something fulfilling in watching two projects (stranger things, thor: love & thunder) hype up their “queer content” as if they’re doing something groundbreaking by doing the same bullshit we’ve seen w/ poorly done queer rep for ages
meanwhile projects like our flag means death, a league of their own, heartstopper, first kill, the owl house, etc. (all in the same year as the other two projects, may i add) perfectly demonstrate how behind those projects are when it comes to rep. how dumb they look for even attempting the dumb “up-for-interpretation”, token queer character shit.
showing how simple it is to, if you are marketing for a queer audience, not to treat us like shit. showing queer people in casual lights, showing our stories in multiple genres for multiple ages, showing multiple queer characters across a spectrum of identities, whether that be sexuality, gender, race, etc.
all it shows me is that i won’t settle for the bullshit queerbaiting. not anymore.

In the early hours of March 31st, after only a little over 4 months of its existence, the official blog for my precious fanfic, Cherish, finally was able to gain a full 5 followers.
Comparably to the average Tumblr, I suppose that number might not seem very monumental to much of anyone, but at least to me, it means the whole world; after all, it means that a whole five people love my fic so very much that they are interested in following a blog dedicated solely to content surrounding it.
No matter how hard I try, I could not begin to put into words how much Cherish means to me. There are numerous reasons for that — some that I may find it in me to talk about someday, some that I already have, and…some that I just might never discover the way to properly express.
Cherish’s fans mean just as much to me. The idea that there are people out there who are invested in this story and its characters, who think about it and about them and who wish in their hearts to engage with that on any level — that makes me so, so happy. It gives me a kind of joy that is unexplainable.
To all of Cherish’s readers, its followers, its fans, and the hopefully many more to come in the future, thank you so much for everything. I love you so very, very much. 🥺😭💖🥹💕
I look forward to the next milestone goal we reach!
(Oh and uh…art requests are still open to celebrate the 1,000 hits milestone. Please free free to check that out here if you’re interested and have the time. We haven’t received any requests yet.)
Do not repost this artwork anywhere without my explicit permission or claim it as your own. See F.A.Q.s for details.
Songs I listened to while drawing this:
My Cherish Playlist (the public and currently only partial version of which you can listen to here.)
The Real Thing by Ron Pope
Other songs mostly unrelated to the vibe that I also listened to:
Always the Last to Know by Gavin Mikhail
Piece by Piece (Idol version, slowed and reverb) by Kelly Clarkson
