I'll admit, I was a bit taken aback by this at first. Of course, I had to protest. Wouldn't that be unfair to the few people who voted for him, I asked?

But he explained that, since he already won last year, he wasn't really looking forward to all the attention and hassle from winning a second time. And seeing as it apparently meant a lot to me, he'd rather just let me win than miss his wedding.

Yeah, apparently he's about to be wed to someone named Komaeda in a few days? Good for him.

Imma be real, I think I like the og Twitter Tumblr Sexyman contest more than the Tumblr Sexyrematch.

This isn't hate against Cecil or him winning, I get that he means a lot to people for a variety of reasons. I get that he's the voice of nightvale and was one of the biggest tumblr icons (even as someone who's only been here since like 2019 I can appreciate that), and I think that him winning is a really interesting indicator that old Tumblr still thrives. However, his victory is completely normal and uneventful.

In the og Twitter polls, #ReigenSweep wasn't just a phenomenon limited to the sexyman competition; he had just come off of victories for #1 MILF and Twink. Him somehow winning in categories he didn't deserve, only to come up to the finals in a competition he actually belonged in to just barely lose was both peak humor and very much in-character. Sans, king of memes, megalovania, and lazinees, winning by the slimmest margin was also both funny and in-character.

It's somewhat surprising, but I don't think that Two-Face qualifies as a sexyman. I mean, he fits SO MANY of the sexyman tropes, but surprisingly lacks the popularity and kind of community that he would need to truly qualify.

Ok I'm not SUPER invested in the current tumblr sexyman polls (first one was on Twitter/only heard about when Sans won, it feels repeaty) but I'm actually suprised Cecil is winning.

Cause I'm biased (and bc I literally never heard of Cecil) I want Sans to win but it's honestly impressive that Cecil is winning. From what I vaguely picked up, he was really big in 2013 so it's surprising he still has an active fan base. I mean it's actually not thar close so props to him.
