Uh I know I don’t post that much of my art unless its fanart (aka that one Gaz angst piece) but here’s some art for my oc Lunette :D

been busy and side tracked with school and work stress and so uuuuuh have a formal/informal introduction to some ocs that I've posted a few things with and other i havent, same story, drawn impulsively after drawing a small pilot comic for one of my classes.

Mini lore dump/general details below the cut if you're interested.

These OCs are part of a different story than the character sheets I created and posted before, who have more or less realtively stayed the same since they were created. Might go a lil insane and create chatater sheets for them, I love to make them to be honest.

Me and @belovedknightdraws created all these characters we were wee lads, like 8 years old and their designs haven't chnaged much aside from some logistics, some name changes, story beats, etc.

The first chunk are the main characters of the story, Viper and Calisto and the three brothers that go by the aliases Red, Fang and Killer. The secnd two are Izzy and Sy, different embodyments/parts of one soul of the same being if you will. Essentially functioning as an ally to the gang and an enemy depending on the context.

In it's simplest explaination I can give without just rambling, the main group are all vampires with different attachments or relationships to their existence as vampires. The girls however are also able to use magic, taught to them by charcters like Izzy and Sy who took them in almost as wards. Izzy is an enigmatic being establishing themselves as a god within their universe and others. Left abandoned after certain tramatic events, the brothers live in isolation before the girls more of less invade their house and decided they would be living there against the brothers' will.

I absolutely adore your art style! It's so beautiful and soft looking! And your Design for Dawn is so so GOOD omg you really did such an amazing job of giving her features of both parents while also still standing out as her own strong character design

I also love your interpretation of Alastor as a father, I feel like I've seen so much of him being like, a shitty dad (and while yeah I could see him being a bad dad, It hurts me because I have a need for soft domestic family fluff 😭) and I just love your take on him!

I'm so glad you like what I put out about her!!! And I agree!! Soo many people make Al this cold and distant father and like.. I understand where they're coming from, but I personally just can't see him deny an innocent little girl her whims, even more so when it's his own flesh and blood :'3

And imo the whole hotel would pitch in when it comes to raising her so it only made sense to draw other members of the cast interacting with her too :D

Have Dawn discovering that her shadow is sentient and putting it to use for shenanigans :'D

(she doesn't yet know that it can deform and strech along walls, she just treats it like kind of a secret buddy until she has better control over it)

Normally a shadow entity like this must be bound via contract, but since Alastor offered up one of his lesser minions during her creation ritual, it reformed as an extension of her! I realized I never established this before so have it as bonus lore I guess xD

My OCs are NPCs by origin. I was (still am) the DM of my friend group and to get their characters moving along I had to create my own.

Unexpectedly, my friends loved them.

ILYA - unwell henchman

i know its a boys name,

An aiding hand to an ambiguous villain, Ilya was introduced as sneaky, smiling, and untrustworthy. The facade collapsed once she vomited inside a cup after accidentally touching the liquified remains of (unbeknown to her) her younger sibling. The villain is a wizard of great power and transported all the liquid from their body to put out a fire, mummifying and killing the person in the process in an attempt to save several.

She seeks her sibling amongst the city. The tingling awareness of their demise at the hands of the guild she encouraged them to join and growing panic and grief led her to start a fight with someone who is spiraling as well.

She ends up at the local clinic, heavily injured and minus one eye, and spirals further from her injuries, her guilt, and the knowledge her family was correct about her being too mentally fragile to be in the city. Until....

(For now. The overall arc for this character is of recovery and improvement instead of pain and self-destruction. Forgive your past and find value within you that goes beyond self-sacrifice. With the help of others, of course.)

Despite her questionable moral position, a lot of characters feel the need to protect her.

Art - Her wearing another characters shirt and her getting a widdle kiss from said character, because even I (the monster freak artist) have my lovely ships

ED - emo organ trafficker

Originally meant to be a minor antagonist that would kidnap a character to harvest their organs and be easily defeated. Villain of the week type.

However, his snarky behavior, violent temperament, fancy victorian-boy-esque looks captured a lot of attention. He is a little freak but his direct words seem to bring out a lot of honesty in other characters.

Fun facts; His name is inspired by Edward Hyde. He is roomates and best friend/adopted sibling to Ilya. He makes an effort to be fancier than he is because he was born a bastard child and forced to be his fathers servant before he murdered his siblings and father and joined the army to escape (where he met ilya and ultimately got adopted into her family <333)

Art - Him, and him as a chibi fighting the guy who rescued the person he kidnapped. They also fall in love

I recently made an oc just to mess around with the players while they were in jail! Well, now one of them drank his blood and is forever connected to him. The other one got her finger broken cuz she poked him. He also had the prision keys the entire time but pretended to be a prisioner as well. What a menace! I love making horrible pests. His name is red cuz thats how the others refered to him, because I described him as having red hair and red eyes.

Isnt it funny how despite being a DM I never use my monster designs?! I find it a lot more interesting to make characters specifically meant to alter the course of the character development of my players. I love to change deeply and irrevocably! : D

I've been trying to make this post for a while... This is my OC "master post"

This is Ltw, if you dig stories of super heroes with a bunch of teenager drama and high school tropes, this isn't the story for you! Sorry, but this gender is already really saturated so I tried to mix and match different tropes across the medias to create a weird love letter to Comics, Tokusatsu and anything that I really enjoy. It's a coming of age story about Hart Lee Valentine, who chose to left his father house to live with his uncle in a city called Saint Expedite, famous for crimes, urban legends and some of the worst pizza you can ever imagine, an absolute paradise for someone who really wants to have a fresh restart in life.

The cast consists mainly of this 5 characters.

Hart Lee Valentine: He's the son of the smartest man alive... But this is just a media claim, his father helped cure one of the weirdest illness know to mankind. But that doesn't matter at all, Valentine is already living under the shadow of his only parent alive (wink, wink) he starts as a calm and collected person but gradually starts loosing his manners, becoming an unhinged not so crazy science. He has an odd sense of justice but he's MOSTLY a pacifist who will try to talk before throwing hands around.

His favorite animals are moths and ducks, dor different reasons, in his opinion moths are our saviours from the monstrosities called butterflies. And ducks because he loves how versatile they are, he identifies with that Jack of all trades style.

Sadako Atsuko: She's the local emo weirdo girl of the class, nobody knows much about her and her brother Helis, they live together in a mansion in the middle of the city, she's always tired, not in the best mood and usually sassy. People don't know but she's actually heiress of The Atsuko family, one of Japan's most advance tech companies, she's also a city vigilant who uses fear to stop crime... Yeah she's basically my universe version of the Batman, her character is driven by masks and alter egos, she feels incapable of leading a normal life since she's shattered between personas, not knowing who's the real her, not knowing how to express her true self. Those burdens started to get louder to the point she started playing instruments, as a therapy, but this basically turned into another problem, her days are getting too short to accomplish all her desires.

Her favorite animal is the bat, the long eared ones! So yeah she's basically using a fursuit to fight crime.

Helis: Sadako's adoptive brother, he's basically the group heart, trying to make their maniacal schemes be a little more unhinged, he's the protector and the tallest one of them. Those responsabilities are instantly forgotten when he's near Valentine, something about him makes Helis adopt a more act first think later persona, but they usually have fun with that. He's the one that gives unsolicited advices with the bestest intentions he wants to know more about his origin and maybe who's his real family but that's more a monkey palm situation that doesn't goes well when he meets his father and sister. He usually helps Sadako in her schemes, usually to treat her wounds while calls her irresponsible, dummy or anything in between those lines (she doesn't even get a cute animal band-aid...) oh he has an abnormal strength and light based power's, but that doesn't matter much to him.

His favorite animals are giraffes, he likes that they have the strongest kick, and besides their pattern is beautiful.

Ettore Zanchini: the definition of overcompensate! He simply is a tryhard in absolutely everything, he has a rivalry with Helis, Sadako and sometimes even Valentine, everything he does is trying to be the best. He likes classy outfits and good manners, he's a true gentleman with a short temper and overachiever, even though he doesn't need to prove himself that much. He's the best athlete of the school and won several fencing medals, he usually fights using two rapiers for the simple reason that this is a really dumb idea, so it's a good exercise.

He really likes Wolves and Stags, specially because they're the princes of the forest, he definitely cried with Bambi but keeps it hidden.

Stefanny: Starting as a villainess, Stef is the last one to join the crew, she's really unused to a bunch of stuff the others enjoy but tries her best to get ahold of everything, she's not the warmest person and can be really misunderstood, she's gruff and goes direct to the point in most of her interactions, some have the audacity to call her impolite, BUT SHE'S NOT! She's just not used to have conversations longer than 45 seconds or with people that aren't psycho's, she and Sadako get along pretty well, perhaps because of all their battles and training, oh and even though she's all cool and collected... She has fire powers, yeah they are neat I guess.

Her favorite animal are salamanders, she loves those little moist dragons!

Ok so re design my Fairy Timmy ( and even came up with some ideas for his anti fairy ymmit; I based him on episode where Naga Timmy happened)

I like to think that if a human child gets turned into a fairy permanently and adopted by their fairy godparents the child starts to shine ✨ and be more positive thanks to getting the love they deserve and should’ve gotten from their birth parents while the anti fairy that gets created once that child fully becomes a fairy will be showing all the despair over the neglect & abuse the birth parents put that child through so they tend to come out a little bit angry but the anti fairies of their godparents somehow calm them down a little bit; in a way anti Cosmo for get the emo moody god kid he always wanted with anti fairy Ymmit (he still loves foop/ irep because hello that’s his son too; but him and anti Wanda been wanting Timmy to make into a emo kid for forever and now they got that) foop/irep liked being an only child so at 1st he’s grumpy about getting a new sibling until they bond over bullies but they do still fight like siblings would

Now under Wanda Cosmo and all of fairy world care (and nicktoons unite gang also helping him get use to new powers ) I believe Fairy Timmy would be able to have his hair long

For some odd reason Timmy’s birth parents didn’t like to let him have long hair and becoming Wanda & Cosmo’s kid permanently his fairy form takes on green and pink highlights in his hair

I don’t think his hair needs to match his eyes because apparently Jorgen had purple hair until baby Cosmo turned it white and jorgen’s eyes are blue not purple so I think the hair having to match the colours of the eyes thing doesn’t always apply to all fairies maybe just some of them; also while going through the change tummy was thinking of Wanda Cosmo and poof/Peri it affected some of his fairy form so he got a little of Wanda and Cosmo into his fairy changes so he has a bit of a extra glow about him (Jimmy did end up asking my fairy oc Felicity about that being as she was the last human child to be turned into a fairy permanently and is in charge of making sure Timmy settles into his fairy form and family well and make sure Jorgen doesn’t go too hard on Timmy and poofs/peri’s training (witch is why felicity thinks it’s good that the nicktoons unite gang are there to help with Timmy’s training as well because she knows Jorgen can go a bit far sometimes being as when nana boom boom adopt her Jorgen use to try to try her causing her to scream in fear and being as when fairy children scream in fear bad things happen thus nana boom boom would make exploring pies to throw at Jorgen when that happened to get Felicity to laugh and then make hot chocolate to calm her down;

When felicity ends up telling him the glow just shows how well love Timmy is by Wanda cosmo poof/peri and fairy world; it’ll calm down a little later but she herself kinda glows in the sunlight or those blue lights part of why the music fairy likes to invite her to her late night music celebrations at times

Also fact Timmy in fairy form has a glow will not help Jimmy trying not to fall head over heals for Timmy at all

So I am right, apparently. Moon has toasted the shit out of Nexus.

Poor boy. Getting eliminated by the "superior" version of himself, must leave a burn.

(man, if I have my old self call me cringe and emo, and my name is oc teenage phase, I would die from embarrassment.)

Also, even though Sun doesn't actually say anything, but with his hesitation and he speaks Nexus's name with the tone of parents seeing their child walk into their emo teenage phase and change their name into something cringe like "Dark princess or sparkle pony", make me laugh.

Like, Sun has to repeat that name again. Like he didn't even believe why Moon or Nexus said that.

(Moo--Nexus, I guess you are not past your furry phase yet.)

Okay, sidenote: Nexus mistakes Sun's name with him. And it seems like he has not completely gone nuts and cut ties with his "family" yet, because he still cares what Sun thinks about him, even though it comes out as sass.

(If Nexus doesn't give coins about what Sun or the family thinks about him, he wouldn't think about making another murders or assuming immediately that Sun and the others hate him and don't want him.

Also, the way Nexus talks about Sun, it gives me a vibe of "Sun is the most ill mentally person that I know and he is so sensitive about me went nuts, he immediately went with you and lived in another house.")

I think in Nexus's view, Sun is the snowflake. Because even though he used to love Sun, he sometimes jokes about Sun's hallucinating episodes (sorry, can't remember the name of this mental issues problem) and down straight humiliation Sun because of it when Nexus went nuts.

I think Nexus still holds some pieces of his care for Sun, because it seems like he tries to avoid talking about him .

Another sidenote, I see some people say Old Moon gets along really well with the others and the family just forgets and replaces Nexus with Moon, which I must say is outrageous not true.

Nexus right now is still a hard spot for everyone. No one is coping very well, with Earth doubting her ability and wanting to have a pet just to vent out all his problems; Lunar seems like out of track, he is just numbing himself and doesn't want to think about Nexus. (Classic trauma defense reflex)

Especially Sun. You can see his voice shift into something like he can't breathe and seemingly shaking just like how he talked with Jack. He doesn't seem to care about Moon's jokes about Nexus (how Nexus the dumb one, how Nexus tries to have an intelligent battle with him...) and immediately just wants to step back and sit down.

Old Moon or Moon doesn't actually get along with Sun. They are pretty awkward with each other, when Moon still tries his best to prove that he is better now while still a little bit falls in the same good old Moon's manner. Only now he has not hit Sun or directly yells at Sun to shut up.

We can see some moments, when Sun just immediately shuts down, and doesn't talk back to Moon.

(remember the gravel's history? Sun has spent 10 hours rambling it to Nexus. He is also pretty much more confident and comfortable with Nexus than Moon, cuz we rarely see them play games with each other anymore these days and Sun usually is very quiet when Moon says something outrageous about Nexus or when Moon is doing something stupid. )

It seems like they had not found their dynamic yet.

In the old old Moon and Sun. Moon will take the lead and Sun even though nervously, still happily tagging along. With Nexus and Sun, they are seemingly both equal, with Nexus feels like he is the younger brother to Sun. Nexus is still the one who leads, but feels like Sun has to tag along by force and has a ball to stand up for himself.

(he is still nervously though. He seems to hardly care or impressed anymore. Sun in those moments just gives up on trying to do anything because all his efforts are seemingly useless and he just leaves Nexus and Solar having fun. )

And now, it seems like when Moon tries to support Sun and hear Sun out, to be a better brother, Sun just accidentally falls back into his old habits with Moon.

( Be quiet when Moon needs. Don't talk back to him. Do as he says. Don't be stupid and impulsive.)

Sure he is getting better at having a backbone and stand up for himself. But It is ironic that right now Sun is exactly what Moon wants Sun to be back then.

So yeah, I think their dynamic now still has a lot of problems that can be improved and I am really eager to see more of how Moon tries to bribe Sun and the celestial family into getting comfortable with him, and him being smartass while trying to sneakly replace and flushed every single piece of Nexus's appearance out of celestial family's life.

F@cking a@shole, but he is kind of funny right now though with how he just like Nexus, accidentally makes Sun can't talk about the others because he doesn't like seeing Nexus in better light.

#Also, do you guys think Sun would think deeply about Nexus when he stays alone? Like how Dark Sun tries to get rid of Nexus, and how Nexus still willingly stays and works with him.

#Do you guys think how Nexus would rather go off railed and associated with some one danger and use him than staying with his family would make Sun think he is a bad brother?

Like he used to not be good enough for Moon, now he is not good enough for Nexus?

How does he have no energy to keep it together anymore and not even care if he upset Moon to some degree?

(like Sun becomes more sassier, and I can say, a little bit of colder. Sure, he still cares for Moon, and keeps his mouth shut when it comes to sensitive topics.

But He was rarely impressed by the mafia and sass Moon so much in jail. He doesn't argue back with Moon and just shut up like he gets tired of that and just changes topics. He straight out calls Moon out for his bullshit about his technology, about how weird it is, and just doesn't even care if Moon tells or doesn't tell him anything.

He seems to have a trauma response of how Moon gets injured though. He is so scared of hurting Moon, making every magic come out of him all just harmless. Turning people into goose, making rock into rubber fish. He immediately runs back at Moon when he thinks Moon is in danger , and just straight walks away when Sun realizes it's just another of Moon's bullshit thing.

the many. many faces in which stan marsh has taken within my personal writing. the many ways in which he permeates my mind and i find him within my characters near constantly, whether he wants to be there or not.

i find that, often, if i create a character meant to represent him or contain some of my emotions around/regarding him, then they are extremely close knit with a character who is supposed to fill some sort of role as 'me'. he is often in a hard-to-define relationship with the 'me' character, or in some cases, a found-family brother. it is difficult to pin down. but if there's a me, there will be a stan, and vice versa.

i guess the first category is "that's just stan", which admittedly, doesn't make for much of an original character, but i've got so many headcanons and such personal attachment through myself that... he might as well be. i think i'll only be sharing these obvious stand ins, for the time being. i got nervous writing out this post and need to hold SOME of my stanleys out of reach atm.

to start here is my classic "stan needs a fursona." sort of. the first one here is Baker, who IS just 'what if stan had a fursona'. the second is rayne who is a big dumb doggy who took all his best friends and left an ugly town he didnt wanna live in anymore, and is trying. SO hard to live somewhere else. however, he's also like. stan's fursona. the third is gensi, who is also currently sort of a blank character that i looked at and said "yeah, another blue/black dog in my possession, thats stanley alright"

then there's the people, who range from 'thats stan', to 'what the fuck'

this first one IS just stanley. i don't really try and act like he's an oc, because he isn't. this is the culmination of my 18 years living with a deep attachment to stan. i love him so much the second is marshwalker, though he's taken on moonwander in original writing, because it is cute and honestly fits his werewolf theming better. this is obviously a tsot inspired version of him, but he spans a lot further than that. he works his way into personal projects i've been cooking for about a year now, and slotted himself so perfectly into the story that it's almost wild to think i've only had him for two weeks. he's more of an oc both with the changes made to tsot for our au, AND because he IS stan's oc. like. marshwalker is stan playing a character, moonwander is... an evolution of that same character. the third one is raven. which i just... didn't have the energy to name much of anything else. he is a companion to one of my primary sona characters, and he's a sort of sign of snapshot of my stan, from about 5 years ago. while stan has changed a lot, raven remains the same. he's one i'd call more original now, because of the fact that none of the story he has rings true with..... anything in south park. he's just my little guy who is a dog and drinks too much sometimes.

zherr lou is the first one here, and he's inspired by a song i heavily associate with stan. he's...... he's fucking depressed, we'll put it like that. he's going through the worst of it all the time in his mind, and what does he have to show for the struggle? nothing. he's trying, so, so fucking hard to get better. it isn't working out. he's a loser. marsh is the second! creative name, isn't it? he was actually one of my very first "oh that's stan" OCs, obtained alongside another character who fell into a role of representing me pretty well. he's sort of just an emo boy with a serious. now THESE guys. the first one here is lowell!! he's been my reaction to going absolutely fucking feral over post covid. he's a hellhound who had a bad life and was down on his luck and stumbled drunk into a cafe bc he got cut off at the bar, and saw the prettiest fucking man in his life and has been doing everything to get that man to love him (spoiler: they are husbands eventually) second is logan, based on a mix of the "opposite personality" universe from spookyfish, as well as... as soul evans of soul eater. adrian and i will just make characters that are Anything, okay. it's kinda fucking awesome. he's bitchy and ready to attack people. he's a guard dog for his best friend. he's red. i love him. what more is there to say really. and alluin is the third... ohh, alluin.. in a really big over simplification of the idea. alluin exists to fuel a "what if i lost him" view. the effort i'd go to get him back. the things i would be willing to change to be what was needed to house him. he is so SO deeply personal and important and i cant even get INTO it. he's everything.

Thank you for asking!! In short, Post_Mortem will be a comic about trauma, tyranny, friendship, and purgatory! That’s all i can really say about it now haha (for spoiler reasons). I haven’t mentioned it here quite yet, but the comic will be out in only a few months! First chapter is set to be out mid-June if everything goes well, on the neocities I’m almost done with (will post the link here when it’s done). When it comes out, I’m planning to make a tumblr page for it so people can ask questions and interact with me more about it specifically, so stay tuned for that!

As for Izzy and Elegy’s seperate story, “Izzy and the Necromancer”, yeah you’re correct, i’m not focusing on that so much at the moment, since i am on the Post_Mortem grind rn lol. I will for sure post about it here and there though! I still love my little sillies.

Since you asked about Zephyrs wings.. i feel the need to answer your question but… it’s a little complicated… The story takes place from Elegy’s perspective for the most part, so it’s sort of how she sees him I guess? The wings are more metaphorical than literal, he’s a person she’s been very close to for a long time. He’s the first person she came out to, and someone who’s always had her back, and so she views him as i suppose “a little angel” in her own emo way. She totally looks up to him since he’s mostly got everything figured out (college, relationships, family, etc) and everything seems to work out for him all the time (or so she thinks) That’s the best explanation I can give!! :P

Hi! To clear up some confusion because multiple people keep asking me this; “Who is the Emerson family?” Or at least a member of them TW FOR MENTIONS OF DEATH AND SEMI-VIOLENT SCENES

Let’s start with Mr. Emerson himself! John Emerson!

John is a policeman that usually either gets stationed in the neighborhood he lives in, or he goes around patrolling other neighborhoods in the town. He’s been in the police business for a while (years) and he likes doing it! He loves helping people! However he does have a side to him that can and will kill you (or at least seriously injure you) if you hurt the people he cares about, mainly his family. His immune system isn’t very great and he gets sick a lot around the flu season, which kinda sucks, but he refuses to not go to work, which kind of worries Mary (and Ryder as well). It’ll get to the point where Mary forces him to stay in bed, she will literally wrap him in a blanket to make him stay. He is very loyal (COUGH COUGH. @lord-of-the-bundle-of-sticks @todds-diary @that-fruitier-emo) and we love him for that. He taught Ryder basic manners and to actually respect women, despite most fathers at the time not caring about the latter, which is why Ryder is so insistent on teaching that to the other kids (island kids and daycare kids). Ryder really looks up to him, even after the island, although he’s more subtle about it after the island because he’s more reserved in general. Overall a great guy, I’d talk to him about my problems and he’d hug me as I rambled.

Next is Mrs. Emerson, Mary Emerson!

She is a saint I swear…and pretty…Beautiful even…Anyways! She’s a daycare worker, she made her own daycare because the others in the area kinda sucked in her opinion (discrimination issues among various types of people + “what about the poor people with children :( we have to help them somehow”) she will literally give discounts near the holidays please go to her daycare. Literally the most comforting person aside from Ryder himself. She doesn’t care who you are (and she might know who you ARE before you realize, in Ryder’s case…🏳️‍🌈) she will be there for you, it doesn’t matter how hard you breakdown, she will find a way to comfort you. She says that she doesn’t have a favorite child in the daycare, but she definitely does (it’s technically Ryder but he works with her so he doesn’t count) nobody knows who it is and the kids try to play guessing games, and everytime she leaves the room to do something, the children repeatedly ask Ryder who’s the favorite and he doesn’t know either, but he says that he likes Klaus a lot (@lord-of-the-bundle-of-sticks oc) and Ira (will reveal all of the daycare children soon enough, also Ira is they/them). She taught Ryder how to cook and somehow Ryder surpassed her skills in cooking, but Ryder always says she’s better, because he IS a mama’s boy and he can’t bring himself to make his mum sad ever. I just wanna hug her and melt hhgfssmhgh….Oh I love her so…💚💚💚 She’s my wife but also not-

Lastly, my favorite little guy (he is 16, he is not little) Ryder Emerson!

Despite what all the kids think, he’s not actually an angel, he does typical teenager stuff (sneaking out at night, occasionally drinking because of Lust, and rotting in his room for months after the island! Y’know, totally usual behavior for teens please don’t rot in your rooms that’s bad for your mental health) and he might’ve indirectly caused a few deaths on the island, but we aren’t talking about that- He scarred Gluttony because he killed Sloth and Ryder obviously didn’t like that he bit Jack and Maurice out of self defense, and he might’ve smacked Roger on the head on the island at least twice…He got tired of them eventually. I swear he’s overall a good person, that island just really messed him up mentally and physically. In the fight between Jack and Ralph at the end, Ryder ended up getting scars from Maurice because Maurice slashed him with his spear, meaning to stab him (it was Jack’s command and Maurice was kind of a little gone). Speaking of the Merridew kid, he and Ryder are therapy partners/friends together due to their therapist thinking that exposed therapy would be a good thing for them, which it kind of was. Ryder got so much better after talking to everyone that survived on the island, even though he still feels iffy with some of them (Ralph, Roger, Maurice, Samneric all technically betrayed him in some way). His relationships with the sins (also @lord-of-the-bundle-of-sticks ocs) got so much better, although Gluttony’s was…Not good for a while, they eventually forgave each other in their own way, I’d like to say it started here, which I believe would take place a couple months after they got off the island: https://archiveofourown.org/works/52156768/chapters/131921551

I really love seeing this AU. Doffy is just a million times better and more lovable here because, oh, idk, maybe because he DIDN'T kill Corazon and traumatize Law?

Though, this may be because my OC is traumatized by Doffy, and I have a habit of inserting my OCs everywhere, so maybe I'm just happy to see my OC happy. Gotta love wholesome moments as much as the trauma and angst!

but i do have a little bad news that the original idea of modern DQ fam AU is not as wholesome as i drew so far i’m sorry 😭 doffy is still a shady dude, but not as evil as in canon (or is he…) I just always imagined in modern setting, DQ fam is still a crime family who uses their company to launder money, like the idea of an egotistical maniac crime boss doffy having an ex cop brother (is he really an ex cop tho…) and adopting bunch of children and one of them being a doctor prodigy can be an interesting crime family drama, but for now they still deal with mundane slice of life shenanigans with law being an emo teen lol (the genre of this au: crime, family, dark comedy, slice of life)

i’m still focusing drawing happy and wholesome moments from this AU and i don’t know if i have time to explore it more in the future, and it’s not going to be as tragic as in canon (i know people would be mad if i murdered cora in this AU too but i do like tragedy dramas haha 😭, but don’t worry he’s still alive) (and maybe i need to watch more crime family dramas for references)

My favourite elements of whump have to do with power dynamics, intimidation, dread, and angst. I love captivity-with-a-cause: kidnapping for ransom or as leverage over someone else, prison (in fantasy or historical settings, less so for modern settings though it’s not a hard rule), and the like. Fantasy presents so many creative versions of this trope, so I do love me some fantasy whump! It also gives lots of opportunity for dungeons, shackles, and other fun implements like that. Gratuitous tying or chaining up is always delightful to see. Pining, desperately trying to protect a loved one (…and failing), and self-sacrifice are other big tropes I love, so expect to see lots of those!

As for characters, I love it when they are as far as you can get from perfect, pure, and innocent—when they’re good enough people, but whose flawed or maybe even problematic decisions lead them into trouble. Always, always, I want my characters to have a hand in their own fates. Pure-hearted victims of the narrative who simply fall into a whumpy situation are cute and fun, but not what I tend to write.

My Gf recommended that I talk about my ocs SOO I decided on drawing all of the main ones I could

OK so. There's 4 universes. The grow a demon one, the one with Juno as the mermaid, clouds, and then Avelina's rock band one.

The grow a demon one is ESSENTIALLY about a lot of dark subjects (tw) but to dumb it down its basically factory created demons who submit to their humans. (This is probably my most thought-out oc lore that started out as a joke)

The merman one is basically a gay coming of age love story with some dark family subjects (tw) so they run away together and eventually it ends in heartbreak (oopsiesss)

The avelina one is just about this little Latina emo falling in love with this tuff guy and introducing him to her band. Just some tomfoolery and drama between them

Then clouds is just a weirdcore lil silly guy who I'd draw whenever I disassociate. Haven't figured out much so he's in his own category. He goes to different places where his hair serves different uses and gets led around by eyeballs that are deemed untrustworthy, but they're just silly ok!!
