Thinking about being an actor in a TV show like You or a performer in a theatre show like The Phantom of the Opera, and your co-star, the obsessive villain, plays his role excellently. He's raw in his expression, his character is vibrant and needs no notes from the director, but still stands by his method-acting.
MDNI!! Gn-reader, slight nsft, yandere
──────────────────────
When he scowls at the makeup artist that has you in the chair for too long, he's flashing a grin and laughing it off as 'thinking about how his character would react.' He's gotten into a bad habit of messing up takes/rehearsals by saying your name instead of your characters. He's online often, reposting fanart and edits that border close to RPF. He's finding any excuse to flirt in-character at interviews or panels.
He doesn't think it's wrong to have journals with your name scrawled in it more times than he has lines, since it's what his character would do and he has to get this right. (And your name is easier to write again and again than your character!)It's not wrong to snicker as he watches wardrobe go crazy after the third missing shirt, knowing damn well it's in his trailer, safe and sound locked in his shoebox filled with keepsakes—well, his character's shoebox! And the keepsakes are of your character! Not you! Even though you and your character are so similar...
It's definitely not wrong to read fanfiction between your characters. If he understands how the fandom perceives him, he'll be able to use that to characterize! Except... well, they aren't getting it right, so he might as well write his own. It's not like he has an endless well of fantasies, he's just very committed to characterization!

The interview X Will Poulter
MasterList
Will Poulter Masterlist

Some people prepare for interviews with research, a list of questions, and maybe a cup of tea to steady the nerves.
I, on the other hand, was in a broom cupboard, wearing a wig from the costume department, oversized sunglasses, and a trench coat so long it dragged across the floor like a budget Sherlock Holmes.
“This is stupid,” I muttered to myself, adjusting the blonde wig that was sliding off my head with every breath.
But I’d made a bet. A very public, very ridiculous bet with the crew. If Will could make it through a press day without using the word “mental,” I’d have to conduct an entire interview with him in disguise. His favourite word, for the record, was used so frequently it should’ve been in the film’s script.
Of course, the one day he actually behaved himself was the one day I forgot he was competitive and a little smug.
So here I was. Ready to commit to the bit.
The room was already set up for interviews. Camera crew ready, lighting perfect, the PR rep outside chatting casually with a makeup artist. And there was Will, sitting comfortably in a chair across from the empty one I was meant to fill, looking like a bloody movie star in a plain white t-shirt and black jeans. Hair tousled, smile easy, and completely unaware that I was about to make a fool of myself.
“Alright, who’s this mystery interviewer then?” he asked the room.
“That’d be me,” I said, putting on the worst accent known to mankind somewhere between Scottish and… Australian?
Will turned to me and immediately raised an eyebrow.
“Oh absolutely not,” he said, bursting into laughter.
I strutted in, adjusting my sunglasses. “’Scuse me, sir. Professional journalist here, thank you very much.”
“Y/N, you look like you’ve lost a bet and half your dignity.”
I plopped into the chair opposite him, flipping open a notebook I’d borrowed from props. “I’ll have you know, I am one Gertrude Simmons. I write for Cinema Cuppa. Very exclusive.”
“Cinema Cuppa?” he said, chuckling. “That’s not even a real...wait, hang on, is this wig from the bar scene?”
“I have no idea what you’re referring to, sir,” I said in my very dodgy accent, clinging to character by the thread of my sanity. “Let’s begin, shall we?”
Will leaned back, arms crossed, clearly delighted. “Go on then, Gertrude.”
“Thank you. First question,” I said, looking at my notes. “What drew you to this role? And how does it feel playing the second-best romantic lead in the film?”
He blinked. “Second-best?”
“Yes,” I nodded gravely. “The female lead is just… dazzling. Captivating. Rumour is she’s a genius.”
“Oh is that right?” he said, biting back a grin. “I’ve heard she’s late to set and talks to her snacks.”
I gave him a death glare through my oversized sunglasses. “She’s method.”
He laughed again. “You’re ridiculous.”
“I don’t know who you’re referring to, but I’ll pass the compliment along.”
He leaned forward, elbows on his knees, eyes twinkling. “This is honestly one of the worst disguises I’ve ever seen. I’m so glad we’re recording this.”
“I’ll have you know,” I said, pushing the wig out of my eyes, “this look is intentional. It’s postmodern. Like if Nancy Drew and a telly remote had a baby.”
Will chuckled, shaking his head. “I genuinely can’t believe you’re committing to this.”
I cleared my throat and tried again. “Next question: Do you believe in love at first sight, or do you think that’s just something they made up for bad rom-coms?”
His expression softened, just slightly. “I believe in chemistry. Instant connection, yeah. But love? I think love comes later. When you’ve seen the person on a bad day. When you know how they take their tea. When they’ve seen you sulk because someone ate the last biscuit.”
My chest warmed at that. Typical Will always managing to sound poetic even when talking about biscuits.
“And do you think,” I said, keeping my voice steady, “that chemistry can be acted, or does it have to be real?”
He studied me, the question hanging in the air.
“I think it can be sparked on set, yeah,” he said. “But the best kind? The kind people feel that’s real. That’s the stuff you can’t fake.”
I swallowed, hard. Was it suddenly warm in here?
“Well, how lucky for you that your co-star is so talented, then,” I mumbled, hiding behind the notebook.
He smirked. “Yeah. She is.”
There was a pause. A long, charged one. And then
“Next question!” I blurted.
The rest of the interview was a blur of snark, giggles, and failed attempts to hold character. I asked him about his skincare routine (“mostly just stress and hope”), if he could do a backflip (he tried once, cracked his ankle, never again), and who his favourite Muppet was “Miss Piggy. She’s iconic. Bit of a diva. Reminds me of someone…”.
I retaliated by dramatically adjusting my sunglasses and muttering, “I will end you, sir.”
He was doubled over laughing by that point. The crew, too, had mostly stopped pretending this was anything other than a chaotic fever dream.
By the end, the wig was askew, I’d sweat through the trench coat, and Will had tears of laughter in his eyes.
“I’ve got to hand it to you,” he said as I stood to leave. “That was brilliant.”
“Thank you,” I said, dropping the accent finally. “I’ve decided Gertrude Simmons might get her own talk show.”
“She’d be cancelled by episode two.”
We walked off set together, my disguise slowly disintegrating like Cinderella at midnight.
He nudged me with his elbow. “You know, I’ve worked with a lot of actors. But none of them have ever interviewed me dressed like a crime-fighting pensioner.”
“High praise.”
“I mean it,” he said, smiling. “You’re not just talented. You’re fun. That’s rare.”
I looked at him, really looked at him. And for a moment, I didn’t feel like we were just co-stars on a job. I felt like maybe we were on the cusp of something else.
“You know,” I said slowly, “if this acting thing doesn’t work out, I might go full-time as an investigative reporter.”
“Let me know when you land your first scoop,” he replied. “I’ll be your inside source. For a price.”
“What’s the price?”
“Dinner,” he said, simply. “Your choice. No trench coats allowed.”
I grinned.
“Deal.”
Later that night, I collapsed on the hotel bed, wig flung across the floor like a dead possum. My phone buzzed with a message from Will:
You, me, dinner. Tomorrow. No disguises. Just us. xx
I smiled, biting my lip.
Who would’ve thought a badly executed prank interview would be the start of something so real?
Sometimes, chemistry doesn’t need a script.
Sometimes, it’s just there even if you’re wearing a wig and talking like a confused tour guide.

Jimin as a Method Actor
As a nerd, when I write a think-piece or analysis, I have to define my terms and goals for this piece to start out. My post is about how I think, while not trained in the Method, Jimin really embodies method acting in music videos and on stage.
Method Acting: Common to popular misconception, Method acting is not about being “in character” throughout the course of an acting project. Instead, an actor who uses “the Method” draws upon either past emotional memories or a deep analysis of a character’s motivations to embody the truths of the role that they are playing.
The Jimin quote that gave me this impression was when he told WeVerse Magazine in the interview dated 7/31/2021, “I never noticed before but the songs do sound different depending on what I’m wearing. Sometimes I danced all excitedly when I wore casual clothes, but when I wore a suit, something about the song sounded sexy. There’s a different vibe when I dance alone versus when I dance as part of a group, so I visualize how I should dress to make my dancing look cooler every time.” This response tells me that he uses costuming to get into character on stage, and it’s always a slightly different character that still fits with the theme of the story. There are several videos on YouTube comparing how he changes the vibe of GoGo, Boy With Love, and Dynamite among others depending on the styling. It’s a sort of “obvious in hindsight” thing that made me watch a lot of Jimin fancams and really look at the subtle differences he incorporates.
The whole interview is really interesting, especially coming from the puff-piece prone in-house magazine, because Jimin is very open about his process. He mentions earlier in the interview that he had to modify his process for the English trilogy, and that it was more difficult for him to dance to concept-less songs.
I’m paraphrasing, but he described the Butter dance as difficult to execute at first before he had to find the groove through amalgamating the approaches of other members to the song. The way he contrasted the two song groupings was interesting: previous songs and albums were “a concept” where he “wanted to show off something about myself in that context”; the English trilogy was based in “following the feeling of conveying the feelings I want to share with others”. In short, he struggled without enough storytelling in the dance to develop a character to embody on stage. In my book, that’s Method acting.
You even see it in RunBTS episodes. I think the production team of that show is aware of it, because he’s way more prone to acting whiny/silly and doing aegyo when he’s been styled really young or cutesy, and much more adult in his playfulness/mischief when dressed his age. It’s all in the way he holds himself, in my opinion. It also makes him a great model, because he can sell any outfit concept.
I think it’s also why his parts are generally the most-replayed in Music Videos, despite not being one of the two fandom-designated actors. Every time you see him in a music video, even if it’s a short part, he is firmly in character, defined by the song concept, album concept and the outfit in that scene. Look at LY:Her for example. There’s a clear difference between the Intro: Serendipity Jimin and the DNA Jimin, despite them being on the same album and sharing a common theme of idealistic, naive love. Serendipity is about the dreaminess of first love, expressed through the character of the Little Prince. In DNA his character is still dreamy at times, but overall resolving to convince a partner of your commitment and he is much more naturalistic (by which I mean less ethereal) in his portrayal of the DNA character.
He stars in Intro:Serendipity, playing a character that apparently Koreans compared to the Little Prince. It’s a French science fantasy novella (I read it as a pre-teen) about a child prince who learned life lessons as he travels across planets, eventually ending up on Earth and sharing his experiences with the narrator. The whole music video seems to be based upon that character and novella, and Jimin does a really good job of portraying a dreamy, slightly otherworldly feeling in that performance, including staying composed and calm while doing stunt work. Instead of relying on dance and costuming, here he is actually acting wordlessly as he lip-syncs to the camera, and he made an iconic piece of art. I love this music video.
In DNA he is one of the seven member cast, with four outfit changes and choreography to set the tone for the performance. He is almost entirely a supporting character in this music video, so I’m judging the four character variants purely on split-second vibes. Anyone reading this has seen the music video, so I’m calling the outfits sparkly jacket, white sweater with red stripe, yellow jacket, and navy heart shirt. In the sparkly jacket he has a slightly untouchable, suave vibe, in the white sweater he smirks a little, in the yellow jacket he’s dancing playfully and is a little bro-y in the non dancing couch scene, and in the heart shirt he’s back to a dreamy character like Serendipity but with an extra edge. I don’t even know if the differences are intentional or subconscious, but it’s deeply impressive and makes him a phenomenal dancer to watch on screen. I’m a ballet fan, so wordless character embodiment is a favorite medium of acting to watch.
If you go through all their music videos and focus on Jimin, he’s always doing this. He’s got an idea in his head about what his character is, how it relates to himself (see the above quote about how he approaches concepts), how his character interacts and plays off of the other members, and how the styling influences the character’s presentation. Even more impressively, it’s all in micro expressions, not overacted or very noticeable at first glance. In other words, he quietly plays his character in the background when not in focus, but takes over the scene when it’s his part.
He definitely leaned into this tendency in his solo work. He kept the sets and abrupt scene changes fairly minimal in his four solo music videos, with 3/4 having one set and Like Crazy having 5 interrelated sets (dreamy blue intro, house, club, bathroom, black set with couple) that tell a story. The reason I think so many of his fans, especially the ones who got into BTS pre-English trilogy, love his music videos so much is because of the deeply well-thought out storylines that influence the sets, costuming, and scene changes. I’ll probably follow this post up with a Like Crazy storyline MV analysis of my own, through the lens of what his character is portraying as opposed to declaring what he’s trying to say, but this is a long enough ramble as it is. But overall, I think that Jimin’s method acting ability is a important contributor to his IT factor that many fans overlook when trying to explain his stage presence.

According to Sven Borg, who studied drama in Stockholm and was Garbo’s interpreter during her first years in Hollywood, it was common knowledge in Stockholm theater circles that Stiller was looking for a beautiful female puppet through which to express himself. After Stiller made Erotikon, according to Victor Seastrom, he was obsessed with this idea. He had suggested his scheme to several Swedish actresses, but they turned him down. When he cast Greta in Gösta Berling, she was more than twenty years younger than he, and while he was famous, she was unknown; surely, he could mold her. To become the clone of a teacher violated the Delsarte system, but Greta was overwhelmed by her swift promotion from a neophyte to the world’s greatest actress, which was what Stiller promised her she would become as his protégée. He also wanted to mold her into a version of his female self. Stiller was masculine and tough, but he had a feminine side. Since he wasn’t willing to represent it himself, which might reveal his homosexuality, he decided to create a woman in his image. According to Victor Seastrom, Stiller wanted his ideal woman to be sophisticated, scornful, and superior, but humanely warm, like Tora Teje, with the deep emotion and mysticism that Mary Johnson displayed in Sir Arne’s Treasure. In using these words, Seastrom described not only the mature Greta Garbo but also the ideal beauty of Garbo’s era: sophisticated, scornful, and superior, but humanely warm, and deeply emotional and mysterious—in other words, “glamorous,” which was Hollywood’s watchword in the 1930s. In coaching Greta, Stiller acted out her scenes for her, and then, when she did them, he praised her extravagantly one minute and criticized her severely the next, to break her down and reshape her. During the filming of The Saga of Gösta Berling, he put her through many retakes. Garbo said that she went through Gethsemane in making that film—a reference to Christ’s dark hour in the garden of Gethsemane before the crucifixion. Sometimes Greta broke down, calling Stiller names and crying, until he put his arms around her and soothed her. “Moje knows what is best for you,” he would say. (“Moje” was his nickname.) When he was displeased with anyone, Stiller would say, “I think I go home now,” meaning where he lived. Nils Asther, who studied with Stiller and serviced him sexually, stated that “Stiller had demonic control over all of us.” Silent film star Emil Jannings called him “the Stanislavski of the cinema.” In the Stanislavski method, actors go deep into their memory to use their past experiences to create the characters they play. Konstantin Stanislavski was a director at the Moscow Art Theatre, not that far from Stockholm; Stiller must have known about his technique. Garbo identified with Stiller. While they were in Stockholm, he taught her how to dress, to wear makeup, to walk and talk. He took her to fine restaurants and introduced her to his friends, who were surprised by how much she copied him. She went with Stiller in his roadster to towns and villages around Stockholm, buying antiques for the manor houses in The Saga of Gösta Berling. It was Stiller who first said, “I think I go home.” That phrase, rendered in dialect as “I t’ink I go home,” became a famous “Garboism,” the silly sayings American journalists attributed to her. Stiller refused to give interviews about his past or his private life, and Garbo eventually adopted that stance, too. She picked up “his pixie sense of humor, mixed with a dead-pan appreciation of the ridiculous,” as well as his perfectionism and his ironic attitude toward life. Yet, her identification with Stiller was never complete. When filming The Torrent, her first MGM film, she wrote to Mimi Pollak that she couldn’t stand having anyone control her, although she added that she felt as though she was married to Stiller—or she was his unmarried widow, a confused explanation of their complex relationship. Greta Garbo in The Saga of Gösta Berling (1924) directed by Mauritz Stiller

I have come to dislike the frequent take in the Star Wars fandom that the galactic civil war or clone wars are meant to be X real life war, usually Vietnam or wwii
Yes, they do have parallels to those wars, but they also have parallels to dozens of other conflicts, like yknow that infamous quote where Lucas compares the Rebellion's fight with the empire to Vietnam which everyone and their mother uses to say "see! The empire is supposed to be the us because us evil!" Yknow that one? Well Lucas also in that same interview compares the Rebellion v empire war to the American Revolution
And that is because you cannot neatly fit the conflicts of SW into boxes matching real life wars, SW draws from too many real wars to say any of its wars are this real life war IN SPACE! and and conversely trying to match up real life conflicts with the ones in SW oversimplifies the real and complicated history of those wars
Like in the oft touted example of the galactic civil war being Vietnam war in space:
by this logic the empire should be a democratic republic who opts to negotiate an end of the war when it becomes politically unfeasible at home who only entered the conflict in the first place under the rational that if one nation fell to the rebels political ideology then that ideology would spread to other nations, and the Rebellion should be communists who impose dictatorship and oppression on their own when they win and go to war with other nations of similar ideological leanings to them for geostrategic reasons, until decades later both the empire and Rebels bury the hatchet out of concern for another power
But that's not quite how it goes is it?
The galactic civil war is not Vietnam in space, it is the military tactics and strategies of Vietnam with the figh for democracy and republic from the American Revolution and dozens of other independence/pro democracy wars, with empire dressed in the trappings nazi germany, the ideology and methods of multiple fascists/totalitarian/authoritarian states, and a dark overlord at its head who is a combination of Nixon, napoleon, Caesar, hitler, and satan
And that's why it resonates, why it's so timeless, real wars end, and eventually they pass out of living memory, wwii is 20-30 years from being so, Vietnam is 50, bit the idea at the core of SW, of freedom vs tyranny, of democracy vs dictatorship, of good vs evil will always be something people can understand

Always in all ways. (read with this song in mind) (Warning: angst, breakup, emotional distance, regret. No happy ending.)
The sky was gray the day he left.
You stood at the airport, arms wrapped tightly around yourself, like it was the only thing holding you together. Sae’s suitcase was already loaded. His boarding pass printed. Everything was in place—because that’s how he lived his life. Methodical. Calculated. Every step thought out in advance.
Everything…except you.
“I’ll come back,” he said quietly, staring at you with those distant sea-green eyes. The ones you used to feel so safe in. The ones that never flinched, never faltered. Except now, they didn’t quite meet yours.
You smiled, you still smiled for him. Even when it hurt, something within you is telling you to just stop him. Make him stay here-- with you. “I know.”
But knowing didn’t make it easier.
He left. And you stayed. He chased his dream. And you waited. And waited. And waited.
Spain swallowed him whole. He became someone you only saw through headlines and scoreboards. Itoshi Sae scores again. MVP. Rising star. You watched every game. Every interview. Hung onto every clipped sentence he spoke in press conferences, searching for any sign of you in them. But there was nothing. Not a single word about you. Not a single word at all. Does he still care for you? Is this a mistake? constantly waiting for him like a dog without it's owner.
Your calls slowed. His replies turned from hours to days. And when you finally said, "I can’t do this anymore," he only answered with silence. And you let go first, even though it felt like dying. He was already gone anyway.
Two years later, he comes home. He steps off the plane in Tokyo, the same one he boarded back then, and the air feels heavier. He’s won trophies, signed endorsements, lived every piece of the life he swore he wanted.
And yet.
And yet.
He finds himself standing in front of your apartment door. The place he memorized so well he could have found it in his sleep. He raises his hand to knock but lets it fall back to his side. Because he knows.
You won’t be waiting behind it anymore.
But his mind is cruel. It plays the same loop over and over. Your laugh, soft in the back of his head. The way your fingers brushed against his when you held hands in public. The way you whispered "I’ll wait for you," like you actually believed he was worth it.
He pulls his phone out. He still has your number saved. He doesn’t call. Doesn’t text. He types something out and erases it three times before leaving the screen blank.
Because what could he say?
"I miss you." "I was wrong." "I thought I had time."
He closes his eyes. He sees your face, clear as day. The look in your eyes when you let him go. The way you smiled even when it broke you.
And suddenly, he’s not the one who left. He’s the one who’s lost.
In Spain, he was always running forward. But here, standing on this street in front of the life he could have had, Itoshi Sae finally realizes.
You were always home.
And he’ll never get back to you.
That's that-- should i make a 2nd part?

incredibly hot (well, maybe not amongst Jeremy fans but OH WELL lemme preach to the choir) take but: i find the way Jeremy is talked about his ex Succession co-stars these days so very obnoxious. Why should we or anyone care about his "method"? I watch him act fantastically on my tv screen, that alone is a joy for me, and his interviews show he cares a lot about his craft. To be too cool for school and shrug everything off is also its own method actors go about what they do - and lemme tell you, I find that so much more embarrassing than someone who might use flowery language, quote European intellectuals, and perhaps do like hearing themselves talk - the latter is pretty universal.
As a whole, idc if an actor is annoying in that sense, because I don't have to coexist with them (besides, I do know people who are indeed annoying in that way - some of them are my friends). Do they entertain me, cause me to feel emotion, will I be in awe when watching them work? If the answer to all of that is yes, then I like the actor. As long as they're not confirmed to be harrassing their castmates (or anyone at all), a creep who endangers them, or a genuine bigot, I truly DGAF. Unlike Brian Cox, apparently, who openly backs actors known to be domestic abusers and/or rapists. Plus, can't recall the last time various people have roasted Daniel Day-Lewis like that over his method... 🤔 (also: I could die very happily if I never have to hear that goddamned Laurence Olivier quote to Dustin Hoffman ever again)
Kieran's cheap shots also didn't exactly endear me to him - even though I think he's a great actor and I will see A Real Pain when it comes out in theatres here. But hm, let's just say that I am actively rooting for him to lose when he goes up against Jeremy in the Best Supporting Actor category and to also lose as Best Leading Actor if he ends up in that category when Jeremy loses in Best Supporting.
Yes, this is petty but [shrugs]
Sorry for leaving a rant in your askbox LOL ❤️
Thank you so much for that ask! I totally agree with everything you wrote.
For me one thing is true - when I watched second season of Succession, there was something in Kendall that tore me apart. I really felt his emotions and I haven't experienced that ever before watching TV show. It was so surprising, but also excilariting. Someone my age suddenly being floored by watching some rich guy mope around.
And then, later, I learned how Jeremy Strong has approached creating Kendall's character. It became clear to me that the realness of the emotions came from a very deep place of the actor, the person. To think that someone was ready to go that far for the role (he said it led him to some very dark places and that he has lost feeling of joy) makes you look at the whole craft differently.
I love how serious and thoughtful he is in describing his work, it's something so rare these days. Jeremy always says that you need to be brave and do things that scare you, and that's how he lives, and it's very inspiring.
I also agree that Kieran acts like he's just a guy who comes to do "whatever", and it's actually ironic, because from what he describes he does a lot of things similarly to Jeremy - he didn't want to rehearse in A Real Pain and he mentions that he let the Benji character act out, like he didn't know what would happen, how he would behave. That's exactly what Jeremy did while filming Succession.
It's clear that someone's process might be difficult for other actors, but from what I gather, Jeremy mostly kept to himself and was isolating, so I don't think it was such a big burden for them, other than a fact that it probably created tensed atmosphere, but on the other hand - Kieran and Sarah are best buds (she's a godmother of one of his kids) and Brian talks fondly of both of them, so they're good. The only one left out is Jeremy (not counting Alan Ruck, sorry Con), that's the choice he made and he seems to accept it.
For me the best proof of Jeremy's grace and thoughtfulness is the fact that he never reacted to Brian Cox's cheap shots; he literally said that he admires him when asked about his comments.
As to the awards, I watched A Real Pain and it's a good movie, but as a Succession freak I must say that Kieran performed Benji character in a very similar way to how he portrayed Roman, this guy is just more open about his feelings. I'm surprised it wasn't noted in any reviews, but maybe it's just me. I think Kieran might win with Jeremy because he's more liked in the industry, but for me, trying to be as objective as I can, the performance of Jeremy in 'The Apprentice' is just leaps and bounds superior to that of Kieran's in 'A Real Pain'.

My Shifting Routine ☕️
Hello chat. Im still very confused on how to use this app correctly and how to give my post any kind of aesthetic appeal but erm. I need to practice my english for my uni entrance exam next month so I thought why not get more active on here. I saw someone post their shifting routine and thought it might be interesting to give yall some insight on that. Enjoy! ☆〜(ゝ。∂)

Frequency: Personally, I like to shift around 3 times a week. This depends and can fluctuate but it's what I've been most succesful with. There are weeks in which I shift almost everyday so giving this tip might be hypocritical but. Take BREAKS!!! Your brain needs time to rest and especially methods that require a lot of attention will burn you out over time.
Over the day: There aren't many things I do throughout the day that relate to shifting because I think it's important to not base your entire life around shifting and to not neglect your CR. However some things that I do end up doing are reality checks, sometimes shifting related spellwork and affirming. Reality checks are only a necessity if you shift with the lucid dream method like me. I've posted a bunch of videos on shifting related spellwork on my Tik Tok but I might updatd somd to here too. Every now and then I'll refresh my shifting spell and I like to add simple things to my daily life such as wear purple or draw sigils on stuff. Affirming happens in my head whenever I remember to. I personally dislike affirmations such as "I will shift" etc. and like to stand my ground by affirming "I am in my dr" or state specific things about my DR. Lastly of course, without realizing I get tangled in day dreams about my DR, my S/O's and my separate life there which can also have positive impacts on your journey.
Before my shift: Consume of media. Something helping a lot with shifting itself but also motivation is consuming media about your DR. Rewatch the movies or the show, watch interviews, re-read the book etc. I do NOT mean scrolling endlessly on the costumized tik tok fyp of your media.
Self care. I know we hate to hear it but in my experience the better care you take of yourself the easier it gets. Make sure all your work is done so you have nothing to worry about and do everything you consider as self care. This can be skincare, taking a bath, spending time with your loved ones etc. The happier and more content I go to sleep the higher the chances are I wake up in my DR. Especially during exam seasons it gets quite hard for me to shift so I try my best to prioritize myself.
Meditation. Another word you're probably tired of hearing but it WORKS. I personally meditate 15 minutes while I'm doing coconut teeth whitening (lmao) and use the ways I've been taught in my Star Wars DR. Bonus when I get to go outside during it and find a nice sunny spot.
During my shift: I like to keep everything quiet and have my apartment as dark as possible. I LOVE things that smell good so I'll have either my diffuser working or some lava stones next to my bed. Before owning either of those I used to spray myself with DR related perfumes to really get the vibe of already being there. I then proceed to do my method once I am fully relaxed and usually success!

Emery: Hello everyone, welcome back to our podcast! As always, I’m Emery.
Cameron: And I’m Cameron.
Emery: And this is AlphaOmega Males! To be the Top G you have to worship the top G, can I get an amen?
Cameron: Amen!

Emery: We have two special guests with us today! We’re honored to have Mercy-Marie and Blessing-Belle Saelim from the SIS SimTube channel! How are you two ladies doing today?
Twins, in unison: We’re doing great, thanks!
Cameron: Whoa, they really do talk at the same time like that. Crazy! And you two still dress alike! That’s so cool.

Emery: Really cool. It’s refreshing to see some ladies like you two. We’ve been interviewing with some feminists for the the past week for a series we’re doing and it’s been exhausting having to deal with them.
Mercy-Marie: I bet it has been. No masculine men like you two would want to be degraded by women who don’t know their place.
Cameron: She gets it.
Emery: Why don’t you share what you’ve been doing with your ministry recently?

Blessing-Belle: Gladly! My dear sister and I recently co-authored a book called “Waiting For The One”. It’s all about trusting God’s timing regarding bringing you to your spouse, rather than changing your standards and using wordly methods to seek him out.

Mercy-Marie: It’s really important to us to get this message out there. So many women are falling victim to “bossbabe” culture and working and living alone instead of being a traditional woman. There’s a reason divorce was unheard of many years ago.

Cameron: Protect these two at all costs!
Emery: Couldn’t agree more. Guys, if you have any ladies in your life, please encourage them to check out that book! We’ll be back after these messages from our sponsors!

Cameron: Now that we have a break, tell us. You guys having fun doing the podcast?
Emery: We’d love to have you be regular guests.
Blessing-Belle: Oh really? That sounds pretty cool, actually.

Cameron: Awesome. And what about your sister over there? You think she would like to get on the mic?

Blessing-Belle: Nah, she’s just here to chaperone. We know that I’m the star of this show.
Mercy-Marie: Ahem.
Blessing-Belle: Oh! Along with my twinnie of course!

Im so tired. The anniversary of October 7th and Sinwar's death have opened up opportunities for anti-semites to show their true colours. For example, a star trek the original series blog I follow has started posting about mourning Sinwar and how violent "resistance" by Palestinians is fine and that October 7th was justified. If you look on my tumblr you will see my reply to one of their posts. Anyways, it's ironic that they are a Star Trek TOS blog since three of the main characters are played by Jewish men (and Leonard Nimoy was openly and proudly Zionist and Jewish), and it's about a pacifist future (they never consider killing someone as a method to fix oppression). How the fuck does someone watch Star Trek and then celebrate the massacre of people because they "had it coming"?!!
Not only were they played by Jews, Nimoy used very Jewish traditions and cultural aspects for the Vulcans.
It all plays in to the fandomization of this war. People using fandom spaces to platform their hate, say “this character/actor would never support X!” while completely ignoring the context of the material or what those characters would do.
But if we want to engage in the “what would they do?”
Well…
There are plenty of scenarios in Trek where the crew changes their opinion on something when they have the full context. In this case you could easily present them this war as a fight for freedom and resistance, and they’d believe it and support it. But then they’d go in and see past actions of Hamas, what their leadership does, and the interview(s) that Sinwar gave where he said he’d sacrifice over 100k civilians for his goals.
They’d be presented the walls, checkpoints, and Iron Dome as tools of oppression. Then they find out that they were built to prevent constant and consistent attacks against Israeli citizens. They’d find out that they were defensive measures built in response.
They’d be presented the colonizer narrative and then there’d be a moment where Spock tells the crew that archaeological evidence shows the indigeneity of Jews. Someone would also ask who they’re a colony of during talks and witness how Hamas and co responds in an irrational and ungrounded manner.
They’d be aghast at all of that.
They’d also find out about the atrocities that Israel has committed and the shit their politicians do.
They’d shame both sides and hold talks until peace actually happens. And if not? Well they’d back off and realize some things just can’t be solved in that space and time, and that some times the Federation has no right to impose its views on others.
It earnestly sounds like a blog that commits Federationless behavior.
#antisemitism#star trek#Vulcan traditions and culture was based on Jewish tradition and culture#if you’re a Trekkie and support Hamas you’re supporting the antagonists and villains

One evening in 1951 astronomer William Wilson Morgan was strolling home from Yerkes Observatory in Wisconsin when he looked up at the night sky and had a “flash inspiration ... a creative intuitional burst.” It solved one of the great mysteries of astronomy.
The observable universe contains billions, possibly even trillions, of galaxies. With a modest telescope, their varied forms are discernible—spirals, ellipsoids and others with irregular structures. But what about our own galaxy, the Milky Way?
Morgan had been calculating the distances from Earth of groups of big, hot, bright stars, nowadays called OB associations. He knew that in spiral galaxies these clusters reside in the trailing arms. Gazing at the sky while walking home, he located the familiar dots of the OB associations. But this time the flat image of the night sky merged in his mind with the star distances that he had calculated and committed to memory, and it sprang to three-dimensional life. Morgan’s vision: the stars of the OB association are arranged in a long strand—an arm of our spiral galaxy.
An “aha! moment,” such as Morgan’s marvelous insight that the Milky Way is a spiral, is a new idea or perspective that arrives abruptly, often bursting into an ongoing stream of thought. It may pop up while someone is actively trying to solve a problem, but it can also arrive spontaneously. “When I write songs, it’s never a conscious decision—it’s an idea that floats down in front of me at four in the morning or in the middle of a conversation or on a tour bus or in the mall or in an airport bathroom,” singer-songwriter Taylor Swift related to an interviewer. “I never know when I’m gonna get an idea and I never know what it’s gonna be.”
These revelations feel pleasing, even thrilling, and they can be portals to a scientific breakthrough, an innovative business proposal, a hit song or the plot of a best-selling novel. Or they may provide a life-changing perspective on a personal dilemma. People can overcome many challenges by analyzing them step by arduous step, but leaps of insight are more often associated with out-of-the-box ideas. And though often obvious in hindsight, the revelation can be astounding when it arrives.
Scholars have sought to capture the elusive essence of the aha! moment for more than a century, and it is finally within our grasp. We now know where it happens in the brain and when it’s more likely to happen. And we’re discovering some surprising benefits of insight, including elevated mood, memory and, oddly, the ability to distinguish fake news from real.

Jen Christiansen; Sources: “Intuition in Insight and Noninsight Problem Solving,” by Janet Metcalfe and David Wiebe, in Memory & Cognition, Vol. 15; May 1987 (triangle and polygon reference); “Restructuring Processes and Aha! Experiences in Insight Problem Solving,” by Jennifer Wiley and Amory H. Danek, in Nature Reviews Psychology, Vol. 3; January 2024 (candle problem reference)
The 1990s saw rapid developments in neuroimaging. By the early 2000s cognitive neuroscientist Mark Beeman and one of us (John), both then at the University of Pennsylvania, concluded that imaging technologies were advanced enough for us to try to see what happens in the brain when a person has an insight. We used two complementary methods: electroencephalography (EEG) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). EEG measures the electrical activity of the brain with electrodes placed on a person’s scalp. It provides very precise information about when something is happening in the brain. In contrast, fMRI measures slower changes in blood flow (when a region of the brain is working harder, it draws more blood) and provides very detailed maps of where things are happening. By using EEG and fMRI in parallel experiments with different people solving the same puzzles, we were able to isolate the brain’s aha! moments in both space and time.
We couldn’t rely on difficult brainteasers, because to get statistically significant results, we needed each test subject to solve many problems. Instead we used little verbal puzzles such as compound remote associates (CRAs), which people can solve either insightfully or analytically. Each CRA consists of three words, such as “pine,” “crab” and “sauce.” The participant’s job is to think of a fourth word that can be used to form a compound word or familiar phrase with each of the three given words. Immediately after a volunteer solved one of these puzzles, they reported whether the solution had popped into awareness suddenly or been discovered through deliberate, step-by-step thinking. We were thus able to isolate aha! moments and compare the brain activity during them with the brain activity for analytical solutions. (If you’re curious, the answer to the CRA in this paragraph is “apple.”)
Our key result: an aha! solution corresponds to a burst of high-frequency brain waves in the brain’s right temporal lobe, just above the right ear. That part of the brain, the right anterior superior temporal gyrus, connects with many other brain regions. It is associated with our ability to realize connections between concepts that may initially seem unrelated, as occurs when comprehending metaphors, jokes and the gist of conversations. Our findings linking this specific area of the brain to the aha! experience supported previous work by Edward M. Bowden of the University of Wisconsin–Parkside and Beeman suggesting that the solution to such a problem can be unconsciously present in the right hemisphere, ready to emerge into awareness as an insight.
The number of puzzles people solved by insight—but not analysis—predicted how well they could discriminate between real news stories and fake ones.
Our later research revealed, however, that aha! moments may excite other areas of the brain, depending on the type of puzzle. In 2020 John and his co-workers showed that insights that solve pattern-reorganization problems activate the frontal lobe rather than the right temporal lobe. Anagrams—for example, rearranging the letters in BELAT to get the solution TABLE—are among such problems. Thus, the distinctive feature of an insight is the sudden burst of high-frequency brain-wave activity, which can occur in various parts of the brain, depending on the type of problem solved.
Some problems lend themselves to an analytical, as opposed to an insightful, solution. Analytical problem-solving recruits areas of the brain involved in “executive” processes such as “working” memory that rely on the brain’s frontal lobes. Virtually everyone can use either insightful or analytical methods, but many people tend to use one rather than the other. Nobel laureate physicist and mathematician Roger Penrose, for example, can obviously think analytically but seems to be inherently insightful: “I had this strange feeling of elation, and I couldn’t quite work out why I was feeling like that,” he once said in an interview. It turned out he’d had an epiphany about the formation of black holes while crossing a road. “I do most of my thinking in visual terms,” he related, “rather than writing down equations.”
In the 2010s Brian Erickson, then a doctoral student in John’s laboratory at Drexel University, and his colleagues demonstrated that people’s tendency toward insightful or analytical thinking is evident during “resting-state” brain activity—while a person relaxes with no task to perform or expectation about what is to come. Erickson recorded people’s resting-state EEGs and then, weeks later, tasked the same participants with solving a series of anagrams. The astonishing result: a few minutes of EEG predicted, up to seven weeks in advance, whether a person would solve the puzzles mostly insightfully or analytically. Our predominant thinking style is stable over time.
Jen Christiansen; Source: “Resting-State Brain Oscillations Predict Trait-like Cognitive Styles,” by Brian Erickson et al., in Neuropsychologia, Vol. 120; November 2018 (reference)
Although individuals may be inclined toward more analytical or insightful thinking, we aren’t locked into one or the other. Your thinking style can shift or be nudged, at least temporarily, to the other strategy. One factor is mood. In a 2009 study led by Karuna Subramaniam, then a doctoral student in Beeman’s lab at Northwestern University, researchers found that participants who reported feeling more positive solved more puzzles by insight, whereas those who reported greater anxiety solved more puzzles analytically.
Why might that be? Consider the following example, courtesy of Beeman. Imagine you are in Africa 25,000 years ago. You see a lion off in the distance and are gripped with fear. Your thinking immediately becomes very careful and deliberate—analytical—because one mistake and you are finished. Can the lion see me or hear me? Am I upwind or downwind? If I run, is the lion close enough to catch up?
You manage to escape. That evening you are back in the cave with your people. There’s a fire, so it’s warm, and the day’s catch is cooking on a rack. You are enjoying what researchers call psychological safety. In your protected haven, you don’t have to suppress rambling, fanciful thoughts—the stuff of creativity. You are empowered to say or do something imaginative. That may be why, 25,000 years later, we find the innovative, practical flint tools and breathtaking cave paintings that sustained and inspired the lives of the ancients.
Jen Christiansen; Source: “An Insight-Related Neural Reward Signal,” by Youngtaek Oh et al., in NeuroImage, Vol. 214; July 2020 (reference)
To discover whether more complex insights could lift mood over a longer time, Christine Chesebrough, then a doctoral student in John’s lab, developed word pairs that formed ongoing analogies, such as steering wheel/car followed by rudder/boat, both of which suggest an implement that guides a vehicle. The next word pair could be either handlebars/bicycle, which continues this theme, or voting/government, which forces the subject to reinterpret the ongoing analogy in a more abstract way as one entity controlling another. This conceptual expansion sparked strong aha! experiences that elevated participants’ moods for at least the hour-long test session—the more insights, the better their mood. The vibe persists. The joy of insights can thus impel scientists, artists, writers, and others to feel such a strong drive to express their creativity that they forgo a well-paying job to immerse themselves in their vocation, contributing essential ideas to culture and science.
The thrill of an aha! moment can increase risk-taking. As a doctoral student in Beeman’s lab, Yuhua Yu led a study in which she and her colleagues gave people CRA puzzles to solve. Between some of these puzzles, they offered the participants a choice between taking a small payment—a sure thing—and taking a chance to win a larger prize with the risk of no payoff. After finding an analytical solution, the volunteers tended to take the smaller, guaranteed payoff. But after enjoying an insight, participants were more likely to gamble on winning the bigger prize. Experiencing an aha! moment can therefore promote an appetite for risk, which, as Maxi Becker of Humboldt University of Berlin and her colleagues showed in 2023, involves the nucleus accumbens, a dopamine-rich part of the brain’s reward system.
Tolerance for risk can be good or bad depending on the circumstances. But one unequivocal benefit conferred by insightful thinking is reduced “bullshit receptivity,” as Carola Salvi of John Cabot University in Rome and her collaborators have found. People are flooded by biased information and slanted reporting, and their limited capacity to deal with this torrent of information makes them vulnerable to false messages. Fortunately, insightful thinking is largely unconscious and does not tax attention or working memory the way analytical thinking does. Salvi and her co-workers observed that the number of puzzles the participants in their study solved by insight—but not analysis—predicted how well they could discriminate between real news stories and fake ones, as well as between meaningful statements and “pseudo-profound bullshit” statements. Insightfulness is not only for dreamers: it confers real-world skills that help people navigate the overwhelming information landscape.
Insight also enhances learning and memory. Amory H. Danek of Heidelberg University in Germany and her colleagues showed participants videos of magic tricks and asked them to explain how the tricks were done. Later the subjects remembered the solutions that were experienced as aha! moments better than explanations that were not. Danek and Jennifer Wiley of the University of Illinois at Chicago followed up this study by showing that the pleasure accompanying insights made them easier to recall. Jasmin Kizilirmark of the University of Hildesheim in Germany and her colleagues have been exploring how this so-called insight memory advantage can be applied to improve memory in older adults.
Aha! moments can have a downside. Insights are more likely to be correct than analytical solutions—but they are not always correct. The dilemma is that people tend to be particularly confident about their insights, even the false ones. Furthermore, work by Ruben Laukkonen of Southern Cross University in Australia and his colleagues suggests that statements presented along with anagrams that people solve by insight also feel more believable than statements presented with anagrams solved by analysis. Aha! moments may create an aura of truth that envelops accompanying information.
The fact that mood can alter one’s thinking style has profound implications for our understanding of creativity. Subramaniam’s fMRI analyses isolated the lone area of the brain that responds to both differences in mood and differences in thinking style. This area, the anterior cingulate cortex, located in the middle of the front of the brain, detects conflicting strategies. When you are relaxed, your anterior cingulate cortex is better able to detect the presence of an alternative to the most obvious, but possibly ineffective, problem-solving strategy and switch to it, sparking an aha! moment. But when you are anxious, it is less able to detect the subtler strategy, and you will continue to grind through the problem in a straightforward, analytical manner.
An obvious way to increase insightfulness is therefore to relax and carve out a span of time when you aren’t anxious or rushed. Another way is expansion in space: When you are in a large room or the great outdoors—under a starry sky, as Morgan was—your attention expands to take in the large space. That broadened awareness shifts the mind toward considering the whole rather than the parts, thereby enhancing insightful thinking. Filtering out the world around you can have a similar effect: aha! moments are often preceded by eye blinks and looking away from a problem to reduce distractions. People solve more thinking problems when they close their eyes. In contrast, objects that grab attention will narrow your focus on details and induce you to think analytically.
Steven Smith of Texas A&M University and his collaborators have also shown that if you take a break from a problem to do something else, preferably a relatively undemanding task such as light gardening or housework, any misleading information or misinterpretation will loosen its grip, and you will be more likely to achieve an insight. Kristin Sanders, now at the University of Notre Dame, and Beeman showed that sleep can enhance this process, supporting the many stories of scientists who have experienced great ideas during or right after sleep. Colleen Seifert and David E. Meyer of the University of Michigan and their colleagues reported another benefit of breaks: you may encounter a trigger—a person, a street sign, anything—that can spark an aha! moment because the trigger bears some resemblance to or association with the needed solution.
How about drugs? The thought of popping a pill that would unlock creative insights may be appealing for some people. Microdosing psychedelic drugs has been proposed to increase innovative thinking. We are not aware of any rigorous scientific evidence that psychedelics can increase the likelihood of insights, although they may cause a person to feel creative and profound. But alcohol, if not taken to extremes, does seem to enhance insightful solving. (That is not an endorsement!)
Perhaps there are other ways to directly intervene in brain function to produce aha! moments. Several researchers, including Beeman, Salvi, Amna Ghani of Charité–Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Caroline Di Bernardi Luft of Brunel University London and Joydeep Bhattacharya of Goldsmiths, University of London, have shown that direct electrical stimulation of test subjects’ right temporal lobes with electrodes placed on their heads—in some cases, synchronized with hints—can increase the likelihood that they will solve CRA puzzles using insight. For various reasons, though—including the fact that different types of insight involve different areas of the brain—it is unlikely that electrical stimulation will become useful as a technique for sparking aha! moments.
Here’s what does not work: expectations of monetary prizes or bonuses. Payments can coax a person to tackle a problem—and people should certainly be compensated for their work—but they can also inhibit insights. A focus on an expected payoff grabs and narrows one’s attention, limiting creative thought. Messages about rewards can enhance insight—but only when they are displayed so briefly that a person cannot consciously perceive them. When innovation is the goal, conspicuous rewards may therefore be counterproductive, as are strict deadlines that switch one’s thinking to an analytical mode by inducing anxiety and narrowing mental focus.
Alternatively, you could just go get groceries. Vishal Rao, an oncologist in India, endured years of frustration before a surprising twist enabled him and his unique team to create an amazing medical device. As a surgeon specializing in neck and throat cancer, Rao knew that most of the tens of thousands of new patients with throat cancer each year in India could not afford the prohibitive cost of surgery to replace their diseased voice box with an artificial one. So, in 2013, Rao formed a team that developed an inexpensive artificial voice box costing less than a dollar.
But there was one roadblock remaining. The artificial voice box had to be replaced yearly in a surgical procedure that costs hundreds of dollars, a regular expense way beyond the means of most of his patients. He needed an inexpensive, nonsurgical tool that a patient could use to remove an old artificial voice box and implant a new one—a challenge that seemed insurmountable.
One day Rao went to the supermarket with his toddler. The boy broke free and started running down the aisles, gleefully knocking things off the shelves. Rao chased and caught him, but only after the boy had knocked down a box of tampons, the contents of which spilled out onto the floor. When Rao saw the tampon applicator, it sparked an aha! moment: here was a safe, inexpensive, nonsurgical implement that could be a model for a voice-box applicator.
When Rao explained this idea to others, they said the device he wanted sounded more like a toy than a surgical instrument. This comment triggered the doctor’s second aha! moment. He recalled that Channapatna, a nearby city, is nicknamed “toy town” because of its centuries-old tradition of master craftsmen who design and make inexpensive wood toys. After interviewing Channapatna toy makers, he found Kouser Pasha, who was intrigued by the idea. It took Pasha just a couple of hours to come up with a design for an inexpensive voice-box applicator.
Just as hungry people tend to notice anything related to food, Rao’s initial failure to imagine an inexpensive applicator sensitized his brain to anything around him that looked like it could help him solve the problem. When he took a break from his problem, his old ways of thinking relaxed their grip as he was exposed to a variety of objects in the supermarket. One of those objects, the tampon applicator, was potentially related to the problem, so it grabbed his attention. Once he figured out that a similar device would work, the surgeon still had to figure out how to design and manufacture it. The need for a solution sensitized him to the word “toy,” which triggered his insight about recruiting a toy maker from “toy town.”
The upshot: when you are stuck, take a break and expose yourself to a variety of environments and people to increase the chance you will encounter a triggering stimulus. Perhaps the most important scientific lesson about insight, though, is that it is as fragile as it is beneficial. The aha! moment brings new ideas and perspectives, lifts mood, increases tolerance for risk, and enhances the ability to discern truth from fiction. But anxiety and sleep deprivation can squash these precious gifts.

July 19th, 1985 - Queen Story!
The Sun - I AM THE CHAMPION
Why Fantastic Freddie Stole Live Aid Show
(Boogie time for winners) by Nick Ferrari
Rock fans have been saying for years that Freddie Mercury is the world’s greatest.
Now the world knows how right they are–because Freddie and his band, Queen, stole the honours at the star-studded Live Aid concert.
His blistering show, with its haunting finale, left all the other pop greats standing.
Freddie, a very energetic 38, cannot resist giving it all he’s got once he is on stage.
He says: “I have to win people over, otherwise it’s not a successful gig. It’s my job to make sure people have a good time. That’s part of my duty. It’s all to do with feeling in control. That song We Are The Champions has been taken up by football fans because it’s a winners’ song.
“I can’t believe that somebody hasn’t written a new song to overtake it.”
In a revealing interview Freddie talks freely and frankly about his superstar friends, his astonishing song writing output and his sad love life.
_Shock_
His composing has brought him into constant with Elton John, Rod Stewart — and the reclusive Michael Jackson.
He says: “I recorded about two or three tracks with Michael, but none of them are out at the moment.”
It was Freddie who started recording State of Shock with Jackson, but he did not have time to finish it. Mick Jagger stepped in–and they had a hit.
A Mercury-Jackson duo was also planned for the smash-hit Thriller album, but that did not come off, either.
Not that Freddie worries over such set-backs. His recording career did very nicely, thank you, when he released his solo album _Mr Bad Guy_
“I was pleased with it,” he says. “I was also pleased with my voice. I like it husky. It’s all the smoking. That’s why I smoke — to get that husky voice.”
So how did he reach the high notes? “I used the Demis Roussos method,” he says. “You get a pair of pliers under the frock and go crunch!”
One of the tracks on Freddie’s new album is entitled Love Is Dangerous. Is that his view? He says: “I can be a good lover, but I think after all these years I’m not a very good partner for anybody. Maybe my love is dangerous, but who wants their love to be safe?”
_Tragic_
“I’m possessed by love–but isn’t everybody? Most of my songs are love ballads and things to do with sadness and torture and pain.
“In terms of love, you’re not in control and I hate that feeling. I seem to write a lot of sad songs because I’m a very tragic person. But there’s always an element of humour at the end.”
But for all his fame and adulation, Freddie remains a lonely man.
He says: “The album track Living on My Own is very me. I have to go round the world living in hotels. You can have a whole shoal of people you know looking after you. But in the end they all go away. But I’m not complaining. I’m living on my own and having a boogie time.”
And this man, with millions of fans all over the world admits he has few friends.
Freddie says: “When you’re a celebrity, it’s hard to approach somebody and say: ‘Look, I’m normal underneath.’ Then what happens is the tread all over me because by trying to be normal to somebody, suddenly I’ve come out of my shell and become far more vulnerable than most people.”
_Fun_
“Because I’m successful and have a lot of money, a lot of greedy people prey on me. But that’s something I’ve learned to deal with.
“I’m riddled with scars and I just don’t want any more.”
Instead Freddie turns to his fans to feel wanted again. He said: “I find even when people have let you down, you just want to go on stage. It’s very gratifying to know that all sorts of people want you.”
Freddie has also learned how to enjoy his fame. He says: “I was caught up in being a star and I thought “This is the way a star behaves. Now I don’t give a damn. I want to do things my way and have fun.”
“If all my money ended tomorrow, I’d still go about like I had lots of money because that’s what I used to do before. I’ll always walk round like a Persian Poppinjay and no one’s gonna stop me.”
“I love living life to the full — that’s my nature. Nobody tells me what to do.”
TEARS TURN ME ON
Freddie is a great admirer of modern band and current music in spite of his years in the business. He says: “I like Tears For Fears, Wham!, and Culture Club– they’re all very good. But Tears For Fears are among my favourites because they’re writing music I cam really relate to.”
_Dream_
“They’ve got a lot of rhythm and at the same time they’ve got a lot of aggression. They also have very good songs. But I love the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, above all other singers. She must have one of the best voices ever. She sings like a dream. I wish I could sing half as well as she does. It’s so natural.
“She puts her whole emotion into it. Each word she sings is full of meaning and expression. I could listen to it forever.”
Freddie also reveals his deep love of opera. He says: “Montserrat Cabelle is sensational. She has that same kind of emotion as Aretha Franklin. The way she delivers a song is so very natural. It’s a very different gift.”
But Freddie’s favourite band remains Queen who have been toether now for 13 years.
And he strongly denies making a solo album has threatened the future of one of the world’s greatest rock bands. Freddie says: “It’s probably brought us closer together and will enhance our careers.”
_Closer_
“It’s like painting a picture. You have to step away from it to see what it’s like. I’m stepping away from Queen and I think it’s going to give everybody a shot in the arm.
“But I’ll be working with Queen again. No doubt about that. Queen are gonna come back even bigger.”

I LOVE the Beatlettes au! I would love to have more in depth info/basic lore abt this au Plz!! <3
I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!
Ah thank you! I’ll be honest I don’t have the most in depth information to give about it, but I do have some rough concepts? Also sorry if this is rambly (also full credit to the anonymous asker who originally asked for girl Beatles that gave me this idea in the first place)
Anyways so,
BEATLETTES!
So Yoko Ono and Linda Eastman meet in the US and at some point form The Beatlettes around 1961 Yoko’s around 27 or 28 and Linda’s 19, (they would obviously have additional members, from whatever they’re version of the Quarrymen was. Who would those members be? Great question, I have not thought about this too in depth.) they obviously at some point go to England and meet Pattie Boyd who’s around 17, then in 1962 they bring on Maureen Cox who’s 16
Here’s time Teddy Girls I never finished, Mo’s not here because she’d come later
I think Linda and Yoko’ll still get married to their prior husbands (Melville See, and Toshi Ichiyanagi and Anthony Cox respectively), though them being in the US probably makes it a bit complicated? The problem with The Beatlettes is Linda and Yoko aren’t UK natives so trying to figure out how early stuff would work out, such as the early years of the band and their marriages is a bit tricky because, for example Linda would both be pregnant in 1962 as well as recording “Please Please Me” and travelling to and fro the US and UK 😵💫 (unless Melville decided to move with her)
Anyways the Beatlettes become global superstars their concerts are chock-a-block o’ blokes all crazy for them, they have wildly successful albums, have films created starring them, get stalked and mobbed every time they try leave the house it’ll be almost exactly like how it was for the lads except this time it’s for the lassies (#feminism)
Now seeing as the girls became big celebrities what became of their husbands? I had some ideas

For John Lennon I picture him as a writer, he wants to be a poet and does that in his free time but he’s professionally a journalist to make ends meet for his wife Cynthia and son Julian, he probably sees potential in getting a story about the Beatlettes so he goes straight to Linda Eastman’s door and asks about having an interview, she tells him that Yoko might be interested in giving him one as she is not, and from Yoko, John gets out a lot more than he came in for ;)
As you can imagine, it’s just as messy as it was with The Beatles, Yoko brings John with her to the studio all the time and drives the band mad, Yoko and John go through some very messy divorces, Linda writes a song for Kyoko, and then not a lot changes after the Beatlettes, they still advocate for peace via their unusual methods, form the Plastic Ono Band, though they swap roles, (only slightly really, Yoko’s on guitar and John’s on percussion) they make albums and songs together and separately, though obviously they swap the albums and songs (For example Yoko makes Mind Games and John makes… Mind Train… oy vey…)
Ringo Starr starts his own Beauty Salon in Liverpool, that Mo turns up to one day. And for Ringo this is a good opportunity as getting a member of this band, that obviously won’t be a global success no, but y’know in Liverpool, The Beatlettes are very successful and where his salon is, and that’ll drive business to his business so he’s more than happy to have Maureen come in. They get together and then The Beatlettes have become an international hit and now everyone wants to come to his salon to either sit in the seat of a Beatlette or attack him for taking their beloved Mo away from them! The chances are he’ll probably eventually and unfortunately have to shut down the business for his own safety (and in case you’re wondering what that address is for the boutique, it’s actually the location of the Beatles Story! I thought it’d be a fun little detail to include)
I don’t have a lot more information to give on Maureen and Ringo, I imagine the Beatlettes would like him the same way the Beatles seemed to like Maureen, and I can’t think of what would change after the Beatlettes other than it’s Mo releasing the albums instead of Ringo
For Paul McCartney I thought about him becoming an art teacher, and he’s confident enough to one day submit his portfolio of sketches and paintings to try and get into the Sgt Pepper’s launch party to try and paint the Beatlettes ladies, he still meets Linda at the Bag O’ Nails, and Paul still manages to get into the Sgt Peppers launch party (they go to the party in every timeline…) and of course, Paul’s pupils will catch wind of his and Linda’s relationship and God help him once they do…
And then they get married Beatlettes fall apart, Paul and Linda make RAM (though maybe it’s COW this time? And instead of Dear Boy I imagine it’ll contain either I Got Up or Endless Days) go onto form Wings, though this time Linda’s the front woman whilst Paul’s on keys and a background vocalist, and he later goes on to release his only album Wide Prairie (or a similarly titled album seeing as we don’t really have prairies here in the UK? So… Wide Grassland? Yeah Wide Grassland) all in all besides the Beatlettes stuff, like John and Yoko, not a lot changes for Paul and Linda besides their roles in Wings I suppose (and I can see it being Paul who wants to form Wings instead of Linda to be honest)
And finally George I imagine he’d end up a technician he’d probably be called to work on A Hard Days Night, in case any of the technical stuff gives way and there he’ll meet Pattie and like Ringo and Mo I don’t have much to really say on them either, not because I don’t have much to say on Pattie and George just once again not sure how much they’d change besides “Pattie’d release music instead of George” maybe the love triangle would be different? Someone would be vying for George’s affection rather than Eric vying for Pattie’s? Or maybe it’ll be the same again with Eric wanting Pattie. I’m sorry I can’t think but if you have any ideas I’d love to hear them
Another thing is with The Beatlettes is I can’t decide if I want everything to be the exact same just now there’s the Beatlettes instead of the Beatles (so for example Brian Epstein’s still their manager, George Martin’s still the producer etc), or if I want it to be so that every band’s member has been swapped with (one of) their partner(s) (so for example Marianne Faithfull takes Mick Jagger’s place in the Rolling Stones) either way, it sounds fun.
But yeah that’s really all I’ve got, it’s both simultaneously not a lot but also wow that was a lot!. I somehow managed to write more about the men in my women post (#misogyny) if there’s any specific questions feel free to ask (there are some things I’m not willing to answer on, for example deaths whilst I was able to mention Ringo being attacked, talking about their deaths feels a wee bit gratuitous in comparison I guess, y’know?)
On a final note one thing I can say for sure would happen is Ringo would get less monthly listeners on Spotify than Linda and Yoko… oh wait

AnimateTimes movie interviews [❤💙💛]
Rita x Kaguragi x Jeramie (July 30)
highlights of the movie + guest cast
Change in Taisei
Rita's burden and with Morfonia / ep10, 16
Kaguragi with Racules and Suzume
Your character in summer
individual pics + translation under cut
Adventure Heaven is finally opening on July 28!
Hirakawa: In this movie you will meet a new side of Rita never before seen. Filming the movie is a fresh experience for me from start to finish.
Kaku: We will touch on Kaguragi's past in the movie. It will be very important for him in the future.
Ikeda: The coronation scene we shot with a crowd of extras. It is our biggest and grandest scene yet.
The guest cast including Ms. Sakura Ayane as Debonica is impressive too.
Ikeda: Ms. Sakura has a distinctive method of vocalization. When the two of us talked in private and she said "Royal Arms", I was stunned.
Is Ms. Sakura's "Royal Arms" cool?
Ikeda: It's very powerful, very cool indeed.
Kaku: As a king, you have to be cool.
Hirakawa: I didn’t get to meet all of the guest cast in person, but Mr. Nakamura Shido (Rainoir) has a solemn and powerful presence just from being. He brought on set a positive tension that alerted everybody "the movie is about to start!".
In the movie, Gira finally becomes King of Shugoddom. Has the star behind Gira, Mr. Sakai Taisei changed in any way?
Kaku: He's getting less nervous in public appearances. He'll still say "I'm so nervous!" even now, but he's getting better at relaxing into the role and just enjoy the show.
Hirakawa: The Taisei I saw is the one who's super nervous during filming.
Kaku: In the scene with Rainoir?
Hirakawa: Yes! His lips turned purple (laughs). "It's method acting for the Land of Death!" he said, but I think he's just nervous. Recently, he seems to have accepted his role as the cute mascot.
Ikeda: Since I only joined the cast later as the sixth ranger, I haven’t seen his nervous era. But I see where you're coming from about him turning cute.
Hirakawa: When we used to call him cute, he'd say "There's no such thing!", now he just nods, "Um..." (laughs)
Everyone: (laughs)
Ikeda: He might be somewhat happy to hear that.
Please tell us more about the main series as well. In Episode 16, Rita's past is revealed.
Hirakawa: I think through Episode 16, the audience can now feel Rita’s burden. Revisiting the past, we reaffirm Rita's resolve and sense of responsibility, as well as pushing forward in the mystery that is Fury of the Gods. This development will impact the TV series going forward.
How do you see the relationship between Rita and Morfonia?
In Episode 10, we saw a change in the relationship between each king and their aide. Rita also got somewhat closer emotionally with Morfonia. I believe the guard around Rita’s strained psyche has lowered a little. They won't have a heart-to-heart conversation just yet, but the distance between them has been shortening since. In real life, we are becoming closer friends as well, that will sure be a positive influence to our interaction in the story.
On the other hand, Kaguragi has a lot of mature bargaining that hide his true intentions with characters like Racules and his younger sister Suzume.
Kaku: It is fun to bargain with Racules. Yano-chan put his predictions of the future in his performance, I too kept that in mind and considered many aspects in my own. Suzume is both cute and a strategist, I find her duality interesting.
What if your character goes on a summer break?
Ikeda: Jeramie would sleep through it, wouldn't he? "What I thought was an afternoon nap, took a whole year. Happens to anybody." He did say that once... When he wakes up, it'd probably be winter. (laughs)
Everyone: (laughs)
Kaku: Kaguragi is a festival man. He'd for sure host a big summer festival in Toufu.
Hirakawa: Rita would just marathon "Together with Moffun", wouldn't they?
Kaku: Absolutely! Rita would rewatch every episode up to now.
Hirakawa: There are 4000 episodes, it'd be a miracle to finish it before the end of summer (laughs).
(laughs) Moffun is not slowing down with his merchandise release either.
Hirakawa: It's amazing, isn't it! Without a word you grew interested in its shape and voice. It's just that Rita's imitation is a little different though...
I think Rita's imitation of Moffun is adorable! At the end, please tell our readers the highlights of the movie.
Hirakawa: Surely it's being able to see a new side of Rita different from the one we know so far. Even the details in the background carries meaning, I would love for you to see it on the big screen, and two or three times if you can!
Kaku: The movie is presenting a whole new world, with imagery much grander than the ones in the TV series. The characters will face their pasts, and the audience can learn more about them as people. This is the part I find myself enjoying.
Ikeda: In a trip to the Land of Death, there is much to think about on each of the king's attitude and way of life. It adds another layer to the world of King-Ohger too. Please look forward to the movie.
Thank you very much!

While I'm working on my first analysis essay, I thought about sharing the synopsis of Episodes 0-10 of Rewritten Sparks.
Keep in mind that the episodes are still in the first draft phase of writing, so they might differ from the published version. One thing to keep a note of is that Episodes 1-4 are meant to be the "one-hour specials" of Season #1, so they'll be longer than the other episodes once published. Another thing to note is that the original Episode #9 will be split in two, with a lot happening in between.
Season #1: Old Story, New Beginnings
Premise: After an incident leads Izuku and his childhood friend, Katsuki, to move to the rural city of Besutin, they find themselves back in the city to start their first year of middle school. But things aren't as Izuku and Katsuki remember it. Through their three years of absolute hell, they find themselves dealing with bullying, prepping for high school, getting trained by Japan's #1 hero, and nearly dying at the hands of yokai. Wait…what was that last part!?
Episode #0: Rewrite, Redesign, & Redo
Synopsis: Izuku, while waiting to be reincarnated, finishes telling his story about how he became the world's greatest hero. The deity listening to his story, however, doesn't buy it. If what Izuku was saying was true...why did he die so young?
Episode #1: Midoriya Izuku: Rewritten Origin
Synopsis: After years of living in the countryside city of Besutin, Izuku and his childhood friend, Katsuki, are sent back to the city by their parents to attend Aldera Junior High. Things take an unexpected turn, however, and Izuku finds himself ostracized and bullied by his new classmates. As if things couldn't get any worse, he soon finds himself trapped in a labyrinth-like alleyway with Katsuki.
Episode #2: Here Comes the Sun
Synopsis: Yamada Himawari: English tutor by day, J-Pop Idol Hero...also by day. On her way back to Peacemaker HQ, she noticed two of her old students walking home from school, beaten and bruised. Himawari decides to follow them to see what's wrong, only to find herself trapped in a yokai's labyrinth. With no way of contacting her team, Himawari must decide whether or not to risk her secret identity in order to save her students.
Episode #3: One Almighty Star
Synopsis: Toshinori, after hearing how Izuku held his own against a yokai without a H.E.R.O. device, decides it's time to go forward with his plan and start training him to use One for All again. It should be a lot easier than last time since Toshinori is training Izuku two years earlier. Of course, the life of being the Symbol of Peace is never easy. The Sludge Villain is back, but this time he has backup from equally disgusting lackeys.
Episode #4: What It Takes to Become A Hero...Again
Synopsis: Izuku has a hard time balancing his middle school life with his training, and this causes some tension between him and Inko. Meanwhile, Katsuki is still reeling from discovering that Izuku remembers the previous timeline, causing him to spiral from guilt. Unbeknownst to him, this allows an old foe a way into his mind and corrupted his guilt for their own twisted purposes.
Episode #5: Aching Muscles
Synopsis: As Izuku completes his training regime, Toshinori feels ready to pass One for All over to him. But an old friend shows up and voices their displeasure in his choice of the next Symbol of Peace. Toshinori, still unsure about his teaching methods, decides to prove them wrong. But is this old friend's opinion really worth Toshinori's time?
Episode 6: The Ghost in Her Fog
Synopsis: As the Entrance Exam draws closer, Nemuri prepares to interview the recommended students for the upcoming school year. As she does, a familiar face makes her presence known and brings back horrible memories that Nemuri had buried away for years. As she questions whether or not she's ready to go through that pain and sorrow again, All for One uses this to his advantage.
Episode #7: Start from the Very Beginning
Synopsis: After years of training with One Almighty Star, Izuku is more than ready to take the Entrance Exam. Despite having more control over One for All this time, however, things still go wrong. The Zero-Pointer goes rogue and makes its way to UA City, putting the citizens in danger.
Episode #9: What We Should Do For Now?
Synopsis: Izuku's second first day of UA has been interesting, to say the least. From the cold and aloof Mr. Aizawa now being the eccentric and dramatic Mr. Tafoya-Litvinov, to getting to meet the rest of the first years at the Entrance Ceremony. And...Monoma being nice to them!? Things at UA High are about to get crazy!
Episode #10: Feel Rage, You Damned Nerd!
Synopsis: Katsuki remembers the previous Quirk Assessment Test, and knows it was rigged. After training with Izuku, there's no way he would place last in comparison to Mineta of all people. Which is why he's not trusting a word that comes of their homeroom teacher's mouth. He knows that Mr. Aizawa is just playing them with the nice guy act. This is just another one of his ruses...right?
