Hi! I wanted to drop by and say that your designs are really cool! Can I ask what MFRP stands for and what the AU is about?
You fool. You’ve let me infodump about something I’m insanely passionate about! Everything will be put under the cut, so I don’t bombard you all with a wall of text gklsdlakj
OKAY SO! MFRP stands for MultiFandom RolePlay. Mine’s a private discord server between me and my buddies, where we all sit and RP because writing together’s fun! Been doin RP since I was a wee little lad. I’ve been running this server for 3 years now- just turned 3 on Dec 15th. Me and my buddies take characters we’re passionate about, and write as if we are them. Jack and Yuya specifically are muses I’ve had for around.. 5? 6 years now? It’s the reason why Yuya’s so old compared to canon, actually. But I digress.
The AU designs themselves aren’t from a solid AU plot point, it’s a culmination of stuff that’s happened in the server! Some of these designs me and my friends have originally come into the server like that- and we have extensive backstory/au written beforehand- or it’s a normal guy who gets messed up later on. With the latter, it’s usually because of some magical force of fuckery that we call Transmagica Monstrum Disease. It’s a plot-point that started many years ago, and there's still no known cure for the ailment. TMD is highly contagious, and its only goal is to spread to everything and anything organic.
TMD, 9 out of 10 times, will alter the users body in some way, shape, or form. Via giving them some sort of physical alteration, a power alteration, or both. The initial ‘transformation’ stage is painful, and lasting side effects are present. Those afflicted may enter a “feral/berserk” state that’s uncontrollable and difficult to quell. Initial harnessing of the powers can also be difficult, and many end up hurting themselves before learning to harness them. It’s beneficial, but also has its downsides.
By the RPers/muns choice, a character/muse can get infected with TMD.
Hi. That’s me! I love fusing silly guys with their ace monsters or whatever my mind comes up with. The design practice is fun, and it’s a great way to also explore their characters! Each character deals with it in a different way and it’s awesome. :]

talkin' about the largest level from my game, 'UNITRES Dreams' , called ~DREAMSCAPE DISTANCE - SECTION 2~
Tumblr media
hello. today i want to talk about the level 'Dreamscape Distance - Section 2' from the game i made, 'UNITRES Dreams'. this level is one of the largest levels i've ever made in any of my games, and it's something i'm really proud of and want to talk a little bit about. so click the read more thingy if you wish to learn more about it,,
also , By The Way, play da on newgrounds ehehehehe ~! or u can download it on itch.io too if you want
the version of this level in the final version of the game is one of the most ambitious things ive ever done and is something im Really proud of. to sum it up... it is the largest level in the entire game, with tons of paths and secrets, with there being things you can only find once in the level in Very Specific places. it was one of the last levels to be completed, and it's one of my favorites. but before i can get into the specifics... i want to first talk about its history.
when development of unitres dreams began, it was a much slower paced game, with the controls being a lot more simplistic and level design being more focused on linear platforming against enemies that constantly shoot bullets at you. both 'sections' of dreamscape distance were completely different early in development, having a different tileset and level layouts.
Tumblr media
dreamscape distance - section 2 at this time was a lot more basic than the one in the current version of the game. it was linear and didnt have a whole lot of stuff going on. in fact, when i first invisioned it, it wasn't supposed to be anything. it was kind of just another city level where at the end you fight against the spaghetti monster you just created in a cutscene in the last level. there was One other thing i had in mind when i first created the level, but unforunately it was cut from the final game. i was planning on having there be puzzles in this level which youd solve using the party swapping mechanic. each character would have separate traits which would be used in the puzzle. i dont remember fully what the puzzles would have been like, but i think you wouldve had to the '??????' character to punch the 'trees' character across the room. sadly, at that time of development i originally gave myself a deadline of having the entire game come out on may 9, which was like less than 3 months from when i started development on the game. So, with me having little time to come up with the planning and programming and artwork for an entire puzzle section in One level, i decided to just remove it. this meant that the party swapping mechanic in the final game had a lot less purpose than what i hoped it would have... but oh well.
one idea i Tried to implement from the very beginning of the level's conception was the flying car gimmick... i wanted to have a set piece where you're flying through buildings and ships, shooting enemies with bullets and having the spaghetti boss fight be a bullet hell fight... but Well...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
not only was the car itself kind of messy, but the spaghetti boss ended up being really disappointing for me. since the screen's size was really small, there wasnt a whole lot of room for you to move around in. not only that, but i couldnt really do any complex attacks from the boss, as all the bullets took up a lot of space on screen and you couldnt really see things coming ahead. so, all of the boss's moves are very basic and either incredibly easy to dodge or incredibly annoying to dodge.
so yea. i was really disappointed overall with the game back then. so, i then decided to completely change the gameplay to be more fast paced, have more movement abilities, and have more open levels with things to do. i also decided on completely remaking most of the old levels, with both of the Dreamscape Distance sections being entirely remade with new art, level design, and gimmicks. i wanted the new levels to be prettier, more fun to go through, and to leave a really good first impression. Dreamscape Distance - Section 1 was one of the first levels i remade (and i might have a lot to talk about it later... we'll see!), but Dreamscape Distance - Section 2 was one of the last levels to be finished, as at first i wasnt sure what i wanted to do with it yet.
But Then, i finally realized what i wanted to do with it, and i spent like a whole entire month dedicated to making it the most largest level ive Ever made... i wanted it to be a sort of magnum opus for me. i wanted this level to leave a lasting impression on you at the very beginning of the game. I spent Days working on just the level collision Alone, and took even longer putting in all the artwork and objects. the level even got updated multiple times to add even More stuff to it after the game came out...
and well, im not sure if other people feel the same about it, but for me it is one of my favorite levels in the whole game. im gonna talk about it now.
first off, i wanna talk about the inspirations for the level. i wanted to turn it from a simple "city area" into a whole mall area. i wanted it to feel Huge and dreamlike, so a lot of it is inspired by my own personal memories of an old mall i used to go to when i was young. one Specific thing i can bring up is the air balloons area that appears at the beginning of the level...
Tumblr media
you see, the mall i used to go to had this sort of sculpture thing of a cartoony air balloon in the clouds... i dont remember much of it but i wanted to include something like it in the level. it's something you can Easily miss, but just before you encounter the first POLYCAR section, you can find a bunch of large air balloons floating above, and you can even bounce on the balloons like large bumpers.. it is such a specific set piece that only appears at this specific part of the level that i love so much. my only wish is that i spent more time on the art for the balloons themselves,, theyre kind of just a repeating tile set, but it is what it is.
that area is actually full with even More specific things you can only find there. just below where the balloons are, there is an entire part of the level where you can find two hidden NPCs if you go down far enough... i wont say who one of them are, but i Will tell you about the 'Vie' character...
Tumblr media
when you first talk to her, she will give trees all of her flowers so that they can spread them all across the levels. every level from then on will have flowers placed All Over. it is such a small detail that i loved implementing, and it's something you can Only find in one incredibly easy to miss area. That is kind of what the whole spirit of the game is for me and what i want to implement in my future works,, the idea of there always being something new to find,, i wanted it so you can just get Lost in this level and find something weird to do. i may not have been able to accomplish a Whole lot with this (due to me being the Only developer working on this in my spare time), but i am really proud of what i managed to accomplish with this game...
Anyways, speaking of NPCs, this level has the Most NPCs out of every level in the game, and some of them are in Incredibly Specific places. a lot of the NPCs are actually cameos from my close friend's OCs, and im really happy they let me include their characters as little secrets in my silly little game. my Only regret is that i didnt get to create as many original characters as i wanted (as making the NPC sprites along with dialogue portraits and writing takes Longer Than You Think), but i at least was able to implement the clown trio in Chaotic Carnival... which is a story for another day...
Tumblr media
So , after the room with the balloons, you enter the first area with the 'POLYCAR'. the design is a Lot simpler... just a diamond that moves around, but i like it a lot more than the old design, and it even controls better too. one of the important changes i made to the new version of the car is that the screen actually zooms out when you enter it, this allowed me to make the car sections more larger and for the spaghetti boss to actually be Good and like an actual bullet hell. But Anyways...
Tumblr media
after the first POLYCAR section, you are dropped into an area with two SAVE points, along with a sign in the middle that tells you that that there's a left and right path you can take. these signs were something added later on in an update as a sort of easier way of adding more NPCs into the level without actually designing a new character, and i really like them. i managed to add a lot of these in a bunch of random spots, and while i am not proud of most of my writing, i Really like some of the stuff i wrote for these signs. they're Interesting.
so, something that only this level does is there's a left and right path which takes you to entirely different parts of the level. the left path has a few level gimmicks that dont appear at any other part in the level and is also a faster path to take, while the right path is Large and has tons of NPCs and set pieces that you skip by taking the left path. this is something ive Always wanted to, from even as far back as my old fangames, but always been afraid of doing as in a lot of cases, players will just get Lost when you make the level go in a direction that Isn't just a straight path forwards. Luckily, i think this kind of level design worked here, as the left path is a Little more linear and easy to get through compared to the right path. the left path is also more crazier, with you having to go Down, then right and then left again. so it's probably a bit more confusing, but the few playthroughs ive seen of it seem to understand it after a bit, so i think it worked out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the left path i wont get into too much, as i think it's better for you to experience for yourself. i Will say that there's a window sprite you can find there that doesnt appear anywhere else in the level. i wanted that part of the level to feel more like a City than the rest of the level, but i didnt get to do as much with it due to time. it's still pretty neat, though. the left path is generally focused on straight Gameplay, while the right path (which is the one most people take) has a lot more Things to do.
for one, the right path is very Vertical, with tons of little areas you can find. i wanted to make the right path look like a bunch of shops, but while i didnt get to make too much art for it, you can find things such as tiny cash registers and shelves, along with scrolling walls with hearts, stars, and diamonds on them. there are, of course, Tons of NPCs and signs you can find here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
one specific NPC i'll tell you about is the 'Stealth' NPC, who is based off my friend stealth's squirrel character. just to the right of him, you can find a swimming pool which appears Nowhere Else in the level, along with a polygonal palmtree. something else you can find which only appears on the right path are escalators which move you upwards... these are also inspired by the old mall, and while i wish i couldve designed better artwork for them, i just like that theyre there.
there's a lot of specific gimmicks and areas in the right path that you can just Miss by only going one way. i dont think i will reveal every single NPC and secret in this level as i think it's best to find it yourself, but i Will say that at the very bottom of the right path you can find a hidden area with a hidden sign and NPC..
Tumblr media
last specific little thingy about the level ill get into is that, at the end of the level you exit the mall and the background turns into a bright night sky with an ocean full of little flowers. i have nothing much to say about this other than it's pretty. also at the end of the level i tried doing a little thing where you have to go right and then left and the up and right again to get to the end, which is something i tried carrying over from the old level. idk if it worked out well but i like it anyways LOL!
so. now that ive talked about all the specific parts of the level that make me love it a lot, let me get into the Issues with this level. you see, it being large is a Curse. with it being the largest level in the game with the most objects in it, it lags like Hell. at least for me, anyways. on both of my computers it runs at like, 40 fps during most of the level, and at like 30 fps and the very end of the level. Now, i have seen people run the level at 60 fps... id imagine youd need a good pc to actually run it at full speed. but it isnt too slow for me that it's Unplayable.. and my computers arent exactly Powerful.. so i cant imagine how this level plays on a computer that is Worse. there's nothing i can really do about it. the lag is kind of the only thing that prevents me from replaying this level a billion times, especially since it Also takes awhile to load the level. it's a small price to pay for ambition...
my last real problem with the level is that i wish i could do even More with it. theres so much i wish i could add to it to make it feel even more alive,, such as making the "shops" feel like Actual Shops. i designed the level collision first before anything, so there are a lot of things i had in mind that i never got to fully detail with the artwork. my biggest fear with adding more art is that id make the level lag even More.. which is something i dont want to do. i think the big culprit for the lag is the scrolling walls with the hearts and stars on them... You See, i am Stupid and dont know how to make proper effects in construct 2... and the tiled background object type which is good for the sort of repeated texture that is used in the game can Not be animated.. so in order to pull off the scrolling animation, i made a 32x32 object with a bunch of frames for the animation and just. Copied that object a billion times. so there are Thousands of instances of this object all across the level. so yeah, that is very bad and dumb of me and i probably couldve done something way better. idk.
overall, even if i didnt manage to fully go all the way with the level, im still really proud of what i managed to do with it and the level is really important to me. i think the only time ive managed to Somewhat surpass it so far was with the level in the demo for my game 'TREES' ADVENTURE', which i tried making just as large and open as this level, along with having tons of secrets. That level i will probably have to talk about another time, but for now i'll say that while it is probably one of my most polished and prettiest levels ive Ever made, i still wish i couldve done more with it and also it just doesn't have as much going on as Dreamscape Distance - Section 2 does.
so yea. dreamscape distance - section 2 is one of the most prettiest levels ive ever made and is absolutely massive. if you're a freak for Sonic CD like me, i dare you to play it and spend as much time as you want in it, exploring for all the secrets. it may not be a Whole lot, but you might find something really neat. i hope someday someone could appreciate the weird stuff ive made the same way i have, but also i'm just fine with having this level even exist. there isn't anything like it.
that's All, play unitres dreams on newgrounds dot com EHEHHEEHE !!

I Am Getting Tired Talking About the Designs
It is the main thing outside of Clois that I see talked about with My Adventures With Superman. I’ve even seen someone call the show’s style so far as ‘hyper realism’ because of how they’re doing the villain designs which... *stares at the person until holes bore into their skull* And here’s the thing: I don’t mind people complaining about the villains technically. The fact that both Livewire and Slade feel kind of samey next to each other doesn’t help the fact that the show is struggling to give its villains time to shine. They risk slipping into a territory where they feel there as a part of the mandate of this being a superhero show rather than interesting entities unto themselves and I’d be okay with people talking about that.
Or how about the fact that so far none have had a REALLY good or interesting fight with Superman so far? Ivo is the best on both fronts so far but otherwise we’ve see Clark grab someone’s fist before responding with an attack three times now and one of those was against a robot. The only one he hasn’t done it to is Livewire and she doesn’t exactly punch, does she?
I had my brother bitch at me yesterday, if you don’t want to talk about the villains, about Jimmy’s stuff needing a little more fleshing out if he’s suddenly going to be mopey about the two getting together, especially after pushing Clark and Lois towards each other at first. That isn’t an unfair complaint and even in my last review, for as much as I liked the episode, I still admitted there were issues and lacking payoffs, especially with Jimmy. There are issues. This isn’t a perfect show, though nothing should be perfect because perfect is boring. It probably does need to take a breath though because while it is shockingly well paced, it is juggling a lot at once and it is concerning for when one of the balls may drop.
But like... Unless they’re just fundamentally getting the character wrong with no chance for growing into their design, can we just stop bitching about them? Parasite from my knowledge was originally a dude who was fucked up by an experiment and went “Well, they can’t cure me so I guess I’m evil” which is way less interesting than actually having his personality and his personal goals be parasitic to some extent so that they match his powers thematically. I’ve heard Livewire is a cocky, annoying bitch. We all remember the “Smartest person here” banter, right? That bitch with real powers, and irreversible powers as was foreshadowed by her veins, is going to be INSUFFERABLE. And Slade? The fucker is twenty years younger, minimum, than his comic counterpart and has both eyes and his battle suit in the title sequence fits his aesthetics so maybe cut him some slack because his cocky attitude now is clearly setting up for a GLORIOUS fall.
Of course, this is all assuming the show does well by these characters but at least right now they definitely have potential to become like their comic counterparts, especially with the question of how Silver Banshee is getting her screams back after Clark broke her mask.
So unless you complaint is more than “I want them to look exactly like my comic books!” maybe let an adaptation be, you know, an adaptation. I mean, so far the show fits exactly how DC has marketed itself since... I dunno, from what I hear the New 52? Especially in television because *gestures at all the DC movies* so I might not be a comics guy but I absolutely see why DC was okay with this as the rights holder because this is EASILY the most interested I’ve been in literally ANY of Superman’s rogue’s gallery. And no, I’m not a comic book guy but I see people comparing the two and you know my response when people bring up the differences in design? Most of the time I’m curious. Like what is Siobhan like when she looks like some genetically altered mutant or just a straight up alien of some sort? What’s the backstory there? But I also enjoy the cocky, wanna be supervillain of Siobhan in the show with her glam rock hair and raspy voice.
But I will admit that I don’t know the pain of adaptation too well. The closest I’ve come is stuff like Guardians of Ga’Hoole (which frankly is a shockingly good movie for how much of a mess adapting that series to anything would be) and Percy Jackson, where I only bitched about Clarisse because making Annabethe Clarisse was both more boring and narratively pointless because Clarisse is KIND OF IMPORTANT to the second book of that series, bare minimum.
Nothing here strikes me like that and if you disagree... Let me know. I see adaptations like this as a chance to both enjoy something and learn but frankly, EVERYONE bitching about the designs and nothing else is just making me tired and that’s making me not want to learn which means afterwards, I won’t dig deeper which isn’t that what you want as a fellow fan of the character?

11 Years of I Dream of Twilight Sparkle & Plans for the near Future
Hey everyone! Just a message I wanted to make now that it’s been 11 years since I started the blog. I was going to have something special out for today, but I thought instead of simply delaying it for either as early as next week or sometime this month. Playing the Sonic Frontiers DLC among many other things got in the way of sharing what I wanted to do next in a manner fast enough to make it for the blog’s anniversery.
I should at least leave you all with this. I admit there’s not much left I have planned for the future of the blog that doesn’t depend on your asks/interaction to keep alive. I think Earnest Empathetic Change was the last lengthy story I have in mind. Anything else that comes after would likely be one-shots if at all. Although to assure you, that asks are very much still on the table.
Perhaps at the very least. I should share I plan to do next: There will be another timeskip coming, though it won’t be tied in with a story like EEC was. It’ll simply give an idea of where the IDOTS universe is by the time of The Last Problem’s own timeskip (The general idea is the same as in that episode, though there are some important differences too that I want to lay out).
The version of the characters from shortly after Season 9/Secrets of the Dragon’s Tear and the 10 year timeskip related to Earnest Empathetic change are still very much able to be asked if you’d prefer. You won’t be locked into getting answered by this coming timeskip if you feel the question works best for an earlier point in the timeline.
I would also like to tell you that a 3rd timeskip will eventually be shown too. Which I promise will be the last one. Although I don’t plan to show it until sometime next year. Hopefully earlier in the year rather than later. For the most part the timeskip coming this month will just get into more of a “Where are they now?” sort of thing. The timeskip in 2024 I may at the very least design a short story for. Other then that though, it’s really winding down to a real finale for the blog. But not in a way that permanently closes off the blog off to any asks/interaction. Asks have been slow anyway for years so it’s very possible that it may end up being a real finale anyway. But at some point, more I Dream of Twilight Sparkle stuff will count on all of you. As all that’s left is some feel-good stuff in the future for many characters.
The blog has lasted a long time, longer then a great many Pony ask blogs have. I’ve had a lot of fun and even if no more asks are ever sent. I want to say that I appreciate everyone who has ever sent an ask, collaborated, liked, reblogged, etc over the years. I hope in some ways I’m not entirely done even when I’ve laid out all the timeskips I want to do.
Remember that even if IDOTS ever grows too quiet for too long, I haven’t left Pony ask blogs completely. As I still want to try to get as much as I can through Geniequestria. But I Dream of Twilight Sparkle was where I started, it will always have a special place in my heart. I know Geniequestria’s not going to appeal to everyone who liked I Dream of Twilight Sparkle since its definitely much more geared to mature subjects. I didn’t want to abandon IDOTS completely just because I have Geniequestria now, as I feel that’s unfair to people who may not find Geniequestra to be their cup of tea.
It's just fairly obvious that I have more plans on Geniequestria currently then I do for I Dream of Twilight Sparkle. I feel I've told a majority of what I've wanted to tell on IDOTS, and I'm just getting started practically with Geniequestria (Although I am starting to be afraid the amount of ideas may take too long to ever get to before something happens that makes it difficult for me to continue doing ask blogs for much longer). However, I will always be open to doing something more for IDOTS if there's an ask/suggestion I'd love to do with it.
Remember that I did open a roleplay askblog not too long ago that's good for quicker answers in the iDOTS universe that doesn't take long to do anything with. That'll remain open for as long as I can.
One more reassurance that this is not a message about ending the blog entirely, but coming soon how much this blog gets updated may depend on you guys more than me heading into the coming year.
However uncertain the future is, I want to thank you all again for these 11 years. and I still look forward to my next post whether it's on here, Geniequestria, or elsewhere.

Tumblr media
Percy offered to drive the few of you that’d stayed in New York to San Francisco, so now you were piling up your bags in the back of his car.
Once you were seated in the backseat, Annabeth handed you a bag of chips and spread the map on the dashboard to help Percy navigate the confusing roads.
Next to you, Will, Piper, and Calypso were trying their best to be comfortable in the small space.
“I don’t know how are we expected to survive this two-day trip, my arms are already suffering,” you huffed.
“We’ll take turns,” Percy replied. “Don’t think I’ll be driving the whole time! I’m not your uber—”
“I don’t have a license,” Calypso responded with a bit of worry.
“Don’t worry, sunshine, we know,” you patted her arm to ease her.
This was Calypso’s first Halloween celebration with the whole group, she wasn’t a fan of scary stuff, but she was intrigued as to why all of you were so fond of it. She’d overheard you and Leo planning this year’s costumes, and she wanted to know what was so special about this week.
“I don’t have a license either,” Piper said.
“But you know how to drive a car,” you replied.
“No no no, I’m not letting anyone without a license drive my mom’s car,” Percy stated.
“And I’m not driving cause I’m the only one that knows how to read this,” Annabeth frowned at the sight of colorful lines on the paper. “I think.”
“Okay! So that leaves Percy, Y/N, and I as the designated drivers?” Will questioned.
Percy looked at you through the rearview mirror and grimaced, you were known to be an angry driver, but you were determined to do your best.
“I promise I won’t yell at other drivers,” you sighed tiredly.
"What about honking?” Percy added.
“I won’t do that either.”
“Good. Then yes, seems like it’s up to us three.”
“Yay,” Will and you said without real excitement.
“So,” Calypso rolled down her window. “What are we doing for a whole week? I thought Halloween was only one night?”
Piper grinned. “For most people, but last year Y/N infected all of us with the spooky fever and we spend a whole week planning and celebrating.”
“The Greeks had a similar celebration,” Annabeth added. “They used to put up some kind of altar and then food, and give each other sweet things to celebrate the lives of those who were no longer with them... something like that, but I’m not really sure, I haven’t read much on the subject.”
“So we’re doing a greek celebration in Camp Jupiter?” Calypso frowned.
“Oh no,” you laughed. “Frank offered to host the party last year, that’s all. Got nothing to do with who we are.”
“Yeah, last year Y/N and the others hosted the party at our camp,” Will explained. “So now it’s their turn to rest while Camp Jupiter does the preparations.”
“I don’t wanna rest, though,” you smirked. “I have plans.”
“Y/N...” Annabeth warned you.
“C’mon, it’s nothing terrible. What I meant is that I’ll be around seeing if they need help with anything.”
“If not we can always just go to our place and watch scary movies?” Percy offered. “We haven’t invited all of you at once to our apartment, that’d be cool, right?”
“Sure,” Annabeth’s eyes were already shining with the recognizable glint of plan-making. “I mean, Cal needs to catch up with all the classic scary movies, and the not-so-scary. What do you think?”
Calypso blushed, she tended to do that when overwhelmed. “As long as they’re not too disgusting or with... you know... I don’t know, guys. I’ve never watched a scary thing. What if I can’t take it? I might not be able to enjoy this as much as you do...”
Your heart ache for the girl, ever since Leo had gotten her out of the island she’d wanted nothing more than to fit in with all of you. She wanted friends, a community were to feel welcomed, and the perspective of not enjoying something that everyone else did was obviously making her uncomfortable.
“Hey, it’s not like we’ll kick you out of here if you don’t,” you tried to calm her. “Jason’s not a big fan of scary movies either, Hazel finds them upsetting too, and we don’t force them to watch them. If you think you’re not up for it I promise there will be no hard feelings.”
“Yeah, we can find something else for you,” Percy nodded, “maybe baking the spooky treats, Nico is going all out on that front. He keeps saying we didn’t do it right last year,” he said, a little of annoyance seeping through. Percy was touchy about people judging his taste in snacks. “Or decorating, I heard Leo’s finally on duty this year!”
“Yeah, he begged Hazel and Frank to let him help, that’s why he left a day early,” you smiled, “I wanted to go too, but I had to pick up Calypso from the Waystation.”
“Point is, our Halloween has many interesting, fun stuff going on, you’ll find one that’s right for you,” Piper finished, squeezing Calypso’s hand in a friendly manner.
“Okay,” the former goddess smiled, looking in a better mood.
“Don’t worry, Cal,” you said, barely able to stop yourself from squirming out of pure excitement in your seat. “It’s going to be the best week of the year!”

Cass and Chrys Get More Serious: A Mini Vacation to Buck's
Cass shows up at her door to pick her up. They haven't talked about the kiss at all and they haven't seen each other since either. She opens her door and the first thing he blurts out is: Ca: "How much do you like balls? There's one coming up and I don't have a date..." Ch: *chuckles* "Let's see how a road trip and cards with the friends goes first before I go making commitments like that. I don't love parties and playing dress up. But, I enjoy spending time with you, so I'll consider it." They start walking. Chrys doesn't have any bags, Cass told her not to pack anything. Ca: "Great! Don't worry about getting a dress or anything. You can meet with one of our designers and they'll give you a dress, and it's all on the government's dime." Ch: "*Maybe* is not *yes*." But she's highly considering going and she can't help but smile because he's all cute and excited. Cassio stops walking. "What?" Ca: "You just have the most beautiful smile I've ever seen."*ahem* "Anyways, it's not that big of a deal. It's not like I'm proposing. - oh turn here -" They turn the corner and stop in view of Cassio's ship. Chrys doesn't say anything she just stands there gaping for a moment and then they continue walking. Cassio bashfully just says, "Like I said, the government pays me way too much money. I try to get rid of any extra money I have. And it's not me being a good guy, that's me not being able to look at money I got because I killed people. So I give a lot of it to relief charities and stuff. I also hire staff that I don't really need, and I pay them too much. But if it gets the money away from me..." Chrys stops them this time and puts her hand on his arm. Ch: "Hey. It's still a good thing you're doing. People are doing better because of it." They continue walking and get on board. Cass starts pointing various places. Ca: "Down that way is the bridge/pilot's deck. If you take the stairs down and go that same direction you'll end up in the dining room. Head this other way and you'll hit cabins. I'm at the very end of the hall, that one's always mine. The other three are guest rooms so you can pick any one of them, or all three- I don't mind. If you head down the stairs and down the same way you'll hit employee cabins. I would leave them alone. There is generally always someone around to get you what you want. If they're in there, they're on break and shouldn't be disturbed. If you can't find anyone, come bug me. I'll probably be awake anyways. If you head up the stairs, towards the bridge is a viewing deck/lounge, and the opposite direction are entertainment rooms. There's a game room, a tv/movie room, a small office/library that you are welcome to use, and a gym with an attached dance studio." Chrys looked at him for that last one. "I don't dance," he chuckled, "you don't want to see me dance. It's for my employees, they also use those areas. If they're not in uniform, try not to bug them. I'll introduce you to anyone we run into, but they're not even expected on ship for another hour or so. Do you want help getting set up? It can be mildly confusing." She just nods. Ch: "mmhmm. Yes, please. This is mildly intimidating. The last time I lived with so many people was when I was living in the Temple." She hadn't stopped walking down the hall, she sort of spaced out until they hit the end of the hall. Ca: "Does this mean you're choosing the last room? Or you're trying to get into my room?" Ch: "I'm a little brain fried so I'm going to say yes." Cass chuckles. Ca: "Okay let's get you set up first. The door doesn't have a code on it rn, so you can set one. You deserve some privacy even though it's my ship. You deserve privacy *especially* because it's my ship. Anyways," they walk in, "That's the bed, obviously. Desk, chest, tv, closet. The closet already has clothes in it. They should fit you." Chrys looked at him, "I may have taken the liberty of looking at the sizes on the laundry you had folded but hadn't put away. They were just sitting there. Sorry." He started heading out in a 'I'll give you your privacy' way. Chrys kept talking to him as he was walking. Ch: "Huh. I mean I guess I can't blame you because it's been drilled into your body." Cass sighed out of relief internally, but Chrys whipped out a girly joking voice."I'm sure it didn't help that they were the clothes of the *~*girl of your dreams who you're deeply in love with*~*" Chrys was joking, but she also knew he was a little bit interested in her. Ca: "I mean, you're not entirely wrong." At this point he had reached the door, because the cabin wasn't *that* big, and he stopped at the entry way. Ch: "Oh? and what was I wrong about?" Cassio turned around and looked right into her ever-changing eyes. Ca: "I could never in a million years dream up a girl as perfect as you." There was no trace of mockery or a joke on his face. He just gave her one of his very tailored sexy smiles and sauntered out of her room and straight into his.

1 - When was the last time you spent over $100 in one transaction? What did you buy? Around a month ago when I bought my Dunks. I wanted to have nice shoes for my holiday, but it was also to give a subtle fuck you to my Nike-competitor client since they’re turning out to be my least favorite client.
2 - Do you sleep with a stuffed animal? Would you judge a grown adult for doing so? I guess BT21 plushies count as stuffed animals, yeah? And no, I wouldn’t judge at all. I don’t care for the most part how people live their lives.
3 - Would you describe yourself as fashion-conscious, or do you just wear whatever feels comfortable? Hm, I’m pretty conscious. I like to look good. Some days I’ll be tempted to just go the comfy route, but then I’ll change my mind once I look in the mirror and see that my top and bottom don’t match. 4 - The last time you got up from where you’re sitting, where did you go and what did you do? I went from the living room to my bedroom since I wanted to have a bit of me time with the rain before I need to start working tonight.
5 - Would you rather read an erotic novel or watch an erotic film? Read.
6 - Who taught you how to tell the time on a proper analogue clock? It may have been my older cousin.
7 - What’s your favourite way to make your home smell good? Do you spend a lot of money on making this happen? I don’t invest in this kind of stuff, tbh. I’ve used a scented candle once or twice but I’ve never held on to it as a habit.
8 - How long have you had the computer/tablet you’re currently using? Does it need replacing or upgrading? I’ve had this trusty laptop since 2017, so it’s been over six years. It definitely needs upgrading if we’re being technical – I’ve since stopped receiving Chrome updates for it – but since I only ever open this anymore to take surveys, I’m not in a hurry to replace it anytime soon.
9 - When you’re home alone, do you make sure all your doors are kept locked? Only in the evening when I turn in. Otherwise, I don’t mind keeping the doors open during the day. I live in a safe, private neighborhood and everyone minds their own business. 10  - How often do you light candles? Do you just like regular ones or do  you prefer scented ones or ones that make pretty patterns when they melt? Never. The only ones I’ve used have been gifts, too. 11 - Are you any good at taking care of plants? Nope. They never last with me.
12 - How many surveys have you taken so far today? Will you take anymore surveys today once you’ve finished this one? This is my first one today; I’m not sure if I’ll take any more after this. If I do, I’m guessing around one or two more before it starts to feel tiresome. 13 - What are the main two colours in the room you’re currently in? Did you pick these colours out yourself? White and brown. Sure.
14 - What was the last hot drink you consumed? What about cold drink? I had hot milk tea in Malaysia – apparently they like their milk tea hot! Pretty unique experience. As for cold drink, I’m having iced coffee right now.
15 - Do you have piercings anywhere except your ears? How many and what are they? Nope, you got it right with just ears.
16 - Do you prefer taking baths or showers? How come? Showers because 1) we don’t have a bathtub, and 2) starting a bath is just too much work for me lol. It’s also like, you need time to fill it up, then you just sit in your own dirt and stuff. Not really a fan.
17 - What time do you need to wake up tomorrow morning? What is it that you have to be up for? 9 AM at the latest – work.
18 - If you work, how often do you get paid? Would you prefer to get paid more or less often? Every two weeks. I’m fine with the length; I learn how to budget from it.
19 - What does your favourite pair of pyjamas look like? Do you wear them to sleep or just to be comfy around the house? It’s purple and has a checkered design. Yes, I just wear it in the evening when I’m about to sleep.
20 - How often do you wake up in the night needing a pee? That never happens as I stay up long enough to sleep through the entire night, anyway.
21 - What apps do you use the most on your phone? Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and Reddit.
22 - Do you prefer cats or dogs? Do you own any of either? I like dogs; yes, we have two.
23 - Do you have one of those fridges that has an ice-maker in the front? If not, would you find one useful? We don’t have an ice-maker, and I have no immediate need for one.
24 - Do you like wearing hats? What’s your favourite style? Yes, I have several bucket hats.
25  - If you live in a household with pets, who is responsible for their care - both in terms of finance and the physical tasks involved? Back then with Kimi I used to be the all-around parent, from feeding him, cleaning up after him, bathing him, to paying for vet visits. With Cooper and Agi, my sister and I split – I pay for anything that needs to be paid, my sister feeds them.
26 - What’s your opinion on leggings as pants? Whatever?
27 - Have you ever driven in bare feet or do you think that’s too dangerous? That’s...so unusual. Literally nobody does that around here.
28 - Have you ever walked out of a job before? What were the circumstances and did you ever go back? Nope.
29 - Do you collect anything? Are these things worth money or are they practical/sentimental items? Just K-pop merch. They are both.
30 - Do you have anything hanging from your ceiling apart from lights? Nopes.

And then it all went merrily to hell...
Never congratulate yourself.  It always ends in tears.
So two days -- two days -- after posting that last post from my phone because I was just so goddamned happy to be writing again ...
I have a day job.  It’s not much of a day job as I work 40 hours a week and yet do not make enough to cover all my bills of a month.  Despite proving this twice to the State of Tennessee, I have been rejected for food stamps twice.  It’s now a daily (er, weekly?) occurrence that I get my paycheck, go to get groceries, then the next week I’m overdrawn and cannot get groceries for the second week because the only things I have spent money on are literally utility bills... So yeah, I’m now going through the house designating stuff to be sold on Ebay.  Geez I thought I left off staring at auction screens the last time I logged off WoW.  I still savor the irony that I was a very successful and wealthy Gnome in WoW and I’m literally a step away from destitution in real life.  I blame not being able to wander through my neighbors’ yards ripping up handfuls of plants to be sold to the highest bidder.  But I digress.
Anyway.  So Wednesday, I logged on to work.  I work at home, btw.  So, logged on.  Immediately pulled into private chat by my supervisor.  I was told that the company is no longer doing back office work, and the work I’m currently doing is ending.  I am given a choice -- phone work, or my last day is December 9th.
I did phone work when I first signed on to this outfit.  I was customer service for TurboTax, during tax season.  With a camera aimed at my face.  Involving a very complex system that I had to learn to proficiency in 2 weeks.  While trying to understand and deal with often upset and angry people for eight hours a day.
When I was moved off that, I made it extremely clear to my supervisor I would not do phone work again.  And to be fair, they honored that by putting me on my current job, essentially doing back office data entry.  At the time I was not as aware as I am now of my various autistic problems, but I knew that I did not need to be on the verge of tears every moment I was logged in to that system.  I can’t keep up with what people are saying, often I cannot understand them over the phone, and having to deal with a computer system that I likely only vaguely understand and for which any mistake could get me fired at any moment, well...
And to top it all off, no one else in my group has been told this.  So it looks like I’ve been targeted.  Do a job you cannot handle, or be laid off.  And since I would have refused a reasonable job offer, I would not be eligible for unemployment.
Mind you, for a job that pays so little it doesn’t pay all my bills.
So I said yes.  Because what choice was I given?  I have such a difficult time getting a job at all that I stay because I may be out of work for months or even years even in this “we’re hiring everybody” job climate.  Because I’m so bad at the socialness of getting a job that I am never hired.  Why did I stay with the Post Office for 23 years, through documented abuse and racism, manipulation and exploitation?  Because I knew I’d never get another decent job.
And for all the current pro-Union sentiment going around, the American Postal Workers Union never, in all those 23 years, helped me to improve those situations.  They told me to destroy evidence of abuse, they stood by and did absolutely nothing when their own steward was ringleading the abuse in another case, and didn’t bother to show up to adjudicate an arbitration where I could prove hands down I was in the right.  Bless the kids at Starbucks and Amazon and wherever else, I hope you guys can do it better, but unions are useless parasites as far as I’m concerned.
The point is, I was given no choice but to accept a job that I am not suited for, which will cause me stresses I am not equipped to deal with, for far less than a living wage.
I’ve started putting in applications again online.  Likely nothing will come of it, and if anything does I won’t make it past the first interview.  But at the very least I stick up for myself a bit more than I used to.  That’s something, isn’t it?  I may not react quickly, but at least these days I react.  Eventually.
I wish... I wish a lot of things.  I wish I’d had some kind of gumption at some point in my life to learn an actual trade.  I’ve never had any ambition or urge to learn ... oh, you know, programming or truck driving or plumbing or what have you.  I can type.  I type damned fast, to be honest, and very accurately.  I’ve tried to learn various things at various times, I’ve got CompTIA’s A+ and Network+ certifications from 2013 because at the time I was aiming to get a job doing computer tech work.  But it never went anywhere.  It’s like the dots just don’t connect somewhere in my head.  Like the Underpants Gnomes joke, Step 1 Do this thing + ???? = Step 3 Profit!  I never have been able to figure out the ????.
And now I’m 53 goddamned years old and I keep wondering if it’s possible to get PTSD from repeatedly being manipulated and exploited for the past several decades.  And why do I never have a case against these motherfuckers so I can finally sue somebody into the middle of next week for what they’ve done to me.
So after that little “talk” I went back to work.  Because of course you do.  I have to work.  I can’t afford to take a day off.  I spent the rest of Wednesday crying and nauseous.  And got only four hours of sleep the night after.
On top of the thing with my idiot cousin the weekend before, I just... I’m just done, ya’know?
But after work, despite it all, not every night but a couple nights since, I’ve turned on my own machine.  I’ve loaded my notes, fired up my writing music, looked at my character photos, and dreamed of another world.  Until this one is done, I’m stuck here.  Until then it’s not The End.

Twitter Raffle Prizes | Commission Alts | Major Updates (9/28/22)
I know it’s roughly been 3 months since I last posted anything, but a lot of stuff happened and I wanted to make sure I had something done before I give out all the big news.
Getting the content stuff out of the way first: I’m proud to say that we’ve reached the threshold of reaching 400 followers on Twitter. We’ve already put up an art raffle to celebrate everyone’s support thus far, which was one of the reasons we took so long to update, but they’ve finally been finished.
First place prize full body prize goes to LewdSabby, featuring their FF14 Au Ra OC Igna. (an MMO I really wanna play at some point.) This one took a lot of attention for since there were so many details to work with, which may or may not be a blessing for my artistic mind. lol
Tumblr media
Second place half body prize goes to Winfrfx of March 7th, a character from the MMO Honkai: Star Rail, which was made by the same people behind Genshin Impact.
Tumblr media
And the third place headshot goes to DrCoeloCephalo of Waluigi. I’m pretty sure this was actually my first time drawing this character despite me drawing Mario related stuff for so long. Maybe I should do an art challenge around the Mario universe as a practice of sorts. lol
Tumblr media
In terms of other thresholds, we’re just close to reaching 200 on DeviantArt, while sites like Youtube and Instagram are at the half way point of the same amount. The Facebook page on the other hand still seems to be going strong with almost at around 500, even though it hasn’t been used as much. Regardless of which platform though; every bit of your support really counts, so the more people aware of our stuff, the better the support! Thank you all for really taking your time to appreciate the work we do and we hope to continue doing so, wether it’d be the art or videos we make.

Now onto some of the important stuff. As of recently, we’ve decided to temporarily close our commissions for a little while. Reasons why is mainly because of PayPal. How so? About a week ago, they’ve decided to update their terms of service to where if you use them on connected platforms like Patreon and Ko-Fi, they will use bots to scan those sitesto prove you’re not doing any malicious means. Which is why I changed the title for the tier $3 subscription.
Thankfully they didn’t came after me since I barely make any big profits with PayPal, but it’s been affecting a lot of NSFW and big artists as of lately. As a precaution, we’ve decided we’re going to update our commission T.o.S. by expanding our payment options to services like Stripe and Cash App as alternates. Once we’ve taken care of other behind the scenes stuff, our commission sheets will be updated with these new services in mind. (As well as future options like the prices for character stills and comics.)
Tumblr media
Another big change that happened lately is Clip Studio’s new subscription servicethey’ve started. If you’re wondering my thoughts about it… I’m not gonna bother with it and stick with the old version I have. Chances are if they will eventually stop the updates for the old version and the program will no longer works on my MacBook (which roughly seems to get updates at least almost monthly), I’ll look into using Krita as an alternative for when that case comes. (Lord knows I’m not going back to Affinity Designer!)
_____________________________________
Livestreams are also gonna be closed for a while now, mainly because I’ve finally gotten back to work on my part time babysitting job and its been paying my time greatly. It also gave me a lot of time to reflect on how miserable I was, just sitting at home and barely making a weekly profit and a crappy powerpoint performance with barely any recognition at all.
Blue will still be around the livestream area from time to time collabing with other creators, but in terms of streaming on our end, everything will be on hold ’till we eventually find free days or upgrade to an actually gaming PC overall.
Other content in terms of videos are still gonna be a thing every once in a while. As of now, we’ve been recording footage for a Dragalia Lost video that’ll be made in the future. We’ve also already started our script for the Fire Emblem Awaking review, and we still plan to do more voice reels, speedpaints, and gaming highlights as well. (Especially the latter one, we’ve got so a handful of titles that’ll make for great compilations.) We’ve also managed our money to buy FL Studio as of recently, so you may expect a slight improvement for future voice reels and other audio related stuff. ;3
_____________________________________
So yeah, these past few months have been really helping me get on the right track. I will say this year had been nothing but rough on my mental health due to personal issues; but now that I’m getting paid well and buying more things again, there’s now a brighter outlook coming towards the end. Let’s hope for more silver linings to come my way. I want to be at my best, not just by creating, but attitude overall. I won’t let you all down!

Finders Keepers
Tumblr media
A/N:  It’s been ages since I’ve written anything, so I figured it was about time I got back into it!  Hope you enjoy, any feedback is appreciated :) Warnings: None Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader Word Count: 2.7K
“What’s wrong with you, Pretty Boy?” Morgan questioned as Spencer rushed into the BAU Tuesday morning, fingers threading through his curls and a look of pure agitation gracing his features.  As if he didn’t hear the question directed towards him, Spencer continued to storm through the room, nearly stumbling into Morgan in his quest to reach his desk.
Pupils dilating, Morgan looked towards JJ who had taken stock of the scene from her chair, brows already furrowed and legs moving to stand and head towards her fellow colleague.
Taking the lead, JJ swiftly headed to Spencer’s side, moving to place a hand on his shoulder before thinking better of it and placing both hands on the edge of his desk instead, Mama Bear instincts dialed all the way up.  “Everything okay, Spence?  You seem annoyed.”
Morgan scoffed before thinking better of it, “I’d say he’s a bit more than annoyed, JJ”.  No sooner than the words had left his mouth he was given a swift elbow in his side from JJ and an eye roll from Spencer and all that was left for Morgan to do was raise his hands in defeat.
Sighing, Spencer turned back to his desk before mumbling a response back to them, “I’m fine, guys.  I think I lost my copy of War and Peace on the Metro this morning.  It was in my bag when I left my place, it must have fallen out when I was trying to grab my umbrella.  I thought maybe I just forgot and left it here, but apparently not”.
“You and I both know you don’t forget anything, Pretty Boy,” Morgan chimed in, visibly less tense now that he knew there wasn’t any immediate danger.
“Actually Morgan that’s not entirely true.  I have an eidetic memory which means-”
“There’s the Reid we all know and love,” JJ chuckled, heading back to her desk to get ready for the day ahead of them.  Morgan followed, leaving the bullpen in search of Garcia and Spencer sighed, trying to move past the fact that one of his favorite books was no longer in his possession.  Logically, he knew he could buy a replacement copy after work, but deep down he knew it wasn’t the same.
The words dancing across the page would be the same ones that brought him entertainment and the comfort found in familiarity throughout his life, but the book within his hands wouldn’t hold the same nostalgic memories.  He wouldn’t look down at the tattered cover and reminisce on his first jet ride with the BAU, thinking back on how he brushed his fingers against the book’s familiar spine while trying to calm his stomach filled with nervous jitters at the prospect of working with unfamiliar people.  He wouldn’t look at the dog-eared pages and remember how the words on those exact pages brought him comfort on nights he would escape to his bedroom and try to leave memories of aggressive classmates and whispering peers behind.
Any thought of potentially buying a new copy of the book after the workday was dispelled though as Garcia called everyone into the conference room to discuss a pending case in Phoenix, no sooner followed by a “wheels up in thirty” announcement from Hotch.  Grabbing his go-bag and leaving the bullpen, Spencer filled his head with thoughts of the case, half of his brain racing ahead to connect victimology and significant locations while the other half was stuck repeating a never-ending mantra of “it’s just a book” in the back of his mind.
***
As Spencer was boarding a jet to head 468 miles north, Y/N was playing with a loose thread on her sweater, thinking about the long day of work ahead of her.  Breaking her trance, she looked up and instead glanced up at the now empty row of seats in front of her.  Her brows furrowed as she saw a book stuck in the crack between the far left seat cushion and the back of the chair, and before she knew it her curiosity overtook her.  Y/N found herself standing from the seat, travel mug and bag in tow, before reaching for the dictionary-like book that was calling to her.  The title War and Peace glared back at her, and a quick turn of the cover revealed faded words written in blue ink proclaiming that the book was the “Property of Spencer Reid”.   With the announcement of her stop blaring over the loudspeaker and the weight of someone else’s book in their hand, Y/N made a split second decision to stuff the book into her bag, leaving the Metro with not only thoughts of the upcoming workday but visions of whom the mysterious Spencer Reid could be.
The workday passed by slowly, each passing second filled with the overwhelming desire to search for Spencer Reid on Google.  By the time Y/N was on the Metro ride home, any and all motivation to search for the book’s rightful owner went out the door as her irritation grew with the rising heat of the increasingly packed subway car.  Needing a distraction, her hand reached into her bag, initially moving for her cell phone but making a last second switch as her hand brushed the spine of the book.  May as well spend my time doing something productive, she thought as she gently pulled the book out of it’s temporary home.  With a final sigh, she turned to the first page and began to read.
As Y/N was tearing through the pages of War and Peace at an alarmingly quicker rate than she anticipated that night, Spencer was filling out a WMTA lost and found form in the hopes that someone had the decency to return his book.  Knowing his luck, he assumed it was long gone and in the trash somewhere, but he figured it wouldn’t hurt to make one last ditch effort at finding it.  Groaning, Spencer called it a night and went to bed, silently vowing to find his book the second he stepped foot off the BAU jet again.
***
Six days later the BAU team landed in Quantico, making plans to head to a bar for a drink before a well deserved day off.  As designated drivers were assigned and phone calls home were made Spencer gathered his things, making a beeline to the door in the hopes of reaching the WMTA’s designated lost and found area before it closed for the night.  He was a foot away from the door before a soft hand grasped his wrist, immediately stopping him in his tracks.
“Skipping out on the bar tonight, Reid?” Emily questioned, head tilted as she noticed how frazzled her friend was.
“I’m just gonna go home and watch a bit of Dr.Who” Spencer began, desperately trying to think of something that would let him out the door without further questions.  “Speaking of Dr. Who, did you know that it was originally created to be an educational show for kids?  It’s actually really interesting-”
“Say no more, Dr. Reid,” Emily laughed, letting go of his wrist and heading back towards the others, “enjoy your night”.  Spencer tightly smiled, leaving the bullpen and making his way to downtown DC in search of his book.  An hour later and he wasn’t any closer to finding his book, ultimately giving up and heading to the bookstore to buy himself another copy.
It was at that same time JJ and Derek found themselves hysterically laughing at a corner booth in the bar, thinking about how Spencer probably missed out on meeting the love of his life that night- a woman sitting in the booth directly across from them, War and Peace open on the table in front of her and a pen and highlighter busy at work marking up post its that were being meticulously placed on the book’s pages.
***
A month and a half went by and Spencer had officially given up hope on finding his lost book.  In the six weeks since he had last seen it he refrained from reading his new copy, not willing to give up the small amount of hope he had that he would be reunited with his original book.  That evening though, as the Metro had yet another delay and the subway car continued to get hotter and hotter, he figured there was no better time than the present and pulled out his new copy of War and Peace.  A few pages in, a sudden jolt of the car made him glance up and almost immediately he locked eyes with the woman across from him.  In the span of ten seconds, his thoughts ranged from she’s beautiful to hold on- she’s holding my book and before his legs fully alerted his brain what was happening he found himself on his feet and sitting in the empty seat directly next to her.
As Spencer’s brain began to register just how bad of an idea it was to sit next to a stranger as abruptly as he just did, the woman next to him gripped her bag slightly tighter, tilting her head to the side as she peaked a look at the man next to her.
Her mouth opened to speak, but before she could do so Spencer interrupted her, desperately trying to save himself from any embarrassment her words could bring.
“That’s my book,” he bluntly stated, mentally hitting himself as he watched her adorably confused features morph into a look of defense.
“No.. that’s your book,” she pointed down to his lap, where his new copy of War and Peace was resting between his palms.
“No it’s not- well, it is but it isn’t really?” Spencer tried to explain, his face growing more and more red with each word that left his mouth.
“So it’s your book, but not your book?” She questioned, lips curling up into a slight smile as she witnessed the sweet agitation of the man in front of her.
“Yes!  I lost my book on the metro almost two months ago.  This is just my replacement copy, and I don’t know how I know, but I’m positive the book in your hands right now is the one that I lost.”  Spencer finished his spiel, watching as the woman’s eyes widened in realization and her mouth formed an “o” shape.
“You’re Spencer Reid?” she asked, and now it was his turn to play the part of the confused companion.
“I- yes? But, how do you know my name?” As soon as the question left his mouth the image of the title page of his book filled his head and all too soon he was practically yelling with joy in the poor woman’s face.  “Wait, that is my book then!  Does it say Property of Spencer Reid on the cover page?”
The woman laughed, and Spencer watched as any traces of tension left her body.  “I’m so sorry!  I found it on the Metro on my way to work, and I meant to look you up- not in a creepy way,” she continued, growing more flustered with each passing second.  “I was gonna try and find you to return it but then I started reading it and I liked it more than I thought I would and I just,” She stooped, taking a breath and giving him the most adorable set of puppy dog eyes he’s ever seen.  “I’m just really sorry, I shouldn’t have held onto it as long as I did”.  She finished, and held the book up, holding it out towards Spencer’s hands.  “I think this belongs to you”.
“It’s not a problem at all, I promise,” Spencer reassured her with a warm smile on his face, “thanks for keeping it safe”.  Something about her filled his stomach with joy, and as he looked at her he saw a similar smile mirrored back at him.  It was at that moment he knew he would do anything to keep that look of happiness on her face, stranger or not.  “You know what,” he continued, “you should keep it- finders keepers and all that”.
Y/N laughed in disbelief, immediately shaking her head and pushing the book closer to its rightful owner.  “It’s bad enough I’ve had it this long,” she admitted.  “It belongs with you”.
“At least take this one then?”  Spencer’s brain continued to be a few steps ahead of him, and before he knew it he was taking the book in the stranger’s outstretched hands and placing his new copy in her grasp.  “It looks like you still have a hundred pages or so left and I wouldn’t want to keep you from finishing it.  Besides, I definitely don’t need two copies”.
The woman smiled and gave him an enthusiastic nod, and Spencer couldn’t help but think he just made the best decision of his life.  The speaker above them announced the next stop, and with a sudden jump she left her seat, discarding the new book into her bag and turning towards Spencer on her way to the door.  “Thanks, Spencer!” she exclaimed, “maybe I’ll see you around sometime”.  Another smile was sent his way, and before he earned up the nerve to ask for her name she was gone, disappearing into a growing crowd of commuters desperate to get back to the comfort of their homes and begin the weekend ahead.
***
The following morning, Spencer found himself in his living room with a mug of coffee in his hand, completely lost in his thoughts.  He was trying to calculate the chances of seeing the mystery woman again, considering it took six weeks after losing his book to see her for the first time at all.
He groaned, inwardly cursing himself for his lack of courage the day before and wishing he at least had a name to match to the face that wouldn’t leave his mind.  As the coffee cooled, he found his gaze wandering to the coffee table where he had laid the book and his satchel the previous night.  With a sigh, Spencer picked up the book only to notice a bright orange post-it sticking out of one of the pages.
“The strongest of all warriors are these two- time and patience” was written in loopy writing, highlighted in yellow with exactly twelve exclamation points in red ink under it.  He was a man of science, but he couldn’t help but feel as though finding one of his favorite quotes from the novel staring up at him was a sign.
As he continued to skim the pages, he found note after note filled with quotes, reactions, and doodles and he couldn’t help but feel a twinge of admiration for the stranger who put them all there.  It was a book that held countless memories for Spencer, but already he could tell that this was going to be his ultimate favorite.
Backtracking to the front page, Spencer saw his familiar scrawl had been slightly covered by a light blue post it note.  “If this book gets lost a second time I don’t want to make the same mistake as the first guy… please call Y/N at-” Spencer laughed, immediately grabbing his phone to dial the number before he has time to talk himself out of it.
As the phone began to ring, he thought about how he couldn’t picture her name being anything else.  It was as beautiful as she was, and he longed to properly meet the woman who managed to get his heart racing with just a few post-it notes.
“Hello?” the voice on the other end of his phone answered, and Spencer could immediately tell it was the same woman from the subway.
“Hi, is this Y/N?” he began, fingers nervously twiddling together.  At her hum of acknowledgement he continues, “This is Spencer, the guy who’s book you had?  I was just looking through the post-its you left behind and I love the perspective you have on the book.  Plus, it was so nice of you to even hold onto it in the first place so I was wondering if you’d wanna get coffee, maybe?  So I can say thank you for everything and talk about the book with you?”
The opposite end of the phone was silent and Spencer’s face grew red, his hands moving to his hair because how could he possibly think she wanted to meet him, she didn’t even know him and-
“I was hoping you’d find that post-it note,” she giggled, and with the sound all of Spencer’s worries completely washed away.  “Absolutely”.

Elden Ring Ruminations
Tumblr media
Having devoted a little over forty hours to Elden Ring, I think that I’m a bit qualified, or ready, to give word to some thoughts I’ve been having about it, with full awareness that these thoughts are initial impressions, and may (and likely will) change over the months and years, perhaps dramatically.
At the moment, Elden Ring feels like a sort of grab-bag. I don't mind this! -- but it’s not expressing a very strong identity to me. Nearly every part seems to ask for a comparison to something else, internal or external to FromSoftware’s catalogue. It is strange, somehow, to see things dragged straight out of Dark Souls 3 and tweaked just a bit, like the giant crabs, skeletons, dogs, imps, or Stray Demon (here taking the form of the Erdtree Avatar). For me, this goes past the level of certain games sharing a sound effect for enemy executions, or certain ambient audio. Environmentally, too, there are a number of carryovers; and, as someone who’s worked on a project documenting the architectural attributes of these games, I can say that this was a super rare occurrence among the stuff preceding Elden Ring.
Future discussions about Elden Ring might have to contend with what here is idiomatic, exactly, and how that’s serving the material, the underlying myth (there is, of course, also a practical dimension here; recycling assets can be a time-effective strategy), beyond its own reinforcement. It was easier to understand resemblances between the Dark Souls series, given its tripartite nature; and it came to be understood that a small set of things -- Patches, the Moonlight Greatsword -- had a more or less permanent place within the bigger picture. Here, these commonalities have rather the quality of a movie whose director has reassembled actors from all of their prior movies for a last hurrah, or sentimental recapitulation (I am reminded of Tim Rogers’ defense of Akira Toriyama’s character designs, specifically for the Dragon Quest series, by referring to them as the same actors in different outfits), if this or that archetypal formality can be characterized as an “actor.” Even names resurface with an explicitness exceeding the bisyllabic Lo-prefixed words (Lordran, Londo, Loran, Lothric) of before: the Church of Irith (as in Irithyll), for example, or Gael Tunnel (as in Slave Knight Gael).
At first blush, upon my exiting of the introductory catacomb area, what Elden Ring reminded me of was, unexpectedly, Evergrace. It was, I think, due to that mixture of a greenish sky and autumnal trees. As I continued to play, this raw impression was replaced by another more sustaining one: that this was -- irrespective of all those things linking it to Demon’s Souls, the Dark Souls trilogy, Bloodborne, or Sekiro -- like a merging of Dragon’s Dogma and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (cited as one of Miyazaki’s favorite videogames). I understand that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild may be the most common point for comparison, given its comparatively recent release date; but the spirit of Dragon’s Dogma¹ and Oblivion could not be plainer to me when I am, respectively, exploring a goblin-infested seaside cave with a group of helpers, or plucking glowingly colorful plants while atop my horse during a tree-buffeting rainstorm. These may sound like at once vague and over-particular citations, yet they do stretch out to encompass a long-term resemblance which escapes a mechanical explanation, and is more along the lines of an ambiently experienced “game feel” that includes details like the dun-gold coloration of stone from your lantern and the sight of masses of swaying foliage.
At some moments, the game has suddenly impressed on me this sense that it is, somehow, the return of what Dark Souls 2 was "originally", before it became what we know -- an odd impression, since this original form of Dark Souls 2 is largely an imaginary construct (that modders have chased, tantalized by its fragrant traces and infinite distance, for years). Stormveil Castle, for example, comes across as a bigger and fleshed out Forest of the Fallen Giants; and the design of a gauntlet like the Fringefolk Hero’s Grave, where a giant mobile mechanism chases you down a recessed route, has that hard-to-name videogame-y vibe that’s cold, bizarre, and vaguely comical. But then there are all of the other obvious cross-intrusions, like the (Oblivion-inflected) reinterpretation of what Bloodborne’s chalice dungeons could be, or the desire to continue certain environmental thematic combinations: academies and crystals, roots and swamps, storms and mausoleums, etc.
Tumblr media
Present, maybe more than ever before, is that manner of disposition which I described in an article from 2016 with reference to the genre of “world landscape” painting: “...the scope is enormous, yet we can cleanly segregate this scope because each landmark or scene is given its own delineated space.” Indeed, Elden Ring’s scope is enormous, beyond any previous FromSoftware title. Rather than give its world a “naturalistic” bent, this scope frequently appears uncanny. Between the various qualities of daylight and the way everything is dedicatedly laid out, there is the impression of a diorama. What also comes to mind are select pieces of unrealized concept art from Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, and Dark Souls 3, the landscapes of which are visibly fractured, extensive, and loosely organized -- “apocalyptic”, to use a word inaccurately, but still, I think, understandably. Each of these visions remained strictly conceptual, until Elden Ring granted their kind life.
Elden Ring’s pedigree is an obvious reason to play it. That alone can’t support what seems like it’ll be a 100+-hours playtime, though. What has appeared to be engaging my main interest is wanting to determine the landscape’s vastness, to see how much there is (in this respect, I can’t help but bring a measure of skepticism to the extremely high scores the game has been getting and wonder if that’s not partially because it’s satisfying a demand for Maximum Content). Although this is fun, my absorption of environments’ constitutions is less concentrated, or attention-directed. It is impressive to is go to a place like Stormveil Castle or the Academy of Raya Lucaria, exploring, exiting, viewing the complex from afar, and seeing how all of its enormity is still but a fraction of the land. This dynamic contains the subjunctive element which I’ve written on before, with the added novelty that the sheer horizontal scale now explodes the sensibility very broadly . . . and maybe makes it a little less particularly interesting. Perhaps this was unavoidable. The majority of Elden Ring’s geography is “open world.” If it were all as tightly designed as the strongholds or dungeons, the game would just be fatiguingly overwhelming (and I don’t think any developmental team could realistically be up to the task of designing such a quantity of level design anyway). So, the overworld partly acts as a stretched-out breather, a pacing device; yet I’m not sure how often I’ll be returning to a game that’s as gigantic as this.
As far as the unavoidable matter of challenge goes, I’m sort of stuck, a little deflatedly, on the same place as I was upon the release of Dark Souls 3′s DLC where I could appreciate the intensifying behavioral complexity and dangerousness of mid-range and major opponents while also seeing how they were all pushing the limits for what had already been done with ambiguous mix-ups, the number of sequential strikes, and wide-range attacks. Sekiro I deeply enjoyed failing at for hours and rigorously learning -- and I had to learn it, because there was no co-op! Elden Ring, on the other hand (which I am playing offline), kinda feels strange, because I recognize the mechanics -- a mixture between Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro, without the latter’s central deflection system -- and general boss typology, but I don’t have the motivation to deeply commit these opponents’ patterns to memory for precisely the former reason.² So, I’ve been summoning in-game helpers when they’ve been available, after maybe a few attempts by my lonesome, and making liberal use of the Spirit Ash summons. This feels okay to me! -- even if it means that I’ll probably ultimately be not as qualified to write about these aspects later on.
Another curious, although predictable, thing: when I fought Margit, a major boss, he was maybe the second boss I’d fought up to that point; yet the pre-Elden Ring boss whose patterns most closely resemble Margit’s is a very late-stage boss from Dark Souls 3, the Dragonslayer Armor! Elden Ring’s design has to simultaneously account for everyone who’s mastered, or at least completed, around six other comparable games, while sticking to the knife’s edge of feasibility with regard to mechanics that aren’t fundamentally too different from Demon’s Souls’, wherein timing one’s dodges (and then punishing the enemy within a smaller and smaller window) takes precedence over, say, one’s positioning. This predicament of sequential design has been pretty obvious when comparing the earliest bosses of Dark Souls to Bloodborne’s, but I think that Elden Ring sets the bar higher than ever before. It’s kind of a funny situation, given that this is FromSoftware’s highest selling title thus far, by a couple- or several-million, and one of the fastest selling “open world” games of all time. That’s going to be a lot of disappointed people!
Well, then. Those are some thoughts.
──────⊱⁜⊰──────
¹ Dragon’s Dogma came to be one of my very favorite games of the past decade. I still highly recommend it! Elden Ring hardly renders it secondary.
² Maybe that’s not the entire reason. It could be also that my relative and current detachment from Elden Ring’s narrative is creating a detachment to committing to its bosses for as long as they require, mano a mano, too.

Pairing: Alpha!Bucky x Omega!Reader, Bucky x Reader
Summary: You and Bucky end up stranded in a safe house after a mission. Should be fine, except your early heat and Bucky’s secrets.
Warnings: +18 only. Smut, knotting, A/B/O stuff, dubcon
Word Count: 3,401
A/N: Okay this is for the 6th Night of Chanukah. So sorry for the delay. I really hope you guys enjoy and I apologize for any spelling or grammar errors. I’ll read it back over later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bucky observed your mannerisms from the pilot seat of the Quinjet. Your scent was becoming musty and he knew exactly what that meant. In fact, his whole body knew, the way he would naturally gravitate to you when your scent took on this unique change. The raging hard-ons and the… nocturnal emissions. He felt like a teenage boy when your heat came closer.
He wasn’t sure this mission was a good idea for the two of you. It was an expected smash and grab then lay low but with your oncoming heat, faster than he recalled last time, Bucky wasn’t sure about your safety.
Not from the targets. No, you could hold your own.
Your safety from him.
Bucky wouldn’t call himself feral by any means as an Alpha but to say he was untethered around an omega was putting it lightly. Specifically you. Your smell even without the musky allure of on-coming heat is entrancing to him. He was never sure how to broach the topic of the two of you, after all, he’d have to confess to something Sam playfully jab at him about.
But Steve knew better. Bucky was a one Omega kind of Alpha, as was Steve. That’s how it was ingrained in them and no amount of brainwashing could undo instincts.
Landing the jet you jump out of your seat to get your gear on for the mission.
However, Bucky did have one other issue when it came to talking about any of this with you, your avoidance of him if at all possible one on one.
He assumes it’s his overbearing Alpha presence, in the past Omega’s had commented on his scent which made him stay clear of them. What was worse and unthinkable was your avoidance due to his past with Hydra.
You’d lost everything to them at a young age when your powers came out in their warpath to obtain you.
Shaking the thoughts from his head he clears his head to focus on the task at hand. He knew focusing would be instrumental in the success of this mission, given the thickening of your scent. Setting the autopilot to return the Quinjet he confirms the location of the safe house before exiting the Jet so it can return.
Tumblr media
The mission was barely a success, while you and Bucky had been able to take out guards from afar your scent was spreading and alerting the enemy of your arrival. Bucky had taken lead, making you stay farther back. And finally told to go get a car for travel to the safe house
Huffing out in frustration you kicked dirt up making your way towards the already cleared front entrance. The last thing you wanted to show in front of Bucky was weakness, he was a man of duty and efficacy. He was an Alpha you admired and fantasizes about. The last thing you needed to be was a thorn in his side.
After all, you put so much effort into being an exemplary team member, not being in the way, only noticed when doing what needs to be done. Effective and unnoticeable. It was how you lived your life.
Your oncoming heat due to your designation was ruining your first duo mission with Bucky, and honestly, you would rather be shot in the head. To be an inconvenience and deterrent on a mission, to be one to Bucky no less. It made your chest squeeze, your growing heat scent sour.
Locating a quick get-away car you pull out your kit to unlock the door, your mind wandering as you began the task of hotwiring, something you could do in your sleep after years of “borrowing” cars.
What if he was hurt because you didn’t have his back?
Worse, your mind supplied, what if he’s disgusted by your heat?
Oh, that hurt.
Your stupid heat wasn’t supposed to be starting for another two days, let alone pre-heat scent spikes. Though, if you were honest the last couple of heats had been irregular in starting. One even started without any lead-up, just bam you were ruining your clothes and craving a knot like an Omega on her first heat.
It was embarrassing, and thank god Bucky had left the common room well before it started. When Nat found you, you let a comment slip that Bucky was nearby but wasn’t affected by your smell. She simply scoffed mentioning something cryptic about only one Omega for Bucky.
At that moment you thought nothing was as embarrassing as that, well tonight you proved yourself wrong. This was the most embarrassing thing ever. Certainly, after this, you’d be on desk duty for a while until your heats got under control.
The loud explosion signals Bucky’s success in taking down the hideout you wait for him to appear and he does making a brisk jog for you. Once in the car, you take off. The only conversation between the two of you his instructions to the safe house. His hand over his nose was enough to keep you silent and compliant. Clearly, your scent had gotten worse.
Tumblr media
You two make it to the small cabin 2 hours later, and you’re sweating even in the cool temp. You tired to air the car out but the open windows only proved to push Bucky’s smell directly in your path and that only made your thighs clench, slipper with your slick. You watching Bucky shift in the seat in what you assumed was uncomfortable at your growing arousal. Missing when his metal hand rubbed on the growing erection trying to soothe his own ache.
You both jump out of the car once parked needing out of the confined space of smells, desperate to put some walls between each other. Yours out of shame, Bucky’s out of necessity.
He wasn’t sure how much longer he could handle this. He’d never been around an Omega in their heat, sure pre and post but never right in the thick of it. He was a faithful man about Omega’s, if he’s with one that’s the one. Wringing his hand he heard you cry out in pain. He may not have experienced an Omega in their heat but he knew you didn’t have anything here to help you go through this. But he did.
He had the thing you needed, and god did he want to give it to you. You whimper out, even with a wall between you two the sound carried as if he was beside you. He was getting restless, the longer your scent permeated the air, the harder it would be for him to keep his distance. Bucky would rather have this conversation now while you were both somewhat coherent before he did something he’d regret later without permission.
With wide steps, he finds himself in front of the door where you laid. Bucky inhales deep and it was a mistake, the voracious growl he can’t stop from smelling you scares him, and the hint of sour in your smell scared you too.
Knocking is the only thing he can manage to do, the doorknob in his metal hand crunching under pressure. When you call for him to enter the knob falls and he pushes the door open. Taking a tentative step in he sees you on the bed.
Curled up, simply in your bra and underwear, skin shining with sweat or slick depending upon where he looked. The smell was better than anything he’d ever smelt.
Smelling Bucky closer, you felt your abdomen spasm and more slick produce from you. Your body readying you for the Alpha who smelled so tantalizing and forbidden. Not bothering lifting your head to see the sexual temptation of this Alpha your voice muffled. “Unless you’re here to help you need to leave now.”
“I,” Bucky pauses, “I want to help but I gotta tell you something first.” Closing your eyes tightly you were dreading his next words. Obviously, it would be just sex for him, what good are you to an Alpha such as Bucky Barnes?
“Go on,” you nod your head trying to hide your rejection before he can speak by keeping your head down in the bed, but he catches the faint sourness in your sent. He won’t let it deter him though.
“You know I’ve never been with an omega,” Bucky shifted awkwardly at his confession. Your head lifted looking at him in barely disguised shock. Never been with an Omega? It seemed unlikely, perhaps he meant since Hydra.
“Even before?” You paused not wanting to elaborate on what before was, doing your best to ignore the growing slick and cramping frequency.
“Yeah, even before. Just beta’s.” His head bobbing up and down, the metal hand running through his short locks a nervous tick you found endearing. But now, with this new knowledge, you were trepidacious.
“So what, am I some kind of uncharted territory for you to conquer?” Bucky’s eyes widen at your words, baffled you would think so little of him but then again what actions has he taken to show otherwise he thought to himself.
“What?! No! I just-” His backpedaling was annoying, you could be just sex, it would be hard to work together afterward but to be a conquest, an experiment that’s just too far.
“The connection between an Alpha and Omega is tantric and pure during a heat, you can’t do this because you just want to see what it’s like,” your ire making the room smell of burnt hair.
“I would never-” He tries once more to take control of the conversation but god you were stubborn.
“Cause Bucky if you just think I’m an object that you carve one minute and-” He cuts you off, voice raised.
“Will you let me talk!?” The boom in his voice making you cower at reflex from a loud Alpha. Your pheromones pushing out a pleasant scent to calm him.
“I’m doin’ this because I care about you,” Bucky looks down while your eyes round at his confession, you sit up on your knees edging towards the end of the bead. “I think about you a lot, and not just cause your smell is everywhere Omega.”
Looking up you’re in front of him, his eyes widen to match yours. He’s never called you by your designation before, your name, and maybe on the rare chance doll but never this. Your scent permeates the air around him.
“If we do this-”
“Okay Alpha,” your voice more confident than it had been since Bucky broached this subject.
He knew he should tell you he’d mate you, that nothing would stop him but he couldn’t find it in him with your consent, and the way you smell he fell. In an instant Bucky is on you, lips colliding, fingers digging into your flesh. You mutter against his lips. He pulls away only a fraction.
“Nest,” you whimper, slick pooling down your legs. “I need a nest.” Nodding his head as Bucky doesn’t trust his voice he kisses you once more only to disappear out the door.
When he returns he has the pillows from the couch, a throw blanket, and even some couch back cushions. Leaving once more he finds the laundry room and grabs all the blankets and sheets he can before dumping them on the bed. You can’t help the laugh that bubbles up when he returns.
He leaves to get more but you call out his name. He turns back to you with a brow raised. “This is enough but clothes, I need clothes. I need your clothes.” You inform pulling your shirt from the ground where you had ripped your clothes of for reprieve from your heat.
“Right,” He rips his jacket, sweater, and undershirt off throwing them in front of you before taking his pants off to do the same.
You’re body humming with giddiness as you build the nest with his scent and yours slowly molding together to give a safe space. Too consumed in your task you miss the shift on the bed, Bucky coming behind your bent form tucking his pants into the intricate weaving you had done with the clothes and sheets.
Rough warm hand and cool sleek metal land only your hips. You whimper at the feeling, falling into the just set nest.
“Oh sweet Omega,” voice enticing against your ear while he leans over you. His chest barely touching your back but you can feel the heat radiating off of him. His arms slip down yours, intertwining your fingers. Suddenly he falls back pulling you with him to hand in his lap.
He’s hot, so hot, or maybe it’s you? You wiggle on his lap, feeling his erection bare against your covered back end. He shimmies you on his lap, the space allowing for his engorged cock to jut out between your legs.
You salivate at the sight of his large cock twitch. “You see that Omega?” a tingle slips down your spine at his rough voice in your ear.
He reaches down with his flesh hand holding your hand he wraps your fingers around the base, feeling the beginning of his knot swelling. It’s just the faintest bulge to the eyes but in your hands, it feels fully formed. You know it’s not, your omega instincts tell you it’s not but you shake your head anyway.
“Too big,” is all you can get out, heat consuming any syntax.
“Oh my sweet omega,” mewling at his endearing words he chuckles. “It’s not even near popped, but it will be.” his hand leaves yours holding him. “Once I’m rooted deep here.” His hand covers your mound, pushing the soaked fabric to the side he slips his fingers between our swollen folds. Twirling fingers along your clit you buck on top of him, crying out.
“I think my Omega is ready,” you writhe against him, moaning in agreement at his words. You were beyond ready, you had been ready the moment you stepped into this cabin but you had to wait. Had to wait for your alpha “Present.”
Your omega instincts move you immediately to your hands and knees. Bucky’s metal hand slides up your spine to between your shoulder blades pushing you down to your elbows and your ass up higher. Satisfied with your position he raises to his knees.
Pulling your underwear down to your bent knees at the same time he takes his red cock weeping cum from the tip. He feels something crawling just below the surface, a sensation he’s never had when fucking a beta.
It had been bubbling at the surface when he began to smell you but now, with you presenting, his cock head slotted at your entrance you rock back pushing his cock head but not entering just yet, needing more force to take such a bulbous tip, something is slipping away.
No, you shouldn’t be trying to take it. He snarls at your movements and you freeze. Satisfied at your response he pushes in, it’s almost impossible, but when he swivels his hips and growls your name he’s in. Then he’s pushing all the way in, your walls suffocating him, struggling to take him. But you will take him. Slick is pouring around him and out of you, your body desperate to take everything he gives.
Blood is rushing in his ears, he can barely make out the sounds you are making. All he can feel is your body beneath his, the way he’s dominating you, how your pheromones release the most exquisite sweet smell when he enters you. Had he known, if he had only known…
“Bucky,” you sigh in relief when he bottoms out, your full, more full than any time you could recall. It was like he was made to reach every part of you. He growls out and you’re quick to correct yourself. “Alpha.”
“Fu-uck,” he gets out, eyes squeezed tight. “I never knew-” he can’t finish his words.
“I know,” you concur, “I know.”
He pulls back and slams into you faster than you’re prepared for. You wail and your arms collapse under you but you turn your head, pushing one side of your face into the mattress that smells like you, like Bucky. Together.
Fingers dig into the sheets, drool pouring out your mouth and your eyes roll back when he pulls back to shove himself back in you, your body jerking forward at the force.
Something wicked is climbing up Bucky’s back with each thrust, the sensation mudding his brain but it’s different from the brainwashing. It’s different from anything else he’s ever felt. It’s part of him but something he’s not familiar with. As he continues to thrust back and forth you move with him.
He holds your hips still, hissing as he slowly pulls back. Punishing you for trying to take control. A pitiful wail falls from your mouth when he eases his hips forward into you. “You are mine Omega,”
You nod your head against the bed, anything to stop this slow pace. “You will submit to your alpha.” You whimper out a scratchy “Yes Alpha.” It’s enough.
He pounds into you, no not pound, pummels. His pace is fast, unforgiving, and more pleasurable than anything you’ve felt before.
Your hair falls in front of you, displaying your mating gland to him. It calls to him, the rush of blood making it swell, preparing for him, for his mark. He just knew it. Never mind it was always inflamed during an omega’s heat.
The wet slap of flesh meeting, his staggered breaths, your moans growing in volume, the taste of your sweat when he licks a trail up your back, the smell of your fluids combined that’s squelching out with each thrust, it’s all a new symphony to his senses.
One that sends him further to the place he’s wanted to be for decades. When he swivels his hips moving in and then out of you you’re crying, gushing out around him, cumming so suddenly you’re gasping for breath.
Your limp but Bucky holds you up by your waist, Your plaint body swaying with his thrusts, never once losing his tempo. He’s chasing something, something a fleeting thought that he may not want to do so but it was too late. Too late and too good.
When you finally regain the sensation of your body he’s never stopped once. For a moment you’re worried but remember Bucky is more than a simple Alpha. He knows you’ve returned to your sense before you can say anything.
He hooks his arms in yours, pulling them back behind you at your elbow joint. Thrusting wildly your breasts bouncing with each thrust.
“Are you ready to take my knot?” He growls, his voice is deeper than anytime you’ve heard before. If it wasn’t for the heat fuzziness overtaking you maybe you’d register the warning sign.
“Yes Alpha, please.” You whine instead, begging for what your body craves, the very reason you’re in this position.
“Are you ready to be marked?” He nuzzles into your neck, licking your mating gland. Something doesn’t feel right about that.
“Alpha?” Your head moves to the side to move him away but Bucky remains steadfast in his attention on your gland.
“Mine forever,” his voice is garbled, you’re fairly certain his smell has taken on a spicier sent. He’s in a rut. The base of his cock is swelling, catching almost in the last thrust. He pushes in all the way and it pops.
“No!” you try to struggle but he has you prone to his desires. “What are you-”
It’s so much at once, his knot is caught and you feel his cum flooding your insides. Nothing slipping out at the pulsing knot keeping you sealed
You cry out when his teeth land on your matting gland piercing with ease. The groan that vibrates from his chest shakes you. There’s a pop and then snap sensation that reverberates through your whole body as the mark takes.
He pulls his teeth back, licking and humping against you, pushing himself further into you though it’s impossible to give you more his instincts demand he is rooted to you. After a few more seconds he is rolling you both to your side, releasing your arms and warping his around you to cocoon you in his sent.
“You’re it for me,” his voice is rough but he sounds like your Bucky. “There’s no choice.”

Cute mini fic idea☺️
You know those love heart sweets with the messages on? Y/n gets her hands on some from the Duke.
Y/n leaves some on Heisenberg’s work bench to share with random messages she pays no mind to.
These are the messages on each one
Kiss me
I’m yours
I love you
Email me (the himbo doesn’t understand because why email when y/n is right there??)
Heisenberg finds them + gets confused thinking y/n is trying to tell him something.
After some mental gymnastics and back + forth he bites the bullet + kisses y/n.
Imagine how confused y/n would be but rolls with it because she wants him too? Especially when he mentions the email one 🤣🤣
This is so creative thank you!
The Duke never failed to disappoint when it came to new items you've never seen before. Whether it's a new collectable that you have no clue how he got his hands on, or a fun foreign snack, he always had so many surprises. During your visit today, you were simply picking up some stuff for Karl. Of course, the Duke had everything he was looking for. But, he made a new offer as well.
"(Y/N), I have something you may be interested in.", he said. "Oh? And what would that be?", your curiosity got the best of you. "I've acquired these little candy hearts. They're meant to be a sweet treat you share with a loved one or someone you care about. I'm not sure who I work with that would like this other than you. Perhaps you could put them to good use." He handed you a box of little heart candies and you put them in your pocket before saying your goodbyes. You would've discussed them more, but Karl was eager about some new supplies that he wanted you to pick up so you didn't want to waste any time.
On the walk home, you opened the box and took one of the candies out. You only observed it a little before trying it. It wasn't overwhelmingly sweet and the texture was soft but chalky. You knew he'd probably like them.
You make it back to the factory and quickly make it to Karl's office where he was hunched over at his desk, busy at work. "I got your stuff. How's the work going?" You place his supplies near his desk and wait for his answer. "Well, it's work. It's not gonna get itself done." He said bluntly. "Well, sounds like it's going well." You put your hand in your pocket and grab one of the heart candies, quickly pulling it out and placing it on his desk before leaving the room. He looks over at the candy, confused of what it was. He took the small item in his hand and scanned each side of it. One side was blank while the other said "Kiss me". "What's this?" He tried to be a little loud so you could hear from outside of the room by now. "Just a little treat." With curiosity, he put the candy in his mouth and continued working as the pleasant taste filled his mouth. The taste didn't last long, but the words did. "Does she want me to kiss her? I mean the message was pretty straight forward." He thought.
A few hours passed and you were bored. Since there's not much to do around the factory, you sometimes take up small chores to help out Karl. You walk back into his office with a broom and begin to sweep the floors. They weren't particularly dirty, but it gave you something to do. Many of the candies still sat in your pocket. As you swept around the room, you quietly placed another candy on his desk. Without a word, you pick up all the swept up dust and other junk from the floor and left the room. When you're gone, he takes a look at the new candy. "I'm yours." It read. A smile grew on his face. "Hm.... guess she knows what she wants."
A few more hours pass and now he's in a different room. His workshop room. He was trying to design a new, elaborate weapon to attach to some new experiments. You peek inside for only a bit, cautiously avoiding the weapon that was being built. "You're doing great." You say as you place another candy on a table beside him. You left without another word. Normally, you wouldn't be checking on him so many times a day. But, you liked the idea of congratulating him on his hard work. After all, he does put so much of his energy into his work.
He became eager to read each new message. He quickly checks the words on this candy. "Call me." "Call me? But I'm right here. " He says, but you've already left the room. "She must be playing hard to get." He stopped working on the intense weapon in front of him and began to think. He was feeling so many new things that confused him, but he wasn't against it.
He was finally done with his work for the day. With a lot of confusing and new thoughts on his mind, he walked out of his workshop. You weren't too far away and you could hear the door opening and closing. You make your way over to where you heard the noise so you could give him another treat. When he saw you walking towards him, he froze. It was a feeling he had never felt before in his life. He felt nervous and was worried that if he were to speak, it would come out all stuttered and weird. "Hey! Done for the day?" You ask and hand him another candy from your pocket. He held it and stared at it for a bit which confused you. Why wasn't he just eating it? You glanced at the candy and noticed something you had been oblivious to before. There was writing on it, but you were unable to read it from where you stood. But, he could read it. He could read the words very clearly. "I love you."
He swallowed anxiously and looked at you for a second. "Are you alright?" You ask. Suddenly, after taking a deep breath to prepare himself, he brings his body even closer to yours. He places his hand on the back of your neck and pulls your face closer to his as he leans into a sudden kiss. You nearly gasp against his lips at first, but loosen up under his touch. It wasn't expected and it was confusing, but you didn't mind it. You even placed your hands on his chest for support, worried you may melt into the kiss so much that you'd fall over. He pulls away and looks into your eyes, unsure of everything at that moment. It scared him to feel so unsure about something. But, the smile on your face and glimmer in your eyes helped ease his stress.
"What was that for?" You ask softly, still resting your hands on his chest. "Well, you did tell me earlier to kiss you." His words caused you to tilt your head in confusion. "What?" "The candies. The ones you've been giving me all day. They said stuff like 'kiss me' and 'I'm yours'" He held out the most recent uneaten candy for you to see. Low and behold, the words "I love you" were printed on it. "One of them even said 'call me' which I thought was particularly strange considering we're never too far apart." You had no idea what to say. Your face grew hot and red with embarassment. He realized what had happened. "You had no idea they said anything, did you?" He too felt incredibly embarrassed now. You began to laugh at the comically bizarre situation. He didn't know whether to be mad or laugh along with you. "I had no clue they said anything!" You pressed your forehead to his chest as you continued to laugh.
His confusion from earlier only grew stronger. "So, you weren't secretly hinting at your love for me?" He felt like a fool for thinking anyone could feel that way about him, especially you. "No, but I'm glad I was even if I didn't notice it." "What? But, I'm sure you didn't actually want me to kiss you, right?" You broke the eye contact with him by looking at the floor in attempts to hide your newfound bashfulness. "Well, I don't mind. I mean.. I didn't mind it..." The room was quiet which only made you more nervous. "I really liked it actually. I really... like you." You felt his thumb rub your chin as he held it gently. Your breath hitches at the touch as he slowly cranes your head up so you can see his face once again. His classic grin had paved its way back onto his face. You smile and pull him into a kiss once again. This time you both melted a little as this one helped ease the tension. You pull away and giggle at the bizarre situation.
"Call me?" "I'd love to."

Aelin tried to convince herself that she got up and got ready two hours early for class because of her busy schedule. She kept telling herself it was for the meeting she had with her advisor, about a possible internship at the end of the semester.
She knew that both reasons, while extremely important, were full of shit. She knew she’d showered, blow dried and curled her hair for Rowan. It wasn’t that she was trying to impress him. She’d already done that and the chance she had to be with him had come and gone.
No, now it was about proving to him that even though this class may be a gen ed, she was taking it seriously.
Dropping the class had crossed her mind. She really didn’t need to take it, she could still find a different one to pick up. But she didn’t want to think about the sort of impression it would leave about her.
If there was anything to know about Aelin Galathynius, it was that she was not a quitter, nor did she run from her problems.
Or heartaches.
With one last look in the mirror, and a whistle from Lysandra, Aelin was out the door and hurrying across campus. She grabbed a coffee on the way, but avoided her usual place, knowing full well that Rowan enjoyed the same famous cafe that she did.
He wasn’t there yet when she got to the hall, but she took the same seat she had the class before.
She wondered if Rowan would be looking for her this time.
She quickly shook the thought away.
With her hot coffee on the corner of her fold up desk, she was pulling out her notebook and a pen, waiting anxiously for class to begin.
For him to walk through the door.
Apparently he liked to be right on the dot, though, because students continued to wander in, but he did not.
She was tapping her pen against her notebook, doing her best not to stare at the clock. She was just anxious for her day to start. It wasn’t that she wanted to see Rowan.
Professor Whitethorn, she amended in her head. She had to quit thinking of him as Rowan. She couldn’t think of him like that anymore, his body pressing into hers, lips on her neck, as he—
Shaking her head, Aelin sighed and suddenly realized that the rest of the class had hushed. She was so focused on reprimanding herself for her highly inappropriate thoughts that she hadn’t noticed him come through the door and begin setting up for class. When she dared to glance towards the front, she found his eyes on her. He quickly looked away, going back to his laptop and setting up the PowerPoint on screen.
Maybe he hadn’t been looking at her.
Maybe it had all been in her mind.
But she didn’t think it had been.
He had been watching her.
“Happy Thursday, class,” he began, as the title page of his presentation flashed onto the board. “Glad to see you all showed up again. Must mean my first class didn’t suck.” Quiet laughter thrummed through the room. Aelin couldn’t muster a laugh, though. “On Tuesday, we covered the basics. So, today… Sorry, we’re doing that again.”
More laughter, especially from the pretty, flirty girls up front.
Aelin couldn’t help but roll her eyes.
Which, when she settled her eyes back on Rowan, he definitely saw.
Come on, get your shit together, she chastised herself. With her back straightened, she gave him her full attention.
She took dutiful notes, but his slides didn’t hold much in the way of information. They were mostly headers, with a few bullet points. Most of the important information, information she knew would be critical for homework or exams, came straight from Rowan’s mouth.
It was clear that he loved mythology, that it wasn’t just a class his aunt had tossed his way and told him to figure it out. He was a trove of knowledge and she noticed he had a habit of going on slight tangents when he got going on a topic he was clearly interested in.
After a student asked him to clarify what he meant about Hercules not being Zeus’ only son, he ended up talking for nearly twenty minutes about what the beloved Disney movie had gotten wrong. Aelin had stopped taking notes and was watching him go on and on about how Hades, while god of the underworld, was not necessarily a villain. He just had a job to do. A job that had rules that must be followed, or the consequences could damn not only him, but others involved. His eyes found hers again and the amused smile on her face fell as she made the correlation between their own situation and the story.
They held each other’s gazes for far longer than was appropriate, and Rowan cleared his throat, going back to the PowerPoint, and the  predetermined lesson plans he’d made, which didn’t include children’s movie breakdowns.
She watched him.
She listened.
And she found it all fascinating.
Rowan peeked at the clock after going on and on, and stilled, rubbing the back of his neck. “Well, I guess I’ll end there. There is an assignment due by tomorrow evening. You can find and submit it online. It’s an opinion piece. I want a little insight as to why you were so interested to take this class, or what you’ve found fascinating so far.” He sat on his desk, his legs hanging over the side, his feet nearly touching the ground as he leaned back on his palms. Aelin found it charming. “You’re going to write a short essay telling me of your favorite deity. It could be one I’ve talked about so far, or one I haven’t. It’s your choice. But, tell me why they are your favorite. Give me a little depth. And, remember, this is a college course. Grammar counts.”
The clock struck nine-thirty and everyone began packing up. Aelin had been so captivated by his voice that she had to snap herself back to reality.
She quickly packed up her bag, alongside the other students around her. She noticed then how young they all were, and she was willing to bet that she may be the only senior on the roster. As she was descending the stairs, she found Rowan’s eyes on her again, but he looked away as his attention was taken, thanks to the group of girls who’d been sitting in the front row. She heard vague questions of whether they could all write about Aphrodite, since they all related to her.
The scoff Aelin thought she’d kept to herself had apparently been out loud, since not only Rowan looked at her as she passed, but so did the three girls. With his attention on her again, she decided to give him a little wave.
“See you later, Professor Whitethorn.”
If there was some extra sway to her hips, it wasn’t on purpose.
At least that’s what she told herself.
Two and a half hours later, Aelin was starving. She’d just gotten out of an extremely complicated lab and she could barely focus over the growling of her stomach. Twice, the instructor had looked over at her, half expecting to find a dog stashed under the table she was working at.
So when the class let out, she was hurrying toward the cafeteria ready to get a salad from the salad bar and a big ass slice of pizza.
It was all about balance.
As she was waiting in line to fill her plate with salad, she heard a voice behind her.
“Are you actually getting lettuce or just filling your plate with ham, cheese, and croutons?”
Aelin looked over her shoulder to find Chaol, her ex, suppressing a smile.
Aelin chuckled. “If it’s the same price, you may as well pile up on the good stuff.”
Chaol gave her a small smile. “Fair enough. It’s good to see you, Aelin. You look good.”
Things hadn’t ended the best between her and Chaol, but that had been just after freshman year. At least now when they ran into one another, they could have nice little conversations like this one.
No hard feelings.
“You too,” she said, and he did. He’d been in an accident the year before. They weren’t sure he was going to walk again. In all honesty, it was just good to see him on his feet.
“How long until your class?” He asked, sliding his tray along behind hers.
She glanced down at her watch. “About forty five minutes. You?”
“This is my long break,” he sighed. “I’ve got an hour and a half, but didn’t feel like leaving campus. Want to have lunch with me?”
“Sure.” Her smile wasn’t forced, it was easy and she was glad they could even do this, when three years again, they could barely be in the same room.
“I assume you’re getting a piece of pizza after this,” Chaol said with a smirk, nodding towards her plate. “So I’ll grab us a table while you get the rest of your lunch.”
She scoffed but nodded, and went off to get a slice of pizza. When she ordered her pizza, she also got a slice of cheesecake. It was his favorite, something she hadn’t forgotten, but it didn’t hurt that she liked it, too.
Finding him in the cafeteria, she sat down at the table across from him. “How’s Yrene doing?”
He blushed, and Aelin had to admit it was adorable. After his accident, he’d fallen for his physical therapist, and she was just as smitten with him. It must have been all the one-on-one sessions, because Chaol had never been one to let someone in. Aelin had met Yrene early in her med classes, but Yrene had specialized in PT and graduated in less than three years, taking as many classes as she could manage and even studying through the summers as well.
“It’s going good,” he said, at last. “We, uh, just moved in together, actually.”
Aelin lifted a brow. “That was fast.”
Chaol shot her a look.
Aelin laughed. “I didn’t mean it like that. I meant, good for you. I like Yrene. A lot. You two are good together.”
Chaol cleared his throat before taking a bite of his salad. “Thanks.”
Aelin chuckled, taking a bite of her pizza.
Chaol blinked. “What?”
“You get so uncomfortable when it comes to feelings,” she said. “Always have.”
His eyes narrowed at her. “That’s not true.”
Aelin stopped mid-chew and raised a brow.
Even Chaol couldn’t help but chuckle at the expression. “Yeah, yeah. Whatever. What about you? Seeing anyone?”
Aelin hesitated, then said, “No.”
A slow grin appeared on Chaol’s mouth. “Didn’t sound so sure about what one.”
Aelin shrugged. “Better be nice or I’m not sharing this magnificent cheesecake with you.”
Holding up his hands in placation, Chaol went back to his salad. Rowan was a dangerous topic, one she wouldn’t share with anyone but Lysandra, so she summed it up quickly. “Met someone I thought I hit it off with. Turns out we didn’t work.”
He slowly nodded. Aelin knew he’d had a couple failed relationships between her and Yrene. “I get it, I’m sorry. Still sucks.”
Shrugging again, she turned to her salad. “It happens. Not a big deal. So if you’re living with Yrene, does that mean you and Dorian broke up? Or is he playing house with you, too?”
Chaol leveled her with a look. Chaol and Dorian had been best friends long before they came to the University of Orynth. They were both from Adarlan, both trying to get away from overbearing fathers, and decided college across the country was the way to do it. They’d been roommates every year and Aelin couldn’t even imagine Chaol living with anyone except Dorian. But now he was. “He moved into an apartment with Manon this semester when I moved in with Yrene.”
Aelin blinked. “Blackbeak? He moved in with Manon Blackbeak?”
Nodding, Chaol went on. “Apparently, they’ve been dating for about a year, without anyone noticing.”
Something in the way he said it told Aelin that he had noticed, but when Dorian had his mind set on something, there was no stopping him. And apparently, he’d decided to date one of the most terrifying women on campus.
Aelin’s response was eloquent. “Wow.”
Chaol grinned. “I like it when you’re caught off guard. It’s satisfying.”
With a scoffed she nudged his leg with the toe of her sneaker. “Well, I don’t. Dorian will be getting a very angry phone call this afternoon.”
“I’ll be sure to give him a warning,” Chaol promised.
Aelin chuckled, taking the last bite of her pizza. “It’s good to see you all happy, though. Really.”
Chaol’s eyes softened. “Thanks, Aelin.”
She nodded. “Even if I am terrified that Dorian will get eaten alive.”
Chaol laughed, and she had forgotten how nice Chaol’s rare, hearty laugh was.
She meant it. She was so happy for them, both of them. It was interesting how things changed over the course of a few short years.
Their conversation continued, as did the laughs, and before she knew it, Aelin glanced down at her watch. She had less than fifteen minutes to haul ass back to the nursing building for her next class. Chaol, who had much longer to sit with nothing to do, assured her that he could handle her trash and told her to get to class. With a hug, and a promise that they’d have dinner soon, all of them, even Manon, Aelin was hurrying out of the cafeteria building.
Somehow, the entire time she’d been having lunch with Chaol, she hadn’t noticed the set of pine green eyes watching her.
Rowan’s own break had been at the same time as hers, but the gen ed building was much closer than wherever she was having to run off to, so he had longer to sit and— there was no denying it— brood. They were halfway across the room, so he couldn’t hear any of their conversation. He had no clue who the tall man was she smiled at so often, but clearly they were very familiar with each other with how easily they talked. And he made her laugh. A lot.
Rowan wasn’t sure why that was what grated on his nerves the most, but it unsettled him.
Seeing Aelin with someone else, someone clearly her own age, it all unsettled him. He didn’t like it. Almost as much as her parting words in class had.
See you later, Professor Whitethorn.
It’s like she was mocking him, yet at the same time, she clearly wasn’t. She was doing exactly as he’d asked of her, seeing him as her professor, not as her boyfriend.
No, he reprimanded himself. Not boyfriend. Hookup.
They’d had sex one time, that didn’t give either of them any claim over the other. It was a hookup and nothing more. And she was his gods-damned student.
She was off limits, in every way possible.
Yet he couldn’t figure out why seeing her with someone else, someone she should clearly be interested in instead of him, had him seeing red.
