Unrecognizably Fat
A Criminal Changes His Appearance
This story is based on an anonymous request.
***
Uncle Ramon backhanded me across the face. “I thought I could trust you.”
I knew better than to talk back. I’d seen what my uncle could do when he was mad. My only choice was to stand there and take it.
It didn’t matter that I’d devoted my entire life to the Family, that I’d always been his most trusted nephew. I made one mistake, and that was all he cared about.
“Miguel!” he shouted over his wide shoulder. “The photo!”
Miguel, my uncle’s #2, ran over and placed a computer printout in Ramon’s hand. He immediately shoved it into my face. “You see this guy? You recognize this guy?”
“Yes, sir.”
He was showing me a photo of myself. My face was dripping wet, but everyone could see that it was me.
Since I was six, Uncle Ramon used me as his courier. He gave me packages and I delivered them without question. “The Flash,” he called me, because I had the unique ability to run anywhere without getting caught. If I’d been allowed to go to a regular high school, I probably would’ve been on the track team. I probably would’ve beaten records. But since I was a Serrano, I had to use my incredible speed for the Family.
I was 24 now. Never slipped up. Never been caught.
Until last night, when I was evading the police after a delivery gone wrong. I would’ve gotten out of there undetected, but in my rush across the waterfront, I accidentally knocked a man into the wharf. Uncle Ramon would’ve told me to keep going, but I couldn’t let him die. I jumped in and saved him, costing me precious time.
Now I was on camera. There was footage of me on the docks at the time of the delivery. I messed up, though deep down, I knew that I wouldn’t change what I’d done. I had to save that guy, even though it meant putting the family business in jeopardy.
“Aren’t you gonna apologize?” he screamed into my face.
“I’m sorry, sir.”
He slapped me again, then stepped backward. “What am I gonna do with you? The cops are looking for you now. And that face, that handsome face… They’re gonna find you.”
I shivered. “I’ll go away.”
“Where’ll you go? You can’t leave the country. You can’t stay here.”
I started crying, which made his anger so much worse.
“Get outta here!” he screamed. Then he changed expressions, becoming eerily calm. I’d seen him do that before. Switch from furious to blank. It was not a good sign. “Don’t go home. Don’t contact anyone in the Family. Don’t do anything until you’ve changed that face. Then come straight back here.” He looked over his shoulder. “Miguel! Write down the address for Dr. What’s-His-Name!”
Miguel scurried over with a business card. He placed it in my hands.
“Change your looks, kid. And hurry.”
He didn’t have to ask me twice.
***
I went to the address on the card. Dr. Nicolai Shuliya. Ironically, his office was on the waterfront, minutes away from where this whole mess went down. I wore a hoodie to obscure my face and kept watch of everyone around me.
I was terrified. If the cops found me, I’d go to jail for life. Uncle Ramon had a lot of connections, and to avoid getting arrested himself, he’d throw me under the bus in a second.
I was also sad. More sad than scared, actually. I had no friends, no real family, and pretty soon, I wouldn’t even have my own face.
I saw the empty warehouse where Dr. Shuliya kept his illegal plastic surgery office. I took a deep breath and approached.
“Hey!” someone shouted behind me. “It’s you!”
My heart stopped. My first instinct was to run, but for some reason, my feet wouldn’t move. I couldn’t turn around, either. I was stuck there, frozen, as this stranger slowly walked around me so he could see my face.
“It is you!” he exclaimed and wrapped me in his arms like we were old friends. “You don’t recognize me, do you?”
He pulled away so I could get a better look. He was about my age. Very handsome. A bit shorter than me, with dark eyes and black hair. Filipino, maybe?
When it was obvious I didn’t recognize him, he introduced himself. “I’m Ed! The guy you saved! I came back here to see if I’d find you, and…” He hugged me again. “Thank you so much.”
My heart raced as he squeezed his muscular body into mine. I knew I should stay away from this guy. He was the reason I was in this mess in the first place. Worse, he was keeping me here, where the police might catch me any second.
Still… I felt weirdly connected to him. Maybe it was because he was quite handsome. Maybe it was because I’d saved his life. I don’t know.
He pulled away. “Where are you going? You’re not gonna run off again, are you?”
After I’d dragged him onto the dock and resuscitated him, I ran away before he could thank me. I was surprised he could even recognize my face.
“I’m, uh, going in there.” I nodded toward the dire-looking warehouse, all rusted metal and barbed wire.
He squinted at me. “Why? What’s your story?”
I really wanted to tell him, but obviously I couldn’t. “I’m sorry. I…” My words caught in my throat. Two cops appeared from around the corner. Ed couldn’t see them, but I could. I didn’t have time to run away, so I dove behind some crates and prayed that they wouldn’t spot me.
I could hear the cops march over. “Excuse me, sir?” I heard one of them say. “Have you seen this man?”
I peered between the crates and saw the policeman hold up my picture.
Ed looked at it for a long time. My heart pounded as I waited for him to rat me out. “Yes. I recognize him. That’s the man who saved my life.”
I gulped. The jig was up.
“I see,” the other policeman said. “And do you know where he is?”
“Nope,” Ed answered. “He ran off after he saved my life. Sorry I can’t help.”
The policemen thanked him for his time and went on their way. I waited until they were gone.
Slowly, I stood up and walked back to the man. “Thank you.”
He smiled. It was such a beautiful smile. “Now you have to tell me who you are.”
I guess I did. “I’m JJ. I’m sort of, on the run.”
“Figured as much. And why are you running to that spooky warehouse?”
I told him about the plastic surgeon waiting for me.
He flinched. “You can’t do that.”
“I have to.”
“But… you’ll ruin your handsome face.”
That made me blush.
“Come with me. Please. I’ll keep you hidden.”
I knew that wasn’t going to work. If I stayed in the city, if I didn’t change my face, then it was only a matter of time before someone found me. Dr. Shuliya was my only option. I opened my mouth to tell him no, but that’s not what came out of my mouth. I said, “Okay.”
And just like that, Ed led me to his apartment a few blocks away.
***
I ate another fried spring roll. (“Lumpia,” Ed called it.) God, these were delicious. In a matter of minutes, I’d wolfed down four. I hadn’t realized how hungry I was.
“Delicious, huh?”
“Your mom is an amazing cook,” I said.
Ed’s apartment was above his family’s restaurant, which served a mixture of Chinese and Filipino cuisine. The smells alone were enough to make my mouth water.
He scooted the plate closer to me. “Have another.”
I couldn’t. I was stuffed. Besides, we had a lot to talk about. “Thanks for letting me stay here, but I really need to sneak back to the waterfront.”
“So you can mangle your face? No. I won’t let you.”
I smiled. It had been a long time since someone had shown me actual kindness. Especially someone so friendly. And handsome.
“I appreciate your help,” I said, “but… you really shouldn’t be helping me. I’m bad news.”
“I don’t think you are. I think you’re a good person forced into a bad situation. I can see kindness in your eyes.” He reached across the table and grabbed my hand. “If you tell me everything, I know we can figure out what to do. Together.”
So I did. For the first time in my life, I was actually honest with someone. I told him about my family, about all the jobs I was forced into, about how miserable I was, and about how my life was over now because of that one stupid photo.”
He listened patiently, his dark eyes locked on mine, his face kind but neutral. When I was finished, he wordlessly stood up, sat next to me, and wrapped me in a tight hug. I didn’t realize I was crying until I felt the tears drop off my cheek and onto his shoulder.
He held me, rubbing my back and whispering, “It’ll be okay. I got you, JJ.”
I could’ve stayed in his arms forever, but I pulled away. When I wiped the tears out of my eyes, I could see a surprising expression on his face: certainty.
“I know what we can do,” he declared. He grabbed another spring roll and handed it to me.
I ate it.
“So you need to change your appearance before the police find you. Well, you don’t need surgery for that. There’s an easier way. A more fun way.”
“And what’s that?” I said through a mouthful of spring roll.
He didn’t answer me. When I swallowed, he handed me another one.
“I can’t.”
“Eat it and I’ll answer you.”
So I did. I ate that one extra-fast. I wanted an answer. “Well?”
He handed me another one.
“Still not gonna tell me?”
He pushed the spring roll toward my mouth. I ate that one even faster. I was getting impatient. “Well? If you keep this up, I’ll be 300 pounds before you finally answer me.”
“Exactly!” he said.
I didn’t understand. Then slowly, it dawned on me. “You’re going to make me fat? No! I’d rather get surgery!”
He smiled bigger than ever. “Just stay with me for a few days. Think about it.”
“Fine,” I said as he handed me another spring roll. I was never going to let myself get fat, but I definitely wanted to spend a little more time with Ed.
***
Three months later.
Ed stood behind me in the shower, rubbing the dye out of my hair. I kept my eyes closed and gave in to the wonderful thrill of his touch. We’d been intimate hundreds of times in the last few months, but there was something particularly hot about his fingers massaging my scalp while his naked body was pressed against my back.
“Almost done,” he said. He finished rubbing my hair before his hands moved down to my belly. Of course they did. He squeezed at the new fat around my middle. The hot water washed over us for a few more seconds. And then he turned off the shower.
I stepped onto the tile floor and toweled myself off. Then I walked to the mirror to check my reflection. The face that smiled back at me was round and quite handsome. My long hair and thick beard were both red now, but I still had the feeling that people could see past that and recognize the old me.
“What do you think?” Ed asked. He stood behind me, holding me by the widened hips.
“I don’t know. I think I’m still recognizable.”
“Recognizable? Are you serious?” He grabbed my belly and jiggled in. “Do you really think someone will see all of this and say, ‘Hey, that’s the super-athletic drug runner! That’s the guy so fast that people called him the Flash’?”
“I guess not.”
“You’re just being contrary because you don’t actually want to go outside,” he said.
“Of course I do!” I protested. Being stuck in the same small apartment for three months had left me with more than a little cabin fever. I wanted to go outside. I needed to go outside.
But deep down, I knew that some part of me wanted to stay “trapped” here just a little bit longer. For three wonderful, glorious months, I’d been waited on hand and foot. Ed’s family cooked me massive meals downstairs. Ed brought them up. I ate until I couldn’t. Then he fed me the rest. What started as a suggestion that I thought would never work had turned into the most amazing, delicious, erotic three months of my life. Ed grew me bigger and bigger, and together we watched my wiry body balloon and soften.
And now, with these extra 50-plus pounds (I’m not exaggerating), we’d both decided that I looked different enough to leave the apartment.
He slapped me on my wobbly ass. “Get dressed. It’s time to go outside.”
***
Twenty minutes later, Ed and I were walking along a busy street. I loved feeling direct sunlight against my face for the first time in months, though I didn’t appreciate the extra sweat under my arms and inside the fat roll under my chest.
Ed squeezed my hand. “See? No one’s paying attention to you.”
That was true. I was just another chubby guy in a sea of faces. I still felt nervous that I’d run into a member of the Family. We weren’t too far from their turf.
Ed stopped walking.
I did, too. “What?”
“Let’s eat here.” We were standing next to an Italian restaurant.
I wasn’t hungry at all. Before Ed dyed my hair, he’d stuffed me mercilessly with noodles. I could still feel it sloshing around in my stomach. “I don’t know…”
“Suit yourself,” he said casually. “We’ll either eat here or at Senora Reina’s.”
I gulped. Seniora Reina’s was Uncle Ramon’s favorite Mexican restaurant. If we ate there, we’d definitely run into at least a couple members of the Family.
“Here’s fine!” I blurted out.
He kissed my cheek. “Thought so.”
He held the door open and I walked inside. Despite my very full stomach, the tomatoey aroma made me salivate. I loved all the food Ed’s family had cooked for me, but I hadn’t had Italian in months.
The hostess led us to a table near the window. Ed pulled out my chair like a real gentleman before I sat. He was my boyfriend now. My first real boyfriend, since I’d kept my sexuality a secret around the Family. We’d been together since I moved in with him, and yet this felt like our first date. I couldn’t stop smiling.
The hostess gave us menus. I looked at mine for a while, not sure what to order. Ed always chose what I ate.
“What are you gonna get?” I asked.
“Probably lasagna,” he said. “And you?”
“I don’t know.” Lasagna did sound good. So did the fettuccine.
“Do you want me to pick for you?” he offered.
“Could you?” My dick stiffened a little. I didn’t know why.
He smirked. “My pleasure. But before I do, I need to ask. Are you still worried about being outside?”
“Yeah,” I admitted. Sitting so close to the window kept me on edge. I imagined the police walking by and spotting me. Or worse, Uncle Ramon.
“I see,” he said. “So you’re scared that you haven’t changed your looks enough.”
“Uh huh,” I admitted. Though I didn’t know what that had to do with the type of food he was going to order.
Then I noticed the devious glint in his eye, and I knew. He was going to order me multiple entrees. Even though we were outside the apartment, he was planning to make me stuff myself again.
I stiffened a little more.
When the waiter came over, Ed ordered lasagna for both of us. Then he ordered three more dishes just for me. I could’ve stopped him at any moment. I could’ve said that I didn’t have the room. But I kept silent.
And when the food came, I ate every bite.
***
I had to lean against Ed as we walked out of the restaurant. I was woozy and bloated. Horny, too. Always horny after a big meal.
We took our time strolling down the sidewalk. My head was down, my eyes half-opened, but I trusted Ed not to let me walk into anything. Before I knew it, we were back in our neighborhood. His family’s restaurant (and our upstairs apartment) was just ahead.
Home free.
When we were twenty feet from the side door, I looked up at the exact wrong time. Miguel, Uncle Ramon’s second in command, was walking right toward us.
I immediately turned my head, but it was too late. Our eyes met. Ignoring the throbbing pain in my stomach, I hurried into the alley next to our apartment. Ed sped up, unaware that I’d just seen someone from my old life.
I fumbled with my keys. Ed was faster than me (thank God). He unlocked the door and I ran inside, my hard gut bobbing in front of me as I rushed into the darkness. Ed closed the door behind us just as Miguel walked into the alley. I could hear his footsteps on the other side of the door. “JJ?” he shouted.
Dammit. He did recognize me! After all this work, I still looked the same.
Ed and I hurried upstairs. I didn’t feel safe until I was back in the apartment. I closed the curtains shut, plopped onto the couch, and waited for my breathing to slow down.
Ed sat next to me, giving me a belly rub to calm me down. “It’s okay. He wasn’t sure what he saw.”
“They know I’m here now. They’ll come back.”
***
That’s exactly what happened.
The very next day, while I was on the couch sleeping off a heavy breakfast, Ed rushed into the apartment with a blank face. He looked like he was in shock.
“Huh?” I was barely awake.
“So I just met your uncle.”
Okay. Now I was completely awake. “What happened?”
“He came into the restaurant with three other guys. They sat at a table and acted like they were just grabbing lunch. Mom made me wait on them.”
“Did they ask about me?”
“Yeah. They even showed me an old picture of you. It had been photoshopped to make your hair red and add a beard. Didn’t add your new double-chin, though.”
I gulped. “What did you say?”
He laughed darkly. “I dialed up my gayness and said the picture looked so sexy. That creeped them out and they stopped asking. Somehow, I think that worked. They looked really uncomfortable and left before their food came. Didn’t pay, of course.”
That made me feel a little better. I was safe for now. But I knew how the Family worked, and I knew that just in case, Uncle Ramon would have one of his guys watching this building. Probably indefinitely.
“I can’t leave the apartment for a while,” I said, both to Ed and to myself.
“For how long?”
“At least another fifty pounds.”
***
Six months (and 120 pounds) later.
Ed wrapped a towel around my neck, tucking it in place under my chins. “Ready?”
“Fine,” I mumbled. (I really wasn’t, but I couldn’t back down now.)
His electric razor started buzzing and he slid it across the top of my head. Clumps of hair fell down my face. I loved my hair. I loved how long it had gotten, but just to make sure I looked totally different, I had to go bald.
It didn’t take long for him to buzz me clean. He stepped back to have a look. “Very hot,” he said.
“I’ll take your word for it,” I mumbled.
“Now the beard.”
“Wait!” I shouted. “I know we talked about that, but can’t I please keep…”
“Nope. The last time you were spotted, you had a beard. Now, we’re just gonna keep the mustache.”
I didn’t argue. This was what we’d already decided. We were going for a total transformation.
It took him longer to shave my cheeks and chins than it took him to shave my head. When he was finished, he pulled off the hair-covered towel and gave me a kiss. I could tell by his expression that he liked my new look. He really liked it.
He grabbed a hand-mirror so I could see myself.
I loved my reflection. Without my beard, the slab of fat that had replaced my neck was on full display. The mustache made me look quite manly, and the bald head made me look ten years older than I was. I was truly and completely a different person now.
Ed helped me stand and I lumbered over to the dresser to grab a shirt.
“Wear this one,” he said, handing me a black tank top. "It'll show off your arms." He helped me pull it on. He was biting his lip, clearly happy with my overall look.
I saw my reflection in the full-length mirror behind him. My huge tank top mostly covered my sloping gut, though a bit of my overhang was still visible in the front. Nothing was covering up my thick arms, so all my tattoos were visible. I’d gotten sleeves a few months back, all food-related. Donuts, cake slices, and all sorts of desserts decorated my arms in black ink. (Ed’s cousin was a tattoo artist, and she did an amazing job.)
The image staring back at me filled me with such pride. I was gorgeous. I’d made myself gorgeous. And best of all, I looked absolutely nothing like my skinny self. I was all man now.
Ed wrapped his arms around me. “I can’t wait to show you off.”
“It’s now or never.”
It had been six long months since my last trip outside. I knew that Uncle Ramon’s men had stopped watching the building months ago, but I wouldn’t leave until I felt big enough. As of last Sunday, when I tried and failed to tie my own shoes, I finally did. It had been a long, stomach-bursting journey to get here. Now it was time for the ultimate test.
“Ready for some Mexican food?” Ed asked.
“Starving.”
***
Walking down the stairs was a definite challenge. It was hard to keep my balance with my gut thudding against my thighs, but I took my time and made it to the ground floor.
It was winter now, and cold wind blew from the waterfront. Ed needed a jacket, but I definitely didn’t. His mom and sister met us in front of the restaurant to wish me luck. His mom gave me a little moon pie as a good-luck gift. I gobbled it up immediately, which made her smile.
Then we started our long, slow walk down the street.
People stared at me from all directions. That unnerved me a little bit. I had to keep telling myself that they were looking at me because of my size, not because they recognized me.
Ed had his hand across my lower back, both to keep me steady and to show everyone that I was his.
About halfway to the restaurant, we stopped so I could catch my breath on a bench. I felt a little cold now, but only because I was sweating. It was a weird sensation. Ed sat next to me and reached under my tank top to play with my belly fat a little.
“In public?” I asked, more bemused than embarrassed.
“Why not? People are already looking anyway.”
That was an understatement. It’s crazy to think that I used to be known for my ability to sneak around undetected. Now, all eyes were on me, staring at the flesh of my lower belly peeking out from under my shirt, staring at the food tattoos across my flabby arms. I was attention-grabbing, not because I was so fat, but because I looked like a guy who took pride in my fat.
Guilty as charged.
When my breath had finally gone back to normal, I turned to Ed. “Let’s go. I’m wasting away.”
He pulled me to my feet and we continued walking to Senora Reina’s.
Once we reached the restaurant, Ed held the door open, I took a deep breath (for confidence) and waddled inside.
This was my big test. I knew that I’d see some of the Family inside. I was about 90% confident that they wouldn’t recognize me, but I still had this fear in the pit of my wobbly gut that they’d see past the layers and layers of fat.
I had to do this, though. It was my only way to truly know if I was completely free from my old life. I walked inside and steadied myself against the wall until the hostess led us to a table in the back. There were plenty of options near the window, but I had the distinct feeling that she didn’t want pedestrians to see a muscle-less blob like me stuffing myself. Whatever.
I sat very carefully on the chair. It didn’t break, thankfully. Didn’t even creak under my weight.
Ed sat across from me, smiling. “I’m so proud of you."
I smiled back. Then I started looking around the room. I was here for a reason.
The restaurant was half-full, but I didn’t recognize anyone from the Family. It was half past noon. There should’ve been at least a couple familiar faces eating chips and whispering about business.
“Anyone?” Ed whispered.
“Nope. I’m surprised.”
Relieved, too.
The hostess came back with chips and bean dip. I dug in right away. I didn’t bother looking at the menu. I knew Ed was going to order for me.
By the time the waitress came over to take our order, the chips and dip were finished. Ed started listing off all the entrees we would need when the front door opened and Miguel walked in. He looked older than before. More hunched. He kept his head down and mumbled something to the hostess.
Our waitress stopped listening to Ed’s order and shouted in Spanish across the room. “We won’t serve you here! You know this!”
Miguel didn’t even look up. He spun around and rushed outside like a dog that had just been kicked.
“Who was that?” I asked the waitress.
She shrugged. “Just some criminal. He and his family used to sell drugs all over the city.”
“Used to?” I asked.
“Yeah, the guy in charge got busted a few weeks ago. Ramon. He used to be a regular. He and pretty much everyone in his gang are locked up now. Except that guy.” She nodded toward the front door, where Miguel had scurried off. “He cooperated with the police, so they let him off the hook. Not welcome here, though.”
“Wow,” I said.
“Well, good riddance,” Ed chimed in, giving me a knowing look. Then he finished our massive order and the waitress left.
Now that it was just the two of us, I reached across the table and grabbed Ed’s hands. “You know what this means, don’t you?”
“You’re free!”
“I’m free. And since the cops aren’t looking for me, and my family’s all locked up, I don’t need to hide anymore. I can finally get back in shape.”
His face went blank. It took three long seconds for him to realize that I was joking. Then he burst out laughing. I did, too.
The truth was, I hadn’t just changed my body. I’d changed my entire life. And now, Ed and I could live together without any fear of the past. And with him by my side, I could keep growing. Not to hide myself, but to build myself. Bigger and happier by the day.
The End

matthew sturniolo,
woke up the following morning in a frenzy. being one of four boys, his mom implemented a strict morning routine when the triplets started kindergarten, that they have been following right up until now, their senior year of high school. this morning however, matt was awoken about five minutes before he had to leave to the sound of chris and nick’s yelling to hurry his ass up. matt scrambled to pick out whatever clothes he could find, a pair of grey nike sweats and a fuzzy brown hoodie, and hurried downstairs to brush his teeth at record breaking speed before he was out the door heading the the mini van.
as he was throwing his and his brothers hockey bags into the trunk, he caught a glimpse of addilyn leaving her house and starting to walk down the block to the bus stop. as if his thoughts were being read, chris out loud wondered “what senior is still taking the bus?”
before matt could even open his mouth to make a rude comment, nick was already calling her over to offer a ride.
“dude what the fuck,” matt muttered under his breath to nick as addilyn approached the van, “i don’t wanna drive her.”
addilyn’s appearance totally switched from what she was wearing when matt saw her last night. her slim fitting dress was swapped out for a pair of mom jeans and an oversized sweater, her curly brown hair held back by a clip. “are you sure?” she breathed, looking at nick, “i’m okay with taking the bus, really.”
“we don’t mind at all, do we matt?” nick smiled through gritted teeth, nudging his brother in the arm.
“we don’t have time to mind,” chris interrupted them, climbing into the passenger seat, “we’re gonna be late.”
matt huffed, telling addilyn she could sit in the back seat with nick. he quickly plugged his phone into the aux cord, playing circles by mac miller as he backed out of the driveway and made his way to school.
*₊˚ 𓂃✧
it was only fourth period, and matt was already pissed off. the start to his day had been thrown off by waking up so late, and addilyn richardson being in his van this morning did not help one bit. he wasn’t sure what it was about that girl that bothered him so much. maybe it was the way she shut out the world by indulging herself in a book or in a drawing she was working on. or maybe it was the way her curls would stick up and fly away from the rest of her hair sometimes making her look like a mad scientist. or maybe it was the way she was the only girl who didn’t pay one ounce of attention to him. being the school’s best hockey player alongside his two other triplet brothers definitely made matt one of the most popular guys in school. he never had any trouble when it came to girls, because all of them already wanted him. except addilyn.
get yourself together man, she’s weird matt thought to himself as he entered his physics class, sitting next to his best friend nate. as he plopped his backpack down beside his friend, matt looked up at the white board and read in all big letters:
PARTNER PROJECT ON ENERGY OF MOTION - DUE IN TWO WEEKS
matt and nate grinned at each other, beginning making plans to pair up. the bell rang, and the teacher began to lecture. matt pulled out his notebook, already struggling to follow along with his teacher’s presentation. he had never been a straight a student, but he needed to keep his grades decent to stay on all his teams. however, physics was bringing his overall average down, and he needed to do well on this project to be able to start in his upcoming hockey games.
as the class made its way to an end and the students began to pack up, the teacher started to explain the project. “it’s quite simple really,” he began as he was erasing his notes from the board, “you and a partner will pick your own type of demonstration to show how kinetic energy is used in everyday objects.”
“this project will be worth a quarter of this semester’s overall grade, for both you and your partner, so it is crucial you all do well on this.” he explained, looking directly at matt. “before i let you all leave, i will be assigning your partners.” the entire class groaned.
he pulled out his class roster and began reading off names paired together.
“alexa and william… michelle and quincy… peter and xaiver… isabelle and ryan…”
please let me be with nate, matt thought. please let me be with nate. please let me be with nate.
“matthew and addilyn… louise and theresa… nathan and catie…”
no fucking way. of course addilyn was matt’s partner. he didn’t even know she was in his class. he looked around, annoyance written all over his face and he locked eyes with the curly headed girl sitting in the back of the room. she didn’t look too pleased either.
“this is an out of class project, so i suggest you start working on this asap.” the teacher announced just as the bell was ringing.
matt headed straight for the door when he felt a small tap on his shoulder. “what?” he snapped, looking down at the girl who tapped him.
“sorry,” addilyn said in a hushed voice, “its just- do you want to work on the project after school? we can go to my house, or i can come to yours or-”
“yeah, thats fine.” matt cut her off, walking out of the classroom, trying to shake her and walk with nate.
“which one?” she called out to him, her voice barely above a whisper.
“my house, but don’t expect anymore free rides from me. take the bus home.” matt told her angrily. she simply nodded and let him walk away from her, watching as he laughed with his friends in the hallway.

it was currently 3:30p.m., and matt was sitting at his kitchen table waiting for addilyn to come over. he had his laptop and textbook open, with messily written notes scattered all across the table. he found out later on in the school day that if he failed physics this semester, not only would be not be starting in his games, he would be benched for the rest of his hockey season. so to say he was stressed about this project was an understatement. he was broken out of his thoughts when he heard a tiny knock at the door, yelling for one of his brothers let addilyn in.
she wasn’t too excited about this project either, to be quite frank. but not for the same reasons as matt. addilyn simply hated working with others. she felt her quiet and introverted nature caused her to not work well when came to partner projects, so she typically opted to do these assignments alone. she even tried emailing her physics teacher after class, begging for him to let her work alone. he insisted that this was a two-person project for a reason, and told addilyn to stick it out. so here she was, at 3:30 on a monday, in matt sturniolo’s kitchen.
addilyn wasn’t sure why matt didn’t like her very much, but she wasn’t exactly is number one fan either. all the girls in the school loved matt. star hockey player, good looking, what wasn’t there to like about him? addilyn never looked at people surface level, though. she was a hardcore people watcher, mainly due to the fact she was almost always alone. she saw right through matt’s act and knew he was mean. she wasn’t sure how on earth he was related to nick and chris. they had only started talking a day ago, and she was greeted with smiles and waves every time she passed one of them that day. nick had even gone as far as switching his seat in art to sit next to addilyn. “i never liked sitting by the window, he had told her, “it’s always too drafty.”
addilyn quietly put her belongings down at the chair opposite from matts things, trying her best to be careful and not do anything to piss off matt even more. she was already on edge having to work one on one with him in his own house. matt didn’t even bother to look up at her. he mumbled a small “hi” as be started to type away on his laptop. addilyn pulled her belongings out, a stark contrast to matt’s. her notes were all written perfectly, with all the t’s crossed and i’s dotted, in a small cursive font that looked identical to if it were typed. matt took slight note of this.
“how do you write so neatly?” he genuinely asked, then realized he sounded nice, following up with “you probably so much free time on your hands because you have no friends” after addilyn told him quietly she re-writes her notes during lunch.
addilyn simply rolled her eyes. “i came here to work on the project, matt, not to take shit from you.”
“besides,” she started “we both get the same grade on this, and i am not letting you fuck up my gpa just because you want to be a dick to me.”
“it’s not like i can afford a bad grade on this either, sweetheart.” matt shot back at her.
sweetheart. why did her stomach suddenly feel weird?
stop it addy, she told herself, it’s matt, for crying out loud.
addilyn scoffed and began to look through her notes. “what were you thinking we do the project about?”
“i was hoping you could just do all the work.” matt had replied, blunt and matter-of-factly.
“what?” addilyn said in shock, dumfounded.
“what do you mean, what?, i don’t know shit about physics, you do. plus, i know you hate to work on these kinds of things with other people, so why don’t you do it alone?” matt told her.
she was in shock. had he really noticed i always work alone? she thought.
stop addy. he knows you work alone because you’re always doing things alone. it isn’t rocket science to connect the two.
before she could open her mouth to reply, chris came downstairs into the kitchen, grabbing a pepsi from the fridge. a smile grew on addilyn’s face as she said hi to him.
“no way, you and addy got paired together for this project?” chris gawked at matt, looking between him and addilyn.
“you’re so lucky, dude,” he continued, taking a swig of the soda, “justin told me he did this project when he was a senior, and everyone did so bad. thank god your partner is like, one of the top ten students in our class, or your senior season would have been shot.”
matt simply looked at chris. he was right, this shit was hard. he looked between the paper and addilyn a few times, before asking “where do we start?”
‎*₊˚ 𓂃✧
addilyn and matt ended up working until about 7:30 that night. his mom even insisted she stayed for dinner too.
“really sweetie, i don’t mind. i’m already feeding four kid’s, what’s one more?” she laughed.
“yeah addy, stay with us for dinner, please?” nick somewhat whined, dragging out the “e” sound.
addilyn gave in, and joined the sturniolo’s for dinner the second day in a row. like the previous night, dinner was filled with chatter from nick and chris, and radio silence coming from matt’s end. instead of giving her mean looks like he did at the previous dinner they shared, he just started at his plate the whole night and picked at his food.
“sorry about matt again,” chris apologized as he and nick began walking addilyn back next door to her house, “i don’t know whats been up with him lately.”
“it’s fine, really.” addilyn said. people being mean to her, or making rude remarks, was not out of the ordinary for her. she heard small whispers in passing everywhere she went. she was just used to it. “i’m glad you and nick are nice at least.”
chris just smiled at her and nick gave her a quick side hug. “we’re glad you’re nice, too, addy.”
the trio got to the front door, and addilyn gave them a small wave goodnight before she turned on her heel to walk into her home and upstairs. the boys walked back over to their house, noticing matt had already gone upstairs and disappeared to his room. he was sat at his desk, writing in his journal, when he noticed the light in the window across from his turned on. he saw addilyn set her book bag down, and sit at her mirror undoing her hair. he couldn’t help but to think how pretty she looked.
she’s weird, matt, he reminded himself, and you don’t even like her.
he sighed, closing his journal, and getting up to pull his blinds down to try to clear his head from the girl. out of sight out of mind. he saw her give a small smile, and he returned it by giving her a death stare, yanking the blinds down.
he got into bed, tossing and turning all night about this project with addilyn. he didn’t want to work on it with her, let alone even be nice to her, but he had to for chris and nick’s sake. they only started talking to her yesterday for god’s sake, and were already acting like they’ve been best friends since birth. matt knew these next two weeks of working on the project with addilyn everyday were going to be long.

about Soliel or Luch, my tbhx sona :D
Tumblr media
She is indie animator who posts online and helps Joy find leaks about heroes and get in/out of places At the stream a joke got rounds what she sees animation everywhere cause of how naturally dynamic comes in her mind.
This is how it started.
When she was riding in bus home, suddenly a flash of colours and shapes ran across her eyes and she saw him. The X. As soon as she made an eye contact with a guy, the 2nd snap was heard and world became normal.
At first she thought it’s a daydream
But turned out it was her new power. She can differentiate 2D and 3D basically. Actually in 2D she can manipulate herself and objects IF she manages to think of a right dynamic in her head. But if not, the drawbacks may include ankle sprain to even broken leg or arm.
A lot of times it feels like you try to turn car left but your wheel going right while you are going on high speed. Also she can’t switch between 2D/3D herself. So basically her power is very specific.
At the moment she tries her best to keep up with a lot of things in life..
With Joy, she hopes to find X and ask about such powers because as it seems The Guy is the only person who would understand their power. Smth like that, thanks for reading!! If u have any questions I would love to answer!!!

vehicle headcanons bc im like. so bored
Lenore 100% rides a motorcycle, most likely a Harley or a Triumph. She enjoys a good street race, but only on remote roads that have been marked off and never spontaneously or on high ways. She used to do stunts with dirt bikes and atv's before her injury, but it plays hell with her hip now, so she just rides standard. She doesn't drive much, but if she had to get a car, it'd be a classic muscle car like a Firebird. She's an offensive driver insofar as she's more than willing to take a fender bender to prove a point and she will chase a bitch down if they run. Only if it's just her in the car, though. She mostly drives one-handed and rests her right hand on the console (or Annabel's thigh). She does enjoy cruising in a car but not as much as feeling Annabel hug her from behind on a bike
Annabel's ride would be Lenore a Cadillac, Porsche, and an Audi. She switches them out as the occasion calls for it. Her father bought all three. She trades them in for the lastest models every five years or earlier bc she couldn't be caught dead in a model that's gone out of style. People assume she likes being chauffeured around, but being in a vehicle she has no direct control of gives her hives, so 9 times out 10, she's going to be the one driving. The only people she trusts on the wheel are Prospero and Lenore. Very defensive driver bc she's always thinking 20 steps ahead and can smell bullshit from a mile away. She tells people she prefers convertibles for the visibility, but she really just likes watching Lenore hop over the door into the passenger seat.
Ada would sell her soul for a bright pink Porsche. Unfortunately, a brand new one is def out of her price range, and every time she buys a used one that she can afford, it craps out in like five months or so. She's forced to settle on a lightest burgundy Camry she can find at some point and she's bitching about it to everyone that can hear. She is the most godawful driver you will ever see. Road rage like no other. For years, she thought turn signals were a useless formality until a horrified Prospero told her otherwise. The fact that she has a license is the eighth wonder of the world (her tester was severely hungover). She keeps subtly asking to borrow Annabel's Porsche, but Anna just smiles and changes the subject.
Pluto has a crappy little Beetle that he stole from his dad, and to separate it from him would be to cut his heart out with a rusty butter knife. He's also a defensive driver but not in the same way Anna is. He's just very hyperaware of everything, which is great for snap reactions but can cause him to overreact sometimes. Does not play music or take his eyes off the road ever bc he's scared of getting distracted. Prefers taking mainroads bc high way speeds makes him nervous. He loves his car, but he'll typically just take the bus for short distances. The only time he's even marginally relaxed while driving is when his friends are with him, especially Eulalie.
Montessori has a Mustang, and he drives it like an asshole. I'm talking tailgating, cutting, muffler delete, zero turn signal whatsoever, always going at least twenty over, racing randoms on the highway etc etc. Rarely gets road rage, but causes it on a daily basis. One of his favorite plays is talking someone into a race, losing on purpose, betting money on a second race, and smoking their ass with his turbocharger. Yes, his car is kitted with every mod known to man, and yes, it does look like a douchebag owns it. He keeps trying to goad Lenore into a race, and she keeps rejecting him bc 1. She knows his schemes, and 2. She's not entirely convinced he won't try to run her over.
Eulalie prefers not to drive and doesn't own a car. It took forever to get her license bc she's so easily distracted that she's at risk of drifting into other lanes and/or hitting something. She did manage to get it eventually, but having to be constantly vigilant stresses her out, so she just bikes/skates (skateboarder Eulalie real) or uses public transit or grabs a ride from a friend. Despite everything, she's actually a very good and courteous driver when she's paying attention. She stops for pedestrians, bikers, ducks on the road, and so on. Her driving style is very smooth and steady in a way that could lull you to sleep. Until she has to slam the breaks to avoid sailing into oncoming traffic. She thinks it'd be really cool to own a Hearse with a black/purple color scheme, though. She shares a bus pass with Pluto
(Pt.2 cuz this got too long)

Rooftops & Alleys: The Parkour Game Releases at Full Speed
Tumblr media
Rooftops & Alleys: The Parkour Game launches onto Steam Deck and Linux, bringing massive maps and non-stop parkour action via Windows PC. All thanks to the creative minds at MLMEDIA, the vision truly comes to life with style and energy.  Which you can find on Steam with 89% Very Positive reviews. Picture this: sunlight glinting off metal railings, the distant thrum of city traffic, and you— poised on the edge of a skyscraper, heart hammering, knees bent, ready to fly. That rush? That’s exactly what Rooftops & Alleys: The Parkour Game bottles up and pours straight into your veins. After a wild year tearing up Steam Early Access—and selling nearly 200 000 copies in the process—the full release has finally landed on PC, completely Verified for Steam Deck along with Linux love. Credit where it’s due: solo-dev wizard Michel Losch crafted the core experience. And now fresh-faced indie publisher RADICAL THEORY has teamed with ML MEDIA and SHINE GROUP to blast it onto even bigger stages. It's electric. The promise? Freedom.
Flow or Go? Why Not Both
Hardcore parkour folks know the eternal debate: speed-running from A to B (parkour) versus styling it up with spins, flips, and mind-bending trick lines (freerunning). Rooftops & Alleys: The Parkour Game also laughs at the debate and hands you both on a silver platter. One minute you’re gunning for a record-shattering time trial, while the next you’re chaining backflips, corks, and wall kongs into score-chasing combos. Six launch maps also keep the scenery fresh—subway roofs humming at midnight, neon-lit skylines, dusty Mediterranean lanes, you name it. Each one hides a unique spread of time trials and trick challenges, so boredom never gets a foothold. Nail a slick vault over a gap? Feel the adrenaline meter climb. Fill it, pop it, and a speed boost kicks in right when your palms start sweating. Mis-time a trick? Stall your combo with a mid-air tweak, due to clutch those sweet, sweet points.

Feathers, Fits & Your Feathery Friend
Progress isn’t just about leaderboards. Complete challenges, score feathers, and unlock more than a hundred cosmetic items for both your avatar and—yes—your pigeon. Not a typo. Your little avian sidekick doubles as free-cam, session marker, and “How on earth do I get up there?” scout. Find the pigeon hidden in every map and you can swap into bird’s-eye mode on command. While swooping through vents and over rooftops to scope out new lines (or just photobomb your friends).
Rooftops & Alleys: The Parkour Game Lets You Squad Up or Show Off Solo
Some days you crave zen solo flow; while other days you need the chaos only friends can bring. Hop into freeroam multiplayer for chill sessioning, or flip the switch to pulse-spiking modes like TAG, Capture The Flag, and the score-hungry Tricks Battle. When the sweat dries, boot up the beefed-out photo mode — due to complete with the mischievous Doll-Mode—to freeze airborne hero shots or craft meme-worthy fails in glorious high-rez.
Ready to Leap?
The controls click in seconds, yet mastery sits miles away, also taunting you from a rooftop you haven’t even noticed—yet. Linux gamers, fear not: Proton handles the back-flip without breaking a sweat, and Steam Deck users can grind rails on the bus. So lace up, loosen those shoulders, and join a community already obsessed with ever-better lines. Rooftops & Alleys: The Parkour Game isn’t just a launch; it’s also an invitation. An open-ended dare to break the city wide open and write your own story one wall run at a time. That you can find on Steam for Steam Deck and Linux via Windows PC. Priced at $24.99 USD / £20.99 / 24,99€.

CHARACTER
Personality: Juliette is portrayed as a social butterfly and outgoing, easily making friends, as she is a loyal, friendly, generous, and tries her hardest not to upset them. Juliette is a very passionate, bubbly, kind-hearted lady and never has any bad intentions or will. She's often mistaken for an air-head due to this, but she uses this for her advantage.
When Irene is not present or lost her temper, she's the mediator of the team and often gets the twins to behave. She often keeps the peace as she sees each side of the argument and always has the party meet in the middle.
Juliette is a fashion enthusiast, she's gifted in sewing, and usually prepared in case of a fashion emergency or disaster. Though, she can be a little too enthusiastic when it comes to shopping and faints when she sees a 'fashion calamity', Juliette is still wise with money and will help the person with their fashion problem. She loves expressing herself through her outfits and accessories. She has a keen eye for style and enjoys sharing her fashion tips with her friends. She's also has fondness of cosplaying and gets really into character.
She has an optimistic outlook on life, always looking for the silver lining in any situation. This optimism helps her to overcome challenges and support her friends and team. Juliette, along with Irene, are the most intelligent of the second years on the team, particularly in math and chemistry. In contrast of her appearance, she's both a skilled mechanic and soap maker. She often watches DIY videos on how to fix cars and everyday appliances, even fixing the team's bus when they were on they're way to a game. In terms of soap making, she loves to experimenting on different scents and often gifts them to family and friends. She despises being seen as a 'dumb blonde' due to stereotypes, buts loves the shocked looks on their faces when she proves them wrong.
Despite being seen as 'Princess' to Irene's 'Witch', Juliette is extremely skilled, efficient, and ruthless. Contrary to her slim frame, Juliette possesses monstrously superhuman physical abilities and she switches into a cold and calculating demeanor when danger is present, showcasing her lethal combat abilities and precision.
Having to met Oomimi during a cosplay convention during her first overseas trip, she developed a crush on him and kept in touch ever since. Her feelings deepen during her first year in Inarizaki and spending time with him again. Though she always flirts with him, she gets shy when he flirts back, covering her face with her hands or burying her face on his chest. She loves and cares deeply for him and rarely gets jealous, but sometimes she's insecure if her personality can be too much for him.
Likes: Family and friends, Ren, fashion, cute stationeries, ballet, music, surprising others with her intelligence, maroilles cheese tart, chainsaws, slime, shopping.
Dislikes: Being called a 'dumb blonde' or 'bimbo', the twins being too rowdy, entitled and toxic fangirls, entitled people, her height being emphasized, people thinking she'll be rude or a gold digger, cheating of any kind, dramas where they take back the toxic ex, cilantro, stereotypes, low quality shoes.
Hobbies: Ballet, soap making, cooking, taekwondo, kickboxing, fencing, pilates, ice skating, roller skating, cosplaying, puzzles, reading, mechanical tinkering, sewing.
Goal(s): Finding out what she wants in life, and marrying Ren.
Current concerns: Ren finding out all the shirtless pictures she took of him.

Hold on till May
PART 1 He always sat by the window. The fast clatter of the train wheels – his heart was now beating slowly and calmly. The cherry blossoms gave way to the soft curves of green valleys. The sun switched everything to a high-brightness mode. Jungkook leaned his head against the heated glass and felt the speed vibrating in his body.
Mother? Did she search for him? The boy had been with her for so long that he seemed to be going crazy. The smell of unknown medicines had not yet washed off his hands, his beloved voice had not yet washed out of his memory.
He was leaving abruptly. The city saw him off with the first thunderstorm, an unexpected thaw, and a white petal of an unknown flower caught on the fabric of an old coat. It was surprisingly quiet inside, he had probably cried everything out. In the back rows, the melody of someone's long-familiar violin barely passed through the hissing radio waves.
There were only a few people in the entire carriage. In the next row, a cheerful little girl was clutching the hands of her dozing grandmother. Behind her, two teenagers were asleep leaning on each other's shoulders. Somewhere by the door, holding tightly to the handrails, an old man was weakly peering at the name of the next stop. But Jungkook didn't need to. He was riding without a destination. Just to look at everything one last time.
The train stopped. Jungkook saw the old man carefully step onto the platform and hand a basket of vegetables to the girl who was meeting him. A half-empty station, leading the rare travelers along the only narrow path to the low houses of the town to which he would never return. A station where he would never be able to get off again.
The events of a year ago flashed before his eyes like a veil. In the middle of April, he sat on this very bench near the dilapidated station building. He was drenched and chilled by the icy rain and frightened by the screaming lightning in the dark gray sky. He saw a shadow of himself from the past: lost in a light windbreaker, with his last coin spent on a useless call in a phone booth.
In this mirage, a stranger's hand fell on his shoulders, just like it had done only a couple of weeks ago. He raised his tear-stained eyes to a young guy in an old coat, who was covering him with a child's umbrella. The little pink thing with the pictures of lollipops was not enough for both of them, and cold drops fell on the stranger's back.
"Why are you crying? Are you lost? Or did you miss the train? Then, stop crying," the boy didn't wait for his answer. "Let's run to the bus stop, you can get to the city much cheaper from there."
“My bag was stolen, and all my money was in there, and then there was a thunderstorm, and I…” Jungkook threw up his hands and cried louder, pressing his back into the clogged wood.
The boy only smiled in response and gently pulled Jungkook by the sleeve where he hid his frozen palms. The boy was carefully covering Jungkook's already wet hair with a clumsy children's umbrella, while he was cautiously following him to the bus stop. There, without further objection, he pushed the still quietly sobbing boy into the only bus at the deserted station, bought a ticket from the old conductor, who kindly patted him on the shoulder, and, before running out of the bus, which was starting up, he said:
"It's going to get warmer in here, so take off your jacket and boots," a gentle smile reflected again in his wide-open eyes. "They're wet, it's better not to catch a cold. Please, don't forget, otherwise you'll get sick!"
He opened his funny pink umbrella and, without giving him a chance to say thank you, waved goodbye, disappearing into the blurry landscape of fresh April foliage outside the window.
Jungkook moved back to Gangwon Province just a couple of weeks ago. This picturesque corner, soaked in the salt of the noisy surf, the sweet flowers of Seoraksan Park and a cozy pile of childhood memories, was his homeland. And the homeland of his mother, who finally decided to get a divorce. The woman woke up one June morning, threw half-empty bottles of unfinished alcohol into the trash bin, packed nine years into three suitcases, helped her son calmly say goodbye to the loved ones, and right before the train station filed a long-awaited lawsuit.
“Jungkook, this is liberation,” the woman gently rocked him in her arms, kissing his temple from time to time. “You know that we tried, but were unable to help him."
Jungkook knew that his father's illness had robbed them of enough. It had taken away their family, committed a crime against someone who was now just a name on his birth certificate, humiliated and mocked them. Pity had turned to hatred, and with it, everything that had been valuable seemed trivial. The school with the best grades, the boy he liked, the cherished family piano in the kitchen, the arcade with free slots on Saturday nights. Every memory was filtered: a nasty dirty-yellow sepia with the smell of vomit and the bruises on his pale arms.
If he had to move to the other end of the country to hide from the disease, he was willing to do so. And he hid. He looked at the city streets from the station window for just a minute, turned around and started again. Someone else's symptoms allowed it.
But, as it turned out, some were much less lucky. For these few, even a flight to another planet did not solve anything.
His mother woke him up, asleep on her lap in the stuffy silence of the night bus, already on the approach to Sokcho. The dawn was breaking in yellow flashes over the clamorous sea, and the cherry trees were setting their buds in the courtyards of the coastal houses. He was tired and cold. He wanted to get lost in the endless valleys on the horizon and fall asleep under a blanket of dew on last year's grass. But the blue road sign had already welcomed them "home."
They were indeed going home. The Jeon family estate, where his grandparents used to live, now belonged to his mother's sister, her husband, and their two children, little Jihyo and his peer Hoseok. He was on good terms with the cousins, and he honestly considered Hoseok to be his very close friend. They didn't just send candies as gifts once a year on Christmas Eve but regularly called each other even for all sorts of trifles. Only recently the boy called too rarely, and when Jungkook managed to catch his voice against the background of his aunt's conversation with his mother, it sounded weak and forlorn. Unfortunately, they saw each other indecently seldom. So meeting them now was especially joyful and exciting.
Auntie Jeon greeted them without asking any questions. She warmed them up, fed them, and kissed them. She didn't care about the early hour and helped them unpack the necessary things herself. That is how it must be done in a loving family.
"Cookie, I put a towel for you in the bathroom, just ask your mom to get you some pajamas, otherwise Hoseok's things..." the woman looked through the neat stacks of multi-colored T-shirts in the dresser, unfolded one with a trembling gesture. "... will be too small."
She paused to look at it. The slightly faded yellow fabric with black lettering was folded very carefully in her hands as if it might suffer from careless creases. Auntie carefully pushed the drawer shut and straightened the bed in the attic room. Here, by the desk, hung the variety of shiny sticker notes, movie tickets, postcards, and drawings. In the corner, there stood an old rocking chair with a mountain of cushions in every shade of green, and next to it a full-length floor mirror in a shabby gold frame. A canopy of satin tulle was stretched over the large double bed, and from the half-open window, just behind the headboard, the endless sea was visible.
It was Hoseok's room. Surprisingly clean and somehow empty.
Auntie Jeon was humming something under her breath, fluffing up the pillow in a sky-blue pillowcase:
"It's insane how much you've grown, Cookie," she smiled at him, just like in childhood, and turned on a tiny night light, swirling the shadows of shells and starfish across the gloom of the wooden walls.
The boy leaned into her touch, like a kitten seeking affection, and asked:
"Where's Hoseok? Does he mind that I take over his room today?"
The woman looked into his eyes somehow kindly, condescendingly, with the same smile that he always remembered on her face. A warm palm once again gently stroked his cheek:
"Go to bed, little bunny, we'll talk about everything tomorrow."
The heavy door closed with a cozy creak, the body steamed after the hot water sank into the freshness of soft bed linen, and the disappearing shadows of the sea faded in the first rays of the spring sun. And tomorrow came after only five hours of deep sleep.

what happened to Mateo after the race? how is the racing scene reacting to this multiple-growth-spurts change? was he taken to a research station for intense study? actually you said hes the size of a space colony now, let me re-ask. IS he the research station for intense study?
This is a follow-up to Star☆Racer D so if you're curious about what lead to this, you should check that story out first...
[Link to story]
His mid-race growth spurt has caused a lot of uproar not just in the orbital racing community but also in the scientific one. What happened shouldn't even be physically possible.
The growth process has a mixture of factors that determine the end size. Nanomachines definitely help speed the process along, but there's a purely biological factor too. The nanos fuse with the cells which causes the cells to multiply which causes the nanomachines to multiply. It's a sort of exponential recursive function that happens, but there's a finite limit to how big someone can get. The nanos basically force a high level of cellular regeneration. There gets to be a point where the the entirety of the nanos healing powers are going towards maintaining the health of the subjects current size and can no longer sustain additional growth. So to put it another way, someone's end size is a matter of how healthy their cells are and how well they maintain consistency during the multiplication process. If something gets too big, it starts to reach a point where the body's natural healing can no longer maintain the size and so the nanos have to switch from grow mode to stasis mode.
As mentioned in the story, each person reacts to the process differently. Some people get freighter sized schlongs. Some people get dicks that are only a few feet. The smallest racer had a cock that was the size of a motorcycle, and it wasn't uncommon for other races to have like bus-sized schlongs. There were several people that had cocks the size of barges, but even they were far outclassed by Mateo. Think the largest luxury liner known to man. That's how huge Mateo got. His cock dwarfed the entire research center that he was being grown in. He had so thoroughly outsized the projections that they had to literally pull the plug on him before his swelling schlong spilled out from the research campus and started bowling over nearby buildings.
It's still early in the research process, but many scientists believe that this is part of what caused him to grow again once in space. He had never reached the state of homeostasis that most racers hit. His growth had not reached its natural conclusion. He still had a good deal larger that he could have grown. His nanos were just shut down and the growth process forcibly stopped.
Even then, that doesn't account for his current size. He was already the largest racer when starting out. His dick was already over a quarter mile long, but then he grew by orders of magnitude. He went from filling a lane in the raceway to filling the entire race track! This is not a small track! Consider that some of the racers are the size of large vessels. The race track would have to be much wider than the Panama Canal! We're talking easily 500+ meters across at the finish line, and this dude more than doubled that width. The dude's dick was over half a mile wide and well over 2 miles long as it blew past the finish line.
They don't currently have the technology to get him back to earth. Or at least, not safely and definitly not to get him back off the planet. In theory, the nanos should keep him stable enough for reenty, but that's still a cock the size of the dino-obliterating astroid hitting the earth at mach speed. Even an ocean landing would cause flooding in coastal regions hundreds of miles around.
As such, a "temporary" research station has been assembled on his shaft. The energy coursing through his body keeps Mateo in a constant state of arousal, so his dick doesn't deflate, but that doesn't stop the tremors. The scientists have had to adjust to life with near constant earthquakes.
Scientists are at an impasse on what to do with him. One school says they should pump him full of energy and see how big he gets. He clearly didn't finish growing during the last race, and studying his physiology while he grows could help explain how and why he got so huge, but there's a sizeable group of scientists who oppose this idea. After all, they have already been poking and prodding at him and have forced subsequent growths. Each time he grows, the rate doesn't seem to diminish. He doesn't appear to be reaching a max size. This has prompted further debate and further study. Was he always going to get this big? Was he naturally predisposed to seemingly infinite growth? Or is there something with the process of starting and stopping his growth that is causing this.
One school of thought it that everytime they stop his growth before it finishes, he reaches a new "Base" state. He's basically starting the growth process all over again. As mentioned, he never reaches that state where his nanos are working around the clock just to maintain his size. His nanos are free to continue to multiply unchecked and strengthen his body's natural abilities. During the time between growth spurts, his nanos and his natural healing abilities merge making him uniquely suited to even more extreme growth spurts. This group believes that they either need to grow him now or not at all because the longer they wait to grow him, the more intense the next spurt will be.
The other school says that Mateo will never reach a "max" size. Or at least, if it does, his new max size will be so substantial that it would throw off the gravitational allignment of the planets in the solar system. They claim that if they are to attempt any more growth spurts, they need to move him far enough away from Earth that his unchecked growth will not dramatically impact life in the solar system.
Whatever the case may be, Mateo is pushing them to grow him sooner rather than later. The sooner these tests are over, the sooner he can get back to being a racer. He has wanted to be a racer his entire life. He wants to get back out on the circuit, and he doesn't want to risk causing another massive growth spurt while in the middle of a race again. Although, given that during his first race, he went from the size of a research facility to the size of Central Park and has grown significantly with each test, it's hard to say if he'll even be able to compete. He's no longer just bigger than the race track! He's closing in on the size of the entire circuit! How can other racers, with dicks the size of tanks or barges, compete with a vessel the size of Long Island!
They'd need to invent an entirely new weight class for him to compete in, and there is no one else currently large enough to be in it! ... not yet anyway.

Not my usual content but I need to get this out
Looooong post, read at your own risk. Danny Phantom vs Goku, DP vs Ben 10, and DP vs....Sun Wukong. Analyzing powers/abilities and weaknesses, and considering battle methods and circumstances of combat.
Danny Phantom solos everything. I don't mean "everything but goku" or "everything but ben 10", I mean -everything-
I'm gonna go over the big 3 fictional beings of ungodly power and explain how Danny bulldozes them all. Starting with everyone's favorite anime badass: Goku.
But before we go over anyone else, let's cover Danny's powerset:
Hybrid Physiology (immune to ghost-specific things in human form, immune to human-specific things in ghost form, vulnerable to certain things in both forms)
Super strength (easily lifted a 12-ton school bus)
Super speed (circled the earth easily in a VERY short time)
Super durability (Sustained damage from a being of god-like power and kept fighting in ghost form. Human form is incredibly durable as well, but only a fraction as durable as ghost form)
Super agility (Can perform acrobatic feats beyond the skill of the most experienced professionals in ghost form)
Super reflexes (is able to dodge ectoplasm blasts from other ghosts with ease, and caught an arrow fired at him with his bare hands near-effortlessly)
Super stamina (can function at absolute peak capacity for hours before becoming tired)
Supernatural Equilibrium (it's impossible to throw him off-balance. Either due to his flight or his agility, his equilibrium is incapable of being off)
Flight (or more accurately, gravity has no effect on his ghost form, allowing him to move freely through space)
Super regeneration (has reformed his entire body from a puddle of goo, survived severe punctures and slashes, and in ghost form can survive even more serious damage such as being bisected or large punctures due to ectoplasmic biology)
Transformation (Can switch between ghost and human forms at will)
Intangibility (incapable of physical contact, phasing through any and all solid matter. He can spread this to anyone or anything he is making contact with, allowing him to manipulate other intangible objects)
Invisibility (Can become undetectable by any and all visual senses/sensors, including but not limited to eyes, cameras, bioscans, etc. He is still visible on infrared, however.)
Interstellar Travel (has been shown to move through outer space at CONSIDERABLY HIGH speed without any aid, meaning his ghost form does not require oxygen and can survive, and navigate with ease, in the vacuum of space without special equipment)
Ghost Rays (can be manipulated into any shape/form and fired as a projectile, beam, or wave. Can be fired from ANY part of his body, not just extremities. Has been shown to be hot enough to melt steel, and often explodes on contact, and are powerful enough to destroy Ghosts [which are by nature supernaturally difficult to destroy] molecule by molecule)
Ecto-Energy Manipulation (Can channel the energy of his Ghost Rays into specific parts of his body to empower them greatly, allowing him to strike exponentially harder or use his hands/feet as blades to cleave through his target. Has been shown to be capable of easily piercing/slicing through steel)
Ecto-Energy Constructs (can form nearly anything he can think of by channeling his ghost ray energy into solid forms. Has been shown to form rings, discs, and shields which can either reflect or nullify energy attacks depending on what Danny wants)
Power Absorption (Can absorb powers and energy through his ghost shield, allowing him to use his enemy's abilities for a time, or to channel the energy of their attack into his own abilities)
Electrokinesis (can generate and manipulate electricity, as shown when he used it to charge the Fenton Thermos, and a few other times throughout the series. Often used as a Ghost Stinger)
Thermokinesis (Can generate exceedingly high temperatures, making anything he is touching as hot as he wishes)
Cryokinesis (Can generate exceedingly low temperatures, and generate ice at will. He can fire blasts of ice or solid ice constructs at will)
Pyrokinesis (Can generate ghostly fire to use as projectiles)
Aerokinesis (When split into two versions of himself, one was able to generate wind to cause his cape and hair to constantly flow as if there was wind even when in environments completely lacking in it)
Temperature Resistance (Due to thermokinesis and cryokinesis, Danny is EXTREMELY resistant, or even immune, to exeedingly high AND low temperatures. For fairness we will assume immune, as the vacuum of space had no impact on him at all)
Photokinesis (Can generate light from his hands at will)
Ghostly Wail (an incredibly powerful sonic wail capable of demolishing buildings, destroy many ghosts at once, and has a wide range while covering great distance)
Telekinesis (Can manipulate ecto-energy at a distance, allowing him to move objects with it. By extension, he is able to turn them invisible, intangible, or even restore them to pristine condition at will by channeling his powers into the energy surrounding the object or person)
Time Travel (through the use of the in-fi map and/or the time medallion, Danny is capable of traveling to any point in time he wishes and to any place he desires)
Overshadowing (Can take control of another person's body, manipulating them from within. Won't work without perfect concentration, or against those with strong wills)
Duplication (Can create copies of himself. His copies retain all of his powers and abilities, INCLUDING Duplication. However, if they collide together hard enough they do automatically fuse back together)
Spectral Body Manipulation (Can manipulate his body in all manner of ways, from stretching, growing and shrinking, bending and twisting beyond physical limitations, and creating holes in his body to allow projectiles to pass through, all the way to completely severing parts of his body from each other and reconnecting them at will)
Void Generation (Can draw all light into himself, leaving a room in complete and total darkness. He is able to see in this darkness with no difficulty)
Self-sustenance (Can survive indefinitely in environments with no source of food, water, or oxygen, by utilizing his ghost form. Ghost form Danny does not require food, water, or oxygen)
Rapid Learner (Has been shown to learn new abilities quickly after seeing them done, even without training, such as using the ghost shield mere hours after seeing Vlad do it for the first time, or obtaining the Ghostly Wail power ten years earlier than Dark Danny simply due to seeing Dark Danny perform it)
Indomitable Will (Immune to weaker forms of control, resistant to more powerful forms)
Skilled Tactician (able to quickly assess a situation and, in the heat of battle, plan out the most effective way to handle it)
Experienced combatant (has been facing near-indestructible enemies since he was 14, on a near-daily basis, as well as enemies as powerful or more powerful than himself. For this we'll assume it takes place just after the end of the series, giving him 2 years of experience, with an average of 2 battles per day [assuming most are smaller, weaker ghosts] to be safe given the frequency of the portals acting up)
Skilled marksman (landed a shot on medusa with his eyes closed, and has incredible precision with his ghost rays)
Emotional Empowerment (His powers are influenced, or even generated by, his emotions as shown when his ghost rays fired of their own accord out of fear at Desiree and when he manifested the Ghostly Wail for the first time in a fit of rage. His existing powers gain strength from potent emotion, and at times entirely new powers come into being due to strong emotion as well)
Technomancy (has been shown to be capable of Overshadowing technology and insert himself into it, either controlling it or becoming part of it at will)
And Danny's weaknesses:
All anti-ghost tech (in ghost form, these work exactly as intended on him, in human form they may detect him as a ghost but have very limited or even no effect on him)
Blood Blossoms (red flowers with innate anti-supernatural properties. They cause him extreme agony and leave him devoid of all ghostly powers)
Ecto-ranium (rare element with anti-ghost properties. Ghosts making contact with it feel extreme pain, and it is assumed colliding with it hard enough would destroy them)
Goku
Goku's powerset includes:
Energy Manipulation
Transformative Power Increase
Energy Sense
Super strength (on a cosmic scale)
Super speed (faster than light)
Super regeneration (healed from an energy blast to the heart in seconds due to transformation)
Hyper-acute senses (sight and smell honed to peak levels)
Hyperperception (can perceive and think at the same speed his body can move at
Zenkai Boost (exponential power increase on near-death survival)
Divine State (Mastered Ultra Instinct makes him near-impossible to hit)
Unbreakable Will (immune to all forms of psychic manipulation)
Mental Image Training (able to visualize and telekinetically connect with others for mental training, allowing him a mindscape in which to act)
Skilled Tactician (able to quickly assess a situation and, in the heat of battle, plan out the most effective way to handle it)
Experienced Combatant (Has been training and fighting consistently for decades, with his body being 39-40, and his mind being ~43 due to time spent dead. He trains near-constantly, and has decades of battle experience to draw on, including from time spent dead)
Skilled Marksman (has incredible precision with his energy attacks and melee strikes, even as accurate as to strike specific pressure points in the heat of battle)
Master martial artist (has trained with several masters in various fighting styles and techniques, leaving him with a wealth of methods to draw on)
Emotional empowerment (his strength, ki, and tenacity increase exponentially with emotion, granting him massive power increases in times of great emotion)
Ki Armor (Can use his ki like a protective layer around him, preventing attacks that would normally harm or kill him from making so much as a scuff mark)
And Goku's weaknesses include:
Limited Energy (can sustain Super Saiyan 1 and 2 indefinitely, but 3 and onward have increasingly heavy limitations to match their increasing level of power)
Cannot survive a vacuum
Vulnerable to exceedingly high/low temperatures (can survive contact with lava, but still retains an upper limit to how hot or cold he can handle)
To make this fair we'll put Danny at his absolute peak, and account for Goku being at HIS absolute peak (his strongest form, Mastered Ultra Instinct)
Goku loves to build up to the big moment, so we KNOW he would start in base. He would...pretty quickly realize Danny doesn't quite know how to "start small". Danny has never known a fight against a powerful opponent that WASN'T for his life. Er...lack of life? ....Half-life? Half-life 2: Fenton Boogaloo? He would be fighting for his life on instinct. Goku's base form is very powerful, but in Super it's mentioned by Beerus during the Battle of Gods arc that base form Goku STILL isn't strong enough to have killed Freeza. By the Moro arc this may have changed, so we'll assume base-form Goku is at least on-par with 100% Power Freeza.
Danny may not be as fast (which is going to be the real difficulty in fighting Goku) but he has something else going for him: he can fight at max power for HOURS without feeling the effects. By comparison, Goku can fight for hours in base form, Super Saiyan, and Super Saiyan 2. However, Super Saiyan 3 has a noticeable energy drain, and limits him to several minutes. This may have changed by the end of the Moro arc, so we'll assume SSJ3 can be used consistently for an hour before he's too weak to use it. Super Saiyan God is even more limited, with mere minutes before it's drained. Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (also known as Super Saiyan Blue) is further limited, and finally Mastered Ultra Instinct is more limited than that.
But despite all of Goku's powers and abilities, Danny has one simple set of powers that may win him the fight with ease. Goku is not used to fighting an opponent that can phase through his entire arsenal of attacks, and through him as well. Danny may be slower, but if Goku comes in close for a melee fight, Danny has a simple trick to win. Intangibility, invisibility. Turn invisible either partially (his arm+hand) or entirely (his whole body) and phase into Goku, pulling his organs with him as he phases out. Danny would, in character, never do something so brutal but it's not exactly in-character for these two to fight each other either, is it? Character personality has no place here. Only raw combat comparison. Goku does have ki sense, so invisibility may not be a true trump card, but he would only know where Danny is, not his exact movements. And assuming it became a battle of range, Danny's ecto-shield makes the fight entirely pointless, either redirecting, nullifying, or outright absorbing Goku's attacks. Ultimately, Danny has more endurance, greater durability, and his powerset makes him a major threat to all purely biological lifeforms thanks to his ability to simply fly through them and remove organs as he pleases. Goku does not have an answer (that I'm aware of) for an opponent like Danny. BY ALL MEANS CORRECT ME, THIS IS MY THOUGHTS AND I AM ABSOLUTELY DOWN FOR DISCUSSION! Change my mind, I want you to!
Conclusion: Goku can't defeat an opponent he can't touch, and he has no way of stopping Danny from using intangibility to remove critical organs. Even with transformations offering higher durability and faster healing, nothing will save him from the loss of his lungs. Danny, on the other hand, can survive being turned into a puddle, being bisected, punctured, and many other "fatal" injuries due to his ectobiology. It would either be a very short-lived fight with Danny holding Goku's lungs/heart in his hands, or a very long drawn out battle with Danny winning on endurance.
Ben 10
We'll assume Ben is unlimited in his access to the functions of the Omnitrix.
Ben 10's powers and abilities
Alien Forms (countless forms specialized for a wide variety of environments and situations)
Omnitrix Failsafe (instantly turns him into the alien most perfectly suited for surviving his current situation if he is dealt a fatal blow or in danger of dying)
Instantaneous transformation (his transformations happen instantaneously, and do not take time to occur)
Brilliant Tactician (Can assess a situation and form a plan to deal with it effectively and easily)
Universal Destruction (When the Failsafe fails, in the event of Ben's death the watch is set to self-destruct in an explosive manner powerful enough to destroy the universe)
Mental link to the Omnitrix (Can swap to/between alien forms with a thought)
Genetic scan (Can scan the biology of any living species and generate the peak physical example of that species, adding it to the arsenal of beings the watch can access)
Genetic Perfecting (Can simulate millions of years of the harshest conditions to turn a sample of a species into the most combative apex evolutions of themselves, creating more powerful versions of the samples already in the watch)
Innate Understanding (the watch grants ben full knowledge of every ability his new form is able to use, and how to use it, upon transformation)
Indomitable will (willing to die for his universe, unbreakable sense of self, mind is unwaveringly strong)
Ben's Weaknesses
Human reaction time (until he transforms, he is limited to human thought speed and human reflexes)
Watch cannot simulate time or experience (he is limited to the experience he has with a form, and will only be able to use abilities an "adult" specimen would be able to use, so species with abilities that come in old age will be unavailable)
This one is tricky. Are Ghosts a species, or a state of being? Is Danny a genetic hybrid, or a being between life and death? We'll look to the canon of the show for that answer: Ghosts are a species AND a state of being. Some ghosts (Desiree, Poindexter, and Ember as examples) were once human and, upon death, became spirits in the Ghost Zone with powers reflecting aspects of their human lives. Meanwhile, other ghosts (such as Clockwork, Undergrowth, and Nocturn) were never human and are extra-dimensional beings that have never existed as humans. Danny is unique: He is both Ghost AND Human. There are fan jokes that he's a corpse possessed by his own ghost, but the canon of the show states that he is a human whose DNA has been combined with ectoplasm, resulting in a Halfa. It's also been stated by the creators that Halfas are so rare because not everyone exposed the way Danny and Vlad were can become Halfas: most simply die. Danny and Vlad's DNA simply mixed perfectly with the ecto-energy. Now with that established, we come to this conclusion: the omnitrix CAN scan Danny, and it CAN add "Halfa" to it's arsenal. It would NOT be able to add Ghost to the list because Danny is, biologically, NOT a ghost. Regardless of which form it scans him in, it would get Halfa DNA because Halfa DNA is different from Ghost DNA.
However, Ben would NOT have a large list of powers to draw on. As most Ghosts have varying powers, Ben's Halfa form would have the typical ones (intangibility, spectral body manipulation, flight, invisibility, telekinesis, ghost rays, etc) but there's one fact to consider: the omnitrix cannot simulate experience, and Danny has more of it.
Halfas gain new powers, and their current powers grow in strength, with EXPERIENCE, not age. The omnitrix cannot simulate that. It could create an Ultimate Halfa (which may have more powers and much stronger base powers) but it would not give it the powers that only come with experience. He would not have the Ghostly Wail, the Technomancy, the Duplication, or any of the other powers that are born from experience and powerful emotion. The watch can't give those by default: only experience and circumstance can. And we've seen Danny manipulate other intangible things, meaning even intangible, Ben would not be safe from Danny's physical attacks. Now for the fight...
The failsafe is instant, which means if Danny tried the trick he used to beat Goku (intangible, grab lungs, pull, profit), Ben would simply be transformed into an alien that either heals fast enough to survive it OR he would be transformed into a species that does not adhere to typical biology (Ghostfreak, Alien X, Upgrade, etc) So Danny couldn't simply kill Ben, it wouldn't be that easy. Even if it were, Alien X makes it effectively impossible. This, my friends, is where Danny's Technomancy comes in. No matter what form Ben is in, no matter if he scans Danny or not, the omnitrix is ever-present as a mechanical device on his person. Danny can Overshadow people AND technology, and while Ben may be immune to Overshadowing due to his unbendable will, the omnitrix is not. Danny, upon Overshadowing the omnitrix (again, regardless of Bens' current form) could unbond it from Ben, leaving him entirely human and completely vulnerable. And given none of Ben's forms have the ability to see true invisibility like Danny's (save for those with infrared vision) he would never even know Danny was up to anything until it already happened. At that point it's as simple a matter as the Goku trick, or even simpler, a ghost ray to Ben's head or chest, carrying him high and dropping him, the Ghostly Wail, or any other of Danny's countless ways of killing regular humans.
Conclusion: Ben has a few ways of stopping Danny (Alien X, Ghostfreak, some of his energy-manipulators, etc) but none of them mean anything if Danny Overshadows the Omnitrix and unbonds it from Ben. A very simple trick, one Danny is more than capable of, and one Ben would not have time to react to unless he was in one of his faster-thinking forms such as XLR8 or Greymatter. Once removing the watch is done, Danny wins as easily as he would against any regular human.
Sun Wukong
Ooookay, this one is a DIFFICULT fight. I'm using classic Wukong, not westernized Wukong. Classic Wukong is...terrifying. Let's go over his powers and abilities. I'm using his most powerful version BEFORE his attainment of buddha-hood due to the fact that obtaining buddha-hood makes one completely and entirely above all things, leaving one truly invincible, invulnerable, indestructible, and incapable of anything in between.
Taoist immortal (age has no bearing on him, even should his body decay and become old, he will never become frail or weak due to age)
72 Transformations (can shapeshift into various forms as the situation demands, anything from a tiny golden cicada all the way to a massive and powerful elephant, and everything in-between such as tigers, rhinos, and more. For each transformation mastered, one gains an additional life, meaning should Wukong die through some method, he will be born again until his 72 lives are gone)
Superhuman agility (martial arts training coupled with his monkey instincts leave him with a level of agility impossible for humans)
Cloning (can create perfect clones of himself from the hairs on his body. Each clone is equally as powerful as the original, and can in turn create clones of themselves. Each clone holds the full powerset of the original, and can be dispelled by the original at will)
Universe-level strength (the Dragon Gods, the ones responsible for creating the universe and capable of creating infinite realms, were afraid of his raw strength)
Cosmic speed (Traveled from one end of the universe to the other with a single leap in mere seconds)
Universe-level durability (able to endure strikes from the Dragon Gods themselves)
Infinite Stamina (never tires, never feels fatigue or exhaustion)
Super-intelligent (mastered virtually every martial art, trained by the supreme Taoist sage for 20 years, learning and mastering techniques and lessons that take most hundreds or thousands of years in a mere 2 decades)
Spiritual Immortality (erased his name from the Book of the Living and Dead to ensure he could not die)
Limb multiplication (can create additional limbs at will, up to at least 1,000)
Body Freezing Spell (Can cause lower-ranking demons, humans, and monsters to freeze in place with a gesture and a single word)
Water Avoidance Charm (Can survive in deep water without breathing, but prevents flight)
Fire Avoidance Charm (can survive in any flame, no matter how hot or intense it may be)
Protective Circle (can create a magical ward of protection. Any inside the circle are protected from ALL harm)
Fiery Golden Eyes (Can see over 300 miles during the day, and almost 200 at night, as well as being able to see through any and all illusion, disguise, or transformation)
Riyu Jingu Bang Mastery (ornate gold and red quarterstaff that can extend or shrink as much as the user wishes. It weighs roughly 17,500 pounds regardless of form. When creating clones, the Riyu Jingu Bang also multiplies so each clone bears one of their own)
Cloud-walking boots (allow him to walk on clouds, integral in his use of the Cloud Somersault which allows him to cover great distances in the blink of an eye)
And his weaknesses....
Complete Goofball (incapable of taking a fight seriously. Even in his darkest moments, Sun Wukong has never given his opponent the benefit of a serious battle. He may not always joke, he may not always smile, but he NEVER takes a fight seriously and will use every opportunity to play with his enemy. Whether as a method of distraction, an attempt to make them drop their guard, or simply out of a love of fun, he never takes a fight seriously)
That's it, that's the list.
So here's the thing...Danny CAN'T kill Sun Wukong. His name is removed from the Book of the Living and Dead. He's got 72 rebirths. He's biologically immortal. His durability, strength, and power are unmatched by any being in all of fiction or reality, except for the Buddha. But what Danny CAN do is defeat him. How? Well, it's not easy, but this is how I think he'd do it.
Wukong loves to play. Danny is pretty quick on the catch so it wouldn't take him long to figure that out, and given his own love of not taking people seriously, the two would have a pretty even match as far as jokes and japes go. And Sun Wukong HATES to lose. All Danny has to do to defeat Sun Wukong is play on his hatred of losing and his refusal to take anything seriously. Danny leads Sun Wukong to the nearest portal to the Ghost Zone and tricks him into going into it with him (VERY easy for Sun Wukong to be tricked through deception, he's a fast learner but he's not that wise). Sun Wukong, now in the Ghost Zone, is limited to only being able to get out through one of the portals. Danny simply tricks Sun Wukong into staying for a moment (Sun loves games, Danny could suggest a race to the end of the Ghost Zone and ask for a ten second head start "to make it fair, since [Sun] is so much faster...Unless [Sun] is afraid he'll lose." Sun's competitive nature would rise, he would agree to the head start, Danny would have plenty of time to leave through the portal they came in from and use the Fenton Thermos to close it (Reverse Polarity seals and closes portals after all) behind him, thereby trapping Sun Wukong in the Ghost Zone forever. Sun wouldn't know how to navigate the Zone, and his magic and equipment will do nothing to help him escape. He would be stuck until he could find another portal, and he would only start looking AFTER winning/losing the race, because he would spend the entire time trying to "catch up" to Danny. Eventually he may get bored or give up, but he still wouldn't even know what he was looking for as far as getting out of the GZ. Conclusion: While Danny can't KILL Sun Wukong, he could still defeat him through deception and clever use of the Ghost Zone. Given Danny's strategic mind and the fact he's been fighting "unbeatable" threats for years, it's no stretch to believe he would figure out pretty quickly he needs to trap Wukong rather than try and beat him in a fight.
Conclusions
I do truly believe Danny Phantom wins against almost any opponent, and the big three badasses of fiction are no exception. That said, if you see an issue in my logic or can think of a reason he wouldn't be able to beat them, PLEASE let me know. I love discussion and if you change my mind I'll be all the happier for it. Again, I know this isn't my usual content, but I needed to get this out of my system cause I'm rewatching the show and it's got me kinda hyperfixated, ha.
Anyway, later guys! New Relan post coming soon, next one is about the countries!

Why is it that you considered nintendo trying to be the apple of gaming? I feel like, especially if taking sony into account, it's rather opposite of it in most of the case. Like a horizontal opposite of a horse shoe. Granted, as far as I know, the simliarity between nintendo and apple is extreme protectiveness over their IP and loathes the modification of their product. As a platform, based on recent development, they cant be more different. Nintendo product thrive on being weak but affordable console to most, and has since loosen control on third party content, while Playstation and apple thrive on being luxury powerful high end product on the market , and their policy for third party cobtent seem to have gotten more strict recently. I heard that sony forced Japanese developer make their game closer to western sensibility, even the one meant to be published in japan.
Nintendo thrive on being what people might wants, while apple thrive on being best in the market
That said, my knowledge on this is pretty limited and could be wrong, so I would like to know your perspective on this and feel free to correct me if I am wrong about anything.
It was because at the start of the Switch, Nintendo was overcharging the hell out of it. To some degree, they still are. When you consider the capabilities of the hardware, it's roughly (not directly, but roughly) equivalent to, like, an Xbox 360 or a Playstation 3. Hardware from 2005, in other words. Again, I know it's not a direct 1:1 comparison, because it's more about memory speeds and bus bandwidth. In some places the Switch is better than a 360, and in others it's worse. But still. Roughly equivalent.
For, like, $300? That's a lot of money. It leans really hard on that portability aspect. Being able to throw it in a carrying case and easily take it with you. Slot it in to any Switch dock and throw it up on a TV. I'm doing that right now, given I am writing this on the last couple days of pet sitting for my cousin. They have a Switch, but they take it with them on vacation, so I'm just using my Switch in their dock to play Tears of the Kingdom.
There was also rumors that Nintendo was going to roll out updated hardware more like a mobile phone; what I had heard was they wanted a marginal upgrade out every 2-3 years. And true enough, rumors of the so-called "Switch Pro" have persisted since at least 2018 or 2019. But since the Switch itself was selling so insanely well, supposedly Nintendo got cold feet and didn't want to mess up a good thing by rushing replacement hardware out. Now, they've stalled so long that they're leaving a lot of developers with Switch Pro dev kits out to dry.
Software is, and to some degree continues to be, very expensive. Ignoring the fact that Zelda's $70, even at launch, you had Capcom putting out a version of Street Fighter 2 HD for $60, when on Xbox Live Arcade, they charged $15 for more or less the same experience. A lot of early games were plagued by the so-called "Switch Tax."
But you're right insofar as Sony has totally stolen that crown with the Playstation 5, right down to the crushing ego and everything.
That is the number one reason I don't really want a Playstation 5. I mean, I've entered giveaways for one, I wouldn't say no if it dropped into my lap, but Sony is going after the "status symbol" market. It's very gross. I don't care how many PS4 games I have, how much of my library is tied up in PS+ freebies, I will drop the Playstation brand for another Xbox as soon as I can afford to.

I was referencing the things put forth by OP, in order:
Huge wiring harnesses simplified: Cybertruck Guy and Radmad are both wrong, for different reasons.
Current industry standards don't have separate wires for each individual switch or control, either. They group several switches, lights, etc. that are nearby together, run them into a microcontroller, and put that controller on a vehicle bus. Currently that's usually a CAN (redundant, fault-tolerant) or LIN (neither, but much simpler) bus. This drastically simplifies wiring harnesses.
The main thing Tesla has done is change the DC voltage for that bus from 12 V to 48 V nominal. Since power is voltage times current, and wire thickness is dependent on current, this cuts about half the copper mass out of the power lines in the harness. The other (data) lines were already using smaller wires. The industry has been flirting with a 48V bus for around two decades by now; Tesla just went and did it and dealt with the engineering problems when they popped up. And this is a rare case where "they're a bunch of Silicon Valley nerds" may have helped: datacenters have been using 48V DC for in-rack power delivery for decades, so they had more familiarity with it than Detroit.
They've also adopted single-pair Ethernet (1000base-T1) for the high-speed entertainment data links. This technology has been in the industry since late 2016. It's usually integrated directly onto the custom ICs in ECUs. I remember another thread like this with a tweet where someone was complaining about the fragility of RJ-45 plugs and how that's disqualifying for a vehicle, and he's right, but single-pair Ethernet does not use those jacks; it's integrated into wiring harnesses with everything else.
Astronauts laded on the moon with altitude markers hand etched on the window: That was a backup system dramatized by the Apollo 13 movie. They had an inertial navigation system, like aircraft do, as their primary navigation.
Tumblr media
Oh, and it's attitude, not altitude. Very different concepts that folks should not mix up.
Can't get a rocket off the pad without blowing up: Neither could NASA their first few years. Meanwhile SpaceX had 98 successful orbital flights last year, and they can reuse their boosters (the record is 18 times). But that's way off topic.
Tesla Model Y broke: It's not news when non-Teslas lose power steering, apparently. And I've had cars that took many more than three appointments to fix. We can throw around anecdata all day.
Series wiring like Christmas lights: Come on, you've got no basis for that.
It's like the Titan sub: Sigh. Really?
Okay, now to the RDN link:
the vehicle’s angular design and stainless steel body could pose danger to other road users
Absolutely true. Also true of almost every luxury pickup truck on the market. One example:
Tumblr media
I'm all for figuring out some kind of regulatory regime to rein this in. Or maybe a modification of liability rules and increased insurance coverage minimums.
“The big problem there is if they really make the skin of the vehicle very stiff by using thick stainless steel, then when people hit their heads on it, it’s going to cause more damage to them,”
True, but it's not that thick or stiff; the speaker was speculating. Other have pointed out that "we shot it with a Tommy gun" is a lousy test because the bullets are rather low velocity. If you watch the side impact crash test, you can see the side panels visibly flexing.
And right after that, an IIHS rep said, “IIHS hasn’t evaluated the Cybertruck. The discussions we’ve seen so far appear to be based on speculation. I would add that our experience with Tesla is that they aim for the highest safety ratings in IIHS tests. We have no reason to expect anything different with the Cybertruck.”
The biggest problem with Teslas, from insurance companies' perspectives, has been that airbag-deployed collisions tend to result in totaling the vehicle more often than in other cars. Occupant safety, on the other hand, seems to be better than average. We've seen people walk away from their Model 3s after they got T-boned by speeding pickups (60-ish MPH in a 30 zone). We know this from accident reconstruction and camera data.
There's a linked video in the article comparing the Tesla Cybertruck collision to a Dodge Ram 1500. There are several others like it on YouTube (I saw one that had six trucks in it, all synced up). They all have the same flaw: they're comparing different crash types. The Cybertruck is doing a full frontal crash, where you drive the vehicle into a solid, immovable wall, while the others are moderate overlap crashes, where the hood goes over the obstacle and only the left 1/3 of the vehicle is obstructed, so the engine can deflect to the sides instead of going into the firewall and then the passenger compartment. The Cybertruck, of course, does not have a large engine in that space; it's mostly cargo storage. And we can clearly see it crumpling and the front wheel moving outward instead of back into the passenger compartment, like practically all cars do now.
(Some folks like to point out how the rear wheel breaks away, too: this is expected because it's a steering wheel, since the Cybertruck has four-wheel steering, and uses the same suspension technology as the front, instead of connecting the rear wheels more directly to the rear axle like most vehicles. Not completely directly, though, like the Chevy Corvair's swing axles. In any case, kinetic energy breaking the rear wheels off like that is energy that isn't compromising the cabin.)
The article addresses the "lack" of crumple zones:
Samer Hamdar, a George Washington University auto safety professor, told Reuters that while a lack of crumple zones concerned him, there could be other factors that accounted for it. “There might be a possibility of shock-absorbent mechanism that will limit the fact that you have a limited crumple zone,” Hamdar said.
I'm not going to speculate about crumple zones beyond the above ("the cargo area collapses, taking some energy with it; we have to see if that's enough to call a crumple zone, but it's not nothing") until someone tears one down and documents it. But crumple zones aren't the only means of keeping kinetic energy out of the passengers.
The rest of the article goes back to concerns about pedestrian safety, which seem to be the main substantive concern, and is noted at the end of this video:
youtube
And again, pedestrian safety is an industry-wide problem. We need another Ralph Nader, but demonizing Tesla alone (god it's so easy, Elon is such an asshole) only gives cover to the rest of the industry. And none of the tweets in OP's post spoke of this.

Can 2.0 and Can Fd: Controller Area Network
Tumblr media
1. Introduction to Can 2.0 and Can Fd
Bosch developed the Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol in the 1980s, revolutionizing data exchange between multiple ECUs in both automotive and industrial applications. It allows nodes, such as ECUs, sensors, and actuators, to interact via a single twisted-pair bus and was first standardized as CAN 2.0. It was perfect for real-time safety-critical activities because of its robustness, fault detection, and deterministic message priority. Let’s Dive in more into Can 2.0 and Can Fd.
2. Traditional CAN: The Current Situation
Tumblr media
2.1 Constant Data Rate
Runs at a maximum speed of 1 Mbps, however long buses frequently operate at 500 kbps or less. Each frame has a consistent bit-rate, which restricts bandwidth.
2.2 Length of Message
Eight bytes per frame was the payload limit; this was acceptable in the 1980s but not enough for contemporary applications.
2.3 Priority & Identifier Supports 29-bit (Extended) and 11-bit (Standard) IDs:
Extended IDs (CAN 2.0B) permit more node types but have slightly slower performance; shorter IDs provide faster arbitration but fewer unique identifiers.
2.4 Determinism & Reliability
Deterministic transmission is ensured by hardware-based arbitration, which gives priority to important signals. Bit-stuffing, self-monitoring, and CRC provide robust error detection, which makes CAN incredibly dependable for safety-critical systems.
3. The Reason CAN FD Is Revolutionary
The traditional CAN architecture became constrained by the growing data requirements in ADAS, EVs, industrial automation, and over-the-air (OTA) software upgrades. A compelling case for improvements was made by these changing needs. In 2012, Bosch created CAN FD (Flexible Data Rate), which was standardized by ISO 11898–1:2015.While maintaining the benefits of CAN 2.0, this “second-generation CAN” significantly increases speed and payload.
4. CAN FD: Essential Characteristics & Benefits
Tumblr media
4.1 Dual-Phase Bit Rate
The data segment changes to up to 5–8 Mbps, depending on the transceiver, while the arbitration phase stays at 1 Mbps (ensures compatibility). This hybrid rate maximizes throughput and reliability.
4.2 Extended Payload
Reduces overhead and increases efficiency in high-volume data applications by supporting up to 64 bytes per frame.
4.3 Improved Error Identification
Enhances the detection of bit-level mistakes, particularly with larger payloads, by using a 17-bit or 21-bit CRC. maintains robust fault confinement strategies (Error Active/Passive, Bus Off).
4.4 Compatibility with Backward
To prevent bus problems, FD frames contain a unique indication bit that CAN 2.0 nodes can identify and disregard. As long as FD nodes have the ability to switch the arbitration rate to 1 Mbps when needed, mixed networks are feasible and can operate Can 2.0 and Can Fd frames.
5. Physical and Technical Aspects
5.1 Wiring & Transceivers
Higher bit rates (5–8 Mbps) require sophisticated SIC-CAN transceivers, like NXP’s TJA146x series, tighter capacitance budgets, and high-quality cabling.
5.2 Topology & Network Design
CAN FD is more prone to noise and signal reflections; impedance management, balanced stub lengths, and appropriate terminating are essential.
5.3 Complexity of Configuration
FD calls for more meticulous network planning, including arbitration vs. data thresholds, baud rate settings, error counters, etc., because of dual bit-rate logic and longer frames. Updated tools and the assistance of a skilled engineer are required.
6. Market Trends & Adoption by Industry
6.1 Automobile
Because of its high-bandwidth capabilities, CAN FD is essential to contemporary ADAS, battery management, and ECUs for cameras, radars, and LiDARs. Automobile manufacturers like as Daimler and GM use semiconductors from Infineon, NXP, TI, and STMicroelectronics extensively. By 2024, traditional CAN still made up about 45% of automotive communication, while FD’s market share is growing and approaching CAN XL adoption.
6.2 Heavy-Duty and Industrial Vehicles
CAN FD maintains legacy compatibility while enabling better diagnostics and control in J1939 truck and off-road systems without switching to Ethernet. Longer term, Ethernet will take over, although FD bridges the bandwidth-cost-performance gap.
6.3 Defense, Aerospace, Medical, and Robotics
Tumblr media
6.4 Market expansion
FD and CAN XL usage are expected to propel the CAN market’s growth from USD 5.2 billion in 2023 to USD 8.28 billion in 2024 at a about 11% CAGR.
7. Making the switch to CAN FD from CAN 2.0
7.1 Updates to Hardware
For high-phase rates, all ECUs on FD segments require controllers and transceivers that are compatible with CAN FD. It is possible to keep legacy CAN 2.0 nodes, but they must remain receive-only and arbitrated at 1 Mbps unless they are upgraded.
7.2 Tools & Software
Firmware must allow greater DLC options, checking CRC logic, and FD control bits (FDF, BRS). Updates are necessary for FDF frames and greater payloads in DBC files, diagnostic tools, and calibration software.
7.3 Wiring & PHY
Review the bus architecture by using low-capacitance components, ensuring balanced characteristic impedance, and minimizing stub lengths. Purchase higher-quality transceivers (SIC-CAN, for example) to accommodate >5 Mbps in practical configurations.
8. CAN FD vs Other Options
Higher speeds (100 Mbps+) are possible with automotive Ethernet (100BASE-T1), but it is more expensive and requires additional stacks (TCP/IP, AVB, and TSN). Ethernet manages bulk data, while CAN FD finds a balance between being straightforward, reliable, and economical for real-time ECUs.
9. Toward the Future: CAN XL
Growing network demands (CiA 610–1, up to 20 Mbps, realistic 2,048 byte payload) are driving changes in CAN XL. It provides a clear upgrade route for upcoming networks while maintaining backward compatibility with Can 2.0 and Can Fd and traditional CAN. FD will continue to be a crucial transitional technology, with early implementations anticipated in the upcoming years.
10. Summary Table
Tumblr media
FeatureCAN 2.0CAN FDMax Data Rate1 Mbps5–8 Mbps (data phase)Payload Size8 bytesUp to 64 bytesArbitration Rate1 Mbps1 Mbps CRC Check15‑bit CRC17‑bit/21‑bit CRC Compatibility N/A Backward-compatible via FDF flag Applications Legacy vehicles, simple ECUs ADAS, BMS, robotics, industrial systems Hardware Needs Standard CAN PHYFD-capable PHY, low-capacitance wiring, SIC transceivers
11. Conclusion Remarks
CAN FD retains the simplicity and reliability that CAN is known for, while overcoming three major limitations of CAN 2.0: limited bandwidth, small payload capacity, and reduced error resilience. Its hybrid dual-rate design complements old infrastructure and provides an affordable upgrade for today’s sophisticated sensor suites, OTA-enabled systems, and ECUs. Deployment still needs to be planned carefully; improvements in hardware, accurate wiring, tool support, and skilled engineering are essential. However, CAN FD is undoubtedly the de facto standard for automotive and industrial bus systems in the foreseeable future — until CAN XL becomes widely used — given market adoption, OEM impetus, and expanding support.

Solar Stop Signs: Lighting up the safety light in multiple scenarios
When the first ray of sunlight in the morning shines on the road, a solar stop sign with a soft glow quietly wakes up and begins its mission of protection for the day. This kind of transportation facility powered by clean energy is shining in many scenes in cities and villages with its flexible deployment and efficient warning characteristics, building a solid safety line for every trip.
Safety barrier at the junction of urban and suburban areas In the area where cities and villages meet, road conditions are often complex and changeable. The entrances and exits of old communities are intertwined with newly built roads, agricultural tricycles and express trucks share lanes, and the lack of stable power supply infrastructure makes it difficult for traditional traffic signs to play a role. The emergence of solar stop signs has brought a turning point to this "management blind spot". The signs installed at the fork in the village entrance do not need to lay cables and can maintain all-weather operation relying only on sunlight. At five in the morning, when the first batch of agricultural trucks drove out of the village, the LED lights of the signs began to flash, reminding drivers to slow down and observe; in the evening, the school bus picking up children passed by, and the high-brightness warning lights penetrated the twilight, forcing passing vehicles to stop in advance. After installing solar stop signs in a suburban community, the number of intersection scratches decreased by 62% within three months, and residents finally no longer had to worry about "ghostly" crossing the road. These signs can also automatically adjust the brightness according to the environment. In the strong light at noon in summer, the signs will switch to high-frequency flashing mode to ensure that drivers exposed to direct sunlight can also clearly identify them; in winter haze weather, the light brightness will automatically increase by 30%, marking a striking safety boundary in the gray sky. This wisdom of "adapting to local conditions" has simultaneously improved the traffic efficiency and safety factor of suburban roads.
Tumblr media
Guardian of the campus periphery The periphery of the campus during school hours is always the top priority of traffic management. The lively nature of children and the concentrated influx of vehicles picked up by parents make every intersection like a precise safety test. The solar stop sign here is transformed into the most responsible "off-campus counselor", using the power of technology to build a protective wall. The sign installed at the entrance of the primary school is designed in a cartoon shape, with a yellow frame and a flashing red light, which not only conforms to the visual cognitive habits of children, but also instantly grabs the attention of drivers. When the school gate opens at 7:30 in the morning, the sign will automatically switch to "enhanced warning mode", and the light will flash twice per second, forming a three-dimensional safety reminder with the colored speed bumps on the ground. After a key middle school installed a solar stop sign on the path between the teaching building and the main road, it creatively linked it with the campus bell system - when the bell rang, the sign would increase the flashing intensity synchronously to remind nearby vehicles that "students are about to pass"; after the bell rang, the light would return to normal mode to reduce interference with normal traffic. This "school-enterprise linkage" model not only reduced the traffic accident rate by 75%, but also subtly cultivated students' traffic safety awareness.
Traffic beacons in remote areas In mountainous areas, pastoral areas and islands far from the urban power grid, traditional traffic signs are useless because of "no electricity available". The emergence of solar stop signs has given these forgotten road corners standardized safety guarantees. At the bends of the winding mountain roads on the Tibetan plateau, the signs that have withstood the test of -30℃ cold are still running stably. The red lights are particularly eye-catching against the background of snow-capped mountains, reminding truck drivers to slow down; at the dock entrance of the Hainan fishing village, the typhoon-resistant signs stand guard in the heavy rain, guiding the fishing boat supply vehicles to enter and exit in an orderly manner. The ultra-long endurance of these signs is fully demonstrated here. Even if it encounters rainy weather for a week, the built-in lithium iron phosphate battery can still maintain normal operation, and will not "strike" due to power outages like traditional signs. After installing 20 sets of solar stop signs, a certain island town not only solved the traffic chaos of fishing boats docking for many years, but also unexpectedly promoted island tourism - tourists are curious about these "safety guards that do not need to be plugged in", and the local area has even developed it into a popular science check-in point.
Tumblr media
Temporary defense line in the construction area Safety management during road construction has always been a difficult problem for the transportation department. Traditional temporary signs are easily blown down by the wind and have poor visibility at night, while the portability and high brightness of solar stop signs are perfectly adapted to this scenario. In the construction section of the urban subway, workers only need ten minutes to complete the installation and fixation of the signs. During the day, they serve as static warnings, and the lights that automatically light up at night guide the direction of detour vehicles; at the highway maintenance site, the movable solar signs are flexibly moved with the progress of the construction to form a dynamic safety isolation zone. A municipal group fully adopts solar stop signs in road renovation projects. Through the built-in GPS positioning and connection with the background system, managers can monitor the working status of each sign in real time. When a road sign is accidentally knocked down by a construction vehicle, the system immediately issues an alarm, and maintenance personnel rush to the scene to reset it within ten minutes, avoiding security loopholes. This "movable and monitorable" feature has reduced the traffic accident rate during construction by 58%, while saving the cost of repeated disassembly and assembly of traditional signs. From cities to villages, from campuses to wilderness, solar stop signs are writing safety legends in thousands of scenes with their unique adaptability. It is not just a luminous traffic sign, but also a combination of technology and humanity - using clean energy to protect the green earth, using intelligent sensing to understand environmental needs, and using eye-catching warnings to ensure life safety. When we meet it in different scenes, we see not only flashing lights, but also a solemn commitment to every trip. With the continuous iteration of technology, these "solar safety guards" will also light up the light of protecting life in more unknown corners.

Common Mode Choke: The Key to Effective EMI Suppression
Signal integrity and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) are essential in modern technology for making sure devices work right and follow the rules. As far as controlling annoying noise goes, the common mode choke is one of the best parts. In high-speed digital circuits and power supply lines, it is essential because it filters out common mode noise without changing the messages that are meant to be sent.
Tumblr media
What Is a Common Mode Choke?
It stops electromagnetic (EMI) and radio-frequency interference (RFI) that are caused by common mode currents. A common mode choke is a type of passive filter. An electric motor has a magnetic core and at least two windings that carry electricity in the same way. These windings are set up in a way that stops regular differential currents but doesn't let common mode currents flow.
How Does a Common Mode Choke Work?
The main idea behind how it works is electromagnetic induction. In differential mode, when equal current flows in both windings but in opposite directions, their magnetic fields balance each other out. This lets the device work normally. But if interference shows up in common mode (both windings going the same way), the choke has a high impedance that stops or weakens the signal that isn't needed.
Applications of Common Mode Chokes
Common mode choke is used in a lot of different electrical systems, especially where noise reduction is essential. Some important uses are:
• Power Supplies: Getting rid of EMI in switching regulators and AC/DC switches
• Consumer electronics: Reducing noise in TVs, computers, and cell phones
• Data communication lines: USB, HDMI, Ethernet, and CAN bus noise filtering
• Industrial Equipment: EMC compliance in motor drives, PLCs, and computers for industrial equipment.
• Automotive Systems: EMI prevention in infotainment, sensors, and control units for automotive systems.
Benefits of Using a Common Mode Choke
• Effective EMI Suppression: Reduces disturbance that could harm system performance or break rules
• Maintains Signal Integrity: doesn't mess with differential mode signals
• Improves Product Reliability: Lessens noise and electricity problems at the system level
• Compact and Cost-Efficient: Powerful filters in a small package
Conclusion
A common mode choke is an essential part of modern electronics for making sure that they work with other electromagnetic devices. It improves system speed, follows EMC rules, and stops costly failures by filtering out unwanted noise while keeping essential signals. Adding the right common mode choke to devices is a smart way to make them safer, cleaner, and more reliable, whether they are used in power gadgets, communication systems, or cars.
