Head's up: This post is an ode to Arthur Weasley and Ron and Harry's friendship.

Ron really said I'm gonna make you part of my family you like it or not. He wrote at least TWELVE TIMES. THE COMMITMENT. Also, Harry's sass is on point.

So the twins and Ron know how to pick open a lock, which leads me to believe that all the Weasley siblings can, but most importantly, they talk about knowing muggle tricks. My natural and totally logical conclusion? Arthur Weasley taught them. I SAID IT.

Oh really? And yet I recall not a chapter ago you saying even news from Malfoy was better than nothing. Huh.

Percy is a cool nerd and the king of time management. He already has a girlfriend before any of his siblings (in school, Charlie is ace in my heart and Bill is too hot and independent to be single and not ready to mingle), and no one in his family suspects a thing.

HAHAHHA ARTHUR PLEASE!

Molly fattening Harry is one of my favorite canon dynamics. I always love to read it in fanfics and add it to what I write.

Not ONE girl has been called very good-looking yet (I think?). Harry "bi-who-lived" Potter my beloved. Also, I am forever mad at the fact that the movies never gave us HOT Lockhart. We were robbed! They also never gave us hot twink Firenze so what was I expecting (see thereaderarchive reads PS part 9).

Harry and Neville being god brothers is a headcanon you'd have to pry from my cold dead hands. Wdym that Harry's godmother is uncertain and Harry and Neville aren't friends? No, Alice is one of Lily's closest friends (a big sister really) and the Godmother to her first born son. Those boys have been friends since their first tummy time together at Potter Manor (while James and Frank nodded off on the couch cause being a newborn dad is more tiresome than any quidditch match). Those two spent most of their childhood at each others side. By six years old they knew how to use the floo system just so they could over the others house. Lily and Alice can't count the amount of times that they woke up to see that their son wasn't in his own bed, only to find the boys took it upon themselves to have a sleepover. Even when they got sorted into different houses at hogwarts, they remained as close as always because that is their brother. When Neville tried out for quidditch, Harry cheered for him in the stands despite knowing that those same blundgers would soon be directed at him. Like, those two are on par with James and Sirius as far as I am concerned.

It has come to my attention that I don't really engage very well with one Ron Weasley in my fics. I've read a few excellent Ron POV pieces and some good meta stuff, and I wanted to take a stab at doing more right by his character.

Also, the thing about Snape needing to put the sword of Gryffindor in the icy lake so the boy who always has to almost die every book could almost die MORE times in order to get the sword and maybe NOT almost die before actually whoops dying...struck me as dumb when I read it many years ago, and now I am aware that I get to write it DIFFERENTLY.

Dronarry Fest - 5 fics I loved

Since joining up with the dragontamers, Draco counts his days in nights. Nights spent drinking in the commune mess, making poor choices he doesn't regret, for once. Nights he doesn't remember, and nights he wishes he could stop remembering. Then there's that night in Spain, caught in the circle of Ron's arms. A year of nights in Norway, caught in the heat of Harry's gaze. His first night at the Burrow, caught in between them both.

200 Words: The Right Sort

“I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks,”

Ron Weasley will never tell Harry how much that meant to him.

He was no one, but to Harry Potter, he was a someone; He let Ron sit in his compartment with him and shared his sweets.

Ron was expecting someone popular to come into their compartment and take Harry for their selves and Draco Malfoy did just that – or he tried to.

Ron only knew Harry for a few hours, but he could tell Harry hated Malfoy as much as he did. If he could say You-Know-Who’s name out loud, then standing up to Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle was a piece of cake.

Harry had told Ron a lot about himself and he had had it a lot worse with those muggles. What Harry needed was a friend who could support him and Harry chose Ron of all people and he told Malfoy where to go.

Standing up to Malfoy was worth it seeing Goyle howling in pain, trying to throw Scabbers off his thumb after trying to nick their sweets.

Ron was a no one, but to Harry, he was a someone; He was the right sort.

It is clear you hate Wolfstar, but what about Prongsfoot?

Platonic or not?

Because my BRotp are Ronarry/Rarry and Prongsfoot.

I love prongsfoot in any form! James and Sirius are soulmates so I think they work any way you spin it. I have yet to see prongsfoot shippers deny or dismiss canon which I think sets it apart from other ships. I think it is rather telling that the prongsfoot lovers stick to the canon characterizations. Their close dynamic is canon so there is a lot to play with without having to make shit up like others. In any other fandom they would be THE ship, but alas other lesser pairings have stolen their rightfull spot.

I am someone who value friendships more than anything so I just really adore them and their dedication and love for each other. prongsfoot is for me the ultimate otp and brotp and jilypad is THE ot3!

I also enjoy Harry and Ron and I think they deserve more love <3
