For the colonel he's constantly feeding raiden bad info to keep-#-the mission afloat. His skull #For emma she created the arsenal gear worm (hands)#And for rose i mean obviously like. shes pregnant in this game. but its got a bigger meaning for the plot and for raiden specifically #since it's part of the reason why he tries to be better. Her connection to him is what keeps him grounded during the whole mission #and together they all form the 'vital' organs #Alternatively i wanted to name this 'malfunctioning machine' but anyone can probably figure out that one if they wanted. Hello I made you some more art!! IDK Why your little guys have just stuck in my brain as of late but yeah I'm just on a roll I guess!

This piece was inspired by wondering who was present around Machete's assassination, and how people around him would react to his downfall. So I had the idea for a portrait of a final lover's embrace, as Vasco holds his dying beloved in bloodsoaked arms.

I tried my best with the clothing -- especially the shoes -- and I think I did a pretty good job but BOY were they hard! XD Anyways, I hope you like this one, it was a blast to draw! I love machete sm istg <3

I know I'll be agonizing over this piece for a while #some potentially upsetting lore musings!! violence and tragedy and stuff:#I haven't cemented the chain of events yet but I believe he was ambushed by a single assailant when he was alone #either early in the morning or late evening #he didn't manage to put up much of a fight that time the first stab punctured a lung and the second nicked a carotid artery #I believe you lose consciousness in a minute or so and generally bleed out in less than three #Vasco wouldn't have been informed of the murder because why would he be and even if he somehow found out very quickly #the distance between Rome and Florence is roughly 250 km don't quote me on this but it looks like it'd take at least 4 days on horseback?#I think but I don't know how horses work to be honest #maybe they had some sneaky correspondence going on but if there was a pause in communications it wouldn't have been a cause for concern #so it's highly likely he'd only find out when he rolled in town for another business trip #and Machete had been buried weeks or months ago

idea below

this was based on an idea discussed in the discord about the reunion between malachi and laurance after the whole 15 year irene dimension debacle, but for those unaware, myself and some others have a hc that being in the irene dimension was physically painful for laurance, as a shadow knight. like very.

i drew him in his sk form, which was kinda just a whim, but maybe it could be explained by saying that he involuntarily turned due to the stress that the dimension inflicted on his body, although him being in his form gave me ANOTHER idea, so you can pick whichever you want to believe.

the other idea: rather than this being the reunion from the return from the irene dimension, maybe it’s from laurance’s return from his silly little 3 year nether side quest (AUGH😞), which would imply that he just hadn’t transformed back yet if he’d just then returned.

also, if that were the case, of course malachi would be glad to see him, but i think he’d also be fucking pissed. and confused. but also understanding because he’s malachi. but yes lots of father/mentor-son feelings. anyways.
