It is my sincerest and unironic belief that we must invest in preserving "old technology." The more we move to a hegemonic, easily-surveilled way of living, the worse we will find this world to be.

Letters, public phones and transport, cash, and so much more are key to ensuring both freedom of movement and information, but also to combat the surveillance state. We need to preserve the ability to both access the world but also to be untraceable. I truly hope more people start to recognize this. It isn't about nostalgia for the past. It is about ensuring that we are actually afforded freedom, from the richest person to the person who lives on the sidewalk.

We all know Phoenix is down bad when it comes to Miles, if the career thing switch was not enough. One thing I(and all of us tbh) latched onto was also when he said “I tried to get in touch with him I don't know how many times... He never replied” to Maya in Turnabout Goodbyes. That obviously implies a dozen letters or calls, maybe a mix of both(the anime shows it was letters). Yet something I always wondered though is who the hell gave Phoenix that information, like an address or a phone number. I guess ‘tried’ could imply he just tried to find that info, but the “never replied” part implies he already did everything on his end, and that drives me crazy.

Was he internet stalking? Was he just stalking stalking? Who did he have to talk to? Where did he look? So many questions…and I can’t entirely doubt Phoenix stalked knowing his feenie era(and how he is in general), considering how he acts about people he’s crazy about. Does Miles have like a website where all that info is out in the open?

In turnabout goodbyes, Miles trying to hide DL-6, and him explaining who Manfred Von Karma was just shows Phoenix doesn’t know shit…but knew back then apparently where Miles lived or his phone number to be able to bombard him with attempts at contact. It’s kinda freaky in the interesting way. Miles moved away when he was like 9, so whatever Phoenix found out about him later was either by chance(the newspaper articles) or stuff he had to purposefully search for.

In summary: I just love my obsessive little freak named Phoenix Wright. But what are his secrets for figuring out where his crush was at? Asking for reasons…

i dont think ive mentioned this yet but i did turn this tf2 piece into a sticker sheet and its doing pretty well on etsy!! im thinking of moving away from homestuck and focusing more on tf2 merch......i do want to make a troll sticker sheet in this similar style but id love to make more tf2 prints and stickers!! they are silly guys and people seem to really like stuff like this

hey, genuinely thank you for sharing the experience you had at the bar. It made me feel less alone when having a reaction to something that some people saw as irrational, but made a lot of sense in the context of my personal trauma. I’m glad I read what you had to say, it reminded me I wasn’t alone, and I just want to remind you that being a trauma survivor is incredibly complicated in new and unforeseen ways all the time and even when people don’t understand your experiences it doesn’t take away from the fact that you’ve survived things most people can’t even imagine. I’m reminding myself of this too!

Is this why Ark won't straight up confess?

Oh my WORD I'd forgotten I made a meme of that. Long story short, yeah! Pretty much!

There's a cut (but still canonical) scene this is based on early in The Present is a Gift where Ark, sans memories, basically says he's very fond of Twig and he's happy he met her and is able to call her a friend. Twig doesn't straight up tell him she'll slide him a fifty if he never says that again in the original scene, but she gets VERY noticeably uncomfortable and he permanently backs off on the Words of Affirmation front.

After that, he has this lingering fear that she'll react the same way if he were ever to propose a romantic relationship, and so his ex-villain brain constantly comes up with elaborate schemes that minimize emotional risks and have Twig make the first move in response to actions he takes that may or may not be interpreted as platonic or perhaps something more, therefore shifting all risks off of himself in the process.

TL;DR--- Man's scared of rejection and has masterminded a situation in which Twig is the only one to risk direct rejection, therefore guaranteeing success... If she wasn't an idiot and would pick up on his hints.
