:) hello! :D hope you have a nice day and absolutely do not think of the possibility of one of the last story cards being of silver! and that his groovy will very probably be crying!!! THERE'S SO MANY CRYING PEOPLE IN STORY CARDS LATELY!!! SPECIALLY LIGHT USERS!! I AM!!! SCARED!!!! bc so far we got Lilia and Sebek in the beginning book 7.... so at the end.... so we're missing story Silver... and Malleus is the one with less cards, so they might add one for him... but... the tears... ego.... THE TEARS!!!! EGOOOO!! (LOVE YOUR ART BTW EVERYTIME I GET A NOTIF FROM YOUR BLOG I RUN HERE TO SEE!)
(thank you! 💚💜💚)
YES I am ALSO like...90-95% convinced that we're going to be getting a story card for Silver once we wrap around back to diasomnia. 👀 especially because the way things are going, Silver will be the only character whose dream we haven't seen -- yet???? -- and that just. y'know. makes me wonder!
although I do think it would be VERY funny if he got a story card and the groovy was just "regular Silver except with one beautiful single crystal tear". this is actually a lot coming from him.
Tumblr media
(he used up all his emotion yelling at a baby that one time, there's none left for a proper groovy-level cry.)

*In the voice of someone who's only media experience is jjba*: Wow, getting a lot of jjba vibes from tf2
Amidst the chaos and disappointments that encompassed my last two months, I had a fun connection about two of my favorite brain rot comics - you got an immortal(ish) with a harsh backstory who spirals into obsessive hatred that ends in the stealing of their obsession's bodies and subsequently haunt those family lines and those adjacent to them for generations - and I liken the Zeppelis, who shares the Joestar's generational curse by Dio/immortal creatures in general, to the Conaghers who I also see as helpers to the Mann line Its a really cool angle to look at Engie in, who since I was 14 was my least favorite character lol, this really elevated him for me
And so if the Manns are like the Joestars, that means like, Olivia Man is the equivalent of Joseph lol which is very funny to me

one is a very interesting character to me. with most of the lore still up in the air as of the time this is written, it's hard to be sure who exactly she is; or, who she was. today, i want to take a closer look at what we have her character and try to figure out what that "was" could've looked like.
first, i'll start with what we know.
Tumblr media
above all else, one is controlling. whether that be in a literal sense, when one influences the world and events around her, or in an emotional sense, when it comes to manipulating others in order to get them to agree to her deals.
in tpot 13, she tells basketball that something they have in common is not liking when things don't go their way. this makes sense for one; every little thing she does is planned, prepared, controlled. she knows the steps people will take before they even take them, she knows every move she needs to make to get under people's skin, and she knows how to make everything go according to plan.
but what about when it doesn't?
in tpot 17, it's as though that control slips. things don't go her way. she isn't nearly as put-together, nor is she calculative or patient enough to even try putting up her persona and coaxing donut in the same way she has with her other signatories. her room seems to reflect her state of mind, scattered and disorganized. she's not stable enough to think of a way to convince him, or even think to hold him down, and her lack of control in the situation gives donut more free will, the ability to reject her deal, and, more importantly, the ability to fight back.
this act is something so spontaneous, so unpredictable, that it causes one to snap and immediately try to grab this control back. she becomes blinded by rage and attacks him, yet her scare tactic only shows more of her weakness: one can't handle feeling powerless.
although she's stronger than donut and was more than willing to show him that, her behavior also seems to stem from a point of insecurity. being disobeyed, treated not as an all-powerful being but instead an equal - or even a lesser - is her breaking point. obviously anybody would be mad over getting kicked, but it's clear something deeper must've been triggered in one in order to get her that manically angry.
where did this need for control come from? how does this tie into her past?
to know this, we should first look at another key detail of her character: her deals.
Tumblr media
on first glance, one's signatories don't have much in common. they're easy targets, people with weaknesses that one can easily find and exploit, with not much other correlation. but upon closer inspection, a pattern makes itself clear in every single person that one took into her room.
when fanny joined death pact again, she was taught to abandon her own beliefs and objectives and instead prioritize preventing death. for a while, she obliges by this, even as it causes them to lose challenges and causes her friends to drop out of the game like flies, until she decides she has enough of it and rebels against the others and their beliefs.
ice cube was used as a pawn of sorts by freesmart, a replacement for members that were held to more respect and value than her. her and the others always did what they were told for the alliance, and when she eventually splits off from freesmart, she is almost immediately coddled and controlled by book, still completely unable to speak or think for herself before she eventually snaps at book and leaves altogether.
basketball was completely complacent in bfb, her only feature outside of her loyalty to 8-ball being her empathy for others. this shines through in tpot when, even despite their differences in personality or team, basketball looks out for others more than herself, but nobody else listens to her when she tries to voice the problems she's seeing. this complete disregard for basketball and what she cares about is what causes a downward spiral of events beyond anybody's control.
gaty and two became attached to eachother very quickly, becoming almost codependent in a sense. gaty gives everything she has to two, and her willingness to stay in the hotel with them, to keep them happy - their willingness to keep her there because of their attachment - only puts her in more danger, and ends in them being separated for good.
it's stated outright by one that donut puts others over himself, even people like pencil and their mess of a team. he chooses to be selfless, a voice of reason, a leader that holds the team together despite the chaos it always brings in its wake.
her deals that weren't shown to us onscreen tie into this as well:
bomby, since his debut on bfdi, has been used as a weapon or tool by all of the people around him, mistreated and hurt and never taken seriously despite the fact that he tries to be strong and independent in the later seasons.
bell's privacy is treated as a joke by both the narrative and the others, and struggles to be left alone without help, help that more often than not isn't provided to her.
needle spent so much of her time in bfdia trying to appease others, which led to her being easy to take advantage of. she literally played on two teams at the same time in order to make everyone happy with her, but she eventually decided that she was tired of being used and left these groups, turning against them and deciding to win for herself.
barf bag's autonomy being tampered with started an apocalypse that changed the way she viewed herself and caused her to avoid her team for a brief period of time because she didn't want to be seen as a monster. in that same episode, her nightmare involved people doing things that she couldn't control and influencing her in ways that she couldn't stop.
what do you notice about all of these characters? all of them were overshadowed by others, either by prioritizing them over themselves or by being taken advantage of. all of them want to be recognized, respected, and heard, and despite that, all of them lacked one thing: control. if they wanted control in their lives, they'd have to fight for it, if they wanted power in their lives, they'd have to snap to get people to see that they deserved it. and if that weren't the case, the world around them would snap for them.
one seems to be very, very familiar with this kind of person. familiar enough for them to be her only targets, familiar enough for her to know exactly what to give them and exactly what they want to hear, familiar enough to suggest that this kind of person is much closer to her than just a means to executing her plan.
familiar enough that it could also very well suggest that this kind of person was one herself.
Tumblr media
now, we really have no idea what one's past looked like, but we do have a crucial detail given to us by six in tpot 17: she was supposed to be gone.
this implies that one must've done something, something so bad that it made the other algebraliens decide to get rid of her for good. could this have been something ongoing until they decided enough was enough, or was it something bigger than that? had one, perhaps, snapped, the same way we saw her do when she was tested in tpot 17, the same way we saw multiple of her signatories do when they were tired of being pushed aside and looked down on?
in tpot 13, one expresses that she does have power, "but not enough." while this could easily be read in reference to her plan, it also hints at how she looks at herself: her power is not enough. one is not enough.
she needs two's power because she can't reach her goal without it. she needs to become something bigger, something more, in order for her to feel like that's enough for her. being obeyed and looked up to by her victims makes her feel powerful, like she's more, like she's enough, having constant control makes her feel like she's enough, having everything she wants handed to her makes her feel like she's enough, because maybe, she never had that.
maybe, one was just like her targets, selfless and almost complacent at times, observant enough to spot the issues others were having, even if she was the only person who did, even if none of the others took her seriously, even if they pitied her, treated her as a lesser, and acted as though she had no power in her own life.
and all of that lasted until she decided that everyone deserved to be a little selfish - it's only fair.
she became tired of giving herself and not getting anything back. she became tired of being looked down on, tired of not having control - all one wanted was control for once, and she would get that whether they liked it or not.
and that frustration was enough to make one snap and do something that earned her imprisonment in the moon, which only served as a painful and enraging reminder of how they saw her.
she was going to get out, and she was going to make sure that nobody ever looked down on her again.
for now, this is all theories, and it's a bit rough, but i appreciate you guys for sticking around this long !! lets see how well these theories hold up.. if they do.. at all.. um

my roommate @latr1nal1a and i were discussing this scene in s1ep3 where petey is talking to mark in his basement
Tumblr media
he mentions a department that no one has been to before. a department where you aren't allowed to LEAVE.
he is CLEARLY talking about the testing floor, where they are keeping gemma!!!! she isn't allowed to leave!!!!!!
so. this has been established. petey somehow stumbled across the testing floor. which then means that he knows about the exports hall............
Tumblr media
a big question i've had the entire time while watching this show is how the FUCK does outie irving know about the exports hall. it's the kind of information that only an innie could know, and clearly innie irving had no clue about it until the OTC when he saw all the paintings.
so. how does outie irving know? who told him?
my leading theory so far was that reghabi was irving's contact. she seems to be the one with the most knowledge about the things going on inside lumon, so it would make sense that she would be working with irving.
HOWEVER, now that we've realized that PETEY knows about the testing floor.............who's to say it wasn't petey who told irving about the hallway? having been reintegrated, petey would probably have sought out irving as well!
let's go back to the message outie irving leaves over the phone in s2ep2
Tumblr media
"you're not picking up. i get it."
whoever irving is calling, they HAVENT BEEN ANSWERING.
guys. i genuinely believe that PETEY might be irving's contact on the outside, and the reason he hasn't been able to contact him is because irving has no idea that petey died!!!!!
that's how irving knows about the exports hall.

I still find it funny that Steven isn't immune to nasal congestion. (Or something like that.) Guessing it has something to do with Gems being solar powered, some sort of connection with Vitamin D to immune system in there...?🤷🏽‍♀️ Would that be the opposite when it comes to sun-related negative effects then? 🤔 Like, he can't get a sunburn or get affected by full cosmic rays?

Ok hear me out on this. I was watching TikToks and I nearly threw my phone across the room when this thought popped into my head. You know how juvenile birds (swans/chickens/ducks/and I presume fucking flamingos as well) have fluffy feathers until they shed those and their full adult feathers come in. What if that’s what’s happening to Vessel? He’s grown now 🥹 his fluffy downy feathers gone, replaced by sleek beautiful black feathers!

Whats interesting is whilst Shauna was gleeful at Mari being chosen in the hunt, im not 100% sure she would have been capable of killing her if she'd actually caught up to her. butchering a dead body, shooting at someone indirectly, cohercing others into violence, its not quite the same thing. like Shauna delights in violence, but Lotties the only one we've seen actively kill someone in the teen timeline (and that happens during a psychotic episode). the only person we've seen Shauna kill is Adam and that was on impulse when she felt threatened.
Has Shauna reached a point yet where she could actually take someones life in a premeditated way? because i dont think so, and im not sure she ever will reach it. Shaunas all desire, impulse, fear, and instinct. its very animalistic, and it seems like this is why Lottie sees so much of "the wilderness" in her. so yes clearly Shauna can kill when threatened or desperate, but can she kill just for the hell of it? because she hasnt yet, and it arguably goes against her nature to do so. its perhaps part of the reason why the incident with bruce the goat at Lotties compound effects her so much. she has no drive to kill him, theres no threat to trigger a violent response from her.
Shauna is always outward-looking, struggling to self-reflect or make sense of herself, but it also means she sees the world very simply. shes matter-of-fact, the only one who never truly believes on any level in "the wilderness" belief system (though she might pretend to for the sake of control). its another way in which shes almost animal-like in her approach to the world. animals dont need belief systems or stories and they adapt to their enviroment, becoming feral and reactive if thats what it takes to keep them alive.
It'll be interesting next season to see if Shauna gets the opportunity to kill in a more premeditated way, and doesnt take it. cant go through with it the way she thought she'd be able to. I think its why Callie is "her, but more", like Lottie says. because Callie can. Callie did. Lotties death happened on impulse but it wasnt an accident, we see Callie decide to push her, and Lottie wasnt a true threat in the way Shauna believed Adam to be. I think Lottie has perhaps seen Shauna's limits in a way the audience hasn't yet, and is referencing that. Shauna puts on a facade so she can rule through fear because she needs to feel powerful, clinging to it like a life raft, but she perhaps isnt as capable of murder as she wants everyone to think.

Travis is connected to so many deaths in the show and it’s kind of insane. Leaning heavily on the supernatural element for this one.
Travis breaking the branch his dad is on. We see coach Martinez lift his hand a little, before the branch breaks and he falls to the ground.
The fight between Shauna and Jackie that led to Jackie freezing to death alone started with her reprimanding the others for what they did to Travis during doomcoming.
In season 2 Travis is the one that starts the ritual that leads to the prayer circle for Shauna and her baby, I think when he is letting out blood, his mind was focused on protecting Shauna. Leading to her surviving, but not her baby.
We see the same thing happen later on in this season. Natalie is chosen for the hunt. He tackles Shauna to the ground to stop her, allowing Natalie to escape. Protecting her, but it led to losing his little brother in a horrific way.
In season 3 he is the only one who catches Nat heading for coach Ben. He makes a half hearted attempt to convince her not to put Ben out of his misery, before ultimately opening the gate that leads to the suffering man, letting Natalie in.
And of course in episode 9, we discover that Travis is the one who created the pit trap, he intended it for Lottie, but she breaks his resolve when she apologizes. But because that intent was there, Mari ran right into her death.
Maybe Lottie hyperfixating on him isn’t as random as we think.

FNAF SPOILERS! SCROLL! TALKING ABOUT THE SPRINGLOCK SCENE!
i’ve seen so many people discussing the springlock scene in both negative and positive ways and i think it brings up really cool points about how matthew played that scene and balanced fan expectations with his own characterisation.
i think the discussions around this movie have rlly exposed the disconnect between fanon and canon in fnaf, especially talking abt the core games in isolation, bc frankly in the game universe (ignoring the books) we get Very Little characterisation for William other than the obvious, but Matthew managed to add so much in the way he talks and his body language.
in the reveal scene, we see afton at arguably his peak. in his first scene, he comes off as somewhat demeaning and judgemental until he recognises mike’s name, at which point he seems to have this nervous energy, rushing to cover it up but stumbling slightly, his reaction to the tables being turned even slightly is massive.
this is a man who committed multiple mrdrs in essentially broad daylight, hid the bodies in the most obvious place, and still got away with it, and then kept the crime scene as a trophy of his actions, and an ongoing prison sentence for his victims. he has been in complete control for decades, and is confident that he can deal with any kind of threat quickly. his confidence in his reveal is palpable
it changes when vanessa shoots him. the whole parallel with vanessa and the animatronics is hugely interesting too- how william refers to the animatronics almost endearingly as “kids” when he wants them to obey, how both vanny and the animatronics have an unearned loyalty to him, almost a pseudo-adoption through what he did to them, taking them from their parents and keeping them under his thumb, forever stuck as naive, forgiving, obedient children. vanessa breaking from that control shakes him, but the mask slips back into place almost immediately.
then, he’s outsmarted by the brother of one of his victims, and the child he planned to end next. his pseudo-children turn on him and he can no longer manipulate his appearance or shed his skin to escape. he explodes on them, and his language is incredibly telling that he is being dishonest.
he calls them small, trying to belittle them into submission, even though they are ten feet tall metal animatronics powered by rage. he is grasping at straws to regain control, and failing miserably.
finally, the springlocks go off. the locks in the movie look more like a ribcage, so the first two likely puncture his lungs. they’re slow, and painful, but he doesn’t scream or beg or sob. he grunts and groans, gritting his teeth and only letting out sounds of pain that sound almost involuntary. there is no way in hell he would visibly let himself show weakness or pain in front of these creatures that he believes he has control over. he isn’t brought to his knees until there are eight metal spikes embedded in his abdomen. he doesn’t let the mask fall for even a second, until he literally PUTS THE ACTUAL MASK ON and finally collapses. even then, he’s fighting for consciousness, twitching and writhing with no control over his body. william afton thrives on control, and his soul will not rest until he gets it back.
it’s why he keeps the pizzeria- he always comes back. he can’t help but return to the scene of the crime, putting on his old costume, continuing his killings. he revels in being a constant threat on the horizon. and now, he knows he is going to die, and he knows the suit will bring him back, and noone will be able to get rid of him then. so he puts the mask back on, and waits.
in terms of the sfx- they’re pretty accurate. with stab wounds, you need to leave the knife in the wound as long as possible for best chance of survival, as it stops the blood from escaping. in terms of the springlocks, there wouldn’t be copious amounts of blood as the locks are keeping the wounds filled- which is good because it means a slower, more painful death.

red is to spider-man as pink is to miles, in that pink is the color of: self-expression, confidence, compassion. if you side with miles, if you want to support his growth, you're going to be in pink
that being said...a pink robe can be removed, and pink hairdye can be washed out
