Flufftober Day 25: Costume Party
Peter Parker x f!reader
Word Count 1.0k
AN: I have officially finished writing all of my prompts for Flufftober, I'll be proofreading the last few before I post them. The problem is, I've really enjoyed all the writing I've been doing and how much everyone has liked my stories. So I want to ask for some requests that I can write after my short break! If you could send a request that would be amazing. As always, Reblogs and Feedback are really appreciated, and I'll see y'all tomorrow!

“I am not wearing that.” You deadpanned at Peter who was smiling toothily at you. In his hands, he held one of those awful foam costumes, a matching set. “I am not wearing a piece of foam that makes me look like jelly on toast, not to a party.” You didn’t think that gaveling a couple's costume was a bad idea you thought it might be fun but you drew the line at food.
“C’mon Babe, match with me.” He encoded his strongest pair of puppy dog eyes and aimed them right at you.
“I will match with you, just not as PB and J” you laughed. “What about Shaggy and Velma.”
“Who would be who?” He asked.
“We’ll you’re the smart one so you’ll probably be Velma and I look good in green so I’ll be shaggy.” You shrugged.
“Do they even make male Velma costumes?” Peter began scanning the store for a gender-bent version of the character.
“Probably not but we could always go to the thrift store.” You suggested
And so you did, two hours and the thrift shops later you had your costumes for the costume party on the NYC campus that your roommate had invited you to.
Parties weren’t your thing but when you had told Peter about it, he had gotten excited. “I’ve never been to a college party, or a Halloween party, or any kind of party that wasn’t a birthday party.” So you cast aside your desire for a cozy night in with your boyfriend, watching movies in spooky pajamas and eating candy that you go from the gas station. You went costume shopping with your dork and basked in the joy that radiated from him all day.
Now, the two of you were about a block away from the party, you’d decided to walk, partially because you didn’t have a car and partially because you wanted to be able to check out other people’s costumes on the way. “Do you think people will know who we are?” Peter asked you. You looked down at yourself, wearing a short corduroy mini skirt and a green top tucked into the waistband, along with a pair of old brown dress shoes you usually saved for special and formal occasions. Then your gaze landed on Peter, you were surprised that you had found the orange turtleneck right away but it fit him well. He also wore a pair of red jeans that you had to force him into a pair of glasses that you popped the lenses out of.
“I’m sure baby, we’re killing it right now.”
“We are, aren’t we?” Peters's voice got soft and he looked at you. He placed a kiss on your temple and kept walking.
When you arrived at the warehouse the party was at, it was obvious that most of the people there were not in college. Party crashes weren’t rare, but it did mean that Peter would need to keep a close eye on you. This many strangers in one place was bound to be trouble. You had made him promise that he wouldn’t be Spider-Man tonight, that was your condition for going to the party at all.
“I’m not going if you’re going to have to race out of there right away and leave me there.” He agreed it was fair after all, you hadn’t wanted to go, so leaving you alone wasn’t the nicest thing he could do.
So instead, he danced with you, he held you close and he laughed with you when you saw funny costumes. Multiple people complimented you on the outfits you were wearing and every time it happened you watched Peter perk up just a little bit.
As the night wore on, you got a little sloppier, not drunk. You wouldn’t get wasted when you were so keenly aware of how many people you didn’t know and how far from home you were. But you were loose and Peter wasn’t. It’s not like he didn’t have anything to drink, he just metabolized it way too fast.
By three a.m. the party still hadn’t wound down, but as Peter watched you yawn and lean on him a little more than usual he decided that it was time to go.
“Wanna go home, babe? Put in our PJs and watch a movie?” You eagerly nodded and grabbed onto his hand.
It wasn’t easy getting you home, you seemed to trip on every little thing and had a serious case of the giggles but eventually the two of you made it back to his apartment. Peter helped you up the stairs and in past his door. When your eyes landed on his couch you groaned pleasantly and flopped down onto it. Burying your head in the throw pillows you had bought.
“C’mon babe, we gotta brush our teeth and change into PJs”
“Don’t wanna, comfortable”
“I know babe, but you’ll be mad at me tomorrow for not making you do some sort of routine.”
Even tipsy you knew that you would want to take off your makeup before you went to bed, so even though you groaned and whined the whole time, you let Peter help you take your makeup off, and brush your teeth and hair.
Peter gently guided you into the bedroom where he pulled out the Halloween PJs you had bought for the two of you before you knew that you were going to the party. He helped you into them, his eyes never starting from your face as he did.
When all your routines were done and you were ready for bed, Peter pulled you to his side and kissed your head like he always did before you fell asleep.
“Thank you for coming with me Shaggy,” you laughed.
“You’re welcome, Velma” was your deeply sleepy response, as soon as the words left your mouth, your eyes shut and you fell asleep immediately.

Part 2 to Scares And A Sudden Friendship! - Reader goes by They/Them as always. - Bravery soul! 🧡 - Content Warning: Swearing - Horror goes by Sans because this is a Horrortale exclusive timeline. - Recommended to have context from the previous oneshot for this one! - posting while it's raining..hopefully it goes through-
You enter your apartment, tossing your costume aside the moment you enter your room and changing into some comfy pajamas. Looking through some albums, you put one of your favorite CDs into a small radio and let the music play in the background.
..You're not happy. But you also had a lot of fun with..what was his name again?
You hold up your phone, looking at the newly added contact.
'sans' is what it reads. Right, "Sans". Sans the skeleton. The skeleton who helped you scare the shit out of your shitty boyfriend..priceless.
Your thoughts are interrupted by a reply from your soon-to-be-ex. With a deep breath, you look at his message.
[him] (what do u wanna talk abt)>
[you] (you)>
[him] (tf did i do)>
There's a long conversation between you..his messages making you angrier and angrier until you abruptly break up with him, blocking him immediately after.
You don't realize you're crying until you see your teardrops hit the phone, hurriedly wiping them off to avoid possible water damage. You glare at your ex's name. FUCK him. And all of his friends he'd rather spend time with.
You let out a sigh. This might be the worst Halloween you've ever had..
You hear a ding from your phone, looking back down to see a new message, tapping it.
[sans] (heya)> (get home safe?)>
You can't help but smile a little, leaning back and replying.
[you] (yup)> (just dumped him, feelin like shit)>
[sans] (well we all gotta feel like shit at some point)> (its a part of life)>
[you] (thats true)
He sends you some random memes he had saved in his phone from someone he knows, letting you get some laughs.
[you] (so are we still up for getting coffee tomorrow??)>
[sans] (yeah if you wanna)>
[you] (hell yeah i wanna)> (this'll be fun)> (i wanna know more about you mr. skeleton)>
[sans] (mr. skeleton? cmon you can make a better nickname than that)>
[you] (gotta get to know you better first!)>
[sans] (fair enough)> (it's pretty lafe you should be going to sleep rn)> (*late)> (big hands)>
You let out a snicker.
[you] (yeah but i don't really wanna sleep)>
[sans] (if you sleep now you can wake up on time to go get coffee tomorrow)>
[you] (hmmm)> (fair enough- wait what time should we go? and the place??)>
[sans] (i usually wake up late so how does 12 sound? we can just go to that little coffee shop around the corner from the haunted house)>
[you] (perfect i'll see you then :])>
You pass out cold the moment your head hits your pillow, exhausted from the night's events.
Morning soon arrives, the sun rising as you do. You bury your face in your pillow before your alarm abruptly goes off, forgetting why you set it and frowning. ..Before you suddenly remember, jumping up in a tired daze. You rub the sleepiness away from your eyes with your hands, standing up and going to make some of your favorite breakfast.
Your morning routine goes as it usually does, you then approach your closet to figure out just what to wear. It should be something casual, yet warm..you look through your selection, picking out something that feels perfect, looking in a mirror and making sure nothing is out of place.
TIme to go! You rush outside, grabbing your bag on the way out and holding up your phone.
[you] (omw!)>
[sans] ( 👍)>
A cold breeze blows through the air, moving your clothes a little with it. You come to a stop as you reach the coffee shop, looking around for a particular skeleton and running up to him with a wave.
"Hey, there you are! Sorry if I'm late." You smile sheepishly, resting your arms at your sides. The skeleton simply sends a smile your way, shoving his hands in his now clean jacket's pockets.
"nah, you're early. i just got here myself." He shrugs a little.
"Sweet, looks like we're right on time then, huh?" You smile, holding open the door for him. He promptly replies with a "thanks", before walking in and holding the door so it doesn't shut on you.
You both walk over to one of the booths in the back at Sans' suggestion, sitting by the window across from one another. The sounds of cups clinking and very few people talking fills the air, a comforting sound. You can faintly smell the coffee beans in the back, taking a deep breath to take in the scent.
Sans taps his fingers against the table in a rhythmic pattern, his bright red eyelight turning from you, to the window, then back to you.
You sit your bag to your left, resting your elbows on the table and putting your head between your hands.
"So, Mr. Sans..consider this an interview of sorts."
"yikes, haven't had one of those in a hot minute." He puts his other arm's elbow on the table, resting his cheekbone in his palm to somewhat match you. "shoot."
"Alright- first off...why a haunted house?" You raises a brow, genuinely curious why he chose to work there.
"well, you tend to get used to spookin' people when you're a monster that looks like i do. so, why not take advantage of it? maybe get paid in the process. sounds pretty good to me. plus it can be pretty funny if you catch the right person off guard. just look what happened last night."
"Yeah..people shouldn't judge you based on how you look, though. At least, that's what I think."
"weren't you scared too?" He raises a browbone.
"Well, not as much as I could've been. But I've always been like that. Not a lot of things can scare me. Stumbling across you was more fun than scary. 'What will this actor do?', y'know?"
"huh..interestin'. would've assumed based on, ..well..you know. i tend to come across as big 'n scary."
"Not to me." You smile. His eyelight shrinks a little in its socket, before returning to its usual burning state as he smiles.
"Okay, your turn. You wanna ask me anything?" "why'd you end up with that scaredy cat back there? lemme know if that's too personal. i can change it." "No, it's fine," You sigh, lowering your hands so now your arms are fully on the table. "I dunno. We were fine at first, it seemed like he genuinely liked me back..but then he just grew really distant and ignored me a bunch." "well, it's a good thing you're not stickin' with somebody that's wastin' your time, huh?" "Yeah.."
A waitress walks over cheerfully, asking both of you what kind of coffee you'd like. You order your favorite, Sans shrinks down a little in his seat before replying with "black". She walks off, and he visibly relaxes.
"I'm..guessing you're not much of a people person, huh?"
"absolutely not. at least when i'm actin' i don't have to worry about talkin'. i just.. chase."
"I get that. I'm not the best with people myself. ..That's something we have in common." You smile.
"i guess it is, huh?"
A moment passes of comfortable silence between you. The waitress returns with your cups, sitting them down and waving goodbye before walking back over behind the counter.
"So..you have any family here?"
That question piques his interest, a fond smile crossing his face.
"yeah..my brother, papyrus. we're livin' together up here. he's a lot more..energetic than i am. kinda loud since his hearin's not all there. i think he'd like you."
"Really?"
"he's the kind of guy to wanna make friends with everybody, no matter who it is. he always.. sees the good in people." He looks down at the table, his smile still ever present. You can't help but smile too, about the fond way he speaks of him. They must be very close..you'd like to meet Papyrus sometime, if given the chance.
Maybe..
"You think I could meet him sometime? I-If that's too forward, I totally understand, of cour-" "..yeah. i'm sure he'd like to meet a new pal." "A..new pal?"
He nods. Your smile shifts into a grin.
"I'd absolutely like to be pals." "then i guess what's what we are, huh?" "Yeah..I like the sound of that."
The two of you finish off your drinks while you shoot more questions back and forth then exit the coffee shop, bidding each other goodbye. You can't help but feel a little pep in your step as you make your way back home, sitting on your couch and watching one of your favorite childhood movies.

I sorta wanted to save this post for tomorrow because I promise you these three won Halloween> They are basically the queens of Halloween by keeping it in their hearts all year round as far as I can tell. Halloween is a magic time of the year for those of us who care about it. On one hand, I can watch horror movies and not get the weird looks I do the rest of the year. Instead when I reveal I plan to spend the entire weekend with a bunch of friends watching horror movies and eating junk food people tell me how cool that is. In April I promise you that would nto be the reaction. You also get to play dress up which is just fun. You get to see everyone else play dress up. Just people are less uptight because it's a holiday with no actual significance to anyone other than you're supposed to have fun. There si no real baggage from religion or family drama cause it isn't one of those holidays. It's just that one where you got free candy as a kid and got to pretend you were a ninja or a princess. It's kind of hard to poison that. But if you didn't notice, friends come up a lot in this. Because it's not a family holiday, it's a friend one. You went trick or treating with friends. You watched scary movies with friends. Maybe you TPed someone's house with friends. I have a lot of Halloween memories and most of them involve my friends. Us on the basement floor splitting up candy. Us devising the perfect costume for that last year where we could carry extra masks in our bags, swap them around and then go back to hit the best houses again fro more of the good candy. Staying up late watching horror movies after trick or treating. Good stuff. So, I love that these three don't just put in a lot of effort into their costumes but they have the dedicating to group costumes. It elevates everything If I were to pick just one person this year it would be Lili Reinhart because she looks phenomenal in that Harley Quinn costume. The thing is though, it's so much better because Poison Ivy and Catwoman are there. I didn't even love the Gotham Sirens comic but you know what, they are a matched set now because of it and it makes for a stronger costume. And that goes with all their old costumes. A Powerpuff Girl is just a brightly colored dress. all three is amazing. One of the witches from Hocus Pocus? People might not even know who you are. All three? Dynamite costume. Cause all that ill gotten candy? Those full sized snickers bars we got three of because we were greedy little assholes? It tasted so much better cause I got it with my friends. So they won Halloween but I am not waiting to post them because who knows what tomorrow will bring. Maybe I'll just post them again. Today I want to fuck Camila Mendes, Lili Reinhart, and Madelaine Petsch.

Halloween Week of Horror (Games)
It’s that most horrible time of year, and I’ve decided to explore the spooky world of text-based games. My list of games is cribbed from this post and this post.
Just a couple today, since tomorrow and Halloween I'm going to focus on some of the bigger names on my list!
GAMEIFY HORROR // DAY 1 // DAY 2 // DAY 3 // DAY 4
DAY 5, my father's long legs, beneath floes, bogeyman
Tumblr media
my father’s long, long legs
An interactive horror story about family, unease, and loss.
I suspect I’ve played this one before—it’s faintly familiar to me, though I'm not sure whether it's because I've played this game in particular, or just taken in something similar while trawling the vast depths of the internet. That said, it is truly affective, well-told, well-paced. The grunting shoveling noises, the scrape of the shovel, the familial silence and lack of explanation for why this is happening to you, in your family...it's all very good. Throw in some Junji Ito-esque body horror, plus the absolute banger of an ending, and you've got a great game.
I do wish that you could go deeper into the mother and brother---what they knew, why and how they dealt with that---but I understand that it wouldn't serve the cadence of the story. Still, I would have given anything to see more into where the brother went, why the mother chose to withdraw, and how you-as-narrator deal with those changes.
SPOOKY LEVEL: 4/10, mostly for dread and a little bit of body horror
OVERALL GRADE: A-
Tumblr media
beneath floes
Qikiqtaaluk, 1962. The sun falls below the horizon and won’t return for months. You wander the broken shoreline, wary of your mother’s stories about the qalupalik. Fish woman, stealer of wayward children: she dwells beneath the ice.
This might be the first game that genuinely surprised me---not because it was such a radical departure from the other games, but because it was so clear in its vision. The mechanics (clicking for individual steps, the gradual appearance and disappearance of text) and the art (seemingly hand-painted, lovely) made it such a divine example of the form. That fact that it incorporates Inuit stories, history and life, and a certain sheen of almost cyberpunk post-modernism, made it even more divine to live in for a bit.
(There's something about telling horror stories without---hope, maybe? Telling stories when you know there is no escape from them, when even if the girl in white can escape, she will never, ever be saved. Stephen Graham Jones does this very well in his novels, and it strikes me as an interesting approach.)
Also, I chose to kill that kid for his Superman comic every single time, and regret nothing.
SPOOKY LEVEL: 1/10, for a little bit of murder, but just a scoch! Mostly just sadness and storytelling.
OVERALL GRADE: A-
Tumblr media
bogeyman
You can go home when you learn to be good.
Whelp, this is it. This is the game that truly, truly won me over. I loved this one---starting with the ongoing question of complicity, as you become the Bogeyman’s favorite plaything even as he abuses you, pits you against the other "children" and forces you to undertake horrible tasks. (As one of the commenters pointed out, you never seen the Bogeyman in full. He is always "a jagged mouth" or dirty hands, or big, enormous, larger than the sky.)
This is also one of a couple games that truly felt open-concept. You could play it many different ways---my first round I chose to keep my fellow captives’ secrets, let Imogen escape, and it felt shockingly good. Even as my character was marched off to their death, even that felt good. I’ve never had that experience playing a game before, where my choices mattered, and I could make the choice to begin with.
As a final note, I'll add that the refrain of "We are truly grateful for what we have," with all its curdling echoes? Fantastic.
SPOOKY LEVEL: 7/10, for mental and physical abuse, creeping dread, and cannibalism
OVERALL GRADE: A

girl save me w a drabble im begging for scraps
so this has been sitting in my drafts for a long while, it's a sequel to this late halloween drabble and i might as well post it
Mairon’s head snaps to the window at the sound of thunder, the frames shiver with every heavy rumble. It’s very nearly morning and the storm is yet to abate. His master is yet to return. He has no qualms about leaving Mairon behind for days, weeks, even months on end, on some rare occasions, when really, they should have gone hunting together.
Mairon misses him, wondering where Melkor’s hunger will lead him tonight.
He goes back to cleaning an urn, a small thing made of stygian marble and intricately inlined with gold that he’d noticed had been gathering dust, one of the many collectibles his master has gathered over the centuries. He wipes it down to perfection, until he can see his reflection in the black alabaster. He puts it back where it belongs and makes way to a wall overspread with weapons of all shapes and sizes, the last thing he’ll be attending to before the sun rises and he retires for the remainder of the day. He’ll dust, tomorrow. He’s got nothing better to do in this still, quiet manor, so might as well.
He’s in the process of polishing a saber when a familiar presence invades his senses. The air grows potent, heavy with the force of his lord’s power, shifting the atmosphere, weighing it down. No matter how long Mairon had served him, he could never quite get used to the magnitude of his master’s strength.
So soon?
Its is soon, but Mairon isn’t complaining. He lays the sword down and heads for the door to welcome him.
He finds him in the hallway, damp with rain and hair sticking to his back as he ascends the steps leading to the second floor, his long coat gone and he’s– Mairon has to do a double take, just in case he’s seeing things. His master is carrying someone, said missing coat wrapped around the person of which he can only glimpse long, fair legs hanging off his master’s right arm. Mairon stands there at the bottom of the staircase, tongue-tied, his mind spiraling with a multitude of questions that he knows better than to give voice to.
He had been in his lord’s service for the better part of a millennia now, and not once had he come back from his outings bearing anything beside relics and recherché treasures, and for all his charm and self-assured demeanor, he had never been overly fond of or ever sought any other’s company, even those of his own kind.
So, who–
“Mairon.”
Mairon’s body snaps back to attention like someone’s pinched his nerves. “My lord.”
“Prepare a bath." Comes the order, absent-minded, almost, gaze fastened upon whoever he's carrying.
“At once, my lord.” His master sounds at ease, for the most part, but something in his tone hints at urgency, that Mairon be quick about it and so, like a bat out of hell, he does just that. The bath is drawn apace, and he lays out everything one might need next to the large tub in orderly fashion, fresh wash cloths and smooth stones, soaps and scented oils. Mairon is in the process of reaching out when his master steps into the steaming washroom fully clothed, expecting to be handed the individual tucked close to his master’s chest, hidden away under the dark garment, but the lord ignores him entirely and makes way to the bathtub.
Mairon stares at his master’s retreating back in wide-eyed confusion.
The coat falls at his master’s feet, carelessly discarded to the ground as though it doesn’t cost a fortune, sleeping gown follows, pale and thin and equally wet. His master kneels, carefully sinking the person in his arms in the hot liquid, the water splashing gently, some of it spraying his boots as he reaches for a cloth, his other hand cupping a head of long, white hair, fingers working to unravel the tangles there.
All Mairon can do is stare, at a loss for words. Is… is Melkor going to bathe this person–himself?
Who–
“Leave us.” His master commands abruptly. All Mairon can do is bow as he retreats, shutting the door behind him, his eyes drift to the large window at the end of the hallway, and sees the first light barely cresting the mountains behind the thick burgundy curtains. Water still sloshes behind the door.
Mairon stands outside until the door swings open and Melkor steps out, the person in his arms cocooned in soft towels, hidden away from Mairon’s wondering eyes. His master doesn’t acknowledge him as he walks past, treading through the hallway to his bedchamber.
Who?
Why?
Mairon cleans what little mess had been left behind, wipes the wooden floor dry and picks up the clothes piled together for washing, later. He’s ready to turn in by then, and he seeks out his own room.
Yet how he ends up at his lord’s door is a mystery to even himself.
It’s open, and Mairon observes his master placing a young man, already clad in a lovely shade of blue, into his own bed, moving him with care, his touch attentive as he sits by his side and smoothes an ivory comb through his snowy hair.
It’s either Melkor does not notice Mairon, or he simply does not care, he would have dismissed him already if he didn’t want him there and so, emboldened by the lack of admonishment, Mairon takes a few steps inside and lays eyes upon the stranger.
He doesn’t think he has ever perceived something so captivating.
Mairon’s gaze rakes over a shapely face, coral, plump lips and sharp cheekbones, long lashes fanning his cheeks. He watches his master pull the man’s hair to one side once he is done combing through it before he proceeds to braid it, deft fingers weaving through the tresses, threading the long, blue ribbon between the strands.
He lays the long plait down one shoulder once he is done, thumb running over seemingly soft ridges, his other hand tucking a stray lock behind the man’s ear and that’s when Mairon detects the puncture wounds on the man’s pale jugular. He’s unable to keep the shock off his face, this time, his wide eyes taking in the shape of his master’s teeth in this stranger’s neck. A turning bite.
He has converted this person.
Mairon struggles his way out of this particular bout of disbelief, and he’s had one too many in the past two hours.
“My lord, wh-”
“Bewitching, isn’t he?” Melkor says, his clawed finger tracing the man’s pale cheek, gaze intense, the embers in his eyes burning tender and Mairon can’t think of a time when his master ever wore such an expression. Not even for Mairon himself, who had served and loved him unfailingly. What a riveting, hurtful thing to bear witness to. “I have so longed for a worthy companion.”
A companion.
It’s happened.
The haze of confusion disperses and everything makes so much sense, suddenly, that Mairon wonders how he had not picked up on it sooner.
Melkor has found himself a bride.
Of course.
Of course.
“I have so longed for a worthy companion.”
Did he? Was I not enough?
Mairon stares at him, this cold, lovely thing that is to be everything Mairon wishes he could have been. Immortal as he is, still he never thought he’d live to see this night, because theirs might be a long, lonely existence but Melkor never really cared, never voiced his need for someone special and as much as Mairon strived to be that someone, he never seemed to amount.
The tightness in his chest prevents him from erupting into joyless laughter.
You’ve no right to feel betrayed, he never promised you anything. Wasn’t it you who clung to him? Weren’t you the one that begged?
Mairon fights the bitter feeling down, insides warring between wanting to tear that beautiful man to shreds and stealing him away to have him all to himself.
He can’t do either.
“What pleases my master pleases me.” He declares instead, inclining his head to hide away the hurt, the jealousy.
Melkor hums. “Yes, I am very pleased.” His lips stretch into a gratified, serpentine smile, his gleaming fangs poking from under the curve of his mouth. “I see great potential in him.”
He must have, Marion thinks, to have gone to such lengths. His master doesn't do things by halves, not a matter as critical as this, at least. Turning someone, altering their entire being and putting such power at their disposal is as pivotal a subject as one could possibly be. His eyes do a final sweep over the sleeping form.
“He is most comely.” He offers, because he should say something, aiming to please as he’d always done, but gets a cautionary glare for his efforts, Melkor’s eyes gleaming a mean red that Mairon doesn’t usually find himself on the receiving end of. He takes a step back and dips his head in atonement for whatever wrong he’d committed, but by then the flicker of hostility had long since passed and his master’s attentions turn back to the figure laid in his bed.
“Indeed.” He concurs, his voice gone breathless, eyes hazy, enamored with the gem he caught. Melkor does fancy the finer things in life. But this is no passing fancy, and this new addition to their lives has to be strong enough to endure the change. Not everyone makes it through, at the end, he needs to be looked after.
So it’s no surprise that, after getting up to change out of his wet garment, and sending Mairon away in the process, Melkor stays by his bride’s side. He doesn’t leave his bedroom for a thing, keeps watch over the young man as he goes through his corpse stage, his body going cold and ashen, his mortality creeping out of him in increments as the human in him dies. Then the fever came, making the man’s body softer and more pliable, warmth returning to him, slowly at first, then faster and faster, a sickness that he would never overcome– that holds all of them hostage.
Mairon brings his master bowel after bowel of ice cold water and clean washcloths, watches as the man sweats and heaves and trembles in his unconsciousness. It looks as unpleasant as it must have felt, and he’s glad he doesn’t remember when he’d gone through these phases.
Worryingly, the fever persists, and this never bodes well.
Mairon stands in the shadows and watches his master pace like a caged animal in front of his bed, fists tight at his sides and eyes gone frenzied because this isn’t supposed to happen, his master had been so painstakingly mindful and now his chosen’s body is too still, too weak, too hot to the touch.
“Stop,” Melkor takes the motionless body in his arms and holds it close, holds it tightly, his hands shaking, the first time Mairon’s ever seen him so desperately frightened. “Stop fighting it, Manwë.”
… Manwë.
By that time the fever finally breaks, his master had been confining himself in his chamber for a fortnight, keeping vigil at Manwë’s bedside. Mairon pretends not to hear his master’s sigh of relief, the tension trickling out of him in red, seismic waves. The worst of it has passed.
Melkor dips Manwë in another bath of cool water to chase away fever residue, then adorns him in new, soft fabrics, lowers him unto crisp clean sheets and lays himself beside him, keen eyes wide open.
It’s almost over.
Manwë should be waking up any day now.
It’s two nights later, and Mairon is in the process of adjusting a tilted portrait when a long, cracked shriek swells throughout the manor, the frame shivering underneath his frozen hands.
At last, Manwë is awake.
Newborns tend to be violent when they first come to, hysterical with hunger and oblivious to their own strength, so more often than not, they would be restrained, for their own safety and that of those around them. But Melkor is one of the strongest out there, he could handle this just fine, he certainly doesn’t need Mairon sprinting his way up staircases and through corridors with Manwë’s howls still in his ears, but Mairon can’t help it, he needs to see this.
The screaming stops just before he reaches the threshold. He expects utter chaos when he walks into the room, and instead finds his master reclined against the headboard, Manwë’s slighter form pulled across his front, his slit wrist offered up for Manwë to sink into, latching on like it's all he knows to do, like his life depends on it. Because it does, Melkor had to be the one to do it, he is his maker, after all.
Melkor’s other hand smoothes down, coming to a rest at the small of Manwë’s back, his temple pressed to the top of Manwë’s head. “Drink, sweetheart,” he says, watching with indulgent, golden eyes as Manwë feeds off him, “‘Til you’ve had your fill.”
Mairon has to turn his head from the sight, backing away, much as he wants to be a part of it, he's trespassing on something intimate. Vampire couples feeding from each other is cherished, private, personal. And that’s what Melkor and Manwë are to be. This is not something for him, or anyone, to see.
Despite everything, it feels like a labor of love, in the end.

I'll post the Hotarubi ghouls booty call texts tomorrow (they aren't as overly Comical as like. obscuary and Sinostra sorry those houses are just full of clowns, Hotarubi has Charmers) and then I'm at a loss for what next to write.... Rambling under the cut!
I have some Basic concepts for potential fics:
More Bath Time related ones, specifically one with Romeo (But I Have No Clue how to write for this guy and his abbreviations. + The idea veers smutty and I am not Experienced in smut writing) and a very basic concept for a Taiga one (blood related. Of course). Some basic thoughts for Jin and Leo as well but none of these are very detailed in my brain rn.
? Not a smut writer but I have some ideas. One for Ren and one for Rui (yes even with the curse) but. The idea of posting a full smut fic....my god how nerve-wracking. I want to do more Jiro 🥴 but we have to consider his health or rather lack of health. How are we supposed to bounce on it if you risk pulling his stitches and disemboweling him? much to consider.
The skin picking reader request I need to set some time aside to research....but will probably do HCS more than a fic for this? I have some thoughts but I don't want to do anything so derivative or insensitive.
I want to do some Haunted House visits for Halloween 🥰 but I will save those since I think the next game chapter might give us some information on this canonically. I know Jiro is a very clear option for this and it would be funny.
That's all I have rn 😭 and nothing is very developed. It was easier to write these kinds of things before I was employed....

hi marimoon ^^ saw your post from four days ago, and i hooe i'm not too late for this? ateez req incoming.
in honor of october (based off smth that happened this friday for me), teacher/employee reader and the guys preparing for kindergartners up til third graders going trick or treating tomorrow!! they probably planned matching outfits, some of them. hwa as toothless and somebody as light fury, for example. surprisingly i cant think of a specific member to pair this with? i just think its cute,,
just imagine these guys playing bits of the characters they're dressed up as,, aughh
pls take care of yourself!! missing u lots, marimoon
; 🌂
HELLOOOO you are absolutely not too late, though i am late to the whole october and halloween thing here lmao. was struggling with this request and i thought maybe my thoughts would flow better if i wasn't thinking of it as a formal request and just blabbed about it right here. but i adore this concept so i still wanted to write something about it and get something to you even if it's messy and possibly ends up incoherent :))
nonetheless, i hope you enjoy my word vomit because i truly do love this idea and you for planting it in my head <3 (only cw is alcohol mention, which has nothing to do with the children i promise lmao)
first of all i love this idea of this au where they're all teachers. given the kindergarten through third graders it's kinda perfect because each grade can have two teachers and they're like teacher pairs and it's cute and fun. and to add reader into this i thought it would be super cute if reader was like the school librarian and gets to interact with all the teachers and their classes. i was thinking about san and woo as the kindergarten teachers just because of how well they played with little arin and ayun. and then yeosang and jjong with the first graders just cuz i think they'd be so cute with younger kids but first graders are slightly less insane than kindergartners maybe ?? plus i think they'd be the funniest pair of teachers like i just adore they're dynamic and i'm just thinking about jongho turning all the children against yeosang and they just relentlessly tease him forever <3333 next up in second grade i put yunho and mingi and idk this is such a horrible idea like they would never get anywhere that classroom is just screaming and more screaming and the quiet kids are just like save us please :D and last but not least, we have seongjoong as the third grade teachers because i think they'd be the only one's who can discipline older kids and that hongjoong might die if the kids were even less mature that the third graders already are.
and then yeah, you are the school librarian (or some other staff member that frequently works with the classes but i'm just saying librarian bc i work at my school's library and what's fanfic without it being a self insert <3). and yeah you get to be besties with all of them because they're a whole big squad that kinda scares the other teachers but they kidnapped you into their group because you're just so cool and awesome and they love you and the things you do for their students <3
what they also love about you is that you love halloween and always help them prepare for taking the students trick or treating. i like the idea that all the pairs of teachers have a tradition of matching their costumes. and this year, it goes (mostly) great for (almost) all of them. the night before the event, the nine of you have a halloween party amongst yourselves, a tradition that started a few years ago. obviously, you all show up to seonghwa's apartment in costume.
this year, san and wooyoung have defaulted on onesie costumes, explaining that before, they had attempted to diy complicated anime character costumes. it was going well (or so they say) until yesterday when they realized they had neither the skills or time to finish the costumes. they are very pleased when you tell them you're a big fan of their matching kuromi and my melody onesies, and that you think the kids will also enjoy these far more than whatever elaborate plan they had before. jongho, on the other hand, is having a blast making fun of them.
and while woosan are stunning in their hello kitty costumes, yeosang and jongho are really vying for your favorite pair this year. though, it looks like yeosang’s thick biceps are struggling against the sleeves of his snow white dress despite his lovely features being complimented by the femininity of the outfit. jongho looks as charming (completely unfunny pun intended) as always in his prince charming outfit, ready to unknowingly continue stealing the hearts of all of his student’s parents.
yet, these costumes, along with yunho and mingi's, are causing a lot of noise because the tall pair of best friends showed up as a princess and his knight in shining armor. jongho is indignant, convinced that he and yeosang's costumes are far better. yeosang is drowning a bit in the shouting, but doing his best to defend himself when he gets the chance. wooyoung has told yeosang that he's a costume repeater because he played snow white in a play in middle school, but san thinks it looks cooler this time because of yeo's far bigger muscles. mingi says he looks prettier because his dress his pink and yunho won't really defend him on it, but insists that the costumes are different enough because he's a knight, not a prince (and that he's cooler for that same reason).
this time, seonghwa has chosen neither to be a part of the chaos nor to attempt to stop it, and is instead happily perched on the couch with a glass of wine because he is finally satisfied with his costume this year.
time and time again, seonghwa insists on dressing as toothless, convinced that it's the perfect costume for him. and time and time again, he begs hongjoong to be a matching light fury with him. and, you know it... time and time again, hongjoong has refused. he's offered to dress as hiccup, and maybe a different dragon, but he refuses to complete seonghwa's request. secretly, you think it's just hongjoong's way of getting back at seonghwa for the printer incident. but finally, seonghwa found a solution to make his dreams come true and just completely ditched hongjoong as his costume partner.
that is where you come in, sitting next to seonghwa in a matching light fury costume. hongjoong is actually still a part of this costume, dressed as hiccup so that the kids don't question him, but his part in this plan a bit irrelevant to seonghwa. he's just so happy to finally have completed this costume, and will not stop bragging about it to everyone in the room. he's told you that he won't allow you to be anywhere but at his side tomorrow so that he can show off your costumes, and you just nod along despite knowing that your job and large groups of children will certainly take you else where.
but aside from the fighting regarding jongsang and yungi's costumes, the night was lots of fun in which you all exercising your very special crafty skills that come with being elementary school workers. so there are so very adorable decorations that you'll set up in the morning tomorrow and another lovely set of halloween memories with your favorite people <33

Just a friendly reminder that my icons and background images will return to normal halfway through November... But RPs that are still ongoing during the Spiritober Event can still continue until both parties are satisfied and bring it to a conclusion.
A lot of people started Role plays but for some reason or another had stopped halfway through the event... No need for alarms everyone stops role playing for some reason whether it be personal or just a mental block... This is the reason I'm leaving the role plays still going, as for the starters for the role plays their links will be taken down on @orchid-151 tomorrow ( Nov. 7th) so if you want to do a starter for the spirit tober event before I remove the links your best bet is to go on ahead and save a copy of the link down or go on ahead and save the starter in your drafts. The starters will stay up and be left open for anybody who wants to search for them but straight direct links to them will be deleted soon.
As for any upcoming events, there will be no personal events for the foreseeable future until sometime next year as I'm sure somebody has a Christmas event coming up for all the blogs...
I'm not upset about Thanksgiving being pushed to the side now as it took me this long to figure out that Thanksgiving is an American holiday where Halloween and Christmas are celebrated almost around the globe (in different ways but still celebrated). I might do a post about Thanksgiving so all of those who are not originally from America can understand that it's more than just a holiday about lots of food (it's a plus but there is more to it than just food)... Not going to lie, if you wish to look it up yourself you know that there is a lot more to it than just everyone sitting down to give thanks... America and its early stages were not... how would we say, the easiest thing to swallow. But much like other history it is something that should be taught...
Anyway if you have read this far, then leave the comment "Spiritober" so I know you read the whole thing~

HEY THERE PEOPLE OF TODAY AND ROBOTS OF TOMORROW! IT'S ME, CLARK! There is a madness deep in the dark catacombs of Castle Clarkenstein. For years these claustrophobic corridors have been the home of the ghoulish giraffe himself, watching as the world passes by. He prefers it this way. It gives him more time alone with the voices. The voices tell him many strange things. Yet they always come back to one: make more monsters! Everyday they tell him this. Everyday he is unable to comply. Hey, being a mad scientist on a budget means he can’t afford the fancy scientific equipment needed to breathe life into newborn abominations. Guy’s gotta afford pizza somehow. Luckily, he has discovered a way of sorts to please the voices. During all those years of watching, Dr. Clarkenstein noticed a particular pattern. Every night during October saw artists posting new pictures based on peculiar prompts. Many of them based on children of the night. While the spotted specter might not be able to craft new zombies, he can sure as heck sketch’m! As such, I provide this friendly warning to you all now: Be afraid. Few people can survive the horrors that are DUDELZ of the Damned!
By that I mean I decided to do my own take on Sketchtober this year just minus the prompts. Anybody gotta problem with that? Tough, cuz I already drew this crap so you might as well check it out.
Deep in the forests of France is the home of the fae folk or fairies. Many travelers have wandered through the woods to find them, few have ever found it. Save for a visiting Italian pizza maker searching the forest for fresh ingredients. He knew for sure that Escargot Pizza was gonna drive folks wild! What he didn’t know was that he was being watched. After days of being stalked he finally met his follower, Villa, the Queen of the Faes. In no time at all the two had built up a rapport, enough for the pink fairy to show this yellow stranger the hidden gateway to her world. Sadly, it was this show of affection that led both lovers to their doom. Discovering that the pizza maker discovered the secret to finding the Faes, they kidnapped him and used him as leverage against the Queen. Either he forfeit her friend’s life or show them where her kingdom lied. In the end it was for not. Once the hidden world was revealed, the Italian was butchered along with all the fairies, their magic siphoned off for various elixirs and tonics. Now the Queen was truly alone. And angry. She set out to find the poachers in order to give them a taste of their own medicine. To this day it’s said you can hear their screams echoing throughout the forest, their killer still mourning the loss of her beloved.
My, what a dark story. Especially since Fairy Villa originated in a humorous little follow up to 10 Minutes on Halloween. Not wanting Pizza Monster’s girlfriend to be left out of the fun, my friend Fantasynarium quickly made a comic where the ice cream monster had a surprise for her boyfriend waiting at her creamery. Said surprise being this awesome costume that nearly gave PM an aneurysm. Despite the awesome design developed by my friend, I only drew Villa in the ensemble once afterwards. As such I knew I had to bring the Ice Cream Fairy back for this year’s DUDEL event. My goal was to tweak as little as possible given how lovely the original outfit was. In the end it turned out great, especially with the choice in colors. Like the other DUDELZ the rule is only one color allowed, meaning everything else had to be grayscale. Doing so here gave the character a kind of goth look that I oddly dig. I may have to draw more goth Villa in the future. For now though, I hope you all enjoy this long awaited return of Villa!
MAY THE GLASSES BE WITH YOU!

Happy Halloween!!! I love you and your dog's costumes! They're so cute..lol I can't remember the last time I dressed up for Halloween, but I might carve a pumpkin later tonight and watch more movies. Are you doing anything fun? I watched a few movies but they were more like campy and from the 80s. I don't really do scary besides some Stephen King movies, but I might watch the Haunting of Venice which I think is on Hulu now. I was saving movies as it got closer to Halloween but I usually let it last the whole week anyway. I have seen both Happy Death Day movies and enjoyed them. One of the movies on my list is called Totally Killer, and it actually seems sort of similar to Happy Death Day actually. There's also a new Haunted Mansion movie and Hocus Pocus 2, which I haven't watched yet, so that's on my list.
The prove it part is so fun and iconic! Although at my show, I don't think she said that. Was that the version that was in the movie too? Yes for Speak Now, it was a lot more theatrical cuz it really had props and a set and it almost felt like a continued story..like she interrupted the wedding but then turned into a princess and got her happy ending. It also had some of the best costumes and really felt like she was telling you her story on stage just like a musical. I wish I could have gone to that tour..or any of her tours. I've only been to rep and eras even though I've loved her from the beginning. All of her tours seem to fit the era at the time and just get better and better!
I hope you have a good time seeing Hadestown this weekend and that your mom likes seeing it! I was honestly shocked by the new Sweeney Todd casting and your post about it was how I found out yesterday but then it was announced today I think..for Halloween! That's so exciting! I'm a little skeptical cuz Aaron always seems a little young to me for some reason but would be interested to see them in the roles. Someone on Twitter joked he was playing Antony lol. What do you think about it?
So how much of Tomorrow x3 did you read? I'm shocked it doesn't get that much better since it seems to have good reviews and has been recommended by people I follow but I honestly don't know that much about it. But even The Night Circus and Starless Sea have mixed reviews and I would rather trust your opinion so I'm sure it's good! So I started the Night Circus last night cuz that's the one I have on my shelf but hopefully I will read The Starless Sea at some point. I like it so far and think I will get used to the writing the more I read. It doesn't seem like it will be a quick read for me cuz it's pretty long so I apologize..but I'm really looking forward to it!
So I need a bit more time with the Maisie songs but they were so much better when I heard them again. Like Holy Revival..at first I was confused by the sound but the chorus and song is catchy and gets stuck in my head. Then Truth Is, I was a little bothered by the phrasing at first, and it felt unfinished to me but now I don't mind and that's definitely one of the best songs. I feel you can tell when some songs were written..like Yoko and the Last One sound so much like old Maisie to me, but Holy Revival and Guy on a Horse sound more like Rockstar and Blonde based on lyrics and sound. I can't really rank them yet but it would probably be Truth Is, The Last One, Yoko, Holy Revival, The Song and Guy on a Horse..maybe? I've mostly been playing 1989 and haven't had time to watch her lyrics videos yet though. I know Yoko was an old snippet though so I'm sure she does have more and maybe one day she will release those, but also most are just acoustic so idk.
Anyway I totally agree about not really having favorites for the 1989 vault. It's either that they're all so good or they're all the same in a way. But the one that immediately sticks out to me both sound and lyrics is Slut. That's the only one that I could remember and was stuck in my head the next day after hearing it the first time. I am so surprised more people don't love this song! I know it's not what we expected but I think it's so good..so this one is probably my one favorite from this vault. Listening to it is almost like being in a movie to me and I Can See You felt like that too. I do admit that the title doesn't really need to go with the song..it could've been called something else and I think that's why people aren't liking it as much. The others were harder to remember, but I think Now that we don't Talk is also pretty catchy. Say Don't Go is both catchy and probably has the best lyrics so that's my next favorite. Suburban Legends was actually the one I thought I liked the most on first listen and lyrically seemed the most interesting..it kinda reminded me of Cardigan or Dorothea. That's something I can personally sort of relate to so maybe that's why it stood out, and I just prefer some of the lyrics in the song...like screw me up forever lol. but it also feels pretty short and they all are. Is it Over Now has grown on me a lot, but the best part is the bridge for sure..and I love the way she sings it, and oh Lord, but I could also see myself just skipping to that part in the song in the future. I think that one is the single and one people love the most, and it could be cuz it's very 1989. But I just don't care about the lyrics that much, which might be why everyone else likes it more than me lol..and they're similar to Out of the Woods. 1989 was always one of my least favorite albums cuz she has a lot of songs about the same thing
I have never played Sudoku cuz I think it's hard! I'm pretty good at all the word games and crosswords though, and it's just become part of my routine. I count it as some learning for my day. Connections I am okay with and it does switch between easier and hard for me. I like that you play it too though, cuz I thought no one else really did. Now it's something else we can have in common! Have a good rest of your Halloween night!!!
happy happy halloween! happy november! it's funny because i didn't really do halloween as a kid (it's not a huge thing in hong kong, not the way it is here in the states) + am not super big on it as an adult as a result, but i love love love dressing up toto! any excuse i get i'll take it. he has some christmas outfits, lunar new years outfits, etc. it's very fun! i went to a halloween thing last night but also ended up hurting myself (a constant joke in my friend group is how i need to be wrapped up in bubble wrap), so i cut it short and now i'm just resting! did y'all get any trick or treaters? we didn't and i'm lowkey a bit sad about that :(
i'm not a huge horror movie fan (as i mentioned last time), but i do love my fair share of like bloody musicals (american psycho, we are the tigers, carrie, etc. — which ... a lot of are adaptations haha). i've been listening to american psycho the musical all day, actually and very much reminiscing like 2015/2016 broadway season. i think a lot about how much more commercialized broadway is now, and how a lot of the adaptations don't feel well fleshed out but rather a lot like cash grabs and sometimes things don't need to go on broadway but would be better suited off-broadway or elsewhere and i just think everything is very ... safe ... now! no one is taking risks! everything feels so ... money-oriented, which like, yes broadway/theatre is a business, but it feels so lifeless and sad sometimes to me. like so many shows are just adaptations or stunt casts and it's just ... so sad to me. ugh. ok soapbox over.
the prove it part is only in the movie! it's also on the cruel summer live single! it's very fun! i went to red tour and eras but i think if i could i would've gone to fearless or speak now out of all the tours. what about you?
i don't know how i feel about the new sweeney todd! but i also don't know how i feel about this production of sweeney in general? i'm not a huge sweeney girlie — i've never seen it live and have only seen the movie, but everyone i know has been continuously shocked by the castings in this production! i was just telling a friend how aaron is 40 now and we were both like "that can't be possible he was just playing a teenager in next to normal yesterday" 😭😭😭😭 i'm sure he'll be great, but it's just like how i felt with annaleigh when she was cast in sweeney — my brain thinks of aaron as bobby in that production of company he did years ago at barrington stage (?) in the same way that my brain still thinks of annaleigh as dot/marie in sitpwg, so i think it's just going to be hard for me to be like "new sondheim role!"
i think i got through like two chapters? and then stopped. a lot of people liked it, so maybe i'll give it another go some day! i don't even know why i couldn't get through it, just wasn't feeling it i suppose! i feel really bad because my friend sent it to me from the uk. oh well! i haven't really gotten back to reading the night circus yet either, but i'm hoping to spend more time reading it this week! i might try to read an arc tonight and then if i have time tomorrow night or friday i'll try to read more of the night circus! it is very long; please take your time! i'm double annotating it (i can explain this if you want!) so it's also going to take me a whileeee — and i'll be out of town next weekend (which i keep forgetting about) and have things i need to do before it so i probably won't be reading much this week!
and yes! i think what i really like about tgw deluxe — and 1989 vault — is that they properly feel like "Vault" tracks or "bonus tracks" or "songs that we could've put on the album but switched it out for something better/more fitting" instead, like it gives us this insight into the production of it all, the message/themes they wanted to send, etc. i've been listening to 1989 tv more since we talked, and it's definitely grown on me more but i still don't think i have a distinct opinion on favorites! i'll have to relisten suburban legends but i think i can see where you're going with cardigan/dorothea!
connections was very fun + easy for me today! i've been a sudoku girlie for many many years, so it's just been very fun! but i don't always have time to sit down and play it, which kind of sucks. connections is much less of a commitment, which works better for me! my friends and i send our results in into our group chat every day — usually i'm either the first or second, depending on if someone is up after midnight and does it before bed vs. i like doing it in the middle of the night when i wake up at like 3am haha! i feel like sometimes the more "easy" categories are harder for me than what they think are the hard ones? what about you? x

Round Three of Ibrance starts tonight. The first two cycles weren’t terrible. I started with some mucositis at the end of the last cycle. I’m hoping it doesn’t continue into cycle three.
My iPad is definitely broken, which is annoying because I usually type my posts via my iPad and external keyboard. I have a Genius Bar appointment tomorrow and I’m thanking the lord that I got AppleCare on this item. I usually forgo it because I treat my items well. That was no different with my iPad, but something clearly is up and I’m like right at the one year mark. Also not in a position to pay too much for repairs. So, thank you salesman who talked me into it when I bought my iPad initially.
Today wasn’t overly busy. I did go to HomeGoods though. I needed a bigger basket for my meds to reside in. I also purchased a waffle textured blanket (allows for stimming behaviors and easily falling asleep), a table runner to use for my dresser and a Halloween bunting. I’m early on Halloween, but that’s ok. I stopped at O+F farm stand to pick up corn for dinner. My final stop was Starbucks and then I went home and napped. I get tired after doing too much activity. Thankfully, Mom-Mom didn’t feel like working on our piece of the garden so I was able to take a significant nap (which I needed).
After napping, I woke up in a sort of stupor, but worked my way out of it in order to grill chicken for dinner. Dinner was relaxing which isn’t always the case. Afterward, I went to Danny and Betsy’s to help Danny print some pictures from his Ireland trip. It was nice to see them and we’ll be going to dinner tomorrow. We’re going to Founding Farmers which is a favorite of mine. Hopefully, they like it as well.
I also have to give the brackets and hardware to Dan to get the right hardware for hanging my mug racks as I have 6 racks and many mugs that need a home. I’m thankful that he’ll be helping me hang these and ensure they won’t fall off; which I am sure would happen if I did it on my own.
Another chore for tomorrow is to pick up some medication samples from my psychiatrist but I might save that adventure for Tuesday. I just am not anticipating all of the driving for tomorrow. Driving just isn’t something that I love doing that much anymore. I really used to love driving- windows down, music up, warm weather… it was great during my commute. Maybe that’s what the change is, I don’t have a commute anymore. I just have short moments to appointments and errands. Maybe it’s just a phase.
And it’ll leave it at that… Thanks for your support and your reading!!

Hi Hazel! Oh my, is your foot okay? What happened? I hope it's been healed by now, if not I'm wishing you a speedy recovery. Also, I hope August has been more sunny and less rainy for you. I'm personally not a huge fan of rainy season ;-;. Aside from that, how was your weekend getaway? I hope you had a chance to relax and do fun things!
Yay! Congratulations on all your pulls! May you continue to get all the cards you want ^-^. Which is the top card you want to pull for next?
Ooh would it be safe to assume Halloween is your favourite? Speaking of, I can't believe I missed Spooktober requests :( but I'm glad to see someone else requested Leona in my stead haha. And no holiday plans other than spending time with friends and family. Do you have anymore holiday plans for the last few weeks of summer?
I saw you posted about sharing your art :O. If you want to share your art, then I'd say go for it. Even if you don't think it's as good as the other artists on Tumblr, I bet your drawings still look amazing!
Hope you enjoy the rest of your break and remember to take care as always! -berry anon
Hiya Berry!
I sprained my ankle simply by walking. I fell two years ago and sprained my ankle really badly. When it was healed, I fell, and fell on the other ankle, spraining it badly again. Ever since, I've had super weak ankles, and even when wearing insoles, I still roll them by just walking around. Unfortunately, that's what happened on the city trip as well. It's been six weeks and I can move normally again, but certain movements do still hurt. It will probably be like that for the rest of my life.
I am not quite sure! The game surprised me with my next top wish, Jamil's basketball card, a week before Leona's birthday, so I had to skip him, hoping he'll come back into rotation sometime soon. Assuming we will get masquerade for Halloween this year, I am trying to save up 200 Pulls to be guaranteed masquerade Idia, he's too beautiful. Next in line is probably the Sunset Savannah croptop Leona. I forgot the actual name of the card but it's Gorgeous. I should really diversify cards more, but I can't help but have a little army of my favorites. I hope that dorm Riddle, dorm Trey and dorm Idia still kinda appear randomly as I pull. Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday, even though it's truly not celebrated where I live? We don't do trick or treat or anything, but the shops have been carrying some spooky stuffs the last few years, and the roommate and i just kind of use it as year-round decoration.
Not a lot of plans anymore. Catching up on some more anime, writing, and from tomorrow on, prepping for work. I have quite a lot to prepare for and do, so I really need to get to it. I have been procrastinating for more than long enough. And I volunteered to be the head of a council at school this year, besides my other teacher, workgroup and party-committee duties, because I am a chronic people pleaser that cannot say no and wants to be involved in every single thing apparently.
The drawings are really REALLY silly, but well, I might just do a dump of them sometime in the future, or when I feel a little more confident hahah.
I hope you get to enjoy lots and lots of time with your friends and family! The weather is getting hotter here again, so enjoying the last bits of summer before it's that wonderful sweater weather again. Take care, get loads of rest and drink loads of water!! sending you love!

ok. new chapter has been posted. That was the last interlude. I'm nearly done with the revisions on 11-break … I might finish the out-loud readthrough on that tonight, and… I might post again before I go to sleep? Maybe tomorrow morning. I'm too excited to be nearly done with all the wrap-up. OH I KNOW, I SHOULD BE EVIL AND HOLD MY WORK HOSTAGE JUST LIKE… nah jk. next chap tonight or tomorrow.
12-audacity comes right after. I've added a tiny section to its start that needs some additional work, but after that I'm done with it.
13-debrief is after that, and it's mostly done.
14/epilogue (home) is the last one I have planned to post under this title. I expect I will be able to mark The Blue Anshan COMPLETE before Halloween. o_o
The rest of the snips you may have seen in imgur from "arc 6 - Time" ? Those are for sure going to go under a new title, and it'll be a Kagome-centric fic that picks up on a bunch of threads I wove throughout book 2 and even a few from book 1. Tons of loose ends to wrap up. Some more badguys to stop. Lives to save. People to smooch. etc etc.

October Halloween Movie Fest Day 20:
I didn’t have a ton of time tonight, and I was gonna watch It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown since I watched the parody yesterday, only to discover that it’s only available streaming with apple’s dumb tv plus whatever service. I am not even allowed to rent it, which has been sustaining me throughout this multi-streaming service mess. So, fuck that, in a snap decision I switched to Young Frankenstein, which was fun! …and also significantly longer than I expected, so I didn’t have time for Simpsons. Whatever, I’ll watch two tomorrow and edit 20 into this post.
Young Frankenstein is fun, although it doesn’t quite click for me. It’s some distance down my list of favored “humorous Halloweeny movies”, but it’s still on it. I’m also pleased I have now watched another Classic Horror Monster movie—not the Classic Movie itself, of course, but the monster. I’ve had werewolves, vampires, and now Frankenstein's Monster. Should probably made a point of watching The Mummy to get another one in. I have also had a loooooot of ghosts and ghost-like entities, a few people who can see ghosts, some witches, a cult, an alien, and some serial killers. One of whom was also a ghost. Ghosts might be my favorite kind of Halloweeny Horror, you guys. I’ve been saving some of the most Halloweeny favorites for the last few days, mainly Hocus Pocus and I am betting Trick R Treat will be best saved, but I am debating how best to tackle the rest of my list. We’ll see how it goes, I might do a couple of Sleepy Hollows next.
ETA: Treehouse of Horror 20 (Dial M for Murder, or Push # to Return to the Main Menu/Don’t Have a Cow, Mankind/There’s No Business Like Moe Business):
I almost put this one above THOH 2 or 3, guys. It is very good. Each segment has a solid plot, all three are atmospheric in their own unique ways, the first and second are a teensy bit Actually Spooky. The segments have clear inspiration without being slavish parodies, staying just true enough to the characters to make their behavior unsettling (looking at you, murderous Bart). I adore the stage-musical presentation of the third segment, which I assume was inspired by Sweeney Todd but clearly developed on its own from there, and the stage setting let it be darker in a safe way, and also funnier. Excellent episode. Mid-series classic right there, the only weak point is maybe the intro, and that’s only because it goes on a little longer than I like. The list is now 1, 5, 4, 7, 6, 3, 2, 20, 9, 8, 17, 16, 15, 19, 13, 12, 14, 10, 18, 11.

Witch!Y/N and Morpheus
Another headcanon based on Bee and Puppycat Episode 12 “Two clown Noses” this time I see Bee and Crispin’s Relationship like Y/n and Morpheus.
https://at.tumblr.com/melancholypancakes/why-does-morpheus-make-nightmares/hvcqe1cv3tzd
I got the fact that Morpheus loves gothic and spooky stuff ( I think it’s true in the comics and TV show) from @thenightling post up above!
This headcanon is for Halloween btw :)
*Y/n hanging out with her friends at a haunted house*
*One of her friend’s sneezes*
Y/n: Are you alright?
F/N: Yeah, just allergies...
Y/n: hmm. Let’s do this tomorrow. You know, I know someone who would really like this place because of all the creepy and gothic stuff.
*Y/n smiles at the thought of Morpheus*
*In the Dreaming Realm*
Y/N: Dream!! *she yells with excitement running up to him*
Morpheus: Y/n...slow down *gets hugged by y/n*
*Morpheus blushes but hugs back slowly*
Y/n: Hey, I was just thinking about you!
Y/n: dream, I found this place. You gotta come with me!
*Morpheus sighs at Y/n’s bubbly personality*
Y/n: oh.
*Y/n smooshes icing on Dream cheek*
Y/n: you got something on your cheek. *Licks the icing on her finger* You got smashed birthday cake on your face.
Y/n: Whose birthday is it?
Morpheus:...This is just normal cake. Tuesday-at-1:00-a.m. cake.
*Y/n licks icing*
Y/n: No, this is birthday cake, I can tell.
*Morpheus smacks icing off Y/n’s hand*
Morpheus: So, where’s this place you’re blabbing on about?
Y/n: Oh! yeah, I can’t tell you too much because it’ll ruin too much of it. But I really want to take you there!
*Morpheus smiles*
Morpheus: That’s a date. If we go somewhere and you plan it out, that makes it a date.
*Y/n and Morpheus laugh awkwardly*
Morpheus: What’s funny? *Smug smirk*
Y/n: Oh. I don’t know. It’s just awkward
Y/n: Yeah! Let’s go on a Date. Whatever we’ve done it before, and it was fun.
Morpheus: Yeah. for you but this time I get to be the lady
Y/n: I don’t know what that means but meet me at my house in the waking realm.
*Later at Night time*
Y/N: Alright. Close your eyes!
Morpheus: Alright? *Closes his eyes as promised*
*Y/n waves her wand and teleports them to the haunted House*
Y/n: Okay! you can open your eyes now!
*Morpheus opens his eyes*
*Morpheus is shocked*
Morpheus: Where are we at right now? where are we? *Looking around*
Y/n: Come on! *Grabs his hand and enters the House*
*The Haunted house is like a maze*
Morpheus: Wait. Where did we come in? Are we lost?
Y/n: Hmm...which one * Decides to go through an open door*
*Y/n and Morpheus see gothic scenery, spooky and creepy decorations with fog on the floor*
Y/n: There might be some jump scares by the way.
Morpheus: Jump scares? what are-
*Actors groaning and acting like monsters or ghouls trying to scare them out of nowhere*
*Morpheus is unphased while Y/n got startled just a bit*
Morpheus: why are the mortals dressed up like that?
Y/N: it’s around Halloween so people have haunted houses for fun and sometimes there are actors to try and scare you, dressing up as a monster or ghost.
Morpheus: Ah. Amusement.
*Morpheus and Y/n keep walking around the creepy hallways*
*Morpheus smiles in amusement*
Morpheus: The texture is very nice...
*Y/n is glad Morpheus enjoys it*
Y/n: So, was this as fun as your surprise party was yesterday?
Morpheus: That wasn’t a party. That was an ambush.
Y/n: I had some of the cake and it was really good~
Morpheus: Well, I’m having fun now. I mean, I think this is a great time.
Morpheus: You Invited me here because you knew I’d like it. And I do. A Lot.
Morpheus: They did everything just because. Well, I don’t know it’s my birthday and it’s weird.
Y/n: Well, you can’t bake a cake every day, especially since Delirium’s gone.
Dream: Blech...Delirium’s cakes are terrible. She couldn’t bake a cake to save her life.
*Y/n and Morpheus shared a little laugh before leaving the Haunted house*
