that anything like this could happen again, and especially not because of his own weakness.

Sanji

↳ Outwardly, Sanji tries to keep a brave face, but privately, he’s horrified. The crew notices, but they're kind enough not to comment directly.

↳ "Don't worry. We're gonna get Y/N back." The crew tells him this so many times. Sometimes it calms him for a little while, particularly when it's Luffy or Robin saying it. Hell, even Zoro telling him so (in less-kind way) could make him believe it a little more. But he can't always help the nagging insecurity in him, the horrible "What if? What if, what if, what if" questions that plague his mind the entire time you're gone.

↳ He remembers all of his time when he was on Whole Cake Island and hopes to everything that you aren’t even half as miserable right now as he was back then. But he can't stop his imagination from running. Every single time, he thinks he's come up with the worst-case scenario. But soon enough he'll think up something even worse.

↳ Sanji tries really hard to distract himself. Training, cooking, organizing and re-organizing the pantry. Sometimes he can't keep his hands from shaking. Sometimes he just needs to stop what he's doing and pace the room, running his hands through his hair over and over. He goes through cigarettes faster than he ever has, and doesn't realize it until he looks into his last box and there's only one left. Which just stresses him out even more.

↳ But after all of that turmoil, he's surprisingly composed during the rescue. Not that he isn't angry; he's absolutely seething. But he's incredibly focused, his mind is on one track the entire time and that's getting you back. And once you're in his arms again– safe, battles over and done with– it's like all the strength just leaves his body at once. He'd literally collapse with you in his arms, shaking. He'd had so much raw fear pent up this whole time, the relief of finally being with you again is enormous.

A Divine ball of fluff

Law startled awake at the sound of gunfire and cannons somewhere above his head. Stepping over the lamp on the floor, he only briefly wondered just how it had managed to fall from his nightstand before he forced himself to focus. He only grabbed Kikoku, then ran out of his room to join his crew on deck, ready to murder whoever had come to disturb his sorely needed nap.

“Hand over Luffy and I might just let you go alive, Trafalgar Law!”

With the angry shout being the first thing Law had heard upon opening the door leading to the Tang’s deck, Law could only groan. Not again. “I keep telling you, old man—” Law slammed the door shut behind himself maybe more aggressively than strictly necessary before quickly striding over to the side of the ship to glare at Vice Admiral Garp—  “none of this was my choice! And your stupid grandson isn’t even here!”  

“Uhm, about that, Captain…” Bepo trailed off, quiet and apologetic.

Law took in a sharp breath, closing his eyes momentarily and praying for patience. “Don’t say it. I don’t want to hear it.”

“Sorry,” Bepo mumbled, dropping his head as if it was somehow his fault their regular ‘guest’ had invited himself over without any warning again.

Shaking his head, Law slowly looked at Garp again. The old man was fuming and not for the first time, Law marveled at the stubbornness of this entire family. No matter how many times he said ‘no’ to either one of them, they just kept coming back like a bad rash. Sometimes, Law couldn’t believe neither of the three brothers or their grandfather were related by blood. Hell, one of them wasn’t even human. But well… when it came down to it, Law couldn’t say he cared.

“Fine, take him,” he said finally, smirking at the loud crash from behind him that immediately followed.

“Torao~” someone whined before arms wrapped around Law’s waist

On reflex, one of Law’s legs shot forward as he braced for the impact of the entire body crashing into him a split second later. Why, just why did this man insist on lunging at people constantly? Law would never understand. He was lucky Law had managed to train his reactions well enough by now to not face plant into the railing anymore. “What?” he asked, smirk still shamelessly in place as he turned to look at the person who was hanging off of him.

The person—or rather, the god—in question was staring back at him with an unhappy frown and a pout on his lips. Law hated to admit he looked outright adorable then, and not just because of the cat ears sitting proudly on top of his head, alert and facing forward in agitation. Ears which were also covered in black, incredibly soft fur that Law would never get tired of petting.

Giving Law something that was probably supposed to be a glare, Luffy finally huffed before continuing, voice sounding incredibly sulky, “How could you just sell me out to gramps like this?”

“Because he could absolute keep you on his ship even if he did take you.      Sure,” Law replied in a tone dripping in sacrasm while he rolled his eyes at the dramatic complaints of the literal embodiement of freedom, the person who could and absolutely did materialize out of nowhere on the Polar Tang whenever he fucking felt like it, without any warning, for the sole purpose of driving Law absolutely crazy with his ideas, only to then disappear into thin air again once he got bored. While on the open sea, with the nearest land two days of sailing away.

“That’s not the point!” Luffy cried, his grip on Law’s waist tightening.

Before Law could say anything back, a canon ball landed a bit too close to the ship, causing a wave of seawater to wash over the both of them. Law cursed loudly at the unexpected and fully unwelcome shower, just as Luffy also hissed loudly; if he was in his full monster cat form, Law could just imagine his fur raising until he looked like a huge, black ball of pure fluff.

…Now Law wanted to see it. He made a mental note to find an opportunity to scare the shit out of him at some point later, when he was in his true form.

“What was that for?!” Luffy demanded when he recovered from the shock.

“A warning shot!” Garp retorted, sounding just as angry as Luffy did. “You get off that pirate ship before I drag you off myself!”

“I’m not going back to Goa! It’s stuffy and tiny and they keep burning down my shrines, I hate it there!”

Garp growled as he grabbed another cannon ball. “As if I care about the idiot king’s orders, I’m not going to give you to those scumbags and I don’t care where you go—” he paused to aim his cannon ball at them threateningly before he continued— “but you’re not becoming a pirate on my watch, you brat!”

Law heard Luffy taking a deep breath behind him, no doubt in preparation to go off on his adoptive grandfather, and he sighed. Before either of these idiots could say anything, Law snapped, “If you’re just going to keep screaming at each other, can I go?”

“No,” Luffy said immediately, digging his claws into Law’s stomach painfully.

At the same time, Garp said, “You stay right where you are, I’m not done with you either!”

Law sighed. Every goddamn time.

“Prepare to submerge,” Law said to Bepo tiredly before raising his hand. “Room. Shambles.”

Appearing back in his room a split second later, Law took a deep breath, giving himself a moment to appreciate the blessed silence—or the alternative of, which meant only muffled rage instead of people screaming right in his ear. Not ideal but he would take it anyway. Honestly, why couldn’t these two ever do anything quietly? This whole thing could be so easily resolved if they had just sat down and talked but no, they just had to go yelling at each other while throwing cannon balls and scratching the other’s face off. And Law never had a say in getting caught in the middle of it every damn time either.

Sometimes, he cursed the day the Tang landed on Dawn Island, the place where all his problems started. But really, he couldn’t with clear conscience say that if he were to relive that day, that he wouldn’t do exactly the same thing; that he wouldn’t stop at the tiny, ancient looking shrine to talk to the young man sitting in front of it. That he wouldn’t answer every question Luffy had about the world beyond his small domain, that he wouldn’t look into those large, excited eyes and invite him to leave with him.

But, as stupid as it was regardless, if he could do it over, at the very least, would now actually know he was accidentally proposing to a literal god; one that was incredibly stuborn, selfish, and bright enough to be the actual sun. A god who also came in a package with a crazy grandfather, two over protective brothers, and the softest, warmest fur Law had ever had the pleasure of touching.

“Thanks for getting me away,” Luffy said after he made himself comfortable on Law’s bed, the anger and raw power that had been radiating off of him only moments ago replaced by his usual happy and carefree attitude.

Law clicked his tongue. “I was getting myself away. Not my fault you were clinging to me like a child.”

“Same thing.” Luffy waved him off.

Law didn’t have the energy to argue. Simply shaking his head at him, he instead bent down to put the lamp he had ignored earlier back on his nightstand.

“Weird how this was on the floor. I distinctly remember it was screwed on tight just yesterday,” Law noted, giving Luffy a pointed stare. Now that he knew this giant, ridiculously strong cat was on the ship, Law had no doubt just how the lamp got knocked off. Briefly, Law wondered whether there was even a point putting it back until Luffy left; he was probably going to knock it off again while staring at it with morbid fascination as it crashed to the floor again and again.

Law watched as Luffy’s eyes veered off to the side, his lips pursing as he mumbled, “Yeah, that’s super weird.”

Huffing out a small laugh, Law crossed the short distance between them, reaching out to ruffle Luffy’s hair. It was almost as soft as his fur was. “I know. A complete mystery,” he said with a smirk before he leaned down, pressing his lips to Luffy’s briefly.

The kiss was easily returned, a wide grin spreading on Luffy’s lips as soon as they separated, and despite himself, Law felt himself smile back. That damn smile would be the death of him. No matter how maddening this man could be, how loud and selfish, the moment he smiled like that, it was like all Law’s problems and frustrations were melting away. Luffy was simply beautiful; adorable and bright, yet absolutely terrifying and Law loved every little bit of it.

It was funny, actually. If someone had told him he would ever say ‘Luffy’ and ‘love’ in the same sentence just half a year ago, Law would have laughed in their face. Back then, Luffy was only some incredibly annoying giant cat who just wouldn’t leave him alone, someone who popped up on the Tang or wherever Law currently was just to ruin any and all of his painstakingly created plans. But now…

Now Law couldn’t remember what life was before him. He had learned to build his plans around Luffy recklessly charging forward, didn’t even bother trying to explain anything to him. He had long since stopped fighting the pull, the warm aura of power and charisma that drew people in and didn’t let go. It took a while but Law had finally accepted that he was not any different from all the other people Luffy had managed to charm without even realizing he was doing it ever since Law had gotten him out of the Goa Kingdom.

There was just something in the stupid divine cat that made people want to join and support him. Maybe it was the sense of absolute freedom that followed him everywhere; be it his own freedom, or the one of whoever Luffy thought deserved it.

“What’s wrong?” Luffy asked after a long while of them just looking at each other.

Law smiled, shaking his head at the cute, worried frown on his face. “Just hoping your grandfather won’t hit us before we sink far enough.”

“He’d never actually hit the ship, he’s a big softie,” Luffy announced, that grin back on his face.

“Good to know.” Law chuckled, finally sitting down on the bed with Luffy. “You know, I was sleeping before you two started fighting,” Law said offhandedly, glancing at Luffy and nearly snorting at the way his ears perked up in excitement.

“Wanna?” the other asked immediately, nearly vibrating in place.

Raising an eyebrow, Law gave Luffy a look. “I was going to say yes but seeing how excited you are, I’m not sure it’s such a good idea.”

“Nah, it’s all good,” Luffy decided, nodding to himself as he hopped off the bed, walking two steps towards the door to Law’s cabin before shifting into his monster cat form, then lied down slowly, watchful as to not break anything while he tried to fit his huge body into the tiny room.

Once Luffy looked back at him expectantly and Law was sure he was fully settled, Law went to join his boyfriend on the floor, careful not to step on any of his limbs or either of his two tails on the way. As he leaned back against the giant cat’s chest, he let his eyes slide shut, already feeling the exhaustion from earlier in the day settling back in. It was just so warm and soft and fluffy and Law would sooner die than admit out loud how much he loved it. It wasn’t like everyone didn’t already know by then anyway. What could he say, Luffy’s fur was impossible to resist. It was worse than Bepo’s in this aspect.

“No licking,” Law reminded, cracking one eye open to shoot Luffy a half-hearted glare when he felt his face come close to his body.

“You’re no fun,” Luffy whined.

Law could only sigh. “I’d just like to keep my skin where it is, thanks.”

“Fine.” Luffy huffed, thankfully keeping his sand-paper tongue where it should be, before he simply nudged Law with his forehead.

A smile pulled on Law’s lips, his hand raising to rest against the side of his little monster’s head. To anyone else, this position would seem incredibly dangerous, yet to Law, it was so very comforting. He had never felt safer than when he lay snuggled into into this god’s side, with the jaw which could fit his entire head inside twice over and then some positioned just inches away from his face.

Right here, Law knew he was home.

And while he gently stroked Luffy’s fur, Law’s eyelids slowly slid shut again.

 ~ Meanwhile ~

“What do we do?!” Shachi cried in panic, staring with wide eyes at the neptunian who looked like it was about to eat the Tang for an afternoon snack.

“We have to call the captain and Luffy, we can’t do this,” Ikkaku shouted back, trying to shoo away another two of these giant sea kings away together with Jean Bart.

A frustrated groan came from Clione in response, “I tried but they won’t answer and the door won’t open!”

“Why do they always have to sleep with Luffy’s giant furry ass blocking the stupid door! How are we supposed to get them out here?!” Shachi whined, mind slowly slipping into despair. Honestly, these lovesick idiots. What use was having a literal god around when he was never there to actually help when they actually needed him to?

This was why Shachi preferred dogs over cats.

You had plenty of bad relationships, even at a young age. It felt like a karma you had to deal with, and at this point, you had accepted that people weren't supposed to stay in your life for long, and you were meant to be hurt every time. The only person who was constant in your life was Sanji. He became your friend when you joined the Strawhats a few months ago.

Oh, Sanji. He was so caring, so protective and loving towards you. You couldn't help having a crush on him. But of course, to you it was gonna be just something platonic, since he was a flirt, and acted kind towards any woman at all.

The ship stopped at your previous island, where you met your last partner. Just thinking of them made you shiver. You didn't want to stop there at all, but the crew was excited, so you had to put a fake smile and pretend you were as happy as they were.

— What's wrong, (Y/N)-swan? — the cook asked putting his hand on your shoulder.

— Nothing, I was just thinking... — you sighed. — This place brings me some bad memories. It gets me kinda anxious.

— You don't need to go, you know? We can just stay here.

— But you need to go grocery shopping...

— Then you can go with me. You'll be safe. I promise I won't let anything bad happen to you.

You nodded and accepted. So you hugged his arm, looking for comfort and walked with him. You felt a bit safe with him next to you. It was weird looking at the place you grew up and also lived some of your worst moments.

Verbal abuse was common in your last relationship. They made you feel bad about yourself, made you feel guilty whenever they made a mistake. You were afraid of leaving them... But after a year of abuse, you did. You left them, and lived in fear for months until you met Luffy and he invited you to join his crew.

Your flashback suddenly stopped when you saw a familiar face. You froze and felt a cold wave run from the back of your neck to your lower back. It was you ex.

— What's wrong, dear? — the blonde asked. While looking at the same direction as you were looking. — Is it them? The person that hurt you?

All you could do was nod, still in shock and not able to move.

— Its okay, we'll walk past them. They'll not even notice us, okay? — he held your hand tighter and started walking, hoping you both would pass unnoticed. It didn't work.

— Oh hello, (Y/N), is that really you? — they said with a sarcastic grin. — Its been a while. I wondered how and where you were

You didn't reply. You knew that if you tried to say anything, you'd start crying. Hopefully they'd just turn around and leave, right?

— What? Cat got your tongue? — they laughed. — And who is this fool? Your new boyfriend? Does he know you're such a weak whor-

Sanji couldn't keep listening to them being cruel to you, and kicked them before they could finish their sentence. They crashed against the wall of some small store, damaging it a little bit. He kneeled in front of them, lit his cigarrete and looked at them.

— Don't you ever talk to (Y/N)-swan like that ever again. Don't even talk to her at all, do you understand? Don't look at her and don't even think about her. — he blew the smoke. — Who do you think you are to offend a woman, especially my girlfriend, like that?

"Girlfriend"? He kept threatning your ex, but all you could think was him calling you his girlfriend. Was he doing that just to protect you or he meant it in another way?

He put his arm around your shoulder and kissed your forehead.

— Let's go, my love. They won't bother you anymore. I'm your protector, remember? I won't let anything bad happen to you.

You blushed as you felt his soft lips touching your skin, and you're sure he felt your face getting warmer.

Later that day, after the crew had dinner. You were helping Sanji to wash the dishes. It was always fun, he made you laugh, sometimes you threw water at each other.

— Hey, Sanji... — you whispered, breaking the comfortable silence.

— Yes?

— Earlier today, when you told (E/N) that I was your girlfriend... — you took a deep breath. — Was there any meaning to it?

The cook stopped what he was doing and dried his hands, taking his time. The wait for his response was driving you crazy.

— I would be more than glad to have you as my girlfriend, you should know that. I like everything about you, and your presence makes me happy. — he gently touched your chin. — But I understand if you're not ready for this right now.

— If we take things slow... Do you think it could work? — your voice was so low he was barely able to hear you.

— We can take all the time you want. — the blonde held your hand. — Tomorrow night let's have a dinner, just us. I'll make the best dish just for you.

— Okay, tommorow night then. — you smiled.

He pulled you closer and kissed your head, and both went back to what you were previously doing.

Maybe that was finally a chance for you to be able to love again.

Okay but what if luffy got his devil fruit a bit younger? Like he was 4ish when shanks brought it. Garp gets pissy earlier and decides to tie some balloons to his grandson and let the sky handle him while he makes arrangements with dadan.

But then it's a particularly bad day for luffy, and a strong wind carried him away from his island, he ends up falling right into one of the newer slave trader's ships and well fuck. He tried to fight them off but one of them has a collar with sea stone that the big boss person gives to every ship, even the smaller ones. So now luffy's fucked.

Since he's got a devil fruit, he's taken to the big boss child slave distributor asshole (put that on a business card) and then eventually gets taken to judge, because of course that dickhead would buy superpowered children. Judge gets him purely because rubber boy can take a hell of a walloping and also is stronger than the average four year old.

The vinsmoke brats and Sanji end up being pitted against Luffy and luffy does not win, but he doesnt die either so that's a plus. Sanji hates beating up a four year old, his brothers seem to love being able to punch something as much as they want without them being taken away or dying.

Luffy ends up learning how to fight by force, and eventually he's dubbed Sanji's fighting partner since they're both the weakest, which sucks because if sanji loses he gets locked up and if luffy loses then judge gives the other three brothers sharp objects and free time with luffy

Eventually luffy befriends sanji because of course he does, and loving food as much as he does he becomes the taste tester for sanji's cooking endeavors, and sometimes luffy manages to limp away to talk to sanji when he's in his cell.

When they escape, they escape together, and sanji becomes a bus boy and luffy just carries shit because he cant really do anything else but he could deadlift a ship at 10 so hey

When the attack happens, sanji's trying to save luffy, but zeff has to save him. Sanji sits on that rock almost certain that luffy's dead.

Luffy didn't die tho, because no, and he got saved, idk how, this is a writing prompt u figure it out, and they end up growing up apart for a bit after that. Luffy doesn't find his island again, but he does a bit of bounty hunting to get by and ends up making a name for himself because apparently his 'training' with the vinsmokes was a little more brutal than he thought.

Sanji works hard, he feels he owes a debt to both zeff and luffy, both of which helped him in some of his worse moments, and ends up a bit more edgy than in canon because he thinks his only friend is dead (push him to the edge🎶)

But then luffy gets blamed for something that was only really half his fault and half the random bandit he was fighting's fault, and he ends up with a bounty. It isn't a big one, just about 10000 berri, he kinda destroyed a bit more marine property than is recommended. But then sanji sees the bounty in the paper and he doesnt know if he should be glad his friend is alive or angry that luffy let him think he was dead.

But then luffy comes to the baratie when hes about 15-16, and then he sees sanji again and now he's super fuckin happy because how would luffy know sanji was alive?? They both came to the conclusion of mutual misunderstanding and lack of information after a bit of angst, because its sanji and luffy. But they get over it because they were both on the bottom end of the vinsmoke hellhole and does it really matter when they're reunited?

Zeff let's luffy steal sanji because it's been over a decade but luffy still wants to be the motherfuckin king, okay? And sanji's gonna be the cook for the pirate king and find the all blue because

Sanji becomes luffy's first mate and then start a sailing. Luffy attracts friends like a magnet, they get usopp next, and luffy kills kuro because luffy isn't as not-killerish as he is in canon because tragic backstory and if you leave a kid alone to be a bounty hunter long enough with only their own brain to make the morals, what do you expect will happen? Usopp joins because 'UwU piwate' is his opinion on the matter

They get nami, and sanji's a bit more chill than in canon because growing up with a guy that was also nice along with his sister and mother had a bit of an impact. He's still a bit if a french goth and treats nami better than other people but he isn't being a douche about a lady fighting or making faces quite as stupid.

Zoro joins but Does Not like sanji, which is mutual but luffy likes him so sanji must deal. They make their way toward the grand line, going back to the baratie, or what's left of it.

Sanji gets another thick layer of angst learning that while he was gone, don krieg destroyed the ship trying to steal it, and then they go to find don krieg, postponing grand line for a hot second because luffy wont leave until he gets to personally kick the ass of whoever made his cook so extra angsty, and sanji seconds that.

They find don krieg in Cocoyashi island, after crashing there with his broke ass ship. They fight him, the ruckus brings out arlong before Nami can attempt to lie to save them.

Sanji gets off one angst and gets it replaced with another when he can barely do shit because he was cooking all this time and is no longer as strong as luffy, who was only really working on fighting. Luffy almost dies because he has to fight both those shitheads back to back, but he wins.

Sanji starts getting more aggressive with zoro, and zoro only stays because he saw the fight and respects his captain, but that's a bit of a loose thing, ready to snap with a wrong move. Or maybe zoro leaves because he needed that fight with mihawk to realise this was serious and he was a pirate now, to each their own.

They stay in the east blue a little longer because luffy nearly died and they dont have a doctor, but he's fine. Sanji gets more guilt tho because that's how he is, and starts treating luffy nicer, which leads to luffy instigating a fight between the two of them because luffy wont swallow that shit. It helps things because violence is sometimes the answer

They head to the grand line, up reverse mountain, meet the whale, the whole shebang. Sanji might catch feels by this point because honestly who wouldn't?

Nami gets sick, and luffy doesn't know how to deal with that because back when he was being carted around with a sea stone collar and 30 other starving children, they just shot the ones that got sick. Ptsd time and guess who gets to help because zoro isn't first mate/here? Sanji! Which definitely puts things into perspective because for as long as he'd known him, luffy's tried his hardest to make sanji smile, and keep him company, even though after being bought luffy's only purpose was to be a stepping stone in sanji's development. So sanji finally being smacked across the face with the brunt of bottled up traumatized child luffy, he needs a fuckin smoke.

They find drum island and then same shit as canon, except it hits a bit harder with luffy carrying a dying nami and a heavily injured sanji up sheer rock because that's the only person that luffy had when shit got rough that he's holding between his teeth.

When sanji wakes up he probably notices how injured luffy is and can estimate the ringer he's been through because Sanji had to personally find out how luffy's healing factor worked because he was a good fraction of the reason luffy needed to heal so much.

They acquire a chopper :3

Synopsis: You’re the newest member of the Straw Hats, and it’s taken a little while for the rest of the crew to warm up to you. All except her... Nico Robin. But when the pursuit of your talent happens to cross paths with her own interests, that all changes... Now later down the line, you want to use your camera to spend a little quality time with Robin. If only the rest of the crew would stay out of the way...

Author’s Note: This is my first ever large fic (something over a thousand words) and I’m so happy with how it came out! It took a while to complete but I hope y’all like it!

The devil child: Nico Robin. One would think from that epitaph that she would be a monster; someone with large horns or something that would constitute “devil child.” But nope, she is the last of her kind, a caring, kindhearted and often morbid person. She is a tall, thin and intelligent being, traits fit for an archeologist.

You knew the first day you had seen her that something special was going to happen between the two of you. Your new captain, Luffy, had admired your resolve and had pretty much demanded (in his own special way) that you join the crew. You had always had a dream of taking pictures of all the islands you could, to document the world just in case something happened. The crew welcomed you with open arms of course, but it seemed like the mysterious woman with long black hair and sunglasses was avoiding you at first.

It was no wonder she was avoiding you. It was when you had learned her past that it all had made sense. After speaking with the others over time, you had learned the truth; the horrible truth. She was the last of her people; the island of Ohara had been destroyed, her friends and family gone, and she had been hunted down just for the fact that she was the lone survivor. And then the water 7 incident; where she sacrificed her life so the rest of the straw hats could escape just because she didn’t feel she was worthy of their friendship. You could remember the first time she had learned of your skill. You had gotten off of the ship to explore an island. You thought back about that day…

The trees were lush and green as you traversed a windy path that led to a hill, looking for that one landmark that would help you remember the island forever. Walking along the stone pathway, you noticed that the ground was littered with these tiny pieces of metal that you were unaware of the origin or purpose of. Intrigued, you kept up your pace as you walked, seeing more and more chunks of this metal. You decide to pocket one of the smaller pieces in hopes of maybe getting an idea of what it was from, possibly through Franky or Usopp. Just in case, you decided to document your journey up the hill. Maybe there would be something that you missed upon first glance.

As you kept walking, you noticed less and less of the metal objects, and more tall grass and trees. Maybe the metal had been from some kind of outer fortification and you were now coming to an inner garden or the like. That hypothesis was soon tested as you came upon rising stone structures. Incomplete walls and archways were scattered in a manner you couldn’t make any sense of. Architecture was more of Robin’s area of expertise. Thinking of her, you brought your camera up to the hill to start finding good framing for a few snapshots. A place like this needed to be documented, and you weren’t going to wait for someone else to come do it. After wandering around and getting a few angles of the major structural remnants, you started to head back to the Sunny. On the way back you bumped into her by accident.

“Oh! Robin I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to bump into you, I must not have been looking where I was going.” You apologized profusely as she turned around and gave you a wide smile. “It’s okay, I’m just glad it wasn’t a group of bandits looking for hostages.” You were slightly confused by her comment but shook it off. “Hey Robin, I heard that you’re into archeology…could you possibly tell me what these buildings are?” With a wide eyed look of glee, she put her hands around your camera and with a nod you let her take it. “From what it looks like, it seems like it’s an open garden…some of the sides of the walls have poneglyph writing on them…it must be very very old, predating my family.”

Fast forward to now, where the two of you have become much closer than you ever thought you would, and certainly much happier. You’ve expressed many times how photogenic you think she is, and how much you’d like to get the chance to have her pose for a shoot. She never hesitates to tease you on what you might do with those photos, or just what sort of photoshoot it will really be, but you know she’s also flattered that you like her appearance to that degree. Finally you both have some free time and you set up your camera and a few outfits for her to wear. It was a warm day so most of the outfits she’s wearing corresponds to the weather.

“Hey Robin, why don’t you lean up against the mast and we can get a couple shots of you looking badass, okay?” “Yeah, that sounds good!” She saunters over to the mast and did a variety of poses; a squat, a lean, one with her arms crossed and even one with her Devil fruit, her arms dotted across the top of the mast, aiming down. “You want to try another outfit and then we can we can do some of you over the side, maybe looking wistful?”

Nodding, she heads over to her room to get changed into a different outfit; she always has a good sense of fashion and that’s something you’ve admired about her. Unbeknownst to you, you and your subject have attracted quite the bit of attention. Sanji has been discreetly watching the two of you, and Chopper and Luffy have been a bit confused, albeit intrigued to what you were doing. It looked like Luffy had a plan to cause some mischief; you don’t know what kind but you were not going to let him ruin your day.

Robin returns swiftly, having changed into a white dress with purple polka dots and matching lace at the bottom. She really does look lovely in that, you think to yourself. “Alright, you ready to take some more pictures?” She gives an enthusiastic nod and heads over to the side of the boat, resting her hands on the rails and looking off in the distance.

As soon as you try to take the picture, Luffy and Chopper giggle loudly, attacking Robin with a hug. Sanji emerges from where he was watching and takes the chance to put his head in her chest. Even though this shot was totally not what you were expecting, you could live with it. It makes good memories of you and your crew. With a loud shout, you alert the rest of the crew to what you are doing; Franky and Usopp come tumbling out of their workshops like something is wrong. Nami vaults over the railing, running over to the picture as Zoro complains about all the noise. And finally, Brook comes out from inside the galley to see what all the fuss is about.

“Hey all” you start. “I was doing a photo shoot with Robin when Luffy and Chopper photobombed me and I have a great idea! Why don’t we do a few group pictures to create some good memories?” For the most part, the group agreed; minus Zoro who was still grumpy from being woken up. Upon agreement, you begin to put everyone in a place before everything falls apart, and you decide to just let them pose the way they want. The smile on Robin’s face as she’s surrounded by her dear friends is an image you want to treasure forever. Fortunately, you can.

"I got you!" Said Luffy while Ceasar being in shock. "Nice going, Luffy!" Franky shouts to him. "Let go of me, you filth!" Said Ceasar angrily at Luffy. "No way!" Luffy refused and still hold him captured. "So that's Haki, huh? Luffy is one hell of a guy! He's holding onto logia user. Ceasar's minions/men are running to Ceasar and Luffy to save their own Master Ceasar. But (name), Robin and Franky stop them and attack them. "With Luffy as strong as he is now, that guy should be a piece of cake!" Said Franky. "We can't be sure, just yet. The Haki of Arms can restain logia users, who would normally be untouchable, but it can't take away their power the ocean-energy or Sea Stone can. We still don't know the true power...of the Gas Gas fruit." Robin said while looking up at Luffy that has captured Ceasar.

Not much later Ceasar and Luffy fight each other for a short time. But suddenly Ceasar uses Gastanet while he holds in his right hand a clap thing. *click* BOOM!!!! Suddenly there came a huge explosion while Luffy was jumping to attack Ceasar. (Name), Robin and Franky were shocked. Ceasar and his minions are happy. Ceasar has defeated him, destroyed him, killed him. Or.....he thinks so. "Man, that was close!" Out of the blue Ceasar hears a familiar voice behind him. "Huh?" Ceasar can't believe what he has heard. He turns around and saw Luffy standing behind him, alive and well. "Huuuuuuuuh?!!!!!!" Shouted Ceasar and his minions and were shocked. "Gomu Gomu no jet stamp" Luffy said and kicks Ceasar with his power. "That was one huge explosion!" He said after he kicked Ceasar.

"He escaped from the explosion! That guy is sure fast!" Said Franky. "Thank goodness." Said Robin and is relieved that Luffy is still alive. "Thank God he's still alive." Said (name). "If that so called Master has killed Luffy, I would've sent him to despair." Said (name) to herself. "Alright." Said Luffy and is ready to capture Ceasar but then for real. "How dare you hurt our Master?!" Shout one of Ceasar minions. "Get out of my way!" Said Luffy while running and punching Ceasar minions that are in his way. "Alright, this time i've got you!" Said Luffy while finally capturing him. "Robin! Franky! (Name)! You got anything to keep this guy in? He's a Logia-user, so tying him up won't work." Shout Luffy to them. "Hmmm, is there a barrel or something lying around?" Said Franky while looking around. "I don't know, but I hope we will find something." Said (name) and is also looking around. The G-5 are running to the Straw Hats, (name) and Ceasar to capture them. "Nihihihihihihihi." Laughed Luffy but then something happens, he let go of Ceasar. Something is wrong. "Luffy?" Said Robin and is worried. He stretch his arm out to grab Ceasar and suddenly, he collapses. "Luffy!" Said Franky and is also really worried. "Oh no!" Said Robin. "Don't tell me...!" (Name) said while completely being worried and panicked.

"Robin, you keep your eyes for a chance to save Luffy! While (name) and I draw him and his men away!" Said Franky and he and (name) are running to the Ceasar minions and Ceasar. "Be careful! That man is dangerous!" Robin warned them. "What did you do to Luffy!" Shout angrily Franky at Ceasar. "Make way!" He said angrily and uses his attack at them. "Strong right" While Franky said his cyborg fist launch to the enemies and being blown away. "Thundaga!" (Name) shouts while she summons a barrage of lightning bolts from above to strike the enemies. "You're next!" Franky shouts and uses powerful attack to Ceasar. "Franky Radical Beam" He said and shoots the laser at him.

"Wing." Robin said and multiple arms that comes out of her back turns into wings. "Luffy!" She said while grabbing the unconscious Luffy and flies away with him. But then she also collapse and falls on the ground with Luffy. "Robin!" Said Franky and (name). "Now Robin is also unconscious, but how?!" (Name) said to herself. Franky and (name) hurriedly run to them. "Luffy! Robin! Are you both okay?! Please say something!" Said (name) worriedly while she squat next to Luffy and looks at Robin if they're alright. "Robin! Are you alright?! Hang in there, Robin!" Said Franky also worriedly and squats next to her.

(Name) puts two fingers on the side of Luffy's neck to feel his pulse. "He's still breathing. He's just unconscious." Said (name) to herself and do the same by Robin. "They're unconscious, but thank goodness they're still alive." (Name) said and Franky is relieved when he hears that, (name) and Franky glare at Ceasar, he must have something done to them. "Damn you!" Shout Franky angrily at him. "Strong ri-" Suddenly Franky stops speaking, (name) noticed that he can't breathe anymore. "Franky!" (Name) panicked and collapses on the ground. "Oh noooo!!!" Said (Name) and glares at Ceasar. Ceasar evil grins at them. "What have you done with them, you freak?!" (Name) shouts at him. "Don't worry, they're not dead...yet!" Said Ceasar at her. "What?!" (Name) said and her eyes widened.

She grits her teeth. "I won't let that happen-" (Name) suddenly she can't speak anymore. "I-I can't breathe. It feels....L-Like I'm being...strangled..." Said (name) to herself and is scared.

"....I-I have to attack him.....even if it's just...once." (Name) said to herself and points her keyblade Star Light to him. "Hmmmm. What's that weird weapon? It's like a child's toy." Said Ceasar and makes fun at her. "M-Mega Flare." (Name) mumbles and fires a fireball at him. "Aaaaaagh!!!!" It hit Ceasar and creates a blinding-distorting explosion that heavily damage Ceasar. (Name) drop the Keyblade and collapses on the ground.

What later Law, Smoker in Tashigi's body, Tashigi in Smoker's body, Straw Hats and (name) are chained and captured while they're in a large cage.

Everyone was awake except (name) and Franky. But now, (name's) eyes are slowly open and her head rises up while trying to wake up. "You're awake." Said Robin to her. "Where are we? And what has happened?" (Name) asked. "We are in Ceasar's lab and he has used poison-gas to make you and others to be captured. And (name)-ya, you're drooling." Law replied to her. "Huh?" (Name) can feel drool on her chin. She tried to wipe it off but she's chained like the others. "Great..." (Name) murmured but then she glances at Law's winter coat and leans to him. "What are you doing?" He asked and then he realized what she's doing. (Name) rub her chin to wipe the drool of on his shoulder. Law looks disgust at her. "Oi, stop it!" Robin chuckles and Luffy laughs at it. But she didn't listen and keeps going. "That's what you get for stealing literally my heart! Hmmph!" She said and huffs while looking away.

Law rolls his eyes at her childish behavior. The drool on her chin was gone. "Urgh. It's embarrassing that I was drooling when I was unconscious. Well sometimes by also sleeping. But i'm glad I payback him." (Name) said to herself and snickers. Tashigi in Smoker's body tries to free herself but it won't work. "It's no use. That's Prism Stone chain. Said Law to Tashigi. Then someone entrees in Ceasar's lab. "You're awake, huh?" Said Monet while walking in the lab room. "What is she?" Said Luffy. "You all look better than I thought." Said a man that walks in Ceasar's lab and comes closer to the cage. "What you're..." Said Tashigi with disbelief. "You're the head of the G-5! Why the hell are you here?! Vergo!" Said Smoker and can't believe why he was here.

"All the shutters are closed!" Said a voice that comes out a Den Den Mushi.

"Okay." Monet said and hungs up. "Sounds like they're moving ahead with preparations. Poor Navy soldiers." She said. "What is Ceasar up to?" Vergo asks to her. "Well, I don't know exactly but he woke his pet Smiley up so... I think he's planning to do a big experiment. Looks like it's going to be a very dangerous one." Monet replied.

By the way, Vergo, did you eat a hamburger this morning?" She asked while noticing that Vergo has a piece of hamburger on his cheek. "How did you know? It's my favorite." He wonders how she knows that he had eaten a hamburger. "There is a piece of it still stuck beside your mouth." Monet replied. Vergo looks at the reflex of his coffee and sees a piece of hamburger stuck on his cheek, he pulls it off and eats it. "I would like to see the experiment before I go. Everyone outside will die?" Vergo asks to Monet. "Probably. But you will be safe in here." She replied.

"Oi, Vergo!" Smoker angrily shouts at him. "They're all navy soldiers of the G-5 outside! Your subordinates! Are you gonna leave them to die?!" Smoker shouts at Vergo. "Yeah, I think so." Vergo answered and doesn't seem to care....at all. "What did he just say?!" Tashigi can't believe what she hears. "Anyway, I can't believe there are such big name's in one cell, expect her. I like the view." Said Vergo. (Name) is relieved he knows absolute nothing of her.

So what (name) and others know is that Ceasar abducted the kids, Vergo covered it up as accident at sea and that he the head of the base was a double agent. Law tells that Vergo was originally a pirate, he was ordered by Joker to join the Navy and that he had been working with the Joker from the very start. Tashigi and Smoker were in shock when they hear that. After Vergo tells that he's free from stress, he shows Law's heart cube in his right hand before he said to Law that he blabbed out so much. Vergo walks to the bar to grab some drink and he says he's not worried to be suspected by G-5 marines because they really trust him.

Vergo said to Tashigi and Smoker they will die here so that they will never tell the truth about Vergo and Ceasar. And he'll let Ceasar handle G-5 marines outside. Vergo won't let them go away who know his identity. Luffy asks who Joker is and Law tells them he has also worked with him once, and that's why he knows who Vergo really is. Law also explains that Joker is just alias as an underground broker and his true identity one of the seven most notorious pirates, a member of the seven Warlords, and the Joker name is Don Quixote Doflamingo.

Luffy thinks who Doflamingo is. "Doflamingo...Who is that?" He has absolute no idea. While Smoker asks if Luffy has seen him at the Navy Headquarters (Name) is thinking in this situation. "I know nothing of this world. Who is Doflamingo, what is Haki, what is Devil-Fruit user...." (Name) said to herself and feels a bit outsider. It's not the first time she felt that, but she can't tell that she's from another world, it's the world order.

What later Ceasar comes inside but he doesn't look good. Monet saw Ceasar coming but he looks damaged. "What has happened?" Monet asked him.

Vergo turns around and furrowed his eyebrows a bit. "It's because of-" Ceasar paused and suddenly sees (name) chained with the others and locked in cage. "Her!" Cesear looks angrily at (name). "What did you do to him?" Law asked to (name) and it's kinda curious how Ceasar is damaged. "Oh, I used Mega Flare on him." (Name) replied. "Mega Fare?" Said Smoker and has no idea what it is. "Let's just say I cast a fire ball on him. "A fire ball? Does that mean that she's has Mera Mera no Mi?" Said Tashigi to herself.

When Ceasar saw (name) he's glad that she's captured thanks to his devil-fruit. But whatever she did it to him it was powerful and dangerous attack. "She's the one, who did this to you?" Vergo asked while looking at (name). "Yes, but now she's chained she can't do this anymore-besides I found something very interesting." Said Cesaer evily and (name) sweatdrops when she hears that and hopes he doesn't know that she's from another world.
