I built a miniature Va11 Hall-A Bar inside of my PC!!
Va11 Hall-A PC Parts & Build list
PC:
CPU : Intel I9 14900k
GPU: Intel Arc A770 16gb
Ram: Corsair Dominator 64gb 5600
Mobo: Maxsun Terminator Z790 D5 wifi
Hard drives M.2: Samsung 990 pro 2tb, Samsung 970 evo plus 1tb, CT 1tb, Adata 500gb
PSU: ROG Thor 850 P2
Cables: Cablemod.com custom shortened and sleeved
Water loop distro : EKWB FLT 120 reservoir + D5 pump
Water loop cpu block: ThermalTake Pacific Mx2 Ultra
Water loop radiators: Alphacool HPE 20 x 2
Water loop hardware: 15 Alphacool, 3 EKWB, 2 Alphacool soft, 2 granzon
Water loop tubes: EKWB Acrylic tube 14mm, Alphacool 13/10 soft
Air Cooling : ThermalTake Toughfan 120mm x 3 + Controller
Air Cooling : Noctua 40mm pwm server fan x 2 (non visible)
Additional RGB Control : Coolermaster controller
Case:
Lian Li PC V600, left side mount, released in 2006, I acquired it in 2015 from PC Recycle in sodo Seattle.
I had to track down a new foot, one had been missing since I acquired the case (ebay)
Mods:These are the case mods I did personally
Cut a hole for the cpu mounts in the Motherboard mount plate as this case was designed for older hardware
Cut two 120mm blowholes and added aluminum covers (Dremel)
Cut Front and rear windows into side panels (Dremel Max)
Moved PSU from vertical placement in the lower right side of the case in front of the CPU to horizontal placement in the top left in old drive bays.
The PSU bracket had to be cut to show the OLED on the side.
Modded the side panel rail slide to accommodate the PSU, I used the original aluminum stand the psu was on, cut in half and epoxied with JB weld.
Changed and moved Power/ Reset switch to the back of the case, shortened and spliced the cable
I cut and bent my own 14mm acrylic tubes (hobby miter, heat gun).
Cut and made two way mirror for the front panel
Plastic "truss" is both functional and aesthetic. It came from a Gunpla accessory kit and has two cables passing through it and it acts as the GPU support. I could only get red and had to paint it.
Notice that some logos are missing/ covered, I dislike having a case as an advertisement. The Rog eye on the PSU is mostly covered but iykyk, most of the word "Intel" on the ARC GPU, Two of the Thermaltake logos on the fan edges, the Paint on the Thermaltake Mx2 Ultra and Maxsun terminator heatsink. (I will eventually cover the visible SSD with a heat sink, cover the fan info on the rear and work a cover for the word "dominator"). the one logo explicitly unchanged is the LianLi case badge, if I think of a perfect replacement, maybe then.
Mod I did not do:
I did NOT shorten and sleeve my own cables, I used cable-mod.com. I am not confident in my ability to do this.
BAR:
"Bar Tiny" Re-ment sets from Japan, 17 sets involved.
I customized the color of the bar and chairs and shortened one table for the mezzanine. The whole bar, minus barback- is on a removable 7 inch piece of black acrylic for cleaning.
Jill Stingray Nendoroid
Jils Cat, it sleeps on the GPU
Jill Stool: Jill is glued to a cute doll stool to see over the bar
Jill Accessories non-Nendoroid: cellphone, purse, coat (ebay)
Dorothy Haze Nendoroid
will be added on release.
Bar Back:I made this myself
Black acrylic sheet, and frosted acrylic rods.
Doll Light power kit: 8 Led lights, 4 incandescent lights
USB Doll light power strip
Other Bar Accessories:
Overhead Hanging farmhouse light
trash, mop, broom, pan, mop bucket,
2 blue fuzzy chairs
Miniature plants
Miniature Microphone
Mini bottle Dom Perignon, an xmas gift from my friend nemo, it's
on the top shelf
Problems and changes:
1. ARGB, pretty pretty pain in the ass. 4 pieces of software........
2. The water loop was changed extensively as hardware came in and space limitations were discovered. The biggest change is that I originally planned to have one radiator on the front of the case, the tubes running over Jills head and to light the tubes as lighting for the bar, to do this the fan would have been in the case proper pushing the whole bar to far into the mobo, it didn't work, so the loop was moved to the top of the case and caused me to have one complex bent tube
Second, I had planned the loop to use one sideport on the distro, but space limitation moved both ports to the top causing the complex fittings setup in that corner.
3. The MOBO, sigh. This has been clearly the most challenging choice I made in this build, I really wanted it to work perfectly too, but I rolled those dice because: Aesthetic+function, the board I wanted (https://en.colorful.cn/en/home/product?mid=84&id=400d19bc-5655-49e1-b391-df00b60935ef) was to great a risk for the cost. This was a silver medal.
I generally dislike the design options I had in the Z790 series of the big board makers (I HATE big logos), especially the full ATX, there was one M that interested me, I should have picked it . This board has potential, but the BIOS is underdeveloped and compatibility has been problematic, I had to do a tricky outdated style BIOS update right from the box, and have had to reset the cmos a couple times. It skips BIOS on general boot and though stable, it will have to be addressed eventually, it doesn't have a proper sleep because of some issue between uefi & legacy. It may end up replaced, which will require a full build teardown.
the Turbo fan built into the board doesn't seem to function
Alos, the two argb connections on the mobo dont work, or I can't get them to recognize anything, necessitating the Coolermaster controller for the PSU and Distro. it is shoved behind the distro along with a Noctua 40mm

NASA Shares New Views of our Galactic Neighbor, Andromeda
The Andromeda galaxy, also known as Messier 31 (M31), is the closest spiral galaxy to the Milky Way at a distance of about 2.5 million light-years. Astronomers use Andromeda to understand the structure and evolution of our own spiral, which is much harder to do since Earth is embedded inside the Milky Way.
The galaxy M31 has played an important role in many aspects of astrophysics, but particularly in the discovery of dark matter. In the 1960s, astronomer Vera Rubin and her colleagues studied M31 and determined that there was some unseen matter in the galaxy that was affecting how the galaxy and its spiral arms rotated. This unknown material was named “dark matter.” Its nature remains one of the biggest open questions in astrophysics today, one which NASA’s upcoming Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is designed to help answer.
This new composite image contains data of M31 taken by some of the world’s most powerful telescopes in different kinds of light. This image includes X-rays from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory and ESA’s (European Space Agency’s) XMM-Newton (represented in red, green, and blue); ultraviolet data from NASA’s retired GALEX (blue); optical data from astrophotographers using ground based telescopes (Jakob Sahner and Tarun Kottary); infrared data from NASA’s retired Spitzer Space Telescope, the Infrared Astronomy Satellite, COBE, Planck, and Herschel (red, orange, and purple); and radio data from the Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope (red-orange).
Each type of light reveals new information about this close galactic relative to the Milky Way. For example, Chandra’s X-rays reveal the high-energy radiation around the supermassive black hole at the center of M31 as well as many other smaller compact and dense objects strewn across the galaxy. A recent paper about Chandra observations of M31 discusses the amount of X-rays produced by the supermassive black hole in the center of the galaxy over the last 15 years. One flare was observed in 2013, which appears to represent an amplification of the typical X-rays seen from the black hole.
These multi-wavelength datasets are also being released as a sonification, which includes the same wavelengths of data in the new composite. In the sonification, the layer from each telescope has been separated out and rotated so that they stack on top of each other horizontally, beginning with X-rays at the top and then moving through ultraviolet, optical, infrared, and radio at the bottom. As the scan moves from left to right in the sonification, each type of light is mapped to a different range of notes, from lower-energy radio waves up through the high energy of X-rays. Meanwhile, the brightness of each source controls volume, and the vertical location dictates the pitch.
This new image of M31 is released in tribute to the groundbreaking legacy of Dr. Vera Rubin, whose observations transformed our understanding of the universe. Rubin’s meticulous measurements of Andromeda’s rotation curve provided some of the earliest and most convincing evidence that galaxies are embedded in massive halos of invisible material — what we now call dark matter. Her work challenged long-held assumptions and catalyzed a new era of research into the composition and dynamics of the cosmos. In recognition of her profound scientific contributions, the United States Mint has recently released a quarter in 2025 featuring Rubin as part of its American Women Quarters Program — making her the first astronomer honored in the series.
NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, manages the Chandra program. The Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory's Chandra X-ray Center controls science operations from Cambridge, Massachusetts, and flight operations from Burlington, Massachusetts.

I know people have flirted with you, and that’s their deal, but- and I mean no offense by it- I am down apocalyptic for that custom Amber Phantom.
I need more intel on that cockpit setup or I am going to explode.
Have you ever been plugged into the soup while she’s under maintenance? If so, what does it feel like? Can you tell the difference between someone touching the outer plating versus the endoskeleton or cables?
(I’m willing to bet on the former, knowing both SSC and how that frame-pattern dances around, but-) Does she move via synth-muscle or classical hydraulics? What’s her low-gravity handling like?
I- I need to shut up.
- a very… jealous Everest pilot
(feel free to delete this, especially since it’s not a bit and I’m only on anon to dodge the guilt and shame)
Oh? That's new. She is a work of art - custom made, high quality and bespoke by SSC standards. Sorry pal, she's spoken for - tuned to my neural and genetic signatures, anyone else tries to pilot her and they get nausea and confusion at best and a fried brain at worst.
Which is why I'm not particularly worried about sharing enough to stop your head going pop.
So, the setup itself; Her chest is all elongated and such as a Phantom or a Metalmark's tends to be; hers opens up, or more precisely retracts, into lots of different pieces, and I have to crawl into the tank since it's horizontal. The soup (no idea what the hell it's made of, I'll have to test if I can use it in napalm some time) does not stop fire but it very much does stop radiation, so her reactor is pretty damn close to the tank itself.
I also have to wear a specific suit that really tests the "hard" in hardsuit; the thing is uncomfortably skintight, although it is thankfully far more padded than it looks; made out of these fancy layers of gel and polymer designed to help keep me cool and prevent any injuries from being tossed around in the tube, stray shrapnel, the works. I do get a cool helmet though. That at least doesn't look absurd.
That suit also has these little ports that the mess of cables links up to. I've got the one in the back of my neck, most pilots have one there or on the skull these days, but but the suit also lets Foolish Mirror interface with my entire nervous system without needing to look pockmarked. That said, I have gone in without anything in the way of armour (long story, something something enemies stealing my shit and doing guerrilla warfare). Never again. If she weren't tailor made for my brain I'm pretty sure I would have suffered irreversible damage The soup itself is breathable fluid, although I get a filter mask in my helmet that keeps out anything that's not meant to be in the soup, thank fuck. Tastes like a more bitter version of undiluted squash mixed with metal, would not recommend. The fluid itself contains a ton of shite I don't know, but also some heavy, heavy stims, as well as some liquid nutrients and life support crap, plus a disinfectant that (somehow) isn't harmful to me (and only me, remember, bespoke by SSC standards) but fucks up any critters in the tank with me. Oh, and Foolish Mirror also releases other shite into the soup in response to certain situations; if I have shrapnel in the tank, coagulation agents, If It's too fucking cold, antifreeze. How SSC makes this crap nonharmful to humans I would love to know. It also lights up my body like a star with some kind of euphoria agent in tandem with my fight or flight response. Best part is that the intended use for it is to let me keep the adrenaline of the fear without panicking; The day I figure out what it is, is the day that I build a drug empire because let me tell you that if this hit the streets gliss will be history. Leads to some incredible risk taking behaviour but in Foolish Mirror sudden unexpected consequences to my actions are significantly reduced so it kind of evens out.
There have been times where I was plugged into "the soup" (I'm stealing that") more than I wasn't for weeks at a time, maintenance being among them. It uh, it's an experience all right. The first time felt like I was being torn apart, I effectively was being torn apart, there was damage to the nociceptive filters and- yeah. Shit sucked.
The second time though, that was...
It feels weird, having pieces of yourself removed and fiddled with and even stranger to feel new ones added. Recalibrating added pieces feels like the most intense pins and needles of your life, and also hellishly hot and polar cold and also like an electric shock.
To put a point on it though, the sensation does not go away when the filter is active. Plus, it's even more intense when you know exactly what's going to happen besides the nitty gritty a few seconds in advance - think eating some food you knew was going to be hot, but not nearly as hot as it is really and also someone unexpectedly added chillies.
Your assumption was right, of course, I can tell you exactly what system is having what done to it at any given time. Outer armour plating usually doesn't have nociception and only a tactile sensation telling you what pieces are missing or damaged and where. Internals kind of feels like someone is sticking their fingers in your mouth; it takes a whole lot to stay still and they tend to be uncomfortable and complicated and full of pieces you didn't know you could feel until they were poked, and Christ-the-Buddha preserve you if there's damage to them - pain on itself is fine, but being told by a separate sensory input each whenever a few wires are pulled a little too far? feels like raw nerves. The wires especially are sensitive fuckers. If someone touches the endoskeleton, assuming the gaping hole that's presumably there for that to be necessary isn't poked, is actually not all that bad. Besides the fact that it makes you aware of the fact you have a skeleton. And when you get out, you stay aware of this fact. When the maintenance crew actually remembers that there's someone's nervous system hooked up to the machine, it can be kind of relaxing though. At least until someone drops a screwdriver into your secondary comms array. Smoke. Isn't that right?
Anyways, as for how she moves, she's designed for advanced neural interfacing, so she uses a muscle analogue system - although, it's pretty SSC. Specifically, she has pressurised nanotubes; the whole limb being moved effectively is the hydraulic, or more accurately, thousands of hydraulics. Lets you use all your nerves to move how you normally would with minimal adjustment necessary. In fact the nerves in my tail are also repurposed to direct the monowire, so that's. Fun.(I'd like to take a moment to note that my monowire was made by the same smiths who make shock knives, but for obvious reasons it needs to be able to get re printed quite regularly. You would not believe how many angry terashima folks I get looking for their apology letter) There are also sections of reactive metalloid polymers that shrink wrap themselves in response to electricity, used for some of the less protected areas where even SSC need to rack up durability.
As for her zero G handling... four words. Rapid burst jump jets. Some of the most fun I've had in a long time. SSC is always built for dancing around the fight to some degree, but a phantom in zero G capable of flight? She makes my skin look rough compared to how smoothly she glides.
My dear everest pilot, you don't need to shut up. Any other questions? I would be more than happy to answer them.

When it comes to non-human characters, I always start thinking about biology. So, I decided to write a little about Duros evolution, biology, and culture (speculation and headcanons based on official canon and legend facts) and make an illustration in the spirit of the encyclopedias from my childhood.
On the left you can see the pristine, still green and covered with deep clean oceans planet Duro, as it was at the dawn of sentient life. The reptiloid, which could have been the ancestor of modern Duros, has the external features of a lizard and a frog, but is warm-blooded. It, like most of the fauna on this planet, has green blood based on ferrous oxide. This reptiloid is able to stand on its hind legs and quickly run short distances, has a fairly massive tail for balance. Its skin is tough but scaleless, and it sheds its skin like lizards. Its coloring provides good camouflage, and its large eyes, located on the sides of its head, provide a very wide field of vision. The muzzle is not elongated, since there is no nasal cavity. The vomeronasal organs, responsible for smell, are located under the eyes in the cavity of the cheekbones and open into the soft palate. Accordingly, these reptiles must stick out their tongue and then touch it to the palate if they want to sniff something carefully. The eyes have a full nictitating membrane, which allows them to be moistened, cleaned or protected while maintaining vision.
In my opinion, there are a number of signs indicating that the Duros ancestors were more prey than predators, and at the same time they themselves could have developed omnivory - this is the most advantageous strategy for survival. Small fangs, present in some individuals, do not contradict this at all - this can be seen in the example of Earth primates, even completely herbivorous ones. What you should pay attention to: large eyes with horizontal pupils (in the series, you can also notice that the eyes of the Neimoidians can even rotate so that the pupils remain parallel to the horizon). Such eyes are typical for animals for whom it is important to notice the approach of a predator in time. Another distinctive feature is a predominantly thin build and reduction of toes (there are certainly hints at this in the design of the Neimoidians) - this is typical for animals that have developed the ability to run fast. This, in turn, requires warm-bloodedness, the presence of a bird-type heart and huge lungs. I am sure that Duros have all of this, at least a hint of large lungs can be seen in the description of the physiology of Neimoidians, who have a very noticeable rapid breathing in a stressful situation (in addition, large lungs allow both species to speak and breathe without problems in the absence of a nose). Another sign is oily sweat, which, if an individual feels threatened, is secreted more abundantly and acquires a sharp, repulsive smell. This is a strategy clearly necessary for someone who could become prey. Its presence has become canon for Duros relatively recently, but initially something like this was mentioned for Neimoidians as well. The latter also react to stress or illness by turning their skin pale, up to pink, and I associate this with their ability to see in the infrared spectrum. This fact suggests that other members of the Duro fauna can also see thermal radiation, which would explain the reflex of draining blood from the skin when stressed or ill - this lowers the external body temperature and makes it easier to hide. I believe that the Duros also have this reflex, which originally arose in their ancestors, but the structure of their skin makes it less noticeable.
The next stage of evolution can be conditionally called Duros habilis; these reptiloids had a much more developed brain and had already mastered tools. Their binocular vision became clearer, and the structure of the pelvis changed to provide more perfect bipedality. Since childhood, I remembered the drawings of hypothetical reptiloids from books about dinosaurs, and now I believe that this is the evolutionary path that the Duro reptiles could have taken, so this evolutionary link has a non-random similarity with the dinosauroid. It may seem that it has less muscle mass, but this is actually a change in the ratio of muscle fibers, slightly reducing strength, but increasing endurance.
An upright individual, the closest ancestor of modern Duros, still has rudiments of claws and first and fourth toes, as well as a small tail. The appearance of claws in Duros and Neimoidians is an atavism, while the tail is present in larval stage and disappears during development due to autolysis (in my opinion, the grubs of both species resemble tadpoles adapted to a terrestrial lifestyle, that is, they initially have lungs and durable skin; while Duros have small limbs, the position of which changes as they turn into an adult, Neimoidians are born without limbs, only with a mobile muscular tail). This species could live in nomadic groups, mainly engaged in gathering and avoiding dangerous predatory fauna. Their brains increased significantly, since they needed good memory and orientation in space, they also made various, often multifunctional tools. The individual depicted here holds a spear, which could be used for defense or hunting small animals, as well as for cutting plants and harvesting fruit, or digging. The spear, like the breastplate of this so called Duros erectus, is made from fragments of the chitinous carapace of a giant beetle, and echoes of its use can still be seen thousands years later in the design of clothing (collars and pectorals) or weapons (Neimoidian vibro mace). The clothing of this upright Duros is made from the skin of some other reptile. Cloaks and capes also became traditional clothing early on, as it was important for a species to cover its back in order to avoid being wounded by predators.
The second image shows the planet Duro already damaged by industrialization; and here you can see a noble Duros from the early era of space expansion. The signs of his status are jewelry, especially rings (they were apparently a status symbol for the monarch, too, judging by the decorated hand of the lost king of Duro). While green was initially the most common skin color among Duros, in civilized society there was no vital need for protective coloring, and blue shades were increasingly no longer a rarity - perhaps, on the contrary, they began to be found more attractive due to their unusualness. Modern Duros differ from their closest ancestors in their smoother, longer face and, of course, in brain volume, as well as in the complete absence of a tail in adulthood. Otherwise, the body type remained slim and athletic (and traditional Duros dances are designed to demonstrate the agility and endurance that were so necessary for the survival of their ancestors - they are very energetic, include many jumps and other acrobatic elements). The modern species, apparently, retained the mentality of their ancestors - caution, avoidance of danger, easy-going and a tendency to escape from bad conditions. Therefore, most of them began to leave the polluted planet, and excellent memory, spatial thinking and the ability to quickly navigate and react, laid down genetically, made many Duros gifted navigators and pilots. Their people can also boast a large number of explorers and discoverers.
The colonization of various worlds by the Duros led to the emergence of new species, but so far we only know about one of them - the Neimoidians. And personally, it seems to me that their cultures are much closer than is commonly thought, and in general, the mutual hostility of the two species can be artificially reinforced by propaganda by those who benefit from it. Both Duros and Neimoidian people are enterprising, have business acumen and respect material success, considering the inability to maintain financial stability as a weakness (perhaps the very strict lending traditions of the Duros can be interpreted this way; also, both peoples nominal had a monarchy, when actual power belonged to influential corporations). I left a question mark where I still hope to see other branches of evolution in the future (of course, I can theorize that the Kyuzo and the Roonans also descended from the Duros, but it is not a fact that this will be confirmed).
It could be said that evolution in a galaxy far, far away happens at an unrealistically fast rate, in a time frame that is insufficient for mutations to accumulate and for speciation to occur. In this regard, the emergence of the Neimoidians is a surprisingly realistic story - if you look at their upbringing system, they are, in fact, the result of selection, deliberately organized intraspecific selection. Perhaps Neimoidia was an unsuccessful planet for terraforming, and its colonizers chose a strategy of changing themselves in order to survive. The external differences between the two species are not so expressive. Neimoidians look more robust due to thick bones and pronounced bony protuberances, which may be a consequence of the high gravity. Their large eyes provide better vision, necessary in the foggy atmosphere, and they have a slightly different shape of teeth (but not their number) - the enlargement of the molars is associated with a large amount of mushrooms in their diet. Also, I believe their lungs have become even more capacious, and the fact that their intense breathing under stress is noticeable despite the multi-layered clothing is explained by this, and not only by the fact that they breathe like lizards, using intercostal muscles rather than the diaphragm (the same muscles are used in both species when laughing, which is why their body shakes slightly when they laugh). I don't know about Neimoidia, but Cato Neimoidia should definitely have thin air, and in such conditions, lung capacity matters. The main difference between the two species, which allows us to consider them not just two races, is in reproduction and development. The system of intraspecific selection has also changed the mentality of the Neimoidians, for whom it is still important to avoid troubles, in that they prefer not to take risks searching for better living conditions, but to create them on the spot. Although their priority baceme a sedentary, stable and measured way of life, they inherit those qualities of their ancestors that make many of them quite outstanding captains of spaceships. Their people are more inclined to follow traditions and take pride in their culture, and also believe that they do not repeat the mistakes of the Duros in relation to their worlds. The noble Neimoidian depicted in the right against the background of his home planet has a belt with an image of a sacred beetle. In the formation of the Neimoidian civilization, as once for the civilization of the Duros, giant semi-sentient beetles play a significant role, performing important work in the sphere of food production (fefze may have served a similar role to harvester beetles before planetary pollution damaged their nervous systems).
In the upper right corner is a modern Duros in front of an orbital city, one of twenty located around his home planet, now almost uninhabitable. You can see that over the course of several thousand years, some changes have taken place - the head has become even larger, especially the braincase, and the face has become flatter. Blue coloration has continued to become widespread and acquire quite bright shades that could not originally appear in nature. In my opinion, the Duros, who have a wide variety of shades of blue, lilac and turquoise skin, are colored structurally, like Earth reptiles and birds, so some of them have skin color that may look different depending on the lighting. The Neimoidians, on the other hand, lack blue color completely, which can be easily explained by the different structure of their skin. Modern Duros are not too concerned with tradition and often dress practically, but jewelry in the form of rings remains quite popular.

Portrait of an Empire
Flufftober
Day 20: Paw
It had been a long time since Sheev had had cause to be around babies. Children, even—not counting the Queen of Naboo, of course. Despite his galaxies of knowledge about infinitely useful topics such as Sith alchemy, trade and tax laws of the Republic, the history of certain clothing designs, art dealers and the art world, and, most importantly, how to manipulate people, he did not know how to hold a baby.
And now Vader was hovering at his shoulder. And Mas Amedda was standing, stock still beside him, radiating disdain. And there was a holocam in his face.
Sheev lifted Luke like he was presenting a particularly tall trophy. “Behold,” he said, weaker than he’d intended. “My grandson.”
Luke made a face as he shifted. At least one of the camera operators gasped in horror.
Right. Not that way, then.
Sheev shifted his grip to Luke’s buttocks and lifted him up against his chest, so Luke was staring wide-eyed over his shoulder at Vader. Vader made an anxious noise. Luke farted. The smell sank into Sheev’s robes, and he worried something else might follow.
“One more moment, please,” he asked—he did not beg—from the interviewer, whose carefully blank face blatantly belied her horror.
He pawed at Luke’s head and lowered him again, so he was horizontal. There were a few more gasps, and Vader definitely reached out at one point to either snatch the boy away or catch him when he inevitably fell, but he did not reach out far enough for the holocams to pick him up. Luke fell back into this grip with a happy squeal, staring up at Sheev with his blue eyes. He felt very fragile. Sheev brought his arms in to hold him a little more securely, right against his chest.
The interviewer breathed a small sigh of relief. “Now,” she said with a winning smile, “we can begin. We’re coming to you live today with His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Palpatine himself! Alongside Lord Vader, and his absolutely adorable son—”
Luke was still watching Sheev, fascinated. Sheev watched him back. Unconsciously, he began to sway, and Luke gave a little coo when he did. He laughed. Sheev did not share his laugh, but he did watch him more intently.
The tiny twitch of the muscles of his face. His small, trembling noises. Those clear, expansive eyes…
“Your Majesty?” the interviewer was saying. It sounded like she’d repeated the question several times already. “How do you feel about this new addition to the Imperial family?”
Sheev didn’t feel the need to answer that.

Summary: Reader is a spider!person from earth-2099 and Kate Bishop is curious about why she's so drawn to them.
The suit was hidden behind the back panel of your closet, a small piece of faux wood that had been glued down, but then dampened away. It was easy to pop away from the rest of the structure.
You used the light of your phone, the small circle catching the vibrant colors, the blacks and the poisonous red, the deep silvers that reflected with the green of your inhuman eyes. You were content to leave it here, in this universe, when just two days ago you were going to rip a hole into the space-time continuum.
“Your place is…”
“Sad. It’s sad.” You pulled the suit the rest of the way out, rising to your feet. Kate was leaning by the window, looking at the view of the rain-damp street. Her features were shaded with a flashing green sign, then a dark orange. “You can say it.”
“Yeah, it’s sad. You need some like, houseplants or something.”
You couldn’t help the smile that bloomed against your lips. Decorating had never been your forte. Your Kate had a designer’s eye, and by the way this universe’s Kate scrunched up her nose and tracked the wall space with her grey stare, you knew this one did too.
She took the edge of the suit into her hands when you got close enough for her to do so. You both held the fabric, her fingers tracing the horizontal lines that wicked electroplate. Your breath mingled with hers, eyes moving from the suit, lingering for just a moment on her lips before you thought better of it and focused on the large spider emblem in the center.
“You know I don’t-“
“Can we talk?”
You both spoke at the same time, heat moving to your cheeks. You shook your head, chuckling nervously “You go.”
Kate took a deep breath and squeezed the fabric, letting out a small, tepid breath. You had never seen her nervous before. There was always a confidence to her actions and her words. There was a pinkness to her skin, moving up past the collar of her shirt.
“Things are complicated, and I understand that. You’re from another universe, your homicidal father could be here any minute with your brother who also really, really wants to kill you.”
“Kate,”
“Right, sorry. That’s not the point. Do you remember the day that you moved in?”
Of course, you did. You were wet, and cold and had placed your clothes on the radiator to dry off. Once they had, you wandered down to the lower part of the building. There were a few damp dollars in your pocket and it was just a short walk to the bodega. Your stomach clenched in hunger.
Kate was pushing every button on the directory, soft beeps moving through the lobby. You glanced around, looking up the stairway, down the hall where a room full of washing machines lumbered in a near-silent hum.
Eventually, you opened the door, staring at the woman in front of you. Rain dripped from her hood, loose strands of hair saturated. Her eyes were gray, something you noticed under the light positioned above the door. Her breath was puffing in front of her. Kate would leave you slack-jawed in every universe, you decided in that moment.
“I… forgot my key.” She smiled weakly.
You couldn’t manage words, instead you stepped aside, watching as she lugged a few bags in with her, a few drops hitting her jacket after sliding across her nose. This was a cruel joke. You’d entered this world without permission and now karma was testing you as it always had. There was no way to avoid her.
“You know, you shouldn’t go barefoot in here. This building is not up to code.”
You croaked out “Shoes are wet,”
Kate smiled and it made your knees feel weak. You shoved your hands into your dampened pockets. Where were your manners? Buried under the pure shock that came with the ringing in your ears, was your natural instinct to cater to not only Kate, but every single person you came across.
After learning how to play the piano when you were six years old, your mother ushered you into the cello, and then the violin. Anything she could get her hands on. You’d play at family gatherings, and at charity events. Your music became guilt, and that guilt became the need to please.
In this case, it manifested in offering to help Kate upstairs with her bags. Anything was better than the out of order sign on the elevator, and even if it was in working order, you wouldn’t trust it with your life- unnaturally fast healing or not.
Your fingers brushed against hers and the both of you pulled back as electricity danced across your skin and ended at your elbow. It pulsed, something of undeniable warmth that was replaced with a deep cold. The only way to quell it would be to press your fingers against hers, to touch her once more.
“Sorry,” You apologized quickly, filling the awkward space by grabbing half of her bags and sprinting up the stairs. You smiled “Race you.”
Kate seemed disoriented, blinked a few times. “You don’t even know where I live!”
You had feigned being out of breath when you got to the top of the stairs and Kate thanked you profusely for helping her with the groceries. Your heart beat a little faster knowing that she lived across the hall. And naively you believed you could form a friendship.
“Of course, I remember.”
“It’s all I thought about for days.” Kate scoffed, shaking her head. “There were so many times when I just stood in front of your door, waiting to knock before I realized I had no good reason to talk to you. And the thing is, Y/n, I knew that you felt it too that day. And I know that you’ve felt it everyday since.”
“Kate, there are-“
“Circumstances, I know. What happened to your Kate, and so many Kate’s in-between is… I can’t even imagine what you’ve gone through. But maybe after all of this time, the universe is doing something for you”
You swallowed hard, trying to quell the dryness in your mouth. Weak light is cast against her features and her expression is hopeful. The two of you had stepped closer, inadvertently through recall of memories. Her exhale was warm against your collarbone, you closed your eyes and whimpered.
Kate’s hand softly cupped your cheek, and you leaned into it, her thumb gently tracing the contours of your face. “Sometimes, you have to do something for yourself. Sometimes, you have to take what you deserve.”
You opened your eyes, stared into Kate’s. They had the same gold flecks, the same rings of emotion that bloomed from the iris. You leaned forward and took what you wanted, pressed your lips against Kate’s and melted into the kiss. She hummed against your lips, dropping the suit and using the collar of your shirt to pull herself closer.
Your hands were on her hips, squeezing mildly to assure that she was there. Kate tasted honey-sweet, her tongue moving against your bottom lip, begging for entrance. The kiss was slow and deliberate. You never wanted to pull away.
That same electric feeling was dancing across your throat, filling your body with tendrils of fate. Kate’s fingers were smoothed across your jaw. She pulled back, drew in a sloppy breath. Her forehead was against yours, both of you panting.
Kate’s voice was a mulled whisper “There’s no way I’m letting you leave now.”
“I wasn’t planning on it.”
That was easier said than done, you realized, not fifteen minutes later when your apartment was brimming with people you had yet to meet in this world. All of whom had explicit opinions about your decorating skills (lack thereof) and you as a person.
You felt uncomfortable and exposed, your suit hugging your body, mask in hand, arms crossed over your midsection. Kate’s eyes lingered on you, the tightness of the mesh not leaving too much to the imagination. You felt your cheeks heat up, clearing your throat.
Kate really had rallied the troupes. You had to hand it to her. This felt like an odd meeting of a group of superheroes that had a higher body count than the Avengers themselves. And still, you waited awkwardly for the last few people to straggle in.
“So let me get this straight,” Yelena said, leaning against your empty kitchen counter. “You are Spiderman, but Peter is also Spiderman?”
“Yes,” You both answered at the same time, shooting each other a quiet look. You cleared your throat and continued. “I’m from Earth-2099, I’m that worlds Spiderman.”
Cassie raised her hand in a small wave, calling attention to herself “Did you also get bitten by a radioactive spider?”
“My father, he spliced my DNA with a spider. It was the first time he had done so successfully. Hence why he’s so determined to get me back.”
“Huh,” Clint lilted his head to the side “creepy.”
You couldn’t agree more, nodding felt like an understatement of the obsessive tracking. There was still an apprehension lurking just beneath the surface, but watching the five people that surrounded you, so willing to help, some of the weight had been lifted.
Yelena Belova eyed you nervously, she was slow to trust, and it seemed even slower in this world. You could hardly blame her. She was a spy, after all. There had been worlds where she never broke free from her widow hold. There were others where she was never inducted in the first place.
There was one in particular that you remembered where Yelena had been a wedding caterer. That freaked you out more than anything you had seen likewise. Right now, she had her arms crossed over her chest, eyes flitting from you, back to Kate.
“Have the two of you had sex?” she asked bluntly.
“What?”
Kate’s voice was six octaves too high. You made a startled noise and put your head in your hands. Clint made a disgusted noise that mirrored exactly how you felt. You said “Maybe we should come up with some type of strategy,”
“We should wait for the others, no?” Yelena said, shrugging her shoulders with disinterest. “There is a weird energy between the two of you. We should address it before putting ourselves into a risky situation. It can change the dynamics of the fight.”
“She has a point,” Peter said, “have you?”
Kate grits her teeth, had settled back into her place next to you. Your shoulders were against one another, and even the subtly of that touch sent currents to your fingertips. “No, we haven’t.”
Cassie asked, “but there is something there, right?”
You glanced at Kate, who had pulled her bottom lip between her teeth, chewed on it. “It’s… complicated. But I believe so.”
“There is a wedding ring on the chain around your neck.”
“Lena.” Kate warned.
“It’s alright, I get it. I’m practically a stranger. I’ve given you no reason to trust me, much-less fight beside me. In 2099, I was just a musician, and more than that, I was a wife. Kate was my wife.” You swallowed back the thickness in your throat, the metal taste in your mouth, the memories. “My father killed her.”
“That’s all I need to know.”
Rain had started to fall generously by the time you had descended the stairs in the apartment building. There were spots that you knew to avoid; a sliver at the top of the third-floor landing that wasn’t sealed against the weather. A bucket on the stretch between doors 207 and 205.
Normally, these areas would be something you took note of in passing. But today, you lingered. The warmth had slowly left your bones the closer you got to the lobby. You craved Kate’s touch, her reassurance. This was the first time you had been alone in the last few days.
There was anger there, too, mixed cruelly with the fear. It made the suit hugging your body hot and sticky. Your father had always pushed you to the side, had moved you to the very edge of the family photos as a power trip. He’d entertain your one-minute of stage time between tentative bites of mashed potatoes and pot roast.
The darkness in his eyes lingered each time you closed your own. There were small bursts of rage that would escape him. He’d snap at your mother in a hushed voice. Your father’s receptionist would sob quietly into wadded up tissues as you waited to be buzzed in. His hand would move fast, reddening the skin of your cheek.
You knew better than to lift your gaze. The one time that you did, he delivered another open-palmed smack to the face. There was a time to stand, and a time to fall. As you walked down the final flight of steps, you knew that if you wanted to stay in this universe, in the timeline that delivered you a second chance, you’d have to not only stand- but you’d also have to hit back.
The streets were nearly empty, a broken fishbone moon cracked against the sky. Dark gray clouds enveloped it, plunging you into darkness and then welcoming the pale light once more. You could hear the buzz of the neon signs over your own breathing, your mask slipping silently over your features.
Carefully, you made your way between your apartment building and one that had long since been condemned. Your eyes darted to each side, idling over bags of trash, sour and pungent as their rotted scent mixed with fallen rain. The coast was clear, and you scaled the wall with ease, slipping into a high window that had long ago been hollowed out.
You had the pocket watch. You had a plan.
Deep flashes of colors in the most vibrant of blues, and whites, and reds flashed as you removed your mask, strands of damp hair falling into your gaze. Broken beams of wood, dust and shattered glass started to hum around you, your finger on the ribbed button of the watch.
Dozens of times, had you hit this button. You’d watch as the air in front of you solidified and then tore in half, much like a piece of sheet music. Objects in the room danced around in stilted notes, a concerto of sharps and flats. You breathed in the electricity of the room. The composition threatened to pull you in, begged you to let its tendrils grip onto your fingers, weave into your veins.
This time, you wouldn’t let it. Your finger moved from the switch, and everything went dark. The room baked in silence, your chest heaving up and down. Glass, nails, and insulation slammed to the unsteady floor of what was once an office, or a home. Dust had been kicked up, caught in the porcelain light.
“The light,” you explained, circling the poorly drawn building with the black marker “It’ll let you know where I am. Once you see it flashing, you need to get ready. I’m almost certain that he’ll pick up on the signal and be there within five minutes.”
“Almost?” Cassie asked, her ankles were crossed, fingers dancing strangely on your empty counter. “I don’t like almost. What if he’s faster?”
“Or slower. Are you sure that’s erasable?” Peter said.
Kate frowned at the one piece of art that you purchased. It wasn’t important, a mock copy of sunflowers by Vincent Van Gogh. The colors had faded, and the glass cracked where the wood met glass. She used her sleeve and squeaked it against the front. Erasable, it was not.
“It doesn’t matter. I’m 99.9% certain that it will take at least that long for them to get to me. Fifteen seconds for the signal to reach them, 45 seconds for the Lyla to get my exact coordinates. Three minutes for the machine to boot up, and one minute for them to travel through space and time.”
Yelena was pacing back and forth, watching each part of the map that you drew. You’d expertly rendered the stairways in the abandoned building, the entry point of each window. She chewed on her bottom lip, stopped behind Clint- who sat cross legged on the floor.
“Theoretically, there should be a weak spot in the unit above this window, correct?”
You nodded, pushing down on the cap of the marker. “The whole building will be weak. It looks like it’s been rotting since the early 2000’s.”
“I will take Cassie with me, and we will be above you. That way, we can hear if they are in that .1%. Kate and Clint, it makes sense if the two of you stay on the rooftop of this building. Range will not be an issue.”
“And me?” Peter asked.
“Outside the door,” you directed, “There’s an entry point on the west side of the building that will give you access to the hallway. You’ll have to be careful, I’m not sure how sturdy the floor is. But I want you nearby. You know how Miguel fights, what his default is. Spider-senses and all.”
Kate shook her head. “I want to be closer.”
A cacophony of voices interrupted her suggestion, yours included. Different degrees of objection. Clint shook his head, mumbling a “No way, kid” and Yelena said something in Russian that you couldn’t’ quite grasp.
“Absolutely not.”
Kate frowned, and the same fire that you had seen since you were six years old burned deep within her. You didn’t tell a Bishop what to do once they made up their mind. Not without the right type of authority, the right type of conviction.
Gently, you guided her eyes to yours, nudging her chin with the edge of your hand. “Kate, listen to me. I know you want to be there, but you simply cannot. Your blood has been on my hands once, and I swear that it’ll never be again. There is a fate worse than death at stake here.”
Your thumb moved over the smoothness of the gold ring around your throat, tucked neatly into your suit. It was a good luck charm, you supposed. Though, after slipping it from Kate’s finger, easy to do with the wetness of her wounds, before gliding into another universe, it hardly felt as such.
There were flashes as you pressed your lips to the inscription of the date propositions were made in the rain. When you clenched your eyes shut, you could see the way she held you close on prom night. Her hand was steady on the small of your back during your fathers speech. Her words were soaked in remorse as blood blossomed past cracked lips.
Your grip tightened around the ring, cold and hard. Anger welled in your chest like cracking waves against a rocky shore. It never went out to sea; however, each rush was stronger than the last. Mere seconds now, you could feel it in the air.
Kate told you that she didn’t feel any pain as she clung to your shirt that fateful night. Red swipes of blood were left against your cheek as you held her hand there, clammy and half-dead. You would do anything to take away the pain that she claimed didn’t exist.
Now, as the world around you swarmed with particles of energy and you took a small step back to avoid the ripping of space, and time, you knew that pain had been saved. It had been embedded deep within you until the moment presented itself.
You were quite unceremonious about your entries into different universes. There was typically a force that pushed you through instead of guiding you. But as you made out the two silhouettes between the flashing atoms, there was a chill that settled over you.
He was taller than you remembered, though, the last time you had seen him, he’d been dwarfed in a lab coat. His facial hair was unkempt and there were deep gray bags under his eyes. Your father had since shaved, held his shoulders back with a certain type of power that made you nauseous.
Still, you stood strong, breath coming in faster rhythm’s until you willed it to still entirely as the universe patched itself back up. Miguel postured by his side, smiling wickedly, teeth glinting against the bleached moonlight.
“I see you’ve embraced the gift I’ve given you.” His voice was gravel, his smile half-feral, half-charming as he lilted his head to the side with the slowness of a man anticipating this moment for centuries. “Spiderman.”

[ID: Eight original designs for the Sphere from the book Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions, drawn as circles against a grey background, with a long column of color palettes on one side, being crossed off as the images go. The first two images show two versions of the same design, which is black, with dark blue-green linesart. He has two eyes, and a cat-like mouth with his tongue stuck out. His eyes have black sclera, white irises, and black pupils. Above his eyes are small round eyebrows, and dark green markings like eye makeup. His tongue is dark green as he sticks it out. The second version of this drawing has a repeating pattern of many grey shapes against the black surface.
The second design is black with thin dark magenta stripes, with eight eyes arranged in a half circle, and two mouths with sharp teeth.
The third design is half white and half cyan, with round eyes with heterochromia. The right eye has a white iris and a cyan sclera, and the right has white sclera and cyan pupil. Around each eye are purple triangles pointing outward like a radiation symbol, and pairs of dark red lines between them, radiating out like sound waves. His chin has a stripe of dark green, with two thin red stripes on either side. The fourth design is pale yellow, with large dark blue eyes, and a dark blue chin under a jagged mouth like a beak. Sharp orange and black diamond shapes frame the eyes like fancy sunglasses, with orange, black, and dark blue spots on the forehead. The fifth design is horizontally striped blue, white, and dark grey. In the center is a large oval shaped light red eye with a diamond pupil, with the eye surrounded by smaller light red diamonds, with small heart shapes on the top and bottom.
The sixth design is pale yellow, with large oval eyes with pale blue-green sclera, matching large circles on the cheeks. The irises are the same yellow as the face, with dark blue pupils. Above the eyes are sky blue eye shadow, and in the center of the face is a dark blue triangle like a nose. The mouth is open in a grin, showing a blue tongue and darker blue inside.
The seventh is covered in thin horizontal stripes of pale green, yellow, and dusty blue, with sharply pointed eyes like a stylized cat, with triangle pupils and a jagged iris. The mouth stretches across the whole face, with a small black diamond in the center.
The eighth design is white and teal with diagonal curving stripes, with an animal-like face with sharp teeth, a large round nose like a cat or dog, and rounded diamond shaped eyes with dark blue sclera and green pupils.

The Sarajevo Haggadah manuscript.
The Creation Cycle
Two pages containing eight framed miniatures, each one with scene, are dedicated to the seven days of creation (Genesis Chapter 1 and 2: 1-3). The pages face each other so that the entire cycle can be viewed continously from right to left, with no need to turn the pages. The pages are divided horizontally into two sections, each containing a pair of rectangles of unequal size. The first and last rectangles (upper right on fol. 1v, and lower left on fol. 2r) are long and narrow, while the one next to each of these is correspondingly wider.
Fol. 1v, A (Scene 1) - Pre-Creation: Formless Earth
"Now the earth was formless" (Gen. 1:2a).
The opening rectangle is dedicated to the shape of the universe before Creation, as described in verse 2 of Genesis 1, the first three words of which are cited in the inscription above the miniature. The artist however depicted the second section of the verse: "and the spirit of God was hovering over the waters." "The spirit of God" is seen as wavy rays of gold against the black darkness, rising vertically above the horizontal blue waves of water set against a white background.
Fol. 1v, B (Scene 2) - The First Day: Division of Light from Darkness
"First Day / Let there be light [...] / and [God] separated the light from the darkness" (fragments from Gen 1:5; 1:3-4)
The symbolic shape of the universe is shown as an arched rectangle - a design which is repeated in the next five rectangles (Scenes 2 through 7). In this scene it is divided vertically into two distinct sections - on the right , the bright and shiny white surface represents light, while the black surface, left, signifies darkness. And though the firmament is mentioned in the biblical text only in reference to the second day, the miniature depicts a series of narrow arched bands, alternately blue and white.
Fol. 1v, C (Scene 3) – The Second Day: Separation of Sky from Water
"Second Day / Let there be a dome in the middle of the waters" (Gen. 1:8; 1:6).
As narrated in the verse, the scene depicts the division of "the waters [under the sky] from the waters [above the sky]." (The Bible says that this "separated the water under the expanse from the water above it." God called the expanse "heaven", which we night call "sky"). It is set in the basic framing format of the arch with the firmament in altering colors, here painted in blue, highlighted by whitedots along the inner side of the arch – a feature repeated in the following days (Scenes 3 through 7). From a central point in the firmament emanate golden rays, reperesenting the deity and its command, as narrated in the text. These radiate out as they reach a white circle below, representing earth, in which the waters are divided: the upper section is void (air), while the lower is illustrated with waves of water, in a similar manner to the episodeof the formless world just above.
Fol. 1v, D (Scene 4) – The Third Day: Creation of Dry Land and Vegetation
"Third Day / Let the water [...] be gathered [...] / [A]nd let dry land appear [...] / Let the earth put forth grass" (fragments from Gen. 1:13; 1:9; 1:11).
The familiar firmament design with rays of gold radioating over the circle of earth reappears here. The arched framing device is set against the alternating color – dark cinnamon. Earth is shown with the waters of the sea, above which is a stretch of land on which tall green grass and three trees are growing.
Fol. 2r, A (Scene 5) – The Fourth Day: Creation of the Sun, Moon and Stars
"Fourth Day / Let there be lights (Gen. 1:19; 1:14) / Sun, Moon and Stars."
The first scene on the facing page repeats the previous composition, with most of its details and even the cinnamon color of the background field the same. To these are added new iconographic features and notable changes. Firstly, the white and blue firmament now bears four gold stars and two circles – the sun on the right, painted in gold, while to the left, a smaller dark circle stands for the moon. While the circle of earth with the grass and trees is similar if not identical, it is the only one in the cycle that depicts the rays of light radiating from earth towards heaven and not vice versa.
Fol. 2r, B (Scene 6) – The Fifth Day: Creation of Birds, Fishes and Animals
"Fifth [Day] / Let the water teem [with swarms of living creatures] / and let birds fly above the earth" (Gen. 1:23; 1:20).
The cummulative scene of Creation is enhanced on this panel with the new creatures created on that day: different types and sizes of fish in the water, one of which is considerably larger than the others, apparently in reference to "the great whales" created on the fifth day (Gen. 1:21); a pair of birds perched on the tree tops; and four legged animals – right, an unidentified spotted beast (a leopard or cheetah?) standing on its hind legs, and left, a lion with its left forepaw raised. The latter, however, are not mentioned in the biblical text among the creatures created on the fifth day, and, unlike the fish and birds, are not mentioned in the inscription above the miniature.
The golden rays of light are once again shown as in the scenes of the second and third days, radiating from heaven towards earth.
Fol. 2r, C (Scene 7) – The Sixth Day: Creation of More Animals and Man
"Sixth Day / Let the earth bring forth each kind of living creature (Gen. 1:31; 1:24) / Creation of Man."
The last episode with the scheme of earth set in an arched rectangle, set here against a blue field, has some of the faunal motifs from the previous scene and some new ones – set in a slightly different format. However, the main addition is the relatively large figure of a naked reclining man. This is obviously Adam, modeled on Christian prototypes – omitting the figure of the female, created with Adam according to the corresponding text (Gen. 1:27). The caption given to the scene ("Creation of Man") is indeed not a direct quote from the biblical text.
Fol. 2r, D (Scene 8) – The Seventh Day - Day of Rest
"Sabbath Day."
The last image in the seven-day creation cycle differs from the previous scenes. It depicts a seated man set in a new framework consisting of a trefoil Gothic arch with golden spandrels, and a building with a pair of windows in the background. The man is bearded and dressed in a long gown and cap, as are other male figures in the subsequent pages. Some Christian cycles skip this scene while others show God resting. Based on the latter, von Schlosser and Muller identified the figure as the Jewish God, who looks different from the Creator in the corresponding depictions. This hypothesis was not accepted, and later scholars assumed that this is a man (perhaps even a Cataln Jew), seated in restful and calm mood, as is typical in Jewish tradition on the Sabbath. Here again, the inscribed caption is not a direct quote; in fact the name of the seventh day, Shabbat, appears for the first time only in the book of Exodus. Despite the new framework and composition adopted for this scene, the artist actually connects it visually with the previous days of Creation by reusing the white dots along the inner side of the trefoil arch.
The Sarajevo Haggadah manuscript is an exquisite example of Medieval Hebrew illuminated and decorative art. The Haggadah (story) is a Passover Haggadah read during the Jewish feast of Passover. It contains a collection of lyrical works from the “Golden Age” of Jewish-Arab culture from the 10th-13th centuries, prayers for the Passover feast and instructions for the evening prayer on Passover eve. It’s one the first, perhaps only, illuminated Jewish manuscripts and has survived a range of trials and tribulations over the centuries. It evokes times when Christians, Jews and Muslims lived together in medieval Spain and offers testimony to the expulsion of Jews from Spain.
