(Sorry I took so long to answer this I wanted to finish a lil comic I’ve been working on that basically contains what would have been the first meeting of madara and gai in the fic but that is going to take a fair bit longer so I hope you don’t mind me just answering with some doodles)

first up the dynamic between the founders, gai and kakashi is as follows:

The black haired guy at the top middle is kakashi he actually is in disguise most of the story because he’s trying to be really careful and not alter the timeline too much.

This causes its own set of problems when gai after being told by kakashi to stay put and not interact with anyone (gai was not meant to join kakashi in the past and they weren’t meant to go back so far so kakashi is a bit disoriented) mistakes madara for his eternal rival and interferes with an ambush to help him escape unscathed. Madara witnesses here the 6th gate for the first time and decides to kidnap gai and keep him as a prisoner until he’s figured out what the heck gai did to spontaneously get stronger.

Gai tries to figure out the lest future changey way of escaping and finding the real kakashi while madara tries to figure out gais deal generally. Eventually gai agrees to spar with madara on the condition that madara sends people to search for his rival.

Their sparing matches are actually really interesting! Gai is exceptional at countering the sharingan but madara is a far more experienced fighter both of them are a fan of a good fight so they actually end up growing closer through these fights (this relationship development would actually have been a large part of the story)it doesn’t help that they both remind each other of their respective rivals, so they sort of fall into a closer relationship than they would naturally because they both miss them so much.

Their would likely be dashes of madagai in this story but ultimately they’re not each other’s endgame so it would only really manifest in like madaras musings about what a world where they got together might look like. As well as the occasional crisis of faith from gai where he weirdly feels like he’s cheating on kakashi despite them not actually being together till the end of the story.

So yeah hopefully that illuminates the dynamic a bit more :]

1. 'Fine' is up to interpretation, when i finally get there

2. Yes, Kaufmo and Jax were friends. Only friend that Jax had and will ever have. And yes he did mourn his loss, tucked away and rotted in his room for days. He hardly tries to associate with anyone after that

3. Abstraction is much more common in Wretched, and is overall the same as canon. You hit your limit and abstract, which is why bonds and coping mechanisms are so important. Abstractions are typically larger and more dangerous and rampant than in canon

4. Aaa i really need to expand on Zooble! As of right now Zooble's parts are displayed on a wall in their room. They can choose from these, but the process of removal and adding them to their body is painful as the parts are more organic (said parts connect via muscle tissues tying into their holes. Uncomfortable and usually painful)

Like, Chris doesn't even have to say it, Sebastian is just so attuned to Chris and his moods and his body language that the minute Chris starts to absentmindedly rub his hands across his thighs, or he starts bouncing his leg, or he keeps getting up to walk around and find things to help him get rid of that restless energy and keep his mind occupied (like water the plants, clean the counters, hit the gym again, rearrange their bookshelf, make them both some food which Chris himself then hardly even touches etc.), Sebastian instantly knows what's up, and fortunately, after all these years, he also knows exactly what to do.

Sebastian knows that Chris is an incredibly tactile, physical person, as well as someone who tends to get in his own head way too much at times, so Sebastian has found that the best way to help Chris when he's stressed or anxious is by simply touching him - just everyday, non-sexual touches to help ground him, like a hand on his knee or arm, like a soft, easy kiss, like a big bear hug that lasts for as long as Chris seems to need it, like Seb resting his head on Chris's shoulder until Chris tilts his head against Seb's and finally exhales, letting the tension bleed from his shoulders.

Sometimes Sebastian will just push Chris down on the couch and lie down on top of him - again, not to start anything, but just to let his weight anchor Chris. They'll just breathe together until Chris's too-fast breaths have slowed down to match Sebastian's, and Chris will start to run his fingers through Seb's hair, letting the softness of the strands and the repetitiveness of the motion soothe him.

If they're on a plane or in a dressing room or something like that, Sebastian will squeeze Chris's knee or just hold his hand, rubbing his thumb across the back of it in soothing circles, and pressing his arm up against Chris's, to let him know he's there, and he's got him. What you can expect of me:

I work in three 'phases'. First is the sketch- you'll be send some quick thumbnail sketches to establish the general pose and vibe you want to pick from. Once you have one you like, I'll send work on the full sketch! Sketching is the stage for any and all big changes, so please mention anything you want changed here.

Once the final sketch is approved, I'll move on to the second phase, lines. Not a very exciting stage, it's just the lines! Again, I'll run them by you for approval first, to make sure I didn't miss or mess up any details.

Finally is the third phase, colors! This is both flats and rendering. I don't mind tweaking colors at all, just let me know if you want any changes in them. After this phase is approved, that's the commission done! Each phase should take around a week at the maximum, assuming there's no breaks in communication. If for whatever reason I might take longer then that, I'll make sure to mention it as soon as possible.

I have a discord which communicates slightly easier then on Tumblr, so if you have one as well and you don't mind I'll make sure to reach out to you there! Otherwise, Tumblr does always still work too.

tysm for asking !! I just explained the basic premise here, but I realized I didn't really actually talk about the superlantern dynamic so this is going to be what this post is about!! :)

under the cut bc I'm a little embarrassed (TW for consent issues altho that's like, lowkey the whole point of an arranged marriage AU)

basically, it's all set up by the first night they spend together after just having been wed:

Due to some miscommunications in the Krypton-Corps treaty, Hal (who is a trans man here because if I don't write Hal as having some complicated gender feelings, it's my sign that I have been kidnapped) believes that he has to get pregnant to make the treaty-required child. So. On their wedding night, Hal puts the moves on Clark, and Clark almost believes that Hal also wants it (and Clark's not even opposed to having sex with him because even though he was forced into the arranged marriage, sex is fairly decoupled from ideas of marriage for this AU Krypton because of the birthing matrix situation + Clark's also a progressive by Kryptonian societal standards), until Clark realizes that there's been a fundamental misunderstanding of the treaty and is like, okay, so now I'm never trusting your yes again because I almost couldn't tell the difference.

So like. They both still have to work together because they both want the treaty to succeed, despite their saboteurs lurking in the background (oooh political intrigue). But Clark, despite being a normally kind and agreeable guy, is pretty icy towards Hal initially, because of this. Maybe not icy per se, but like, distantly polite? Like, Clark will act close and warm with Hal when they're in public, but as soon as it's just the two of them, it's bland smiles and nonethusiastic dismissiveness.

But then the progressive social movement that Clark is a part of is genuinely super mad that he got forced into marriage and partially take out some of their anger on Hal via violence, so now the two of them have an incentive to actually pretend to fall in actual love even though everyone knows theirs is a political marriage.

Their whole marriage is essentially them being coworkers in the extreme where there's a bunch of problems that they have to work together to mitigate, like attempted assassinations and stuff. yk. just a casual Tuesday with the bae <3

Then it goes from them being coworkers + forced proximity to them being lowkey kinda actual genuine friends to them each slowly getting actual romantic feelings towards the other, which they know is requited back because they've learned the other well enough to know when they're putting on a farce and when they're being genuine, but like, they can't actually be in a relationship yet (despite being married lmao) because they have too much shit to worry about at the moment. yk. that kind of dynamic

the progressive social movement eventually becomes, like, a straight-up people's revolution. Clark joins, and so does Hal, reluctantly, because he's super wary of becoming a Sinestro-like figure interfering with intraplanetary affairs (Sinestro haunts the narrative lowkey bc of the dictator thing). At this point, there's little incentive for them to continue to keep up the "act" of being in love, so they are...kinda actual boyfriends now! yay! but then when Hal tries to put the moves on Clark again, Clark just gently stops him and is like, I'd rather wait until we are completely free of any incentives, so that this is completely pure and genuine. So instead of waiting for marriage to have sex, they're waiting for divorce

When they eventually reform the government and make what will essentially be their Bill of Rights but with a special emphasis on negative rights (as in, the govt can't do this or that to you), the treaty gets overturned, and their new Supreme Court (or the equivalent thereof) will have their first case: the El v. Jordan divorce

(I have the entire ending climax and resolution in my head playing like a movie. But I would need to write all of the middle parts before that could happen sobs)
