I'm learning Clip Studio now because. Art programs. Uhh. Don't ask lol. But anyways. Quick little Impulse doodle because he's quite easy to draw so why not test out a new program on him. Therefore. Doodle.

Genuinely though Clip Studio is quite nice. I've been using a free trial version while I wait for the summer sale and it's very nice. Also. Adjusting my style just a bit. Gonna try and figure out a more detailed portrait-y style for illustrations and a simpler one for comics. Maybe. Idk I'm figuring it out :P

Gender and pronouns are very different. Example I myself am identify as nonbinary and use he/they, I do not identify as a demi-boy personally. It varies person to person :)

Well I understand not necessarily identifying as something but what’s the difference between wanting to be referred to a certain set of pronouns and putting a label on those pronouns?

in the event this is important to you, i just wanted to let you know that you reblogged some tony art from an account named anonoite, and most of their stuff (includinig that art) is tagged starker, and other pieces by them are very obviously starker ship content. i've had to block them because i keep getting bamboozled by their pretty tony art only to open their blog and see a lot of starker stuff alksdfjhg anyway i hope you have a good day sorry if this was out of place or unhelpful

if i’ve learned anything this year, it’s that the true weakness of super-passionate dead poets society type literature teachers are not the apathetic kids that don’t care about literature, but the kids that bastardize literature, because those kids ARE very passionate about literature, but for none of the right reasons (in terms of being constructive to the class’ understanding of the material). there is no impassioned rant of memorized poetry that can possibly combat the honest to god bitchslap that is “rodion raskolnikov is the bisexual 1800s russian au version of scott pilgrim” or “vladimir and estragon are gay married but perpetually on the brink of divorce”

A bonus of having a name that people commonly mispronounce* is that if I accidentally manage to pick up a spam call or some kind of promotional call, there's a 50% chance they'll say "hello, am I speaking with Wally?" to which I can respond "sorry, actually you're speaking to Woolly" which almost always triggers the "so sorry, we called the wrong number" response and I am released from any further conversation.

*I don't even actually want to say mispronounce because what actually happens is that they see my name and assume its a completely different word than what my name actually is. I sort of get it - the word that my name gets mistaken for is spelled similarly to my name (only one letter difference), but when you get the point where literal government agencies are making the mistake, it begins to feel like some of y'all just aren't reading.

Okay guys I'm calling it now! THE CORRECT pool scene end of next episode. I know we've all been trying to manifest it again and again each week and we keep receiving the incorrect pool scene but I'm feeling good about episode 13. Why you ask? Well, I had a dream yesterday of Mile and Apo running around naked in a bathroom with a giant tub that they then both lept into! So clearly it's predicting the pool scene and I'm definitely not delusional. 😌👌🏻

I was working on self-checkout today and like. our new machines suck in the sense that they are extremely unintuitive and whoever is the attendant spends their entire shift teaching customers how to use the damn things bc there are no on-screen instructions to speak of

and today I learned the real victim of this poor UI design, even more than us, the aforementioned attendants: the probably-sixteen-year-old boy just trying to buy some goddamn condoms in peace before rejoining the buddy he’s in the store with.

now. to his credit, he was extremely chill about it when I approached to give him a hand. he shrugged and looked at me and said, “I am bamboozled.” he thanked me without embarrassment for my assistance, and in fact even gave me a wave and called out his thanks a second time later when he and his friend walked past. absolute champ, imo.

but still. many guys in his shoes would have been understandably mortified. a high school boy should be allowed the dignity of purchasing his condoms with some privacy, and without needing an exhausted and harried-looking 28-year-old woman* to come over and dismiss the self-checkout’s mysterious and unknowable complaint messages for him. jfc.
