Hello! You ship Zephrit right?? I’m genuinely curious as to how this ship came to be, I’ve been digging around and seeing some great art (including yours omg I love your art) is there like concert footage of Ifrit and Zephyr? (Bc Terzomega there is lots of on stage footage and stuff) Anyways, I would love if you could tell me more about zephrit!!

EEE I would love to talk about it!! I'm not sure the exact origins of it so I'm definitely gonna ramble a little (a lot) - but they did have a lot of fun things on stage together!

I do think part of it is just the overall closeness of the Popestar lineup, at least in my opinion. It definitely feels like a lot of other ships along the lines of "these two interacted and have a good energy together and I think they should kiss about it" HAHAHA

But honestly, Ifrit played around so much with everyone and did NOT let Zephyr fade into the background and I really do love that, especially when it's so hard to find good clips of keyboardists.. and Zeph was so lively, it helped that Ifrit was Right There for them to goof around with

Another factor might be that Ifrit and Zephyr were the only two ghouls who didn't move on in the lineup (aside from Ivy, who of course is nor mentioned enough because of how briefly he was there). We got to see Aether, Dew, and Mountain's relationships all evolve together while Zephyr and Ifrit are a little seperate from that, only being there for the year.

My Thoughts on Vercury + Doodles

To be honest, my relationship with this pairing is literally a love-hate one.

When I first heard about it, I’m not going to lie, I was super turned off. This was during SolarBall’s early episodes, where Mercury was shown constantly being bullied by Venus and I could not imagine being paired with my bully if I was in a similar situation. There was no chemistry between them, and even if there was, it wouldn’t be healthy. Especially during the whole Venus’ name arc, where Mercury constantly mocked him and got an asteroid to the face. Personally, the ship made no sense to me and sounded downright toxic. But of course, the more recent episodes came out. The atmosphere (even though there’s no atmosphere in space lol) between Mercury and Venus seemed… more neutral than hostile or tense. This is mostly because Mercury started to stand up for himself. Two scenes of note is the moment where Mercury laughed at Venus’ comment during the Rocky Planets episode and when Mercury snapped at Venus during the ‘Solar System by Size’ arc. What’s interesting is that after Mercury yells at him, Venus looked regretful, which was definitely new. Mercury didn’t shout at him about the consequences of him siding with the Sun or anything like that either, he simply said that he was fine with Venus hating him ‘for the sake of everyone else’. After that, Venus didn’t immediately change his mind but did try to explain his side of things, which was also new. As of right now I still don’t see anything happening between them, but I definitely do see the appeal in the ship and the potential for it to eventually happen.

From a settings standpoint- the potential is obvious. We don’t know what happened to cause Venus to pick on Mercury so much, we don’t know what their past was like, and with the answers to those questions revealed, Mercury and Venus might reconcile. Venus clearly has a lot of problems with his conditions as being called ‘a literal hell’ by the Earthlings, and Mercury also has his own insecurities and issues with the Sun. Mercury is already learning how to deal with these things, but Venus hasn’t quite figured it out yet. I’m quite interested on how Venus will be developed and how Mercury will play a role in this. I don’t think Venus downright despises Mercury, and vice versa, but they do have a ton of shit to sort out which may lead to a hopefully happy ending. Now, from a character standpoint there’s also a ton of potential. Venus and Mercury are kind of opposites, and yknow the saying… opposites attract. It would be really sweet if Mercury could calm Venus down when he was getting too ticked off, and Venus could treat Mercury nicely in his own way. Their personalities contrast really well. I didn’t like Vercury before because I felt if it actually happened Mercury would just allow Venus to treat him like crap, but now I feel like Mercury would know how to set proper boundaries and they would be equals. In a healthy relationship, there shouldn’t be a power imbalance, so with Mercury’s character development and Venus’ potential to change and be kinder (though not necessarily gentler) power imbalance shouldn’t be a problem. Another aspect is the fact that Venus and Mercury are both quite lonely. Earth and Mars are extremely close friends (or more haha), and while Mercury does have the Sun, he’s kind of forced to walk on eggshells in that relationship. They’re also neighbor planets, so there’s that. In all, I definitely agree with the concept of Vercury, but if it should happen, it should be after Venus and Mercury at least began to try and sort everything out. Surprise! I am going to rant about my own redesign and art! I think this is me mentally preparing for the helluva boss episode next week and praying to god it’s actually good. I’ve also been nursing a bit of a hangover today so forgive me if my wording is a bit more jumbled than usual

Im a big fan of my Angel Dust redesign, but in the general aspect of my art, a lot of my poses are a bit flat. That can be from either posing issues on my end, trouble with facial features, or just some secret third thing, but I think so far Ive been enjoying drawing much more cartoonishly as of recent. That vox canon & headcanon drawing was super super fun to do even though it was supposed to be vivzies style, but I used to have a style with more sharp angles and pointy curves that I honestly kind of miss, I also miss playing with cartoonish proportions!!

My art style may end up changing eventually, but my main pieces will stay in my usual style and my more doodle-y ones will probably be in a more cartoony style like the ones above. While theyre definitely closer to canon and meant to be inspired as such, the difference is that I can draw diverse body types in said artstyle! I also cant lie, Angel’s chest fluff is one of my absolute favourite things to draw and it’s so easy in this style…

About my redesigns though! This is mostly about Angel, but I’m gonna slap this here from DMs with a friend: “Im so pleased with this genuinely im so happy he has his little pedipalps, theyre technically also still his fangs but now he can move them and stuff and :33 typically for male spiders the pedipalps are a reproductive organ but that isnt the case for angel or many other arachnid or insect sinners id say so I think personally most of them have developed pedipalps for primarily other reasons like fangs in Angels case or maybe something similar to cat whiskers for other people”

In my original angel dust redesigns I just couldn’t find a way to draw his fangs in a way that made me happy because I want to keeo the same energy in his face as the original. Big clunky fangs that stick out just didn’t work for him and while they made him look like a spider, he lost that sort of angel-ness that I need when drawing him so I instead looks to the pedipalp aspect of spiders to move them off of his mouth and more onto his cheeks. It’s a very small change but it improved the design in my eyes significantly and just really made me a lot happier. I wont be updating his redesign post as of right now and maybe never will, but if I do yknow why now!

I just really really like drawing this guy a bit rubbery, hes supposed to be fluffy so like he should move kinda soft in a way? I dunno how to explain it rn, its 2 AM at the time of writing this so im gonna lay the hell down now!

as many hank thoughts as i can muster before i get too tired to type on my phone lalala this wont be all of it because i need diagrams for the one im rolling in my head

• they are a thief of a myriad of things whether it matters to them or not. a thief of other people’s lives, a thief of mundane belongings or a thief of body, it can be many things.

• pertaining to the thief of body idea, i like to believe that a large portion of his body did not originally belong to it. having died so many times and likely dying more times than we have seen on screen, i think his body being made up of stolen parts adds to the grizzly idea of a killing machine. and frankly, i doubt in the grand scheme it does not really matter to it. based on behaviors observed ingame, in cartoon and some questions answered during krinkels streams, i feel that functionality will override sentimentality, if any. if it works it works, if it wasn’t mine then oh well. it is now.

• blood type could either be AB+ or AB-, i haven’t decided what is funnier. being AB+ is convenient but nothing can be perfect.

• speaking of the amalgamation of parts, a thief of body, i think being made of many insignificant parts from those long passed will inevitably result in failings functionality wise that need to be accommodated for. maybe the heart doesn’t beat as well as it should, the pacemaker jumbling about with damaged nerves that scream to heal together and do something properly. damaged vessels and tissue making it difficult to perform some functions without aid.

• one of these being compression garments that aid in his ability to enact venous return due to damaged vessels not being able to maintain high enough blood pressure. sure, he will indeed work hard enough to have the support of skeletal muscle and the respiratory pump but i think there is definitely a possible issue regarding the valves and their ability to close in order to prevent back flow.

• may or may not have an artificial, shoddy pacemaker to aid in a steady depolarization of the heart in order to beat properly.

• may suffer from more bouts of referred pain than normal that lead to it on occasion having to be checked on due to what it may imply. referred pain is a phenomenon where an injury may be at one part of the body but is felt in a different part. believed to be due to interconnecting nerves, i think hank dealing with referred pain more than normal could be something. it may pose a dangerous threat to him due to his pain tolerance being higher and that it could possibly dismiss the pain in its arm or what is left of its jaw as something not important. you can decide if hank ignores it and pushes through or could take the precaution and recognize it could cause more of an issue to ignore it.

• due to all these parts not fitting together in a pleasing manner, i like to reflect that slightly in my design when drawing it with its clothes on. if you saw that one small note i made on a doodle, you’d see that i made it important to say that asymmetry is important for when i draw them. while i’m not the best at anatomy i want to reflect the unevenness of his body somehow, in such a way you could pass it off as just an odd fashion choice.

• another choice when drawing is when drawing the hands atleast in grunt form, i try not to keep the tips of the fingers even. i feel that their nails come in a variety of bruised shades from fighting, some are chipped, some are blooming red and purple underneath and maybe one is just plain gone with tender skin beneath it doesn’t really matter to it fortunately. this is why in some doodles hank may have full set of claws, mixmatch or none.

First thing’s first: I’m sorry for leaving. I know I begged you to stay, and then turned around and left, and I really hope you understand - I didn’t leave because of you. I needed to find Leo, and leaving with Piper was the easiest way to do that. I had to try and get him back. 

I wanted you to come with, but you were still healing and things were going really well with you and Will. I hope things still are, in fact. Wherever I am, I’m so proud of you for how far you’ve come, and how much I’m sure you continued to grow even after I left.

he respects people that can use their imagination, like inventing new horrific ways to kill a corruption beast, or making someone’s day worse in a way that can’t be replicated

so naturally he gravitates to people who put their imagination to use through their own art medium. he has a type for creators

one of the best feelings ever is being able to watch an artist in their element, focused on their vision

there’s always so much to admire. their hands wrapped around the pencil, the way they squint and stare at the lines… he could go on

if he’s really lucky maybe the artist will move around while drawing a character, just so they can use their own body as reference. it’s so cute seeing them lift a hand and compare it to the one they were drawing, even the pout they do when they erase the last few strokes, all frustrated but ready to try again. especially the pout

he doesn’t do the whole “talking about your feelings” thing so when he sees a well-done drawing, well, that just makes admitting it all the more redundant. who needs words when a picture is worth a thousand of them?

ruze himself isn’t exactly an artist, but he’s tried before. it’s tough work. anyone that can control their pen that well deserves respect

if you’re an artist and your love language is quality time then dating ruze is a dream. he’ll do work in the same room as you while you’re preoccupied with your latest piece

it’s just the right amount of togetherness, but you’re able to do your own thing, and so is he. this feeling gets even better with banter, music, anything

he doesn’t mention it often but ruze also likes to work with his hands too. his favorite is papercrafting

you’re the only one in the world that knows he has a diy scrapbook full of photos and embellishments and, yes, some of your doodles and scrapped art you let him keep

always wants to display your art in some way. it’s personal and makes him feel like his house is a little livelier

if you need more space or expensive supplies for your art like a firing kiln, large canvases, pressure pots, or other equipment, then he’ll drop off the face of the earth for, like, a week, then come back with a bounty collected and a cut of it for your art fund

ruze likes the challenge of hunting down and fighting a fearsome monster, and how you brighten up as you plan a visit to a local craft store

he likes to ask questions about what you’re working on. this can be anything from art history to oc lore to symbolism to techniques

it makes especially good conversation at night when he’s about to go to bed with you

…there have definitely been times ruze was the first to sleep because you got hit with inspiration at 1 am though

it would be hypocritical if he were to make you rest, but just don’t overdo it and wake up cranky past your alarm, alright?

and do some stretches, including your hands, and your back. you’re literally dating someone who uses his muscle to make money. you better be treating your body nicely while you’re making art

you should be getting accidental paper cuts, not carpal tunnel because SOMEONE didn’t stick their arms straight out and bend their wrists back while keeping their fingers straight for 10 seconds, then bend their wrists down to the floor for another 10 seconds. not naming names

the type of mf that will sneak up and make some form of sudden physical contact (a kiss? bite? lick? annoying poke to your side?) so your back straightens and then tells you to keep it straight instead of giving you more affection

would NEVER respond to someone talking about their art with “can you draw me?”

Ok, I’m sick of seeing only Netflix posts lately so I’m ranting about Simon lol

Unfortunately I had some nice paragraphs written for this but tumblr crashed while I was writing so this is my second time making this post (TwT)

TL;DR with the rant under a cut for easy scrolling, I am deranged and have studied all of Simon’s outfits, here’s some fun tidbits and I guess kinda a guide about his fashion sense :3

Oh boy, where to start XD. Castlevania has a lot of intricately detailed usually gothic and/or visual kei inspired fashion designs, usually with some amount of historical accuracy, thanks to Ayami Kojima, that the series is known for. But before this, the character design style was very different. From the very 90s shonen anime inspired Richter, to Christopher being deadass shirtless in a skirt at one point, to John Morris being in basically casual clothes, there’s a lot of variety in it.

Well, being the silly Simon super fan I am, I’ve studied all his outfits a ton over the years I’ve been a fan of the series and oh boy they are INTERESTING :3. I’ve noticed a lot of elements are consistently reoccurring, specific to him, and some are very much not specific to him lol. Anyway, just trust me on this one, overanalyzing the closet of an NES barbarian to be able to make new outfits for him is FUN >:3c.

So, I’ve seen him not wearing pants thrown around as a joke before, but it’s actually the truth! Besides the Haunted Castle wedding suit (an outlier that should not be counted lol), I actually have never run into a design where Simon is wearing full length, proper pants. The closest he ever gets is black tights in Simon’s Quest and occasionally shorts, but on that topic, shorts aren’t even his most common choice! Let’s look at some of his oldest designs:

This one is really hard to tell, but based on the angle of the lines, the shadows, and context clues from other art for CV1, I don’t know if that’s actually supposed to be shorts 💀💀💀!

In both his cute little manual doodles and his almost more adorable teeny 8-bit sprite, his outfit is a belted tunic of some sort! So like, the equivalent of a really tiny dress or a long shirt XD. And really, his cover art design is kinda just a more detailed version of these. They both have a distinction between a top and bottom part of the upper half, they both have big belts, they both have the tall boots and arm guards, they both have teeny skirt part, and Fun Fact! They both have red in the hair! I color picked a nice high res scan of the CV1 cover art, and yes, there’s red in his hair!!! It’s like a nice mix of dark reddish blond, it’s a very fun hair color :3.

However, that’s not where CV1 ends in tunic vs shorts debate:

THAT’S A SKORT— DO YOU SEE THAT DISTINCTION BETWEEN THE HALVES, ONE IS DEFINITELY A PANTLEG LMAO. So yeah, skort Simon is also a thing thanks to this particular magazine scan lol, thus leaving us with the possibility that it is both a skirt and shorts on the CV1 cover that he’s wearing X,,,,D. Never change, Simon, never change.

Besides the tunic, there’s some other interesting details to his CV1 era designs! :D In a lot of depictions he has this neat cape, something that returns in some Simon’s Quest art and Smash Bros lol, but he’s never shown wearing it in game. What’s interesting is that Trevor actually gets a cape in his game’s opening as well as Christopher in Belmont’s Revenge if I’m remembering correctly. It’s very neat seeing Simon character design details rubbing off into other characters :3. I like to think lore wise that it’s the same cape that’s been passed down to Simon from those two.

He also has the headband! Iconic! But have you noticed the little ball shapes at the ends of the tails? They’re either knots or, infinitely cooler option, beads :D!!!!!!! And I wouldn’t be surprised if they were because that leads me to another design: X68000–

Now this one is one of my favorites :3. It’s kinda like a forward facing version of his original design but with some new details! And his headband gets this cool lookin, intricate distinctly metallic design on it, something I’ve seen a lot of artists simplify to a general crescent moon shape. But it is kinda similar to the shape on his belt buckle, something that I still have no idea what it’s even supposed to be. Also, his arm guards and the thing at the end of his necklace (which may or may not have vampire teeth on it, they could just be metal spikes though) are similar; it makes me wonder if it was an attempt at a tortoiseshell pattern? Filigree? Whatever it is, they’re all matchy matchy about it.

This design also gives him the staple left shoulder pauldron, of which has these huge stitches holding it on and an added belt that connects to his other belt armor. Get used to belts, he has a lot of those X,,,D. What’s really neat about this one’s belt is that he has both a hilt for the family sword but also one for the whip on the other side, and they’re on the wrong sides for drawing the weapon properly 💀💀💀💀. Which is also funny considering his CV1 cover art has the sword on the other side, which is kinda wrong too? Who knows, maybe he’s ambidextrous and just doesn’t care what sides they’re on lol.

The biggest thing I can say about this design though is that a lot of these accessories and armor pieces look homemade, like as if he just took teeth as a trophy himself and strung them on a cord or made a shoulder piece and put it on an already existing belt he had. Adding onto this, there’s also the possible beads on his headband and the cords around his boots (which could be an attempt at a certain actual historical type of shoe that I cannot remember the name of for the life of me rn, in which case would make these not boots and actually corded shoes with very nice big fluffy socks hehe, I am forcing you to imagine him with big fluffy socks—) and yeah! I can see him making his stuff on his own :3. Which is so cool! I love this idea so much, it makes for a lot of things to imagine him doing hehe. Also gives him a hobby??? Yeah :)

No indication of if he’s got shorts or not in this one, maybe I’ll count how many have skirts or shorts and put that at the end of this lol.

But shorts get another point again cause we’re looking at Chronicles:

Oh Chronicles. Well, the first thing I wanna mention is that, this is Ayami Kojima’s design for him, so here we are seeing a very interesting mix of the visual kei style and 80s barbariancore in a way that honestly slays (figuratively and literally). And, surprisingly, there is something historically accurate about this design, and it’s not what you’d probably expect. Based on the width, material, cross rivets, and the buckle on the front, Simon is wearing an actual dog collar. Like, for dogs. Like it’s dog armor used primarily for hunting dogs I just— Again, never change Simon, never change 💀💀💀.

We also see Simon preferring to put his armor on his left side again with the torn in half coat. It’s also somewhat similar to 1600s coats, not really of any specific country in fashion that I can tell, however the sleeve being that short is not accurate, leading me to believe that he probably tore that off too lol. Very Chrom Fire Emblem of you, Simon, and another example of him D.I.Y.—ing things. The basic elements still stay similar to past designs. Shorts, distinct upper and lower half of shirt, belts, armor on said belt, sword and whip hilts, arm armor and tall boots (shout out to the heels on this one), and armor on the left, unfortunately no headband though. But that distinct bottom half to the shirt part of his outfit in this one is defined with… a corset? Yeah!!! That’s a corset!!! Though the proper name for the time period might be a stay or a girdle, but Simon is straight up wearing a belt over a corset. And said corset over a coat. Half of one. Don’t question him—

But the main entries to his 80s bara-barian half of the wardrobe, let’s get to some knightly aesthetic outfits, of which he does have a good amount, starting with SCV4:

Simon’s knightly outfits are usually a similar silhouette as his original tunic look, just in metal this time and in various colors. SCV4 has his armor as gold on the cover, blue on the Japanese cover and manual art, and green in game! And they’re all pretty much the same with mild variations. On the cover art, his shoes are corded sandals with nothing under them, but in game and in most other artwork they are these metallic boots with the classic X shape of the cords baked into them. Some art gives his middle belt armor section this cross with snakes on it, which is an odd thing to be referencing here. It’s either a staff of Mercury, usually associated now with medicine but was an alchemical symbol before that, or something else I can’t find any info on. There’s also a big ab window because these are all proper half shirts lol. Straight up a metal breastplate with nothing under it, a pretty bad idea tbh 💀.

All in all, these are generally really simple, but there’s one more thing before I stop talking about SCV4:

I LOVE this design. It’s this really nice blend of the older CV1 era style and the metal armor of the later ones, very cool. Shout out to the eye creases and the dead stare shadow over his eyes too, they really conveyed the effects of witnessing the horrors well lmaoooo.

Again, tunic, belt, arm guards, headband, the usual, but, speaking of symbols, there’s something about this one that’s been driving me nuts forever: I cannot find out what that symbol on his paldrons and belt buckle is!!! It’s this upside down triangle with a bent rectangle missing the bottom line over it and it LOOKS distinctly intentional, but I can’t find it or what it means anywhere!!! I tried searching through lists of alchemical symbols, religious symbols, nothing so far has been close (TwT ). Regardless, great design, definitely in my top 5.

And what else is in my top five? Oh yeah babey, it’s Simon’s Quest time:

Ah, Simon’s Quest with his fuck ass bob and the stolen Ravenloft image— but unironically, that armor fucks fr. Again, similar silhouette! If there’s any take aways from this post, it’s definitely that Simon is a little shirt, little pants kind of guy. A severe lack of long sleeves and long pants legs until now, and even then, these are skin tight. Heck even his boots(????) are vacuum sealed, just look at those fabric creases by his ankle!

Now, it’s honestly really hard to tell if his “gloves” and “boots” are supposed to be in some parts metal due to the shading on them and the base armor being very similar. I personally like to depict the forearm and calf parts as metal and the hand and ankle parts as not, but eh. Like most things regarding Simon, I suppose this too is up to interpretation XD. There’s some variation in color in some scans having the underclothes be white, dark blue, or black, and the armor be any range of red to purple to brown too. But towards red and black is probably the most accurate due to his sprite being those colors.

But this is a shockingly rare case of Simon being fully covered in one of his outfits, and I’m inclined to think that there’s probably a reason for that. Not only does he have a rotting curse right now and drawing straight up gore on the cover of an NES game was just not an option lol, but he’s not letting his guard down anymore after being hit. Which would also explain the sudden change to all metal armor as that can’t be cut through as easily as leather.

Speaking of all metal armor, oh I looooove the detailing on his. The gold accents to his byzantine (a nice in between color of red and purple, a color that is also reused in Smash Bros again in the middle corset section of his outfit) are what I would call stylized floral patterns, kinda in the way that fleur de les don’t really look exactly like flowers but still are supposed to represent one. Not sure what kind exactly, but possibly some sort type of angel’s trumpet? Very neat regardless. The gems inlaid in it are all green on top and around the belt, but the center belt buckle is bright red. It’s a very jewel tones color scheme!!!

Well anyway, if tumblr will let me have more images, I’d like to show off a few other random examples of outfit elements he’s had before I close this off with something :3

This was a pretty recently found scan of Simon wearing get this: a pleated miniskirt. Probably Roman armor inspired, as some of his other magazine scans have depicted him as such. One ad for SCV4 and another (live action even) for Simon’s Quest has him even wearing like a Roman helmet and everything, it’s odd. Add helmets to the list of things Simon might wear. Hmm maybe I should make a tier list of things based on how often he’s worn them…

Moving on!

This one goes for the bold choice of giving Simon not only an expected tiny belted tunic, but side slits on the legs! And uh um a little too much detail but uh— It’s also this kinda white, kinda bluish, kinda silverish color? Add this to Simon’s color palette I guess lol.

Which reminds me that I didn’t mention colors very much until now whoops. Throughout all of hie designs he primarily seems to wear neutrals like various browns, greys, and metal tones. But he also has a lot of color. Like as in there’s enough different colored designs to make a whole rainbow of Simon outfits. Common combinations like dark green, gold, and wine reds; blue and silver; brown, gold, orange, and kinda purplish greys; etc etc. And his HAIR. Oh boy, would this guy love modern hair dye X,,,,,D. He’s had it various blonds, reds, browns, even black at one point, blue, green, unnatural red, pink, and in one concept design white! Personally, I like depicting it as a nice in between of red, blond, and brown, it encompasses the most I think.

The final thing I wanna mention is the Smash Bros design, which I unfortunately can’t show because I’m on mobile and have met the 10 images limit whoopsie— (_ _ ;). This design is really a good culmination of a lot of elements. Not really definitive or anything, but very good :3. And it has something I didn’t mention earlier that I’ve noticed in some Simon designs: random belts or metal around his upper arms and thighs lol. The Smash Bros design in particular has the arm band things on both sides, Chronicles has it on the not half coat one, but this is another thing I’ve seen other characters (Christopher in particular, but his are just gold rings) have. The leg thing is less common, but yeah, that exists lol. Thank you Simon for uh bending two pieces of metal around your leg…? It’s cool XD. The corset also makes a return, as well as, once more, the same basic silhouette with the armor only on the left side, the belt armor pieces, etc etc. He’s very particular about that—

Well, anyway, Simon definitely has a vibe going on, but here’s a brief summary of things he seems to like:

Skirts, tunics, long shirts, and shorts (and skorts I guess), but nothing past about half his thigh, generally over the knees.

No long sleeves or pant legs (unless it’s tights when absolutely necessary).

Armor primarily to the left, unless it’s metal, in that case usually a full plate or paldron set.

Belts, hilts, belts on his arms, and neck, and hanging off of things, and legs, yeah belts—

Boots/tall socks, corded or not, and something on his forearms or wrists.

Headband! Seriously out of every Belmont he is the most dedicated to these lol.

Necklaces and beads and other little accessories and adornments are also cool.

Alrighty then, have fun Simon-ing and I encourage you to look through his or other characters’ designs and pick them apart a bit sometimes, even if it’s just through what’s on the wiki :3. If anything, I think it’s a good exercise in character design and consistency! But yeah, I wrote all this late at night and can’t think of anything else rn. If I do I’ll do a sequel I guess hehe. Either that or I might rant about another character hmmmmmmm—

With the final chapter of TCWKTM by @crinklytinfoil upcoming I have decided to celebrate with more doodles. YAY!

(Did I say upcoming, I meant release. Apperently I posted this 3 minutes after the last chapter updated)

I don't know why I have decided that Shrike always wears those night vision goggles(?) now but they look cool at least(GOD I LOVE THEM).

I think I've finally gotten a hang of Dani's hairstyle for my design which is a blessing because in order from the easiest to hardest hair texture to draw is Coily>Straight>Locs>Wavy>Braids>Curly with a jump of times 4 from braids to curly(My hubris for giving Cyan short curly hair has and will continue to keep biting me in the ass).

Speaking of Cyan, I've also updated him. He always has eye bags now cause he feels tired now, more so than the start of the fic at least. Since, unless I've missed something, he's still wearing Black's suit I felt I should make it a part of his outfit. One of the issues I was having when I drew him though was that we still call him Cyan but he wasn't wearing cyan anymore which is an issue when I read the story but when I drew him it just felt odd. My solution to that hangup of mine was to keep the suit and belt black’s but give him the gloves and boots so there's at least some cyan still on him since I don't think it was ever stated that Johnny cut those off, there wouldn't be a reason to and they would fit him better than Johnny's anyways. He also isn’t wearing his backpack thing or helmet(not that I ever drew anyone with theirs anyways) since I figured they probably lost it or some shit. In this pic no one is wearing theirs but that’s just because I wanted them to look like they were chilling, Cyan straight up doesn’t have his.

Funnily enough this is the one that took the least amount of time to make, I started it yesterday and finished it like now though I do attribute that to a stroke of sudden inspiration that I was able to draw in my sketchbook so honestly most of the work was the coloring.

Drawing these guys just kinda being silly is so fun it's unfair, especially Purple. This man has done so much bullshit, I should shoot him on sight but the moment I pick up my pen he appears, the motherfucker! A pretty fun aspect of these purple are, as you can see, he's using Grey's skin. While I'm pretty sure in the story he looks the exact same I figured it would be more fun for drawing purposes to mix the two of them together to create some distinction rather than just drawing Grey with a purple suit.

My design for Grey had him as average height but more stout(at least comparatively for my artstyle) while Purple was a little more scrawny and tall which worked well for what I wanted to do. His bangs are center parted when Grey's bangs are gathered in the center. Also I drew their expressions differently, when it's Purple I draw his more bitter/sour, I decided that most of his expressions are squinty and tend to furrow the brows while Grey's are more, I'm not sure how to put it, genuine?

As you can probably tell I really enjoy trying to come up with the character's designs myself but I know when to throw in the towel and admit someone did better than me. I tried to come up with a design for Olive/Finch myself but I just could not come up with one I liked even equally let alone more than @krysmcscience 's design. They really captured their energy well so I’m just using theirs.

Ayy, I drew my take on good old Johnny boy. I think I did a pretty good job making him look older without him becoming a mass of wrinkles.

Drawing Flayer's ship was pretty fun, I've been trying to draw backgrounds and objects more so it was good practice. We obviously don't know what it actually looks like yet other than it is made of flesh and metal so I definitely had to just make shit up. For these bitches sake I hope it's bigger than what I designed because it is going to suck otherwise. Just as I'm typing this I kinda already wanna redesign it though.

I went for something more simple based of the premise that ships are complicated and difficult to make; the whole thing is kinda supposed to look like the flesh is doing a lot of the work to keep it together to compensate for a lack of technical knowledge and skill but just now I remembered that Flayer was the head of the mechanics so she almost certainly has more than enough knowledge and experience to make a good ship on her own even without the flesh. Oh well, I can redesign it when we learn more. I'm keeping its face though, the face was a completely but incredibly happy accident.

Also, I find it interesting that the Imposter’s missions are usually about them destroying biomechanical technology but one of Flayer's named imposter abilities is to use her genetic material to create machinery that fuses artificial and organic material.

I'm pretty sure these were all drawn sometime before the new year but they were all I had and I didn't want to post one image of doodles so enjoy them now.

While I am still proud of Brown and Devon making out I think my favorite doodle here is Cyan and his judgmental ass face. Why is he staring at Finch like, he is not in any position to but judging like that.

I also borrowed Kry's designs for Red and Umber, I couldn't help myself for Umber, it was just too perfect!

Not sure how I feel about my take on Skeld!White(Finnegan I CANT-). I'm not sure if it's just I'm so used to seeing Kry's design that anything else feels weird or just that I made him too baby faced and princessy. I tend to draw men that are very pretty and feminine so I think I went overboard when I tried my hand since he was usually described similar to how I would normally design a man.

Can I request a drabble for Steve Rogers and reader where he is her emergency contact by accident? He just got a new number and it's the readers ex's number. She has an accident, they call, Steve answers and feels bad when they say reader has no one else to contact. So Steve ends up going and that's how they end up together?

The last thing you saw, before everything went black, was a car, racing straight at your vehicle. Hitting it in the side. Then you lost consciousness.

Steve sat in one of the many boring meetings, not really listening and just doodling in his notebook. He hated these meetings. Most of the time they didn’t even say anything-

His phone rang, making everyone look at him, visibly confused. If he was completely honest, he was confused himself. Everyone who could call him, sat in this room, around the same table with him.

“Maybe you shouldn’t-“ started Sam, but Steve already picked up his phone and answered. “Hello?”

“I’m sorry to inform you, but your girlfriend had an accident. We’re about to bring her into surgery, if it’s possible you should come and visit her, we can’t promise what will happen…it’s…it’s a complicated surgery”, said a female voice, that Steve definitely didn’t know. And he also definitely didn’t have a girlfriend. Yet when his number was your emergency contact-probably a mistake, since he got a new phone recently, after losing the last one during a mission-he felt like he had to come to the hospital.

At least to for some kind of support, even if he wasn’t the one you were waiting for.

He didn’t really explain anything to his teammates, just saying he had to go.

Even if Steve had no idea who you were, he was racing. From what the doctor said, you’d be in surgery for a while, but they hadn’t updated him about your injures, so he really wanted to know, what happened to you.

He also felt slightly stupid for worrying about a stranger.

But it’s how he was. He wore his heart on his sleeve and let everyone inside, who flashed him a gentle smile. You were in pain and in need of a friend. He’d be that friend for you.

In the Hospital he had to fill out some papers, not really being able to answer many questions-especially not the ones about you-but after the doctor recognised him, he stopped asking and just updated him on the surgery.

You had broken ribs and some other injuries, but the worst one was a internal bleeding, which the were scared the most of, but they managed it.

He waited a few hours, till they finally brought in the ICU. The doctors allowed Steve to stay-sometimes he used his title as captain America, but at least he did it for a good cause. Being with you felt like the right thing to do.

Sitting next to your bed, Steve gently took your hand and squeezed. “You're gonna be okay…“, he looked down at your chart. “…Y/N. You’re gonna be okay, Y/N, I’m right here.”

He let his gaze glide over your bruised face. Steve could tell you were pretty, soft lips, so kissable looking… and long eyelashes framing your now closed eyes. How he would love to see your eyes. What could be your eye colour?

Quickly Steve shook of this thought. He shouldn’t be thinking about you this way. You had probably a boyfriend-maybe that’s who they tried to call and accidentally typed in the wrong number?

A slight squeeze of his hand made him look back at you, just in time to see your eyelids flutter, before opening them slowly. “What…”, was the first thing you rasped. Steve gave you a cup of water with a straw in it, holding it against your lips. Only then did you look at him-you eyes widening immediately.

If you hadn’t had the straw between your lips, your breath would’ve hitched. How-why was this beautiful man next to you. He looked like an angel-wait

“Am I dead?”, Steve watched you for a moment, but shook his head slowly. “No, you’re…you’re in the hospital. The doctors said you were in an accident”, even though you understood what he said, you weren’t really listening. It was the medications fault, you were so groggy, but you didn’t know that.

Shaking your head you pulled him a bit closer to you, cupping his cheek in your hand. without thinking about it, he put his hand on yours. “You’re an angel. Does it mean I’m going to heaven? it means I was…”, before you could finish your sentence you fell once again asleep.

Once again Steve waited a while. He didn’t want you to wake up alone-Even if it meant he’d have to stay all night here. He’d do it.

And he also felt pathetic for being so smitten for someone he didn’t even know. You just had to look at him with your sparkling eyes and his heart started racing. He never felt like that…and he was so scared it’d turn out you already had a partner waiting for you at home.

“Who are you…?”, your raspy voice brought him out of his thoughts. He smiled at you, a bit flushed. “I’m your emergency contact…I’m Steve”, he introduced himself, wanting to pull his hand away, but you squeezed it slightly, not wanting for him to let go.

“It’s a shame we’re meeting under such awful circumstances…”, you mumbled, making Steve laugh quietly. His laugh made everything in your body tingle-this time not because of the pain meds.

He slowly leaned a bit closer to you. “How about I get us something to eat and we’ll just pretend we’re in a cute Café on our first date?”, he felt his blood Rusch to his cheeks, making him blush.

“I’d love to.”

HALLO i was wondering how you get out of art block?? your art is very expressive and i absolutely adore all your colour choices and designs. ive been having trouble with art block for a very long time now so i’m just trying to ask other artists how they get outta it <3 i hope u have a niceday yesyes

OUGHH HELLO!!! holy crap, art block is the WORST. everytime i encounter it, its always hard to beat it D: theres days where i feel like i WANT to draw something so badly but my brain just. cant function

i dont have a definitive solution for art block, but whenever i do, i have a few ways to cope with it. sometimes they work, sometimes they dont? but whenever the time comes and im just sitting at a brick wall, i got some survival tips

1. come up with random silly ideas,, it could be anything: random words, phrases, scenarios. they can be as nonsensical as you want them to be. during art blocks, my mind is completely dry with ideas, so i always try to compile a list of ideas from the past so i can come back to them later on. i try to come up with random duos or something as simple as “mcdonalds date”. i might not work on these now, but maybe some random lil word can spark that creativity in me

heres my art ideas list… i have some ideas that are like 8 months old in there BGAHSGA, but i save em there till i feel like working on them

2. STRUGGLE DOODLES!! i like to make a bunch of doodles of random scenes that i think about in my head. doodle practically anything. your favorite person, favorite animal, something you see outside your window, frogs?

heres a few of mine. most of the time, i NEVER get to finishing them. however, during art blocks sometimes i like to go back to really old, incomplete guidelines and add some new, random addition to it. sometimes i forget what my sketches were exactly meant to be? and i guess thats the fun about interpreting stuff and giving things a new spin to them. during art blocks, i HATE trying to come up with new drawings from a blank canvas (since i dont even have any ideas to begin with). but working on old wips, or completely revising them? sometimes these can be super fun :]

[and bonus tip!! and this is like, a golden tip that everyone loves: going back to super old drawings and redrawing them!! its my favorite. i absolutely love seeing the improvement ive made over the years. its also pretty easy to work with since you dont have to stress about coming up with completely new ideas from a blank slate! GAHH i should do that more often.]

3. search up your favorite fanart, go on pinterest, anything. i love this one.

search up some really cool photos of outfits, aesthetic backgrounds?? i find myself searching up a lot of fanart of fandoms im in, any word with “aesthetic” at the end, casino aesthetic, anything! pinterest has always been my go-to platform to find ideas. i go on the app and not even a second in, im blown with all of this cool art n character designs. i have a problem saving almost everything i find into my boards, but at least i saved a chock-full of ideas i can work with. :)

a thing about me: ive never been the type to try and force my art block out. whenever im facing a block, its extremely difficult for me to come up with things on my own. sometimes i let it wait for a while, but that tends to take a REALLY long time. D: if i dont feel like drawing, or doodling, or really doing anything? i always like scrolling through really pretty photos. that tends to spark a small idea in me i can work with, and sometimes i manage to get out of art block from there. it starts out small, then over time it gets even better.

these photos especially gave me WAY more motivation than i ever had to draw wilbur during an art block moment. i started off making small random doodles of him in a neon city and over time it kinda turned into a fixation for neon cities. i LOVE imagining characters in random photos i find on pinterest.

Guys I ong woke up to like so many new asks I’m gonna be busy when I’m done with classes for the day. Speaking about asks, I have like two “phantom asks”. Idk what else to call it but I constantly have like two extra in my inbox that don’t exist. Like my inbox says 11 rn but there are actually only 9. It’s been like this for the longest time idfk. Anyway still excited to draw alla your silly little asks ;3.

Also I been thinking about the 18+ stuff, and I been slightly thinking about making a second account for it, but at the same time I feel like two accounts for me is too much to manage for me personally. I might just always make 18+ stuff under the cut in a post with a sfw doodle above the cut so minors who follow me don’t just get it shoved on them, but tbh, my account has never been advertised as for people under 18. Like I think on of the first polls (if not THE first) i made, was literally asking if this account should be freaky and not, and the result turned out to be “a bit of both” but I can see while catformers was going that probably got lost to time. But I’m still hesitant on making a second account because idk. Second accounts have just never been for me, and I don’t really do them. I like to have my blog as just the full experience of me doing whatever tf I want. I mean, from now-on out it’s advertised as mildly 18+, so newer people know at least. That’s gonna be my opinion on it.

Also guys like this week I’m doing some craazy painting things. Context: I like working with acrylics a bit more abstract. My digital and traditional art styles are both wildly different so I kinda wanna show you guys the other stuff I’m making in class. The one I’m doing today actually has some transformers related stuff so I may post both of my works later today HEHE. (My hands are constantly drowning in paint.)

I have (I think) like 5/15 ocs finished btw so like…if you want to request me revealing more, then by all means, go on HUEHEU. For now I just have them as filler if I don’t have any asks that day but it DEFINITELY seems to be a problem I only THOUGHT I would have. Summer in the heart of the French capital can squeeze the life of its citizens like wringing out a wet cloth. Intense heat leaves people dry and lifeless at best. Everyone has their own way of coping with it, but the higher you live the harder it becomes to bear the scorching weather. The pair of our blond haired people have completely different approach to sun and temperatures, Violet is definitely more sustainable than her neighbor. This day was particularly annoying with its heat but when the day was finally setting to rest, and evening air filled out the Paris, it was finally the time for long awaited cigarette. First, wearing only shorts, the Frenchman settled on the balcony, bringing out the lighter and starting his little ritual. For him it was almost spiritual, to inhale the cancerous substances like they’re exquisite perfumeries and swallow he smoke like his lover’s aftertaste. Living in this brief moment he zoned out so much that he almost overlooked sudden movements on the balcony next to him. This is when a female voice pierced the air and sweetened the bitterness of cigarette

—Oh, myy, do my eyes deceive me? — She asked playfully, taking her first breath into the cig —I thought you died — Small smirk composed with clever eyes, so well integrated with her bright but tired face of a worker. She scanned his half bare body, no surprise in this weather, however she never saw this boy like that, and the growth on his face? That’s also new. It's been a while, even if their doors were next to each other.

— Good afternoon, and yeah, almost, I’m currently dying— He laughed softly while turning his body to face his neighbor. Correct, this man absolutely hates weather like that, so they hardly ever see each other in summer. His heat tolerance is basically non existent. So ironic.

—Yeah I can see that — She nodded while scanning his pretty body with her weary eyes. She had a fondness for everything that's beautiful, so looking was one way to appreciate it. They weren't close, but she wasn't blind. Even if her smile was full of tease.

—Careful, don’t fall in love — Francis joked when he saw how piercing those eyes can really be, not that he’s complaining. Starved for attention as always, but only a fool wouldn't take advantage of it.

—Sorry, I have someone else on my mind already - She smiled and approached him by standing closer to man’s balcony.— but speaking of the weather, I 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 go out every now and then, you really need a special temperature.

He only rolled his eyes and once again turned to face the Eiffel’s tower. —You really notice things like that, huh?

—Pfh, hard not to! You’re always complaining when I ask where have you been. „Ah it was too hot!”, „it was sooo cold”, „you didn’t see how windy it was?”

—Okay, you got me there - He admitted reluctantly, chuckling softly, learning how easily others could read things about him. Interesting, really. Hands rose in the act of giving up and more smoke poisoned those two - What can I say? I’m a bit picky.

—My condolences to anyone who asks you on a date. I hope they are lucky with the weather - Violet laughed softly, biting the white end of the cigarette, when her attention caught poor, dried out flowers in the flower pot on his balcony. Almost completely fried by the sun. Her plant loving heart just got punched —You should really pick some flowers, so the new ones could grow. And maybe water them more. Poor things are almost dead..

—That’s why I’m the one asking on them— He joked back and looked on sad bushes. Oh yes, he always forgets to water them, poor little plants.. He got them as a gift and still couldn’t care for them properly. Francis starts to feel like it’s some sort of a curse on him. It's was a bit irritating to see how creatures he adored so much were dying on him like flies.—Oh, yeah.. Thanks for the advice.

He smiled softly and she replied with the same. The rest of the conversation was little useless chitchat about work and their plans for the heatwaves. Finally Francis squished his addiction on the ashtray and both said their goodbyes. Meetings like this are happening once in a while. There was a time when he spotted his neighbor laying on the sunbed tanning her skin on her balcony. Is this woman made of fire?

"You'll get cancer because of this sun." He joked.

"And you'll die because of the cigarettes." She said with a smile, not even flinching.

"Touché."

Who knows how much time is going to pass until they meet again? How many sunsets and sunshines will pass, how many boiling summer days? Weeks? So close to each other but it sometimes feels like they are on two different planets. They'll finally collide due to some unfortunate events in Violet’s life. Will they put their differences aside and communicate? Or will lion swallow a little pigeon?

Who knows, those summer nights still hide many secrets.

And for the last of the posts for this prompt, I’m writing for Nanbaka! Again, definitely another fandom pretty much made for polyships because boy, are there so many great ones! One of my favourites is actually a quad-ship so I wrote for that, where you, the amazing reader, are dating Nico, Uno, Rock, and Jyugo in a poly relationship! Couldn’t resist the chance to write for it and I hope all my Nanbaka fans will enjoy the headcanons!

Who accidentally pushes a door instead of pulling/vice versa?

Okay, but every single one of them and you have done this at least once or twice. It’s pretty human, honestly. On the subject though, I feel Nico does it the most and Jyugo, with his insane luck at getting through doors, does it the least. Uno has a bad habit of walking into the door, mostly because he’s looking back at you and the boys and chattering away about something.

Who doodles little hearts all over the desk with their initials inside them?

Not so much a desk, but I feel Uno and Nico are the ones who would do the whole initials in a heart or doodling your name with their last names or things along the same thread. It’s kind of cute, actually, especially once Uno comes up with a group name for the lot of you and just starts doodling it everywhere.

Who starts the tickle fights?

Jyugo is surprisingly ticklish around the armpit area and won’t start a tickle fight that he knows will just be turned right around on him. Rock, if he knows you or any of the others are really ticklish and don’t mind being tickled, will definitely use it to his advantage to lighten a mood while Uno does it to win arguments. Nico wishes he was ticklish because whoever is getting tickled looks like they’re having so much fun.

Who starts the pillow fights?

I feel like everyone, but Jyugo would start a pillow fight occasionally. Uno is smart about it and builds a stockpile of pillows thrown at him to use when everyone has run out. Rock prefers the hold and whomp over throwing the pillows. Nico gets tired out by pillow fights easily and plays cheerleader after the first little bit…Jyugo sucks at pillow fights and loses every time.

Who falls asleep last, watching the other with a small affectionate smile?

Honestly, it’s either Jyugo, Uno, or you. It tends to be Jyugo more often, since he sleeps at weird hours and tends to stay up really late, especially if he has things on his mind. And when things are weighing heavy in his mind, he likes to watch you and the boys because it reminds him that he has people, has this little family, to live for and to try to be better for.

Who mistakes salt for sugar?

Honestly, Nico can’t really tell the difference at all between a lot of cooking ingredients. Sugar and salt aren’t interchangeable? But they look exactly the same! All those green herbs…they’re all the exact same thing to him. Baking soda and baking powder don’t do the same thing? Nico is so confused and just grabbed whichever one he thought was right. Seriously, the boy should not be allowed to cook and any food he makes will definitely taste either downright gross or more than a little off.

Who lets the microwave play the loud beeping sound at 1 a.m. in the morning?

Rock, if he wasn’t in prison, would be the late night snacker. Nico sleeps pretty early and pretty soundly and doesn’t wake up for snack time unless someone wakes him up. Jyugo doesn’t really get the munchies late at night and Uno doesn’t eat after 8 o’clock to maintain his figure. Rock though…he suffers those midnight cravings so bad, and microwaves give you food quick. He always forgets until it happens just how loud that beeping sound is and he’ll try to open the microwave as quickly as he can to make the beeping stop.

Who comes up with cheesy pick-up lines?

Nico is the only one of the four who has never used a cheesy pick-up line on you. Uno seems to almost delight in coming up with the cheesiest ones he can think of to make you laugh, while Jyugo knows of no other way to really romance you. Rock does it when he wants to look really cool and it really can’t help but make you grin, which he really likes.

Who rearranges the bookshelf in alphabetical order?

Okay, but seriously, it’s you or nobody. None of them are all that worried about how the bookshelf is organized, as long as it’s full of books and they can see the title before they grab it, because backwards books are not a good thing.

Who licks the spoon when they’re baking brownies?

Rock and Nico will usually fight over the spoon or beaters a little, play rock-paper-scissors to decide. They both just always really want that little treat. If you say you want it though? It’s yours and neither man will fight you on it. Uno’s the smart one though and always has a spatula or two handy while making brownies so that Rock can have the spoon and you and Nico can have the spatulas with the scrapings from the bowl.

Who buys candles for dinners even though there’s no special occasion?

If candles were an option, Uno would definitely do this. I feel this fits pretty well into his idea of being cool, romantic, and Prince Charming like…until someone knocks the candlestick over because it definitely will happen, since all the other boys want to join in on the meal, even if he planned for it to be just the two of you.

Who draws little tattoos on the other with a pen?

Nico loves doing this. He even has some of those colourful ‘tattoo markers’ and he’ll cover yours or Uno’s whole back or arm with designs, usually based around his favourite anime or videogame.

Who comes home with a new souvenir magnet every time they go on vacation?

Uno collects souvenir playing cards from every destination you guys go. Nico collects postcards. Rock always takes home a cookbook from whatever location you all vacation to. Jyugo is really the only one who doesn’t do much in the way of souvenirs, something that kind of bothers him once he figures out that fact and he starts searching for the perfect thing to collect from vacations and travels. He’d probably ask your advice on it, to be honest.

Who convinces the other to fill out those couple surveys in the back of magazines?

It’s canonical that Uno has a thing for surveys and quizzes from the back of women’s magazines so like…this is a no-brainer. He takes them really seriously too! Same with zodiac match-up’s…he gets way too into those and always gets pissed if there’s even a hint that your zodiac sign isn’t compatible with his or that you’re more compatible sign-wise with one of the other boys over him.
